Hi there, thank you for your interest in Her Chef. You may have noticed the misspelled words on our menu. We have meticulously done so to create meaning behind the menu items. So when we're making these dishes, we constantly reminded it the people we love. There are many hidden gems in the menu. Our mission is to provide delicious, balanced meals to you ! -Her Chef-
In Toronto? Her Chef is the spot. It’s a small, cozy fusion restaurant where you can expect great food at a reasonable price. The salmon rice is something special—definitely worth ordering. The space is a bit tight, so you might overhear other tables, but it somehow makes the experience feel more personal. It's a great little gem in the city.
This was my second time eating at this restaurant. The food was good, and the service was fast. However, I had to ask for the bill several times, and it took the waitress more than five minutes to bring it, to the table which was frustrating since I had finished my meal and was in a rush to leave. I’m quite confused, especially because the restaurant wasn’t busy, and the food service was fast.
my favourite korean fusion spot in the city. there are lots of other places nearby but i keep coming here — everybody i’ve brought has had an excellent meal even after the high expectations i set them up with! thank you, her chef <3
This restaurant knocks it out of the park, the food is incredible. This was my second visit and it was exactly as good as the first visit. We got four dishes to share: -the Drug Salad; it really is addictive. They sprinkle on the smallest bit of powdered sugar which brings it over the top. -Bad for You - battered potato chips with chicken salt msg. So crispy and the chicken salt is so good. Would have eaten a second basket if we ordered it. -Korean fried chicken - crispy and well seasoned with the best honey soy sauce. Could have had a bit of heat, but pretty perfect. -Pig bulgogi - the pork was thinly sliced in a delicious marinade and sauce. Not very spicy but absolutely delicious. -One of the dishes came with a small cup of pickled radish and I wish we ordered that off the menu as it was so good. The prices are great and you get a very generous serving. The dishes are all very shareable! Service is friendly. They have a good drink menu - their in-house peach tea is delicious , but I went with beer this time. Can't wait to go back!
If you are pondering trying this place - JUST DO IT! What an incredible little spot we’ve been meaning to try for so long. They have Summerlicious until July 21st if you want a full tasting, but we came in for a quick bite and we will DEFINITELY be back for more. Got the Tomato Kimchi as I’ve never really seen that before and didn’t know what to expect and WOW. I am a tomato girlie so if you’re not, you probably won’t like it. It tasted like a delicate flavour of a kimchi base, but more soy and sweet. The flavours melded perfectly, just try it. The green onions, red onions and sesame a nice touch. For $4 it’s a great great option for a taster. Got the Chicken Karaage and it was super juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It comes with a wasabi sauce which personally I’m not a fan of wasabi so did not try, but the chicken on its own was a very generous portion for $9 and very well excuted. Also got the peach cold drink, a nice tasty refreshing sip made from actual tea (teabag inside). We are so excited to go back and try the rest of the menu. The portions coming around us were very generous and looked very appetizing!
I came here to take advantage of the Summerlicious menu which is $25. They allow you to pick from three different appetizers, three main courses and three dessert options to round out your meal. For the price we paid it was definitely worth it. I went with the Chicken Karaage, the Salmon Lover Bowl and the Triple Bong Bong Ice Cream. The karaage was really tender and juicy, but I wish there was slightly more seasoning. Still tasty, but could be better. The Salmon Lover Bowl had a good amount of sesame oil which I love in sashimi bowls. The salmon was fresh and a little on the lean side. The flavors of all the ingredients complemented each other extremely well and I really enjoyed it. I ended with the Triple Bong Bong Ice Cream because how could you not order something with that name? It was a great experience and this place definitely deserves its high rating.
Her Chef is truly incredible! This has been my go to restaurant that I've taken all my friends and family to, eating our way through nearly the entire menu. Everything we've tried has been nothing short of amazing, and love and care seasons everything. The service has been so so kind, it's very reasonably priced, and I cannot recommend it enough!
Very affordable meal that’s very home style feeling. Seasoning in their salad is really addictive - slightly sweet, spicy and tangy. Their signature scrs bowl brings together everything you’d want in a filling main. A well seasoned beef patty on top of a bowl of rice, with a whipped egg. The egg yolk helps create a really rich sauce that combines everything alongside the katsu sauce. Their homemade ice cream is very creamy and delicious, while their cheesecake uses black sesame to great effect to compliment the lighter strawberry taste
This place has some really goooooood food!
The food was incredibly delicious! Especially the chicken and coconut shrimp!! 10/10
Service is good without the food. Is waited too long and put too much mayo in my BBQ bowl. In my personal opinion. It s too heavy for me.
Went to eat dinner with my friends. Food was really yummy. Coconut Shrimp and pig bulgogi were really good. highly recommended. Server was nice. she kept checking on us if food is okay or need anything. def will visit again.
Food is okay, nothing too special. When we arrived and the restaurant wasn t busy, the server took a sweet time to get to our table. 1st dish was a salad and she didn t give us any dish, spoon or folk. Then she stayed in the kitchen until I had to stand up at cashier and called her. While we were finishing our dinner and it was about 9pm (they close at 10pm), she arrived with a bill and said how the food was. The whole evening she didn t even pass by our table, just for the last moment when we even didn t ask for the bill yet. The restaurant caught my eyes because of the reviews but we were very disappointed. Never come back!
As per previous reviews - a great Korean place!!!!! Friendly service and some of the tastiest dishes !! Chicken wings are the best!!! Food : 5/5
Great little place, tried the salmon bowl and enjoyed it!
Definitely recommend the Steak Salad! Didn t take a picture because we were too hungry.
Some of the best fried chicken in town, great and fast service Their mayo chicken is the best fried chicken in town, and their seafood soup is to die for (for $2 ) Food
You can feel the place is so welcoming the food was great , good prices also
Good tuna poke bowl.
Love this place, the servers are kind and the chef made really nice dishes. Love the coco shrimp most!
Amazing food, 100% worth coming back to try different things on the menu.
Pretty boring menu and the pork in the dishes was burnt out( but thanks for the water WITHOUT ice)
Amazing food in an intimate setting. Love Her Chefs story!
This place has tasty food at a great price! I got the Kingkatsu and was very happy with it
the gentleman & lady that served our group of seven were amazing. as soon as each person that walked in to meet with our group they greeted us with a smile and handed each of us a glass of water and a shot glass for alcohol. their food is also very good especially their appetizer kimchi. ill def be back whenever i visit toronto again
Cute little place for good affordable food
Food is amazing and price is very reasonable :) Staff is very friendly and I will definitely come back if I could ! Kid-friendliness: They were very friendly regardless of the customer s age
Tasty and well priced.
I love Korean food and have tried many different Korean restaurant but this is the one truly made me woah. Truly impressed by the creativity of Her chef for the same traditional Korean food. Want to come back to try all other dishes in the menu.
Ive been coming to this place whenever I can since 2-3 years ago, and theyve never disappointed. I wish they put up better store front signs so people know what theyre selling, that would be the only feedback I could give, since their food and service are ALWAYS top notch.
Good food and great customer service
Speedy service, delicious food (chicken mayo and drug salad), lovely atmosphere! You re doing a great job, Hwa Hur!
Ordered 4 different dishes and each was delicious! Service was attentive.
I had sirloin steak bowl, while my hubby had fried chicken. 1) bowl- the meat is tasty, juicy and tender. I was lucky to choose it from the menu. BUT the portion was small. If you are someone who gets full by eating a big portion, you will end up half satisfied. This portion was just right for women who likes to be not too full 2) chicken- naaah it could be so much better.the only good thing was tender, juicy and yet fried. The taste was not there.
Had a delicious Korean dinner and can t wait to come back! Tried the Korean BBQ, First Place Steak Salad & Chicken Mayo. Everything was amazing, the Korean BBQ is a must must try! Food : 5/5
The taste and service are great! I would like to come again next time.
Served by the owner/chef himself. Very friendly and quick service! You probably couldnt go wrong with any of the menu items but I got the pig bulgogi dish - perfect combination of spicy and sweet! Great portion size for the price as well.
Compliments to the chef! Comfort food and fancy cooking. Exciting dishes! Food
Food is very tasty, and quite reasonably priced.
We went for summerlicous today and were very happy with the food. I especially liked the salad dishes!
Great food. Very nice service and reasonable prices
Food was yummy but their menu didn t strike me as interesting. There are much better options for Korean food around. Place is pretty small so you might have to wait a bit for a table. Quick service. Good pricing.
Chicken Mayo being a classic on the menu did not disappoint a budget friendly meal that will sure fill you up. They dont skimp out on quality or quantity
Just amazing for here! Try the coconut shrimps.
The food was absolutely delicious, everything was exactly as on the menu, straight forward and so good. Thank you, we will be back for sure. Had the Chicken Mayo, Salmon Steaky, kimchi, karaage side and edamame, yum!!
Some very nice options, love the chef s story and the menu is minimalist but broad which is ideal. All things I got were tasty, cannot think of anything to complain about. Vegetarian options: Salad options are simple but excellent and well executed
Food
I enjoyed the chicken mayo bowl. Really good price for the portion you get! Will be coming back :)
Ive been here a few times now and this place never disappoints! I try ordering a new dish every time and it is always delicious! Portions are huge and so reasonably priced, the service is amazing, everyone is very friendly, the restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is so nice! I will be back many times again!
It definitely does not deserve 4.7 rating... Food has no flavor it almost feels like I can make it better at home
Very affordable meal that s very home style feeling. Seasoning in their salad is really addictive - slightly sweet, spicy and tangy.
Amazing!!!! Woth the visit great good better price.
In the midst of traditional Korean restaurants is this small nice fusion one as they offer a lot of familiar dishes with a twist. The coconut shrimp was easily the best appetizer Ive had in awhile. Seeing the simplified menu makes it easy to want to come back to try the rest
I came here with a friend after searching where to eat in Korea town. This is such a quaint little restaurant with such a cute story! The food was amazing and their drinks were super refreshing. Their chicken wings (The Wingardium Leviosa) and spicey pork (One Fire) were definitely my favourites! Id definitely comeback :)
Absolutely perfect place. Our go-to spot to dine in if we are around the area for sure. We probably tried almost every item on the menu throughout the years and they are all delicious. Always great service and reasonable prices. I m so glad this place exists!
PLEASE GO! GO! PLEASE!
Small place with big flavor. The food is fresh and perfect
Everything was so good- love this little Korean joint. Good portion for the cost.
Its owner by sweet lady she was very helpful and advised us what we should go with depending on our preferences and we ended up liking them . Just that done dishes are sweet and you might not like it if you don t prefer sweet foods.
I couldnt even finish my meal (Highmountain Tauren), egg was fluffy and cute and thats all there is to it. The rest of it is soggy and just blah. The seafood based soup was like tasting pure soy sauce in a bowl. Wasnt expecting anything sensational but not this kind of taste that leaves you thinking,Why did I go here?
Great food, charming atmosphere
The story behind this restaurant helps you understand the aesthetics of the atmosphere. All their food we had was delicious even their side salad had a unique dressing made to perfection.
the restaurant has such a cute back story and every dish was mindfully created based on the chef s own experiences and relationships! I love how he shares all these stories on the wall and menu! cozy and warm atmosphere, good for hanging out! yummy food - Highmountain Tauren (the cloud egg is so unique!!), Heat-is-Coming (nice flavours and crisp!) our server was very sweet and attentive! will definitely be back to try other dishes!
The food is really good and it does the job.
Took my daughter her during a daddy/daughter day out. I had the sogogi and she had the tuna poke powl. The steak in the sogogi was done almost perfectly - medium rare and very render. My daughter raved about the tuna poke, saying it was perfectly spiced. We would definitely come back when we are in town again.
Had lunch with friends and we all enjoyed. Quality of the food: top, size dishes perfect. For dessert we had the cheesecake sesame, refreshing and light. For sure I will go back Food : 5/5
It is just fine. Certainly not good enough to justify 4.8 star rating. Food is average, ordered something with the cloud egg, which looked pretty but clearly wasnt freshly prepared as it was cold, and didnt taste great (just had a whipped meringue-like texture, which made it impossible to mix the runny yolk into the dish as you normally would because the meringue is hard to break up). The whole vibe of the restaurant is sort of gimmicky - great backstory in the menu to all the dishes, but the food just doesnt live up to the hype.
Its my first time trying the winterlicious at this restaurant and although the place is small, the food packs an awesome punch. We ordered the breaded shrimp for starters with the sogogi for the mains. This was accompanied by the dessert which consisted of a cruffle with ice cream, mini choco chips and a side of maple syrup. The person who served us was delightful too. The SCRS is a must try because the egg whites was soufflé and the yoke looked like the sun emerging from the clouds. Overall everything was delicious, and beef was tender and the only thing was I wish I could have lots more.
EVERYTHING we ate was 10/10 Great portion sizes too! Food : 5/5
My experience wasnt as good as I expected. Not recommended for takeout I would say. Proportions are small and no side dishes at all. I got the pork bulgogi or something. Found the food too bland.
Food is on the sweet side for me but the flavor is there. If you like sweet savory this is thebplace for you
My new favorite spot in K-Town! No wrong choice from the menu.
Such a great place. Has the winterlicious meal and it was incredible. One guy working doing all the cooking and serving. He was awesome. Deserves every star.
Went here for the winterlicious lunch. $20 (before tax and tips) for so much good food! I got the tomato kimchi salad, chicken mayo, and the homemade ice cream. Super filling and actually enough to take some leftovers home. Delicious food as well! :)
We were here for winterlicious and first the food were outstanding. The sogogi and the Korean BBQ were richly flavored. The crispiness of the coco shrimp was terrific. I also really enjoyed the Vikini drink with berries and soda mix. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. The only downside is the fact that the service was very sloooooow (albeit very friendly). There was only 1 server for a busy weekend dinner. She handles takeout, Uber eats and dine in. Our entire dinner experience took us 2 hours. We were glad to have arrived early otherwise we saw line snaking through the door. Overall, great food but speediness/efficiency can be improved.
The restaurant is tiny!!! Tiny restaurant for BIG flavours! The food was delicious with a twist to change it up from the usual Asian food! The coconut shrimp is a must try!!!! Great price, great serving size!!
It s quite cozy hole in the wall place and surprisingly lesser known so it wasn t crowded at all on the weekend. Food is delicious and affordable. Good quantity too! I like the chef has a story behind each dish.
Amazing place, affordable good food.
Came here for my birthday and got karaage , Korean BBQ bowl, steak salad, and Salmon lover bowl. I was surprised that everything that we had was so incredible and reasonably priced. I would honestly get everything again it was so delicious. We also got the Canadian dessert and peach soju
One of the best restaurants in the city. Delicious and clearly made with love
The grilled chicken udon wasn t good. It was extremely hot (likely microwaved) and just didn t taste good. I m sure the other dishes taste better.
The food was delicious but the portions were a bit smaller than I expected.
The food was fine, nothing exceptional If you re going there to try sake, drink and have small snacks sure. If you re going there with any expectation for the food. Let s just say there are better options in the neighborhood s. This was an unfortunate experience as we had been recommended it by friends and had seen a lot of positive reviews but sadly this was a disappointment.
The store is small, but I think the menu is very good. The prices are reasonable and the food comes out quickly. It was very delicious! It was so delicious that I ordered the cocoa shrimp again :) I plan to visit again haha.
Super sweet place!!! Lovely food, great atmosphere, friendly personell. What else do you need? Food
Great story and inspired food.
Really enjoyed this place that we found on a whim. Excellent food
Very tasty. Unique dishes. Not the usual offerings. Will return for sure. Try the tomato kim chi.
I got the tuna bowl and my partner got the karaage and fries and both were great! Would go again.
Nice small place . The food is absolutely fresh and delicious! Im looking forward to trying something else there next time. The host was also the owner, and he was very pleasant. I think because my son goes there often, the host also gave us a free dessert , in which the four of us shared. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options
The place focuses less on the traditional Korean dishes you may find in the area. It has a lot of types of salad, rice bowls and curious dishes like the whipped meringue with savory pork and rice dish I tried. Im not a fan of the dish but I like that they were trying something new? The Korean fried chicken is tasty and was fried crispy without feeling too greasy! Server was a little inattentive but that may be because she was the only one during the dinner rush!
SOOOO GOOOD!! this is my new favourite place!! Everything was sooo delicious! Great service too :D 10/10 super sweet spot too!
it was really delicious!
The food was really good and the service was amazing too, the owner really did a good job with her restaurant the vibes were 10/10
Consistently tasty, and provides quick & friendly service! My go to spot for lunch during the work week. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out for great food!
Amazing place, everything was absolutely delicious drug salad, the side soup , heat is coming and coco shrimps! the strawberries dessert was also super tasty, wishing to go again!
The food was tasty however I think it can be a bit expensive for the amount of food you get.
Wow! Hidden gem! Food was so delicious and unique. My daughter and I had a lunch together at her chef. Pleasantly surprised by the food created by the chef.
The food is terrific
I am so shocked by the lack of service and attention from this place. The gentleman working Friday evening completely ignored us as we stood waiting for a table. After finally being sat, we waited to order . Nothing. Not even eye contact. I understand you may be short staffed but there s no reason to ignore your customers. After 20 minutes we were so baffled, we got up and left to go elsewhere.
Hidden gem in Toronto!! My partner and I stayed at an airbnb nearby and found this place in googlemaps. I fell inlove with the food and the vibes there, it feels very homey for us. Good thing they re in ubereats so I can order from here even if I m far from the area.
Great place, excellent food and amazing service!
The food is outstanding with the exception of dessert, we had the gommi gommi and it was a bit disappointing.
Cute authentic Korean Asian fusion restaurant. Randomly found this on Google maps and it did not disappoint! The flavour, portion sizes and prices are perfectly on par. Definitely recommend the S.C.R.S & chicken mayo bowl. So filling and delicious. I d be interested to come back and try the other items on the menu. Really cute back story of how the restaurant came to be, ambience has a nice vibe and friendly staff and service. Love supporting local restaurants.
Best food Ive ever had. Ive only been here once but Ive been told by several people that this is the place to go. Every dish Ive heard is excellent and you will be genuinely satisfied with anything you order.
An absolute charm of a place. From the amazing dish names to the warm and inviting atmosphere, it was perfect. Tried their Chicken Croffle (I believe thats what its called), and absolutely savoured every bite
The best thing Ive tasted is the tomato kimchi. It actually blew my mind
Chicken mayo bowl was good but slightly on the dry side.
Have you ever been to a restaurant where the menu reads like a love letter? Come to Her Chef!! I genuinely recommend reading the menu in its fullness from start to finish. Very charming. I had the salmon lover bowl and it was good, but could use more sauce or flavouring. I then had the croffle for dessert and it was DIVINE. A must get. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very charming, but the bathrooms could use a bit more cleaning. Reasonable prices though!
The food is delicious, good quality, and cheap. If there are customers when you arrive at the store, it may take about 30 minutes for your food to arrive. Chicken mayo, original, and KFC are recommended.
Portion sizes are just right, fairly priced, and everything tastes amazing! Definitely coming back for more!
This is not your traditional Korean restaurant! It feels like soulful Korean food with a contemporary twist (and a sprinkling of playfulness in the dish names), at an affordable price. I tried the kingkatsu, chicken croffle, and sun kissed peach tea. The kingkatsu initially appeared to be in a small bowl but the portion is actually good, especially given the price. I really enjoyed the katsu sauce! The chicken croffle was a very innovative dish and I thought it was great for sharing. And I found that the peach tea complemented very well with those two dishes, making the fried food feel less dry. All in a cozy, homey environment. Would definitely come back to try the other dishes! Just note that the restaurant is quite small with limited (and somewhat tight) seating. We got there early (around 5:30 PM) and there was no wait, but by the time we left there were people waiting at the entrance already.
Amazing restaurant ! I loved! Incredible flavor, presentation of dishes, diversification. all wonderful!
Great food, great service! It s a small quaint space but the food is worth the lineup at the door.
Excellent food and friendly staff. Limited seating.
Really good food at reasonable prices and fast service. Got the chicken mayo and shrimp appetizer. Both were really good. Highly recommended!!!!!!
This Korean restaurant is my top 3 restaurants in Korean town. We ordered Coco shrimps, SCRS rice bowl and Pig Bulgogi. Everything was perfect, and it tastes delicious. SCRS is a must when you come to this restaurant. I was on cloud 9 after eating it. We will definitely come back in the summer. Highly recommended.
Great little spot for a quiet lunch or dinner. Food is great - especially the mayo chicken, kingkatsu and kimchi tomato (this was my fave dish). Food
Ive always wanted to come here and finally got a chance, and the place certainly didnt disappoint. My friends and I ordered several menu items to share and they were all very delicious. Also highly recommended is the peach tea.
Cozy. Great food.
Delicious Korean fusion at very reasonable prices
Very delicious! Had their SCRS, kimchi and fried chicken. It was a feast in my mouth. The place is very small though, but I was really impressed by their food and the story of this place written in the walls Food
Beyond impressed! I had the first place steak and salad with a side of soju after a long work day. An expertly prepared meal of filet mignon and dressed salad. I am a new regular customer. Check this place out for sure! Dietary restrictions: Very knowledgeable about what works for dietary and allergy restrictions.
We were in the neighbourhood a few weeks ago and tried this place based on the positive Google reviews, and they were NOT wrong! Between the two of us we ordered the SCRS Original and the Chicken Mayo. The Chicken was very good, you can never go wrong with fried chicken! But the SCRS was the best thing Ive tasted in a long time, just delicious!! In addition to the food, the place is fun and quirky, service was polite and efficient and the prices reasonable. We dont often venture downtown, but this place is worth a repeat someday!
A small little place that serves the best home cooked meals. We enjoyed their steak salad and The Heat is Coming fried chicken. So so good! The steak may looked overcooked in the picture, but trust me. It was perfect. The steak salad dressing is literally crack. Will definitely cone back again! Thank you Her Chef
My friend and I were sharing a celebratory lunch and every single item was perfection - kimchi, radish, wings, gochugang pork, shrimp, chicken salt potatoes, drug salad, whipped peach tea. Will be going back asap to eat more delicious food. Service was very friendly.
Really good and reasonably priced!
Excellent food and service.
A unique menu that all looked so good, I had trouble choosing! Finally got the sugogi and it was delicious!! Husband got the SCRS and loved it too. Very cute restaurant.
Amazing food, great prices and chill atmosphere! Would highly recommend the SCRS and the salmon lover!! Loved how their dishes are inspired by their passions, travel and family! Will tell all of our friends about this place!
Food was amazing!!
SCRS Original was amazing! But be careful with spicy sea food - it was heated spicy even for a person who is used to it. The atmosphere is lovely. Take a minute to get to know the chef via reading the story on the wall, it will make you feel at home Food
Menu has changed a bit since I started going here. Sadly, last time I went, there wasnt much that I could eat (celiac) so I havent been back. Before the pandemic, it was awesome, and their gluten-free version of Pork Valley was my go-to. For those without food allergies, this is a great little place.
Amazing! Fried chicken for the chicken mayo was perfect, the SCRS was like nothing Ive had before and super delicious!
Best food ever! Delicious and cozy.
Fried chicken shareable and mushroom vegan dish were amazing
Super nice food and quick service, loving their SCRS original and the drug salad. Their decoration design might be simple but is full of love
Their spicy Korean chicken was really too good Parking: We need to park in a nearby paid parking lot, as the free roadside parking is very difficult to find on the weekends. Food : 4/5 |
Great food, reasonable price and good service. We had pork Bulgolgi, Mountain Tauren, karaage Chicken and french fries. All of the flavors were great with ample portion sizes. Total cost was a little over $60 including tip.
Very small and way too loud, can t even hear yourself think. BUT the food was so good and the waiter was sweet (we don t remember his name). Hilarious that there is a juice box on the menu for only 1$!! Came here after we reserved a table at a different Korean restaurant and they apparently were closed, we were not disappointed.
Not sure why this rating is so high at 4.8 right now. Place feels dirty, under kept, menus were dirty, dishevelled and ditroyed. Highest rated in the Korean village, but there are cleaner and better places in the area. Food is ok. My rose salmon dish was overpriced.
Great place for Korean, I loved how the dishes were reminiscent of classic Korean dishes but with a twist. Everything tasted great and fresh, and there was clearly a lot of thought put into each dish. Recommend the pig bulgogi, was delicious! Food
Always love it here. Been twice and both times the service and food were exceptional. The mayo chicken and the spicy pork bowls are so good and decently priced. The food always seems to be made with care and the service is always great.
Very good food. Worth the visit!
Absolutely fantastic, will be going again
Sooooo good
Charmingly quirky, interesting menu, good service, and reasonable prices
The food is great and cheaper than a lot other places nowadays even with inflation.
A hidden gem in old k-town serving Asian Fusion dishes. Its small and intimate place. My partner and I got first place steak salad and chicken mayo bowl. The first place steak salad, didnt disappoint, the steak melted in your mouth and was surprisingly filling for a salad! Would definitely go back a second time!
Unseasoned kimchi, sticky tables just to name a few things. Probably mistakes by accidents but could have been avoided and for their current rating on google expected a little more..
Really lovely restaurant with an absolutely adorable story. I was very happy with the vegetarian option, which I cant say about every Korean restaurant! Looking forward to coming back.
Cute place. Friendly Staff & Comforting food. Chicken Mayo is a must try. Also loved the Strawberry Cheesecake. Food
Went to Her Chef with my partner while visiting Toronto. We couldn t have been happier! I m vegan and it s always a bit more difficult for me to find great food. The Inner Peace dish did not disappoint at all. My partner ordered the KingKatsu and was as happy as I was. The flavour was just incredible, and the portion generous. Will recommend to all our friends that are living here!!
Amazing!! Great place to come with friends and family. Bunch of shareables and lots to choose from.
Imaginative and heartfelt dishes, and very tasty.
delicious! salmon bowl was great, service could be a lot better.
Reasonably priced Korean food.
No fuss, fresh and comforting food. Also such a cute story behind it!
This Korean fusion eatery serves up the most delicious food! It was my first time eating this cuisine and Im in love. The food is flavourful, plentiful and served with a smile! Seating is limited and there are no reservations taken. You will not be disappointed if you visit.
I loved the dish I tried, Im vegetarian and I wanted something crunchy, I ordered the Happy Cow. Excellent option! Her Chef is super friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant.
Very tasty!
I went here for lunch with my bestie and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT she had a salmon plate and I had the fried chicken on waffle and we both really enjoyed our food. Oh my goodness, I can still remember the smell of the batter cooking!! I had some leftovers that I put in the air fryer the next day. I was so happy. I will 200% come back, decor is intimate, food is hella tasty and the prices are very fair. (ALSO THANK YOU FOR PUTTING JAY PARK ON SPOTIFY <3)
Love this place! Its small, quaint, cute. The service is great. The food is delicious and simple. I like to end my meal with the Gommi Gommi. It feels like a warm hug for my stomach
Such a great understated spot in Korea town. Loved reading about the history behind the place as well (see photos). Super nice chef and quick service, but the star of the show is the food. We had the steak salad, mayo chicken, and SCRS, and all 3 were hits. The mayo chicken is something I m definitely going to come back for - those juicy chunks of fried chicken have burned a spot in my food memory . Thank you Chef Hur!
There was nothing on the menu I ordered that was not delicious!! Even though it comes with a generous drizzle of Kkanpunggi sauce, it is crispy and delicious. And its good at desserts. The smell of crople is crazy,,, Soju is cheap, the price is reasonable and it s delicious. Recommended
Food was good. But the music was a bit egregious. All very similar pop songs.
Nicest people with a creative menu and sincerely generous hearts! I ve only gotten takeout, but it always hits. Can t wait to dine-in!
The food from the HerChef kitchen is truly inspired! The Chicken Croffle hits all the notes, crispy, savory, juicy chicken atop a buttery croissant-like waffle, with a honey mustard dressing and fresh greens in vinegrette to cut through the richness. Add a side of pickled radish for extra perfection! See picture! A new addition to the excellent menu, is the the best Korean BBQ Ive ever enjoyed, with pickled onions and warm rice. And this masterpiece is only $12.99. I like to add on deep fried garlic. Soooo goood! See picture with a side order of Edamame. Thank You Chef Hwa!!! Also Thank You! to the very attentive servers!
it is delicious
My boyfriend and I went here for a quick lunch and we were surprised of how great the food was. The coco shrimp was great and my partner absolutely loved the spicy boneless chicken. Definitely worth 5 stars, and we ll be coming back again to try other dishes.
Spectacular food with high quality ingredients! Love the cozy and welcoming atmosphere! One of the best korean fusion dishes I ve tried!! Recommend 10/10!!!
Absolutely amazing food! The tuna bowl and steak salad are so good!
Im vegetarian and so Korean food is hard to come by. They have an amazing vegan mushroom bowl which had a rich umami flavour. And the strawberry black sesame cheesecake is incredible.
Too good
Not bad but not good either. Small portions and a bit pricy for what your getting. I had to eat lunch again at another place after this
Amazing food! I m vegetarian and the SCRS Happy Cow was really good! I d highly recommend with the hot sauce on the side if you like a bit of spice.
Great tasty meal! Many options, vegetarian friendly
The food here is AMAZING! My group had the Salmon Lover, Sogogi, Chicken Mayo and Heat is Coming and it s all incredible. Go here. Eat food. Enjoy it. Food
Ive been here for an escape from a twin mommy, and its not disappointing me. The chicken is crispy with perfect sauce, and the Asahi beer enhances the flavor to another level. I read the owners story and I feel it, as a daughter missing her mom food for a long long time. Highly recommend
Literally one of the best quick service restaurants in Toronto. Everything I ve tried here Including the Salmon Lover, Big Tuna, Pho, Pig Bulgogi is amazing. Though the salmon lover remains my favourite. Amazing and fast service. Very cozy and friendly environment.
The food here is amazing and everything was so good. We will definitely go back. Prices are also reasonable. we got: Chicken karaage Korean bbq (favourite) Steak salad (favorite) Salmon lover Gommi Gommi dessert Peach Soju
It was an unexpected stop for lunch. Didnt really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I like the small shop feel and the creativity of the dishes was very well done. Service was good and typical in a Korean fashion like many of the other small restaurants in the area. The place was clean and tidy. We ordered the fluffy egg rice dish (scrs rice), a steak salad, tomato Kimchi and the mayo chicken. Everything was hot and delicious. But the fluffy egg rice dish was probably the best. Would go again.
