Eatery with a bustling patio & bright, snug interior, serving classic Mexican fare & margaritas.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed the food so much I forgot to take any pictures of it haha. The sauces were delicious. The tacos were simple yet flavourful. There was a man singing beautifully outside. The servers were very attentive and friendly. We ordered 1 order of the Al Pastor and 1 of the Lengua. Which was enough food for the two of us. Both were very good but I preferred the Al Pastor. I also ordered a Ojo Rojo which I really liked but warning it’s very salty and sour. And my boyfriend ordered the Jamaica homemade tea which he really liked. All in all it was a very good experience and I would go again.
I’ve passed by this taco place many times and noticed it's always busy, especially in the summer. Finally I tried their diced beef tongue (lengua) tacos, guacamole and chips, which were very delish, along with the queso that was light and tasty. -The cake/pastel dessert was incredibly moist, and you could really taste the cream in every bite. We also tried the Jamaica and Horchata drinks for the first time, and they were both refreshing. The service was super friendly too. It's great to have a spot like this in the neighborhood. I can’t wait to come back!! This place feels like home :)
Cool mexican place right in the heart of Kensington market right across the street from the musician corner so you may get an extra treat! Service was pretty quick considering every take outside on the patio was taken. The patio faces West so you get some sun too!
Great place to grab a bite in Kensington Market! I ordered the 5 mix & match tacos which were delicious. We started off with Frozen Margaritas (lime, guava and strawberry were all great) with an added tequila popsicle which did not disappoint! Would definitely recommend!
What a wonderful spot for a simple date! Especially after a great day walking through the Kensington Market! The tacos were savoury and satisfying, and the guacamole was smooth and flavourful! We weren't disappointed at all. Our server was very friendly and patiently walked us through the menu. We'll definitely make this a regular stop whenever we come down this way...
I heard that this place has a real Mexican food and I expected more than the thing in real experience. We ordered homemade drinks and it was like a sweet drink and nothing especial. 🤷🏻♀️ so I wish I could write better about my experience but it wasn’t anything special 😐
This is an authentic Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is great, the service is amazing, very warm and welcoming. I do feel like they still have to improve the food. I was disappointed by their pastor tacos, for a place called “el trompo” I had high expectations about their pastor, but it did not feel like it was actually cook on a trompo. Horchata was amazing, but their cafe de olla was tasteless, didn’t have any cinnamon or piloncillo notes, was just a watery coffee. I also didn’t like that they don’t let you mix your tacos, even if you offer to pay more. I wanted to try different flavour of tacos and they refused to mix them saying that it was already portion. I just want their quality of service to match their quality of food.
I tried their El Pastor tacos and it did not disappoint! This is certainly one of the better taco places here in Toronto. The atmosphere and vibe reminded me of my trip to Mexico. Will definitely come back!
Quite underseasoned, dry and shell was doughy. No sauce. Medicore at best. Also was at event were their food truck was there. Same taste across the board, wish it was better
Food is ok, service is great
The food was absolutely delicious! And the ladies are so sweet and welcoming!
Unfortunately very average. Always looking for that kicker when it comes to Mexican food. Unfortunately we didnt get it here.
Great food, authentic ambience, great price. I had the fish tacos and the pork one. Both were delicious. I particularly loved the fish one , it was fresh, juicy and flavorful. They had a hot sauce ( it is really really spicy) that just made everything better. Also, the Mexican Coffee, i highly recommend. Definitely going back again. Edit: oct/2024 The taste and quality of food has gone down from the last couple years back I visited. The food is good but not as great as few years back. It was mind blowing. This time around it tasted good but nothing unique to other places in town.
The place is very cozy, the staff is very attentive and what can we say about the food: delicious
The food was delicious! So was the beer. Staff were super friendly and the service was quick. Cramped patio but nice and cozy for a sunny fall day.
I currently live in Vancouver, but a few days ago I traveled to Toronto, and I found this place where I was impressed!! The food is excellent, totally Mexican flavor ., the customer service is very good, the girls are very friendly, I recommend it 100% if you are looking for good Mexican food!! I will definitely return!!
We didnt actually eat here, as we were too full tasting all the delights walking through Kensington Market, but we were impressed with the live performance despite the chilly althougth sunny afternoon. After reading all the reviews, will definitely come back to try the food!
The staff here are so kind and the tacos are some of the best tacos I have ever had. Very authentic, we will definitely be back!
My wife and I had a blast going up and down Kensington this Sunday. We were kind of unsure if we were hungry but the singer in front of this place called us in. Amazing tacos. Super quick service. Friendly. Lovely place. Well priced. Try the beef tongue tacos!
Service was good but the good overprice and super small portions
I ordered the pastor tacos (5) along with an horchata water and they were good specially for the price, honestly really worth it although I would ve preferred to pay maybe $1 more but getting more lime, 1/6 of a lime for 5 tacos is too little. My other complaint, would just be that probably their dishwasher was due for a proper cleaning as my cup smelled funny every time I had a sip. Overall, a good experience.
Worst skies ever. I dont know about tacos but if esquites arent good, not sure about tacos. Came to try out at Nathan square Philips, because authentic Mexican food, but the chilli is not Mexican taste like Indian chilli not piquín or tajin. - I zero recommend the worst experience and the worst 9 dollars spent in my life for an esquite that tastes smoked without lemon, and without Mexican flavor without chili piquín or tajin. Just mayonnaise, a little cheese and a chili that tastes like Indian food that they sell for 1 dollar in the supermarket, I doubt that the tacos will be good if the esquite is terrible. I know it sounds cruel but fair. I only came to Nathans in Square on a Mexican night looking for an Esquite that was closest to a Mexican one but I found the opposite.
I would like to say that the food is good, the service is also good but what after many times of going there seemed to me to be in very bad taste was that they charge me $2.50 for more limes for my food. We Mexicans know that taco is served with vegetables, salsa, and lime. For an order of 5 tacos they cannot give you 1 slice of 1/10 of lime. Maybe you can tell people who dont know about tacos that just 1/10 slice of lime goes with 5 tacos. Not to Mexicans. Be careful with these details that seem insignificant but are not.
The food was very good, we enjoyed it very much. I recommend the fajitas, abundant with 8 tortillas. Excellent attention!
I love the food and service in this restaurant. Best horchata EVER!!!!
Tacos are decent but the portions are quiet small (everyone at the table was still hungry after eating 5). The price is okay, but if a set of five tacos is listed, it would make sense to assume thats enough for a whole meal?
Food was horrible, over priced and under delivered, supposed to be authentic Mexican but its all microwaved .
Great food, excellent customer service and great atmosphere.
This review goes to my friend who worked at the place and was mistreated by the owner of the place, when she hired her she was very vulgar and belittled my friend for not being Mexican, she made it clear that he only hired Mexicans so they were doing him a favour (my friend is from Ecuador), secondly she did not allow her to keep any of her tips so technically she stole from her, after a week of working there she was fired without explanation. I hope you treat your future employees better.
I used to work at that place, the owner is a horrible lady that mistreats her employees and kept all my tips for herself, I was fired with justification but Im glad, horrible place and food is not that good.
Small tacos expensive, way better places nearby
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! Yesterday my husband and I went to dinner believing in the marketing of their ads, to our disappointment they were the worst tacos we have tried in Toronto. They give a quarter of lemon per order, super small and tasteless tacos, the tortilla has nothing to do with it, the sauces look like water, the only exception was the treatment of the waitresses.
Its okay to have some tacos, approx $12 for 5 tacos. Depending on which one you ask for. Good service. They have tequila shots and Mexican beers.
Very underrated place, a must go-to in Kensington
The best chicken tacos I ve ever had ! The staff is very friendly, too!
Very cute terrace with live music. Great food and drinks. Friendly staff! Will be back
The best tacos I have ever had!!!! The Al Pastor is amazing and our waitress was so nice. Definitely would come here again!!!
Beef tongue tacos!
Great prices, good quality and amazing sauces great service too!
Meats in Tacos very dry. excellent service
I m Mexican and this tacos are terrible! Better go to Chipotle really! It has no taste at all!.
Food was bland and the drinks didnt taste very good. Service was okay. Probably wont come back.
Legendary spot. Pastor tacos are delicious. Servers are great. Drinks are tasty. Cant miss Food
Must be Mexican embassy in Toronto: amazing experience.
I have tried a lot of taco places in Toronto but El Trompo will always be unmatched. Best tacos in the city!
Best tacos and fajitas
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! It would be criminal to not order Al Pastor tacos at El Trompo, and I particularly love the sweet acidity the pineapple brings to cut through some of the fat from the pork meat.
My wife and I had guacamole tacos and tortillas with mushrooms here, and both were excellent!
Great food and service. Already cant wait to come back.
Food is always tasty but the portions are smaller now in 2024. Great patio for people watching.
El Trompo is iconic, not gonna lie. Tacos are delicious, they have some guisados others dont like lengua, they make their own tortillas out of corn. Its a pretty authentic experience. But most importantly 15 for 5 tacos???? Thats insanely good!
The food is amazing and really tastes like authentic Mexican food, especially the tortillas. Every server is always super nice and helpful.
Been a Favorite of mine for a few years now! Great service
Corporate Lunch and they hired El Trompo truck and it was good.
The service was excellent. The food has a good amount of spice The dogs were allowed on the patio. The Tequila popsicle were perfect in the margaritas
An excellent restaurant with very friendly service.
Top! Great Mexican food. Perfect for a quick lunch
Terrible place, owners with a very bad vibe, terrible tacos...I would not return
This was disappointing. The food was bland. My daughter and I were taken advantage of. When I asked for the bill, they didnt bring the bill, just the machine. We had 2 dishes, $75 ..... What? I just felt we were taken advantage of.
Seriously upsetting I ordered something that had a description of grilled cheese and it was literally a piece of fried cheese, terrible description! This was my whole meal for $8.50 including tax. For being one of the few vegetarian options available, it was terrible - even if it wasn t actual grilled cheese, it was upsetting that there wasn t anything else with it and it was simply fried cheese. Also, my two friends both ordered guacamole and were only given one small bowl of chips to share between the two of them and had to request more. Extremely disappointing.
Been coming here for over a decade and the food is always great! Got the beef fajitas for the first time and it was delicious. You could definitely share it with someone as well.
Can you say hot, authentic, delicious food----what a little gem in the K market Our hostess was amazing and made superb recommendations. Everything was spot on!
The fish taco was dry. Orchata and Jamaica cocktail were way too sweet and tasted chemical. The cactus salad is a pickled salad from a can. We left quickly without finishing our drinks. But the service was very friendly.
The atmosphere and server were excellent, interesting area and our server was very prompt and pleasant. The food is bland and overpriced for the size of serving you receive. I suspect that the folks that are saying this is authentic Mexican cuisine havent actually had any authentic Mexican cuisine. Super disappointing
Went here for a meal with a client and my assistant. Was lovely. The quesadilla I had was delicious. Thats all I had, but it was lovely.
The best tortillas in Canada
Recommend mixed tacos.
Great little patio and excellent margs
Great tacos.
Delicious food, friendly service.
The prices do not correspond to what they charged me!! and when I asked for the itemized bill, they did not give it... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, IT IS A THEFT.
This is hands down the BEST place my family and I have ever gone! Been going over 13 years now and we travel all the way from Brampton Ontario by bus at least once a year to go there. And every year they remember us and treat us like family! The best food! And the most inviting staff. ALWAYS a pleasure!! We hope to see you guys around for MANY YEARS to come!! Kid-friendliness: Completely kid and family friendly!!!
The food is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful and inviting, and the staff is 2nd to none. Ive been coming here for 13 years now and everytime we find ourselves in Toronto, we always stop back in with the kids. If there is one restaurant in all of Toronto you need to try, its El Trompo
Unfortunately, the food did not have a ton of flavor to it. The chicken tacos were very dry and lacked flavor. The service was not that great either, unfortunately. We ordered takeout and they would not let us sit at the table to eat. We were told this in a very rude manner and tone, even though every table was free.
Amazing food, even better service. Will come back!
never disappoints
Tiny taco for the price of regular taco price what a rip off. Its not worth eating in this place.
I love el trompo. Originally for their margaritas but I just love going there cause they have live bands and the decor takes me right to Mexico. I love the lady that owns the place, shes the friendliest owner ever. So kind and personable. Its literally the first place I recommend when friends wants to get together. Love it!
11/10 beef tongue tacos, waitress super nice and fast
This is my favourite place in Toronto! The food is always fresh and tasty and Lucy the owner is a ray of sunshine everytime I come. I ll be back soon :)
Good quantity for the price
Place was full and looked great. Unfortunately the drinks and food were awful. Frozen margaritas were just warm juice with no alcohol. Tacos were dry and bland. Super small. Prob worst I ve ever had. Was really disappointed.
The tacos at this place are undeniably authentic, packed with flavor and spices that transport you straight to Mexico. Overall great service, good food, and atmosphere
Simply fantastic! Charming service and delicious food! We ordered and ate, all in under 20 minutes. We cant wait to go back!
Food was good. We got pozole (a little watery but ok), tacos al pastor (those were good), the cheese with chorizo was also good. Overall good, service was good and the atmosphere too. I will come back sometime.
We recently had a house party and had the El Trompo taco truck cater for our guests. It was a PHENOMENAL HIT!! The food was all so soooo delicious, the service was above and beyond what I expected, and our guests loved it! Highly recommend El Trompo, well definitely be back at the restaurant AND bringing the truck back for future events. Thank you so much to the El Trompo team!
Best taco place with reasonable prices in the city. Really good atmosphere and service.
I give it one star because I cant give less . The food is HORRIBLE, zero flavor, the cold tortilla, the guacamole is less fresh than the ones they sell packaged in the supermarket, the owner is the rudest person in the world, especially with her employees, she treats them worse than prisoners it really is a terrible place, walk around some more meters and they reach tacos Gus
Terrible service, terrible food, terrible portions, terrible attitude from what seemed to be the owner and after the bad experience it still hurt me. Very close to the place is Tacos Gus and Tacos 101, so you can enjoy some good tacos. P.S. They give you a slice of lemon all dry and small, if you want more lemon they charge you an extra portion.
Good
Food no flavor Wheelchair accessibility: None Recommended dishes Jamaica, Fish Taco
We booked the food truck for a corporate event, and everyone was so impressed The tacos were excellent, service was fast, and staff were extremely polite. 10/10 I recommend Food
AMAZING!!! We stopped here for lunch while exploring the area, so glad we did. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. This place deserves 5 stars. Thank you El Trompo for a PERFECT dinning experience.
Excellent service, super tacos al Pastor
Ironically, the tacos al pastor are complete garbage. Better to go to other places in Kensington Market if you really want decent Mexican food
I have never had a better Taco than at El Trompo. Thank you for having me
The original taco place in the market. The guacamole is the best!
Guac With chips was great! Al pastor tacos were a let down as there small and dont have a lot going on inside them
Super delicious quesadillas! Very authentic flavor
they do not play this place is peak fr
Awesome! Highly recommend
I really wanted to like this place, it has some rustic charm and the staff are all very friendly. The food seems affordable as you are served plates of five tacos at a time, which could be great for sharing. The biggest problem is that many of the tacos are just not very good, but you wont know that until you have tried the first one of five on your plate. The second problem is that the portion sizes are very small, a typical adult will need at least 10 tacos, so the apparently reasonable prices end up being not so reasonable after all. The third problem is that they sometimes have live singers performing during dinner time, which should be wonderful, but the place is very small and the sound system is loud and terrible. It is impossible to talk over the music and it makes the dining experience very uncomfortable and cringeworthy. I tried going twice to be sure, but unfortunately will not go back.
Place is dope
Been coming here for over 15 years and still my favourite Tacos in Toronto. Always friendly, super fresh and homemade tortillas. The best!
This has been my go-to place for tacos lately! Their Al Pastor is juicy and flavourful, and good value! Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food
I had the best experience here. The food was incredible and the staff just blew me away. I assume it was the owner who came up to me to thank me for coming, she was so so kind and so appreciative. This place is a must visit!!
Small portions and lack of flavour. The worse sauces, just like water.
Good tacos, pleasant terrace, decent service, homemade bread. The cheese quesadillas lacked flavor. Good place for a lunch on the terrace in the sun if you are in the Kensington district.
The truth is that it makes me sad that they treat their employees very badly. He yells at them all the time and is very despotic with them and they are a shame for that great nation that is Mexico, it does not deserve that gastronomy if it does not even respect its own people.
Delicious authentic Mexican tacos. Friendly service, very clean space, lots of good options. Would recommend!!
Pozole soup (only saturday) is really good. Attention very warm y prices fair. For my taste perfect spicy balance (not too hot)
Food was delicious & authentic. Tasted like abuelita s cooking . Will be returning for sure.
Amazing. Some sweetness might compliment. HIGHLY recommend the bean soup.
Great
Mediocre cuisine. The driest tacos of my life. While the texture was satisfactory, the lack of flavor left much to be desired, leaving me yearning for a more fulfilling dining experience.
El Trompo is our go-to taqueria! Always great food, beverages, and ambiance. The staff are very attentive and the service is amazing. You wont be disappointed!
Tacos are great. The al pastor are my fave, very authentic, the lengua tacos are also good. Service is not the greatest because the servers arent the friendliest. We got the taco combo with the beans, beans were flavourless, we didnt like them at all. We came with our baby, they had no high chairs (do not expect to be accomodated if you come with a child that needs one). We also asked if we could have ONE tortilla for the baby and they said we needed to get 4 of them for $3.50 - it was for A BABY!!! Overall, if you want authentic mexican tacos, its a good spot, however, dont expect the best service.
Great selection of tacos.
I was looking for Nachos al pastor but I had to choose tacos, I had to order more tacos, 5 weren t enough to me, I was too hungry
5/5 for the Al Pastor and Lengua tacos. The Al Pastor was delicious with the pineapple bits in the mix and the beef tongue was super tender. We also got a Jamaica and a Tamarindo. They were both really nice drinks to complement our dinner. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely! It really felt like we were sitting at a taco shop in Mexico. Would go back again to try other items in their menu including brunch!
Love this place. Wish I could go more often but I live an hour a way. Ive never had anything but the loveliest of meals there.
Is a great place for Tacos and other food. Tried 5 different Tacos and loved all of them. Such a good vibe outdoor patio restaurant in the heart of kensington market.
Great patio for people watching. Good selection of food.
Lots of patio space, but the tables are small and rather sticky. The servers seem to speak minimal English, so we knew it would be authentic. The menu is extensive! I got the al pastor tacos and my friend got a quesadilla. The tacos were small, well seasoned. However, they were definitely dry and needed some sauce or something. The taco shells seemed doughy in a bad way, like they were raw??? Anyways, I was still hungry afterwards, and they were not cheap, almost $20 after tax and tip. My friend said their quesadilla was only ok. Probably wont go to this join again, since other reviewers had a similar issue as me.
From. Mexican, I can say that this place serves a good tasty Mexican Street food. I tried the chorizo tacos and pastor tacos and were delicious!!! I was pleased to find this real flavor faraway from Mexico, service was polite, and my order to go was ready really quick.
Succulent Mexican street food.
Very disappointed with their food truck! They left without coming to our office when I confirmed that they were stopping by. Their food truck was catering at the office next to us and asked them if they can stop by our office after their event. I confirmed with both men that they were coming and told them that I have a few co-workers who were going to be ordering as well. They even mentioned that they dont have a machine and that it would be cash. THEY NEVER CAME!!! I had people waiting!!! VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!
This is a good spot with decent food and excellent service and atmosphere. Nachos and quesadillas are awesome but I want a fan of mushroom tacos as they re pretty bland. All in all it s a good spot and we d visit again to try other food items on the menu.
The decor screams Mexican restaurant. The tacos are reasonably priced and well made. We had chorizo and Al Pastor. The chorizo was spicy and filled with meat. We will go back!
The people who served us were not friendly.
Great horchata, chorizo tacos, flan, guacamole. Cactus salad wasn t very good. Really nice ambience. Food comes out really quickly, and tastes fresh and flavourful.
I went to El Trompo last week for the first time with friends and Im sorry to say it wasnt a good experience. I arrived first and was expecting more 3 people, but they only assigned me a table with 3 seats and when the 4th one arrives they would change our table. The table was very small in the patio, barely fit the food. We ordered margaritas it wasnt bad but not good either, also one of the glasses base was broken. There were a lots of wasps going in our margarita. The food wasnt surprising. The atmosphere inside was good, the bathroom was cleaned. The food was average.
Great tacos and patio
Really good authentic Mexican food
This place is the closest authentic Mexican taco you will get. The staff is friendly and patient, but the food is fantastic. I ve been coming here for 15+ years and I m so happy to see them expanding. Really well deserved!
Loved this authentic Mexican spot! The food here always absolutely delicious, and the staff were welcoming and helpful Thank you for a great experience!!
Good food, great service
Great fresh food , very nice waitresses interesting Margaritas variety ( we had Tamarind margaritas: quite good)
Excellent food so flavorful and well worth the visit to Kensington Market....
Not authentic enough, kinda westernized. Portions were small and pricey. Couldnt get a reciept but it seemed off. Anyway, location was nice though. Im saying this as someone whos family owns a restaurant with Mexican/latin food. I did not enjoy it one bit. There was a lack of flavor and againnn awfully small portions for the price. Be better.
Great service! The waitstaff are Very attentive and very nice . And the Torillas are the best . I m very judgmental of my corn Torillas. Since I m Canada it hard to get good one . But these were great!
Wonderful real Mexican food, tasty, excellent service!
Al pastor tacos were dry and tasteless, and they make you buy Min 5 they were all bad and I don t have room left for good tacos. To top it off- a bottle of Dos Equis is $9
We wanted to have a good proper first Mexican experience, and we got it! What we had: Al Pastor Tacos Chorizo Tacos Cochinita Pibil Tacos Gringa Quesadillas Portion: We were two people who have a big appetite, and the food portion was reasonable. Food: Between the 4 choices that we had, our favorites were the Al Pastor Tacos and the Gringa Quesadillas. They both had the right amount of flavor and spiciness, and they were super juicy! The sauces they have on the side are also very good and definitely compliment the food. Staff: Everyone was very helpful and always smiling, making it even more inviting. Atmosphere: The images will speak for themselves, but the place was perfectly decorated with little elements scattered all over the place, and the colors are beautiful! The bathroom is super clean! Forgot to take photos of the last 2 plates we ordered.
I tried the Sincronizada and it was literally just cheese and deli ham. I was expecting more of a thicker ham. It was bland and small portion for the price. I could easily make it at home. It s a tortilla folded in half like a quesadilla. Literally just cheese and deli ham. The Jamaica was very refreshing though. They also gave our dog some water which was appreciated.
El Trompo is one of my favourite Mexican restaurants in Toronto. We have been coming here for years. Service is always friendly. Food is always amazing. And is a great excuse to wander around Kensington.
We came here on a whim, but left full and grateful that we chose this establishment over the many options for Mexican food located in Kensington market. The service and ambiance were warm and inviting. The tacos bistec looked so simple on first glance , but were seasoned to perfection and delicious! The horchata is also a great way to end off an authentic meal that felt a lot like being invited into a familys home. I will definitely be back for more and soon!
Yummy and excellent service
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very delicious tacos and Mexican snacks with excellent presentation. Live music on Fridays.
i love this spot. didn t take any photos because i was too excited to eat
Everything was amazing! The service was great and the staff was so friendly and nice. There was an amazing singer providing entertainment. The food was next level amazing we got a selection of tacos and a Michelada very amazing will come back!
Loved this place! Got the hongo tacos and the auga de jamaica and they were great and for a great price too! Vegetarian options: have lots of vegetarian options and a few vegan too! Dietary restrictions: have a lot of gluten free tacos
Really great authentic tacos without the frills, for a good price. Tacos are no stranger to Kensington, but El Trompo will give you that Mexican homey feel once you walk in; It s small space with a lot of character. Extensive menu, and the cocktails are cheap and good.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent! I look forward to many more visits! Vegetarian options: I had the corn quesadillas with mushrooms - was so tasty!!
Its a shame because it is mega Mexican and they are very friendly, but the pastor is not good, without flavor , I dont recommend it!
Very delicious and the waitresses ugh plus one from Puebla
The food is good. Very similar taste to real Mexican food. Service is ok, the only thing I dont like is they take away the dishes as soon as you finish. As if they will be rushing you. Prices are fair, I paid $62 cad for a dinner for 2 people (tax and 15% tip included).
Pozole (only served on weekends) - hominy soup with lettuce and chopped radish garnishes - is excellent. Outstanding dishes: El Pastor tacos and guacamole. Servers are friendly + efficient.
We ordered the El Pastor tacos, chorizo and cochinita pibil which were all fantastic and absolutely mind-blowing. The service was great as well. For dessert we ordered the tres leches cake which had a very funny taste to it and tasted nothing like tres leches. Rest everything was perfect.
Wow, just wow. Best tacos Ive ever had! I recently spontaneously ordered takeout from El Trompo because it was close by and I happened to be too busy to cook that day. They were so good! About $15 for 5 small tacos, so I wish there was a bit more food, but the quality and taste were so good, I really cant complain. It was well worth it. Also the hot sauce was amazing! Id love to know what they put in it. All in all, amazing food. If youre hungry and in the area, its definitely worth a try. I plan to order here again in the future - thats for sure!
