This has been on my “to go” list forever and it didn’t not disappoint! The Maple Hojicha latte was delicious, sweet but not too sweet, and the sandwiches were unreal. The service was also excellent, so kind and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Such an amazing hidden gem! The flavors of all of the sandwiches are incredible, and it’s so nice to grab a park bench and enjoy them al fresco. I wish they were 4x sizes bigger because I love them so much.

This place is easily the #1 spot for best sandwiches probably in North America. The craft put into these sandwiches are something I’ve never experienced before. If you’re reading this review, just go and get any sandwich there, you’ll be thinking about the sandwich in the dreams.

This is such a cute hidden gem in Toronto, and visiting this sandwich shop was a very nice and quaint experience, the park just gives us such a nice vibe. The place is self is very small with the very minimal seating so just be aware, and the one thing that threw me off mostly about this place was the pricing. It is really outrageous for the small portion sizes you are getting. Like I can understand that the ingredients being used are high-quality but you are not running a full huge restaurant. There can be an argument made to say that oh we are giving you such a good quality sandwich but for that $13 price point, not including any drinks, or anything on the side just a sandwich with a few pieces of meat and the pickle is kind of crazy to me. The service overall was quick and accommodating and I do give kudos to anybody who has an idea to make a sandwich shop like that at a park. I will say the overall experience of just sitting down in the park on a hot sunny day and eating that nice great tasting sandwich is nice but again overall it’s just too expensive.

What a hidden gem!! I happened to find this incredible little shop by accident while dog walking. The food is OUTSTANDING. Can't wait to go back.. for those who say there is not enough seating bring a blanket or sit on a bench in the park next to it! Cheers!

located in a nice and quiet park in a residential neighbourhood. we tried the mackerel sandwich, it was delivered quickly in less than 10 minutes. taste was fantastic however $13 for the portion size its an insane markup. this is more of a snack than an actual sandwich, so as long as you’re prepared for that, great little spot. One side note: I wish the cheese was actually cheddar as opposed to the singles cheese, for a more robust flavour. the matcha latte was a great deal, nice medium size cup for the cost, great balanced flavour.

Cute takeout spot in McCormick park. It’s right in the middle of the park against the south walls of the arena. Tried the Ebi sando and the spicy chicken sando. Both were great. If you have a bigger appetite grab a side as well or have the sando as a mid-afternoon snack since they are on the smaller side. Check the weather before going if you want to enjoy the food at the park. There isn’t much shelter from rain or heat.

I really wanted to love this place, I had it marked for months. Finally popped over and when I opened my box I was left so disappointed. A tiny little sandwich, that took me 6 bites to finish (I even have a small mouth) and a paltry piece of pickle. I went home and made myself some food because it wasn t filling in the slightest. For $13, it s really quite ridiculous. It was tasty, but at that price point I should be getting food that fills me up.

Very fun rainy day snack! Cozy little nook of a shop, fed us great as we ordered three different sando s here. I d recommend their pork sando along with most of their coffee and drinks too. Wish there were more seating options and a cover other than the main bar as it was quite difficult to eat here. But I understand its more of a takeout place since it is just a tiny container shed, but hopefully in the future they can set up more chairs and such.

Really good sandwiches, fresh, crispy and flavourful. Love the pork tenderloin one, pork is juicy. Aji fry one reminds me of a gourmet filet o fish. Cod one is great as well. My favourite one is the ebi sando! This place is located in the McCormick Park in a off white shipping container. You can sit at the park and enjoy your food.

We were craving Japanese sando and we decided to trek to this place. It took a while cause the roads were one way and we had no idea it was in the middle of the park. Figuratively speaking its a hole in a wall but we were very pleasantly surprised. The owner is very courteous. I loved the atmosphere and will come back during the evening to experience it at night. The batter for the karage and ebi was spot on super crunchy and not oily. Neatly packed. Compared to many popular in the GTA sandwiches, this place would give it a good a run for its money for sure. One of my favorite places now. And I would rather support s small business like this.

If you go there, you must try the prawn-sando. The prawns are nicely fried and are still juicy when you are eating them. We also took the spicy karaage-sando, however it wasn t spicy enough for our taste. It would be interesting if there is a level of spiciness to choose.

Tried the Ebi & Katsu sandwich- while tasty, they were tiny snack sized portions ! I needed 2 sandos for myself & I m petite! At $13, I was expecting a more substantial portion. Nevertheless, a decent option for a snack at the park.

Revised review: Great spot. Were blessed to have this in a neighbourhood park. New owner has expanded the menu but sandos seem small vs before, possible shrinkflation. Still delicious but now not up to Daiju standard. Mustard mayo now costs extra and not as good as before. Very friendly proprietors though.

The sando and egg sauce is not bad, nothing special either. But it is too pricey given the very small portion! comparing to another Japanese sandwich store Katsupan, here is 20% more expensive but less than half in size.

*Takeout* Tonkatsu (pork cutlet) sando - Juicy pork! I like the pickles that cut through the heaviness from the mayo-based sauce. More pickles would be nice. 4/5. Ebi (shrimp) sando - A bit lacking in flavour. 3/5. Aji (mackerel) sando - Flavorless. 2/5. All 3 sandos were a tad too oily for me. Note: Imanishi Sando Bar is in the park!

Are the sandwiches delicious? Yes. But they are small. For $17, I was anticipating something a bit more substantial. Its as big as my hand and Im a petite person. I wish I saw the comment lower down that these are snack size because they definitely are. I was mislead by the advertising and was thoroughly disappointed when my order arrived. As delicious as it is, I will not be purchasing them again.
