Mexico Lindo in Toronto

This is my favourite restaurant of all time I have been going here since I was little and let me say the family that runs this place is the sweetest the food is amazing and the whole vibe and decorations are so cool this place is the best Mexican restaurant in all of Toronto!

We where looking at Mexican places to go out for dinner at, when my girlfriend and I came across this place..... and.... Well..... We are so happy we picked this place! Its small place and you might miss it it walking by, but inside the place is beautiful! You feel so welcomed in this place and the have a big mirror on the back wall making the place feel so big when sit down. The staff where very friendly and helpful and always seamed to have a smile on. But the food...... O.M.G!!! The food is to die for! I have been to a lot of good Mexican restaurants and this is by far the best. The flavor of the food was just amazing. My girlfriend had the steak fajitas and I had the steak burrito and we where both so moved by the quality and taste of the food. Even the sides on my plate where off the chain! And the drinks.... The Pina colada they service the best Ive ever had. I am drooling as I think of my meal that night. I can say we will go back again and again with this kind of food. If you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant.... You need to go here! You will be doing yourself a disservice if you dont! *Update 4 years Later* This place is still amazing. The quality and consistency is still top level. Me and my now wife try and visit the place at least once a month and we are never disappointed. It is one place we have brought people to and they always love the food.... Hell they go back with out us. hahahaha.

I hate giving good reviews cuz I dont want more people going to the places I like....but this place is good. So reliable and consistent. The guacamole always tastes the same. Its never off or old. Everything is just really good.

Great family style Mexican restaurant. Low on the frills, but high on the value. The food is great every time. The people who work here are also incredibly friendly.

If you want to have Mexican food, this is the place. I am a vegetarian and I love d vegetarian dishes here especially enchiladas. Also, Staff is very friendly. Highly recommended place. :)

This restaurant is your quintessential Mexican place in the neighborhood. Very homely vibes and good food. Dont come here looking for massive quantities but come here and find lovely people who serve you good food.

Dont let the sketchy area hold you back from eating here. The food is flavourful and the staff is very friendly.

Amazing service. Mexican Combo was a good choice to get a variety of dishes to try. Chorinachos is a delicious appetizer if you cant pick. Very big and generous portion sizes that filled the stomach of 2 people. Very reasonable prices

Food was ok. The place could use some work on cleaning and making it brighter. The ceiling tiles look dirty, that makes for a bit of uncomfortable atmosphere where to it . Service is good. People are very nice.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in town! From the beautifully decorated interior, to the cute patio right on Bayview there s a lot to love about Mexico Lindo. I highly recommend the enchiladas!

The best bang for your buck Mexican food in midtown Toronto. Such chill vibes this place is a gem, been coming here for years. Definitely recommend the enchiladas or the chimichanga. The salsa here is so fresh and delicious. Make sure to also get your self a great margarita that pairs so well with the food. Good on the house fresh chips and salsa when you sit down is also really nice.

We had another nice dinner on the Patio at Mexico Lindo, which is one of our local favorites. It s nothing fancy, but it is good quality great tasting food at a reasonable price. The service was fast and polite. We especially enjoyed the Fish and Shrimp tacos, and the margaritas! We will definitely be back.

Very good dinner experience. Everything we ordered was great. Service could have been a bit faster as it wasnt really busy, only 3-4 tables in use. But overall a great meal out. Will definitely return.

Love this cozy happy little festive place. It s been in the neighbourhood for a as long as I have - it s understated and humble but the food is so tasty , service is excellent and the folks who run in work very hard to provide a nice experience. Love the Camarones Borrachos !

The food was great, everything tasted fresh. Definitely recommend the chorizo tacos! Service was good, everything came to the table quickly. Prices are great, definitely a fun date night option.

We come here at least once a month because its simply delicious. Their chimichangas are super tasty. Its a family-owned business and everyone is very friendly. The decoration and music is also great so I highly recommend it.

Good, very good service, delicious, typical Mexican food, .

I m not convinced that everything except for the salad wasn t from the freezer or a can. Including the vegetables. All of the tomato based sauces tasted oddly Italian, and overall, everything was quite bland and store bought tasting.

My boyfriend and I dined here the other day and it was the best Mexican food we ve had. The chicken enchiladas were sooo delicious and well dressed. We definitely will be back!

The food was less than ok! The kids meal had fried chicken which was raw and big not good for kid. staff was friendly though!

This place is so good! love the food, love the service, the environment is great! I wish we had one in my home town and I wish they had an Instagram so I could tell all my followers to check this place out. Definitely would be my go to spot if I lived closer, you should absolutely check this place out, you won t be disappointed.

It was a long wait, also Cinco de Mayo. The drinks were really good the food was great considering how busy it was the service was great.

Delicious! Closest I ve found to an authentic Mexican restaurant in Toronto. Food and portions are good, prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly. We ve had pretty much everything including fajitas, enchiladas, chimichanga and nachos and everything was good. Also their sangria comes in a fishbowl for $9 - absolute steal!

The fajitas were excellent and not expensive like some other restaurants. Beautiful Mexican decor.

Great place for true mexican food and great customer service.

The service is exceptional. I went with my girlfriend to get margaritas, which were good (nothing too special). The smell of the food made us want to stay, but the food was just ok. I ordered chorizo enchiladas which I can promise you was Italian fennel sausage and also lacked sauce. My girlfriend ordered the steak (was my first choice) and the flavour of the green sauce and shrimp were fantastic, but they gave no option for doneness of the meat and it came out well done . Its worth trying again and something else, mostly because of the great service (I wish I got the gentlemans name so I could include it in the review).

So incredibly tasty. Have eaten here several times and tried various items. Everything is always absolutely delicious. I love that their spicy items are also flavourful, not just heat that you cant even enjoy.

Are these people for real? These are Mexican dishes? No way! This is more like high school cafeteria food. Meal looks uninspiring at best, everything is from a can. The plates are super hot because its all microwaved. Just do better...

We ordered veggie enchiladas and pina colada. When we asked the waiter what veggies were in the veggie enchiladas he simply responded I don t know . It turns out they appeared to be mixed frozen veggies We asked if we could get the pina colda with vodka instead of rum and was told no . Food tasted like a microwave dinner from the supermarket and the service wasn t much better. Would not recommend.

I love this place so much their food is so good. This family owned Mexican restaurant is my go to spot every other Mexican restaurant that I ve been to in Toronto has been not great for me. I come back always with a full stomach from Mexico Lindo, happy smiling and sleeping well. This place has really good food and a really good family that runs at this place is so good and their food is delicious . Definitely my favorite go to spot for Mexican hands down best Mexican food in Toronto.

i love this retaurant, the chima changa (however you pronounce it) is delicious, i actually visit the location on birchmount where i think the quality is a bit better!

Ordered from here tonight for the first time. Wow! Very good food. My picky teenager even loved it. He loves Chipotle (which I tolerate) and always tell him is NOT Mexican food, well, he loved Mexico Lindo. We will definitely be coming back again and again. Delicious!

I love this place! Having lived in California for a number years, I was spoiled to always have great Mexican food on hand. After moving back to Toronto, it just wasnt the same... until I found Mexico Lindo! Authentic and tasty, so happy its in the neighbourhood!! I always get the big burrito!

One of my favorite Mexican food places. The burritos are delicious!

Authentic and the people who work there are so nice. I went for the first time initially because they offered chorizo tacos which you dont find in many other taco joints. Came with refried beans, rice, salad, everything was proper fresh with quality ingredients. Also check out the enchiladas, those were very good too.

Great service and food. Had the Veg Enchiladas, wifey got the quesadillas, both excellent meals. Service was friendly and courteous!

Had the Acapulco from the salad to the enchiladas. It was all tasty. I also had the mango juice. It was refreshing.

We arrived and were asked to present vaccine proof with Id. Then upon entry asked to use sanitizer. We were a group of 5. I was elated to be asked for proof and to use sanitizer. The service was right on and did not miss a beat. The food was delicious fresh and fast. The establishment was exceptionally clean and so attentive. I recommend this authentic Mexican cuise. I ll be back again

If the person GOES very hungry OR very hungry! You will not be full or with a satisfied stomach, the amount of rice is 3 tablespoons of coffee, literally. The Seasoning or Flavor of the food in general is very Good, especially the soft Veal with good Flavor. We ordered for 2 to share some nachos with Guacamole, and 2 main dishes, and the amount of rice, at least, does not make us repeat. Service in general Good.

Cozy atmosphere, great food (never had tortilla chips so fresh you had to wait for them to cool!!). Overall a very friendly mom & pop shop, highly recommend!

This restaurant serves traditional homemade style dishes. We had chimichangas, burritos, enchiladas, guacamole and churros. As always, everything was delicious. The staff are super friendly and the service is great.

Fantastic cuisine, really great flavours. This place is a must try if you enjoy Latin American cuisine! Highly recommend the combination plates if you dont know what to get! Also, the Pina coladas are increadible.

I went with my wife a couple weeks ago on a Thursday. It was about 6:30 pm and there were two other tables. We waited a pretty long time to get served. When we were ready to place our order I immediately decided on the chicken mole, because I firmly believe Mexican food is more than burritos. I was told they were out of mole. Out?! It seems strange that they would be out of a signature dish at the beginning of dinner service. As I struggled to find something less cliche than fajitas the server returned 5 minutes later to tell me there was just enough mole after all! To make a long story short, my mole was pretty good, but my wife s burrito was great!

Our favourite for Mexican food in the area! We got takeout today and the food was fresh, delicious and every bit as good as when we used to dine-in pre-quarantine. Highly recommend trying their food. Their tortilla chips and salsa is phenomenal too!

What I liked more than the food was the welcoming of the owners!!! It took only 5 minutes for my food to be done, but just the friendly atmosphere of the establishment makes me thinking of ways to go back to this 100% restaurant! The food is absolutely awesome

This is our favourite Mexican restaurant in Toronto. Its not super fast, but its worth the wait and very fair pricing. Mole enchiladas with chicken or chorizo are excellent.

Came in an hour before closing and they were extremely welcoming. The server was so nice and told us a lot about the history of the restaurant. The food was equally great.

As always, Mexico Lindo never fails me. I always go to the Scarborough location but since I was in the area I came to this one. Food and service amazing as expected, food fresh, great atmosphere. 10/10 experience!

We love Mexico Lindo! My husband is all about the guacamole and I love the chimichanga. The food is fresh and tasty with a bit of a kick. I love the salad and beans that come with my combo. Very good value for money.

My fave Mexican restaurant in Toronto! As authentic as it gets! The staff are friendly and are amazing cooks. The food selection is huge and everything is delicious. The location is on Bayview just south of Eglinton. Parking is on the street so it can be hard to find sometimes. The space inside is cozy and comfortable. Awesome experience!

My daughter and I loved this place for a casual dinner- the atmosphere is fun and the food is great.

Great food! But held back a couple stars due to absent and slow service. 1 server for a full house of 30-40 customers isnt ideal. Decor also needs a drastic makeover. Reminiscint of a thrift shop or a really low budget Mexican museum. Atmosphere is quite lively and just felt like theres much more potential for Mexico Lindo. Id still recommend for great tasting, fresh dishes.

No milk and I got their deep fried icecream which was just cornflakes on icecream stuck in my teeth.

This place is perfect for you, If you are an authentic Mexican food lover like me. Their menu offers a variety of authentic and traditional Mexican dishes which are worth trying . Their Pina Colada is the best I have had in Toronto so far. They have a typical Mexican Ambience inside the restaurant which typically gives you the feel the u are in Mexico . expect to spend about $30 per person here on food and drinks which is very reasonably priced.

Staff and chef are always sweet. This is where you can real authentic Mexican dishes. Everything is homemade. Tortillas and all. Restaurant is full of warmth and history. I feel like Im on vacation everytime I go. Yummy yummy yummy

Whats not to love?

Authentic Mexican places that offers delicious food and excellent service.

Will not be returning. Restaurants should never have dirty placemats or chipped margarita glasses. Besides getting part of the order wrong, food was less than mediocre. Restaurant feels old and tired. Needs a fresh revival.

Ive eaten here in the past. Not great. Plus they didnt want to let us bring our stroller with our sleeping infant in. Never going back.

The atmosphere is excellent. Very authentic feeling without being cliche. The prices are very reasonable especially for the area. The food is excellent. All the ingredients are fresh and everything is prepared on site. Highly highly recommended for a perfect casual meal thats not too expensive

Had a wonderful experience here! The drinks were perfectly mixed. Loved the pina colada. There were 4 of us and everyone was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. The environment is quite fun. Want to come back!

Had the taco salad which was delicious and a large portion size. Perfect for 1 to 1.5 people. Service was good and we stayed for a long time and didnt feel any pressure to leave.

Salsa with a little heat to start, complimentary. Terrific enchiladas for dinner. Service was a little slow with only 2 on the floor. Definitely coming back to try other menu items.

Ran in tonight literally 15mins before they were due to close to get a take-away, the girls COULD NOT have been nicer or more welcoming. (I was expecting a bit of attitude for being in so late lol) It was our first time to ever get food from here and honestly it was delicious!!!! So YUMMY! Compliments to the chef. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back. Thank you.

The vibe at Mexico Lindo is cozy yet cheerful! It s a wonderful family run restaurant. The service here is quick and friendly. We tried their Chorizo Burrito and Fajitas. The portions are generous and the food was delicious! Loved the flavours and how fresh everything tasted. Cannot wait to return!

Absolutely love Mexico Lindo at the Bayview location. Great service and the food is amazing! Theyre very accommodating too. Burrito Del Mar (shrimp stuffed burrito) Molletes Cancun - try it for yourself ;) Its amazing!

Menu needs updating, three items were not available and wasnt mentioned at all on the menu. My friend had the calamari and it was like rubber. :( My chimichanga was OK. Guac was also OK. Server was not friendly. Would not recommend.
