Funky eatery with country-chic decor serving Middle Eastern & European Jewish dishes.
Fat Pasha is a delightful gem that offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere paired with exceptional food and service. From the moment you step in, the warm, intimate vibe makes you feel right at home. For added convenience, they offer a coat check, and parking is a breeze with ample street parking and a garage located just next door. The staff is truly wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about ensuring you have a great dining experience. Their standout dish, the Roasted Cauliflower, is an absolute must-try; it’s flavorful, perfectly prepared, and lives up to its reputation. The famous platters are also a highlight, offering a delicious variety that’s perfect for sharing. Whether you’re dining solo, with a group, or on a date, Fat Pasha’s charm, combined with its outstanding food and service, makes it a place worth returning to again and again.
Had to write a review just to mention how amazing the staff is!!! From the moment that we arrived everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and asked if they did anything special for the occasion. They noted that we probably wouldn’t have room for dessert (and they were so right about that) and said they can add a candle with the platter that we ordered. ADDITIONALLY, we had a bouquet of flowers and they came over with a vase with water to keep the flowers in - this was so incredibly thoughtful. Will be recommending to family and friends :)
The perfect brunch spot !! We had such a good time. The portions are huge, and the food is phenomenal. Everything was super tasty and the severs were really attentive.
We made the trip all the way from Hamilton for brunch on the eve of October 7th to support our local Jewish community, and it was totally worth it! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our requests, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious and authentically Israeli – everything from the fresh eggs to the perfectly cooked chicken was spot on. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming spot with amazing food, definitely check this place out. We’ll be back for sure!
The last time I visited Fat Pasha was before COVID and I was glad to see the restaurant is still doing well and it still had that homey atmosphere. The humus and muhammara were both excellent. The roasted cauliflower was well prepared. The falafels had an unusual lemony/citrus taste that prompted us to speak with the wait staff. A new batch was delivered quickly and it was much better. The lamb and beef kefte was a little overdone unfortunately. However, the mint tea was wonderful and the warm tahini brownie stole the show! The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was cozy and it had the vibe of the neighbourhood.
Fat Pasha has one of the best patios in the entire city that’s hidden in their backyard. You’re immersed in a cozy and green setting that’s just perfect for summer nights. Food wise; the platter is a must. You’ll get to sample some of their favourite dips. Their baba ganoush was my favourite, as it was very smokey and rich. The cauliflower is also a show stealer. It usually comes with pomegranate but they ran out on this particular day. I think the addition of pomegranate would have helped cut down on the richness. Steak and shawarma dishes were both tasty, and the steak comes out with some nice char.
We recently ordered the chicken shawarma, hummus, and pita bread, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The flavors were exceptionally authentic, with each bite of the hummus bursting with the rich, earthy taste of chickpeas and a perfect hint of garlic. The chicken shawarma was incredibly tender, almost melting in the mouth, showcasing the chef’s expertise in preparing this classic dish. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience. We chose to sit on the patio, which was an excellent decision. The outdoor seating area was beautifully shaded by lush trees, providing a serene and cool environment that enhanced our dining pleasure. While the food and ambiance were top-notch, there is room for improvement in the service. A more friendly and attentive approach from the staff would have elevated the experience even further. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a truly authentic and enjoyable dining experience.
Excellent small restaurant serving authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. We had a small Salatim platter for starter; Chicken Shawarma, beef with tomatoes, roast cauliflower for mains; banana pudding & a warm chocolate cake for desserts. All the dishes were delicious & well presented. It was quite quiet as we went on a Monday. Service was prompt, attentive & professional.
Amazing food, friendly and fast service
This is one of the most noisy restaurants Ive ever been too. When you had to shout out every single word, you didnt feel like talking to your companion anymore. Tables are very small and crowded. Because of the tight space, there seemed always to be a dozen people trying to pass beside or behind you. Food: mint tea is very good. Pudding is not bad either. Thats the only two things I liked - everything else is too heavy. The food is drowning in a sea of sauces.
We tried this restaurant for the first time. Our order was chicken shawarma, fried cauliflower and pastrami hash. It took around 30 min for the food to come. Shawarma plate was small but the other two were ok. Cauliflower was delicious. A bit over priced overall but good to give it a try. Customer service was good .
Please ignore the 1 star politically charged fake reviews. Fat Pasha was UNREAL tonight. Everything we ordered was incredibly flavorful and just amazing. Our server Aidan was friendly, funny, and made great suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and cannot wait to be back! I ve heard about Fat Pasha for so long I can t believe it took me this long to finally try it.
Nice an cozy place with good food and service. My friends took me for my birthday and the staff made it to feel special for me. Food
On a recommendation we tried Fat Pasha. The small space and eclectic decor was very appealing. Our food was created with care and had fabulous flavours. Kudos to all. Make a booking and give yourself a treat.
Have come here for years and the food is always delicious ! but make sure to make a reservation before coming though.
Update: Visited after 2 years on 12/2/24. Still same quality service and food. Def a must go place. Had a diff experience. It is a bit pricy, but get good size portions. The ambience is nice. Food quality is exceptional and service is nice as well.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, even explained all the dips to us! Would definitely recommend it! <3
Beautiful experience. Staff were outstanding. Hospitality done right.
The hummus is that proper creamy Israeli style hummus. Had the hummus with brisket, eggs and feta. It came with lots of caramelized onions and olive oil. Looked like a small plate but ended up taking half home because it was so rich. Will definitely make it a staple in my restaurant rotation.
The food was good, npt great, the drinks were strong, but not tasty, the service was ok. My son (16) asked for more pita to go with the dip platter and was denied. Why? Would not go back.
The cauliflower dish is a must try and the entire party of 4 agreed it was best dish for the night.
We had an incredible experience here: they were phenomenal in accommodating to my friend s dietary needs, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and unpretentious. You can tell that the staff really care about providing a personal and warm experience and were beyond kind. Thank you! Dietary restrictions: Vegan-friendly
Went with a group and had a wonderful time. The food was very good and service was amazing.
Great food! Very friendly & accommodating owner & staff. But a couple of things were missing...staff was too busy and had to be flagged down for service. No one asked if we needed anything once the food was served. Seating, if youre 2 people, is extremely cramped & uncomfortable. With the quality of food, these guys need a bigger place. Will order takeout, extremely unlikely Ill dine in again.
Was all delicious. Very friendly service.
Dont overthink it. Come here. The food is to DIE for. Trust me, Im fresh off the boat and very particular about middle eastern food and this place nailed it.
I had an awesome time and loved the food with a close friend of mine. Since were both light eaters, we ordered the roasted cauliflower and a muhammara and we were full. I also ordered the peach syrup gazoz and I loved it! For me, the food and drink was all on point!
One of the best dining experiences my partner and I have ever had in the city ! Food was top notch, we tried multiple plates and everything was delicious. Their cocktails and unique and tasty, but best of all the staff was generally invested in ensuring we had a great time. Will be recommending this place to all of our friends and family :)
This is such an exceptional place! We were fortunate to celebrate Rosh Hashanah at this wonderful restaurant. I still miss the chopped liver & delectable challah...we must come back
Great place to dine in. Went on a Wednesday evening and the place was packed. Advised to make prior reservations. Tables spaced so close to each other, felt like dining with a group of people despite only 2 of us visiting lol. Great service. Platter options were amazing. Average main course. Should visit this place once.
The worst brunch experience I have ever had. Bad bad bad. The food took about one hour to arrive. I am 99% sure the sassy server forgot to put in the order. 2 people at our table ordered the lox and the kitchen forgot to serve the lox as part of the dish. When we asked about the missing main ingredient, the server gaslit us and questioned whether lox was part of the dish in the first place. When they finally brought out my food, the pita bread had mold on it.
To start the seating is extremely uncomfortable. Straight wooden benches that hurt your back. Maybe they re there to keep people from staying too long, but an uncomfortable customer is an unhappy customer. Prices are not cheap for the portions served, but that didn t matter because the food, which is usually good was over salted to the point of inedible. Every dish was just salt, salt and more salt. The only reason I gave the food 2 stars was the sips were good (and not overly salted) I don t think I would go back.
The food is just not up to par. Truly disappointing. It doesn t have authentic flavours. Chicken Shawarma was chewy and slimy. Fattoush was not a real fattoush salad and was stale. Overall way too expensive for what it is.
My bestie and I tried Fat Pasha for the first time and I cant wait to come back. The food was top tier and the wait staff were warm and invested in a great experience. The atmosphere was cozy, artsy and welcoming. The cocktails were special and superb. 10 stars if I could!
Everything is insanely overpriced. Food was ok but nowhere near worth the money. 2 crappy pieces of bread and some small bowls filled with mushed rehydrated beans is not worth $40. Crappy canned beer is not worth $12. The brisket would have been worth it if the portion served was 4x bigger. We left feeling ripped off and hungry. This place is not worth visiting. Our server was great though.
Loved this gem . They were sold out of the Beef and Lamb Kafta , we went with our servers recommendation. The pickle brings 1/2 chicken was incredible! The steak wasnt a very large cut but top tier . The two dishes were perfect for sharing and the banana pudding and chocolate brownie were the perfect deserts to share . Highly recommend this place .
Fat pasha did not miss. Falafel, labneh, pita, hummus all reminded me of tel aviv. The tahini brownies to finish are incredible. Loved it and will definitely come back for my tel aviv fix
Fat Pasha never disappoints. The salatim platter is always a must and after that we get what we re in the mood for. Fatoosh salad and roasted cauliflower are excellent. Chicken shawarma on hummus and roasted potatoes are also lovely. I can t recall ordering anything here I didn t love in the 10+ times I ve visited. Enjoy
We were at Fat Pasha for a late light dinner recently. From the outside, the area looked dark and we werent sure it was open. But inside, the place was hopping. The service was friendly and enthusiastic. We ordered the salattim platter - which came with a variety of middle eastern appetizers including hummus, felafel, tehuna, labaneh, salad and other dishes. The felafel balls were great and the humus was quite tasty. They had schug (Yemenite hot sauce) on the menu but it wasnt really authentic and had no kick. Some of the other salads were hot or miss. A potato and halumi cheese dish was so-so. The portion size overall was nice - the platter was more than enough for two as a main course. The pricing was moderate. We didnt order any of the other mains though I think there was at least one fish dish on the menu. Fun place to eat and I think we would certainly try it again. Not the top mideastern food in the area but overall we enjoyed it.
Latkes with salmon and row were fantastic, highlight of the meal. The hummus brisket platter was different and interesting. Pita was served warm, which is always good to see. Overall nice experience.
They did try, but the place is too noisy and the food is OK at best. One of our dishes arrived after everyone was basically done with the other dishes. If the prices were lower, I would have given them 4 stars, but when you charge extra, you need to give extra.
The food here is always delicious and the staff are so nice. Highly recommend if you re looking for great middle eastern cuisine
Good staff
Epic food. Perfect service. Cozy environment. Get the platter and feast. The beat dinner I had in a long time
Parking: Parking on the street North of DuPont Food
I find it a little overrated. Cauliflower was overcooked and drinks were mediocre.
Disappointed with the experience and the food, the pita was especially bad, how could you mess up the pita
Delicious, but way overpriced!!! Noy even big portions!
Went to fat pasha for lunch. When entering the restaurant we were asked if we had a reservation even though they were 90% empty and since we didnt they asked us to wait. Furthermore, they never pick up the phone when trying to make a reservation. We ordered the fat salatin platter and the roasted cauliflower and eggs. The waitress didnt mention theres a pomegranate shortage for the cauliflower meal until we asked about it when the meal arrived, as we would have ordered something else. The dips had zero flavour and when they packed it all up they forgot to pack the remaining pita bread. Washrooms were questionable. Overall it was a mediocre meal and not Michelin worthy.
Just wow. Phenomenal food, incredible staff and super cool covered outdoor area!
Very cheap quality food, rude staff took very long to make my food
Dietary restrictions: Rebecca (GM) made great suggestions to ensure I could eat gluten free. Food
Came with another couple of friends to give this place a try. An okay but overpriced food. The Salatim entree for $42? REALLY? A few pitas and 3 dips with 3 falafel balls for half a portion AND $36? One can get a steak meal for this price while what really makes me angry is the greed charging for everything. Starting from a bottle of still water for $8 and continuing with a spicy sauce on the side for $3? Needless to say that nobody mentioned the extra charge. The guy serving us was a good kid and even he seemed to be embarrassed to charging me $3 for a spit of home made hot sauce. Chicken shawarma that is prepared on a stove and reheated and mixed with a ton of fried onion was nowhere close to be authentic or resembling anything Israeli or Jewish. Great recipe for failure imho. Not going to go there again and will not recommend to others. . Additional observations: The way to patio from the main hall is sketchy. Bathrooms are not clean. Bench I was offered to sit at was dirty and was only cleaned after I asked.
Plain flavor, much overpriced
Excellent place to eat ! Its all made in house, fresh, no sugar added to food. Its delicious!!
Price and what you actually get dont align.
Great food. Very friendly staff.
Food and drinks were really tasty. Nice patio. It is family style. If you just ordered a single thing you may be disappointed. But a couple people sharing a few dishes was great.
Went to Fat Pasha for a double celebration last night. What a disappointment after the hype! Weve had far better food for far less. The server put our order in wrong and we waited over and hour for our food by which time we lost our appetite especially after their liver dish, much raved about, turned out to be a dud. Some restaurants offer complimentary drinks or a menu item for ruining a celebration, but not these guys! The Salatim platter was good though, especially the labneh.
This place is great and should definitely have a higher rating on her. Food was beyond amazing. We ordered everything on the shareable menu everything was amazing. The only thing that was underwhelming was the chicken shawarma so maybe skip that. Our favourites were the mezze platter and the head of cauliflower. Our server was so nice and accommodating! What a great experience!
Athmospere was good, Service deserves to get michelline. I tried baba ghanush, I basically wouldnt recommend it. It was just okay. Steak was close to very good. They served a meze with tzatziki and tomato and some basil on it. It was pretty good, it was free of charge. Overall 4.5 starts experience. I am not so sure why they are in michelline guide other than their high level service
Never tried Middle Eastern brunch. Its different and maybe not my thing. Having a huge plate of hummus is not something Im used to. Most of the dishes were good overall. A bit heavy for my taste tho.
Amazing food! Would like to see you offer half a cauliflower dish. Definitely going again.
Food was tasty but overpriced, drinks were just normal would not order them again. Also it was too loud to speak.I would not recommend this place for checking. Food
Bad service, rude and unauthentic food, and most of all, it s not middle eastern.
Food was not good pan fried shawarma and bitter tasting falafel - weirdest tasting pickles - choose the patio if you dine here as inside way too loud. Will return to our main, Tabule
Too overpriced for such size of food. Grilled shrimps are in shells and sauce, which makes it hell to clean them. At 8 pm on Friday we waited 40 mins for a cocktail and had to remind a few times because it looked like they forgot. Cheesecake was nice Food : 3/5 |
The food was good, but the portion sizes were relatively small for a quite high price. The service wasn t the best, we waited for a cocktail for 30 minutes and got it only after we reminded the waiter about it. If you really like this type of food and have a lot of money to spend and patience (to wait for your order), this is a perfect place for you. Also, be ware that you could be fined 20 dollars for each person who doesn t show up for your reservation and they don t allow you to split the bill.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this so-called Middle Eastern restaurant. Firstly, they referred to the cuisine as Israeli, which felt like blatant cultural appropriation. The food itself was mediocre at best, and ridiculously overpriced but what really stood out was the rudeness of the staff. They were dismissive, and downright unpleasant. ---
Just an awesome place. Really enjoyed everything here. Will go back.
Delicious
We met a group of friends one of which had been to F at Pashas before, we got a cosy booth for all of us. Service was attentive and the Henderson Amber ale was great, like a English ale, then we shared the Saladin platter, the Colliflower, the potatoes and the half chicken. All was good, the group loved the potatoes and the mix bread to dips on the platter was good. Definitely would go again.
The whole roasted cauliflower is amazing! Were looking forward to going back for more!
Simply divine dishes, excellent staff & comfortable outdoor seating.
This Michelin-recommended Middle Eastern restaurant offers generous portions at a premium price. Dont miss their flavorful fat salatim dips platter, whole roasted cauliflower, and chicken shawarma. While drinks are available, they are expensive and saving room for the delicious food is definitely worth it. Overall a good experience.
Ive been coming to Fat Pasha since 2017 and it has never let me down. Wonderful staff, comfortable atmosphere, and food you can relate to. Tonight I came with my grandmother and mother for my moms birthday, and they did absolutely everything to accommodate us perfectly. We sat by the kitchen and it was a pleasure to watch the staff run service. We order the salatim every time, and the special, skirt steak with tomatoes and olives, was such a generous portion. We were lucky enough to try all 3 desserts, and the tahini brownies with duhka really stuck with me, though the cheesecake and banana pudding are not to be left out. Huge thanks again to the kitchen and front of house, especially the chef, for making my moms birthday truly special. Until next time!
For the price and the high recommendation, I was hoping for a lot more. The cauliflower was too charred so the char flavor was alll you got. It also wasn t cooked softly so it was hard to cut and annoying to eat. The chicken shawarma was a bit salty, and the fried rice was way too salty. The high light was the sauces that we got in a platter at the beginning, but for the price and the fact that all the other dishes were underwhelming, i don t recommend this place.
This is a great Mediterranean restaurant with great food, vibes, company and staff. Creative dishes with fresh ingredients are complemented by staff who know the menu well and are enthusiastic about what they do. Josh, in particular, was impressive and walked us through the various dips, effortlessly. In the summer, the back patio is also a nice touch. If you re looking for a relaxed place in Toronto to have a fun time with friends and munch on some Mediterranean cuisine, this is the place to be.
One of my favourites in the City. Ive been going for nearly a decade now, and every time it is a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Food is beyond belief, and the atmosphere is a perfect mix of eclectic, elegant and comfortable. Vegetarian options: Many offerings are vegetarian friendly
Phenomenal seating areas, one of the best in Toronto. Had the classic humus, serving was large enough for three people. Definitely a place I will be bringing my friends from out of town.
We got here pretty late & close to closing, but got impeccable service! Our server was incredibly nice & the food was piping hot. Will definitely visit again :)
This place is amazing. The food is perfection. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is electric.
Quite possibly the one of the more overrated places in Toronto. You want real shawarma? Dont come here! Maybe the other things are good.
The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was top notch. It was our first time at this restaurant, but it wont be our last!
1) The food is good. Nothing exceptional though. 2) It is expensive. Quantity is decent. 3) The servers are always in a rush to take your order. We ordered a couple of beers and some sides. We had a couple of sips/bites and they came 2 times and asked us for our main course order. 4) They charged us for an extra beer at the end. (Could be a genuine mistake but I read a couple of other reviews about charges as well. 5) We were 3 of us and our order was as follows 3 beers, 1 Potato dish, 1 small platter and 1 Haloumi cheese sticks. Our bill ~$125 (excluding tip). There are much better places in downtown. Example - Laylak (high end), paramount (low end) Shocking is Fat Pasha is a Michelin Star recognized restaurant.
This restaurant was on our list of places to try for a very long time and today we finally did. Unfortunately, the food and cocktails were a disappointment and did not live up to the hype at all. The presentation is good but thats about it. We ordered the Caeser and Peach Bourbon Sour cocktails. Both were average. The Tahini smothee was good however. Chicken shawarma was completely bland and a small portion given the price. Tasted like it was marinated in just turmeric. Israeli breakfast was decent. Hummus was nothing special. The only thing we liked was the pastrami meat in the pastrami hash. The potatoes were very crispy, which is good, but also very very salty. Overall, not a great experience. Service is good. Ambiance is cramped. Lot of tables stuffed in a small space.
Amazing food and variety! Was able to get a walk in which is super rare here - definitely will be coming back. Love the shareable options and atmosphere is very welcoming and unique!
An amazing experience. Highly recommend sharing the large platter for sharing and the roasted cauliflower! Excellent and knowledgeable service as well. Make a reservation, its a small space and probably fills up quickly. Its worth it! Food
A small space, family style restaurant that is buzzing with life and conversation. Our server was extremely friendly and patient. The food and drinks were very delicious. Note that it is more family style in that each mains usually just one item, requiring a few mains to get a full experience (meat, salad, potatoes, etc.). And the dip platter with falafel is out of this world!
Delicious food and drinks, great service, and lovely ambience - highly recommend
Very Small portions
My friend and I shared the Lil platter, was the right amount for us. The pita comes warm and soft it is very tasty. All the dips were great. The baba ganouj tasted different from what Ive had before, Id say it was on the sweater side. I personally like it smokier but it was still delicious. The also offered extra pitas when we had finished ours but had dips left
Cozy little place with some good middle eastern options on the menu. The humus plate is a good starter with crispy falafels.
Amazing place- worth the hype
One of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in the city. Beautiful food, great cozy atmosphere and friendly service. So many great food options, and all equally filling and delicious. The whole roasted cauliflower was a highly and plenty for two! Will definitely be going again. Vegetarian options: Great for veggies! Not restricted to meat main courses.
A place where the food is not only great but so is the person who attends to you. We ordered pickup and despite being a busy day, Jenn who radiated positivity and grace. she took the time to understand my request and recommend the order which was just the right quantity! The food was good, but Jenn was excellent! We ordered a large platter and chicken shawarma and it was great.
Good portions great service and vibe
The food is awesome, staff is kind, atmosphere great, try it out!
Food was excellent!
The food is amazing, great atmosphere, friendly staff. 5 stars!!!
Great food, good vibes. Felt too heavy and thirsty after the food though, order less. Also expensive. Definitely try the dip platter
One of the greatest brunch places we tried in Toronto. The space is limited but the food is fantastic. Great portions of food and it tasted amazing. Service was great and everything lived up to expectations!
The food here is top notch, very much lives up to and is deserving of the hype! The staff were friendly and accommodating. Ill have to go back and try out all those cocktails and the rest of the menu. It was a bit busy, I lucked out and got a spot at the bar but calling ahead to make a reservation is probably a good idea
Fat Pasha is not just a restaurant; its an experience woven from the finest threads of hospitality and culinary artistry. From the moment you step through its doors, youre transported to a realm where flavors dance and every bite tells a story. Ive had the pleasure of dining at Fat Pasha multiple times, and each visit leaves me enchanted. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a rustic charm that sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. Whether youre seated at a cozy table or at the bustling bar, the atmosphere exudes a sense of belonging. Now, lets talk about the food. Every dish is a masterpiece, a fusion of tradition and innovation that celebrates the richness of Middle Eastern cuisine. The hummus is velvety smooth, the falafel crisp and flavorful, and the shawarma... oh, the shawarma! Succulent and fragrant, its a symphony of spices that leaves your taste buds begging for an encore. But perhaps what sets Fat Pasha apart is the impeccable service. Anthony Rose and his team go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels like family. Whether youre a regular or a first-time visitor, youre treated with warmth and genuine hospitality thats increasingly rare in todays dining scene. In summary, Fat Pasha is more than just a restaurant; its a haven for food lovers, a sanctuary where passion and creativity converge to create magic on every plate. If you havent experienced it yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. Your taste buds will thank you.
Incredible brunch, they accept reservations which is a nice touch. Service is amazing and food is so good. They accommodated our group of 9 including two young children very very nice and very very good
Best Israeli/middle eastern in Toronto Food was all incredible. Every dish was a highlight. We left full and felt like we paid a very decent price for the amount we ate. Cocktails were great too (get the mimosa!!). Staff were amazing, fun, and attentive to our large group. They also assisted us with dietaries (GF/dairy free). Great atmosphere as well. Can t recommend this restaurant more if I tried.
Nice environment
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Fat Pasha! I went with a group of three on a Saturday night, we split the Fat Salatim Platter (Baba Ganoush, Classic Hummas, Garlic Labneh and Tahini Mezze), Whole Roasted Califlower, and chicken shawarma dishes. We paired the platter with the chicken shawarma and pitas. The pitas were freshly made, the Platter was full of flavour and the chicken was very tender. I also really liked how cozy the place felt - walking by you might assume it was a store front. Insta - @ouebereats for more reviews!
Indulged in an exquisite culinary experience! Our brunch escapade featured the delectable pastrami hash & egg, along with another tantalizing dish perfectly portioned for two. Complemented the feast with a refreshing IPA and a sophisticated Bourbon Sour. Our server proved exceptional, displaying attentive care towards our allergy concerns. However, a minor note the beer leaned towards the flat side, and the drinks, though flavourful, were a tad smaller than anticipated for the price. Nonetheless, this venue is a resounding recommendation for a romantic date night or an intimate gathering, even though the seating arrangement is snug. The overall culinary delight and top-notch service make it a memorable spot.
Food is good, but it s not value for money. I think they can also use a bit more brightness in the restaurant.
Absolutely fantastic brunch experience here! Delicious flavours, great service (bottomless coffee was always +90% full!), huge portions and well priced. Will come back for sure.
I wish that I could give 6 stars. Fat Pasha is a 10/10 recommendation. Not only is the food great, but the service is amazing. We ordered two cocktails to start and they were so fresh and tasty. For food we started with the pita and dip trio (comes with falafel which was SO crispy and delicious). For dip we chose baba ganoush, hummous and chirshi. Chirshi was recommended by the server and it was our favourite! A must try. We then had the potato latkes with garlic labneh which were so crispy and yet fresh. Dare i say another must try. Finally we split the pastrami which comes with delicious bread and the best pickles I have ever had. My biggest regret of the evening is taking a shaky picture of the pastrami platter that sat in front of us (attached anyways sorry). Another must try! We had high expectations and these were so pleasantly exceeded. Thank you so much for the delicious meal! Will be back again!!
Had the most amazing dinner here last night! First time diners: Me and my mum shared the brisket and fatuoush salad. So much flavour and care put into these dishes. Came back after our event for their banana pudding 10/10. Already looking forward to our next visit.
The pastrami was amazing best I ever had. The $35 chicken shawarma was not good at all. You can get a better shwarma for $15 at a regular place. The food is generally expensive. I hope the rest of the food is like the pastrami.
The experience was incredible with truly amazing food and top notch service! One of the best meals in Toronto and one I won t forget!!
A friend recommended we meet for brunch here. The exterior of the building doesn t look like much but the interior is a quaint diner in the middle of one of my favorite neighborhoods (the annex). The staff were friendly and accommodating, the place was nearly full with space for two at the bar. My friend ordered the breakfast brisket on hummus, the hummus was flavourful and fluffy, melting in your mouth, I couldn t help but have a taste. I ordered the Roast Cauliflower and eggs. All the food was fresh and well cooked. The flavours of tahin, pine nuts and pomegranate all melded together beautifully. I ll definitely give this restaurant another go, sooner rather than later. Vegetarian options: I had the roasted cauliflower and eggs for brunch and the meal was delicious, hearty and looked beautiful on the plate.
In the photo: Fattoush Salad $25 Total Price per person: $16.24 (after tax and tip) Fattoush Salad: The salad was extremely good. Some prominent ingredients were toasted hazelnut, pomegranate, pickled onions, feta, olives, romaine lettuce, crispy chickpeas, pita chips and a tahini vinegarette (And toasted carots, I believe) There was also a spice blend sprinkled on top that gave the salad extra flavour. I especially enjoyed the taste of the hazelnut, feta and pickled onion to the whole salad. The different textures really helped to make the salad interesting. The portion was able to feed 2 people with a bit remaining in the bowl. 8.5/10 **for the price though, I feel bad that I paid that much for a salad, so I recommend going in a group of 3+ to order additional things and split the cost evenly When walking in, we were asked if we made a reservation. Although we didnt, we still managed to get seated at the bar. I recommend to make a reservation if youre planning to sit at one of their tables. The place feels cozy and is dimly lit. The staff that helped us was very kind and patient. The food was brought out at a reasonable time. Before serving, the staff explained what was inside and mixed the salad for us. Vegetarian options: The salad we had was vegetarian friendly :))
I felt so relaxed in this cozy place that has a great vibe. Dinner was delicious and portions were perfect. I found parking on the street just outside.
I haven t had food this good in ages!
First time visiting. Lovely atmosphere. The wait staff worked together helping all customers which was nice to see. I got the cauliflower steak which was to die for, minus the cheese. They also discounted the cost of my meal as I didnt have cheese. I absolutely recommend this place. Dietary restrictions: Easy to turn a dish into a vegan option
Everything was perfect.
The food here is amazing! The dip platter is great for large groups to try all the delicious dips. The chicken shawarma was very tender, the half cauliflower head and roasted potatoes were a family favourite!
went here for israeli/jewish food, but everything on the menu was lebanese and palestinian? Only thing jewish there was the kosher salt.
So delicious! Their warm pitas are a great start to such a delicious meal. Staff are pleasant and really add to the overall experience. Definitely going back!
Food was pricey for the quantity and service was close to zero. Not recommended.
Food was amazing!! We shared the 3 dips and short ribs between 2 people and had the IPA & Bourbon Sour. Our server was fantastic and was very attentive to our allergy needs! Only note was that the beer was on the flat side and the ribs were a smaller portion than we had anticipated for the price! Would 100% recommend this spot for a date night or smaller group gathering as it is on the tighter side for seating.
My only critique is that its quite pricy for what you get.
Not enough eunuchs or concubines. Worst Pasha ever.
Wmmy family and I had a wonderful lunch at Fat Pashas. Service was super friendly, and the shared platters were delicious. It was a bit pricey, but we didnt mind it. Couldnt finish our portions and took it home with us not a drop of hummus went to waste :)
One of the best dips Ive ever had! Chirshi is so good! Smoked white fish salad was much much better than it sounded to me. Latka was divine. The service was incredible. I felt so welcomed and cared for. I tried the peach cocktail and it was also fantastic. I look forward to coming back!
Ordered the cauliflower and the fried potatoes. I now need to check my calendar for how soon I can come back
Michelin star recognized or Michelin tire? Food was pretty much just chewy as one the place was empty @6:00PM, That doesn t affect the atmosphere, but the menus looked very cheap, very simple, but also kind of dirty. When we first took a look at our waitress, her style did not fit the atmosphere, especially for the price point of the restaurant. Her language was unpleasant, and at multiple times she was dropping f-bombs at us just because we were a group of guys that made me very uncomfortable. If I m paying $100/person at a classy restaurant, I don t want dive bar vibes. We ordered drinks, they were fine, the pomegranate Negroni was not fantastic but the rest of the drinks were good. I had the date old-fashioned, and the peach whiskey sours were good. Both very good! We got one of the platters there s a lot of dips. A lot of the dips seem like they needed salt or something very minimal taste, but there was a few of them that I liked. One of the guys thought he had Covid, because he simply could not taste anything other than the pita and the falafel, which seem to be overcooked. They gave us a bunch of pita but wish I knew it wasn t free. Which is totally fine obviously nothings free, just kinda wish she told me that. The entrées came. We got the brisket and the turkey schnitzel, which was recommended by the server. The brisket was fine just super small very rough. Very saucy with tons of onions on top, more onion than meat lol. The turkey schnitzel was good can t complain, the slaw on top wasn t that great. But the schnitzel was fresh. My bill for 4 people was $350 not impressed for the price, maybe I ordered the wrong stuff? I just didn t have a great time. I don t see the hype. Dietary restrictions: We re very conscientious of my friends Peanut Allergy
The food was amazing and the staff were hospitable and friendly. Very nice to hang out with friends and share food. Vegetarian options: A lot of options and theyre all delicious Dietary restrictions: They ask right away about your restrictions and let you know if theres any conflict
Dined at Fat Pasha last night because of the solid reviews and to try a new restaurant (new to us). Our server was nice. Someone from the kitchen ran our food and they were quite warm and attentive. The atmosphere is quaint. The temps are freezing at the moment and they have found a way to stop patrons from feeling a draft every time the door opens by way of heavy curtain. The food was not great, unfortunately. We ordered the smaller dip platter with hummus, babaganoush, and a red pepper/feta/nut dip, it comes with falafel and tahini, as well as a few olives and pickled vegetables. It also came with two small rounds of a thicker pita (4 would be better due to the size). There were a few issues here, mainly, each dip was swimming in so much oil it became nearly impossible to enjoy texturally or to discern flavour. Oil should be a garnish, drizzled on top, but each of our dips were doused in the stuff. It made everything feel so heavy and we didnt finish the dips at all. We have never not finished a dip charcuterie at a middle eastern resto before. Usually, dip platters are soooo good! Disappointing for sure. I would recommend lighter use of oil, obviously, and a small bowl filled with giveaway (cheap ways to add value) items like pickled veggies. We barely had any which made the dish feel stingy for the price. The falafel was nice, although the outside texture was a bit spikey. For our main, we shared a brisket which took up one side of the plate. The other side was filled with onion straws. They added a horseradish sauce that was the most flavourful item of the dinner. Delicious. The brisket was tender, too fatty for my taste. I wish they asked what cut we would prefer beforehand. Our meat was slathered in sauce, however, and so the flavor of the meat was lost in it. Here, I would cut the mountain of onion straws to a quarter of the current serving, and sub with potatoes or rice. Something to help soak up the amount of sauce. Maybe offer more complimentary bread. Again, cheap to produce, so why not bring a basket of pita to the table? I think this place has great potential but right now the only thing that feels generous about the experience is the liberal use of oil.
Weird?! My friend and I attempted to come for Sunday brunch but we were turned away and told because the kitchen is slow and they are understaffed, meanwhile the restaurant was empty Service : 1/5
best hummus in the city, the pitas are amazing
Great food and patio. Tried the pre set menu with a large group and worth the price!
Interesting menu to share with friends and family. Very nice setup and great staff. Will go back again. Fat platter quantity was perfect for 4 of us. We were full yet not feeling heavy.
Food was tasty, prices were ridiculous. I think they forgot what they were serving! $40 for a cauliflower with some spices.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Will be back the next time we go to the Tarragon. Food
Yummy, quaint and great backyard patio.
Wonderful experience. Get the Miami ribs and all the dips were delicious.
The food exceeded expectations, and they were high!
Everything was delicious! The staff was very knowledgeable about what everything was made of and answered all our questions. Great food, great staff would come back!
Excellently food! Hadn t been here in a while but I will definitely be back soon!
Wanting to try this place for a while so we decided to order some takeout. Got classic hummus starter, Chicken Shawarma plate, and Chicken Paprikash plate. The Chicken Shawarma was definitely the highlight, great taste. The Paprikash was not really a Paprikash; was more of a half chicken with some dill on it and a mediocre Paprikash-like sauce on the side and no perceived sour cream. Paprikash should be combined with meat and a thicker sauce. That was also a bit dry. Hummus was good. Pita and Challah was kept separate for my gluten restriction, but my partner said it was good. Biggest problem is price to quantity ratio. Two mains and a starter for $110 after tax (no tip) for the amount of food we got was insane. We were expecting more trimmings and meat according to the pictures on the website. The food was good enough to return, but probably the worst value I ve experienced in a long time. Service was ok. Had to call 4 times to get a hold of someone because website was not accepting orders. The atmosphere is nice, but we did not dine-in. Probably will not be returning, although I would if the cost was 25%+ lower. Dietary restrictions: Was very accommodating for my gluten restriction (celiac).
Excellent tasty food. Fun atmosphere with staff occasionally singing loudly to classic rock hits. Main floor bathrooms! Tables are a tight squeeze and I got bumped by servers several times unfortunately without any apologies. We asked for clean plates for main course. Different server cheerfully packed up our leftovers. Definitely will return. We had both visited sporadically over past several years. Happy to say its better than ever!
As I sit here stuffed happy and fat, I just wish the dessert bread pudding was more balanced. The smokiness/burnt flavors and tahini take over the dish. The dips were good, but have to recommend the muhammara the most and the garlic labneh. Pita was fresh fluffy and filling. Falafel was moist and flavorful. Brisket was so good and tender, very nostalgic flavorings there.
Very overhyped & expensive for what it is. The cauliflower was delicious & did not disappoint, but everything else was mediocre or subpar. We also ordered the Fat Salatim (4 dips with olives, falafel and pita), the grilled chicken paprikash and the challah bread pudding. Most of the dips were not tasty (except for the Muhammara which was very good), and some were very runny, and there was not nearly enough pita or cucumber for the dips. The chicken was also just 4 small pieces of roast chicken and with only bread and a pickle on the side, was nothing special. The bread pudding was ATROCIOUS. It was dry, and not sweet enough to balance the tahini poured all over it. Really bad.
The food is quite average here. Nothing was particularly bad but also not great. The platter with all the dips was the best thing we ate. I was a bit disappointed in the ribs as they just were basic barbecue ribs. The food here lacks spices and are underwhelming when it comes to flavour. I won t be coming back put it was nice to try at least.
This is where you need to go if you want to please everyone. Phenomenally delicious food. All dietary restrictions accommodated for. Top notch cocktails. A can t miss spot.
Had brunch here and really enjoyed the Shakshuka and the Cauliflower & Eggs. Good portion size and great taste. Definitely recommend!
Really short of words. Incredible.
WOW is all I can say. The food and service was incredible. The brisket, the hummus platter, the cauliflower, the drinks, everything was delicious. The staff are super helpful and kind and funny. Definitely a place to go to with four or more people as the portions are great to share. And inexpensive!
Way overpriced for the quality of food youre getting. Im talking $100+ for half a small chicken and some bread. Even if it were reasonably priced, its still extremely mediocre. Nothing bad but absolutely nothing special enough to deserve the price tag. The restaurant is also extremely small with a very crammed set up. People walking by bumped into me every other minute.
The food is to die for!!
My partner and I went here right before a play. We choose it randomly. We were very very happy with the food we god the chicken shawarma sharing plate with the garlic dip (forget the dish now) was out of this world. We are excited to be going back already. Thank you so much for fitting us in.
Food was just okay, my ribs were burned and over glazed. The $40 cauliflower wasnt worth the price point. Staff had a weird vibe, like they are judgy but theyre dressed like they were running to the corner store and they didnt know anything about the menu.
We have been hearing so much about FP . We went for lunch and we were able to find a seat. The very nice attendant gave us a tip *to call when Open table says they are fully booked*, Sundays are not so busy **since it was our first time we werent sure how to approach the menu. There are 2 menus am/pm. We got a French press jug of cardamom coffee that was worth the trip alone! We decided on the smaller sampler of dips for a starter ( to share). It was more filling then anticipated and we were stuffed. It was very delish. We definitely want to go back and try shakshuka, it looked delish. The fully loaded bagel also looked yum. Most everything is good for sharing. The staff are great at explaining how big the portions are. Friendly wonderful staff. I liked the flow of the restaurant. Highly recommend. Make a reservation!! Apparently we lucked out finding a table. Patio seating in summer.
We made a reservation a week an a half in advance. The day of the reservation we got a text message saying they were overbooked and suggested we go to their sister restaurant Fet Zun and they would offer free drinks. The only reason why we agreed was because it was unlikely we would be able to get a reservation elsewhere with just a few hours notice and during the Christmas holiday season. I find it rude that a restaurant would bump customers that made reservations more than a week in advance. They gave no reason why, although we suspect it was to accommodate a last minute large party. Although the service at Fet Zun was very hospitable, the atmosphere was extremely noisy to the point that my date and I could not have a decent conversation. The change in venue completely ruined our night. The food at Fet Zun was alright, albeit overpriced. The only item worth mentioning was the falafel, which was the best Ive ever had.
Had an amazing brunch! Delicious food, generous portions - cant wait to go back :)
