Saturday day my friend and I wanted enjoy a Mexican evening in this restaurant but experience Tasteless food and expensive service was bad the restaurant was a mess my table was dirty. There are a bunch of Mexican restaurant with delicious food for a reasonable price

Came here for drinks and was amazed at how friendly and attentive the team was. Ill be coming back to try the food.

I recently visited Molkagtez and I have to say, it was a great spot. The food is very authentic, bursting with flavor. The highlight, however, was the cozy heated patio in the back. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed evening, with a great ambiance, good vibes, and just the right amount of upbeat music to set the tone. Highly recommend!

I found this restaurant on TikTok, saw amazing reviews so decided to check it out. It was the best choice I made! The food, the service, the ambiance was everything. I had the mango margarita, baja fish tacos and it was amazing. You have to add this to your next spot to visit.

WOW when i tell you they surpassed my expectations. Not only was the food great, they have Happy Hour on a Friday night !! The energy from the team is contagious !! They turn dinner into an experience, highly recommend. Parking: Free street parking after 9pm

They responded to my boyfriends review with more lies. My review actually is marked takeout right at the top and they said that I did not mention it was take away. Again, I have full recording of the entirety of the conversation with the OWNER when he even said that the person who wrote the response to our review is unwell and that the CHEF ON THE DAY THAT WE CAME IN WAS FIRED THAT DAY!! ALL THINGS I DID NOT MENTION BECAUSE MY REVIEW WAS NOT MADE WITH ANY ILL INTENT. Update DEC 10 - I came to check if the response given to us that lied about us in our review, saying that we did not mention the birria (which if we had mentioned the birria would have been a much worse review as the Birria came without the noodles at all and we simply forgot to add that in our review.) had been removed as promised by the owner when he asked us to please remove our bad review. I planned to amend my review to add that we were given a refund, not remove it, which I told the owner then. ( I HAVE AUDIO RECORDING OF THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION INCLUDING THE OWNER ASKING ME TO TAKE DOWN MY BAD REVIEW). Instead of removing their response to us, they have now added that they are apparently sick to their stomach that my boyfriend added an honest review an hour before we ever arrived at the restaurant. On that note I will leave the entirety of this review available for anyone to see how these people treat their customers. Yes we were refunded 100 percent of our order upon returning to he restaurant a week later - and in our conversation we detailed the grievances that were on both reviews to which the owner got sassy with us and ultimately ended up refunding the $100 because I told them if they had not lied about us, I wouldnt be back asking for my money for Birria that they can see on camera as they said they reviewed footage, to see that we DID NOT even receive the birria noodles. The owner offered us shots of tequila and alcohol and when we said we dont want alcohol, we want the money back for the food that we did not receive he gave us our money back. It was not as they claim in good faith because they want customers to leave happy. It was because we refused to leave without the money for the birria that we did not receive as they claimed they had on camera our order being packed and looking good. ONCE AGAIN, IN MY ORIGINAL REVIEW I FORGOT TO ADD THAT I PAID FOR BIRRIA AND I DID NOT GET THE DISH. TO CLARIFY, I PAID FOR BIRRIA NOODLES AND GOT ZERO - SORRY I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT IN MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. *EDIT TO ADD. Indeed I forgot to add that we ordered birria ramen. I made the review several days after. Our birria ramen contains not one single noodle and its a shame that it even was listed as ramen and I would have returned for a full refund if I had the time, as RAMEN should contain noodles. Additionally I have no reason to lie as the restaurant has accused me of. I am a top reviewer with multiple reviews, even 2 positive reviews given that same weekend. We ate the food within 20 min. Tortillas do not get a stale smell, taste and texture in even some hours time. What shameful customer service. I also didnt mention that they were drilling into the bar with a power drill during open service and the staff was loudly joking with each other inappropriately - because I have no reason to give some sort of overly negative review like the restaurant has strangely accused me of. ORIGINAL REVIEW The food from this place was highly disappointing. Sunday afternoon my partner and I ordered both a shrimp and steak fajitas. We didnt make it through either. The tortillas were awfully stale! The smell, taste and texture confirmed. The steak was poorly seasoned and undersalted. The cook on the veg varried depending which piece. The rice on the contrary was too salty to consume for both plates. There was a tablespoon of cheese given for each order. The seasoning was off in general, like it was burnt. All these issues, unable to finish the food, for sky high prices (approx $90). I would not give this restaurant a second try.

Great spot. I visited tonight based on google reviews, and it lives up to the rating. Delicious food, great drinks, lovely staff. Guacamole was best I ve had in Toronto for sure.

Update: this place had been our family and friend s favourite to go in during the last year, sadly on our last visit the quality of the service dropped drastically. The last visit a couple of weeks ago had a bitter-sweet taste, the service was super slow, kinda rude and with mistakes but Almost zero acknowledgement about the issues from the staff. The food took forever to arrive, I ordered a ceviche and got an agua chile, our appetizer was served at the end when it was planned to be shared with the table while waiting for the food, instead arrived while some of my friends were dessert already I asked about the drinks promotion and the server said there was none while on their social media, they said there was one. Finally, the menu on the website is not updated. It s sad to see a place like this drop the Quality of the service, we hope it was a single-night experience and not the new standard. The food is still very good. I visited Molkagtez for the first time a week ago and now is one of my favourite Mexican spots. The many are great they have a good variety of Mexican dishes, most of them very authentic and traditional. The service was warm and very welcoming. The atmosphere was on point for a Mexican party, they were playing all the good music that you expect to hear in Mexico. On the day that we visited it, the place was very clean, they had people cleaning all the time and enough servers to provide a great quality of attention. The price is fair and not expensive. Of all that we ordered the best was the Enchiladas Verdes 10/10 Tacos de lengua 8/10 ( they need to improve the tortilla s quality) Flautas 9/10 Aguachile Verde 8/10 We recommend the guava and mango con chamoy margaritas 10/10 Dietary restrictions: My boyfriend is allergic to carrots, and when we mentioned they were very kind and the waitress made sure that no carrots were into the food and also provided us with a replacement for an side dish that was made with this ingredient to other that he could safely eat.

This place seemed to have good reviews so my girlfriend and I each ordered fajitas, and a birria ramen as we are both fans of ramen. While I waited, staff was bantering with someone doing renovations on the bar area (not bothered by this but worth noting). As soon as the server had the order together I took it to the car and drove about 20 mins to home. We began to assemble our fajitas and both noticed a stale smell and texture from the tortillas. We continued to assemble the fajitas hoping they would be flavourful enough to push through, unfortunately they were not. No part of the fajitas setup tasted well seasoned or fresh, and the rice was overly seasoned. Between my girlfriend and I, I can usually push through almost any meal as long as it s not rotten and I still didn t finish my fajitas, although I was hungry. Regardless we decided to eat the Birria Ramen only to find out there were no noodles packed for it. Being that this was the first time trying the dish we wondered if it was even supposed to come with noodles at all and tried to eat it as is. (We later found out noodles should indeed be included). It wasn t tasty at all and unfortunately had to be thrown out (both of our pet peeve to waste food but it was inedible). She wrote a review only to have the owner reply back insisting that they verified on Camera that the food looked good that day and they would not like to have customers like us back .. CAMERA!?!? Really??? We had no desire to have a bad experience after spending almost $90 on three items and nothing personal against the establishment so it s extremely off putting to have the owner rebut an honest review sighting CCTV as evidence the food had flavour. I wonder how they missed seeing that no noodles were packed for our ramen. If one of the three items was satisfactory we might try again but 3 choices turning out bad and one not even being complete gives me all the confidence I need to know I d never enjoy the food at that price. This, on top of the fact that the owner seems to not care to improve the experience but to instead get defensive.

The vibes here was amazing !!!!! On the weekends you should make a reservation since it gets very full. Staff was amazing with us, the manager brought us a blanket just for being cold. Food

Had an amazing time at this Mexican restaurant with my friends! The vibe was super welcoming, and the food was top-notch. Their Tacos Quesabirrias and consome? Absolutely the best in town juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. And don t even get me started on the guacamole fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a treat! Great spot for authentic Mexican food and a fun hangout with friends. Highly recommend!

The food here was insanely delicious. The service was impeccable. First off, we had the Baja tacos. They were amazing. We had the ribs. Wow they were good for dessert. We had the flan out of this world. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic place, everything was delicious, fantastic cocktails, good service. Ive seen a few people say the service was slow or trying to rotate tables a bit too quickly, but with a place that busy its hard to blame them. At worst 4/5. I recommend the Molcajete and the mescalinas. The honey and smoke cocktail was enjoyed by at least one friend. Another was smitten by the aguaschiles, and the guacamole was outstanding. We ordered a variety of tacos, and they were all good (the cactus and meat ones were the best, but not quite as good as the previously mentioned dishes). Oh, and the atmosphere (at least on a Saturday night) is outstanding. The back patio is delightfully decorated and theres music and ambience. ...yeah, think that covers it. I can see why this place gets a 4.8. Absolutely worth a visit.

I came by to celebrate my birthday. I was born and raised in Mexico and often I miss the taste and flavors of my first home. I had the coconut margarita, delicious! I only wish I asked for little ice. Then we order some tacos and soups. They took a while to bring our food and was disappointed having to eat at different times than the rest of my family. Viviana, Alberto and Bogdan were amazing at explaining, apologizing and making up for the wait with a wonderful dessert. Thank you! We will come again

They need to hire people who know about Mexican food

Amazing food.

We were introduced to this restaurant by a few of our foodie friends. We came on a Saturday night and I cannot express how amazing this restaurant is. The food is delicious and the drinks are impeccable. On top of that, the entertainment was fantastic (we had a live singer who put the cherry on top). There was a Mexican wrestler who went around the entire place giving out shots from a drink tower. It was my partner s birthday so they gave us a yummy dessert and sang. There s also a game drinking game that involves holding hands and getting shocked. Definitely recommend 10/10!!!

Fun vibe for a group! Taco Tuesday promo is well priced. However, food is mediocre (dry tacos) and service was chaotic and not very attentive.

It is not that the food wasnt good, but it wasnt great either. The meat needs a little more flavor. Drinks were ok. They also need to provide more complements with the molcajete (i. e. Salsa, pico de gallo, onion, cilantro, etc.) not that they have to, but itd provide a tastier experience. Probably will give it another try in the future but order something different.

Have come here multiple times and loved it. However, on my most recent visit, I was thoroughly disappointed. We waited nearly 90 mins for food. We asked our servers multiple times and were kept being told 5 mins , and imagine my shock when the food took another 20/25 mins. When the food finally came, it was, at best, lukewarm. $160 dollars for cold food. When we informed our server we were kindly offered a shot for our trouble. Despite loving the experience on previous occasions, definitely won t be back.

The food was very delicious and the place was quite nice. I only think that the service could be improved since the waiters are suddenly a bit hostile and abrupt when charging. But in general the place is nice as well as the owner is quite helpful and cheerful and he is not Mexican!!!

I am still talking about this place the next day! By far one of the best restaurants I ve been to!! I wish I found this place sooner. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere and vibe made me feel like I was in Mexico. I can t wait to come back!! Highly recommended!!! First impressions upon entering the restaurant were great but unfortunately the food was not. We waited nearly one hour for our food, including our appetizer which was served at the same time as the main. Even though we ordered two different types of tacos, pork and chicken, I could not tell the difference between the two meats. They both tasted incredibly bland and flat. The tortillas were also flavourless. Quite a shame, really, as the interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is enjoyable.

Betos service was very good, my girl and I ordered the molcajete and it was very good and it is a very large portion. The tortilla soup was excellent. The patio has a good atmosphere and the show with the wrestlers and the shots of Aztec blood are a great addition.

Had a great dinner! They were busy on a Monday - the food was certainly worth the wait and the staff were very nice.

We loved this place. The food was exceptional tru Mexico flavoured!! The music and the atmosphere were so uplifting. A friend recommended this place to us and we definitely enjoyed everything we had. The Molcajete was incredible.

I had a bit of a hiccup while booking a table through OpenTable, but the team at Molkagtez was incredibly understanding and quick to apologize. They invited me back and promised an amazing experience, and they certainly delivered! We were seated in the back patio, which felt like a slice of Mexico right here at home. The atmosphere was enhanced by live music, making it a truly immersive experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. The highlight of the evening was the live Lucha Libre entertainment, which added an unforgettable touch to our night. A huge thank you to Bogdan for his assistance and to the owner for coming out to introduce himself and ensure we were well taken care of. I can t wait to return for another fantastic evening!

Fun place for a group, especially to celebrate a birthday.....was nice to be able to sit outside in October in a fully covered patio ... karaoke on Thursdays....extensive cocktail and food menus. Definitely something for everyone here. Staff were great!

I celebrated my birthday here last weekend. To start off, staff was amazing and very very accommodating. We were running late and we called ahead to give them a heads up. They were very nice about it. I had a bunch of bouquets and they helped set it up with a chair on the side which was very nice of them. All the staff members were super nice when taking our order and gave us great recommendations. The ambiance was very nice and decors were super cool. They even showed up with candles and a piece of amazing tasting cake and wished me. I was super happy. The owner also came and shocked us literally which was super fun. 10/10 I will come back for the experience. Food and drinks was very yummy too. Thanks everyone for making my bday so special.

I ve tried MANY Mexican restaurants in the city, and this is hands down THE BEST Al pastor tacos I have eaten. Very cozy location, great service too. Highly recommend!

I recently took my fiancé and our friends to celebrate her birthday. It was about 18 of us and we all had a blast! The staff were extremely accommodating and the atmosphere of the place was second to none. If you are going to celebrate any occasion and are thinking about booking this place. Just book it.

This is definitely one of the most fun and interactive dining experiences I have had in a while. Most of the action happens at the patio! The food and beverages are great for sharing and entertainment is abundant. An excellent choice for group celebrations and special occasions! Vegetarian options: Not a ton of, there are a handful of delicious options.

The best is the customer service. We wanted to have esquites but they don t have it on the menu but they prepared it for us. My wife ordered flautas and it was taking longer than expected so they gave us free guacamole and chips. Amazing customer service from the manager

It was our second time at Molkagtez (we returned because the food was just soooooo good we had to go back!) we came back for their taco Tuesday menu. The food is absolutely top tier! So many great options and absolutely delicious! They have so many great daily specials. The music is great and makes me just want to get up and dance. We will be returning many more times Im sure. Definitely recommend.

My partner and I love Mexican food and decided to try somewhere new last night. We were not disappointed! the food, drinks and atmosphere were great. Was definitely a fun & unique experience, you can tell the owner really puts his all into making sure guests have a great time. We had the Baja shrimp, Carnitas, Pastor, Campechano (steak & chorizo) tacos - all were delicious!! We will definitely be back :)

Walked in randomly for a drink with my partner. EXCELLENT margarita specials for Monday. Their elotes were better and cheaper than the elotes served at the CNE. Wonderful service overall. Only downside is that my margarita (mango) was very tasty and I drank it too fast, so I had to get another (coconut).

I havent had such good service in a long time, it was an unmatched energy. I dont remember the waiters name, but it was spectacular, I will return without a doubt.

Visiting Molkagetez was a pleasant surprise. The food has that authentic flavor that connects you to the roots of Mexican cuisine, and each dish is prepared with great care. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, ideal to enjoy a good meal in a quiet environment. The service was impeccable, and although all the staff were very friendly, a young man named Boves stood out for his discreet but always present attention. He made us feel comfortable and made sure everything was on point without being invasive. Its definitely a place I would love to return to.

This place was amazing, it s definitely one of my favourite mexican restaurants. Huge selection of margaritas, excellent food (quesabirria y choriqueso) and service was great! Also there was live music and the atmosphere is the best! Highly recommend! P.s. don t be scared of trying the toques : it s super fun!!
