Generous portions of traditional Korean meals in a busy, colorful nook open late.
My husband and I used to come here often, and we visited again on a Friday evening after a long time. It was still just as good as we remembered! The staff was friendly, and the overall service was great. They now use a waiting list machine instead of taking notes, which was a nice touch of new technology. The portion sizes are amazing, and the prices are very reasonable, even though they’ve increased by 50 cents per menu item. Most of the food is above average. Just be aware that there’s likely to be at least a 15-minute wait if you visit during peak meal times.
This was my first experience trying Korean food outside of KBBQ and I gotta say, it was a great first time! Staff was quick and friendly and our whole order came out reasonably fast, I'd say no longer than 20-25 minutes. Prices are good for the portions and sides are included, which was nice. I'd definitely come back here!
it wasn’t as cramped here. i came one person at 1.40pm FAMISHED. was seated. and the side dishes came - so many! and the quantity! and the sesame noodles - i didn’t see that served at other places and i enjoyed it. i ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and it was CRISPY. (i thought i took a photo of it but i didn’t) it looked VERY GOOD THOUGH - better than the picture in the menu…the sweetness got cloying after a while so i had to “dry” the sauce with my rice but other than that the sesame noodles side dish was a standout. also the staff service was good, keep it up!
I came for the food and it did not disappoint. Excellent flavors, fresh and oh so delicious. We got the beef dumplings, kimchi seafood pancake, chicken katsu, beef short ribs and a few other dishes. The beef dumplings were the only thing that fell short but the rest was fantastic. Would highly recommend!
You'll almost certainly need takeout boxes because the portions here are enormous. My favorites were the glass noodles, fried sticky rice, and pan-fried BBQ beef—absolutely delicious. However, I wasn't a fan of the cold noodles, though my friend from Northeast China said they’re authentic. Overall, it's a great spot to check out!
This is a restaurant that truly embodies integrity. Today, when I was paying, my bill was supposed to be just over $13. I took out two $5 bills and some change, not realizing that I had actually grabbed a $50 bill. I even told the cashier to keep the change. The cashier was very cautious and immediately pointed out that I had given a $50 bill, asking if I was sure about not needing change. It was then that I realized my mistake and felt very grateful for their reminder. This experience reassured me of the restaurant's honesty and fairness. I can dine here with peace of mind and fully enjoy the food. Their food is also really delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
Abundantly filling and appetizing, Yummy Korean Restaurant does not disappoint. Upon providing the staff with your orders, they promptly provide banchan (Korean complimentary small side dishes) in preparation to your meals. Atmosphere overall is welcoming. However, due the small size of the restaurant in nature, it’s expected to be put on a waiting list when the place gets busy. Not a total showstopper, but still noteworthy. The food is gracious in portion sizing and as appetizing as it can be. Staff are helpful and approachable. Highly recommend this place.
Had a very pleasant experience. We tend to be a picky and hard to please group when it comes to restaurants but I'm happy to say this place delivers. The location is OK not the greatest. But their food was very nice. The bulgogi and sweet and sour chicken were very good. Everything tastes nice and was tender. Portion sizes and prices are very fair. So far my favorite Korean spot downtown.
Discovered and tried yummys restaurant, service was good and the food tasted good also. Get a bang for your buck for the amount of food that is served. Also got appetizers to add on to your dish.
My first time here. I enjoy my meal today. I had the Bibimbap with bulgogi beef with mango juice. They even throw in appetizers for free together with your meal. The whole food was tasty delicious, healthy that I savior every moment while I was there. U get a big portion for your buck & it doesnt cost a fortune at all. I was amaze of the price & portion size. Is a clean & friendly atmosphere to take your date. I recommend it and will definitely be going back soon.
Very great food for a very reasonable price! The food here was very delicious along with the prices for each dish was excellent! Service was very good, food comes out quickly after ordering and the workers always made sure to not let any costumers feel left unattended. Me and my friend had gone here for some quick food and spotted that it had good prices, we were surprised at the portions of the dishes. We were also surprised on how good the side dishes were, the kimchi alone would ve sufficed lol. I recommend getting the stir-fried rice with kimchi and chicken along with the the deep-fried chicken cutlet.
not very yummy
A very nice place since it is very traditional Korean, the flavors and service are very good, the prices are affordable, it is a very good place to go alone or with a group of friends, it is totally worth it
Amazing food that is fairly priced for a restaurant located downtown. The side dishes are some of the best I ve had and you can ask for a refills. Will come again.
Best side dishes
What an incredible experience. Very good. I highly recommend it. Great service.
The food portion is huge, specially given the price! The food quality is amazing, one if the best Korean food places in Toronto. Dietary restrictions: They are very helpful with dietary restrictions, I went with a friend who has a lot of restrictions and they were very accommodating.
Ordered 2 meals on ubereats today and that side dish (bean sprout & kimchi) are normally fresh but today it tasted like it s expired.. you guys can t give customer food like this .. I normally come every week and order often but now I ll come support you guys once every 3 month.. I now have a tummy ache.. why hurt such a business like this?? I always gave tips even when it s take out but today you guys have ruined my appetite
Don t get me wrong .. this place tastes amazing when picking up but today I ordered on ubereats.. the sides that it comes with .. (kimchi & beansprout) today tasted EXPIRED that is because after the first bite I already noticed so that went to garbage and my chicken felt it wasn t a full box .. it seem to have 90% of chicken and 10% seem so empty on top.. I miss the old workers who are on point .. I just don t know if they changed chef or not but 1/10 and will not come back for another 3 month
One of my favourite places. The service is always good. The food is delicious. Cheese Ramen tteokbokki is a must try.
Among some of the rudest staff I have ever had to deal with, apparently they cant give any estimates of time, if you can ever track one of them down to ask, be careful though if you get in their way theyll just push you and then act like its your fault for trying to get your order thats supposed to be ready 30 minutes ago... But for some reason still isnt... Honestly, stop taking orders if you cant handle them cuz this is a sure fire way to lose customers not retain them.
The biggest portion, lowest price, and most yummy korean food. They have few tables and wait time can be very long but worth it!
Very unassuming location but wow the food, the service was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable and worth every bite. We highly recommend this restaurant.
This Korean BBQ was something. Everything tasted great. Very helpful and polite server. Food was freshly cooked right in front of us. I would go there again.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Excellent food and service for very reasonable prices. Go early or you will have to wait a long time for a free table. We went for dinner just before 5pm and did not have to wait for a table. Best bulgogi and fabulous glass noodles. The kimchee is excellent as well. I cant say enough good things about Yummy Korean Restaurant. Its fabulous!
One of the best Korean restaurants in Toronto. Low price, generous portion and high quality dishes. I love most of the dishes here, and they are very generous on the side dishes.
Delicious and affordable! Make sure to make a reservation, or wait for a while to get a seat as it is super popular with locals!
Had the kimchi rice from Uber eats and it was the most pathetic. By far the worse Kimchi rice I ve tasted, for some reason it tasted like it was made with too much tomato sauce
Dishes were so tasty and fresh. Def will go back!
So yummy. High recommended
My favourite restaurant in Toronto. The menu has a variety of food and it comes with a good price as well. The foods are absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for dinner.
Absolutely wowed by the ratio of price to portion to taste of the food. The menu was so huge that it was very difficult to pick our food. We got the japchae, tteokkbokki, sweet and spicy fried chicken, bulgogi on a hot plate, chicken katsu and kimchi fried rice with chicken. Everything exceeded our expectations. Everything was so fresh and flavourful. I had also asked them to make the food less spicy as my tolerance is quite low and they did that perfectly, hence I was able to enjoy every single item! The dishes were all under $15. Absolute bang for the buck. And believe me the portion sizes are huge! I went with two others and we had to take most of the food for takeout. With tax and tip the total came to $75 for 4 dishes. The restaurant is also located at a very convenient spot, only a 2 min walk away from the subway station. I cannot wait to try out more things from their amazing menu. It s safe to say we will be coming here a million more times. Also, you get 6 complimentary side dishes and yes you can ask for refills!!! And needless to day they were all very delicious! Service is also very good, lovely friendly staff!! Just WOW!!! These pictures are from multiple visits. P.s. It is a very busy restaurant so be prepared to wait for a table especially on weekends.
Staff were super kind, attentive, and prompt with their service. Food was great apart from the kimchi fried rice, which was in our opinion was a bit too sour to be palatable. They were super understanding and comped it off our bill. To the server that helped us out, thank you, you did an amazing job! Would definitely come back.
Bring your appetite, this place is good and not that expensive.
its pretty yummy, but its not good value. $32.50 for kalbi and it was 70% onions.
Amazing food! Popular place, so expect a wait to get a table. Food : 5/5
It was great. Generous portion, delicious food, good service, very reasonable. We ll be back again!
Sooo good
The gamjatang is top notch, great price too.
Great food yummy and delicious. Fast service and very kind staff. Took like 10 min to wait to be seated, food given with 10 minutes. And the unlimited sides was
Updated October 2024 Service has improved and timing to get your food is better. The food is always consistent and flavorful. --- Yummy is a pleasant surprise with good quality, big portions and low pricing. The Bulgogi on rice ($12) had a nice hint of smoke flavor but was dry. The noodle with red sauce and fish cake ($12) was a generous serving. Seafood pancake was my favorite - extra crispy and crunchy, although took time to come out. Every table here is a large booth with high back rest, gives you lots of privacy. Very low price point, and 10% discount when paying cash. This has become my new go to for K-food. Highly recommend.
Ordered via Uber eats. Toppings and serving size was good however the rice was extremely wet.
Food was good, amount is ample and satisfying. Price of Gamjatang was cheaper among other Korean restaurants.
Really delicious Korean food with good portions. We keep on coming back to this place even though it gets crowded during dinner time.
Food was great! I had the kimchi beef with squid, delicious
We have 6 peoples came to this place for dinner , we reach here around 7:30pm and the place was crowded , we had to wait for few minutes. However the food was worth waiting for. Weekends after 7:30pm is busy time so if you like to visit I suggest you to go before 6:30pm .
It s really yummy. The portions are big and very affordable.
Hands down the best kimchi fried rice ive ever tried.. specially the with the beef. could eat it everyday if I could Update: I moved houses in Pickering and saddened that I wont be able to eat their kimchi fried rice. If you ask me on a deeper level. This specific location has the best kimchi fried rice Ive tried. Sometimes I think about it. It really became my comfort food. When I used to live near gta area I would usually buy the kimchi fried rice atleast 2-3 times a week. I love it so much that im thinking about it at 4:33 AM
The service here was always been just okay. Maybe it s due to the amount of customers even on weekdays. All the sides were delicious. Order the kamja tang (pork broth) no spice. Normally would go with the spiced options, but couldn t handle any spice this day. I will come back another time to try. My friends also order the tofu soup and enjoyed their dishes as well. Update: Came back and my impression still hold the same with the service, sides still hold strong. Our order did take about 20mins to come out after our order was place. Tried their most popular item which was the Spicy Chicken Bulgogi and i definitely understand why it is.
Food was great and very affordable. Worth every penny.
Their sweet and spicy chicken is truly outstanding. Its incredibly crispy and bursting with flavour, making it a must-try for anyone craving delicious Korean food. Comes with rice and side dishes. $17++
New rule : After waiting 40-45mins, we were guided to our table which we realized it was a shared table which we politely refused, and then the server proceeds to tell us the new rule after we waited that if we wanted a different table we would have to wait back at the end of the queue, which was obviously not happening.. absolutely ridiculous behaviour & for such an absolute joke of a rule; I can only imagine the person who decided to implement it.. HA, will never return again. Absolute joke of a place!
Very tasty food! Quick service
Fire food at a cheap price
Delicious food, great portions and prices! Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options, some vegan options. Food : 5/5 |
This place is awesome! Came in with a group of 6 around 3:30pm on Saturday and we were seated within a few minutes at a booth that fit us perfectly. We got 4 dishes to share: bulgogi bibimbap, pork donkkaseu, tteoboki (the sweet, non-spicy one), and a soft tofu, pork, and dumplings stew. Everything was delicious, the tteoboki and donkkaseu were definitely the highlight! The portions were awesome and we did not have to order any more food. You cannot split the bill here which is no big deal, it came to around $12 for each of us after tax + tip which is unheard of nowadays! Will definitely be back.
They have a wide variety of dishes with great portion sizes and very reasonable prices. Everything we tried was great!
The store is spacious and comfortable. All the staff are friendly and the waiting system is good. Rabokki was a little salty, but the side dishes and gamjatang were overall delicious. Ive heard that the cold noodles and kkanpunggi are delicious, so I plan to visit again in the future to try them.
Really wide selection of classic dishes at a great price. The gamjatang is excellent.
My fav go to korean spot
Usually, I order their spicy bulgogi online, which is very tasty with generous portions. Finally visiting their restaurant, I found the staff nice and friendly. I tried other items on the menu, and they were delicious with large portions . Finally they have digital waiting list!!
Excellent place, Amazing food , unmatched attention , our first time in this place, we will come again before we leave the city
A fun Korean restaurant which has impeccable service. Food was average - not wild, not bad either. Very reasonable food though. Ordered the sweet and spicy fried chicken - 2/5 Potato pancakes- 3.5/5 Stir fried chicken bulgogi - 4/5 Hot stone bibimbap - 3/5
Great food but service seems a bit rush. Ventilation is not very good, most of the food smells are trap inside the restaurant.
We enjoyed the gamjatang and bulgogi. Serving is generous. The staff is friendly and gave us additional appetizers.
Got the pork bone soup, appetizers were really good and service was great and efficient even when crowded. Food was definitely better than average combined with the cheap prices, definitely would go again
was not very impressed with the food, but the price for them was very affordable! I got the stone plate bulgogi & kimchi but it just tasted really strongly of gochujang without much flavour unfortunately
Pretty good and I enjoyed the name of the restaurant. Very apt. Got the cold noodles and super tasty. Never had them before so I was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed them. Very skeptical at first but it s nice on a hot day. Pretty cheap too.
Love this place. Food is delicious. Price is fair. Can t think of anything bad about this place. Would 100% recommend.
Reasonable price, great food
This simply is a Koreatown staple and has been consistently amazing for years.
Its a good place for filling your belly
Huge portions, full korean flavour, delicious banchan served immediately. It s a popular spot so expect a queue.
The food here is delicious and the prices are pretty decent, but the service needs some improvement. When I went, the place was very crowded, and my family and I had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated. After being seated and choosing what we wanted, we waited another 15 minutes for the waiters to take our order. Apparently, we were supposed to write down our orders ourselves, but no one informed us?? They seemed to expect us to already know this.
Side dishes are so good
Second time here and the idea was just to have beer (they have the big Sapporo cans) and dumplings. But at the time we arrived was 3 people ordering the pork that was sizzling and smells spice and delicious. So we change our mind and asked for that. And oh yeah not disappoint it at all. And the the Delicious snacks they give you, the Kimchi, glass noodles ufff just yummy as the name of the restaurant.
Delicious
Great Korean food and a reasonable price. Try the soon doboo. This has been a staple place for me. Even though I dont live in Toronto I go back here when I get the chance.
One of the best korean foods with great service
Food was proper. Best korean food in the city. Portions were so big it made me feel like I was eating at an all you can eat. Meals are so flavourful. Sides are tasty. I ll be back no cap.
My favourite place to get Korean food! They are always fast, affordable, and consistent. Ive never had a bad experience here! :) I love the potato pancake, tofu bibimbap, and tteokbokki. Vegetarian options: There are many veggie options including potato pancake, tofu bibimbap, and more! All of the side dishes are also veggie.
Yummy Korean Food, youre so yummy! bibimbap!!!
great prices. But the food always hurts my tummy... The service is mid.
Yummy-est Korean I ve had
I love love this restaurant!!! Amazing food, great portions, really affordable prices and the waiting is reasonable. The only downside is the loud music but other than that, it s an amazing place!!!
Consistently delicious food with great portion. And the Price is right. The only downside is you have to line up during peak hours.
Great food, great price, always a huge line up.
A really long waiting time during busy hours, but their foods didn t disappointed me! Very good!
This is my go to Korean restaurant even though I live in the GTA! It is absolutely delicious and authentic! Everything you get tastes amazing! The prices are great, portions are huge, service is fast and punctual when you call for take out. Trust me when I say it s good! I lived in Korea for 2 years and have tried many Korean restaurants in Toronto and GTA. This is my favourite!
So yummy for Korean food. I alway oder number 52 with squid. They so busy Food
This place has great food and service. I would recommend it to friends.
Best Korean Restaurant we ve tried so far! Three meals for about 65$ and we still get to take home some leftovers! They literally serve YUMMY Korean dishes! Good customer service too! Beef glass noodles, tang soo yum, and spicy stir fried beef are the best ones so far! Still our number one choice of Korean restaurant!
Good atencion, good food! All what do you need for a awesome lunch!
The food is good and reasonable but the service is bad. We ordered before few tables around and our food came out after theirs
I approve as a Korean!
Good food, unfortunately the A/C was only turning on for a few minutes every half hour or so, so it was super hot and humid in the back seating area
Tasty food!
Really good food and cheap! Love potato pancake and fried pork
The kimchi chigae is SO good. It s on the sour side which makes the flavour so bomb. Would order again!
Best Korean place in town. Comfy place for 2-4 people . Food is delicious . I really recommend bibimbap which has so many flavors on it. Price is very reasonable. I will def come back again
I love this place I go here all the time and they serve the best Korean food. The workers are so polite and the food is absolutely delicious. The prices are amazing for the size. I got the bulgogi noodles and bibimbap and it was so worth it !
Amazing service , delicious meal. I liked how they helped bbq it , I would have messed it up. THANK YOU,WILL come again!!
Good and cheap food but the line up was quite long, sometimes you even cannot open the door. People put their names on a waitlist book but it s very easy to cut in line, they don t recognize if you are the actual customer on the list and name could be inserted at the very bottom of the page to skip the line.
Absolutely delicious food. Reasonably priced. They give you very generous portions. Food
Muddy
Easy casual and fairly authentic Korean restaurant.
delectable spot in bloordale if you re having the itch for korean food. food was brought out relatively quick and full of flavours!
I come here often and they have delicious food! At an affordable price
Really lives up to the name. Portions are huge & prices are cheap!
Always late for pickup order making
The food at yummy s restaurant is so good and the side dishes are so delicious .i have recommended some people to this restaurant and they all liked it I can t wait to come back to eat more yummy foods
Super cheap, tasty, and large portion!! One of the few places in downtown Toronto where I can spend less than $20 for a meal and still have enough leftover for tmr lunch. Recommended for large group as well, the tables can sit up to 8-10.
Came here with my permanent roommate at 5 pm because I was hungry. We didn t expect the place to be busy but we only managed to get one of the last free tables. By the time we left at 6, there was a lineup. We ordered the sizzling beef short ribs and sweet and spicy chicken which came with side dishes and rice. Portions were decent for the price and the food was delicious. Overall, a great place to get a casual meal in a cozy and clean environment.
Absolutely loved this place. The kimchi fried rice is outta this world. The food was amazing, not too expensive, the service was quick and friendly and the bulgogii dishes are pretty amazing too. I 10/10 recommend this place.
Is my 2nd time in this wonderful place, very recommended.
The lineup was quite long to get in. The food that we ordered was pretty mediocre. The flavour was okay but the squid bibimbap has way too much rice compared to everything else. It was pretty filling because of it, therefore making it feel like you re getting more bang for your buck. It is a pretty cheap eat. The dumplings were okay nothing special. The workers just neglected us the entire time, understandably they were pretty busy. The side dishes were okay too. I kinda imagine this would be the quality you d find in like a food court.
A great place to fufill your korean cravings. A great vibe overall, with great service. The poeple who work at the restaurant are respectful. The handwroking staff prepare exquisite meals that are like none other. The food had reminded me of my Korean Auntie who would cook for me every time I was there. Very authentic. A must try and a amazing recommendation.
Ive had kimchi fried rice at various restaurants in Toronto, and its one of the most generous and delicious ones Ive tasted! As a Korean, I highly recommend it!
This place is great. The restaurant name is great, because its true. Yummy and cheap!! Its a nice comfy place for 2 -4 ppl. The tables are nice even if its only 1 or 2. If you come when it is busy, you have to wait at the front but the service is pretty fast and the one girl with the glasses is always very polite with me. I appreciate it very much. Food is delicious! Cheaper than majority of Korean restaurants Ive been to. Great value for your dollar. New young gentleman with glasses also very polite. Had a 35 min wait on Saturday evening, but is expected during the weekend. Weekdays are not as busy as I was told by the waitress. Will be back soon. Was superb.
Very busy location - be prepared to wait outside for a table. Food was good, but not that good for the wait. Service was good considering how busy they were.
Very delicious pork bone soup and kimchi fried rice !!! Reasonably priced. Was very busy so the table wasnt cleaned properly.
Yummy Korean Food Restaurant lives up to its name, Yummy indeed! They offer decent portion sizes for delicious Korean cuisine. Despite the long wait times, the experience is well worth it. They have a lot of space with their booth setup comfortably accommodating groups of six (10 booths), an additional two-three seater (3 booths) and one U-shaped section available in the back. The waiting list on a notepad allows guests to easily add their names and party size. The staff are very attentive and efficient service ensured a pleasant dining experience. The option to pay by credit card or cash. Despite a high volume of delivery and pickup orders, the food arrived promptly. During our visit, we ordered the stone bowl bibimbap with fried egg, sundubu-jjigae (Soft Tofu Soup) with seafood, and steamed pork and chive dumplings. The portion sizes were generous, and the dishes were flavorful. The stone bowl bibimbap had a decent amount of rice, while the soon tofu soup was filled with calamari, small shrimp, mussels, carrot, zucchini, and watercress. The pork and chive dumplings were served with two delicious dipping sauces (spicy vinegar soy sauce and sweet soy sauce). Also, the side dishes are very delicious ranging from their kimchi, spicy radish, potato and bean sprouts.
Such a great spot, I came here after a trip to Korea because I was missing the food. This definitely hit the spot, the staff were so nice and knowledgeable. They have an extensive menu with all the staple, also they have all the good banchans.
Best pork bulgogi!! Also loved their sweet and spicy chicken, must try!!
The best Korean food I have ever tasted in Canada. Quite an amazing food experience from presentation to exquisite taste. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to try amazing quality Korean food or amazing food in general. 5/5 !!!!!
I love the food, and the price is amazing, just not a fan of the atmosphere. It all feels very rushed, from the music to the staff. I truly love the food tho, maybe take out is better for me. Food
Best Korean food I had, better than all the ones I had in SF and LA. Ordered 52 and 63, totally impressed by the taste. Next level Korean cuisine for me. Would love to revisit! [Update; careful with the spice level if you have not been exposed to spicy food frequently...
The pork bulgogi and sweet & spicy chicken were incredibly yummy!
A very popular local restaurant and for good reason. We had the grilled short ribs, kimchi seafood pancake, I forgot what soup, peach soju, and spicy ricecake. Each one had a wonderful rich taste and came piping hot. The rice cake, admittedly, is a slow burn in terms of spiciness. Youll have fun in the beginning with the tanginess but then soon you wont be able to feel your lips lol. Service was quick and accommodating, even in busy time which is admirable. The line to get in never truly disappears during dinner time, suggesting its really popular. 10/10 reasonably priced and would come again.
The food here was amazing!! I got bulgogi on a hot plate and spicy pork bone stew! The food was absolutely delicious and hit every spot. The place itself is very small, and they have a wait list system on paper if it s very busy. They won t call you back via phone when your tables ready so don t leave. Food came quite fast and all together. As mentioned early I got the bulgogi on a hot plate and spicy pork bone stew. Both was delicious and also both were big in size. I did not finish the bugolgi and took it home to eat later that day. There is no parking lot, you will need to park on the street or a paid P. Taking the TTC is super easy! Get off at Christie or Bathurst station and it s a short walk!
Whether going in person or ordering through food service apps, Yummy is consistent with their great quality. Usually attending the restaurant in busier times leads to quite a wait so be mindful in attending earlier. Having recently ordered through the app I was happy in receiving our orders alongside their appropriate side dishes. Food quantity is fair at the price and even with rising costs, the restaurant offers one of the better deals. The beef Bulgogi here has become one of my go-tos.
Pork bone soup is delicious and filling
Best Korean food in the GTA!
Best value for your $ in Toronto for takeout. Not just Korean food, not just Asian food in general, best value+delicious for eating out.
Amazing! The food is fresh, authentic and savor-worthy. Prices are great, staff on-point. Happy tummy!
Very tasty food. Our seafood kimchi pancake was perfect - nice and crispy and it wasnt too spicy (I have a low-ish spice tolerance and found it okay even though it has 1 chilly next to it on the menu). I like their hot stone bibimbap, so have ordered it each time Ive visited. Ordered a shrimp bibimbap this time and I wasnt disappointed. Came with lots of rice and vegetables. The shrimp was perfect, nice and juicy. I managed to get the rice golden brown (yay!) I tried adding a bit of the soy sauce that came with the pancake to the crispy rice and thought it tasted pretty good too. They provide generous portions, and Ive had to ask for a small container to take home my leftovers (mostly rice, so I plan to make myself a stir fried rice for next days lunch). Both times I visited, our group had to wait for a table. They keep a waitlist (notebook and pen) near the door, so make sure to write down your name and how many people are in your group (Tip #1: DO NOT write down your phone number; everyone can see it and they dont phone you, so stay within earshot. Tip #2: 10% discount if you pay by cash). They have booths of different sizes from 2 people to large groups of 10-14 (maybe more? Depends on how close you want to sit to each other?) Only down side is the kitchen smell that clings to you after you leave. Parking: Finding street parking can be difficult considering its Bloor Street, so I wish you luck. There are several Green P parking lots if you dont mind walking a bit. Id suggest taking the TTC since the restaurants a stones throw away from Christie Station.
Good service. Good side dishes, pancake is so so.
Cheap. Big food portion. Good taste.
I really like this place, been here three time. Now, this is my favourite Korean restaurant
The portion of the dishes were generous in comparison to the price, but strictly speaking of quality here disappointed me as my friend highly recommended and waited around 40 mins before sitting. Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles) was not chewy enough, Crispy chicken was okay but the outside was a bit too oily, more grease than whatever chicken juice is. I ll go with Sizzling Plate next time.
Popped into Yummys Monday , January 09/24 night to warm up on a snowy/rainy night in Toronto. We were appreciative of the fast service, the tasty sides and the delicious food. I ordered the pork cutlets(59) and my husband had a hot pot special. They were wonderful. Iris our server gave us her top choices(59(pork cutlets). 69(soup) and 28(pancakes.) SO if you are overwhelmed by the over choice just ask the server Weekends there are long lineups outside Yummys as they are very popular but we lucked out because it was a miserable night but we left Yummys fully satiated and happy. Parking: just across the street, paid for the parking but free parking up the side streets Kid-friendliness: a few families and very friendly atmosphere
I absolutely love the food here. However, the servers are no joke. I have been there multiple times so I don t expect a lot from the servers. I asked the bill to the server and then see brought the machine. I noticed that there was no option of tip which surprised me a little. So when I checked the bill, I found that she herself added 18% tip. I found it seriously disrespectful. I usually tip but I believe it s up to the customer to put in the tip even if it s mandatory. I myself work as a server and seeing this kind of stuff makes me surprised.
I like the food here but the girl waiter with glasses had a very bad attitude because she kept interrupting me when I was explaining to her that we didnt know we needed to put our names on the waitlist. She continues to have a very bad attitude. The other staff are very nice and do their jobs very well.
Amazing food. Great staff and prices are amazing. No wonder why there is a huge lineup.
The food is very good, the price is so cheap and I like the service here
This is a place where you can meet friendly staff and eat delicious Korean food. The price was very reasonable, all the side dishes were delicious and varied, and refills were available, so I was very satisfied. The portion size was so large that we packed up the leftovers!
Does the food hold up to the name of the restaurant? Yes. Yummy Restaurant has huge portions, good food and manages to stay quite affordable. There are is a drawback though, the thing is that service can sometimes be hit or miss. Not enough to really make the experience horrible but definitely should be stated. I guess another small issue is since the place is a little smaller, you might have a wait some time for a table specially if you come at a busy hour. Everything else is pretty solid given the circumstance. The price for the food is quite good so I recommend you at least try this place.
Wonderful food and very cheap compared to other spots!
Not worth the price and is very low bar Korean. Speaking from someone who has lived in Korea, just oiled down, greased up poorly prepared meals.
Food was outstanding Service was very Korean expected as they more with the auto service and restaurant was a bit busy, but overall great experience Food
Popular place for late night Korean food. Just a few steps from Christie station. Usually packed & not much room to wait inside, so expect to hang around outside the restaurant. Great portions for the price with plenty of side dishes. Food is your standard Korean fare, but quite good considering the price.
Food here was delicious and very well-priced. The service wasn t the best but still worth the visit.
I didnt like sweet and sour chicken as my taste isnt of sweet chicken but other then that, everything was great. Sides were tasty too.
The best korean restaurant in korean town in Toronto. Good food and tasty. Very recommended to come and try the food.
Best korean restaurant in Toronto
Food was great but service is really bad. I tried giving less tip because the server s service is so bad but she keeps insisting that we have to give her more. It ended up with her pressing the machine by herself because we refused to give her the tip that she demanded.

One of my top favorites! Great food and honestly, best prices!
Lovely place! The food was amazing and such amazing value for its price!
Could not remember if I reviewed this plave, but I will do so anyway! We have been coming to Yummys even before their relocation and had always ordered the Spicy Chicken Bulgogi, and they never disappoint! We would come here again as part of our coming down south tradition. 10/10
Delicious food, huge portions, and amazing prices?? What more could you want out of a restaurant!!!
Really tasty. Fast good service.
Prices have gone up over the years but it s still good value. Large portions, always tasty, my favourite in koreatown.
The food is exactly like the restaurant s name. It is sooo good. They are open late and the staff are so kind. They don t take too long to make your food. Just only 10-15 minutes. If it s longer, they re just making your food extra yummy. But seriously, if you wanna make an impression on your first date, come here and no matter what they order, everything is good
