Always a pleasant experience.

Tried this place for dinner tonight and it really didnt sit well for me. We really liked our server, and my date liked her dish (chicken penne). I had the beef tip penne. Chewy (very chewy) little nuggets of grey meat served in a now questionable sauce, and the portions were very small. I left hungry. Very sub par compared to their breakfast. Dinner....no thanks.

-Secret cheese on seafood pasta Ordered seafood pasta on ubereats; seafood delight with olive oil and garlic. As I take a few bites I realize, the restaurant put cheese in (which I definitely did not order). I call, say is this normal and how do I get refund - person on phone calls manager, then calls me back to say, you have to go through Uber for refund (fair enough) and *we add cheese to takeout orders (without notifying the customer)* and if you don t want to be made sick next time you should leave a note. Wow. I said, I m trying not to take it out on you as the middle person here, repeating what your manager said - but you guys made the mistake here, not me; it s not my job to leave notes about secret ingredients. Yet it persisted, I should have written a note to avoid the allergen that is secretly added to takeout orders; that s what I would do if I had an allergy . So in addition to a stomach ache I get some light ableism, lovely! Now I wait to see if Uber will process the refund

Reasonable prices, quality food, excellent service, and comfortable seating. These are just some of the reason that ViVetha is worth checking out. Brunch is the main draw and comes with extra fruit to start your day right. Check out the blueberry pancakes. They come with sautéed apples and are delicious with sausage one the side. Come early since the secert is out and it can get a bit busy.

My family and I have been dining at the ViPei chains for over 10 years. We are always met with prompt and friendly service. Classic brunch dishes come with a healthy portion of your main, potatoes, fruit and salad. Best brunch place in the city

I used to come here years ago it was amazing. The restaurant has changed and not for the better. Food tastes bland and tasteless. Why does it come out less than 5 minutes? I wonder if it s just microwaved

Went for a quiet dinner for two on a Tuesday night. Great service, great food, cannot complain. Had the bruschetta, some wine, carbonara and steak. Need to go back to try more of the list of 32 different pasta options! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options listed! Two out of three times visiting this restaurant in the last three months for dine in, the service was underwhelming and not great, compared to what we are used to at another breakfast spot. We enjoy the food, and the close location to the beach, which is why we came back. Unfortunately, the paper menu with Special French Toast did not mention that it came with bacon and sausage (Im vegetarian). The waitress mentioned she had to change the menu. She offered to fix my plate without offering more fruit or something else to replace the meat, and not stating what she meant by fix. The grease from the meat already came into contact with my French Toast. We also sat for some time when we arrived, as she was somewhere else doing something (restocking something or other?); we almost walked out (we should have). She was also coughing towards the back area without covering her mouth. Needless to say, we wont be coming back.

It has the vibe of a dying restaurant. The food was edible but not tasteful. The pizza can only be ordered as takeout. The service was neighbourly but not enough to make up for the lack of tastebud stimulation.

Definitely could tell they try to deliver good quality food! It seemed like most things were made in house, with little to no frozen pre-made things. I had a delicious smoked salmon poached eggs with hollandaise sauce on a potato pancake. Dined with two others that thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Although the prices are a bit high, I would say you get what you pay for! If you can afford it, I would highly recommend it. Definitely will go back next time I am in the neighborhood.

This is no longer an Italian restaurant, it looks like Italian food, but the taste... Bud Spencer is turning in his grave

Not sure what their idea of pizza is; mine doesnt include what looked like store bought pie with curiously cut toppings creating a very bland combination. No wonder they only make pizza to go.

Just wonderful! I had an invite to have breakfast at ViVetha Bistro before leaving Toronto The breakfast was amazing!! I had the big breakfast that came with French toast that was incredible. The service was on point and she was attentive to all our needs. I will be back when I come for future visits.

Vivetha Restaurant is a gem. The menu has many different offerings. The servings are more than ample. The flavours are delicious. The staff is friendly and it s lovely to have the option of the outdoor patio. We ll definitely return. Cheers

I ve bought pizza here once and Tara was extremely nice and friendly. Because of that interaction I felt comfortable going back. I had to use the bathroom after finishing my shift Nextdoor, and was going to buy pizza afterwards. I asked use the bathroom into which the very rude blonde girl, short hair and bangs, informed me with the upmost attitude that there were public bathrooms accessible. Indirectly telling me to use them instead. And that the bathrooms were for guests only. I ended up leaving and not buying food due to the interaction that occurred. While leaving the rude employee had comments towards me, which is EXTREMELY unprofessional. The issue isn t that I wasn t able to use the bathroom despite having intentions to buy food afterwards, it was the way I was spoken to and treated. Will not be going back. Customer service needs to improve greatly.

Omg the brunch here is so good. The mascarpone stuffed french toast with caramel sauce? I mean, need I say more?

Food is a hit or a miss, don t get the Cajun garlic wings they were soaked in the sauce, and way too salty. Kitchen guys are pretty rude but the servers are nice.

Charming little place with several pasta dishes.

Wonderful salads are all tempting. Warm spinach is my favorite. Their Caesar is one of the best ever. Ive had 5 pasta dishes over the last year. Each delicious. Its my favorite in the Beaches.

Absolutely love this little restaurant! I love their patio during the summer for brunch, lunch and dinner. The food is absolutely delicious and both food + drinks are extremely well priced! The servers offer great and welcoming service. Although the decor may be a bit dated to somes taste, I find it charming, welcoming, clean and its one of my favorite places to dine!

We ended up here because of some good Google reviews but... it wasnt the best deal for me. The Cafe was very bad I know why but I gave the breakfast combo a chance. Big mistake on my part. It was poorly cooked and didnt taste that good but it looks good in the photo if thats what youre interested in.

We came here for takeout at around 3 pm on a weekend. The waitress that helped us, Lindsey, was very nice and helpful with our order. We got the roasted garlic shrimp club sandwich. The food took less than 15 minutes to be ready and it was really good! Will definitely come here again!

Here is the email I wrote a week ago. Got no response, so Im writing this review. Hi there. We used to eat at Vivetha for lunches quite a bit pre Covid. Came for dinner tonight, and were really disappointed. I dont want to leave a bad Google review, because I know they matter, so I am contacting you directly. I ordered a vodka martini, dirty, olives. It arrived literally warmer than room temperature where we were sitting. I can honestly say, it was the worst one I have ever had. Typically, the martini is shaken, with ICE, and strained, and served into an ice cold glass. I actually put ice cubes in my drink, from my water, just so I could drink it. The mussels, bacon and gorgonzola, I could have made WAY better myself :( The broth was like water....it should be creamy in this dish. Most of the mussel shells were empty. In the end, there were only 12 mussels. 3 were OK sized, but the remaining 9 were literally mussel embryos, lol. It was also full of random vegetables that really didnt belong in the dish, I guess to make it look like more food. I was incredibly disappointed. My husbands chicken pasta, had lots of chicken, but really wasnt a good dish, either. Just thought I would let you know. Wont be back.

Went in twice during my stay in Toronto. Waitress knew exactly what my order was from the day before. Underrated feeling. Food was rad, portions generous. Would absolutely make this my spot if I lived there.

The only redeeming quality of this place is the food - which is amazing. We came in and from the start, my friend was discriminated, he was told off by the waitress for asking a question, and not just our food but even just water took forever whereas other tables of White patrons were served much faster got much friendlier treatment. I couldnt believe it, since there are POC staff members at this restaurant.

Skip the dine in if youre not white. The most blatantly discriminatory and disrespectful service Ive had anywhere in Toronto. Our server was extremely abrupt and rude to us. But very chatty and warm whenever addressing any table of white people. She also took forever to come by with water, or take our order, and yelled at me at one point for a simple request for ice. Reading the other reviews, it seems to be a longstanding issue thats clearly not being dealt with by ownership in any meaningful way.

I ate at this restaurant 2 years ago and I am still traumatized. It was June 14,2022 I went in to get a chicken salad dish to go. I paid, tipped and took the food on a picnic. I ended up eating the food later in the evening while at a park, and the amount of hair I had to pull out of my mouth and throat from this dish was horrific. I still think about it when I order take out from any restaurant. I can t eat food anymore without fully inspecting it for server or chef hair. It was dark black long hairs. In clumps. I was out with my friends eating mindlessly until I pulled out the third clump of hair from my throat. If you are getting take out from this location, open the box and inspect it for hair.

Mother s Day brunch was just perfect! Food was amazing as usual and arrived in a very timely fashion. The place was packed but service was still excellent and friendly. A neighbourhood favourite, that s for sure! Vegetarian options: I adore their salads and vegetarian pasta options. Dietary restrictions: Many options for vegans and vegetarians, easy to omit or substitute ingredients as well. Parking: If you don t find a spot right out front on Queen, check the residential side streets. It s free. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.

Love it! It is our local go-to. Great food, wonderful friendly service and no waiting! An amazing local Beach establishment!

Saw the reviews and decided to check it out. Was greeted by Mo who gave excellent customer service and created a vibe that made us feel like old friends. The salmon omelet and salad and bread sticks were AMAZING. Definitely will be coming back!

ViVetha Bistro completely impressed me with their brunch service! The food itself was exceptional. The dishes were clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors were incredible. But what really stood out were the portions. They were incredibly generous, without sacrificing any quality. You definitely wont leave hungry! The atmosphere at Vivetha Bistro was also lovely. It had a casual yet inviting vibe, perfect for a relaxing weekend brunch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure our experience was top-notch. Overall, I cant recommend Vivetha Bistro enough for brunch. The delicious food, generous portions, and welcoming atmosphere make it a true gem. Ill definitely be back to try more of their menu!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Really friendly service and great creative food. We can t stop going here both the brunch and dinner menues are great. Increadibly value for the food you get. Example the $13 pizza has real Brie cheese and smoked duck on it! The breakfast menues not the same old boring options. The price is great and it s right by the water so perfect to go on a walk on the beach then grab some food here

First time here. Mo, our server was amazing. The food was the best Ive had in quite some time. I had the Cajun foccachia club. Wow! You cant go wrong here.

Great selection. Food was excellent. I had the Bayou Spaniach Salad and the scallops were not bay scallops but the large ones. Great portions. Reasonably priced. Small restaurant ,not high end decor but a hidden gem because of the food . I would recommend and plan to go back. The Key Lime Pie melted in your mouth. Not to tangy or heavy.

Everything was absolutely amazing. You wont get much more bang for your buck anywhere else, both in terms of food quality and quantity. The plates are big, the servings are generous, and its soooo tasty. Highly recommended.

If you re looking for good quality along with great pricing then this a fantastic place to go to. We payed about $40 including tip for 2 sandwiches with sides. Portion size is enough, not too big or small. Quality of the Cajun chicken club sandwich was spot on. It came with a side salad and fries. Location is just on the edge of the main strip of Queen St E.

ViVetha has some delicious meals. I love their Eggs Benny, Shrimp Florentine, Indian King & Bruschetta are my favs.

A wonderful eggs benedict with green peppers and hash browns. The side salad was made with red lettuce that melded perfectly with the slightly runny poached eggs. The service was excellent, the premises were pristine and this was a filling brunch for under twenty dollars!!

If you want authentic Italian - come here! Tried both their pizzas and pasta dishes - both were excellent - mind you this was a couple years ago and I still think about it.

Quite literally the greatest pasta Ive ever had, and the 3 other people in our party agreed! Highly recommend the escargot linguini and the smoked sausage pasta. The chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu were also fantastic! We look forward to coming back here soon.

Simply stated, the shrimp club sandwich was the best sandwich I have ever had in Toronto.

We love going to Vivithas for brunch. The food and service is excellent. We visited Vivithas on Jan 16/24 for dinner this time now I remember why we do not do dinner here. The apps ordered were fried calamari and bruschetta. The bruschetta was made on a toasted, thin pita bread like a soft taco. The bruschetta was tasteless and the tomatoes were so heavy that the pita druped while picking it up. Its saugy and now you have the tomato juice running down your arm. Bruschetta should be on breads, such as ciabatta or a French baguette. We ordered two seafood delight entrees (oil and lemon choice) and both were not steaming hot as the third dish, Angry Chicken. The seafood delights were tasteless as well. Most likely the only reason the Angry Chicken tasted good is because of the pepper spice. We spent $130 on two apps, 3 entrees and one kids meal, plus two sodas, however it was not worth it. I offered the nice waitress the feedback and asked if she could give the feedback regarding the bruschetta to the owner or the chef and she advised she cant because she hasnt been there long enough to say things to the manager and that its best if we tell our favourite waitresses, Maureen and Janice and maybe they can put in a word. Well, thats not what we expected to hear and were not sure when we will be back for brunch during Maureen and Janices shifts. Also, we wont be returning to Vivithas for dinner again. Vivithas has been around for a very long time, I have been going there for over a decade. The interior needs remodeling. The atmosphere is very dark.

A lovely local spot with great food.

Food was good, however service could have been better. We went in with our toddler and was immediately greeted at our table with a negative comment towards our child before even ordering. I understand everyone can have a bad day but lets try to remember this is the service industry and to be kind to everyone, even children.

This restaurant was the best Venue for our co workers retirement party. The menu had so many choices and everyone loved their food. I had the Vegetarian Pasta and Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert and it was all so Good. I have no complaints about this restaurant and cant wait to go back. The Waitresss had everything in order and were super nice. Our group was really loud at times and broke some balloons and they didnt ask us to tone it down, just let us enjoy the occasion. Vegetarian options: The Pasta Penne with vegetables was cooked to perfection.

Wide selection of really delicious dishes - so much so that even the pickiest eater will have something to enjoy. Friendly wait staff and cute / colorful atmosphere with relaxing music playing and service that is often. Its even very affordable. What more could you ask for in a restaurant? Also you can park very easily next to the water treatment plant without getting a ticket during your meal.

This place EXCEEDED my expectations, honestly just - wow. We came here for brunch on a Sunday and it was no more than a 5 minute wait! They have seats upstairs which fit a good amount of people. BUT THE FOOD!!! It was SO flavourful!! My French toast was so soft and paired PERFECTLY with the meat - my partner LOVED his lobster egg Benedict. Our server Janice was SO SWEET - the food came out in less than 10 minutes, everything was just a perfect dining experience. I m definitely coming back for their lunch/dinner menu! Experience it if you re curious - but this is a MUST TRY!

Ive been going here for 10 years, and its just as good today as it was the first day I was introduced to it. They have my favourite Eggs Benedict. Not just in this city, but anywhere.

Poor choice of takeout packaging. Hot sandwich packed in a plastic container with now wet soggy fries and basically cooked greens from the heat and condensation. Sandwich bread is wet and thin, couldn t lift it, it was like a wet sponge. Had to eat as a meal on a plate instead of a sandwich. Thai Chicken club sandwich - not sure where the Thai flavor is? Chicken isn t very seasoned, not much taste to be honest. Not sure what I m eating anyways! I guess eat in and don t do takeout.

After 10+ years of this being our favourite lunch spot, we had a party for 20 in the upstairs room. As always, the food was delicious - Rack of Lamb, Angus Steak. Arctic Char. Salmon and vegetarian options. Every guest raved about the food, the facility and the excellent service. I highly recommend.

I have been coming here for years. Great food, great wait staff. Several weeks ago we came in for an early dinner. The tables were all clothed and looked different. We had a new waitress so I wondered if the place had been sold. So I asked and she replied dont i wish. I found her verging on rude, but with a smug smile. I asked for the house red but there was none. She recommended another red so I took it. It was very sweet and not like your cab. She never checked back so I called her over and told her politely I was disappointed in the wine. She smiled broadly and then asked does this mean you wouldnt come back??? She never offered a taste of the wine nor a replacement. Just to let you know she is not a good employee. Carrol trefler

My partner and I did the $45 dine-in experience. This comes with an appetizer + entree + glass of wine. The food quality was underwhelming. Not what one may expect from a typical Italian restaurant. Likely will not be back for dinner. Would be curious to try breakfast/brunch tho. Excellent service.

Ordered thru skip. Bread sticks like their version of butter milk biscuits so damn yummy . Dat spaghetti dry as all hell the noodles themselves had flavor. Dat indian king penne pasta whaaaaaaaat sooo damn flavorful . Indian king is a fusion of Thai coconut curry and pasta.

Nice patio, and quick service. however, very upset with the overall experience. there was half a clove of uncooked garlic in my omelette and had a very rude/blunt server that ended up sitting another customer at our table right after we paid. the table wasnt yet cleared and we still had drinks. she did not ask if that was okay / we were ready to leave.

Typical breakfast/lunch place, good food and great service, very accommodating. Lack of parking (only street parking) takes some away, but overall, this is a nice place very close to the lake.

Loved the lobster and clams pasta, not a big fan of the veal. I would come bag for the pasta dishes, and the location very close to the beach front is great. We brought a small dog and had to sit at the end of patio, and the table had an umbrella in the middle, which made sharing and talking awkward.

This is our go to brunch restaurant in the Beaches. Staff are great, they remember your names, food arrives quick and is consistently delicious!

My wife suggested this well hidden gem in the outskirts of the beaches neighborhood, and what a great choice. Seafood prepared to perfection, the different versions of seafood pasta make it almost impossible to choose. We shared mussels and calamari appetizers, and they were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

We came here after going to the beach as it was nearby, and the food was amazing. We ordered the beef penne, angry pesto chicken, tomato chicken fettuccine, carbonara and the daily soup. All the pasta were very flavourful and tasted authentic. The bread was complimentary and fresh, and was served with an olive oil balsamic. They were more than happy to accommodate for our dog, and the server was very welcoming and kind. This was a great spot to visit and the portions were also very filling. There were so many different options for pasta on the menu, I would like to come back and try something different.

Been a couple of times now. They know how to do breakfast right. Lots of combos with french toast and eggs, sometimes you want a bit of both. Lots of fruit. And fantastic eggs benny. Like a better version of Cora that is more neighbourhood-y and less chain-y.

Their takeout buyers and pizza are if great value and really good. Compare it to fast food and prices! Vivetha has nailed it

We don t live nearby, drove here for a city walk, and randomly dined in this restaurant for brunch. The food was awesome! Great taste, great portion ( I believed you have seen some brunch places have small portion these days but still expensive..), services were above and beyond! Very details-oriented, and feeling welcomed and taken good care of! Love the relaxing atmosphere. Will come again, really made our day!

The food is good. The service is very friendly and warm. But the plating and the use of balsamic and some of the recipes are a throwback to the 90s. As is some of the diner ware. Its like stepping into a time machine. The flavor of the food is good. Its just wild to see balsamic used so much. Im not complaining. Again the food and service was good. It was just a time warp in there for dinner. I would eat there again. Just maybe use less balsamic lol.

Check the nearby lake sunset from the water treatment station and stay for the pizza. It makes for a nice combo.

Cute little place serving nice brunch. We had the fettuccini chicken pasta, eggs beni and the French toast was amazing. Vegetarian options: Decent selection of veggie options. A couple of sandwiches and some pasta

They were very accommodating to our large group, putting us upstairs at a long table. The brunch food was delicious, with great options!

Best pizza EVER

November 13, 2023 My friend and I dined in for lunch today. He had spoken highly of this restaurant many times, so I was happy to check it out. I had the Bayou spinach salad with Cajun shrimp and scallops - amazing! My friend had a Cajun chicken club on focacia, which looked equally amazing! Definitely glad we chose this place for lunch today!

You can find a little bit of everything here. The focaccia club cajun chicken and angry chicken are great picks. The sandwich came with fries, salad, and fruit which was a nice touch!

A very comfortable dining experience with some unusual culinary experiences to be savoured. Agree with the description fusion of Italian/French in a pleasant unpredictable way with an emphasis on taste. Have not been disappointed after six visits and appreciate the reasonable prices of their luncheons. Recommend!

We were sad that the Stouffville location closed, but we have no terrible making our way to the Queen Street location for the quality food and friendliness that they offer. Lindsay and Janice keep it hoppin and ensure our visits are always A#1.

Read great reviews about the place and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed by the food but the service was pretty slow. I was happy to overlook the absymally slow service but what ticked me off was the appalling attitude from the much older female server with a blunt cut. Im unsure as to whether she understands the meaning of hospitality or customer service because for some strange reason, she was rather abrrupt and plain rude in her approach and mannerisms. I asked for my water to be refilled 3 times before she obliged. Even from behind the counter she kept giving dark looks when I was merely trying to get someones attention to pay my bill and leave after feeling absolutely unwelcome. As a paying customer, it was an unsettling experience for sure as even to make a payment, I had to ask her 3 times before she presented me with the machine. I did mention about this to another server who was present and asked him to let the manager know about this. Just in case it wasnt brought to someones attention, I wanted to write a review and make the management aware of this.

Amazing food! I had the mascarpone-stuffed French toast. Wow a tiny hole in the wall type restaurant but what great food. Eggs Benedict amazing too. Bathrooms in basement are renovated and very clean. Hope to return soon

All around great breakfast and dinner menus, but for me the staff really make this place worth checking out. You can tell a lot of heart goes into their cooking and service. Breakfast portions are usually great but dinner entrees are a little pricey for the portion. I highly recommend jumping on their dinner deals for 2 whenever theyre available because it is great bang for your buck.

Absolutely love this place. Just as good as the other location. Food is a cut above. Atmosphere is awesome. Prices are reasonable. The wait staff are always friendly and quick. Its one of the top restaurant in the city, and Ive tried quite alot of them.

This spot used to be great. In 2017 tried their vegetable penne pasta and it was great, over the years the quality of food had gone down. I also do fine it better to eat the dishes in person as for some reason the same flavours doesnt translate well for take out/delivery. My last time eating the food a couple weeks ago via ubereats the pasta wasnt great, but I still hold on to that it would be as good as the day I had first tried it a few years ago. Maybe Ill stick to dine in only as it is a little better flavour.

Ordered from Uber eats tonight for the 3rd time and have also dined in there 3 times . According to the driver they gave him the wrong order . He knocked on the door and told me so and then said it would be fixed . He disappeared and then I got a cancellation notification from Uber eats . No effort to correct or apology . This is how you lose customers.
