I purchased the "tacos al pastor" and "burritos al pastor". The tacos being $5 per and $10 for the burrito. The texture of the pastor was soft with a bit of spicy. They doubled up the tortillas and covered them in juices. The size of the tacos were medium and the burrito as well. The highlight of the burrito was probably the cheese. They provided sauces for the table, which consisted of a dark red chipotle type that wasn't that spicy. A dark green sauce that seemed to be tomato base and not spicy at all. A light green sauce that seemed to be avocado based with a bit of spicy, and pineapples that weren't too great. The location was very barebones, with small basic tables and chairs and the cashier at the end of the restaurant with the kitchen in the back. It felt extremely hot in there, especially considering it is summer. They need some sort of stronger AC or fan system. They accept cash and credit (not including AMEX). Ultimately, I may return to try something else, but I wouldn't consider it somewhere I would go for Al Pastor, considering there are various better options in the area.
Great food and prices. The sirloin burrito was really good and filling. Great that they give you different sauces / sides to customize your meal to your taste. The horchata was also really good! For two people, we ordered 2 tacos and 1 burrito (with added cheese!) to share.
We came to Taqueria el Pastorcito for dinner on a weekday. We had no trouble getting in as there was no line up. We ordered the El Pastor and Sirloin Tacos as well as a Sirloin Burrito. The food came out shortly after we ordered. The food was delicious and well worth the price point. Among the side dishes, I really enjoyed the pineapple salsa. It was so good with both the tacos and burrito - you could tell it was freshly made. Their washrooms were clean too.
Love the salsa's and pineapple 🍍 salsa the most! The onion and jalapeno on the side was a game changer and the smokey flavor made the taco elevate to another level. Wish they had chicken as an option, but it's was an amazing visit!
This is my first time at this taqueria, and I am speechless. These are the most delicious and authentic tacos I've had so far in Canada. It is a completely Mexican taqueria. They offer a variety of sauces. The tacos are outstanding with double tortillas, and the meat is cut perfectly for tacos. The service is amazing, and I loved the atmosphere. Definitely 5 well-deserved stars. Congratulations!
No words. But then a review is pointless so I’ll try my best: this is the best, most authentic, and most fun Mexican restaurant in Toronto and probably in all of Canada. Beautiful big steak tacos, on double layered fresh corn tortillas, chopped onions, and a whole SUITE of toppings brought to your table. 3 different sauces, chopped pineapple, fresh guacamole, more lime wedges than anyone would need, and a 10/10 taco. For $5 a taco. This is simply a restaurant that cares more about quality and experience, and part of customer experience is value. The staff are all engaged, caring, diligent, working together. The quesadillas on flour tortilla are even bigger than the tacos and just beautiful. Kudos to the owner/manager and you should know that the staff that was working 7-8pm on Sunday July 21 were STELLAR and superb. One of my favorite things to do at a restaurant is just watch. And it’s very very rare to see a team of staff working together, smiling, laughing, working their tails off, getting every little detail right, all while it’s jam packed, hot outside, lineup waiting to get in, screaming babies, and the team and the cooks are just delivering incredible food and service. Also, the tunes you guys were playing absolutely dope. Can’t wait to be back and tip big. Thank you.
There was a line, but it moved quickly, and was totally worth the wait. These were some of the best tacos I've ever had in Toronto, and come very close to some that I had in Mexico City. The service was friendly, the tacos were incredible and loaded with cheese. I enjoyed the grilled peppers and onions on the side, and their homemade hot sauces were actually delish and spicy. Plus, the horchata and Jamaica juice were great to balance the heat. Will definitely be back!

Terrible service. Staff was not pleasant at all, they all have attitude. Double check your bill before you pay, they might charge you more than what you eat.
Service sucks, they try to rush you over to leave so they can have another customers on a table. They REMOVE your plates and drinks without asking if you re done. And they re unprofessionals with billing orders, they DONT know how to split the orders if you go there with friends.

The food was great but the server lied about the total amount. The total was $ 24 but she lied to $27 something. I think she added tips herself and told us. Anyway, I was about to pay tips but I think that s too poor behaviour :( Be careful guys
Eating in was very nice, and the staff was amazing. I did enjoy the chicken quesadilla, but unfortunately, I cannot tolerate spice that much, so I couldnt add all the beautiful salsa that comes with the meal. But even without the extra salsa, it was still very flavourful and delicious!
They have everything to be the best taqueria in all of Toronto, delicious sauces to any taste, lots of lemons and most importantly with juice, their roasted onions with chili give it that extra flavor. My favorites are the volcanes de pastor and tacos de lengua. The service is very pleasant, I have been to the Bloor and St Clair branch. Highly recommend this place!

We came from afar just to eat these tacos, because we consider them some of the best, and on this occasion the service we received was totally bad, the tacos lacked seasoning at all, the waitress treated us poorly when taking our order, and I also know they were wrong on both orders, I definitely wouldnt recommend it at this point. I will try again at another branch.

THE place for Mexican food in Toronto! I visit every month and still cant enough of this place. Cant go wrong with ordering any item as everything is very flavorful and extremely delicious. Will recommend to visit before 8pm on weekend evenings as it gets very busy jn a short period of time. Staff is really passionate and it shows in their quality service. More than one hour sitting at a table waiting for someone to take our order, no one even tried to approach us even though we asked several times. Not the first time this has happened to us, hard to justify coming back.

Tried the Lengua (beef tongue) burrito and horchata. The burrito and horchata were really good. One of the best Mexican spots Ive had in Canada. The restaurant is super humid didn t really affect me as I ordered takeout and the seating is first come first serve and there is always a line to get in so visit off peak for sit down or just do takeout. Solid hole in the wall option in Toronto.

I went with my family, the place was full but the staff was totally indifferent to our presence inside the establishment. At no time did my wife ask the waiter if he could accommodate us at a table and he only said Im going to ask and he never came back!! So we left there totally disappointed.

On Sunday, October 20 at 3:00 am I placed my takeout order and a lady named Karla who was near the checkout was more attentive on her Instagram instead of the customers, that was the reason why I decided to go over to request my order, and the worst thing was that when I asked him if I could place my order, he didnt even turn to see me, he was still on his cell phone.
Beyond delicious. I had the pastor and the sirloin. Hot sauce is on point and that pineapple salsa is proper. Very Highly recommend this spot.

Do not be fooled by instagram! This is such ridiculous excuse for a taco spot. I spent nearly 40 dollars on 4 tacos and a drink. These tacos came wrapped up together in a piece of tinfoil (even though the food was clearly for two people) tossed in a brown bag with handful of sliced dry limes just strewn across the bottom. These tortillas were loaded with oil and grease and the fillings were just terrible. Dry chicken AND steak. Not only does their food disappoint, but the service was not as it should be, for the amount of staff in there, you would think they would be able to produce a decent taco.
Theres 100 new taco places in Toronto and this is our favourite one. They even had a singer on Friday night. Everything about the food is top points. Beef tongue tacos and marchata are excellent asbarebthe different molhos.

The beef tongue tacos were to die for, I love the sauces and salsa that it comes with, so flavorful, toppings were perfect, and the beef tongue just fell apart. The flan was a great size and great value, restaurants have been getting very stingy with their dessert, so I appreciated it and the taste was good however, I did order from Uber Eats and I noticed a piece of mold, so I m guessing they probably gave me one that s been sitting in the fridge for a while because it did have sort of taste to it. Regardless recommend for the tacos. Horchata was nice too.

I got a two bad experience in this place that s why write this review. The first time I went with my friends to eat in site and they re forgot to do my order, they re only served me the water and I was waiting around 45 minutes and my food never arrived I had to ask the server and they re never answer, all my friends have already finished them food and my food never arrived I had to ask the server for cancel my order and when the bill arrived they charged me the food and my food finally arrived when we were ready to leave the place. The second time I went to made a order for to go, I was waiting for an hour and I had to ask the server for my food and they just told me that I have to wait a little time that become another 15 minutes, many people after me got them order before my order got ready, and when my order finally was ready they re realized that they re made a wrong order and they re added more items to my order at this point I was really hungry, frustrated, and mad, but I told to the server that I was able to pay for the extra items and they won t, they said that it wasn t necessary and they took the order back to the kitchen to try to fixed it and they spend 10 more minutes, I just wanted to leave the place I was really mad and I tried to be very polite cause I was really frustrated for another bad experience at the same place, the food it really good but the service is horrible disappointed.

Best tacos with the best sauces in all of Toronto and its not even close. No other places greets you with a huge platter of sauces, guac, pineapples, and roasted onions and jalepenos gratis with your order. This place is a true gem and were lucky to have these fine folks in our neighborhood. Also, try the Tres Leches cake. Its decadent.

Missing order. I ordered Flan for dessert. However, when i get home and checked the bag, the Flan was missing. So disappointed.
The torta sirloin meat was not cooked!! they gave me raw meat. the way they packaged my order was messy. They wrapped both the torta and taco in almiunion foil. and i ordered tacos and one of my taco had no meat on it. i paid extra for cheese on my torta and there was no cheese on it . such a waste of money and rip off. would not recommend this place whatsoever . 25$ for dry torta and tacos and one with no meat & raw meat.

Im always skeptical of new restaurants that are hyped up but this place really delivered! I got a chorizo burrito and it was on point! Plus the two salsas, guac and pineapple they give you on the side makes sure youve always got the bite you want. Definitely one of the best taco places in the city and possibly the most authentic compared to what Ive personally had in Mexico.
Love eating here- been here several times and the food is consistently awesome. The tortillas are fresh, and the pastor and lengua (beef tongue) were standouts for me. The salsas were so tasty- love the heat too.

Ordered to go, had to wait a very long time for my order, not a big issue but I felt like they were giving priority to dine-in orders. The Horchata was amazing, very recommended, one of the best I have had in the city. The pastor tacos were med, very small and for a place call pastorcito I would expected great pastor, but was disappointed. The lengua was good but I won t have this place as my to go taqueria. I would recommend it to try if you are in the area looking for authentic tacos, but not to go all the way there for that. Sides were very good, salsas and other toppings, I hope they improve that details.

Some of the most authentic Mexican tacos I ve ever had at similar prices to other popular spots. Amazing service, food, and ambience. There was a live mariachi when we visited who performed a few songs (amazingly). Loved the tacos (tried all 3), torta, and burrito. Also loved the horchata (the large is $9 but gives 3 full glasses).

Great food! However, the menu on Doordash is completely dishonest. I ordered tacos - note the s at the end of the word, indicating a plural? It was advertised with a picture of 3 tacos. Reasonable to assume that by ordering the tacoS, while looking at the picture of 3 tacos, that Id be getting 3 tacos right? One taco came. So if its one taco, why the s? Why the picture of 3 tacos? Such a weird lie. Either they messed up, which is fine, or they lied on their menu, which is not fine.

Customer service is terrible. Too much waiting time for them to give you the menu and take your order. It is my third time eating at this restaurant and this has been my worst experience. We were three people, the waitress took our order, the food took too long and on top of that they forgot my order. We didnt even get an apology or anything. Waiting time of one hour or more.
We wasted a lot of time, we were there for 20 minutes and no one attended to us, the waitresses looked at us with a bad face, I think the owner exploits them because they are never the same waiters, we had to request that they serve us, the food is good, it tastes like Mexico but The service is horrible I hope they improve because it is not a bad place, at least their food does not have cockroaches like the tenoch

Im angry, I asked for a service that would pick up the order and check that my order was taken correctly. When I got home I realized that I was missing food for one person, I called and explained that my order was not complete and the only solution they gave me was to return for the donkey or make a voucher for later. And what do I tell my husband do you eat afterwards??? Or drive 50 minutes again to solve the problem that they couldnt!!! His treatment with the diner is disastrous.
Today I came for dinner, I ordered a tongue taco and a pastor quesadilla, I started to eat my taco, I added the tomatillo green sauce but when I took the first bite it tasted strange, I told the waitress and she told me I would change the sauce, I changed the sauce and it was the same flavor, my taco was never changed and I only had a small bite, I thought I would change it, we always come or order and everything is very delicious, I work in a restaurant and I know when a product is not Its good, the truth is that today I had a very bad experience, I hope that the next time something similar happens to them they will be kind enough to change the product and for all this they charged me for the taco that I didnt even eat.

Came here for some late night eats. You could see homemade individual salsas scattered around the tables - we knew this place was gonna be good. We tried the tacos pastor, chorizo and beef tongue. All of them excellent. The beef tongue was our favourite and definitely a standout. The salsas are on the spicy side, so dress your tacos wisely! Grilled jalapeño and onions come with your meal as well. Oh and by the way the horchata is sooooo good. You must try the food here. Cheap and cheerful.

Excellent service, I visited the place with my family and everything we ordered was delicious, I wouldnt know which one to recommend more but I think the pastor and tongue tacos are my favorites, although the mushroom quesadillas with cheese are also delicious, and very reasonably priced .
Ordered takeout - carnitas Burrito was tasty, albeit on the smaller side. The included collection of salsas was a nice touch. Issue was I paid extra for cheese ($2), yet there was no cheese to be found anywhere in the burrito. It wasn t particularly busy, so I m not sure how the kitchen managed to make this error.
For me (mexican girl) they are the closest to CDMX-style tacos al pastor. I recommend the tacos al pastor and the sirloin volcán. Dont forget to try the horchata or hibiscus drink. And if you still have space for dessert ask for the flan or the tres leches
I ordered a little piece of sirlion! Very rich. The atmosphere is very good and cozy, many family-friendly and they have vegetarian options. I would much rather come here than to imperial burrito in high park.
We had 2 mushroom tacos and shared 1 Mushroom Burrito, and 1 Horchata small drink. Totally worth it for the flavours, freshness and overall experience.
