My partner and I were on our way to Koreatown for a meal when we decided to give this local place a try instead. We ordered sushi that was good and well priced. However, we also ordered bibimbap and it was disappointing. It was served in a cold bowl, the portion was small and we had to pay an extra $2 for a fried egg, which usually comes as part of the dish. There were no little side dishes either. The server was very nice and the service was good.

We arrived at this small authentic Korean restaurant just after 8 on a Saturday evening. There was only one other couple there and the restaurant next door seemed much busier, so we felt hesitant at first. But eventually we decided to walk in and grab a table. We quickly found out that this was a family run operation with the daughter of the owners greeting us. She would be both our hostess and our server for the evening. The Korean owners were both the chefs who prepared our meal. This was no ordinary family run business as the service was polite, professional and prompt! The atmosphere was tranquil and the food was delicious and truly authentic. I had my first bowl of japchae ever. They also have some of the best green tea I have ever tasted. The tea had a floral sweetness too it that was unlike any I had tried previously and it is an in-house tea blend which was spectacular. I will go back in future is not for the tea alone! Thank you for a great experience. Please also consider raising your prices as I would very much wish this restaurant and this family to thrive and get paid their worth for the quality that they deliver.

Owners and staff are so sweet Attentive and had a nice conversation with one of the owners about the band shirt I was wearing lol. This place satisfies my craving for japchae, especially since theres not a lot of Korean food in this immediate area.

I found this place on a whim one day after having a craving for sushi and searching Google to see what I could find in the area. I mustve walked past this place a million times. That said, as after finally trying it out I can say that I was pleasantly surprised! Ive only had the sushi, but Ive now ordered it enough times to say with confidence that its always fresh and extremely tasty. We recently added the Crunch Roll to our rotation. What a tasty bite!

Im confused by this places reviews. Sure the service was prompt and the food was ok, but Ive certainly have had Korean food that has blown this place away. I paid $23 (including tax and a tip that I begrudgingly left) for a cold bibimbap that came with zero side dishes (except sushi restaurant style miso soup and salad) and zero egg. Not even kimchi (its like $6.5 for kimchi!). I wont be back. Feel bad writing this review but I seriously cant understand 4.9 star review. Went here bc of the rating and I was very disappointed. The other reviews must not be legit.

Never liked Bibimbap until now. The bright, fresh ingredients to rice ratio was the difference here. Usually I find the dish has too much rice, with a sprinkling of toppings. This is not the case at Leeko. I will be back. 10/10

Great and delicious food. Came here second time and the waitress remembered about my dietary restrictions, which is really sweet and attentive! They also have gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options! The sushi is on point, very fresh and flavourful. I would definitely suggest trying the crunchy roll and japchae. Bento boxes are great too. Korean signature are worth trying and in the end don t forget to have ice cream for dessert - red bean and green tea are great Will be coming back for sure

Exceptional little restaurant! What a great discovery! We went there for dinner. The prices are very fair, the welcome warm and the dishes delicious. Many items are homemade such as sauces, tea, etc. Dont forget to try the house tea, its so good that we were disappointed that they dont sell it to take away yet. Several Korean specialties such as bibimbaps are a must-try. We loved the miso soup too. We recommend 100%!

Friendly, delicious home cooking.

Home cooked without the mess. I used to live with a Korean. I lived for a month in Seoul with him while he was visiting his parents. This tastes almost exactly like his moms cooking. Shrimp was tempura ed crispy with miso soup that tasted like it should. My bibimbap mixed well and wasn t too hot even with a bit of the hot sauce. Portions are large and the tea is hot and plentiful. Will be back! Vegetarian options: Vegetable options are available. Dietary restrictions: Vegan possible.

A great little place with a solid and diverse menu. Their bibimbap was delicious with lots of options to make it just the way you want it. (although I did not see a dolsot option unfortunately) Service is exceptionally attentive - very relaxed atmosphere! Pricing is very reasonable - not at all pretentious. I will go again ... likely more than once, or twice.

IT REALLY DOES HAVE ROLLS AND BOWLS!!!!!!! Located literally 100 steps from Lansdowne station (dont quote me on that), this is a true hidden gem! The menu consisted of sushi rolls and bibimbap, noodle or rice bowls. I had the katsu don ($20ish with tax and tip) and it was so drool worthy that you could fill an 8 oz water bottle with your saliva. The katsu was crispier than my skin has been this summer, and so tender too! It was served with the typical glossy brown katsu sauce as well as a bed of rice. Underneath the rice was some pan fried vegetables- I normally stay away from veggies like the black plague but I actually wanted more! A salad was also served at the beginning of the meal, free of charge. The owner was just lovely too. I love providing business to people who seem genuinely passionate and caring about their work. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I think that although this restaurant felt very clean, the décor could use a bit of a makeover. Such a minor thing, and in the end I will come back for this salivating katsu!

Lots of veggie options! Loved how food actually tasted fresh! Had a lovely veggie dumpling soup, and yam avocado roll. Everything was really tasty and highly recommended. The gent serving there was really nice, the lady a bit uninterested, but we all have off days. Pls, if I ask for hot sauce, charge me, its fine, just dont give me very little for free because most likely I wont ask for more, but I would of prefer to pay and get more. It came to 20dls with tip. Thats very fairly priced these days. Yes, Ill be back

Noticeably better than most sushi takeout

Been here twice now, once for the Bibimbao and now trying some sushi. This is a fantastic little spot for some rolls but especially the Korean fare. Its all wonderfully prepared and the resturant itself is lovely to sit in and eat. Would recommend to anyone looking for something tasty and with the homemade pride element to it. The sauces are amazing and they make them in house, and you can taste how fresh and well made it is. The in house specialty drinks (they also make themselves) are also fantastic and would recommend for any visit.

Really enjoyed my experience here! Ordered some food to take home. Very friendly and welcoming customer service from a lovely lady. She was also very helpful with the menu as it was my first time ordering Korean food. Ordered the spicy chicken bibimbap which was really delicious and the dynamite roll which was also really good! Miso soup was perfection. Also had a really good cup of Korean green tea. Highly recommend Roll and Bowl and will be back again soon for sure!

Stopped in to grab and go, but ended up ordering the japchae with added bulgogi! Because of the wait expected for my order, I was offered a cup of tea and a seat. I ended up staying to eat my meal there, which was sooo delicious! And all for such a reasonable price. I was surprised that my japchae came with miso soup and a little salad, too. Im going to be stopping by this hidden gem next to Lansdowne station regularly.

I ordered from here today on Uber eats and had to come leave a review because the food was just wow!!! It s not often that delivered food is so impressive. Everything was well packed. I had the bibimbap with bulgogi and it was fresh and tasty. The star of the show was a crunch roll that I ordered on a whim it s avocado, yam tempura, cream cheese and coconut flakes that was deep fried and it is out of this world amazing. I highly highly recommend anyone to try this place and will definitely order from them again.

A great spot for a casual meal! I dropped by with my friend on a hot summer day for a quick dinner. It s a cute little spot that offers some seating and a variety of Korean and Japanese items on the menu. They also offer special dinner combos for pickup as well as grab & go breakfast/lunch specials! They also have vegetarian options on the menu. I tried out the Spicy Pork rice bowl which was soooo delicious! I love how there were so much meat and veggies, with the perfect amount of sauce! It was deliciously spicy and went sooo well with the white rice. My friend got the Fried Tofu Bibimbap with spicy sauce, which was so so good and filled with toppings as well! Their set menu comes with delicious miso soup and house salad. The staff were so nice and I love the warm and friendly environment here! We will be back! :)

I bought beef dumplings and a crunch roll, and food was delicious I really love the taste. The owner was very friendly, they also have some desserts like tiramisù. Overall really good price for a nice meal, I would recommend to everybody.

Worthwhile if youre feeling like a bimbimbap. Spicy pork is your best bet, but if its too much of a kick then bulgogi (beef) works too.

Wow it was a hidden gem in my neighbourhood! I always pass by there and few days ago, my child picked up salmon lover combo and it was really good for $13.95 comes with salad and miso soup~ It was good portion and tasted so good~ And we decided to come back today for spicy roll combo, salmon lover combo, and bulgogi bibimbab! They all came with the salad and the miso soup~~ we got a cute tiramisu cup that seemed like being made by them. It was so good for a desert!! For the taste of food, it was really good( I am a chef and I know what s good or bad lol) Also, the owner was so friendly that made us feeling so welcome and comfortable there~ I am so glad I found a good korean and Japanese restaurant in my neighbourhood!! Definitely, I will go back with my friends ~

I discovered this restaurant during Covid, and I m so thrilled I walked in that day. Jamie is very kind and welcoming and I love the food here. The portions are great and so delicious. It s a cosy spot to get warm homemade style food. Def recommend trying. PS: Jamie is a big BTS fan!!!

This hidden gem makes an amazing Bulgogi Bibimbap, get extra bulgogi and the spicy sauce. All their sushi rolls are prepared to perfection and the complimentary toasted five grain tea they make inhouse tastes like a cup of happiness. For desert get the black sesame ice cream.... it is so well balanced and nutty, like no other youll ever try. We will definitely be back! So good we forgot to take pictures!

Best Korean in Toronto

I discovered this place 3 months ago or so and God knows how many times I went there after that. For my opinion, they have the best sushi ever! Please give them a shot. Salmon Volcano is my all time fav! Also, the owner is a great person. Her welcoming is really warm and you will feel like youre home.

Very meh, especially the sushi. Red dragon roll uses California as a base, not Dynamite. Spicy tuna roll isnt spicy. Korean food was good. We may return but many better options available for sushi.

I love that there is a decent sushi place in this area! The owners are incredibly nice and personable, and they make their own desserts which are absolutely amazing. I really like the Crunch Roll, and the signature bowls are pretty good too. The prices are right for this place, and everything is clean, fresh, and well presented. The seaweed salad and miso soup are especially good as well.

Really great sushi and bulgogi bowl! Flavours were great, we really liked the crunch roll. The lady was so sweet, she mixed up one of the items that we ordered and went out of her way to make it up.

I ve eaten their food 4 times now and it s consistently delicious and staff is friendly! I always get their spicy salmon roll which is included in their Salmon Lover A set (pictured here). They sprinkle some kind of spicy seasoning on their spicy salmon roll, which I ve never seen any other place do, and it elevates the roll in a very subtle way. I m so glad they re here in the community, please support them so they can stay here forever

I cannot stress enough how FRESH the rolls are, its a quality apart from the excellent taste, and it raises the whole culinary experience to a new level. Their dumplings are very good too, and Jamie paid attention to my non-spicy preference, and every time adjusts the sauce to my liking. Their bowls are tasty and fulfilling too, but I am too hooked on rolls to explore this area more ! I work a few doors down from them, and me and my colleague already made a habit of treating ourselves on Fridays with a delicious lunch at Roll and Bowl. I would go more often, but Im dieting :-(....

I really love this spot. I just moved into the neighbourhood and have picked up a few different things on different occasions. Everything was super delicious and VERY fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the sashimi, and maki rolls as well as the tempura, dumplings and also a very yum korean bibimbap with egg. Pls go!! Very nice owner too :)

I just discovered them on Ubereats, figured Id give them a try because their prices and portions were very reasonable. Wow! It was absolutely delicious, presentation was nice, everything was fresh, they put their own twist on the sushi rolls. This will be my new favourite place. I hope they survive covid.
