z-teca Cocina Mexicana in Toronto

I noticed Z-Teca Cocina Mexicana for a few weeks now but have not taken the time to stop in and try the food until today. I had the chicken and the steak tacos. Both were flavorful and plentiful! Service was friendly and quick. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a taste of Mexican food when downtown Toronto!

Food portion was not great, comparing to chipotle which is fresh and cheaper. I ordered a chicken bowl and essentially received a rice bowl with nice sauces.

The service is great , very friendly and kind staff, the food though is mediocre, portions are big because there is a thick layer of rice in the bottom of whatever bowl you pick. Other things like the guacamole side is so little it should be given away for .50 cents not 3 dollars!!! And pictures or the menu are extremely deceiving as the real food you receive does not look like anything on the website or at the menu board … So disappointing, especially if you are actually fan of me is an food!! I wouldn’t not recommend ! Sorry !!

They don't accept cash payment. I don't agree with this at all.

Pretty standard burrito place. Food was good. Portion size was a bit on the smaller end

I was surprised to see that this is a bit different concept, not exactly the same as Zteca Mexican Eatery, that I visited many times. Wanted to try food there and went for Pollo Milanesa Torta. It was fun to learn that Torta is actually a sandwich in Mexico, and it's a really tasty sandwich that will keep your stomach satisfied for the rest of the day. Nice friendly stuff and quick service. It is great to have Mexican food option in the food court that is located in the PATH between Scotia Plaza and Eaton Centre.

New concept not pick your own but ok, freshen up for a boring workday. Miss Mexico so much! The place is opposite to shoppers near the bay b1 south exit.

The food and service is good. Got the pork carnitas bowl, which was around $18 with tax. The ingredients were fresh and tasted good.
