The place is very cold in winter time. The heater is not working well.

Halal but serves alcohol? Makes no sense. Not to be trusted.

Visited as a group of two couples for dinner before a show around the corner. We were all very impressed with the food quality and speed at which it came out - never rushed, but nicely paced. Our server Alex was excellent and her recommendations on wine and number of items to order were spot on. Excellent meal and service, thank you!

Let your waiter tell you whats good before ordering. That will be the difference between good and excellent. Dietary restrictions: Can accommodate (pre)diabetic and ketogenic diets. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: No.

Fantastic service . Poor guys I was rushing them the whole time because of timing and a show I had to get to. Super accommodating and kind staff. I was probably a bit over the top with my requests and such but 2nd time here and again A+++ Roasted Lamb shoulder u gotta get that cuz it s a thing of beauty. Halloumi cheese with honey .. also Hummus with beef was alright. Black truffle and cheesy bread side was fantastic as well. My boys only eat halal as well and it s probably the only solid nice resto downtown TO for halal meat. Will visit again

None of the dishes were special. Just one of those over priced restaurant which is pretty but can not manage to serve their pricy lamb ribs hot or make their simple side dishes any special in flavour. Food

The food isn t even good. Saw good reviews and wanted to check it out. Overpriced for no reason. Portions are tiny and nothing tasted good. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing but the food was a 0/10

The food here was amazing and well worth the money. Some of my favourites were the crispy shrimp, lentil pide, lamb shoulder, and chocolate olive oil cake.

Truly the best restaurant in Toronto.

One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Their appetizers offer a wide selection and they re very good (reco: arugula salad, very refreshing). For mains I recommend the Lamb Shoulder which is easily my favourite dish. The lamb is served with small pieces of lavash bread and some sides which you turn into mini-shawarmas. The fried chicken is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The ribs kabab is juicy and tender. Save some room for one of their desserts, you won t be disappointed (reco: walnut katayef).

Great dinner last night with my wife and another couple before going to see Sebastian M. Food was superb and service was excellent. Shared many different plates which was the way to go allowing everyone to try more of their food. Will definitely go back and cant recommend this place enough. Vegetarian options: So many options for vegetarians - we had the olives, brussel sprouts, halloumi, flat bread and so much more.

Was here a few weeks ago for a rehearsals dinner. I told the staff about my sesame allergy and they had every meal that came out tailored to me. The lady who took care of us was the best. They were very accommodating and friendly also patient. Food tasted excellent. I will definitely be back to eat here the next time I visit Toronto.

The starters are flat and disappointing with no flavor, we returned the octopus and the lamb was better but nothing special and the service very slow

Food is mediocre and sized like appetizer dishes. Too much experimental flavors that are not ready for prime time in the most basic mediteranean dishes. The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant but I would be hesitant to eat there again.

Fairly average experience across the board - nothing really stands out as noteworthy. Prices are on the higher side for portions designed for ants. For instance, $26 for some truffle rice? No shot. You can find tastier renditions of items served on their menu at small ethnic restaurants, I recommend going there. This place is a skip in my opinion.

Oh Byblos, Byblos, Byblos, how I want to give you five stars, but I cannot. You ve been a fantastic restaurant providing some really romantic dates with arguably even better bites. From the delicious Branzino which showed my girlfriend fish can in fact be tasty, to the Turkish manti dumplings with their soft sweetness and explosive flavours, to the short rib kebab which was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully, to the highlight of every meal, the black truffle pide; one of the best bites available in Toronto coating the mouth in delicious cheese and truffle flavour. So after all of this Byblos, why? Why did you make the lamb shoulder dish? A salty and overwhelmingly meaty dish, with insulting paper-thin dough things that you refer to as pitas, the sauces also are not innocent, being mediocre at their most tasty. For the great times we ve had together I want to give you a five, you ve really given me some of the best eating experiences I had in this city, but I cannot forgive you for the lamb shoulder. Irregardless, highly recommend coming to Byblos for a romantic date with your significant other and ordering my recommended dishes, you will enjoy! But yeah do not get the lamb shoulder and the insult they call pitas.

The food was pretty good, I recommend the friend shrimp and their lamb shanks. Their appetizers are pretty good as well !! The atmosphere is nice but it s pretty dark in there.

What a wonderful restaurant. The food was amazing! Be sure to order for the table and share dishes. He cost was a little pricey but the quality of the dishes was exceptional. Be sure to try the eggplant dumplings, simply delicious! The decor is beautiful and the waitress was wonderful, giving us great recommendations on the menu. A perfect date night spot.

I love the food at Byblos! It is definitely one of the top Mediterranean restaurants that I have tried. I always thought that maybe I just did not like Mediterranean food, but Byblos proved me wrong. The flavours are amazing and I have gone back 5-6 times already. I have not had a single thing on the menu that has ever disappointed me. Fantastic restaurant!

Very average food, not sure why they call it middle eastern as the menu did not have much choice, Wagyu Kofta meat was not tender at all, hummus was dry and below average, salad greens had a puny serving of spinach and onions, dumplings were tiny . Not sure why there are so high ratings????

Fantastic. Brilliant server with awesome recommendations. Gorgeous Spanish wine 2019 la universal dido , crispy stuffed olives to start, lamb shoulder, sweet jewelleries rice roasted cauliflower.

This was the best food experience that Ive had in Toronto. Extremely good food and good service; its expensive but worth every dollar. So good to finally have a fine dining experience thats actually worth the money you pay. The only thing Id recommend is to have better mocktail options, I tried the 3 that they offer and they were not good at all.

My colleagues and I were excited to reunite and have dinner at this restaurant last Monday, but instead we left with a bad taste in our mouth. This was supposed to be a formal dinner with senior executives and colleagues around the world. The server was incredibly rude from start to finish, his customer service skills less than polite. The plates were not prudently laid in front of us, there was a lot of banging. When we asked to speed up the process of serving each dish, we were given a sarcastic response. The whole affair could have been handled with grace but the rude attitude took away from the taste of the food and the ambience of the restaurant and we were ready to leave only a few minutes in. I just hope my colleagues from overseas do not mistake this mediocre service for what true Canadian fine dining service is. We will definitely take our business elsewhere next time.

It was so freaking good

Second time dining here after 10 years and remembered why I never came back. Food arrived cold, quality was quite poor considering price. Cocktails were below Toronto average and seemed a bit watered down and lacking in flavour. Service was ok but not attentive. Atmosphere and music not great.

Lovely dining experience. Ordered the Turkish manti dumplings, wagyu lagmeh pide, and lamb shoulder (which is served with thin wraps that are like wonton wrappers, and assorted dips/sauces to form a wrap/taco thing so kind of messy ), which was definitely filling for 2 people. Every dish was delicious. The ambiance is nice, music volume isnt disruptive, service was good. Our server even noted if we had plans to catch a show after the meal so she could ensure wed be well-timed!

Amazing 10/10 food. Long inconsistent service and this seemed to be consistent across multiple visits. Id recommend if youre patient and have time. We were seated at 9:30 PM (not a busy time) and could not leave until midnight. There was at some point a 45 minute lull between dishes. BUT the people are nice and they did comp a few things like drinks to apologize for the wait and we did not have to ask. I respect that. If its a one off I understand, but it shouldnt be your reputation. Portions are large and shareable. Pide and manti dumplings are highly recommended.

The service was equally impressive our server was incredibly attentive, making sure we were comfortable and well-cared for throughout the evening. Cocktails: While the cocktails were decent, I have to admit they were a bit underwhelming for the price. At $24 each, I expected more in terms of both size and flavor. The drinks were on the smaller side, and while they were well-made, they didn t quite justify the cost. Beef tartare & Turkish Dumplings AMAZING! Halloumi cheese, can be skipped! Just left and already want to go back!

Went here for my birthday dinner. The beef tartare is THE BEST beef tartare Ive ever eaten in Toronto and the lamb shoulder was extremely tasty. Amazing food and friendly service. Good location too, very close to theatres.

While we thoroughly enjoyed all the food we ordered - the service was truly disappointing. The host staff seemed to be generally cold to all those arriving, or leaving, including us. And our server was extremely inattentive & seemed annoyed from the get go; at first we were sympathetic since it seemed she was overwhelmed with tables under her care but then we watched her spend an inordinate amount of time with 2 tables around us (presumably those spending more $$ than us) & would disappear for large chunks of time or spend a long time chatting with them while we tried to get her attention, simply for the menus & our bill.

This was recommended by a friend and I highly recommend it! Delicious food, great service and the vibe was great! It s a family/tapas style so be prepared to share! Vegetarian options: They have multiple options and are very accommodating when they can :)

The food was delicious, we sampled 4 Small plates, 2 large plates & 2 side vegetables for a group of 4 and had plenty. The service was excellent with staff very knowledgeable about the menu & it s specifics in preparation. Highly recommend!

Nice and Attractive

Food didn t miss. We had halloumi, octopus, the fries, kebab, fried chicken and truffle rice. Everything was amazing and if I was to skip one it would maybe be the octopus. Though the portions for it were huge which was great. Didn t try the pide this time but it looks amazing. The sauce for the fried chicken is so so good. Must order. Vibe on a Saturday night is super fun :)!

Came for a dinner with friends, I thought the food had great flavour and restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but a bit pricey for the portion sizes. We started with the hummus and yogurt dip, both were good with the bread, I might just do the hummus next time as many of the dishes come with a yogurt dip. For the appetizers the fried eggplant was our favourite, the manti/dumplings were great as well. We also enjoyed the fried chicken as the main, I thought the drinks were average. Service was friendly, restaurant entrance is a bit hard to find. If youre coming for a bday, theres a $5/person fee if youd like to have your own cake.

Very surprised by the downturn in service quality at this location. Food was still great but the service was lacking. Interactions between the staff were tense and you could see the spillover in the way staff communicated with us. It felt like we were unwanted visitors in the midst of a family feud. No explanation of the menu items, barely ever got checked in with. When we did have interactions with the staff, very to the point and stern. Maybe just caught them on a bad day

Tastes are good for a middle eastern restaurant, though doesn t worth the price! The portions are unbelievably small. To share section of menu is actually not really for sharing! Though the quality of meat, tastes were great! When I was there, it was very crowded and it took 35 minutes for our food to be ready! The staff are overwhelmed and do not bother themselves to patiently talk with the costumers and ask what we need! We got beef pide, and lamb ribs.

Nice little restaurant in Toronto. Make sure to book in advance if you want to go. We particularly enjoyed the tuna tartar and half chicken with rice. The service was very good to start with but as he restaurant filled up, the waiters became overwhelmed and we felt forgotten. I would still go back as the overall experience is very positive.

Amazing experience dining at this location! The food was so delicious and had such a unique flavour palette. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the drink menu has fun cocktails/mocktails. They have vegetarian options as well. I would recommend making a reservation to ensure a table before you go!

One of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at! Service was fantastic, food was incredible, ambience is beautiful. This little gem is a can t miss. We had - short ribs, roast chicken, halibut, arugula and pear salad, cauliflower, flatbread with truffles, jewel rice. All were amazing.

My favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Toronto

Is this really supposed to be a Greek/Mediterranean restaurant? With no olive oil on the table?! These guys have absolutely no clue! Menu is very limited, service is snobbish and terribly slow... not a trace of what an authentic mediterranean restaurant should be. Since its definitely not worth the price, stay away from this trap! Kid-friendliness: Not welcoming for children at all!

Really nice atmosphere, from the hostess to the waiter everyone was so kind and professional. The Turkish manti dumplings and stuffed eggplant were both pretty good, the black truffle and cheese pide was amazing, but the star of the night were definitely the lamb shoulder and sweet jewelled rice paired together SO GOOD. Definitely recommend Byblos for a candle-lit dinner date, the place has a very romantic vibe.

The servers are condescending, they lack an environment of being genuinely kind. Ngl it left a bad impression of the entire place. Probably won t ever be going back for this reason. In terms of food, the portion sizes are small if you re going with a group of 4, would recommend order 2 mains and 2 + sides to be decently full, but over all the food was good.

Was recommended by staff members from another restaurant :-) Byblos hostess and servers were excellent and instantly put us at ease. We followed our server s suggestions and enjoyed the Turkish Manti Dumplings and the Wagyu Lahmeh Pide to start. The Short Rib Kebab was tender and flavourful, and the Middle Eastern Fried Chicken was excellent. I would highly recommend :-)

Came here to have dinner with my family from overseas. Been here many time before. The food was good but not great like it used to be. Server was extremely rude. We asked him questions and he would give us rude responses. We asked for a picture when we got the food and he said he was too busy even though he was standing there doing nothing. We were also forced to give a 18% mandatory tip after receiving awful service.

Thoroughly confused by the positive reviews. The hostesses were cold as ice to start, and the waiter didn t bother to crack a smile or even attempt to come across as cordial or welcoming. The food was genuinely mediocre. The octopus was lukewarm and tough, the mantis weren t as meaty as expected, the fries tasted like regular fast food fries with barely any zaatar, and the sautéed vegetables tasted like watery spinach. The short rib was fine but nothing memorable. Absolutely not worth it.

This was probably 4th or 5th time we visited. Did not disappoint at all. Food was excellent and service even better ! Good job guys.

Everything was perfect.

It was our first time at Byblos- it close proximity to the Princess of Wales theatre. We ordered the labneh as an app along with the Ankara Elixir, which is their twist on the espresso martini. Labneh was rich and creamy with some sweetness added from the beets, perfect start to the meal. We enjoyed the drink as well because it wasnt as sweet or acidic as your typical espresso martini. For our mains we ordered the wagyu beef kebobs and the jeweled rice. The rice was my favourite item of the night! I highly recommend it. I think you could pair with any of the proteins. Finally we ended with a mint tea and a slice of the lemon olive cake with pistachio chantilly. The cake was tasty but a bit dense. But I would order it again... The portions are a larger tapas style but it was a bit pricey for the amount you of food you get. It was fine to share with my mom but if it was with my husband, our bill would have doubled. Good vibes and low-key atmosphere. I am excited to visit again and try the other items on the menu like their dumplings.

Fantastic restaurant. We recently dined here with friends and the ambience, staff, food and experience were all incredible. Our favourites were the crispy stuffed olives, halloumi, and the lamb shoulder, which was far and way the best, most flavourful, most delicious lamb we have ever had and it was a huge portion. Incredible!

Great bartender. Old Fashioneds were off the charts. The flatbreads (Pide) were off the charts. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 6 ladies, and we all loved the food and atmosphere and service. The only dish we all disliked was the Pide. It was pretty boring and teeny, a bit overdone, and I wouldnt order it again. We couldnt understand how the sharing menu worked, and our server tried hard to explain it, but it was still a bit confusing. Basically, believe the wait staff when they tell you to order two mains per person. We had asked if they were tapas, and she said no, so we were confused about ordering two mains each, but when they came, we understood. Theyre basically... large tapas? Food is pricey but expected for this type of restaurant, and its worth every penny. Tbh, I kinda wish we had skipped our post dinner plans so that we couldve hung out longer at this awesome resto.

Lamb ribs were mostly fatty, wasn t a fan. The sweet jewelled rice had to be the best rice I ever had and dumplings were very good, The wagyu lahmeh was nice and spicy! However, I was truly shocked when I asked for hot sauce and the waiter gave me FRANKS hot sauce about 50ml and charged me $3 for it without telling me. Putting charges on peoples bill without informing them is a violation of customer service, also you would also expect them to hand in house hot sauce. Was very surprised at the waiter doing this, really took a 360 turn on the quality of service, they also have the hot sauce titled something else on the receipt when it s actually franks hot sauce.

Everything we ordered was a 10/10! Wagyu kofta, cauliflower, Turkish Manti dumplings and tuna tartare were all perfect and it was a great mix of flavours. Loved it!. First time having the Turkish Manti dumplings and thoroughly enjoyed it. Oh yeah, the lemon olive oil cake .

The food was absolutely divine. The Turkish dumplings melt in your mouth, we had to order a second serving because they were just that good. The short rib kebab was tender and juicy. We also tried the wagyu pide, lamb ribs, and octopus. I m docking stars off for the service as our server was rude. Our receipt notes our server was Geordie (bald man), he needs to work on his attitude towards customers. Also, by the end of our meal, the music was so loud we could barely hear each other talk.

Yesterday I had a dinner with my office colleagues at Byblos Downtown, we absolutely loved the food, the ambiance was so good, the service was awesome, must go place in downtown.

The food quality has significantly deteriorated. Meat was way too fatty fir example. Portions seemed smaller than before, some Dishes were bland. Service was ok but it was super loud - it was impossible to have a conversation or relax and enjoy Food

Beautiful space, dim lighting. The service was top notch and the food was perfection. The short rib melts in your mouth and the wagyu Kofta was soo flavourful and the sauces served with each dish was delicious. The rice had great balance and I loved the sauce for the Manti dumplings. Only bad thing i could say about this restaurant is that they say you can share things, but trust me u dont want to share anything its that good May26th went back again recently. Tried the lamb shoulder, fried chicken and one of the dips. 10/10! This place does not disappoint. Server was kinda boring thoe. Quick but not really interacting like other servers...and there was literally only us and one table

The sure do pack a lot of flavour in that basement. We had the dumplings, the fried chicken, the jewelled rice and the cheese and truffle pide. All were amazing. I wanted to order more food but I was too full. Highly reccomend.

Had a birthday dinner here for a friend, but unfortunately the server ruined the entire vibe of our celebration. She had us order way more food than we needed and gaslit us into thinking that our original food order would not be enough for us, when in fact it was all we needed. Food was incredibly overpriced. And the server was patronizing to us.

Really enjoyed dinner here last night! We got the crispy shrimp and gem salad to start, and split the roasted half chicken and the eggplant for mains, finishing off with the lemon olive oil cake. Each dish was delicious and would recommend to others. Also shared the cold tea cocktail experience which was very tasty (tasted like iced tea). Would recommend coming here!

If you are expecting a nice restaurant then this place is not it. It is a fast food restaurant where you place your order at the front counter then wait for it. A beautiful restaurant that is considered closer to Greek cuisine, but unique with special flavours. I recommend the lamb shoulder and I recommend the chocolate cake with olive oil.

Its a very modern twist on middle eastern food using a Mezza approach ( multiple small dishes). We went for dinner and had a variety of dishes. All the food was incredibly delicious though a tad pricey. Octopus and Middle Eastern chicken dishes were standouts. The olive oil cake was really really good. Service was incredible. One disappointment was the zahatar fries, not enough zatar, felt they skimped on it. *** Its super loud in there, showing how busy it was, but making it a bit hard to hear. Its almost a staple thing for TO these days. *** Not much of Middle Eastern decor . No middle Eastern music either. *** Menu is great although non- Arabs might have a hard time understanding things. If that happens, ask your server. Ours was really good. All in all, a really good night with great food and great company. Would reccomend.

I recently had an unfortunate dining experience at this restaurant. The server was very condescending and rude to me and my friends. She lacked proper customer service skills and made us feel extremely uncomfortable throughout our meal. She repeatedly pressured us to order more food than we intended, which only added to the discomfort. While I dont remember her name, it is clear that she could benefit from training on how to treat customers respectfully. This experience was disappointing and has made me hesitant to return.

Great middle eastern restaurant with lots of small plate dishes that can be shared. Only downside is that the outside of the place looks like an abandoned factory. You would never know its a furnished restaurant from the current outside facade. They need better signage.

Solid 4/5 - great food, vibes, and service. Highly recommend the Lentil Pide. It s like eating a warm hug on a fall afternoon you ll get it when you try it. The Labneh was solid. Wish there was more of it to eat, it was that good. Tuna Tartar was more of a watermelon salad while it was fresh I wouldn t call it a tuna tartar. Turkish dumplings were tasty. They had a particular flavour that we liked, but not for all. I would go back, and try more off the menu!

A bit disappointing. We ordered the manti dumplings, the lentil fido, and the cauliflower. Clearly someone put in a lot of effort in their preparation, but the flavors in all of them were off: too much, too loud, a bit disharmonic. The atmosphere somehow also didnt work. It was cluttered without enough personal space, the noise made it hard to have a conversation, and the service felt a little unpleasant. The price tag doesnt seem appropriate for the experience.

The food is amazing and the service is 5 plus star!!! I never leave reviews but this was exceptional all around. They brought us substitutes because two in our group mentioned an allergy (that made her not be able to eat one option only) and a food preference (again that meant she didn t eat the lamb only). We did not expect that at all! Both extra dishes were absolutely delicious. Don t hesitate to give this place a try. Thank you for making my birthday dinner so special.

Amazing service, ambiance, and food. Truffle pide, lamb pide, halloumi, Turkish dumplings, and jasmine rice were absolute stand outs. Especially the dumplings. Short rib was disappointing, particularly for the price point. Would not recommend ordering that at all. But overall, amazing experience!

Service was incredible. As was the food. Very shareable which is nice to try multiple different dishes. Lots of well balanced flavours. Our leftovers were also labelled which I thought was a really thoughtful touch.

Somewhat, it was difficult to find the entrance , especially in the night! It has a small entrance door with a small sign, which is too hard to read it in the night! While the portion of the food was very small , the price was very expensive! The staff were very unperfetionsl and they didnt care about our orders! I dont recommend this place!

My husband and I were in town for a show and I d read several reviews about how yummy this place was. We were pleasantly surprised by the quaint yet urban vibes and loved our waiter s knowledge of the menu and ingredients. We ordered so much food and everything was amazing, especially the fried chicken and ribs. We would definitely go back.

Wow! This is easily within our top five best restaurants we have been to in Toronto. A nice change of menu and a variety of sharing dishes. Our waiter did a great job of explaining what the best course of action would be and how many dishes we should order for a group of four people. It turns out the right answer is seven dishes, and two desserts. Some things that we ordered, I never would have considered getting to our waiter and his explanation. We decided to go for it and boy what a treat that was. I would highly recommend ordering the lamb shoulder as well as the lentil flatbread. To be quite honest nothing misses at this place.

Michael the guy who greeted and seated me was great. The food was too. The server was knowledgeable, but I found her not friendly enough, and brought a bit of distraction to a first date. The plates were cleared late. I stacked them myself. Depends what you like from service. I did not like it.

Great restaurant for shareables! They have nice wine and a delicious menu. The Turkish manti dumplings are excellent and so is the jasmine rice. The service is attentive, professional, and friendly! Best way to get there is by using the subway as there arent great parking options.

The storefront was hard to find: it s tucked away at the back of the brick buildings and the signage is very lowkey. Inside is fabulous. Loved the cocktails and the appetizers. Try the hummus, it s divine. Great service too and make sure you make a reservation

Had a really great experience here a few nights ago. The seating and atmosphere is very nice. Our server made great recommendations based on what we were looking for and the amount of people we were with, everything is shareable. Fried eggplant, beef tartare, shrimp and the hot honey fried chicken were amazing.

Delicious, delicious cocktails! The labneh cheesecake is literally to die for! Everything was spectacular and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Lovely ambiance and pretty decor onside, with pretty details on the walls. Tried the hummus, halloumi, labneh, kofta, and very notably the thrice cooked fries :)

Overall had a great time and enjoyed the food. We ll probably come back and try other dishes. We came right at opening time so the service and wait time was perfect. Later on it started to get busy and we waited a little longer than expected to order desserts. What we ordered: -Turkish dumplings 7.5/10, a little salty but tasty. -The black truffle pide 8/10, was fine but found it a bit small for the price. -Middle Eastern fired chicken 8.5/10, was the best dish we had. Chicken was seasoned well and the hot honey sauce was a nice addition - Thrice cooked fries 7/10, basic fries with seasoning. DRINKS - The Geographer 10/10, delicious - Mediterranean Mule 9/10, delicious DESSERT - Labneh Cheesecake 6/10, a little sour tasting. Wish it was a little sweeter - Lemon Olive Oil cake 7/10, not bad.. tasty

Fusion food with various Middle Eastern influences. Overall highly enjoyable experience. I came here with a friend and tried there arugula and pear salad, beef tartar, kofta, skewered beef ribs, and jeweled rice. Finished off with some cheesecake and Turkish coffee. 1. Minor feedback is that although Turkish coffee on the menu listed cardamom, there was none in our coffee. We had to request for it on the side. Furthermore it would have been nice if the coffee had a bit more crema that is typically seen in Turkish coffee.

My friends and I went for dinner and we had such a good time! Food was exquisite and our server was very attentive. The Harrisa Chicken is a must try so is the Black truffle rice! We will definitely come back!

Wow, this was a stellar experience! Byblos not only lived up to its great reputation, it exceeded all of our expectations in every way. Every single guest in our party of four fell in love and agreed this will be our new spot for get-togethers and celebrations. Every dish was unique and exceptional. A blend of comfort food warmth and complex (often unexpected) flavours and textures made it an elevated, almost euphoric experience. Even their little scoop of ice cream at the end was like... the best ice cream Ive ever had? I keep thinking about it! Our server was the kind you usually only meet at top restaurants. Instantly charming and likeable, perfectly knowledgeable with an intimate understanding of the menus nuances, and remarkably attentive (shortly after we arrived, I quietly slipped my gum into the paper beverage napkin and within 10 seconds it was discretely whisked away and replaced with a fresh one. Thats just one of many examples). Really top-tier. Although the space itself was elegant and beautifully designed- avoiding any trite/overly trendy design gimmicks- the ambiance was cozy, intimate, and relaxed. Everyone was bathed in a romantic, rose-gold light, and every corner was sparklingly clean. It did get a bit loud at their peak (around 8:30 when we were there), but there was a pretty rowdy table right behind us which may have skewed things. Honestly though, it could have been deafening and Id still give this place as many stars as Im allowed.

I visited Byblos tonight and everything was delicious! I shared the Turkish manti dumplings, lamb shoulder, and labneh cheesecake. The ambiance of the 2nd floor made for a very pleasant and cozy dinner. Hope to visit here again in the future!

Had a 10/10 experience here for my girl s bachelorette dinner. Let them know in advance about dietary restrictions and they were extremely accommodating without even having to ask. No one felt left out of any menu item due to dietary restrictions. Our server Cody had excellent menu knowledge and great recommendations for us. Very patient and attentive as well. Everything came out on time. Food was very delicious. I have only good things to say about this experience, would definitely come again! Thanks so much for making the evening seamless.

Service is top notch and great to share everything

Dined at Byblos for my 4 year anniversary. The restaurant itself was beautiful, both floors were beautifully designed. Our server Alex was extremely pleasant. Great conversation and she made fantastic recommendations. Started with the beef tartare and hummus. The tartare was a 10 for me, absolutely amazing. Lavash crackers were a great side. My girlfriend found it a bit spicy but amazing. The hummus was great. The sumac onions and Turkish chilli really uplifted the dish. I felt the actual hummus was a tad bit under seasoned but everything meshed well. We got the short rib kebab and the black truffle fries and a side of their fries. Everything was delicious. Their menu is well thought out and everything pairs well. Got the chocolate olive oil cake to finish. The attention to detail was insane. To the entire team that were with us tonight. Thank you

This place was awful. Came a couple years ago and it seemed decent. Attended this weekend and it was terrible. Loud and hard to hear, the food was greasy and overly salted. The halloumi has sat under the salamander until it is as black. The fried eggplant was disgusting. Like eggplant chips but literally dripping grease and inedible salty. I won t go on but the rest of the meal was even worse. This place is about the scene and the dj not the food and he atmosphere. Our server used the exact same script to talk to us and the adjoining table. This is a place people go to be seen. It s awful and in a town with so many great restaurants it s odd it s so successful.

This place is amazing!! We have eaten at some of the best restaurants and it s the best we have eaten at. The food is so flavorful and well seasoned. Every dish we had: Labneh: that bread was seasoned so well and the sourness of the yogurt. I could have licked the plate Lamb shoulder: the lamb was so moist and flavorful, the garnishes were on point-garlic sauce, pickles, hot sauce, perfection Sweet jeweled rice: I couldn t stop eating it. The sweetness is the saffron and crunchiness of pomegranates and other things were so satisfying Roasted beets: it was a great counter point to the rich food. It was earthy and syrupy, so tasty For my husband s birthday, we had the chocolate olive oil cake and Turkish coffee. It was literally the moistest cake I ve ever had. The service was amazing! My water glass was never empty and she was so knowledgeable. The restaurant is also so warm and vibey. This is one is the best restaurants we have ever been to and can t wait to come back!!

Visited here for the first time and it was amazing! We had the labneh, manti dumplings and harissa roasted half chicken, all of which were tasty! The staff were kind and we got our food pretty quickly as they respected we had somewhere else to be in an hour. Only downside is that it was challenging to find the place as their sign (name) isnt very visible from afar. Overall, great experience and will be visiting again.

Title: Mixed Experience, Not Recommended My dining experience at this restaurant left me with mixed feelings. The lamb dish, unfortunately, tasted overly oily, and I found the overall pricing to be on the higher side for what was offered. However, I must admit that the drinks were a highlight, delivering a satisfying experience. One notable drawback was the inconsistency in service the food for our party wasnt brought to the table simultaneously. This timing issue disrupted the dining flow and detracted from the overall enjoyment. Would not recommend!

Our server didn t care much about us, poured water all over the table while serving water and didn t even notice, didn t check on us, and very late in getting our orders. Byblos is a popular/famous Mediterranean restaurant in the entertainment district. We booked a reservation here weeks in advance. We found out that the restaurant was actually closed for a few weeks before our reservation but they didnt specify when they were reopening. So we called so many times to confirm when they were reopening but nobody ever picked up the phone. When we showed up for a reservation it turned out that only the first floor was under renovation and the second floor was open for dine in. Wash rooms and event spaces are on the third floor which is not accessible except by stairs. The second floor has a sophisticated vibe with semicircle booth seating as well as a dimly lit bar. Servers here are very attentive, but pretty strict about seating time and we felt like we were rushed to finish eating. We had the roast half chicken for the main, the dumplings for our starter, and the jeweled rice as our side. I like the dumplings but for me the roast half chicken in the jeweled rice were very outstanding dishes. This was an ok amount of food for two people and we left feeling satisfied. Our total was 95 before tip so that is reasonable for a nice dinner out. Highly recommend for a date or special occasion.

Biblos offers pretty good food, but unfortunately, the service falls short. The waiter seemed disinterested and inattentive, which detracted from the overall experience. Its an average spot for dining out.

We went to Byblos for the valentine day special dinner. It was a 4 course menu with about 3 options for every course. For the first course, we ordered tuna tartare and beetroot labneh.. The tuna tartare came with fried chips - very similar to Indian mathri, the combination was extraordinary with watermelon pieces, avocado purée and rocket green complementing the tartare very well. The labneh came with zaatar bread and was exceptional. The sweetness of beetroot along with tango was of the labneh made for a great experience. We ordered lamb ribs and crispy shrimp for the second course. The ribs were melt in mouth with perfect Mediterranean seasonings. The crispy was a regular fried shrimp but the accompanying sauce was very flavourful. We had grilled Branzino fish with triple cooked fries and eggplant schnitzel with sweet jeweled rice.. All the dishes were amazing but the star was the rice and the fish. The fish was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and came with a minty purée which took the flavour profile to another level. The rice was cooked very simply but was packed with fried nuts, pickles, pomegranate and a very unique improvisation in the form of fried saffron. Finally, for dessert we had the chocolate cake which ensured that our experience ended on a high note.. Highly recommend for a unique food experience and there is no doubt why this is rated as one of the best restaurants in Toronto.

Went to Byblos for our anniversary. The ambience is a slightly different from what I expected, very dully and a low lit restaurant. I guess they were trying to go for a high end look, but all the decor was just average. Bathrooms were quite dirty for a high end restaurant. Service was great, food was nothing to rave about. Vegetarian options are limited. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience, wouldnt go back again. Amal in Yorkville is FAR better, way nicer ambience and bigger menu for the same price point.

This is some of the best food I ve had in Toronto, along with some of the best service I ve had at any restaurant. They are very accommodating for any dietary restrictions or preferences, and they make sure you re receiving the best service. Some of my favourite dishes were the beef tartare, tuna crudo, lamb ribs, gem salad, wagyu lahme pide, and the lamb shoulder. Any time I want to impress a friend, I bring them to this restaurant. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is fantastic. From the romantic lighting, to the service to the food. We went for date night and were in a time crunch as we had to get to the theater. They were able to keep our good moving along without comprising a minute of service. Our server was unbelievable. Completely on point when it came to recommendations and portion sizes. We got the hummus, radicchio salad and the lamb shoulder. The lamb shoulder came with these delicious side sauces and wraps. Overall a fantastic experience.

Just imagine trying to find this place and after walking back and forth for 20 minutes finally seeing what looks like a Little hobbit hole for a door. You open the door and suddenly are wisked away to an enchanted dimension. The lighting was not great but the food is absolutely mind blowing!
