Everything sweet and so much different than uber eats photo.
Amazing place! I didn’t catch the name of our waitress but she was a female waitress working on 11/02 and she was incredible!! She gave us amazing food recommendations and was welcoming and friendly the entire time. She made our night perfect! Great place, great food, huge portions and amazing service!
Ehwa Korean Restaurant offers a decent dining experience with a mix of pros and cons. The food is good but not outstanding, with some dishes standing out more than others. The flavors are authentic, but the overall execution could be better. Ambience is cozy but lacks a vibrant atmosphere, feeling a bit too quiet or understated for a Korean dining experience. Service is average, with staff being polite but not particularly attentive or engaging. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual meal, but there's room for improvement in all areas.
Such a disappointment. Chic and cool interior but abysmal food. The cheese corn had to be a joke. So much mayo. Beef Korean pancake was literally an overcooked omelette with flaps of beef thrown in. There are much better restaurants that I've been to I probably wouldn't go to again, let alone coming back to this restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
This funky little gastro pub surely knows how to make an impression. It is not much to look at really. It is located in a long narrow building with crooked stairs and sticky floors, the weirdest layout. It was especially weird because of couple of big parties, so I cannot make out what the inside seating was like, but I think there are more seating on the back space then the main dining room. I wonder what happens during those long winter months. The Korean offerings here are basically restaurant/street food. We tried some fried chicken, sweet and sour, deep fried to perfection with the right amount of breading and crisp, the sauce was decadent, mouth watering, along with a few deep fried rice cakes. The pork belly duruchigi had a good kick to it, basically just pork belly, kimchi, onions and green onion. The kicker is always the sauce, which is based off Soy Sauce, Gochugaru, Gochujang, Sugar, Maesil, Mirim and the standard Garlic and Ginger. It is nothing complicates but very tasty. The Spicy Chicken with Rice Cakes has basically the same sauce, then chicken was char grilled, it was awesome. I wish they serve just the chicken. The weirdest thing, they don't serve Korean beers but everything else! Overall, solid 4 ⭐, especially if you want to eat after 10pm and for a big group gathering.
Fantastic experience at Ehwa. The service was quick and attentive. The initial free popcorn and shrimp chips was a great start to a fantastic meal. First I should note that this place has fantastic value for the money. The chicken portions were gigantic, and our sides were adequately sized for the cost. Our mains were absolutely delicious, and quick to hit the table. The sweet and spicy chicken is quite possibly the best bargain in Toronto, and amply sized for two guests. The chef came by and dropped off some complimentary sweet corn and french fries which was a welcome touch. We are already planning our return to this fantastic hidden gem.
I went with my friend for lunch and it was a great experience! The atmosphere was cozy with velvet seats against the walls and historic decor. The service was amazing. We got a bonus side dish which came before the food we ordered. Our dishes came out promptly but it did not compromise the quality. For two people we ordered the cheese pork cutlet and the creamy hamburger steak. If you like both cheese and cream sauce, these are two dishes I'd recommend! Both were delicious in their own way. The cheese pork cutlet was so soft because the pork portion was the base for a generous layer of cheese! The creamy hamburger steak is a patty on a flat bed of rice, which makes for a surprising good combo. Sharing the two dishes was surprisingly a good portion for both of us. If you leave a review for their restaurant I'm told they give you dessert. Will definitely go back to try the other dishes on the menu!
I sometimes get takeout from this place. I really enjoy the boneless chicken. Fresh and crispy. Pretty decent prices too. Tastes fresh and clean, but gives me a little heartburn compared to bbq chicken.
no. What should I do if I give you so many basic snacks? Im going to drink two bottles of soju in one soup and go. The basic snacks are so plentiful. The two of us drank 5 bottles of soju. I ordered a real seafood egg soup. It came with corn, popcorn, and French fries. Wow, this isnt a place for two people. Even if you come with at least three people, its best to just order one and eat the basic snacks. Seriously Korean style. The kitchen may be difficult, but I want to go again.
The part-timer is pretty
Not worth it
their food is oke, the soju is good but the music is so loud
It was first time Ive been there. Foods are nice with drinking soju, but kinda cold when I set near the front door. Pretty good restaurant. Mussel soup was good.
A chill and cozy place for a late night drink and snack with friends!
Great food and amazing service. Will be coming back. Thanks Gyumin!
Awesome services! Especially, the server Geunhyung!! He is so kind and lovely!
Good place for parties !
Fun spot for students and soju drinkers
Me and my friend visited on Friday. The manager was really nice to us and the food was yummy. I love their free snacks!
Fun place to hang out and grab some Korean food and drinks. I get the fried chicken and tteokbokki each time.
loved their boneless chicken and mussel soup! would definitely come back again
GO EJIN!
AMAZING PLACE! GREAT FOOD! Absolutely love this spot!
one of the servers was very rude, tip included and nobody said that. Be careful of what they charge you, we have additional dumpling in our check that nobody ordered.
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Banchan comes with soy sauce vinegar firm tofu thats a little too salty, served cold. Butter and salted popcorn was good, and a cold macaroni salad with a nice chew and slight creaminess. Soy Sauce Boneless Fried Chicken - boneless dark meat, quite juicy and crispy exterior, although not the lightest mouthfeel. They were conservative on the sauce, which was sweet and umami. Comes with a small bowl of pickled daikon.
The Good: - Mango Mukguli - Drinks we ordered were served in cold glasses - Lots of complimentary snacks provided (popcorn, shrimp chips, corn, fries) The Bad: - We told our server about our friend s sesame seed allergies and they still brought out multiple dishes with sesame seeds on them. We reminded them another time and they only corrected the mistake for one dish. - The chicken we ordered was all batter and barely meat
If you wanna hear the same 5 songs while you eat and vibe, go to this spot. Typical Korean spot nothing crazy
This is the most terrible place I have ever been
The food is so good!! Taylor was so nice to us today. Definitely will visit again
The atmosphere was great and the part-time worker took good care of me!
I bought seasoned chicken, and the taste was ok, but the quantity was very large.
Smelled absolutely rancid, like a porta potty, smell of urine throughout the room. Service was non existent, all the servers were sitting at a table talking and came to greet us very late. Chicken was hard and tteokbokki was dry. Don t understand why they don t give proper ban chan with these prices and just chips that weren t fried properly and were rock hard.
Good atmosphere, lovely stuff and delicious food :) Dont miss it Food
Such a vibrant place at night and the food is amazing! We got so much food yubu oden tang (not spicy), Chungyang cream pasta (mildly spicy but comes with a spicy paste on the side), crispy boneless soy sauce chicken w/ injeolmi rice cakes (sweet) and spicy chicken with cheese and rice (spicy). The portions are big so we had to take most of it home but, it is a delightful place to chat and take photos! The oden tang is definitely a favourite and we ll definitely be coming back again!
Not sure about afternoon but night time was extremely slow wasn t even busy. Waited almost 30 for one beer. Food was good but not really worth the wait.
5/5 hangout spot. -The staff will bring you free snacks throughout the night. -The 2nd floor has good modern music and it s a great vibe for a group of friends. -The eats are Korean snack/finger food and always high quality. -Good drinks
Dined at this location a few times throughout the year. Good patio space in the summer. Their menu can be seen on their IG page. Theres a good variety for food options, and they serve snacks- popcorn and puffed rice crackers - as you are seated and deciding your order. Cannot go wrong with any of the fried chicken options because the portion sizes are big and are good for sharing, if you want to. Only a few minutes south of Bloor St along Yonge St, but parking is limited to side street paid parking. Washrooms are only accessible via stairs below ground level, and payment is done at the bar. Please keep in mind that the dining areas are only accessible by stairs as you enter the restaurant - for anyone who has mobility issues.
Great korean cuisine and service too , do pay a visit here
A great expierence ! Food was really food, staff was friendly, I would recommend and come here again
Very nice late eats spot. Had the bulgogi n it was plenty. Complimentary popcorn and shrimp chips as soon as ur seated. Frosted beer glasses n cold Sapporo. Friendly service too. Food : 4/5
Service at this place is abysmal. Was told my order was nearly ready and then the server disappears for 25 minutes and within that time so I no other staff members eventually I left. The staff in this place could do with a lot of service training if an order is going to take a long time, at least inform people dont tell them its almost ready and then hide
Great food and portion for the price. Would recommend for hangout with friends! Cheesling chicken was goooood
Great food and atmosphere. 4 of us came here to feast and ate some good food
My go to place for Korean snacks and drinks. Their combos make it so easy to choose what to get and it comes with additional sides like cheese corn and fries. The portions of the food is huge and I never end up finishing it with my group. My go to is their donkatsu and the best kimchi pancake I ve had (so crispy and hearty). They have soju cocktails that are so good that you can order with the combo too. The vibes are also really nice with good music. Perfect for a night out.
Good value, large portions.
Amazing place. Great service and large portions! Highly recommend!!
Food tasteless, everything tastes like Multan Gabissam Do not recommend.
I visited this place twice and the new menu, Zikova, was the best. Also, the outside is more atmospheric than the inside of the store. But the price of soju was too high, so few people drank it, and it cost 90 dollars per person.
Impressive customer care service
Staff were nice and friendly.
Well, I went to experience authentic traditional Korean food. Whatever they served was good but more like fast food korean style. Loud music playing. If you like that, go for it. Very tight spot. But not for family, esp with kids. Portion was huge, though. It was very popular among young people. I could see that.
the service is speedy and the freebie are soo worth!! The vibes from upstairs and downstairs so different so check out both!
Ordered takeout. asked for more fishcake in spicy rice cake, which usually have fish cake in them, got replied that it does not come with fishcake while CLEARLY there is fishcake in it! Either they used frozen food from a market, or the takeout packer just couldn t care. You can even see the fish cake in this picture.
Very welcoming and warm atmosphere. Waiter was nice. Gave us free dishes on the house food was delicious
I really enjoyed the food, the vibe and the service here. Love the new 4 flavour boneless fried chicken!!!
If you are looking for traditional Korean food, this is not your spot. This place serves more of a Korean style pub grub. I was with a large party. Some people were vegetarian, some vegan. The offerings for those needs were slim to none. I love traditional Korean food and have some food needs of my own. There was nothing I could enjoy without having at least one allergen in the food. Others in our group really enjoyed the potato and cheese pancake and the teriyaki rice cake noodles. The banchan were also not typical. There was no kimchi! Seriously? No kimchi at a Korean eatery? And no bibimbop? Instead, they offer PopCorners chips...I just dont get it. The music was also extremely loud and we asked multiple time to lower it so we could hear each other. That never happened. Best I can say is for a true North American authentic Korean experience, come to NYC. We have AMAZING authentic Korean food that your Halmoni would approve of.
Good food and good service.
Fantastic service, great food, fresh, hot, and reasonably priced. Hyobin and seoungmin were wonderful servers, very attentive and kind- TOP TIER
A very good place for groups. Food and drinks were tasty. They got what I think is a great in-house soju, and the food is good but youre gonna get dinner sized portions when you do so be weary. Service is alright but just a little infrequent, especially during late nights. Its a good time.
Nice fried chicken of special flavors you couldn t try in other places
Frequent mistakes and staffs were not trained enough. needed to talk for order more than 2times and added some beer that didnt order. I paid more unnecessary. why did i pay tips for this service?
I have been to this place more than any other restaurant in Toronto- Harry is an amazing server, food and drinks are great. We always have the best time. Long live Ehwa
Came here with my friends to catch up through the week and their service and food is always immaculate! We got seats right away and got our appetizers and drinks really quickly. We had a lot of different things to try but their chicken was easily the best!
the services are awful, the foods are bad
Great place for Korean alcohol with friends
Parking: 003 GreenP. Food
Delicious food, great service and lots of hall staff so I didnt have to wait long to order something. The music is a little loud, but it wasnt a big problem.
Great combo options. Late night food. Staff were really nice. Great outdoor patio. Youthful and boisterous.
One of my favourite restaurants! I have brought my friends and co-workers; friendly staff and good portions :)
Loved the service here but the food was painfully average. I came with a Korean friend and she said the taste wasnt authentic despite all the servers being Korean themselves. My favourite dish was the seafood pancake and least favourite was the spicy bbq chicken, which was way too spicy. The drinks were also very overpriced (more than double than lcbo down the street) so we didnt get any. Note that restaurant is very dark! Not sure what kind of vibes theyre going for considering they open from lunch.
Delicious food and wonderful staff.
I dined here last night, restaurant exuded a carefree and laid-back atmosphere, much like a teenagers home. However, while the vibe was enjoyable, the food fell short of expectations, the oil they used to deep fry doesn t taste good, popeyes chicken wings on their worst day are much better, if you wanna compare, health aspect is a question mark, resulting in an average experience overall. In addition, the restroom facilities lacked basic amenities like paper towels, and there was no hot water. These inconveniences further detracted from the experience. Overall, the restaurants vibrant vibe was its highlight, but the food and lack of restroom amenities could use improvement. While its worth a visit for the atmosphere, those seeking exceptional cuisine might want to explore other options. With a rating of 6 out of 10, it was an average experience.
the staffs were all friendly and their dishes comes with popcorn and butter corn we ordered their: - crispy boneless soy sauce chicken - samgyeopsal hanpan - bulgogi jeon - makguli the portion size were hugeee! somehow 3 people struggled a bit to finish it when we usually are capable. our favourites were probably the jeon(pancake) and fried chicken as they were seasoned nicely. the samgyeopsal hanpan could have had a bit more flavour to it. @jennjereats on ig for more review
Worth Trying. A classic korean outpost pumping khiphop and kpop, expensive drinks but great fried chicken. Fried Chicken - large portion, good for 3-4 people, crispy and crunchy with a decent kick of heat to it. Tteobokki - pretty spicy, good portion for sharing between 3-4, not too much meat. Comes with pretty nice Fries and popcorn for drinks. Drinks are expensive here. Takes AMEX.
Authentic Korean food classics and major good vibes for drinking and catching up with friends
I am writing to address a distressing incident that occurred at your restaurant on the evening of Sunday, the 11th. I am a customer who experienced racism from one of your servers. My friends and I had organized a birthday party at your establishment, with a total of 16 individuals present. During the event, we were engaged in singing, lively conversations, and occasionally speaking loudly. One of your staff members approached us and mentioned that we were obstructing the corridor. Initially, we did not pay much attention to this comment. However, as time passed, the staff members behavior escalated. He began speaking to us loudly and, in an offensive manner, showed us the middle finger. Eventually, he even went as far as telling us to go back to the Philippines, making derogatory comments about our food preferences Pad thai and using vulgar language. This incident left us deeply disturbed and offended. If you wish to gather further evidence regarding the incident, I believe the CCTV footage from your restaurants second floor would provide a clear account of the entire event. I sincerely hope you take this matter seriously and investigate the behavior of your staff member involved. Racism has no place in any establishment, and it is crucial that appropriate action be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring. I trust that you will address this issue promptly and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all your customers.
Great food and portions, good service too. Sat inside and outside, and its quite a nice atmosphere. The servers are super friendly too. Must try the boneless chicken with their soy sauce on the side, and the takoyaki and teokbokki with pork belly is great too. Food
Was SO excited to try this place. However after being seated no one acknowledged our existence after 40+ minutes even though they walked by our table constantly. Had no choice but to go somewhere else as clearly we werent welcome. :(
This place is super cool. One of the best places Ive ever been for Korean food. Highly recommend the crispy soy fried chicken, sweet and spicy fried chicken, corn, tofu kimchi and rice cakes. So good to share over drinks! Great vibe.
Open till 2am, great place to hang out with friends. Find street parking, can be a bit tricky. Fries on the house. Food is great with soju and beer!
The interior looks amazing and the food is great as well! The serving sizes are well worth the price you re paying and the taste is amazing. Would definitely visit again!
Very cute place, and food was pretty great :)
The name of the store is restaurant but it is more of a bar setting. The food is relatively expensive (need to order rice separately) and taste is not special. The Server is very friendly and always comes by to ask what you need.
food was great and the atmosphere was amazing !
Tasty food and good price, good place to take time with friends
Portions are great, good spot for a late night bite
Ordered the omurice and pork cutlet. The portions were generous, the cutlet was nice and crispy, and the sauce was rich yet had enough acidity to not make me feel weighted. Had the 80s vibe that made me nostalgic.
excellent
Great value and friendly staff
Perfect.
Awesome authentic Korean food! Got a delivery for army stew soup and G quva chicken. Both were very very delicious!! Although the chicken was super spicy, it didn t get me a stomach next day which I usually get for other spicy foods. This made me trust that they use fresh ingredients. Will definitely order again for late night food
Great food, love the lounge
Waited 1.5 hours for food and we told them we wanted to cancel the dishes that they hadnt served. They informed us the food was already being cooked but they lied because another hour later, we were still waiting.
Its so delicious and the atmosphere is great.
Taos Google Restaurant Reviews Ive visited multiple times per year for over 6 years and I can say this is my most recommended Korean bar hangout restaurant. It has a newly renovated upstairs as well as a patio during the summer months, great food for a great price. They give a bunch of side snacks like fries, butter corn to die for, popcorn, and great drinks (highly recommend the makguli and the soju cocktails, I always get my friends exclaiming how good they are). Hundred percent recommend if youre looking for a chill place to eat and drink and for the nice vibes. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 FINAL SCORE 5/5
Always a great time for drinks and snacks! I came here on a Friday night and it was a full house as expected. Luckily I booked a table in advance and was able to get seated immediately. My favorite thing about this bar is the free appetizers that they give, which includes fries, popcorn and butter corn (changes from time to time). Great spot in the summer as they have a nice patio in the back. Sometimes Servers may be hard to flag down if youre upstairs. Would recommend as a great place to hang out for drinks and would always come back.
Now place to drink and chill with friends!
Good atmosphere. Service was beyond horrible. Only 2 groups (1 qaa us) upstairs and server forgot everything.... never came.... took over 15 mins for any drinks.... and we had to go down to get help every time.. Food was small portions for ridiculously high prices... and avg taste at best. Will never go back due to service but price extremely high and deterent, too.
Great casual Korean bar with food and drinks such as Soju. They also have a large patio out in the back when the weather is nice. They do take walk ins but would recommend calling for reservations in advance. Food : 5/5
I didn t even wanna give a single star since we were waiting for a table FIRST and they gave an open table to the next group without asking any. It s inexpensive and used to be my fav place, but SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.
Food is alright but alcohol menus are extremely over-priced. Also depending on where you sit, the music can be quite loud. Nice selection of hip-hop playlist though.
The servers are so nice!!
so nice servers they are super decent I can promise for revisiting here after Food
I got there today but it was very great I was trying they are the best in my new neighborhood here in Toronto Ill be back soon I feel great about it great people Ill see you soon....I love it.
Went there being at 5/10 on the tipsy scale. The drinks were great. The food, I dont remember that well. But my tipsy tastebuds loved it. Written post night. Food : 5/5
Saw 2 small cockroaches crawling on our table and left immediately before even ordering anything
SEAN is a wonderful server and we always have a great time when we go to ehwa! The food is outrageous in the best way possible thank you Sean!
My favorite place to hang out in large or smaller groups. Sean is the best server and always attentive and fun! See you soon!
ghost
I like this place, only problem is the low ceiling washroom. Plus is you feel taller
I like the service they provide every time I come. The service sometimes gives you the menu you want. I want to recommend this restraunt to lots of people.
On the saltier side. But flavourful (guess that contributed to the dishes being more greasy and salty)
100% HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I was satisfied with all the food, especially the chicken gangjeong, which is the best in Toronto.
They never took our order. After 40 minutes we went to the bar to order. Then at the end they refused to split our bill. Food was ok but service was a joke. Will never go back.
Food is average. Drinks are good though! I like the atmosphere. BUT I don t appreciate their washrooms
Kanpung chicken is good
The food is delicious, but dont expect service. Worst service a few days ago
One of my favourite places to grab food and drinks with friends in Toronto. Great combo and drink deals with refillable sides :)
It lit.
The food is great, but the seating area given to us was so cramped up. Wont recommend anyone to sit in the patio. The ground floor and first floor have great seating arrangements.
Not authentic at all, but at least portions are big...
Best pocha in Toronto! Lots of seating choices and food/drinks are bomb! I love their combo deals, very worth.
Amazing portions. Great taste. Service was the best Ive ever seen. 10/10
Went here after seeing Mitski in concert since it was open late and Korean food always hits. If you want to drink with your friends, I recommend getting the combos. Most soju flavours were out of stock but they did have grapefruit available at the time! The tangsuyuk and tteokbokki were especially good! Great spot to go for a late night dinner or snack with friends for sure.
Lively spot to hang with friends, love the vibe. The upstairs floor is more loud and chatty! Their food is decent and they have all the Korean classics, perfect to munch on while drinking. Definitely get their yogurt flavoured soju - it was lifechanging.
Food was meh, but the ambience is nice.
Yummy food and great ambiance!!!
warm drinks..mediocre food
I had ordered corn cheese. And they gave me burnt corn and it was burnt quite a lot and the taste so worse . I will not order this food any more, btw the service was good tho
Came for the food but the food here was beyond disappointing. Mussels in the seafood soup were not cleaned at all - felt sand in the mussel meat. Both budae jjigae and spicy seafood soup were a little bland and too watery. Probably a good place for friend meetings or drinking at night but the food here was not worth recommending.
The food here is amazing. Its a great social place to have a drink or two with a few friends
This place is the most authentic Korean experience I have had outside of Korea. The food is not bad but the atmosphere and service is good. I usually get the spicy chicken combo so we have a number of snacks and soju along with our main dish.
Great atmosphere! The service is very quick and you ll be given lots of snacks if you order a dinner combo. Fun place to go to drink with friends.
Great hang out spot with friends, reasonably priced Korean snack foods to share amongst buddies, they also gave us unlimited popcorn and tofu! Super chill, large backyard patio, student vibes!
Dont come here if youre starving, especially if they put you to the second floor? Youll die in hunger lol. We werent even given the corn and it took for the fries to come after over an hour. Bad bad busy service. My first experience here was okay when we came before 7pm. But after 8pm its bad. I give Good tip but service wasnt very good.
Came for drinks and dinner and ordered the spicy BBQ chicken combo which comes with free corn and fries and a bottle of soju. Also got the spicy rice cakes with pork belly. They serve you free sides like popcorn, marinated tofu and macaroni salad as well. The food was pretty good, appropriately spicy and hot. They only had 2 soju flavours when we went and their credit card machine was down but they offered to pay back the ATM fee if you got cash from the rabba across the street. Service is a bit slow but friendly.
The layout was interesting. Basement had bathrooms, main floor has tables, kitchen and bar, and top floor is tables only. Went with a group and we sat upstairs. It was very crowded and HOT. There was a window air conditioner pumping out some pretty cold air but too many people to cover. Most of the staff was very nice, and work very hard. The snacks were appreciated! Bill was around $350, we all jad a good time.
Had the kimchi rice + egg and rice
Friendly staff who work very hard and super nice. Good service, on the slower side if you re on the second floor but that s okay. Like the complimentary sides. Getting the combo deal and share with a friend is the best option imo. Peach soju is my favourite flavour and so happy they have that here! Got the crispy boneless cheese powdered fried chicken which was so worth! They give you so much that we couldn t finish and had to take home, chicken was fresh and tender, and cooked just perfectly and the flavour was on point. Came out so quickly too, fries and corn included in the combo. Overall had a good experience and would recommend.
Great food, service and fellow guests! Wobbly tables on the patio, but a great time nonetheless.
Been going here on and off since before covid. If you enjoy alcohol with alittle food , and comfortable being around loud and happy people, come through
I liked the green onion chicken and the rice cakes. Takoyaki was bad and corn cheese was like 2% cheese and the rest was sweet sauce.
AC broken, feels like hell indoor. their service is super slow, order at 1:25 , got our stuff at 2:15, for a fry chicken and a soup only. terrible experience. literally dying in hunger.
Korean fried chicken, beer and soju? What else do you need?
It wasnt too busy during one Saturday night but floors wee disgusting
We went with a group of 10. We got no sides, they wouldn t come serve us until we went downstairs for help, and they didn t bother to give us plates. Really unsanitary
I ordered soy sauce boneless chicken and it came out freshly fried and was really delicious.
We ordered combo A and got the spicy rice cake with pork belly, along with a bottle of apple soju. The food tasted okay and the free appetizers (popcorn, fries, macaroni salad) were nice. Other reviews mentioned the side dishes come with refills but that wasn t the case during our visit. Unfortunately the service was pretty bad that night. It took a long time for our server to come around, no one checked in during our meal, and our table on the patio wasn t properly cleaned/still sticky from the previous guests.
If you want the best Korean bar in Toronto, this is the real deal. Service is the best If you want the best taste and an atmosphere that you can feel in real Korea, I think this is the best
Omg! I love this place so much! Servers are nice and food was soooo good! Food was so good and it was a lot!! Tteokbokki and karaage were so delicious and the decoration was so pretty. You should visit here !
This place is really good!! The food is also amazing!!! Very good costumer service with lots of free sides! The ambiance on the patio is amazing as well! It s a must to go at this korean pub downtown!
They said they brought there old fries but when I ordered it, it wasnt. I probably will not order from them again.
2/10
Great chicken and other dishes. Nice atmosphere great for groups.
Eating it a second time - tasty!
Great place to drink with some friends. Staff is incredibly nice. Would definitely go again.
The staff are so friendly The atmosphere is good too There are many types of snacks! Im having a good time^^
it s always been a good every time i ve come here. staff are sooo nice and the food is great. best to visit w a group of people :)
Very expensive.. makgeoli was delicious however. The teokboki was mediocre.
RUDE really bad attitude issue, unpleasant service, extremely rude, would never go again ever
This is my go to Korean Bar. I love the food and top notch customer service. 100% recommend this place.
Fun with lots of good food
Simple great korean food. Highly recommended. Large portions. Share a plate and a bottle of yakult soju and youll be glad you did. Seriously great. Will come back with friends.
I had a good experience visiting Ehwa with my friends for dinner. It offers some great Korean food, snacks and drinks, ideal for all sorts of gathering. The biggest highlight for me was the seafood pancake and the spicy pork. The seafood pancake is very crispy and is very filling. The spicy pork is full of flavor and punch; with a generous portion too. The only downsides is that the seating area we are in lack ventilation, which can get stuffy or humid. Another thing is that service could be slow especially during busy times. It might take awhile to grab the attention of the server. Overall, its great and looking forward to visiting again!
Amazing food! Delicious and crispy chicken and amazing beverages!
This was a place our group booked every Sunday. The atmosphere and environment really made it feel like a restaurant bar from Korea and is popular among young adults. Im giving it a 3 star due to fact that the food taste has vastly deteriorated and they were not stocked with beers on the menu mid week. Seriously some of their core menu items tasted like it was made by a beginner chief, almost inedible. So until they get back to what they were, 3 stars is being generous.
Overall, we had a great time. The portions of food were great and was good to share among everyone in our group. The army stew and the pork cutlet were my personal favourites. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. My one complaint was the price of the alcohol, as it was jacked up, but overall our experience was amazing.
Always my go-to spot when people from Toronto to visit. The atmosphere is fantastic and pleasing on the eyes. The banchan creamed corn is an absolutely wonderful appetizer. The food selection on Korean soul food is amazing, every time I order something different and it still perks my tastes buds. Prepare for a young crowd and its get quite busy in the early evening to late. One of my favourite restaurants on the downtown Yonge St corridor.
Food was alright, nothing too memorable but I really liked the ambience (nice bar area, dimmed lights, etc) and choice of K-Pop music being played in the resto. Staff members checked vaccination receipts upon arrival and took our temperatures. You can choose to dine-in or sit at the patio situated behind the restaurant. THE BAD: The back door to the patio was opened the entire time so the restaurant was cold. Another annoying thing was that people were smoking in the patio area (not sure if that s even allowed per by-laws), I could smell the cigarettes from few tables away- because of that, it was not a very pleasant dining experience. We were a party of 4 and I honestly think the portions of the side dishes could be bigger. For the popcorn, we were only given a small bowl. My friend told me back in the days, they gave each person a bowl for themselves. Same for the fries, the portion was small to share as a group. The OK: For combo A, we chose the spicy rice cakes with pork belly and it tasted great. It came with a bottle of soju but when we ordered another bottle of cocktail fruit yakult and the bill really added up - $25.99 per bottle is pretty steep. Also when the cocktail fruit yakult is so delicious, you can t help but order more. Like others have mentioned, their sojus and alcohol in general aren t cheap! Nevertheless, would come here again because Ehwa is one of the few restaurants that opens late and is the go-to place to hang out with friends if you re a night owl.
Great spot and atmosphere for drinks with friends. The only suggestion is to install something on the third floor for people to call for service. It was a little hard to get someone to take our order throughout the night. Will definitely be back.
This is my second time here which will be my last. If you come here mainly for drinks then is a good place but if you want food then this is not good place for it. Everything just taste meh to me and maybe if you get really tipsy, the food may taste good to you.
I do not usually leave reviews, but when I do, its either really good or really bad. This time, I really have to do it because this place is horrible and the worst! So I was here last night (Saturday night) with my friends, never heard or known this place before, but since they wanted to give this place a try, I went here without reading any reviews about this place. I just checked the reviews right now, and VOILA! All the bad reviews about this place is TRUE! Listen when they say this place has the worst customer service, it is the worst! And I can confirm. I understand that weekends might be busy for every restaurants nowadays, but waiting for an hour for food? and missing orders isnt normal. We were calm and okay with it since my friends and I were talking and just enjoying out time together. But after getting the food, not even 15min of eating it, server came and we were told that we have to leave and literally started cleaning our table without even asking. Like wth? They served the food an hour late, then telling us that we gotta leave because there was a reservation? Uhm, hello? so what did you want us to do with the food? Just throw it out? and eat it cold outside? We were told that there would be a reservation at 9:30pm, so they could have atleast serve the food not AN HOUR LATE, and at least gave us some time to finish those expensive food we ordered! We did not even get the corn and fries it came with (we ended up paying for it still,) and got kicked out. What else could be worse? Honestly, if you are planning to enjoy and have fun with your friends, DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER RESTAURANTS AROUND THE AREA. DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY HERE.
The servers are always nice i live on this street so i come friday-Saturday nights when its busy. I buy always bottles not cocktails. The employees are always very busy
Its a really cool bar and atmosphere but the service isnt as good. They are kind but not very attentive, its understandable that they are busy which they are but we had to wait around to be served. Even when we were seated it took a while for someone to take our orders.
