We are Halal certified.
Good location. I like ordering the chicken and beef plate. The food is fresh and the portions are generous, the chicken and beef is tender and juicy and the staff is very friendly and kind. Love the energy and the fast paced costumer service provided. Highly recommended!!
I recently enjoyed the skewer plate at Villa Madina Mediterranean Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The skewers were perfectly grilled, showcasing a wonderful blend of spices and flavors. Each bite was juicy and tender, accompanied by fresh vegetables that complemented the dish nicely. The presentation was inviting, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for a casual meal or a special occasion. I highly recommend the skewer plate for anyone looking to savor authentic Mediterranean cuisine!
The $5 Rokbox during shawarma day was an awesome deal! It was very filling and it tasted good. They gave the right amount of rice and chicken and it’s totally worth it!!
We stopped by to grab Lunch at this Mediterranean place, the vegetables and meat are fresh, tasty and full of flavor, did not disappoint our taste buds.Staff are friendly and accommodating. Best Mediterranean place in Ontario Canda.
Good food, lots of choices. They were not busy at the time I visited. The employee (cashier 1) was hurried and rushed through my order with the speed and efficiency of a NASCAR driver. A not very good NASCAR driver. At least the food was tasty. Update September 8: E-mailed your team August 25. No reply. Stopped by this location September 1. Lack of attention by employees still apparent. Hummus should not be liquid.
I recently tried Villa Madina's beef shawarma, and it was amazing! The flavors were perfect, and the beef tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone craving great Mediterranean food. Definitely worth trying!
I was shocked to see what my $35 take out purchase was. Hard dried chicken in one meal and what looked like dog poo in the other (see pictures). How do you even let this go to the customer is beyond me. I called the location with the hopes of resolving this amicably but none of my calls were returned after a week and so here I write and now aware of all the bad reviews. This place should be on the Public Health Ministry’s radar. I even went back the next day to address the problem and realized the front staff cuts a whole lot of meat off the rotary heater to let it sit for hours (maybe days) at room temp to further dry out and potentially have microbes grow (Only for them to re-heat it on the griddle), even with no customers in sight. Not even a sorry from the front staff, just a head down and yelling “e-mail! I cannot do anything about it!”. Never again. This place will tear down your brand. Figure it out before someone gets severely ill. I threw out the chicken before I decided to take a picture of the other poo meal. These pictures should say it all…
Worst food I've ever had! Meat is not freshly cooked. As you can see in the photos the beef shows fatty oil like it just came out from the fridge, it was cold. It's already so bad that it's not fresh but even worst that they didn't even think about heating it up properly?! Spent $40 for this garbage. What a waste of money.
The Chicken Shawarma Saj at Villa Madina is a standout item for lovers of flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. The tender, perfectly seasoned chicken is wrapped in a freshly prepared saj bread, which adds a delightful, light crispiness. Complemented by fresh toppings and a choice of sauces, each bite offers a satisfying balance of texture and taste. It s a great choice for a quick, hearty, and delicious meal. Whether you re a shawarma enthusiast or trying it for the first time, the saj option elevates the experience with its authentic, fresh touch. Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Vine leaves plate
Jennifer and her staff are SO friendly - food is delicious everytime! We order lunch for our staff every few weeks, and Jennifers attention to detail is uncanny! Def worth a visit. Vegetarian options: Falafel and salad options are vegetarian.
Villa Madina at Yonge Sheppard Centre is a solid spot for Mediterranean fast food. The location is convenient, right in the heart of the Yonge and Sheppard area, making it perfect for a quick meal if you re shopping or working nearby. The menu offers a good variety of Middle Eastern dishes, including shawarma, falafel, kebabs, and fresh salads. The portions are generous, and the food is flavorful, particularly the chicken shawarma, which is well-seasoned and juicy. Their garlic sauce and hummus add a nice touch to any meal. The pita wraps are well-packed, making them filling without being too heavy. The service is generally quick, even during busy lunch hours, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The dining area is clean but has limited seating, so it s better for takeout or a quick bite rather than a long sit-down meal. Overall, Villa Madina at Yonge Sheppard Centre is a great option if you re in the mood for a flavorful, reasonably priced Mediterranean meal in a convenient location. Plus the owner Jennifer is very generous with the serving!
Ordered the 5$ special RokBox, it s either that the staff forgot to add more chicken or were advised to give less quantity. Save your money and go elsewhere
Vegetarian options: Falafel wrap, plate, rockvox Parking: Enough space Kid-friendliness: Play area Wheelchair accessibility: Thete are all lift and scaletors
Not professional and not fresh I will not come back Food
The service is amazingly fast. There are lot of menu to choose from. Over all I highly recommend this place. Dietary restrictions: I am ketogenic so I am very keen on what I eat. I find something from the menu that s great for me
Horrible !!! $16.00 for this barely any chicken little salad. What a rip off!!! Never buy from these guys.
I ordered Chicken Shawarma Salad & a lot . I have to SHARE it with my wife. Service was amazing.
The portion for $15 for this salad was unbelievable and very least chicken was put!!
The Chicken Saarm Sandwich at Villa Madina in the Shephard-Yonge Centre is a standout choice for anyone craving a flavorful and satisfying meal. The sandwich features tender, well-seasoned chicken, marinated to perfection with a blend of spices that impart a rich, savory taste. The ingredients are fresh, with crisp lettuce and juicy tomatoes complementing the chickens flavor. The pita bread is soft and slightly toasted, providing a delightful contrast to the moist filling. Overall, the Chicken Saarm Sandwich offers a delicious balance of textures and flavors, making it a must-try for fans of Middle Eastern cuisine. The friendly service and inviting atmosphere of Villa Madina further enhance the dining experience. Vegetarian options: Falafel sandwitch
The worst shawarma place ever. Got a chicken shawarma wrap. Meat was super dry, hardly any meat for a large. Tasted horrible. Never again will return. The worst!
I just ate Chicken Shawarma Sandwich for Lunch it was AWESOME!!!
Had a delicious Shawarma . Great service. Highly recommended. Food
Chicken shawarma poutine (super) - garlic, tahini so yummy Also, the lady at the cashier is super nice I love her Food
I was ordering food for half a year, no respect to person at all. I asked for napkins, person just put napkins on table. I asked kindly to give it to me , second time, she just moved napkins holder. And that person served me everyday for half a year. I always said please and thank you , bery disrespectfull. I stopped buying food from today, gling to find better alternative
Some days ago I was passing, and ordered beef shawarma. The sandwich was OK but she fill the bread with salad and very little beef pieces I found in the sandwich. I mostly tasted the salads rather than beef shawarma.
Villa Medina HQ needs to check in on this one. I ordered a plate and the food was so dry and bland. Salads werent tangy, no salt in the rice or seasoning in the kefta and nothing tasted fresh. This location is bot typical of this brands offerings which is highly disappointing. I do not recommend anyone eat at the Yonge & Sheppard location!
Absolutely appalling experience! Should have checked reviews!! Ordered food during my lunch break and was greeted with a hair in my meal. When I brought it to the attention of the owner, instead of acknowledging the mistake and offering an apology, she denied it outright, claiming everyone was wearing hairnets. Clearly, someone failed to adhere to basic hygiene standards. The lack of accountability and the dismissive attitude from the owner is beyond disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment at all costs unless you enjoy finding surprises in your food!
The manager: Jen and staff is Bella! They provide best food quality and service. If you use your rewards card on your birthday you get a free sandwich or a Rokbox on your birthday and 5 days after. Food
Very good food especially shawarma wrap and their service is awesome. Vegetarian options: Plenty of salads Food : 5/5 |
We can customize our sandwiches and its really nice that they deal with the customers. I tried the beef shawarma wrap, it was actually yummy and the meat was well cooked. The falafels are also good. Must try .
Awsome
Great spot for tasty shawarma!
Jen and Bella are the warmest, most welcoming people. I only visit this specific outlet as the wraps are fantastic and it is always lovely to see these two wonderful humans. Keep up the good work ladies!
If the portion is small and you dont want to give more i wont pay, and you can keep it
Horrible service, rude staff and poor quality of food. This chain used to be good, absolutely not anymore. Buyer beware. I should have read Themis previous review prior to eating here, it is literally exact What I experienced. The franchisees at this location will ruin your entire business. it is obvious that the owners of this particular Villa Madina dont care about putting care and quality in their food. all they care about is making money. 2nd time ordered from this location and it will be my last. too bad because i usually very much enjoy the food from villa madina (other locations). Note to owner: if you dont care about the food or the customers then sell the franchise and buy another restaurant instead. My notes were not followed and the order process off Uber is cumbersome. The portion sizes are also Significantly smaller than other locations Ive been to and enjoyed. Ive always been happy with Villa Madina and seek it out but this particular location has ruined it. Hopefully the headoffice sees these reviews and does something as they are ruining the reputation of a great shawarma go-to.
I bought chicken skewer plate today. And it was delicious!! I didnt know what to get but the lady asked me if I am looking for beef or checken. Also shawarma or skewer. The lady was very nice and friendly. Great customer service and food. I would definitely going back.
First time to order on this place bcuz i usually bring my food to work. Their Food is so delicious and tasty. Service is quick. Thank U.
I am a vegetarian & wanted to try something different at the Eaton Centre food court so I stumbled upon Villa Madina. I got the Super Falafel Sandwich & the size is okayish but the price seems on the higher side. I got the combo with Garlic Potatoes & a can of pepsi. Total was about $17-18 Overall taste was good, hot sauce was even better
I had a super falafel sandwich for lunch. It was the worst I ever had. The falafel & pita were so dry that it was falling apart. The lettuce was not fresh. Not worth $11
Everytime I have gone to this place around lunch time, the asian/filipino lady is very stingy with the portions. I dont usually get the rice and potatoes so my expectation is the box will be filled up with the other salads. I pay around almost 18 bucks for such small portions. I asked her to put an extra salad because I was not getting the rice and potatoes and she asked me to pay. Why would I pay when the box is still empty. Its the same lady every time, I think she is Filipino. I have gone to other locations in downtown and Mississauga, the people working there are very generous. I will def not be going here again when I can get more food for the money they are charging.
WORST PORTIONS EVER. I ordered a regular classic poutine and the guy took out a small cube shaped box. I already regretted the decision then. Then when I received it, it was only HALF FULL and drowning in sauces, wasn t enough adequate amount of fries. I asked for more and the lady said only 100 grams like WHAT. wasnt even just me, I saw a guy order a small wrap and it was $10 and it was like 15cm. They re just ripping you off. Won t go back ever.
Didnt give napkins even after I asked nicely bc I apparently didnt order.
Had the gyros and while you got a large portion of meat it was quite dry and honestly looked old. Very limited selection of toppings as well. Service quick as I was the only one there and the gyro mert wasn t even heated up any more then sitting in the warming pan. Pita was fresh and service was decent UPDATE as you see the reply from the owner below. So I took the time to email this company as they requested me to do so. It took their head office a month and a half to respond to the email that they requested of me and did nothing to rectify the situation so reduced my rating from three stars to two stars. They do not know what customer service is from a corporate standpoint
The service was really poor, long wait. Poor behaviour.
I should have checked the reviews before ordering from here. Two issues: 1) look at the portion size of the roxbox ($10-$11), its an absolute joke. 2) there is no quality control on their meat. A good portion of my chicken was inedible due to it being burnt. I wouldnt order from here again.
Order through Uber eats, bad food quality and very small size
Ordered the 2 can dine on Uber. We paid $5 for baklava, received only one and it was the size of a postage stamp. Charged us over a dollar for one pita. Tabbouleh was just a box of parsley, no veggies no bulgur, nothing. Portions were crazy small. Dont waste your money.
Good Chicken Shawarma wrap. Friendly service too. I will definitely come back and try other stuff.
This is indeed the WORST Villa Madina location because of the franchisees/owner at this location. The portion size is HORRIBLE. I don t know how much money the owner saves by cutting down on salad . It was mentioned to her several times yet she fails to understand, remains stubborn and continues with the same cold and ignorant attitude. She is ungrateful and is very capable of providing POOR customer service. This was my last visit, I d rather go to Fairview mall or STC, where they actually care about serving the customer than stealing money. Thank you
Expensive but the portion is totally not worth the money
I purchased a super chicken sandwich wrap from Villa Madina, and I must say I was disappointed. The wrap contained barely 3% chicken and it was bunrt, with the majority being lettuce and seemingly air. The lack of substantial chicken left the overall taste and satisfaction quite underwhelming.
Worst chicken shawarma I ve ever had. There was no chicken in it. All I could taste was veggies. Their super chicken shawarma was small I wonder how small would be the normal one. They should name it vegetable shawarma instead . Not worth the price. Wouldn t suggest to anyone.
Smallest super size rice box around!!!!!! The portions in this place is ridiculously small!!!! Even when getting super size!! Cant belive it! It was my first time ordering here and will be my last! Osmows has much bigger portion and same price!
Really really yummy.
old tasteless food. my rice was old, sticky, and had a weird color to it. honestly one of the worst shawarma i have had in a while.
I love the foods here! It s a lot of food compared to the price! Also, the salads are fresh and tasty.
Horrible customer service. Absolutely unbelievable. Cancelled my order twice after 40 minutes.
I go there often for lunch. Jennifer and Mary are polite and friendly. Mary also prepares excellent shawarma wraps. I customize my order and her shawarma wraps are perfect. I recommend this location of Villa Madina because of good food and nice people.
One of the best chicken shawarma poutines Ive ever had Very sad that it is closed in yorkdale mall.
The service is always quick and friendly. The food is fresh and served in recyclable containers. Good place for good, healthy servings.
Are all villa madinas falling off? I remember 10 years ago, they actually give you a good portion of meat
Roxbox supersize is small and didnt taste good at all.
Clean, light and fresh shawarma
Everything is off about this place. Even the people who work here. They have the smallest portions in town. Don t know if the ladies are cutting portions for themselves to take home at night. Rice and chicken dry. Asked me to pay extra to add humus and when I did - she gave me half a spoon for $1. It s quite ridiculous really. They are even cheap on the sauces. And when you ask for more they reply to you in the rudest possible manner. Their wraps are 2.5/5 honestly, but their rokox is possibly the worst shawarma over rice Ive had in town. Best to avoid this :)
First time trying. Had the chicken and beef shawarma wrap. The lady was very nice and food was delicious more sauce I love the sauce
They give you a small portion I asked for a large size poutine and they gave me a portion of a regular sized one. Poutine fries were uncooked and the gravy was very watery and disgusting.
Quality mediocre
ordered from uber eats and compared to other villa madina locations this one is terrible . the sauces taste old and are super watery. the overall flavor of everything is off. portion size is small compared to other locations.
Ordered Lunch at Villa Madina Yonge Sheppard and look how the word Gourmet Food looks like..Yum...Perfection...
staffs are the best you can find anywhere
Great food.
Good portions of food and good taste, beef shwarma is their best item.
On this episode of halal hunters; Two Filipino titas cook fire up the food court version of chicken pon di rocks lite. Enter: THE ROCKBOX.
Interesting menu and theyre reasonably priced. Servings were bigger than I thought, and taste is good. Nearly cried from joy from their freshly-served chicken shawarma after weeks of eating cold leftovers at home. Perfect for people looking for Halal food.
Great spot for lunch especially if you work nearby. I came here for a lunch break and the chicken shawarma sandwich is awesome. Super juicy and crispy chicken with great veggies and sauces added in the wrap. The staff is super helpful and asks for your preferences of spice and veggies. Definitely a great place for a snack/meal!
Nice customer service. Live the food. Love the people over there.
Food is pretty good but they are horrible at wrapping shawarmas. I always end up unravelling everything and eating my wrap with a fork. I could have bought a shawarma plate for that
The worst quality ever.
They give you half the amount of food you get from other VMs and the food quality is terrible!
They have a great food here in the Sheppard Centre. I usually pick up the chicken shawarma with rice and it tastes very good. The portion size is right. Customer service was very quick today around 1 pm.
Food is dry no taste and the amount you get of meat is just offensive, do your selfs a favor buy anything else in the food court. thank me later
TERRIABLE SERVICE. GAVE MY ORDER TO SOMEONE ELSE. AVOID THIS PLACE.
I just ordered full size of meal with falafel balls and so disappointed with the proportion of ingredients in it. Probably 4 strips of chicken and no salad, with extra cost on everything like a sauce... I had ordered exact same menu from other locations so I know what I shouldve getting it.
At first, everything seems normal for a chain store, and the staff are nice, but the food is truly awful. Dry, over-salted meat, wilting veggies and soggy wrap. Ive eaten here a couple times thinking that maybe they were having an off day, but its been consistently bad.
Second time I went here and they gave me an EXPIRED humus . It taste so bad , not worth 16 cad and they give little portion compared to other branch. Friendly people but the food quality sucks. Please improve it, it is a semi expensive price already and you will just give an expired food.
So fresh and so clean! The owner does a great job along with staff in giving the best service, and quality ingredients. Ill be back!
The food here is amazing and people serving it are more awesome.
Im really a fan of shawerma and Mediterranean food and i believe this is the Best shawerma Ive ever had! Also the people are so friendly and you just enjoy the customer service Thank you guys!!
Staff (a young girl) very nice, sweet, and helpful. Vegetable choices fresh, nice. But for the meat , not acceptable-- true what said in other reviews--- smelly meat and expired hummus dressing
Awful awful awful!!! Nothing to say just through my money in trash
it is obvious that the owners of this particular Villa Madina dont care about putting care and quality in their food. all they care about is making money. 2nd time ordered from this location and it will be my last. too bad because i usually very much enjoy the food from villa madina (other locations). Great tasting food and amazing service. The salads are always fresh and the meal portions are satisfying. The staff are very professional and courteous. Definitely would recommend them.
I would like to let all customers passing by this mall know, DO NOT EAT HERE it is DISGUSTING. This place should closed for selling garbage food, it s disrespectful to sell this so call food to people. The only reason I did not when back and throw the food at them it s because the cashiers are nice and it s not their fault to serve this nasty food to public. But the owner should get sue for selling garbage.
I love Villa Madina. Every mall I have been to from Quebec to Toronto that i have seen one, its my go to. I love everything about it, the food, the portion sizes, the way they accomodate your preferences. eg. hey i dont want rice and potatoes, can i get some extra salad. every single other Villa Madina. No problem. but this Villa Madina. Yonge Sheppard Villa Madina is by far the worst Villa Madina ever. The portions are miniscule, the food is cold, the meat is burnt. Cold Burnt food? how does that work. make it make sense. The owners of this Villa Madina do not deserve to tarnish such a good brand with their poor service and poor cooking. I wish they would take it away from them and replace with new ownership similar to how they re-did the one at Upper Canada mall and the difference in experience, quality and food is night and day. This location needs an overhaul badly.
The two ladies working on August 13, 2019 around 6:30pm we re very kind and provided incredible service
Horrible experience. Less than half the portions as compared to other villa madina outlets.
Customer service was very bad. I ordered a falafel sandwich and she barely put some of the pickles. Filled it up with lettuce then gave me attitude when I asked for one piece of pickle! I told the cashier about the bad service and he did nothing to fix it. Food was average. I will not be back.
I was wondering how a VM could get only 1.7 on google . It makes sense now . Food taste completely off. Falafel is so dry and old it taste like jerky .Sauce taste like water . Beef and chicken are old and dry, hard to chew . Coleslaw taste like nothing , no dressing . More expensive than other locations. Only one salad in the meal , while other locations give 2. Asked for a cup of water , the cup they give me is not even enough for one sip.AVOID
I only gave this place a try because its literally 1st floor of my apartment. My friends also reported negatively about this branch. When I went, they gave me false information (which I got them to admit) and tried to charge more than the initial agreed deal. Dont support the scammers. There are plenty of ethical businesses around here.
Burnt meat every time. Even after I specifically ask them not to grill it too much, it all tastes like an ashtray They grill, then re grill their skewers. Shame because Lebanese food is usually good. Just not over here.
I ordered a shish taouk wrap, but the person helping me had trouble wrapping the pita with all its contents and it fell apart. She re -wrapped it, but didnt add any sauces to the new wrap. My new wrap completely fall apart when I opened it and the meat was cold. So unimpressed - I dont even want to eat it now.
I got food poisoning from this place. I would suggest staying away
