El Sazón de la Tía Flor in Toronto

I really dont know how this place has anywhere near 4.4 stars. The meat looked like chicken that had been left out for many hours(I ordered pork), very dry, not enough onion or cilantro, very greasy and I felt horrible for hours after eating it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It doesnt matter if youre selling dollar tacos if the food is rotten. Maybe they make fresh food earlier in the day? I went at around 6pm. If the food is stale, you shouldnt be selling it.. in my opinion.

Great food - large portions. Dine in is a must! I d order the Birria with cheese and Shrimp tacos again!! Make sure to specify the number of tacos you are getting or else you ll get 4 large tacos. Food : 5/5

This is a really nice find. The happy colors chosen for the decor exemplify Mexican culture at its best. Even the stairway to the bathrooms are cheery and colorful. The food is as authentic as it gets, super delicious. A must go destination!!

Dollar tacos on Tuesday and Wednesday, they are pretty good and well worth the price

$1 tacos Tuesdays and Wednesdays are unheard of in this day and economy. Not bad, some meats are a bit dry and the pork varieties (e.g. carnita, cochinita, etc.) taste very similar. Friendly cashier/service, however, my order took about 25 minutes to come out (ordered around 6 pm on a Tuesday). Parking: Parking can be a problem/hard to find during $1 tacos Tuesday/Wednesday.

reviews were good so tried them out didnt enjoy it at all & we love mexican food. prices are expensive. flavour lacking. salsa/sauces served in plastic takeout mini containers for dine in. very disappointed.. so wanted to like them as they are local but left with bad flavour in my mouth :(

We went on a Tuesday evening for the 1$ Tacos. It was a bit busy, but we got our food in a timely manner. The tacos are nothing to brag about, theyre just average. The 1$ tacos are very small, I ordered 8 tacos per person to be fulfilled. We got 1 of each flavor, and nothing really stood out. Everything just tasted average to below average.

Its very hot inside, it seems like they dont have air conditioning, the food is delicious but the waitress takes a long time to bring the food.

Family had tacos ordered through delivery but it came without a bag, which is fine, but there was no sticker to seal the box of food either. The food could have easily been tampered with before it reached us. It also didnt come with a receipt to verify/confirm the order like with other vendors. Disappointed with the experience.

I am totally reviewing this based on the $1 tacos you can get o Tuesdays and Wednesdays. First, taco specials on two day. How aewsome is that. Typically, its only one day but they do it back to back days. Second, you can get any combination of meat you want. Again, typically, you have to choose only o e meat and lucky if you can choose two. Here, I get 6 tacos all with different meats. I think they have about 7 to 9 different selections. Let me clear something up for those that think like me. So the tacos come in your traditional corn soft shell with the meat, diced onions and cilantro. On the menu for $1 tacos it says $1 for salsa and $1.50 for cheese. I might have had a dense comment but I assumed it was $1 for salsa and $1.50 for cheese on each tacos which made the $1 tacos day not sound so special. So, its $1.00 for a little container of salsa which I found was perfect amount for 6 tacos. Unless you like to go heavy of the salsa then you might need more. Also, the cheese comes in a slightly larger container than the salsa and again I found it to be enough for 6 tacos. Perfect place for a quick bite at lunch. I have gone twice bow and will be going back again. They also charge extra for lime. Pretty sure its $1.00 for two wedges (half lime). One time they gave them to me by accident but I used it and it did bring the tacos to another level. All in all the tacos are very tasty and you can not beat the price. Highly recommend and see you soon. Cheers

Food is good but this restaurant isnt run professionally at all. My order was two items to be delivered, they canceled 1 item last minute and delivered only 1 meal!!!!! No one called to ask if I wanted a replacement for the out if stock item (Sopes). These people are strangely clueless as how to serve the public. AVOID!

Personally I really liked the birria tacos with the consome. I ve had many birria tacos and felt that they were so dry but the birria tacos here were juicy and $1 as well, bring your own lime instead of buying half of a lime for a $1. This location is def cheaper than the other location because the other location puts tax on each taco which then raises the price up.

Very bad food, it shows that they have no idea what a cochinita pibil is, the meat of this one had neither flavor nor color, the tortilla of the pinched one was raw, the guarache came with the same tasteless meat that they gave me as cochinita pibil, the supposed barbecue It is boiled pork bathed in a kind of boiled tomato sauce, the smell and taste is disgusting I do not recommend it nor will I ever return

Delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. The pork marinated in pineapple juice was too salty though. Too bad they were out of horchata!

The food was salty, I ordered some chilaquiles and a cochinita cake tasted nothing but salt.

Nice restaurant, nice staff, horrible parking lot. Had the Mexican burrito. Absolutely huge! It comes dressed in sauces which are the colour of the Mexican flag. Flavour was good. It could have been hotter, but the table service was fast and the dimensions of the thing was large. The place is bright and colorful. The menu has lots of choice. I loved the Spanish music. Not a fancy place, but you should enjoy it. Parking: Tight parking with only a few spots. There were cars illegally parked on the day we went which made things more difficult.

Lived up to the hype. I d recommend the pollo. One of the 3 salsas they provide could actually be a bit hotter.

Was a little skeptical because of the location and area around, but their food hit different when looking for authenticity. Very refreshing taste, home type ambiance, friendly workers and hardworking. Going to keep visiting.

Caught the sign as I was driving by...turns out they have $1 taco Tuesdays/Wednesdays so I couldnt resist. Tacos were average IMO, but an excellent deal none the less. Will have to try out the rest of the menu a regular day and maybe Ill bump that score up

The $1 tacos on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are very delicious and the portions are generous. I also tried the enchiladas, tres leches cake and horchata drink and they were very flavourful and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and tables were clean. I would (and have) recommend this place to everyone I know because its a total gem.

We ordered enchiladas and the menu said it comes with rice and beans and we just got beans and the beans were white. Also they dont have all the meats. My son wanted chicken and it wasnt possible. This is my first time writing a review but I dont want other people feel as I was feeling while eating there. Definitely I DONT RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANT.

My another favorite find through TIKTOK. Tuesday & Wednesday are the days you should visit to this place as they offer $1 any tacos. Each Taco is not to big not to small in size. I got 2 veggie and 1 chicken taco and have to say both were soo goood in taste. Will keep coming to this place.

Very authentic and delicious place. Try the Chicharrón tacos. Theyre fantastic. And they have $1 tacos on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Dont forget to try the 3 leches cake. I totally recommend it.

A hidden gem for tacos and other Mexican delights.

We happened to catch ordering some quick take out right before they were closing at 7PM. The lady was kind enough to take our orders around 10 minutes before the end of the day. There were not a lot of menu options available to get at this time, and we were limited to ordering the Pastor Taco & I think the Chicken Taco. Both orders were good and looked good. The tacos came with 2 sauces. Probably, the only minor thing I can comment on that did not go right was that the lady did not include any napkins/tissues in the take out bag. We would have appreciated having some included for our takeout because we had the tacos to go and ate it at a park somewhere else. I will surely try to experience dining in some time in the future. The interiors were themed right, and the place was very homey. I also can only expect some good and personable service received from the restaurant.

My quest to find the best Tacos in the GTA continues and brought me here. Its a nice little shop with tables to dine at, I ordered to go with a friend and wasnt Disappointed. Order the Pastor and Birria Tacos and they were great. I like the Birria Beef Tacos with the little consommé they give you. The consommé really hydrates and carries the Birria Beef Tacos. This was a nice authentic taco experience in the GTA. I would recommend this place. At full price. They also have $1 Tacos on Tuesday, so if on the fence try it then. 8/10, and 3rd place on my best Tacos in GTA.

Finally found a place with proper sized tacos!! Im tired of all these open faced burritos with massive tortillas masquerading as tacos!! Only thing they are missing is a double tortilla. The flavor is amazing! Edit: Came for for the 1$ tacos, stayed for the the amazing food. Tried a few other items on the menu since the first visit. So far everything is incredable! We found this place 2 years ago. They have the $1 tacos every Tuesday & Wednesday. We ve tried the pastor, chorizo, carnitas, and carne ranchera. They used to give lime with the order but now you have to buy it. We also tried the birria soup it was $2 for a mini portion of it but my sister think it s delicious. I remember they used to have delicious desserts too but they didn t have anything last time we came to visit. I used to get the hot salsa too and it used to burn my mouth but I guess they watered it down now. Overall, it is $1 taco every Tuesday & Wednesday so what else can you ask for. Vegetarian options: They have veggie tacos

Cant go wrong for $1 Taco Tuesday!! It was our first time there, so we had to navigate all the amazing Taco choices. Needless to say, it was busy in there that day, but staff were friendly and helpful with all our taco questions. And the tacos did not disappoint! Will definitely be back!

Food is fabulous. Minus 1 star because this restaurant DESPERATELY needs at least 1 server. You cannot operate a restaurant with cooks alone, which is what this establishment seems to be attempting. Or at least allow a person who arrives for pick-up to INFORM that they have arrived.

I grew up eating street food in Corona,Queens and this is one of the few spots in Toronto that reminds me of my old neighborhood. Love coming here.

I went in there , paid 28$ for one drink and 4 beef tacos and they were horrible ! No flavour whatsoever ! Really simply made . I was hungry so I ate two and threw away the other two . Never again .

Ive been searching for Mexican food of this caliber in Toronto since moving here from LA. I was starting to lose hope and then I stopped here one day - best tacos Ive had in Toronto so far. Im happy to have an excuse to stop here now that I am frequenting the area. I recommend the chorizo, cochinita pibil and birria tacos. Looking forward to trying the chilaquiles, tortas, enchiladas and tamales as well. If youre searching for good authentic Mexican food like I was, definitely give this place a look!

I could only recommend a few things listed below, as I havent tried everything - but plan on it! The food is authentic, delicious, nicely spiced and portions are filling. I love their guac & chips, tacos and burritos. The atmosphere is cheerful and colorful. So happy they are in the neighborhood!

Came for the $1 tacos which happens on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They were small tacos with very little on it (no cheese) but the taste was good. However, the price of drinks was higher than other places. It was busy but staff were efficient. There was seating in the restaurant and a washroom on site

Taco Tuesday is the best

LOVE this place. A total hidden gem. $1 tacos on Tuesday and Wednesday. They do charge quite a bit for their sauce and lime ($1 for half a lime) but with tacos only a $1 they do have to recoup costs somehow. There is also a fee for disposal plastics. The cashier is so sweet. I ve never seen her be impatient with anyone especially as it can get really busy during lunch hours. So happy to be able to support this mom and pop shop.

Came on a Tuesday around 1:00pm for their $1 Tacos. Cant go wrong with tacos in Toronto for only $1. Tried almost every single one on the menu, the Birria and Al Pastor were the 2 that I thought were the best. Latin music was playing in the restaurant, and the place only had about 5 tables, very cozy but worth it!

We have always liked to go to eat there at the Oconnor branch and we have also ordered to take home, but this last time it was somewhat uncomfortable being there, since they had like a family gathering and everyone went in and out to the kitchen, putting things in, They came in without masks, they left, the truth is that the situation did not do us any good, it was fine while they were outside, the mornings for the staff and so on, but seeing that everyone came and went was not pleasant, in fact on one occasion they even hit me husband because they couldnt fit in when passing by :(, the food is still good but that situation made us quite uncomfortable.
