Reyna on King is the “cool kid” on the block. Designed as a lunch spot during the day, at night the lights go down and the cocktails start flowing. The evening snack and cocktail bar attracts guests looking for fun snacks, eccentric cocktails while listening to 90’s hip hop tunes in the coolest vibe on King East, just steps from the historic Toronto Distillery District.
I love everything about this place—the food, atmosphere, and service! The only complaint is that the portions are much too small for the price, I left still not satisfied. Would still come back to try their other items! 1. Reyna salad: expected there to be more of each ingredient, the large size was still pretty scant 2. lamb baklava: my favourite—so unique and and absolute delicious, never had anything like it before! balance of savoury, sweet, crispy, nutty 3. octopus: tender and delicious romesco! the potato chips were a bit strange though, I expected potatoes 4. tacos: again could use more toppings as it was small for the price, but had a good amount of shredded chicken. best part was easily their house-made flatbreads!
Can't say enough. The food was perfect, cocktails were next level, and the service and atmosphere were amazing. Carlos made our night a great experience, as did the other staff we had the pleasure of interacting with. We had the lamb baklava, spanish fries, Lebanese tacos and halloumi souvlaki. Everything was perfectly prepared, delicious and well thought out. Can't wait to return.
Reyna is a must whenever I visit Toronto! It’s one of the reasons we prefer Toronto over Chicago for the food scene lately. The ambiance, the drinks, the food— it’s all outstanding. Exceptional is probably the best word to use. The owner is a delightful and amazing woman and I love to see her succeed because she absolutely deserves it. She has created something great and we are lucky to have the opportunity to experience it in this lifetime. It was the obvious choice for my special birthday dinner!!
Very cozy place with a calming atmosphere. They incorporate various foods from all over the Mediterranean (even niche ones) which is something I really appreciated. The selection of fries is intriguing as I had never had the chance to try things such as date-ketchup before. One detail to keep in mind is that brunch (at least on sunday) goes on until 4pm
What a cute place. Visited this restaurant today the first time. It's a cozy adorable restaurant. Everything I ordered on the dinner menu was delicious. The server who was attending us was very sweet and friendly, he made sure we were taken care of. I will definitely go back again someday to try the brunch menu as it is so tempting. Also, I heart the interiors of the place. So lively!
I would love to give 10 stars!😍 This place is absolutely amazing! The interior at Reyna is out of this world—so beautiful and stylish!!! The food is super tasty, and the cocktails are on point. But the real highlight is the staff! These guys made our evening: they’re attentive, fun, and just great to be around. Carlos is the best—huge thanks to him for an incredible time! We’ll definitely be back!🧡🧡🧡 Thank you!!!!!!
Carlos at Reyna in Toronto exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. All the staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our dining experience memorable. Every dish we ordered was full of flavour, and the presentation was top-notch. We left feeling incredibly satisfied and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this gem in Toronto! Toronto continues to be foodie destination! Visiting from Michigan.
A cozy little spot on King St E perfect for small plates and rounds of cocktails! I really liked the ambiance and vibe of this place. It was perfect for a little catch up session with friends over a cocktail while popping bites of food. I really enjoyed the manchego croquettes, grilled prawns, falafel bites and lamb baklava (so basically all of their mezes) lol The service was okay i felt like they could’ve been more attentive. From asking for cup coasters, more napkins to reminding them about my food after waiting for a while I felt like the service could have been better. Overall the food, drinks and ambiance was enjoyable!
If this is what the outside of the restaurant looks like, I can only imagine the state of the kitchen :s
Very lovely restaurant within walking distance of the Distillery District. The food and service were good but some of the chairs were wobbly and should likely be replaced.
Came in for date night on Saturday. I was instantly greeted by Carlos the manager. As we sat down our server Taz instantly welcomed us and walked us through the food and cocktail menu. She was very knowledgeable and very sweet! All recommendations were paired amazingly with our drinks. We had the Lebanese tacos, shawarma platter and the grilled prawns. The Maharaja was a great recommendation as I asked Taz for a sweet drink! She knew exactly what I wanted and payed attention to details. The playlist was great with a mix of RNB and hip hop. PJ the bartender, Taz and Carlos created an amazing environment and you can tell they love their job and working together. The energy was great! I will definitely be returning!
I was invited here for brunch on Sunday morning and had a really great time. Excellent brunch they put on. Food was delicious!! Carlos took good care of us and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. We look forward to coming back and checking out their dinner!
Poor food. Calamari was undercooked. Picana beef waaaay too salty. Scallop crudo was a watery mess. Ricotta fritters were lazy. Worst part.. as we are waiting for our next course, the wait staff sprays lemon bleach on the vacated table next to us, filling our mouths and nostrils with cleaner. Can someone tell them not to spray tables so close (and in the direction) of diners???? The upside... good cocktails. Princess Jasmines Kiss was original and tasty. Not worth it... find somewhere else.
The food tasted very good except the portion sizes were half of what I expected, especially for the price. My halloumi souvlaki was the size of an appetizer. The decor is very nice, the lights were very dim - would prefer if the lights were a bit brighter. If the portion sizes increase, I would return.
Food was excellent - it is tapas-style so be prepared for ordering several plates off the menu. The food was very tasty and the entire group of five of us loved it. It s a 15 minute walk from the St Lawrence Market and well worth it. It s a small place so you most likely will need reservations on a more popular night but we were seated right away at 7:30 on a weds night. Highly recommend if not a bit pricey
New review don t know what happened to Reyna but it s not a good thing. Probably new ownership. When the bar keeper and manager (?!) say they would drink the bath water of their attractive coworker s bath water after having sent her to toe up her hair, loud enough for me to hear it bad style. The way they treated both customers but more so their staff really gave me the icks. Old review: Amazing place and my go to for drinks with friends/ date night/ to chill by myself. All staff is super nice and the cocktails are a++
Hi Reyna on King! I came in Saturday night with a couple of my girlfriends. The ambience, the playlist, the manager, the servers. 10/10. The moment I walked in I was greeted so kindly by the hostess. As I was seated the manager made it his mission to ensure that we ate everything that he was raving about. And how was the food he recommended? 10/10. He was knowledgeable and passionate not only about the food but the drinks as well. This is definitely a spot for girls night. We will be returning. Thank you Carlos and team for this experience!!!! I hope you see you all again.
Came in on Thursday and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I ll definitely be back! I also want to highlight Carlos, the manager his attentive service really enhanced my visit and ensured that my friends and I had a memorable first time.
Everything about Reyna is spot on. From the vibes to the food, but above all, the service - it s such a great time. Everyone is beyond friendly, and the food is delicious. I ll be back every week.
We had brunch at the King location. The place is cute but the food isnt very good. I had the short rib grilled cheese. It was very heavy and salty. The service was a little slow. The decor is very nice.
For a lone traveller, this was an amazing evening, and cant wait to go with friends next time! Highly recommend any of their signature cocktails, the lamb baklava and the croquettes!!
The food was good, but it took about an hour for it to arrive (we had three dishes).
Love the concept! We tried a few different shareable dishes, and all were delicious, with the lamb baklava being a standout. The drinks menu was also excellent
LOOOOVED!! We stumbled upon this place unplanned, on our way to a concert.. amazing atmosphere! I really enjoyed their French margaritas, falafel Lebanese tacos, and their Italian fries... special shout out to the staff, including a thank you for our shot and for playing a song by the band we were going to see..thank youuuu!!!!
AAA I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself at this restaurant. The food was delicious great spot and a great place to take your date. There was a manager there Carlos I think that was his name. He was attentive. He came around to the table. He made me feel like like Frank Sinatra himself was sitting in the restaurant so thank you for that even though I m of no importance, great spot will be going back
Just popped in for an after dinner drink. Service and cocktails were pretty damn good Had a rum negroni, whisky negroni and tequilla. Update: Oct 2024 Came back to try the food, and it didnt disappoint. A true gem of a place! I dropped the star rating for the atmosphere only because they seem to have a huge issue with flies. I usually expect fruit flies in most establishments, but yesterday was a bit excessive. Suggestion is to install the sticky things at night to catch them. In any event, Ill still be back bc I didnt get to try everything I wanted.
The food was delicious and ambience was warm and friendly, however I wish they had staggered the timing of bringing our plates to table. They brought everything at once and some dishes were getting cold on the table.
This place is absolutely incredible. The food is 10/10, as are the cocktails, and the service is exceptional. We had Emily who was great!!
Amazing experience, excellent service, delicious food! Matt was a perfect server!!
Amazing experience last night delicious food, beautiful space, and great service. Matt took excellent care of us :)
Meh is the best way to describe this place. Vibe is nice but the service is slow. Fries were a joke, skinny little dried up strings of potato scraps. Ordered the shawarma platter for $69, it came with a tiny ramekin of tzatziki and 6 small pitas. Server asked us if we wanted more tzatziki and pitas, got charged $2 for the extra tzatziki and $6 for the extra pitas. Cant ever remember being charged for a top up on condiments in any restaurant. Save yourself the disappointment and go to Gusto 501 across the street.
First time here and definitely wont be my last. EXCEPTIONAL service from initial entrance to my departure.
Ive been here many times to celebrate my bday but this year i brought a group of 11 and it was such a great night @ reyna. we had a set menu because of the large number of guests and there were all so good, the humus to the calamari, to the lebanese tacos and the shawarma platter - to die for. the service was really good and it was a nice way to celebrate my birthday, i think the only thing i could change was the heat, it was a little hot, not unbearable but definitely made us sweat a bit. other than that, I couldnt have asked for a better place to celebrate and im so thankful for all of the staff that night.
Went for brunch with my Boozy Brunch Club. Loved it. We ordered one dish at a time and the four of us split the Avo Toast, Croque Madame, Brisket Grilled Cheese, and the Baklava French Toast. Had a delicious cocktail between\with each course and it was the perfect way to start the day... highly recommend and we will be back.
Had a good time our server Carrie guided us to the menu made sure we had a great night and the music was popping
This place is a cute and cozy restaurant in King East. We loved everything we ordered here! We got the Manchego Cauliflower, Mac Baharat Pide, Lamb Baklava, Lebanese Tacos, and Halloumi Souvlaki. Everything was SO delicious, but my favourites out of all were the crispy Manchego Cauliflower and the Halloumi Souvlaki. They also have really good cocktails. The portion sizes are a little bit smaller than expected and its a little pricey, but definitely recommend if you re looking for a good cocktail and food/snack place.
Unique vibe with excellent cocktails and tapas. Plan on coming back next time in Toronto.
Reyna on king is a great spot for drinks! Went recently with a friend and our server Carrie was awesome. She was helpful with the menu and made sure we had a good night. Well be back soon!
Came to Reyna on King with some friends for the first time and had a great time! The food hit the spot and our server Carrie suggested the French martini which was delicious! It was a memorable night - I highly recommend!
Loved coming here for dinner, super cute spot to come for drinks and to share plates. Their cocktails are amazing, the sangria is my favourite. All the plates were delicious and easy to share for two, its a great spot to come for date night. My absolute favourite dishes were the greek fries, croquettes, and the picanha. Theres also a good variety of dishes on the menu which is great. Super great atmosphere and patio as well, really nice vibe and I cant wait to return.
Love the atmosphere at this place. Staff seem very friendly and family like. My server was Carrie for the night and she was AMAZING. Catered to EVERYTHING I wanted and needed. Dietary restrictions . MET. Vibe MET. She was the most attentive server I ve had at a resto/bar. Overall great experience!
Omg a must try! Renya came highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The food was beyond delicious and unique. The service was excellent, carols was an amazing server!! You have to try this place!!
the food and drinks were so delicious, i especially liked the spanish fries! i could eat them all day! the bartender matthew was so charismatic and kind, really appreciated my experience with him. carlos was also a great server, loved the entire experience. definitely looking forward to coming back!
Exquisite, creative, menu. Just delicious. The location is a hidden gem; Low key, inviting. Come as you are. Romantic. Exceptional service. Thank you! Food : 5/5
Amazing experience! Everything was just so pleasant about this hidden gem. Food was fresh & tastes great! Carlos was the sweetest, attentive & entertaining server I had encountered in a while.I ll definitely be back!
Absolutely delicious food! Piping hot and expertly prepared. Great cocktails. Located in a historical building, cozy atmosphere. I ll be back!
Vegetarian options: Lebanese tacos, crispy artichoke, broccolini Highly recommend Food : 5/5
Came for lunch and was a little disappointed. Had the lamb shank benedict and while the flavour was good, the portion was small for the price. I know that it s mainly a tapas style bar so maybe it was my own expectation versus the reality.
The server came up to us and told us gratuity (20% tip) was automatically applied to our bill since we re a big group. However, we were only a group of 5 people I m used to paying gratuity on bills for groups of 6 or more, but having that rule applied on any less than that number is just silly.
Reynas stunning ambiance and chic crowd initially promised a memorable night. While the friendly welcome set a positive tone, the evening quickly took a downward turn. Unfortunately, the service lagged behind the restaurants stylish exterior. The food menu, though ambitious, fell short of its potential. Dishes like the lamb baklava and halloumi tacos failed to impress, leaving a sense of underwhelm. The excessive use of radishes in multiple dishes became repetitive and detracted from the overall dining experience. The pide, a dish traditionally enjoyed in small bites, was rendered impractical by oversized zucchini slices. Ultimately, Reyna failed to deliver on its promise. I was left disappointed and without inclination to return.
Loved the vibes, tacos were amazing!
Good spot for brunch, lamb eggs benny was fantastic. Definitely excited to try the lunch/dinner menu as well.
Love love love everything about this place. Food, drinks, atmosphere and staff. Also the price is friendly too.
Love this place!!!
Very lovely restaurant with good vibe and atmosphere. Love the decor under the ceiling! The foods are delicious and memorable! The scallop is fresh, the frites and the tacos are also great! Definitely will go back for more!
The food was average. Nothing special. I had eggs benedict with lamb. Thr lamb was cooked well but the flat bread was hard and difficult to eat. I also order shashoka, which had way too many tomatoes and they were not cooked very well. The fries were really good.
The cocktails are amazing!
Good stuff, interesting small plates. Some dishes were great, some were ok. But we were there for a birthday, and had fund time, and the service was great.
The food is not overbearing, serving size is enough to satisfy you. Highly recommended.
This restaurant was a waste of effort to visit. The waiters and host(s) are unprofessional and the taste of food was nothing exceptional. The service was abysmal, the servers are worse! We ordered for two grilled cheese but after taking almost an hour for our order, the waiter mentioned she only placed one order. The house fries came out burnt and the drinks were lackluster. I do not recommend this establishment as there are better places in Toronto for whatever they think they offer.
Had a wonderful dinner and service over the weekend.. Great place to take guests from out of town. I highly recommend it..
A cozy and lovely bar tucked in the middle street of Toronto. Amazing ambiance and vibe with well dim light set up and decor perfect for date night. They were booked out when we made the reservations but apparently when we reached they re were 2 vacant tables and it was a no show as it didn t fill in till the time we got out and even after requesting them twice for some reason they didn t give us the table so had to spend the whole date way the bar but because of the amazing bartender it was all worth it, he recommended us some beautiful cocktails and also a beer. Coming to food lamb baklava was one of the most unique dish i ever tired it was something perfectly balanced on its own can t put it to words, you just have to try it because it s damn good and the souvlaki was nice apart from it s quantity and the tzatziki was fresh. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back to try for more!
Beware, not really Halal. They use the same pan where they cook the pork in. Otherwise Baklava French toast was delicious.
Went for brunch on Sunday, hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. The room is really pretty with a living green ceiling We both had the shakshuka which I enjoyed. Having a lovely chat and then suddenly blasting loud music!! I don t want to feel like I m in a nightclub while catching up over coffee. I probably won t be back, it s an absolute atmosphere killer.
Very welcoming staff. Went for Sunday brunch, great coffee. Had the most outstanding French toast, and Croque Madame. Reservations suggested, its not a big place, but SO good. Cant wait to go back. Food
Fun drinks, fries are too skinny
Great atmosphere and delicious food! The music was a bit too loud though. Portion sizes are tiny and therefore very expensive. Italian Fries were very good but were cut so thin that the food gets cold by the time you finish it.
Met with a friend to do some catching up. He lives in the neighborhood and recommended a few places, and we chose Reynas. . I recommend making a reservation if you plan to come here. Its a cozy little place with seating for ~25 max (?). Ideal for groups no larger than 6 I would say. We came on a Sunday for brunch and reserved a table for 4. I liked their decor as well! Staff was friendly and the drinks were delish. We went on a Sunday at 1pm and their regular menu wasnt available -- only the brunch menu. I got a Dark & Stormy (I lied -- I actually got 2), which I recommend. I also got a Short Rib Grilled Cheese, which was fantastic! The short rib was moist, but not so juicy that it bled into the bread and made it soggy. Overall wonderful experience. Would come again! Parking: Its downtown Toronto, so you have street parking. I went on a Sunday when street parking was free and there wasnt many people, but I can see the streets being quite a bit busier on a Friday or Saturday.
Have been to Reyna a few times. Always a great meal! The king location is quite cozy and the staff are very attentive and friendly
I recently visited Reyna on King for brunch with a friend and had a delightful experience. The service was prompt, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, making us feel welcomed right from the start. To kick off my meal, I ordered a specialty coffee which was a perfect choice to awaken my taste buds. I opted for the lamb baklava as my first dish, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The flavors were exquisite, and the dish was presented beautifully. Following that, I tried the Mac Baharat Pide which was a true highlight of the meal. The flatbread was freshly made and served piping hot, complementing the flavorful filling perfectly. Overall, I left the restaurant thoroughly impressed with both the quality of the food and the top-notch service. I highly recommend trying out this spot for a satisfying brunch experience.
Food is tasty , however very saucy. We had lamb chops which did not need the generous amount of sauce as it was tasty meat. The artichokes were amazing - a must. Service as slow and music was super loud ( annoying. Lebanese fries doesn t go well with ketchup at all. I hold go back if they reduce all these sauces.
Beautiful place! Cozy and romantic, food was delicious, took pics but didnt the pics didnt save on my phone for some reason, service was awesome, our server and the bartender were amazing! Only draw back was my drink, the French Martini was pretty small and not much depth! But will definitely be back!
Friendly staff lovely atmosphere. Delicious food !
Amazing service and ambiance. Food was great with amazing vegetarian options.
Delicious! Beautiful! Friendly! What a lovely little spot on King East. Outstanding plates were the manchego/cauliflower croquettes, the artichoke and the shawarma platter. Looking forward to trying it for brunch.
Came here for brunch on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised how amazing the food was! The baklava french toast was so delicious and the short rib grilled cheese with spanish fries was something I never knew I needed! Definitely coming back.
Lamb chops and Italian fries were amazing. Service was a little slow but there was only one waitress on the day I visited. Drinks are delicious
Immaculate service, food and drinks. Shoutout to Xeni and Carrie, best cocktails I ve had in the city so far! 10/10
The food was amazing, loved the chicken tacos and lamb! I got lucky and was able to call the venue the day of and get reservations.
The staff were accommodating. We came without a reservation on a Saturday and were welcomed. They have a small brunch menu. I got the lamb shank benny, small portion and the yolk was not runny, not sure if it is usually served like that. I think its best when you just want little meal and drinks to enjoy. I like the vibe and the nice patio.
Incredibly beautiful restaurant with the most amazing food and drinks. We were guided by Xeni and had a most delightfullly delicious dinner. So looking forward to going back to the restaurant.
Hands down the best mojito mocktail Ive had. Wonderful vibe, music was great and 100% would recommend.
Cute spot and good food for sharing!
Right up in my neighborhood, we visited this gem yesterday finally. Since it was a weekday we walked in and got the table. I wasn t so hungry so ordered just crispy artichokes. My friends ordered halloumi souvlaki and vegetarian tacos along with Italian fries to share. The star was the fries. I like the ambience of this corner restaurant and friendly staff. We will visit again next Vegetarian options: The menu is customizable and there s a good vegetarian options in the menu.
Atmosphere is cozy. Lighting is dim and adds to the overall ambiance. It is a small and intimate place with a really great tapas menu and drink offerings. The menu offers amazing fusion options to share. The delicacy is unmatchable. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
Overall a great place to dine in. Food cooked perfectly. My only recommendation would be to use hot plates to help the meat stay hot for longer. Congrats. Food : 5/5
I cant remember the last time that I gave a perfect rating! Food was delicious and it was for a reasonable price. The ambiance was light and airy. Service was also on point! Would visit again
Got brunch here. Didn t think the service was great. Took quite a while for the food to be served, and nobody bothered checking in about it, or filling up water regularly. Food was decent. I debated the shakshuka or croque madame and went for the Shakshuka since it was a warm dish compared to the other. Place was surprisingly quite empty for weekend brunch. Overall, decent joint and quite reasonably priced. Would not mind coming back and sampling something else. Vegetarian options: Shakshuka is vegetarian (contains egg though) Parking: Can pay and park on king street.
One of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. The cauliflower and manchego croquettes are heaven in a bite. The cocktail menu is fun and sexy, had a delicious French Martini. The Lebanese tacos were delicious with falafel for my vegetarian eaters! Food
My friends and I went to Reyna on King for some apps and drinks. One of the servers spilled a beer on me. My pants and shirt were soaking wet, including my underwear. The server was not apologetic or even had an ounce of sensitivity that my clothes were wet. We laughed it off and were good about it, no big deal we said. When presented with the bill, the server did not acknowledge the mishap until I mentioned to her that she had spilled a beer on me, don t you think you should take care of something? Have you heard of service recovery? Her response to me was, ok I can take something off, if you want? she said . Wow. Ok. Will I be back? No!
Everything was amazing
My dining experience was truly exceptional. The food was delicious, I m obsessed with the manchego & cauliflower croquettes & the Picaña beef. The cocktails were on point ,the Mezcal smokeshow especially 10 out of 10 recommend. Service was outstanding and the vibes were great!
Super friendly staff and food was amazing! Myself and a group of friends were looking for a spot to eat and drink late at night and Reyna turned out to be the best decision we ever made! Big thank you to Elvira for being super accommodating :)
Elvira and Xeni were amazing! Their customer service was great! And the DJ was one of the best in the city. Will definitely be coming back
Such a great time from the music to the service to the cocktails. I come here every week at this point. Xeni and Elvira are awesome, ask for them when you walk in.
Beautiful place Amazing service Most delicious food Literally everything on the menu is recommended and was so good
Honestly I have been to a Bar Reyna countless times and the service is impeccable from the bartender Xeni to the waitress stuff. I always sit at the bar so the attention to detail on the cocktails prepared and presented is top notch. Xeni makes me want to come back to Bar Reyna her bubbly personality always brightens my day. Lamb baklava is my utmost favourite!!!! Keep up the good work guys
The food was delicious, presented beautifully, and seasoned well. The bartender, Zenny, takes cocktails to a whole other level. They are innovative, interesting and very tasty. Vegetarian options: Many of them Parking: King St,right in front. Paid lot on power st.
Delicious and love the vibe
Super cute and great service! Maybe a little overpriced but very yummy
Had my first experience here and I just wanted to say that Milan is the most AMAZING server I ve ever had. The most genuine, kind, detailed and knowledgeable server I ve ever had in the city. He truly is dedicated to to his craft and cares about his guests to the fullest extent. This man deserves a raise!!! Please make sure he sees this review and knows the continue to do the amazing job that he is. Thank you Reyna for having us and I ll be back just for Milan!
Delicious food and the decor is so cozy!
My meal was super tasty served in the lovely ambiance by the very sexy, yet fun bartender. All around great experience Id come back to if I lived here!
Cool place.
Would give a much higher rating if it weren t for the shocking lack of professionalism from our bartender last evening. My girlfriend asked for a slight variation to her cocktail, that being a whiskey sour only less sweet. Neither of us thought it was an unreasonable request as any sane bartender would understand it as to simply add less simple syrup to the cocktail than the recipe usually calls for. Our bartender took it as an oppertunity to mock my girlfriend and her request to one of her coworkers. In fact she mocked my girlfriends decision so loudly that we could hear every word of how stupid the bartender thought my girlfriend s cocktail order was from our table across the room. This bartender even went so so far as to tasting the cocktail and saying something negative about how it tasted. Not a great feeling when a server hands you a drink that the bartender made fun of you for ordering, and openly proclaimed didn t taste good loud enough for the whole resteraunts to hear. We will not be returning and all the friends we ve told this story to don t seem eager to support that type of behaviour either.
We went for brunch on a Saturday. We had to be at the bar because we didn t make reservations. Okay, that s fair. But it turned out to be great because case our server was always close by. It was great! The only tiny issue was that they don t have decaf coffee. The answer was because they only have the whole bean espresso machine. The server was very kind to try to find a decaf tea for my wife, though. You know, decaf is not a taste preference, some people simply can t. Above that, food was delicious. We will definitely come back.
Very kind! Best french toast Ive ever had
Drain services
The servers were kind but we came here for dinner but they didn t consider bringing the food at the same time so we can enjoy our meals together, it kind of ruined the meal for us (plus it took so long to bring it!) Also the food was overpriced. The food tasted good though!
Its such a cute place! Greenery covers the ceiling, transporting you to a calmer place. Food, drinks, and atmosphere were wonderful.
Would have given this restaurant a much higher rating if it were not for all the young, social media sensations that surrounded us from every angle. Don t get me wrong, I too love grabbing a pretty food shot and even one of the restaurant, but boom and it s done and I can then enjoy the experience. This was bright lights, microphone interviews and photos all over the restaurant galore. It really took away from the evening given that it s such a small space. Our neighbours too were annoyed. I get that you need media promotion and that influencers are just trying to make a living, but may I suggest doing the big promotional campaigns in a staged environment, after hours ?
Definitely one of the good ones. Food was special, drinks were alright and service was truly impeccable. Thank you
Excellent food and service!! Very cute vibes and the cocktails are great.
Recently visited Reyna on King Street and it an absolute gem with New York vibe meets cool king street east. Perfectly situated near the Berkeley Theatre, its an ideal spot for a pre-theatre meal or a relaxing post-show drink. The bar exudes a cool, ambient vibe with amazing decor that instantly sets a welcoming and sophisticated tone. It is the coolest bar in that area with exceptional food. Milan, the bartender, was exceptional. Not only did he impress us with his mixology skills, but his friendly demeanor and expertise in wine selection were truly commendable. He guided us through the menu, sharing his personal favorites, which greatly enhanced our dining experience. As a vegetarian, I was particularly thrilled with their dips platter - an absolute must-try. Each dip was a flavor revelation, reflecting the true essence of Mediterranean cuisine. The service at Bar Reyna was outstanding, contributing to the overall fantastic experience. Whether youre visiting the Berkeley Theatre or just in the area, Bar Reyna is a must-visit spot. Its a stellar combination of ambiance, decor, and culinary excellence right in the heart of the city!
Very enjoyable experience ! This place is cute and well designed. The staff was kind and helpful. The food was very good but what standed out the most where the drinks the dessert were very good ! Thanks for this wonderful experience
Food was alright.the service was totally disappointing. Our food never arrived and after a while our waitress came by and asked what we ordered because they missed placing our order. Wrong
Drinks were good. The food was extremely small portioned and not so tasty. Highly priced!
Great food in a nice, unique atmosphere. The service was fabulous and was very helpful for our group of 6 with various allergies. I will definitely come back.
Came for brunch after seeing this place on social media. While it is very instagramable, it is also delicious. My friend and I agreed this was one of our favorite spots we tried in Toronto! We split the baklava french toast and Shakshuka. WOW. I would eat the french toast every day forever if I could. I wish the Shakshuka had more bread but otherwise was wonderful. Good service but took quite a while to get the check which I think it just common for Canada (Im not used to it!).
This place is amazing! Beautiful ambiance and great seating options inside or outside. Its across the street from a church so it gets busy after service. The coffee was delicious and the food was AMAZING! Very unique food options and healthy dining. The brunch had lots of flavor I really enjoyed the baklava French toast! The servers were very friendly, but not attentive. We had to ask to put in orders for drinks and our entree. Overall I was very pleased!
Perfect spot to grab cocktails and a delicious bite in Corktown. The music, atmosphere, food, drinks and service make for a fun date night or night out with friends.
Great place with a nice ambiance. The Mediterranean food is good. Just that the music volume was a little to high for me.
Ok a short and sweet review - everything about this place is great EXCEPT FOR the infestation of flies. The closer you sit to the kitchen/washroom, the worse it is. Be prepared to constantly swat them out as you dine. The flies most likely come from a small garbage area behind the restaurant. Probably wont be an issue during winter but something management definitely needs to address for summertime.
Really love this spot for a casual dinner and/or cocktails! The atmosphere is lovely and the food is delicious. Unique cocktails as well.
Fantastic place. Great eclectic food menu options - all totally delicious. Great cocktails. Great atmosphere and served by two lovely female servers - one was English - sorry I cant remember your names but the service was attentive and friendly and helpful. Loved it all. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian tasty options.
You know the food is good when you forget to take pictures until the very end. I ve been here a few times and was so happy to take my (extremely Lebanese) parents here to show off the city a bit. The calamari with za atar was, according to my mother, the best calamari she s ever tasted. I will personally rec the chickpeas three ways. The service was also impeccable and so friendly. (Special shout out to Shalena and Carrie - sorry if I m butchering the spelling!) Come here for good food and good times and be ready to share !! Not a place for standalone meals. Pictured below - churros over chocolate mousse with mint and avocado. It was delicious and probably my least favourite thing we had, so the bar is HIGH.
Wow, what a place! They do have a beautiful jungle style decoration and cozy interior. Not much space for seating but the vibe is great. We got seated a the bar and unlike any other high chairs, they were super comfortable to sit. We were here for brunch. We ordered the Shakshuka, the Baklava French toast, a short rib grilled cheese sandwich and a pizco cocktail. Everything was delicious and did not disappoint. The baklava French Toast was a dream, and felt like it melted in my mouth. The grilled cheese was absolutely perfect and the Shakshuka was also tasty but would be even better if it was a little bit of a larger portion. The prices for food are definitely reasonable but for the cocktails I would say they are on the pricey side. The pisco cocktail was perfect. The only downside is that their fries are not what we expected. They are super thin that we can barely find any flavour in them, on the other side the dipping was really flavourful. We will definitely come back and recommend since I cannot get over their French toast Baklava.
This cute little neighbourhood bar was a great find during a random stroll on the King Street. Loved the vibe, drinks, food and everything about the place. The staff was warm and friendly. Def recommend to try their shawarma platter
Good vibes and good drinks. Special shout out to Francesca for checking on us making sure we were taken care of and had all we needed. Shes super lovely and made our experience an unforgettable one.
Had a really tastey meal at reyna. Service was a bit slow and the staff didnt check in often during our meal so i couldnt order another tastey cocktail
Love the ambiance! Great for a date. Variety of snacks to graze on so good to get a number of small plates if youre coming with several friends.
My favourite thing about Reyna on king (other than the ambience) is the service. Hospitality and customer care is TOP NOTCH. Definitely the best in the area (I live in the area). This visit we went for brunch and had the lamb shank benny, short rib grilled cheese and the Arabic fries. The food is unique and well executed - literally the only things Im looking for when I go out. Ive seen previous reviews knocking the baklava and the fries and tbh I understand the perspective, they are different than what youd experience at other restaurants. The saffron in the baklava is absolutely incredible. Such a fun take on a great dessert. I also love that its large enough to share. The fries, again, are unique. The super skinny version they serve with the Arabic fries (Im not sure if they are the same fries for their other versions) are best eaten with a fork, the texture is unreal, the seasonings fantastic. Overall, a really great experience always... AND they keep all the local doggos well fed with a treat tray out front - LOVE
The cocktails are really good. The food is good too but the portions are SMALL if youre just going for drinks and a light snack youll be fine. If youre expecting a filling meal go elsewhere
Cute little spot for a date, drinks were good (slightly watered down) and the space could be a lot cleaner
Pricey drinks mediocre drinks, amazing atmosphere, totally loved the ambience and service was spot on.
Went out for a triple birthday celebration with my family at Reyna. It was absolutely incredible from the food to the service big shout out to the whole Reyna staff they were so warm and friendly. Thanks to Matt and Carrie for taking such great care of us. We pretty much ordered the whole menu and was not disappointed. This Mediterranean tapas place blew our minds from small apps, shared plates and the most delicious desserts. The music was such a vibe playing amazing hip hop I would 100% recommend checking this place out. What an experience. Much love !!
Decor is beautiful. Comfortable seating. The washroom lighting could be better (felt too dark for the space). Had the short rib grilled cheese with fries. The lightly spicy ketchup went well with the thin and nicely seasoned fries. The meat was tender. Look, I get it. Summer, lets open our windows to be all cute and breezy. But lets not when the bugs are coming for your guests?! A hornet or yellow jacket kept coming for us and our food. It was buzzing around our faces, landed on our food, near our plates, etc. It was disastrous and we cut our brunch short because of it. So if youre coming to visit and the windows are open, sit as far away from the front as possible.
This place is amazing. Amazing cocktails. Only thing I would suggest they change is get rid of the sauce on the Pide. Takes away from the Pide, which is delicious on its own.
A neighborhood highlight
Beautiful ambiance!! We went for a girls night and enjoyed our drinks and tapas styled meal. Definitely would recommend. We ordered the halloumi cheese, olives & chorizo, salad, calamari, octopus, and greek fries and amongst three girls we were stuffed!
Food, service and atmosphere were all spot on - thank you!
This spot is a vibe! Great drinks and ambience, perfect for a date night. Shoutout Matt for his hospitality and Grant working his magic behind the bar.
Enjoyable brunch and speedy + attentive service! I just wish there was more selection or different variations. I love the music and the vibe as well
had the salad was good but the dressing was boring it needed more salt and perhaps some maple syrup. the veggies were fresh and plentiful. the lamb chops were delicious but it was new Zealand lamb but the ontario lamb chops are bigger and very delicious. the atmosphere was lovely and in a very historic part of toronto. i would recomend this place and i would go back
Great place for brunch! The short rib swandich and the italian style frites were so good
This neighborhood gem serves up delicious food. Friendly service and convenient parking nearby. Two thumbs up
They played only Drake songs the whole night, immediate 5/5 from me
Very pricy, but each bite will have you saying it s the best bite you ve ever had, don t bother coming here and not trying the lamb baklava! The cocktail list has the usual suspects, but they re done right. Great service, regardless of how tight the seating was. Don t be ashamed pulling out your phone camera because everything everywhere is Instagram worthy!
Beautiful restaurant and beautiful dishes. I just expected more exciting flavours and more variety in the menu. All in all nice experience and service.
Very good service, however the portions were small
Top notch service and vibe but holy the prices are ridiculous compared to the portion.
A lively atmosphere with creative menu. Its not a big place, so the menu is suitably short, but youre sure to find something you like.
Cute place with good food
Food was amazing as was our server Carrie. She explained and recommended dishes for sharing, all of which were perfect. She was fun, thoughtful and we shared many laughs. She truly made our experience, as did the manager who brought over some Prosecco when she heard it was the first time I was seeing my friend in over a decade! The accompanying sauces with the dishes are legit exquisite. This is a small intimate dining spot with above average food, great music and ambiance. Probably my fourth time here. Always impressive! Vegetarian options: Lots of options.
Absolutely delicious! Unique tapas, every bite so flavourful. We enjoyed so much we ordered more. We had the Lebanese falafel tacos, cauliflower croquettes, mondatitos, lamb baklava. Really nice ambience. My only complaint is the sangria, the flavours didnt blend well, maybe because not made the typical way with wine. Will definitely return!
Great service and tasty food. Also, everything was halal so a bonus. Went for an Impromptu bday lunch and they even gave a signed card. Very lovely and will go back soon. Food : 5/5
Amazing! 10/10! I am absolutely obsessed with the Tacos, they were delish!! Also, the croquette literally melted in my mouth. I need to come back every weekend!! Very pleased.
EXCELENT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, VERY NICE ATMOSPHERE. EAT HERE GUYS.
The Reyna gems are what you ought to get! Our favourites were the lamb baklava and the chicken tacos. The dessert was a little toooo sweet for our liking but very unique and the texture was fun. Make sure to let them know if you like your food arrive in certain orders. Our dishes came out in random orders. Good presentation, good portions. The atmosphere was so cozy and lovely.
Atmosphere was nice. However the food wasnt great and service took forever
Amazing atmosphere with top notch service from very chill staff. Great music and excellent food too. The Reyna Salad is exceptional and the Pistachio Baklava dessert simply to die for. Highly recommend this one, Ill be back, even if its just for a beverage and dessert.
Positives: Nice atmosphere and excellent food! Flavours, sides and sauces are very well done and all of the meat was cooked perfectly. Service was good. Downsides: It was very loud unfortunately (great music but was hard to have a conversation with the people at my table). Better for a date or small group of people rather than a big group (5 or more) as the restaurant is on the smaller side too.
Milan the bartender Fantastic. Staff great. Food awesome. Great corner spot.
Great atmosphere, good was good and weird at the same time. Great ambience.
Nice brunch spot on the weekend and great ambiance. Their baklava French toast was my absolute favorite . The short ribs grilled cheese was high up there, too, with the cheese melting right in your mouth. Also had their shakshuka, not a fav, but it was still decent. Recommend the Spanish fries for sure! Will definitely visit again.
this place is a nice brunch spot. we enjoyed each dish but the service could ve been better.
Food was delicious
The lamb baklava is phenomenal. Oh my god it is one of the best things I ve eaten in the city and I will definitely be back for more. The calamari is above average. The other dishes that we had (beet dip, halloumi, Arabic fries) were ok. I didn t dislike anything about the dishes but they weren t standout but I wouldn t get them again. The cocktails are really good. The servers are amazing. The vibe and aesthetic is top notch. Looking forward to trying the rest of the dishes and hopefully giving this place more than a 3. We spent $200ish for 4 people so leaving with just 1 of the dishes we ordered blowing us away feels a little underwhelming.
Would have loved to try this place but the rudeness of their hostess and the unprofessionalism of this place was too much. We tried going at 8:30, 2 people on a weekday night at what seemingly appeared to be a chill place. The hostess told us that there was no spots currently but to put our names down on the waitlist. When asked how long it would take, she was rude and short and said it might be 30 mins or an hour. We agreed and asked her if she had some advice for place around for a drink in the meantime and again were met with a rude and short NO. Not sure that the service industry is her calling. Ultimately, we wait over two hours and no updates from the restaurant about a table. They did not even bother to inform us that it might not be possible for tonight. Again this level of unprofessionalism is insane to me. A quick and polite update would have been enough considering that we were waiting.
Dec 19 dinner for 2 at 8pm with reservation | no wait, table was clean and ready | Everything was perfect. Food, service, ambiance. Tapas place | 10/10 resonnable price. You should go :)
