774 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4J 1L5, Canada
Social enterprise Korean Fried Chicken restaurant with a mission of hiring neurodivergent talent and providing a safe space for everyone to dine in. We offer sensory boxes and a sensory room for customers to use. We use local halal chicken and the sauces are all made in house in small batches. Dog-friendly patio available with a pup menu! 사랑키친
The portions are very good in size and also taste good. The store is well decorated and wide. Service was ok. We were served by two different people, the woman was really good and polite, but the guy was distracted, although the house had just three tables, he didn't serve well. The prices are fair.
This spot is amazing! The Sambal Oelek fried chicken was perfectly spiced, and the platter for two came with huge portions—more than enough for two hungry people. The mango cocktail was a highlight, made with real fruit instead of syrups. Even my picky dog loved the dog-friendly menu! I also really admire their mission to support the neurodivergent community and provide sensory-friendly hours. Can’t wait to visit again!
Absolutely loved the food, service, and overall atmosphere here! It's so evident that they work hard to create a space that feels welcoming and inclusive for everyone with different needs and abilities. It was really heart warming to see, plus the food is amazing too. :) Can't wait to tell more people about this place!
Amazing staff and comfortable atmosphere. Pet friendly with a very special dog menu! Large portions and delicious food. This place will be my new favourite go-to spot! It is incredibly unique and welcoming with its own sensory room. My dog has never been so happy!
Came here for lunch and enjoyed the atmosphere. They are pet friendly and tipping-included which I appreciated a lot. The food was good, with comparable price point to other similar places. We ordered the original fried chicken and a squid dish. Such a lovey addition to the Danforth area.
I recently visited Sarang Kitchen with my family after our flu shots, eager to enjoy a cozy meal together. We ordered a variety of dishes: the K Snack Platter, Original Fried Chicken, Spicy Rice Cake Stew, and Cheese Balls. Unfortunately, the K Snack Platter didn't meet my expectations. It seemed overcooked and darker than I would have liked, which made me wonder if the oil hadn't been changed or if the items were simply over-fried. The same went for the Original Fried Chicken; while it was decent, it was slightly dry and lacked the moisture I was hoping for. On a positive note, the kids really enjoyed the Cheese Balls and Spicy Rice Cake Stew. The flavors were vibrant and satisfying, which made them happy diners! The staff at Sarang Kitchen were fantastic—very attentive and friendly, which definitely added to our experience. However, I found the dining environment a bit uncomfortable. With the AC blasting full blast in November, our seating felt quite chilly, especially with the vent directly overhead. Luckily, the warm Spicy Rice Cake Stew helped to keep me warm during our meal. Overall, while there were some hits and misses with the food, the attentive service and the enjoyable dishes for the kids made for a pleasant family outing. I hope they can improve on the frying techniques for their offerings in the future!
I was curious about this new open Korean fried chicken restaurant and finally went in with my friend today. The chickens were so crispy and delicious, the portion was so big that we had to take out some for lunch tomorrow. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended 😊
I seriously have nothing but amazing things to say about sarang kitchen! We’ve heard so many great things and love what they’re all about and as soon as we stepped in the restaurant we knew we were gonna have a great time. This second location is so brightly lit with lots of space, but they’ve also included a back area with sensory rooms and boxes with dimmed lighting for anyone feeling overwhelmed. The food was spectacular, we love their sarang platter which came with 2 flavours of Korean fried chicken (you can choose bone in or boneless) lots of tornado chips & a giant squid. It also came with 4 delicious dipping sauces, coleslaw and pickled radish. It’s a perfect platter to share with friends and just have a relaxing time while snacking away. Their rice cake stew was huge and had so many toppings, definitely worth it for the price you’re paying & the sauce is amazing for dipping as well. Everything from food to service was amazing and you really feel included and part of their family. Highly recommend!
Best fried chicken around! Service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is modern and inviting. Plus, check out the bean bag table! The chicken was crispy on the outside but tender and SUPER juicy on the inside. 10/10 would recommend.
Food was amazing. They are dog friendly and very accommodating. Best place I have been to hands down.
Everything about this place deserves all the stars. The service is 11/10, the music is 12/10 and the food is 20/10. The atmosphere provides this home feeling to the dining experience. Will be definitely come back here often.
Great place to eat, food is awesome and the atmosphere is very good. Wait staff are amazing!!
It s nice to be able to bring our well behaved dog with us. Sadly our dog has a rather weak stomach otherwise I would have ordered him a puppochino. Vegetarian options: The fried cauliflower was very good.
TLDR: Amazing food, great service, dog-approved, and love their mission to support the neurodivergent community with sensory-friendly hours! This spot really stands out. The food and drinks are made with care, the service is super thoughtful, and the atmosphere is bright and inviting (loved the bean bag chairs!). We came around 1:30 PM on a Sunday and walked right in with no wait. It s dog-friendly, with a special menu for dogs that even my picky pup devoured. The drinks are made with real fruit (no syrups!), and the fried chicken was so flavorful and perfectly spiced without being overwhelming (Sambal Oelek for 2 was what I tried and LOVED it, plus portions were large too). The staff were incredibly friendly little things like bringing water for our dog, topping up our napkins without being asked, and offering a complimentary Korean drink after we paid really stood out. I also love their mission to break down employment barriers for the neurodivergent community and their sensory-friendly hours. It s so refreshing to see a place doing good while offering such an amazing experience. And huge respect for paying staff a living wage and discouraging tips. That alone makes me want to come back and tell all my friends about this place! Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available at the entrance
Delicious
Very nice food, friendly staff, and calming atmosphere<3 I have been to both locations multiple times, I would definitely recommend. They also have a good drink selection
Good was amazing. We got the Soy Garlic chicken which was the highlight of our visit. THE CORN CHEESE ISSSS A MUST HAVEEEEE.
Sarang Kitchen was very accommodating with a variety of options :) would definitely come back!
Great!
Angel was the sweetest server ever! I m coming back for sure food was 11/10
Great portions and quality food; service by Angel was great, will definitely return when I m in the area!
Second time coming to this location. The servers are amazing! The food was bomb!! 10/10 experience
Angel was an amazing waiter! Great service and delicious food.

Would prefer washroom for female and male seperate
Friendly staff and tasty food
We made a last-minute decision to visit, and it turned out to be a great choice! The food was fantastic, and the friendly atmosphere made it even better. Well definitely be back to try more dishes next time!
I had the best time with my family, including our dog! She loved the puppy menu too! Great service, great food, can t wait to come back! Thanks so much!
Wow great display of food it was just tasteful down to the side of radish ****** thumbs up must try ! So far best Korean stop on the Danforth
Great service great food! Great atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Great food, great mission, and great atmosphere! Cant beat Korean fried chicken but they also do some creative stuff (like fish roe mayo ). Also appreciate their inclusive hiring and that they include tips in their pricing (wish more places would do that). Lastly, just a fun family friendly spot.
When we heard Sarang Kitchen allowed dogs to dine in, my partner and I knew we had to try it. We made a reservation for 2 people + 1 dog. When we arrived, given all the booths were full and they had a party of 6 arriving, they offered us the high top table or a seat for 2 which led us to be so confused as it wasn t a good place to sit with a dog. They finally gave us a small corner seat but it was meant for a table of 2 which was awkward. Luckily, one of the parties with the booth was leaving and after speaking to the one of the staff to explain our issues, they sat us in the booth seat and more than made up for it with a free appetizer, which was not needed but most appreciated. And our doggo had his own sit next to us which was nice! We ordered the fried chicken party platter, the mango mocktail and the lychee galaxy mocktail for us. For our doggo, he had the bark-b-q set and the pawgarita. The food was delicious! The fried chicken flavors they offered were very unique! We got the salted egg and the kopai (tangy and sweet). It came with 4 different dipping sauces, fried potato chips and fried squid. The mocktails were yummy and refreshing- you could tell it was the real deal. The cheese balls appetizers came with a delicious mustard sauce and were great! We end up taking half of it to go since we couldn t finish it. Our doggo, finished his pawgarita and most of his bbq. He loved every bit of it. The servers were great and attentive to our needs. They also checked on us often to ensure we were taken care of. We ll definitely come back and let our friends know about it. Big bonus on this being a not tip restaurant and paying their staff fair compensation and providing health benefits It s also a sensory restaurant which means there are sensor rooms for people to use when needed and bean bags around low table tops. Overall, a very cool concept and a great vibe. Ps: maybe it was a very cold day, but it felt a little chilly in the restaurant and some of the staff were wearing jackets - wonder if the heating wasn t working well? Wheelchair accessibility: there is a ramp at the entrance.
From the amazing crispy chcien to the flavourful spaces, everything about this place hit the right spot
Good food, friendly staff. We ll be back
Just got back from Sarang Kitchen with my family and dogs. We all loved it. Will definitely go back
Very good service. Chicken is well seasoned and crispy. Be careful of the spice level.
Great family place, delicious fried chicken!
The service was and food both were 10/10. Definitely coming back!
We visited Sarang kitchen for the first time and glad to say we re coming back. Ordered the Korean Cheese Dogs, kimchi fries and the 2-person platter of Korean Fried Chicken. The food was amazing and fresh. The staff was very kind and gave us yakult before we left. Definitely coming back!
Very good
This place is amazing! I was happy to bring my family here and support the good work that theyre doing.
Sarang Kitchen in East York, Toronto, is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Everything about this place is perfect. A well-deserved 5/5! Highly recommend!
Second time to eat at Sarang and first time here at their Danforth branch. I like the ambience and they got bigger space here. Overall always a pleasant experience. Kid-friendliness: Good music not too loud
Great food, friendly service, kids loved it!
choice fried chicken was crispy!
Amazing place.. food was great and staff was attentive. Will defiantly come back again.
Amazing service and food. Love it when it s dog friendly ! Korean bbq for dog is amazing, Yukari approves !
I came to try their inferno chicken challenge, where they state if you win, you receive a cash voucher. Not only is your cash voucher only applicable at Sarang, you have to spend a minimum of $50 to even use it and within a specific time period, none of which is stated on their website or menu. It s such a scam and not worth it at all.
Thank you Sarang Kitchen for a super fun and memorable birthday celebration for our pup, Hazelnut! The Paw Menu was a hit. We had three dogs and they all loved the Bark-B-Q set. Parking: Bring your dog!
Great! Loved the seaweed rolls. Platter for two is huge (whole chicken?) - if you re ordering other dishes probably platter for one would suffice.
Really enjoyed our time here and the food was great
Great addition to the neighborhood, family, friendly, great portions and friendly staff. The Korean fried chicken here was light and crispy w/o being oily. The sauces were all tasty. If you love spice, the hard case sauce- level three packed a punch and had great flavour. We ll definitely be back.
They are super dog friendly! These are pictures of the food I got my doggo.
Well deserved rating, everything was just delicious and fresh!
Great food and even better service!! We had the Choice Bro and truffle fries which were both delicious. Will definitely be back soon!!
Spectacular fried chicken!
Amazing food and staff as well. My go to fried chicken place
Amazing as always.
Super quick and friendly service. Vibe is excellent, spacious and high ceilings. The food is top quality. Truffle fried chicken and noodle/teokbokki soup is to die for, accompanied by a mini gas stove. Bean bag chairs at select tables and sensory rooms for those in need. Wheelchair ramp and outdoor seating. Vegetarian options: Corn, Fries, seaweed wraps Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at entrance
The service was really strong, the waiter was helpful and made suggestions. The food was very well made. My only complaint is the chicken for 2 , you cant mix and match for the lower price. 2 of the same is $2 cheaper than 2 different..a bit odd. Will go again. Price for the quality was fair
Tender was so tender. Enjoyed everything. Great textures and friendly service. Would definitely come back. Music was a tad loud but i guess i couldve put on the headphones or asked them to turn it down.
I was thrilled to see Sarang open up so close to where I live and happy that the chicken is halal! Ive recently had to adjust my diet so fried chicken is a now a rare treat for me and Sarang didnt let me down! I had the seaweed rolls and the boneless original chicken with soy garlic dipping sauce. Both were perfectly crisp and the chicken meat was tender and juicy. The chicken came with a small side of coleslaw that was a nice complement. Also sampled the Not Fried (Maaate) with squid and bulgogi sauce. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my tastes but I still enjoyed it and the rice cakes that are in the dish. I know it sounds crazy, but what wouldve made the visit even better would be a few more vegetable options to balance out the deep fried foods. Even so, still a great little place and would definitely recommend and revisit.
This place is a hidden gem. The good was Amazing, the service was fabulous and they had sensory boxes for the kids. We are leaving oking forward to coming back soon!
Michael was very welcoming as he explained the menu and informed us of the sensory tools and room available. Ichino was very kind as she served us our food. We ordered Sweet As and Golden Lava Sauce , chef did amazing. Ichino even took our picture for their entrance wall as we got to know them more. Thanks for a great evening.
Whole family came out from this restaurant with a very happy tummy! Love the food, family friendly environment. Prema s customer service is excellent! Strongly recommend visiting the Danforth location.
Fried chicken was delicious! Service was excellent!
honestly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere 5/5.
Was able to walk in and seated right away during their first week of opening. Service was attentive, food was excellent. Ordered the fried chicken, cheesy corn and they all came out fresh.
Checked out this place with a mom friend and loved it. There were 5 boys between us and our server was cheerful and super according . Boys enjoyed the bean bag seat We put in 3 orders of fried chicken with different sauces - all great. Platter for 1 would actually be enough for two ppl if ordered with a side. Fries, onion rings were both delicious . They also have a sensory room which is adorable. Will return! Kid-friendliness: Sensory room and headphones available
Food was amazing!! Chicken was flavourful and juicy, staff were nice. Definitely recommend this place, will be coming back!!
The food was amazing, and the chicken was so juicy
Great service!
Miso garlic is really good
Great atmosphere, fantastic staff and the best part was the food! Parking: Parking in front Food : 5/5 |
I have been to both locations, the food is always great. The kimchi fries were delicious.
The food was amazing. We ordered the platter, Crispy and Savoury . The look of the restaurant has a cozy vibe. Our server, Angel, was amazing, attentive, and made great suggestions Food : 5/5
Food was delicious. Batter was savory and crispy. We got the platter and got two flavours (1) choice bro 1 was a solid choice (2) golden lava had an eggy dorito dust on top of the batter. Both flavours i enjoyed. Between the two, I would prefer the choice bro 1 option. We also got the tornado fries which was basically homemade chips - just fantastic. The platter also came with 4 sauces. All were delicious but enjoyed the homemade mayo sauce and honey garlic one the best. Seating was comofortable and spacious. We sat at the booth section. Theres also bean bag chair dining set-up for larger groups.Staff were great. Our server Angel was knowledgeable and attentive the entire evening. Will be coming back to try other flavours. Parking: Green P parking is 1 min walk north of Danforth.
Everything was great, food was delicious
It was my first time at the new location and the food was amazing and good service
We tried out Sarang Kitchen on the Danforth, a Korean restaurant that s definitely worth a visit. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which set a nice tone right away. The food was excellent we had the corn cheese mayo (rich but not too much), the kimchi and tofu dumplings, and the house special soy sauce fried (halal) chicken. The chicken was crispy and full of flavour, and the portions were generous. Compared to the west end location that s always packed, the extra space here is a big plus. It s spacious, so you can relax without the usual lineups. Great spot for family or friends to hang out. Worth a visit or adding it to your local go-to s. Kid-friendliness: Big space, warm local vibes, bean bag seating.
The portion was really great to share between 3 people.
Came on Halloween and was nice and chill environment. First time I decided to eat in and was very happy I gave it a shot. Was too hungry to take a picture of my chicken but got Sweet As boneless with honey butter fries. Super delicious
What an incredible place this is. We were happy with everything we got, the fries were amazing, must have, all the chicken flavours we got were amazing that it s hard to decide which one we liked best. Most importantly the staff were just an absolute pleasure, I even got to meet Special Olympics powerlifting gold medalist Michael Bandler! 10/10 can t wait to be back
This is my first time at Sarang Kitchen on the Danforth and I had a blast. Located near Donlands station, Sarang Kitchen is the best thing to hit the Danforth in a long while. Featuring fantastic Korean dishes, we tried their original fried chicken and their bulgogi chicken with maate sauce. Honestly, if I could give more than 5 stars for each I would. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, fresh and not oily. Savory but not too salty, it was complemented by pickled veggies and a cabbage salad. The portion for 1 is featured in the image with 8 pieces of bone in chicken. You have the option to do boneless but in my opinion if you want crispy you have to go bone in for the full effect. The bulgogi chicken with maaate sauce was flavorful and had such a nice blend of veggies, sliced potatoes, topped with a heart shaped Korean rice that has a beautiful hint of sesame and is topped with seaweed flakes. I also love the tteokbokki (chewy rice sticks) that are part of the dish. The blend of ingredients adds such a wonderful mouthful with different textures. Spicy lovers will also love this place. Lots of spicy dishes to choose from. Atmosphere is relaxed, vibrant, and inviting. Ill try not to drone on but honestly, this place blows me away with their sensory room and shelf of sensory activities. Customers can use either to fidget and unwind while waiting for their food to arrive. Very child friendly! They also have a social engagement community board with a new question posted monthly. Answer the question for a chance to win a prize. Love this aspect of community engagement. There is also something bigger at play. Sarang Kitchen also asks that you not tip, with a structure built in for staff to be compensated well. Read up on this more when you get to the restaurant because I wont be able to do it justice in this one review. I can only say hats off to the owners for having such a fantastic structure. Lastly, I cant end this post without mentioning the amazing people that work here. It was our first time and Ichino was so polite, friendly, helpful, gracious, and courteous. She really made the experience memorable for me. Without a doubt, this will become a regular hangout for me and my friends! Continued success Sarang Kitchen!
Delicious fried chicken at this new spot on the Danforth!
The chicken in great but the sides are better, try the corn with cheese
Awesome fried chicken!
Friendly staff and delicious food! Definitely recommend
Loved it here will definitely be back!
The food is absolutely amazing! Were definitely coming back! Staff were also so friendly
This place is a MUST try!. Me and my Husband went here and expectations were met!. When it comes to food, service and ambience were way so cool!!!. Definitely we will comeback for more. Kid-friendliness: Sensory box are available for kids
Food was good, service was busy but excellent, tip is discouraged is always a plus
They serve ramen, fried chicken, and beef, but it looks like they were innovative enough to bring out unique, delicious, unexpected tastes. My favorite was the Beef Bolgogi, followed by the fried cauliflower, then chicken
Really good food, even better staff
best staff ever!
Amazing food with even better service! Great atmosphere, perfect for a meal with friends/family!
Amazing spot food was great and angel had such amazing service would definitely recommend trying out the sweet as best of both worlds and choice bro was also a great option
amazing goof Kid-friendliness: good Food : 5/5 |
Lots of chicken flavors to choose from. Looovvee their golden lava sauce, sweet as chicken and squid.
Great place for a group meal!
My mom saw a post about this place on instagram and it was an amazing place. From the moment we walked in, the staff were super helpful and nice. The food was absolutely amazing, we got the Sarang Platter and we had enough even to take home. Definitely will come back!
Excellent
Great food and friendly service
I applaud your courage in selling this!
Amazing food, clean and spacious! The staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back!
We went to the Danforth location last night. There was just nothing about the visit we didnt love. The level of service was absolutely top knotch. Michael was fantastic! The food, the value, room lighting, table lighting, even the bathrooms were excellent. We will be returning, often.
I recently visited Sarang Kitchen near Pape Station and tried the Choice Bros Chicken (boneless) and the K Snacks Platter. The experience was fantastic from start to finish! Choice Bros Chicken (Boneless): This is the juiciest chicken I ve ever had, even better than bone-in options. I highly recommend going for the boneless it s the same price, and it comes with a flavorful coleslaw and a delicious mystery sauce (maybe chipotle?). It s an absolute must-try. K Snacks Platter: The platter exceeded my expectations! The fries were perfectly cooked and definitely my favorite part. The sauce paired with it was out of this world. The atmosphere at Sarang Kitchen is also worth mentioning it s clean and has a relaxed, chill vibe that makes dining here even more enjoyable. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Overall, I d give Sarang Kitchen a solid 5/5 stars. I ll definitely be back!
Fried chicken was great. And so was the service. Our server was very friendly, flexible and efficient.
Nice place and very crispy chicken though a little expensive for fried chicken but definitely worth a try.
The cutest cafe Ive visited so far. We tried hard case fried chicken and fried shrimps. The crisp of the chicken is top notch and food is flavourful just a little pricey. The ambiance is really cute and comfy with all the beanbags etc. Kudos to making a sensory room(first time seen at a restaurant) and last but not the least when their manager took our picture with a polaroid really made my day thank you
Food was excellent, so was the service. Recommend the golden lava.
My friend came here cus he saw it on tik tok after saying he didnt want chicken i think this place is ight
So kind and pleasant. Authentic street food. Tasty. Light.
Great atmosphere, staff and delicious food. Kid-friendliness: Change table available! Food : 5/5 |
The fried chicken and the spicy rice cake stew are excellent. Its great to have another Korean restaurant on this stretch of the Danforth to satisfy our cravings for Korean food. I think its wonderful that they are trying to provide a safe space for all and looking forward to going back
Food is amazing . Platter is a bit of a challenge for 2pax. 4 dips are included in platter unlike BHC hammering ppl with 2dollars per dipping sauce. The squid in the platter is amazing. The fried potato is good too. Toilet is well equipped for the ladies in times of emergency. Will definitely go again, maybe visit the Dufferin one next. This Danforth place is spacious, which is also nice. The Malaysian Sambal Oelek sauce is spicy but don t remind me of home at all tough. But still good!!
Ichino was amazing 10/10
ichino was a friendly server, great experience!
Food was amazing! Our server Ichino was very caring and attentive. Food
Tasty food and great service from a Ichino!
Had a great experience indulging in some awesome guilty pleasure snacks. The fry on the chicken is really good. Very crisp and crunchy even if sauced. And prices are quite reasonable, especially when you consider how they re tip-free. It s also a pretty wholesome enterprise the employees are neurodivergent. Will definitely be going back.
Chicken was crispy and juicy. Original flavour was great, I cant wait to try that other flavours. My son loved the fries.
Food was good - bone in varieties are the way to go especially for the adults. Dumplings were really good and a hit all around ! Mayo Corn was also nice The atmosphere was really nice For a big family we were very well managed Amazing Amazing service !!! The patience with which all of our requests was managed along with 8 kids. Highly recommended for families with kids Dietary restrictions: The chicken is all Halal Kid-friendliness: There s a sensory room for kids
Brilliant food and service. We have picky eaters and they all loved the food especially the dumplings which were a hit with kids all ages. The sensory room is much appreciated and was a welcome distraction for the kids while the adults enjoyed some conversation. Our server Prema was absolutely amazing! She was so hospitable and had great food recommendations for us. She was super patient with the kids in serving them food. It was a five star experience overall, food included! Kid-friendliness: Wonderfully patience staff and so many things in the sensory bin to occupy the kids. The sensory room was a big hit with the kids!
Good food, Good service!
The food was absolutely incredible! Would definitely recommend!
Really good chicken
incredible food and ambiance! 10/10 recommend u check this out :)
Great food and great service!
Great food paired with great service!
We ordered the Hard Case fried chicken platter (level 2 spice) and the spicy rose rice cake stew. Both dishes were perfect level of spice for us. Fried chicken was my favourite dish. It was super saucey, chicken was tender, juicy and stayed crispy. Best Korean fried chicken I ve had so far IMO. We also ordered from their new paw menu for dogs. We ordered the Fried Chimken Platter, Korean Bark-B-Q Set, and two Pawgaritas to share with our two small dogs. Our dogs loved it, even my picky dog. We loved that we were able to bring in our fur babies to enjoy a meal out with us. I also LOVE that they take care of their staff. They pay their staff living wages so tipping is discouraged. I love everything that they stand for and offer. Would recommend and will definitely be back. The food and service was amazing, thank you Ichino and Michael for taking such good care of us.
Great food, great service. Highly recommend. Can t wait to be back.
We loved everything! The food and service was great and the atmosphere was amazing! They re doggo friendly, so met up with a friend and brought our dogs. They re also extremely respectful and accommodating for people that may not feel uncomfortable around them.
Everything was delicious and between Michael and Angel, they were very friendly and helpful this evening! They both made great suggestions and we had a lovely time.
Ordered three platter for one. Tasted so good! Except they re inconsistent with their portions, sometimes they like to give you smaller portion than regular. The kapai i ordered was 70% of the regular portions and looks so small compared to the boneless hard case. The hard case bone-in was also a little smaller than usual but kapai s portions were very dissapointing Not same reviews actually.
I rarely ever write reviews but after such a wonderful experience I knew I had to! We came to Sarang Kitchen for lunch and ordered the seaweed rolls and 3 platters of boneless chicken. The chicken was so juicy, crispy and not too greasy compared to some other franchise Korean fried chicken places. My groups favourite flavours from the best would be the choice bro, sweet as & then snowed under. Not only was the food great but the service was exceptional! I wish I could have gotten her name but our server was so friendly and she was kind enough to take a polaroid photo of our friends. This was the highlight of their day and made them feel very special being on the wall. I also love the story behind Sarang Kitchen and how inclusive the restaurant is for everyone including little fur babies! I highly recommend visiting Sarang Kitchen & will definitely be back soon!
So happy to have stumbled upon this gem of an establishment. Their inclusivity and unique mission is just the cherry on top of the whole place! I came in after a nearby taco spot told my friend and I (with our two dogs) that they had to cancel our reservation as their patio was already shut down. What happy accident that my friend was able to find Sarang, that just opened their second location on the Danforth. Ourselves (dogs included) were welcomed with open arms and were so excited to order the human food as well as food from the Paw Menu! The dogs loved the food, of course, and it was so nice being able to be in a cozy space with all our loved ones (furry ones included). We didn t pop in, but I love the addition of the sensory room. Such a great idea! Special shout out to Ichino who was so kind and attentive to us (and our pups) our whole meal and of course, Micheal who works in the kitchen, who came and said hi to our dogs and had a great conversation with us. I ve told my friends with and without dogs about this place, cannot wait to come back to try more menu options and come for the good vibes. Kid-friendliness: A large space, the sensory room is a great addition as well!
This place was amazing. They have a great doggy menu which my dog loved it and their human food is amazing as well. We had a platter and the portion size was very generous and reasonably priced as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would strongly recommend to try it out especially with your dog.
Really good fried chicken. I would back back.
Highly recommend this restaurant! The food was amazing and very innovative, I tried the Salted Egg Yolk Fried Chicken and it was delicious. I also highly suggest the exploding cheese balls, super tasty. The portions are very generous. The staff is incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful. Angel and Will in particular are very efficient and prompt! Also this restaurant is huge and spacious!!! You ll be able to eat comfortably in your own space. There is also a sensory room and sensory activities provided which is a neat touch. Very family friendly space!
Super friendly staff and delicious food. Sabal oelek was actually spicy and good. Kimchi fries were delcious. If you like spicy fried chicken this is the place.
The food is absolutely amazing! Best Sambal Olek chicken ever! Fries were also seasoned very well~ Were definitely coming back for the spicy chicken challenge. Staff were also so amazing, excellent service. Highly reccomend!!! Vegetarian options: Fries, Onion Rings, Seaweed Rolls
Server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Chicken came out quick for Korean fried chicken, about 20 minutes! Chicken was hot, juicy, tasty.
Fantastically light and crispy chicken, not greasy at all. Definitely the highlight and a single size is plenty for two people unless you want leftovers. Sides are tasty but small. The menu is quite long and could be better formatted for mobile phone screens but otherwise loved the chicken. Friendly service too.
Came with two friends. Had a blast. Food was great and service was incredible.
so happy they opened another location! this place is a lot bigger than the original but the service and quality of the food is the same. cant wait to be back again now that I know this place is so close by!
Fantastic food, excellent customer service and halal!! Dietary restrictions: Halal Food : 5/5 |
Excellent Korean fried chicken. I would say it s better than BBQ Chicken. The Hospitality Included model is a great touch that I think should be more widespread throughout Toronto. Hopefully more restaurants start to adopt this model. I did find it strange that they still had the option on the machine, but I didn t feel bad leaving it as 0 and pressing ok. We ll be back to try the Tteokbokki.
Amazing food, service, and inclusive environment!!
We came here with a large group around noon on a Saturday. Our server was super helpful and made great recommendations and the rest of the staff were so incredibly friendly! I got the fried chicken platter with the Wicked sauce and it was delicious.
Great food and great service! Everything was fast and delicious.
Theres the chicken: Golden and glistening, with a crispy outside and a tenderly juicy inside. Flavours are typical korean fried chicken, except for the golden lava (salted egg yoke sauce) which I got and enjoyed. Also, good portion sizes (the platter for one is super filling). Theres the service: Welcoming and efficient, with no tips needed as its included in the price. And then theres the soul: This place aims to create a safe space for neurodivergent people with its sensory rooms and boxes. It also employs people on the spectrum (was told they offer internships and some of their interns eventually end up working there). While this has nothing to do with the food, this story and mission definitely is what coats this place with a loving vibe. Will be back!
Had visited the Bloor location and enjoyed their fried chicken, but it was too far. So glad they opened a second location closer to me! Their sambal oelek and golden lava flavours are delicious and my favorite ones so far. It s unique compared to other KFC establishments. No doubt will my go-to fried chicken place!
Just walked into a newly opened restaurant on Danforth as we thought of trying out korean food. The place didn t disappoint with the ambience, customer service, and food quality. Although the prices are a bit high, it was worth the try.
Having gone to their first location twice and being absolutely blown away by the amazing food, I was beyond thrilled that we were getting another Sarang Kitchen closer to where I live! I visited with my sister and the chicken was just as good as I remembered. I ordered the sweet and spicy fried chicken platter and it was exquisite. It has the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, all the while pulling off being both tender and crispy. Not to mention it s halal. Everything I ve tried here has been an easy 10/10. The staff is extremely friendly and their hospitality is unmatched. Also, I just love the overall design of the place! I can t wait to visit again!! Dietary restrictions: Halal food Kid-friendliness: Very kid/sensory friendly! Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp and easy access into the building!
Lovely staff, delicious food. A surprise treat from the kitchen on the house!
This was some of the best fried chicken Ive ever had. On the inside, the chicken was perfectly cooked - very tender and juicy. On the outside, I loved the texture and amounts of breading. Combined together, the Original (sauceless) fried chicken was already really great. The other flavor we tried, Choice Bro (soy garlic), was even better. The bit of sauce added a little bit of great flavor without being too much, as well as softening the breading just a little to further add the tender experience. Some may prefer the more crispy sauceless chicken, but I would recommend choosing a sauce. I always very strongly prefer dark meat, and it is often difficult to find restaurants that accommodate this. This place uses dark meat only for their boneless option which is absolutely perfect. Ordering takeout over the phone was easy and the food was ready at the specified time. Everything was well packaged and presentable. The food was at appropriate temperatures. Price to portion sizes were very fair, leaning on the generous side. Their hospitality included model is also a great bonus. I am hoping to dine in soon.
So good! The fried chicken was amazing!! The sambal Flavour was our favourite and we definitely recommend the honey butter fries! Worth the $2!!
Love the messaging of breaking barriers for the neurodiverse community! The food is FANTASTIC! Service was great, highly recommended. Hope they do well in this building that has seen a lot of turnover over the years. Will become a regular! Good luck Sarang! <3
Really great place for families. They have a sensory room and sensory boxes that really help kids relax. Very neat and friendly service. The fries were great and the chicken had a crispy batter but the meat was still juicy. Would definitely dine here again!
The servers are incredibly sweet and the food is INCREDIBLE. I visited the old location often and the new one is just as nice! Definitely recommend.
really good halal option, serving sizes are perfect platter for one can easily be shared by 2 people Dietary restrictions: chicken here is halal!
