Namul in Toronto

The food is good and authentic and tastes very homely and healthy. The prices to portion ratio is a little small for how expensive it is. Would like to visit again but cant afford it.

The food was absolutely amazing. Fresh and delicious and this family run business does everything from scratch. I am picky and this exceeded expectations.

I ordered bulgogi, but isn t this too much? This is stir-fried onions, not bulgogi. Why do Korean restaurants operate like this? The portions keep shrinking, and now they re selling stir-fried onions as bulgogi. Just raise the price and serve proper food instead.

Best kimbap!

Had kimbap and japchae, both items were very good. I ve been looking for affordable kimbap places and this place hits the spot well.

Cozy, simple, healthy korean food. Fresh ingredients that you feel good eating. May not be the cheapest bibimbap youve ever had, but itll be the best for sure. Super nice staff too. Vegetarian options: You can customize your own bibimbap and make it vegetarian!

Food was great but I do think a bit too expensive. Ill be back to try bibimbap, but I think the prices will keep me from being a regular.

Yummy Korean comfort food. The menu isnt very big but what they have is good.

I knew that I wanted to try their regular kimbap but I was unsure if I also wanted the tuna or the bulgogi. Im glad that I asked the chef for his recommendation because the tuna was a surprise hit. I love that it looks like its him and his mom cooking. Food was lovingly made, nicely packaged, and service was friendly and helpful. Im looking forward to going back.

I haven t dined in-store yet, but I order from here regularly because their gimbap is always on point! Gimbap is just one of those things that look easy to make, but it s really hard to get it right needs that perfect rice texture and seasoning, and the veggies have to stay fresh and crisp while the meats stay flavorful without drying out. I personally think this gimbap place is the only one in the GTA that consistently gets it 100%. When you dont feel like cooking and you want a fast, healthy bite, this place is the way to go.

I was walking by this place, and I decided to stop in to get a little lunch. Im so glad I did!! The gentleman at the front was so sweet, kind and helpful! Such a rarity these days. I asked for his suggestions and I decided on the tuna kimbap. I had asked for it spicy, but he explained that they dont normally have anything to make it spicy. In spite of that, he offered me some complimentary sauce on the side to try. Even though that sauce was great, he was right, it didnt need any spice. Those rolls were FULL of flavour and I absolutely loved them!! Cant wait to try more dishes!!!

I tried the Japchae and classic kimbap, both were delicious! Very reasonably priced and a nice addition to midtown. The staff were also very friendly.

The place is fine for a very casual bite, but I m highly skeptical of the uniformly 5 star reviews (are these actually real reviews?). The portions are small for a casual dining location, the ingredients and taste were moderate only. The chicken in the chicken bulgogi was clearly day old tasting, the kimbap reminded me of a supermarket roll. I checked some of the low reviews and the comments seem to corroborate my review.

Was really impressed by the taste here! I think its a bit of an overlooked spot but definitely worth trying.

Come to this restaurant for a light meal. The Bibimbap is mediocre, and really just tastes like the combination of the ingredients, no value added. The portions are small for the price, and dont make up for it in taste. I can, however, recommend the bulgogi. The beef is delicious and if it werent for the miniscule portion size it would be worth the price. The Kimbap is also very good, but again somewhat overpriced. Service was kind and welcoming.

Such a lovely place to eat fresh, made from scratch delicious food.It was our first time eating Korean food but staff was amazing, taking time to help ordering dishes and explaining everything. Clean, cozy, family run and beautifully decorated small restaurant. Would highly recommend.

Wow. Some great food here. The japche was so good! It was the perfect amount for lunch. Although very busy the staff took time to ensure all was good and apologized for the delays as they had a lot of lunch orders. Definitely going back.

This is my go to place in midtown. I have eaten at least 10x and the service is super friendly. A family operation always trying to please their customers. I had never eaten bimbap before and its delicious. A simple and delicious combo of several uniquely prepared vegetables and rice. Also several sides such as bulgogi beef and noodles. Available in strictly vegetarian or with meat. You cant go wrong. My only suggestion is keep working on the ambience and atmosphere to create an environment as distinct as the food and family.

Tried 3 different options on the menu and they were able to make them fully vegan for us. So delicious and the service we got from Daniel was exceptional . Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: Great Vegan options. DELICIOUS

Food was only okay, and pricey. Asking for a minimum of a 15% tip before I even eat is absurd when I have to go to the counter to order and pick up my food, and then bring my dishes to a drop off station, essentially making it a fast food experience.

We held our sons birthday celebration at Namul. The food was very good, very fresh, and the portions were plentiful. This is authentic Korean home cooking. The service was well-organized (we were 19 in total, and the orders were handled quickly and efficiently). Thank you Daniel and family for your hospitality. We wish you continued success.

Food is very affordable but still super yummy! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant as well, it is casual and cute - perfect for a quick and cheap dinner with friends. The employees were so sweet and welcoming to us the whole duration of our dinner. Definitely recommend!

Great bibimbob with fresh namul, seasoned vegetables. It is a small and casual self-service restaurant. There were only 9 items on the menu (prob for quality control). Would highly recommend to those who look for Korean vegetarian dishes in Toronto. I had bibimbap and the vegetables inside were very delicious and fresh. There is nothing special about the menu (bibimbap, kimbap, japchae, etc.), but after eating bibimbap, Im looking forward to other menus as well. Everyone working at the restaurant was friendly.

Ordered the Tuna Kimbap and the Bulgogi Kimbap. Between the two, the Tuna Kimbap was much more flavorful! The portion sizes are good.

Vegetarian options: Great Vegetarian option. Would recommend namul bibimbap without eggs. Dietary restrictions: Ingredients are blanched and mostly vegetables. Therefore very friendly for anyone with any dietary restrictions. Kid-friendliness: Has a high chair for those and ingredients are easy to take out for kids.

I had the namul bibimbap and it was delicious. Tasted fresh and it was a great portion. The restaurant had an inviting atmosphere and the owner was very kind. He explained the dishes to me clearly as a first timer.

Everytime I ve came, the food always felt fresh and all the dishes I ve tried works great together. I would recommend bimbimbap + bulgogi. If you eat more than the average person adding a kimbap would fill you up. Host is friendly and helpful. Would recommend to newcomers as well. The taste isn t too unfamiliar but rather pleasantly unique and healthy while still giving you the full feeling.

The owner was super helpful for us first timers. He helped us put together our order at the counter. He spent time describing to us each menu item. We decided on the japche for our shareable and our mains based on the owner s recommendations (bibimbap & dupbap). The hospitality was outstanding, the colours were delightful, and overall our experience was pleasant. We will definitely be back!

Namul is a perfect little slice of Korea in the heart of Davisville. When I think of Korean food, the bibimbap here is the perfect example of what Im thinking of. Its fresh, light, and flavorful. Top it all off with some of their homade soy sauce and gochujang and you couldnt ask for a better place to experience the amazing flavors of authentic Korean cuisine. Really an amazing restaurant you do not want to miss.

I must say it was an absolute delight! The bibimbap was a true standout, packed with vibrant flavours and fresh ingredients that transported me back to the streets of Seoul. The gimbap was equally impressive - perfectly rolled and bursting with savory fililings. The side dishes, japchae, bulgogi, galbi and selection of beverages complemented the main dishes beautifully. It was such a fantastic dining experience in Toronto and I cant wait to return!

Im so happy that theres a kimbap restaurant in Midtown. Ill go there often. Ive tried all the kimbap and its all delicious. I think it would be even more delicious if burdock was added to the kimbap.

I ordered online and picked it up, but I felt a little uncomfortable because they had pre-made kimbap on display... The kimbap I ate wasnt warm, and it didnt seem like the seaweed was even oiled. Still, it was filling and worth eating, but I dont think Ill come here often. (Spinach is a little tough) I ordered online and picked it up, but felt a bit nervous because the pre-made gimbaps was displayed... The gimbap I ate was not warm, and it seemed that no sesame oil was applied to the seaweed. Still, the ingredients were pretty good so I could eat it, but I dont think Ill go often. (spinach was a bit chewy)

If you want something quick that doesnt break the bank, tastes good and feels like you are eating healthy/fresh food, then this is the place! I had the Namul Bibimbap and the Bulgogi Kimbap, both had plenty of veggies that tasted good and fresh. Also had a side of Galbi which was pretty good. The star of the meal was the Bulgogi Kimbap, loved it! And that house Gochujang sauce...sooo good! Place is clean and has a very inviting decoration. All in all, great addition to the neighborhood.

I love the bulgogi kimbap (only order from Ubereats) because it it light, healthy, and tasty. The 10 pieces were large and filled my belly. I think 10 pieces for 10 bucks is a decent price when there is meat in it. Would love to try their poke bowls, tuna kimbap, and japchae next time, among other dishes. Thanks for opening another Korean restaurant when DnDn closed unfortunately. Hopefully they can make their menu bigger as time goes on! Ex. Serve hot soups with rice with banchan/free side dishes

Food was fresh and delicious. We had the Namul Bibimbap with bulgogi, Salmon Dupbap, Japchae and Classic Kimbap. They have a solid selection of soft drinks. The restaurant is very clean. You place your order on the right upon entering. You are given a small device that flashes and beeps when your order is ready. Food is cooked in the open kitchen right after you place your order. You pick up your order to the left of the cash. You can sit anywhere you like. Tables are well spaced out. After you are finished, you empty your trays in the bins that are located discreetly on the right of the main entrance. The music playing was, well, K-Pop. The cashier was super friendly and patiently explained food items. Well be back!

Great Korean restaurant for quick delicious on the go food. They have tuna kimbap which a lot of korean places don t serve, it s spot on! My husband says it is just as good as the ones in Korea. Friendly staff also, great value. I ve been multiple times since it has opened.

I tried Namul for the first time through Uber eats. I am confident to say that Namuls dishes are exactly the same as their display images. I was astounded by the fresh taste of gimbap. A qsr disguised as a restaurant. Id rather pay more for full service. I dont mind walking up to order but after being prompted for a 15% tip, being called up to retrieve my food in an empty restaurant was pretty disappointing. Food is all right, closer to a grocer than homemade. Would rather pay significantly less for a marginally worse meal at a grocer (hmart; gallerias kimbap is pretty bad) or pay more at a real restaurant.

This is one of the nicest restaurants in Toronto. This is the most delicious Korean food in Toronto!!! Highly recommended if you want to eat Korean food that tastes better than Korea! This is a restaurant I want to eat again!
