10/10 fav take out spot in Little Korea. Kimbap is off the hook. As well is the shrimp Korean sushi.
Really delicious authentic korean food! Tried the cheese tteokbokki there, heavenly!
Walked by and entered by chance and it was the best kimbab in Toronto! Quaint space with friendly service and reasonable price with lots of quantity. Love it!
I normally don’t leave any reviews but I just had to! Their gimbobs were exactly what you would get in Korea. I must say they are the most authentic gimbobs I've tried in Toronto, not to mention affordable prices too!
I didn’t expect this good. I tried many kimbaps around this area but definitely it’s the best. $9 for jaeyukk kimbap. Look at the photo. It’s FILLED 🤝 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 김밥 진짜 이 근방에서 최고 ! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
The kimbaps are truly incredible. They are packed with fillings and flavors. Definitely a hidden gem! They accept cash only, but there is also a e-transfer option. There are limited seating inside as the spot is quite tiny. They also sell banchans (side dishes) for reasonable prices!
Only had gimbap from here but the gimbaps are amazing. They're heavily filled with fillings unlike many grocery store gimbaps that only have 3 atoms of ground beef per bite. They look amazing and taste delicious and you really feel like you're getting your moneys worth because beef gimbap has plenty of beef you can taste. I think even in Korea this level of quality gimbap would be very popular.
New ownership took over in January 2024. Women-run, the owner used to operate Korea House down the street! Got the squid dupbap, a spicy squid stir-fry with onion and cabbage. Lots of squid and generous portion of rice. It was very tasty, would go back to try more dishes. She also makes a variety of side dishes in house (available in a side fridge). The space is small and narrow, but does have seating for dine-in. Walked by and noticed how amazing it smelled, then had to give it a try!
I had to cancel all my orders because the owner lady only asked for cash and no receipts after all the wait. At least inform in advance to not waste time.
I don t understand why The Manna restaurant has to pay taxes when they only accept cash payments.
Quite a long wait and a bit expensive but the food is delicious and worth it
the tuna kimbap here slaps
They dont skimp on the ingredients... theyre delicious so theyre the best value for money and the taste is guaranteed.
Quick and easy experience. The owner was really nice and the price was very reasonable. Everything was prepackaged. Got a couple different kinds of gimbap, japchae, spicy cucumber, kimchi and deep fried seaweed and noodles. Everything was great, and for $30 for a dinner for two this is definitely somewhere I will be grabbing takeout from in the future. Vegetarian options: You could make your entre meal vegetarian if you wanted to without any difficulty. Just get the standard gimbap instead of bulgogi or pork. I am 99% sure the japchae did not have any beef in it. And they had a lot of different kimchi options to choose from. Easy.
They are very kind and friendly, I have already been there3 times. And the food was very good. I will come here more time!!
Little authentic kimbap take-out spot! Probably the best price in the city right now too
Yummy
The owner changed and tuna kimbap and pork rice bowl were served. Its so delicious that I buy it often. The kimchi and side dishes are delicious and the portions are large and the prices are reasonable, so I highly recommend it!!
All dishes are delicious Sundae is awesome!!! Highly recommended!
Best regular kimbap I have ever had.
Amazing food quick and delicious must try. Amazing price as well!
Very friendly Korean ladies. Food is tasty, and the price is much cheaper compared to a lot of other Korean food places.
Delicious kimbap, would go again. Cash only, come prepared to buy seconds because its just that good.
Friendly owner. Excellent food
New Owner! The food is absolutely delicious! Its a small take out gem! Highly recommended! The Gimbap is good! They have tteokbokki and other rice dishes as well such as bulgogi
Just old Korean style tteokbokki
Was walking by after work. The smell of the food led me to this tiny take out Korean food. Ordered beef with rice, tofu with rice and vegetables sushi. Amazing food! Definitely going back and recommending for anyone to try! Vegetarian options: Vegetable sushi, tofu with rice
New owners and the food rocks. I have a lot of nostalgia for this spot - a go to after doctors appointments. Best kimbap in the area hands down. Mostly a takeout place
I ordered tuna gimbap, but after opening the box, I don t see or taste any tuna. I can only taste lots of mayonnaise.
Super lovely owner and great food.
Tiny place with a friendly cook who serves big portions for a fair price. One of my fav gimbaps in the city.
Cute, little place with great gimbap. Have only had the tuna mayo but it was delicious. I also like how the gimbap arent too large and are bite-size.
Obsessed with the tuna gimbap!
Amazing gimbap, made fresh to order and the owner is so sweet. Only takeout
Ordered the tuna kimbap for $8. The lady made it right away, quickly. Tasted great, big portion of tuna slathered on top. Definitely a nice go to for quick takeout.
I had the beef kimbap and it was delicious! Had to do a quick take out so didn t get a chance to dine in. There s a couple of chairs to sit if you dine in, but the place is small. The service is super quick and food is priced well. Will definitely be going back to try some other dishes!
Don t sleep on this hidden gem! It s the perfect inexpensive restaurant just minutes from the park and subway. Staff is passionate and the food is unmatched.
Be aware for anyone plan to order takeout or delivery! Never seen a restaurant package tteok bokki like this! The soup was spilled all over the plastic bag. Also, this is not the tuna kimpab that I used to have. There is no tuna flavour and not really visible as well (looks like 3% tuna and 97% mayo). They should rename to mayo kimbap as it is misleading. Their bulgogi kimbap was also disappointing. Bulgogi filling is not consistent. I think they topped up the meat filling on pieces that was showing the cross section ( ). Other parts of the kimbap didn t have much meat
Best beef kimbap!
Freshly made kimbaps and you can definitely taste the difference. Only wish the bulgogi meat was more evenly distributed.
The sweetest owner in town that makes the best tuna kimbop. They are addictive so make sure you grab add an extra order.
the owner she is very generous very kind foods r delicious.. i had only some cash which wasnt enough for what i ordered. so i was gonna use my debit card but she told me to pay with what i have..! I gotta visit there and order more dishes!
The best genuine Korean bunsik in Toronto Try Jjolmeon and tuna kimbab The Best
Cute little store. Went to grab a quick lunch (beef kimbap) was delicious!
I love this place! Their beef and tuna Kim bap are my favorite, plus the price is right.
One of my favourite places to go to for Kimbap, the prices are just right and the owner is super nice and such a sweet person
Im not sure since when Tteokbokki consists of 10% rice cake and 90% fish cake. I ordered two portion and both had similar amount of fish cake. Also, kimbab only seemed to have the bulgogi and tuna on some part of kimbab. Such a huge disappointment
They open early so when youre hungover you can get your teokkboki earlyyyyy! Also, food was flavourful and yummy! To the person who complained about the ratio of rice cakes to fishcakes ..ignore them! The ratio is perfect and the portions are good!! :)
I ordered tuna kimbap and tteokbokki. To be honest, I was worried that there would be too much tuna in the kimbap... but there was no tuna and only a strangely flavored sauce. I think its tuna and chili kimbap because it only makes you sigh. The tteokbokki is so different from the typical snack bar tteokbokki that I was expecting, so I dont have anything to add.
Its hard to not taste this good.
Came here with some friends and loved the tuna and beef rolls. A true hidden gem.
I went into the restaurant with a couple of friends not knowing where I was going and Slightly disoriented. I had thought I was entering into another mediocre Asian restaurant with what I had observed on the fake brick printed walls in the restaurants Internal design. I had ordered the tuna and beef Kimbop. Well that was one kimbop I tell ya folks. Little did I know I was enlightened with life. I had recently have been suffering from neglect and bullying from friends who took me to this restaurant, and I kid you not my strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, hostility and anger had Miraculously disappeared from my Subconscious mind. The texture, the quantity, the colours, the quality the smell and care that was put into this dish was impeccable. I highly recommend this place to folks looking for a quick bite and especially and life changing experience from a Asian Cuisine.
Delicious homecooked Korean food at an affordable price. It s a one-woman show in this store, but the auntie is so efficient. I usually am not a huge fan of kimbap but hers is really tasty and filling. It s really convenient getting here, it s located just outside Christie station!
I ordered tteokbokki, tuna kimbap, bulgogi kimbap, and oden soup, and it was so delicious that I even called the owner!! The owner is so kind and the portions are so generous! I recommend it!
Delicious food at super affordable prices. This hole-in-the-wall restaurant is powered by a very nice Korean auntie. I got there at least once a month week. I highly recommend ordering a bunch of Gimbap and eating them in the park next door or a sunny day!
The food is always amazing and the owner is so sweet!
Be aware if u order a delivery here - chef doesn t seem to know how to pack properly.. portion was also small when I ordered through UberEats. Not much rice cake in the topoki, rather more fish cakes in there... however food was good. Just wished that there were more food & better packing for the price I paid.
Absolutely love this place! The lady who owns the Manna is amazing and so nice and the food always tastes great!!
I have been through this restaurant several times and very curious about what is selling. Finally have this chance walking into the store. I am really surprised because they sell the best Kimbap I never had and so tasty with reason price. Highly recommend
A hidden gem in Toronto! Stepping in, it feels like I walked right into a Korean mothers kitchen (she was even wearing slippers as she cooked). Very tiny space with limited seating, but the vibe is perfect. I loved how she served me my kimbap and then started on making the bibimbap as I was eating - that egg sizzle! She makes everything to order fresh. Even more impressive is that its a one woman show - she told me her sister comes to help occasionally but its basically just her. The food is delicious and completely worth the price. Youll come for the food and stay for the atmosphere.
This is the only place that sells kimbap around Christy, so I had no choice but to go there. Every time I go, there are so many things I want to say about the service attitude of the owner, but I just pass it over, but this time, I feel like its not really the case, so Im leaving a post. Its common for people to not respond when you say hello when you enter the store. When I visited before, an acquaintance of the owner came by and the two of them had a conversation, so I was just choosing a menu. Then, an acquaintance of mine said that he had a customer, and then he asked me in a really bad tone what he would like to give me. But on this day, I was in a really bad mood, so I said in an irritated tone that I was still stable, and then I looked at the menu again and there was a mirror in the store. He was glaring at me through that mirror. I was about to say something on the spot, but I was so dumbfounded that I just left the menu. But that doesnt mean the food is really delicious, and how can tteokbokki be ruined?? I bought it with my own money, but I didnt feel the need to go to such lengths to be treated this way.
Ive been excited to try the gimbap from this place for a while and it definitely lived up to my expectations! Its a pretty small shop so you can miss it if youre not looking for it. There is only a row of stools for sitting, so I can imagine this place is where people usually do take-outs or eat and go. The portion was generous, and the meat was tender and flavourful. I would definitely come back here again :)
4.5- Ordered from Ubereats, so I cannot comment on the restaurant itself, though I gather it is a small family business. I really enjoyed the rice cakes and fish ball broth. Some of the gimbap unfortunately fell apart quite a bit in the delivery process so it came somewhat mashed up. I didn t really love the cold noodles either. Otherwise, we enjoyed the meal - it was different and quite homey tasting.
I crave their kimbap, and will literally commute all the way to Koreatown when Im in Toronto. However, Ive come by twice in the last month and they were closed despite their hours of operation stating they should have been open.
Delicious and fresh Kimbap. A hidden gem for me! Highly recommend.
Amazing little shop. Their kimbap is amazing and their prices are right!!!
My go-to place for something quick and tasty
Really......I have nothing to say.
Cheap but delicious kimbap! The tuna is super creamy and overall its fresh, made on the spot in front of you. The place is really small tho, just a handful of chairs against a narrow bar table. We ate at the park nearby instead.
Great price and delicious foods!! Excellent for take out as well! 5/5!!
Best restaurant in my opinion in koreatown. The lady is very nice. The food here is very delicious, especially kimbap. Would definitely recommend kimbap. The bulgogi dupbap and the dduk bok ki was also delicious. Polite lady, delicious food, and affordable prices. 11/10
A very lovely hole in the wall
Super inexpensive homemade Korean dishes The lady that works there was so nice
Tiny place. Had a tasty meal take out meal for $7.50 including tax.
