Tacos were okay. The lime margarita was good. The bar tender Clay was great and I had a good time chatting up the other patrions. However, if you want your spirit broken in witnessing agism in an abusive way, then this is the place to visit. The owner was fine and professional until he got drunk later in the night. His "regulars" which consist of his gf literally walked upto this gentlemen in his 50's and screamed in his ear and face that he was dust, has bones that she could crack. The owner instigated this and when I pointed that out, that it was mean, the owner reacted in a very unprofessional manner. He did not handle his business with class and dignity. This is not a representation of the rest of Cabbagetown. Hope this power tripping on the vulnerable when drunk is not a regular occurrence there. Pretty disappointing.
Was driving by on my way home from softball and the name drew me in. While they don’t have pastor tacos, I got the pork and the chicken and they were both delicious - a good little kick with great flavour. Also appreciate the bed of Doritos the tacos are served on. Kept the tacos upright and absorbed the moisture so the tacos weren’t soggy. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff and customer. Good vibe all around - will be back!
Went in last night (Wednesday) with some friends for their pianist, paired with the oysters and wine it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I also got a quesadilla which was excellent. I read the other reviews and I’m going to assume that our friends have not been to Latin America and they were expecting something similar to what you would find in the USA - not traditional tacos. These are more like traditional tacos with a simple meat, bit of toppings on a wee tortilla, just like in the south. I had it with the house hot sauce and BAM that stuff is top notch. Wonderful little bar if you are local and sounds like it’s a great spot for lunch!
Solid 4/5. The tacos were decent, but they weren't fantastic either. I would describe them as meh. Definitely expected more fresh toppings. There were only pickled onions on top of mine, and some cilantro on my husband's. I got the 4 bean tacos. My husband got 3 pork and 2 chicken tacos. I would go back if I was hungry and in the area, but probably wouldn't crave this place.
Loved the tacos and sangria, both delicious! Will have to try the burrito and quesadilla next time =) Great owner and a chill place to hang out to grab a bite and drink.
Great good and an extremely friendly owner and chef. Yes, the food is a little under seasoned but you just have to ask for salt and pepper and the owner will gladly oblige. The tacos came with pickled onions and herbs and it was delicious. He's also serving veggie chilli which is pretty great for vegetarians to have some options. The homemade habanero sauce is amazingly delicious and hot. He sells by the bottle and it's $10 which is incredibly affordable. We loved how green the whole place is. Gave it a nice ambiance even though it really is a hole-in-the-wall. The owner mentioned his plans for wine tasting. I wish him good luck.
Nice taco spot if you’re in the area! There was a lunch rush when we got there in the afternoon which resulted in a bit of a wait (good idea to preorder) & they had run out of pork by the time they had got to our order. However, the staff were super friendly and offered us chicken instead. Really enjoyed the sauces and sides here! Would love to come back to try their pork tacos one day!
This neighborhood needed tacos so bad! So glad they're here! A Mexican inspired little place with fresh ingredients and great prices! Had the chicken, bean and pork tacos. He grows the garnishes in store. The salsas were good and tortillas made in store as well. The owner is so down to earth and nice. Had tables to eat outside and a bench too. Visit and enjoy!
absolute worst customer service Ive had in the past YEARS at a restaurant. The owner was unresponsive and the pork is canned. Nothing is fresh and the lime he gave me was expired. The tacos were placed on a bed of mushy doritos. DO NOT DINE HERE

It wasnt good food. Canned pork. Canned beans. Served on a Costco tortilla. The person that served was incredibly charming though and we bonded over music. So in spite of the homeless shelter grade white person tacos it wasnt a complete right off..

I wanted to love them but when the options are chicken or beef you know youre not getting authentic tacos. The tortillas were small and dry. Flavour of the meat was decent but it just didnt hit the spot for a taco. I ordered the crunchy bean and cheese for my son and it had shredded marble cheese that didnt really melt. Quick lunch but a tad disappointing.

The best authentic tacos in Toronto. Great portions, very filling, and reasonably priced. Wes is a pretty cool guy. We are definitely coming back.
Soggy bread dry meat.
Place is great. Customer service is nice and the food is routinely good for low prices. We have tried all three tacos and enjoy them all. You can easily go into this place and spend around $20 for 4 tacos, an alcoholic beverage and a decent tip added on top for the speed and hospitality.
If you re looking for authentic Mexican tacos give this restaurant a shot! I promise you won t be disappointed! Best tacos I ve had in a very long time and at a very reasonable price.

Average tacos! Was expecting more from the pork ones! They tasted a bit overcooked. But loved the spice & its a cute place :)
The food is ok. Small tacos for the price but they are pretty good. Saw a comment about limes and yes you can ask for more but theres an extra charge. The biggest problem I have with the place is that it seems so disorganized. Often they have the wrong containers or certain food is unavailable. Dishes and plates scattered everywhere. Its just a bad look. If youre in the mood for something different, once in awhile, its a good place to go. But the state of the kitchen keeps me from being a true regular.
Tacos and wine, what more can you want? Tacos were yummy (got pork and veggie options). The selected house wine was great as well. The addition of the piano is really nice, adds to the overall vibe.
I recently catered from here and it was an excellent experience. The owner (Wes) was brilliant. He was super helpful and kind from the get go. He really blew everywhere else I reached out to out of the water. The food was incredible. He made some custom veggie options for the non-meat eaters. They gave us plenty of sides and everything was packed perfectly for easy access and serving. I would highly recommend!
Slightly disappointing. I went for some tacos and nachos. The pork tacos were dry and the shells stale. The cheese on the nachos was not fully melted. The saving graces were a friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Food

Legit tacos - a solid restaurant - only thing keeping this from a 5-star review are the meat portions - a bit smaller than Im used to receiving.
I wanted to like this place but I couldnt. The tacos were really small for the price they were cold and dry. The sauce that they had wasnt hot, and they didnt have hot sauce. They came with doritos on the side??? The doritos were spicier than the tacos. If youre looking for authentic Mexican tacos, this is not the place, Ive heard good things about this place in the past, but it wasnt up to my expectations.

The tortilla is too small, very small portion, not a lot of flavor in the meat, service excellent, Horchata water?, Not even close, I could only give 2 sips it taste like water with something not good, and the salsas were to watery to the point you were trying to get the flavor,

Its not authentic Mexican. No seasoning but lots of alfalfa sprouts.
I want this restaurant to get better but every time Im really let down. Something is always cold or soggy and clearly prepared way before everything else, plus the food usually takes weirdly long for what it is. Probably wont be going back and the fact that an order of 4 tacos came with this tiny fraction of a lime was the last straw.

they were out of pork when we went, and that was definitely the one we wanted to try but we were happy with what we ordered regardless. The owner is absolutely the highlight of this place, friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Talking with him gives a great atmosphere and customer service was unmatchable. The homemade horchata was heaven. incredibly well done and the various sauces added a special element to these tacos. were these the best tacos Ive ever had? no, but I strongly believe given a little more time, this owner will nail it. it seems like hes still finding his groove here and nailing down his menu but definitely worth checking out and supporting a local business! order came with some free chips and the mango hot sauce (???) would be something to come back for :)

We went here tonight before a concert, had never heard of it before but saw it on Google close to the venue. It was between here, and a shawarma place. I am sooooo happy we came! The chef working was sooooo friendly and nice, just the nicest guy! Let me tell you, tacos ON POINT, and that habanero sauce??? Fiiiiire! Im a chilihead, and if I could buy a bottle, or a case of that sauce, I would! The tacos were juicy and tennnnnder! Usually chicken tacos can get very dry, very fast.. not these! Go give this place some love. Your tummy, tongue, and soul will be very happy! 100/10 highly recommend.

Great place for fresh authentic tacos. Owners were sweet dudes, and loved that the tacos were a build-your-own kit so that everything was fresh after the ride back home. Hot sauces were awesome. One thing Id say - More Tortilla Chips! Gotta love those as a side to help finish off the sauces.
Wes has filled a street taco sized hole in the Cabbagetown community with his faithful-as-possible al pastor tacos. The majority of his dishes are gluten free and I really appreciated that he made all of his own sauces in house. He also has amazing vegan ice cream and paletas thats made in house and he carries interesting Mexican imported goods.
If you blink you will miss this place!,,great prices and awesome tasting tacos I bought a big bag of chips to bring home! 5$ for a huge bag!
I got the 4 pork tacos for $10. The sauces made the meal Im a big fan of hot sauce and they actually make a good hot sauce. Im going go try their icecream when i go back! See you guys soon!!!
If I hadn t recently moved across town, I d be here everyday. Some of the best tacos in Toronto for perhaps the best deal in the city - incredible customer service, presentation, and a generous amount of different sauces, all on a bed of nachos. Instantly love this place
I got the 2 chicken + 2 pork option for $10.50 and it was so good! Big fan of having many different sauces and toppings as well as the microgreens and tortilla chips on the side! Very good value and so delicious! Definitely will be back for more
Just had the 4 pork tacos for $10. Excellent flavour and it comes with all the side (guacamole, onions, cilantro, hot and medium sauces) and even a handful of nachos. For the price you cant go wrong! The owner is a really friendly guy who clearly takes pride in his product but isnt looking to gouge us taco lovers! I totally recommend.
Awesome tacos!!! Seeing as I m used to getting charged $15 for 3 tacos, pastor tacos 4 for $10 is amazing!! The tacos are full of flavour, the numerous toppings are incredible, and the 3 different types of hot sauce just top it off. I was lucky enough to try some new hot sauce - the habanero! High level of spice but still full of flavour. I would definitely recommend checking out the popsicles (mojito especially!) and getting some street corn to top your tacos with! 5/5 will return again for sure!
This spot is a cabbage-town gem. Bang for your buck and all of the sauces are made in house, which is a major win for me. This will be a weekly joint I hit up.
10/10!!!!! Staff were so nice and accommodating and the food was amazing I asked if I could replace the tortilla with salad but they didnt have salad, only sprouts and microgreens so they loaded up on meat and it was the best. The salsas and pickled veggies were so delicious and flavourful and the meat was extremely tender!! Cant wait to go back again!

You cant really do any better for the price in terms of quality and amount. The toppings are unique as well, and all the ingredients seemed fresh. The only thing is I wish they had more options for fillings in addition to chicken/pork/bean, but they do it well.
Veggie bean tacos are delicious... Especially the sauces... - Finally tried the coffee popsicle... The taste is PERFECTION!!

Bean taco brought me to flavourtown. I didnt want to leave, but after 4 tacos, I was quite stuffed. However, and thankfully I had room left for those totally delicious popsicles. So yourself a favour and get their mango popsicles.

This is further proof that most people in this city have NO CLUE what good food is. The owner is lovely and very kind. Excellent customer service. However the food is terrible. Like come on..Stop this ! Had the pulled pork and chicken. Tiny tacos with small portions. Both were extremely bland. Zero seasoning and bland tasting. Might as well be eating paper. The sauces are meh okay. An extra $1.50 for Pico de gallo..which is NOT pico de gallo. Shameful. Stop calling this pico de gallo..look up the recipe for pico de gallo. Pass on this..you will be disappointed. Thank me later with a thumbs up!

I had a friend take out before it was good and thought Ill check it out since i was in the area. I had the 4 pack with chicken and pork. Friendly owner and good service. The tacos were good, hot and fresh. My favourite was the pork. I will come back for sure.
