PINATA TACOS INC in Toronto

I ve been there a several times but today it s probably my last unfortunately :( We wanted the chilaquiles and the server said we needed to wait for an extra 20 min which we did, however he seem upset about it not sure why? Food was ok but I give 2 stars because of the server was very very rude and had an attitude every time we asked or ordered something. I ve always had a good experience here but today was awful.

Overpriced and not very authentic Mexican restaurant. 1. The pricing is very steep. When I lived in NYC which has fantastic Mexican food, a taco was $5 USD. Here every taco is $7.50 CAD 2. No complimentary salsa. Ive never been to a Mexican restaurant where you dont get salsas to pour over your tacos. In fact usually every table usually would have a salsa holder with three salsas. Thats half the experience. The tacos here are dry or pre loaded with the house sauce. 7.50CAD tacos. Are you trying to save $$ on salsa bro? The clientele here too are mostly bougie white hipsters.. which for me speaks to the authenticity and honesty of the place. All in all, the food and ambience are certainly not.. bad, and if the prices werent this steep I wouldnt have cared enough to share this feedback. If you want authentic Mexican food I found a couple directly north on Bloor. If this feedback is considered, Id probably be back!

Just had an amazing meal with my son. He said this is the best Mexican restaurant I ve ever been to! The steak was tender, the quesabirria was awesome and the shrimp was perfect. Plus 10 dollar happy hour cocktail!

The burrito was not good, but I am very grateful there was vegetarian options so thank you for that. However, not a vegetarian in the world prefers a tofu or cactus burrito over a bean and rice burrito. Is it even Mexican food without beans and rice? I do not think so.

The best place to eat something very 100% Mexican Be sure to try the micheladas, they are a 10 out of 10

Open late till 2 am on the weekends! Chill spot on Dundas - tried their Baja fish and shrimp tacos, both are tasty.

Had to write a review solely based off the experience from taco fest alone. Great service and even better food. I never had a birria taco without the consume before and honestly this place really knocked it out of the park. I also had the Baja shrimp and that was also really good! Was the best tacos I had the whole fest. The lady who took our order was super nice and sweet, and very helpful. I am looking forward to coming to the restraunt.

I went on vacation a year ago and visited this place, the service and the seasoning at that time was great.... A couple of days ago I returned and everything has changed for the worse, the seasoning is no longer the same but the most unpleasant thing is the service and customer service... The manager in charge leaves a lot to be desired, not at all helpful and provides poor service...

Ive been twice First time was at lunch and was quite great Tried again last night and wasnt thrilled. The tacos were good, not great, it took quite a long time to get our drinks, and the music was unbearably loud. Well definitely be back because our first trip was great, but well aim for lunch,instead of dinner.

A place that feels very Mexican very delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and excellent service from the employees towards the diner, I recommend this place if you are looking to enjoy some good taquitos

Best burrito Ive ever had by far! The vibes in general are absolutely immaculate also!

I live 40min out of the city, and any time I m craving a taco this is my go to place! Their fish tacos are absolutely amazing!

The service was good. The atmosphere is not bad. The food is overpriced for the quality. The meat on half the tacos we ordered was dried and overcooked. The half that was properly cooked tasted good but not $7 for a taco good. The horchata was good, the salsa portions were skimpy. We ordered some churros that were hard as a rock (overcooked). Overall I ll have to consider other places next time I m craving tacos.

I ordered the tofu taco and it was *amazing*. I ve never had tofu on a taco and it was so good! My only regret was not buying more tacos! Vegetarian options: They had cactus and tofu options. I went with tofu taco and it was delicious!

Such a great spot and always consistent. It s become a place friends and I go to regularly now and the cozy vibes, music and food always hit the spot. I reallt enjoyed the grilled shrimp tacos. Affordable and easy to access by transit and great spot in the Dundas west neighbourhood.

The burritos are always amazing! The owner is kind and welcoming! Tonight my husband and I decided to try a Quesabirria, 100% recommend! I did not want to share after the first bite, I was shaking it was SOOOO GOOD!!! We decided this year to never eat the big fast food chains ever again and I am so happy that we did! The portions are bigger, the flavour is 100% better and the atmosphere is welcoming!! Eat the food, I promise that you ll love it! (No picture food was consumed quickly)

2/5* Dive bar look which is fine. But in the daylight eating food its a bit grimey. The chicken and steak burrito are good. I do not like how they serve them. They cut them in half but do not wrap them. So your eating them and they sort of start to fall apart. The guac had no flavor and was not fresh. The chips were not seasoned. Seriously a big issue. Its not a bad place but there is no reason to go here given the choices in the city. Server was very nice. The burritos would be acceptable if they where wrapped. But the chips and guac was so bad for a taco place. The guac was one of the worst restaurant guacs I have ever had.

Tasty tacos. Not super friendly or welcoming. Asked to sit on the patio, it was full, no problem at all. Tried asking how long the wait is, can we choose to wait or take a walk and come back - and generally made to feel like a nuisance/irritation. To be clear - obviously it s completely reasonable if the answer is no, it s full, and we have no idea when it ll open up . However saying it politely, without making your client feel badly, is sort of the bare minimum. Tacos were tasty! But can t say if I d be back - Toronto is full of delicious food without the attitude!

Small place that makes solid tacos and burritos. Service was very quick for being packed on a Saturday night around 7. By the time we left at 8 the place cleared out.

Just an amazing gem with my favorite nachos. Fresh fried chips stay crunchy and every layer is so flavourful and balanced. Also probably my favorite mezcalita in the city and my partner said his fish taco was probably one of the best he s ever had. Even though he just got back from Mexico City!

The tacos are good but nothing great. The churros were rock hard & inedible. Pretty expensive place & I don t think it translates into the quality of food unfortunately.

We were excited to try this place but left feeling underwhelmed. It was also pricy for the quality and quantity. We were a group of 4 and didn t order that much food. The tacos arrived lukewarm rather than hot. We tried a bunch of flavours and none were memorable. The guacamole was good. Drinks were also just okay but overpriced for what they were.

Ate in and had about three tacos a person, all were good but nothing spectacular. I asked for my tacos mild as I m a bit spice sensitive and found they were lacking flavour which was a disappointment. With the tacos being $7 a piece we found it much too expensive as well.

I went here recently with a friend and we loved it. It s such good value of food for the price and we enjoyed some tacos and a drink and everything was delicious ! The servers checked in on us throughout our time and the atmosphere was fun and lively. Definitely plan to go back !

Delicious baja fish taco!

Awesome delicious tacos and burritos here! Well seasoned and tasty. Just note that their hot sauce is the real deal, super careful! The only thing that wasn t good was their portion size, even the burritos were small.

After reading the reviews I was so excited to eat here, and while the food was good I wasn t blown away. The cactus and chips was ok, the baja fish had too much breading (for personal preference), and the the birria taco was on the dry side even with the dip. Horchata was delicious. Also, the first water glass I had was dirty so I asked for a replacement and that glass wasn t clean either not a terrible experience but certainly not my favourite taco spot in the city.

Vegetarian options: Their guac is delicious, nopales very nutritious, quesadillas are delicious Dietary restrictions: They have many options to try, nopales it s always healthy, unique, vegan Kid-friendliness: The stuff always accommodates for big groups with kids

Whenever I think about their tortas I drool. It is just that good - Carnitas, Pastor, Baja fish and shrimp are all incredible. I adore this place.

Randomly wandered in after a show across the street for a quick bite - as it is open quite late. The Tacos were excellent! Quesobirria and the Gobernador Taco was great as well. Cant wait to come back and try a bunch more.

Came in for a bite after seeing a show across the street and couldn t be happier I did. I had the Quesabirria and the Gobernador tacos, both were delicious and on par to what I ve eaten in México. The atmosphere is super fun, love the decor and music. So happy to have an option for authentic tacos and such high quality option for food late at night.

Pinata Tacos got off to a good start, but after a few years the quality, portion-size, and prices have plummeted. Its really disappointing as I would be a frequent customer.. but now the ingredients seem cheaper and less fresh. I bought a burrito just now and it was tiny... nearly 20 dollars for tiny burrito. Wish they could go back to the business model of sell affordably and sell a lot. What a shame.

Everything about this place is lovely. The food is hearty, the service is great and overall just a good small place to get some good tacos. I didnt know what a Henchata was so they gave me a free shot of it to try. So nice. I personally got the Birria Burrito and it was juicy and flavorful. Definitely recommend

An authentic Mexican restaurant, the only problem I see is that they do not give you water but you have to buy a drink or otherwise pay for the water, the flavors of the food are very delicious and extremely recommended.

I LOVE this taco place. The tacos are authentic and its so hard to find good Mexican food in Toronto! The horchata is also off the charts. Get the fish tacos and the guac and chips and also the quesabirria. I order from UberEats all the time and I also have gone several times. Their food is always impeccable and has impressed many of my friends! The restaurant is super cute and the owner is so friendly. We had the slightest of delays in taking our orders once and she gave us the guac and chips for free to apologize. It was v sweet! Highly recommend supporting them.
