Limon in Toronto

Discovered this place with my friends and their 11 year old daughter, by accident and wow, were we all completely blown away! The food here is of a gorgeous quality, delicious, bursting with flavour and over abundant portions - you will have food to bring home with you. The service was perfect and super friendly. I really wish they had a second location that was more central... cause I would go there all the time and bring all my friends/family. Cant wait to visit again!

I would stay away from is the eggplant in ketchup. Yeah I dont know why I thought wed like it, but what a big mistake! They forgot a dish which was frustrating. Their takeout containers arent the strongest so make sure its not going to make a mess when you pack it up.

Went with another couple expecting a run-of-the-mill felafel spot. Not even close! Unexpected delight+++. Greeted with warm welcome, cozy decor, knowledgable waitstaff, absolutely superb food and outsized servings, very reasonable prices. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Vegetarian options: Lots Parking: Would return in a heartbeat.

Easily one of my favourite restaurants in the City. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Its hard to find good Middle Eastern these days and they knock it out of the park. If you love dessert, do yourself a favour and try the cheesecake.

This is the best spot in Toronto, hands down. Fresh meat, veggies, and they cook it just perfectly. Hummus is super tasty, and babaganoush is cherry on top. They also have beer menus that changes & provide a fascinating experience for you! Hiiiighly recommended!

Excellent food at our first visit. We are vegetarian and everything was delicious. And the portion sizes are great. I think almost every item was worth ordering again. 3 for $21 (hummus, babbaganoush, fried eggplant), falafel, fried cauliflower. We had the pistachio mascarpone dessert it s very interesting and nice, but too strong for my taste. I would try the cheesecake next. The servers were friendly. The food came out insanely fast. Patio was nice. Bravo guys.

Went to the beaches (from Thornhill) and came to Limon for dinner. It was a great experience. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. The owner Jonathan is a class act. If you love Middle Eastern food Limon is a must. It just moved Meron into second place. I will be back.

Good prices, mediocre food.

This place offers large amount of food portion wise but food isn t that great!!! Spent almost 50$$$ on drink and dinner on the lamp chop it was super dry and tasteless same with the side dish salad !!!

Aug 26 18:30 2024. Server extremely rude and was annoyed that we only ordered the 5 dips for 30.00 and 2 glasses of wine. He told us it was for 4 or 5 people and it was to much food, though we were happy to enjoy it and have extra as we know how good the dip options is. (We were also hungry from a lovely day on the beach and happy to have extra. ) He moved us from a two person table on the patio to a four person table after we ordered, complaining that there was to many plates and as a result now have to take up more space. He ignored us the entire time. At the end, sending another server to settle our bill. We love the food here, it s amazing. The service, not so much. We are neighbourhood locals, but next time we will probably choose another establishment.

It s always a pleasure to go back to limon with its family run vibe. The food is fresh, great ingredients with flavourful dishes. We typically always get 3 dips (labneh, hummus and something with eggplant) and a veg (falafel on a bed of tahini and sumac) and non veg main (lamb kabob/steak). The portions are large so this would satiate 4 people easily. The turn around time is quick and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend!

Delicious

The food was incredible. We got steak, beef kebab, chocolate raspberry tart and tiramisu and all of them were beyond amazing. We did not felt bloated at all- this to me indicates that they really use good ingredients. The servers and the atmosphere were great too. Whatever you re paying it absolutely worths it!

Love everything about this place. Food is awesome. A slightly bigger menu wouldve got that 5th star but, really, theres no bad dishes here - all good. My favorite would be the schnitzel. Caution, the portions are big, be prepared to bring some home. UPDATE: If they ever have their mushroom hummus on the menu, do yourself a favor and order it. THIS is how hummus should be! Amazing!

The falafel wrap is to die for!

Food is always made fresh with generous portions, staff is helpful and service is great. Lively atmosphere with the music and outdoor seating. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of accommodations for those who have allergies, are dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, etc.

AMAZING! The food was absolutely incredible and the service was wonderful. My family especially enjoyed the babaganoush and the massive strip steak sandwich. Thankfully, we were able to sit on the patio and got our food very quickly. Really good experience at Limon and would definitely come back!

Great food. So fresh and the portions are huge. We ve only Uber eats this place so I can imagine it s even better at the restaurant.

This place is LEGIT. The pitas were very reasonably priced and packed with flavour.

Just checked and according to UberEats, Ive ordered from them 40 times (so far). Not surprising at all, since the food is absolutely amazing and the portions are more than legit (always). Their chicken is crazy good, just as all other meats really. The Burger, the Steak Sandwich, Schnitzel (Sandwich), Chicken Kabob and Lamb Kefta Wrap, Falafel...couldnt tell you my favorite. Sides such as (Home) Fries, Spiced Carrots, Coleslaw and Eggplant & Pepper are also fire. Would give more than 5 Stars, if possible. *Have had Dinner at the Restaurant a couple of times as well and the service is as good as the food that youll eat here.

I visited this restaurant last week when the jazz festival was happening. Despite the large crowd, the servers were friendly and the food came out at a good pace. My favorites were the babaganoush, beet salad, and lamb kebabs.

Really good middle eastern food. The hummus was especially tasty and a bit spicy. Crowded at dinner time so we had to wait a bit (something like 10 minutes) Food : 5/5

Love this spot! Its our go-to place for summer days. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I want to give a shout out to a young gentleman who assisted us with our food. When we left, I saw him waving at us because my husband had left his wallet on the table. His honesty and excellent service were truly amazing, and I hope the management appreciates him. 6:00 oclock Wednesday not too busy. I Ask for table for three, they gave us table for 2 since my grandchild did not count as a person. We set down and unpleasant server comes and push us to take the order without giving us time to have a look at the menu. Once you are ready to order he was not paying attention to come and get the order. I asked for a beer and we ordered the food. My wifes food comes in 5 min and she start eating, 15 minutes later we are still waiting for the beer and my order. I asked to cancel my beer order after 20 min wait. Falafel and beet salad where ok nothing special. My order of schnitzel arrived half an hour later, it was dry no sauce or anything comes with it and there is so much breading, almost 3/16 of breathing all around and flavorless. I asked for some hot sauce, hot sauce hot no flavor just heat and they charge $2 for two spoon of homemade hot sauce. I do not recommend this place at all stay away from it.

Alex is the best one for his hospitality. Everyone can try one of the best dishes, and I like the chicken shish kebab, and I tried the best red wine here. Please, you can ask Alex for the bottle of wine

One of the only places in the city where the food continues to impress me with the quality and freshness. When I m craving south med/ middle eastern food this is the first place I would recommend. The lamb kabobs are legit sooo good.

I have to say, I havent eaten such a delicious schnitzel baguette in a long time!! As soon as I entered, everyone offered me help with what was most popular and were just there for me. Highly recommend quality and tasty food

One of my favourite places in the city. The food is always incredibly delicious. We keep coming back.

We are regular for their falafel and chicken pita sandwiches when we visit the beaches. We have also enjoyed their fried eggplant, babaghanoush , beet salad, cauliflower, lamb chops, steak sandwich,.... The only downside is that it gets quite noisy.

Best meal in Toronto

We came here as a big group of over 10 people and the restaurant was very quick in getting our tables together. Service was nice. I got the steak sandwich which is huge, steak grilled to perfection and went so well with pesto sauce, fresh pickled tomato I believed, and caramelized onion. It was such a good choice that our table mostly got the sandwich. Big portion so I saved half as my lunch the next day. Will definitely come back to try other things from here. Lovely atmosphere. Parking: Paid street parking or you can park in the neighborhood

Lively atmosphere with an outdoor patio. The food was good but what we had wasnt out of this world fantastic. The chicken pita sandwich was overstuffed and messy to eat with way too large chicken chunks. It could have been cut up into more bitsize pieces. I would return but maybe order something else.

This is honestly the best Israeli food I have had in Toronto. I could easily be eating back in Tel Aviv. I have only ordered via UberEats, but they pack everything so well that it transports just fine. So delicious, we ordered two days in a row from here!!!!!

The best hummus in the city, hands down. And the cauliflower and labneh-quite possibly the most delicious dish in the city. And don t forget to order the fries!!

Just ordered on Uber eats. You can taste the fresh ingredients which I really appreciate bc it s so hard to find good restaurants that prepare things freshly with such high quality ingredients. Perfect seasoning on the meats and the salad was so fresh and delicious. We were craving a beet salad and they delivered. The eggplant salad also unique and yummy. Lamb kebab was perfectly cooked. Loved it all. Will definitely purchase again!!!

We got the lamb kefta and felafel and we really loved the food. The lamb kefta was so tasty and juicy we re gonna come back for it again, its a must try food on their menu. (We got greek salad and home fries on the side) Professional and friendly staff! If its not too hot get a table outside because inside can get a bit noisy.

Loved this place! We ordered falafel in pita sandwich, lamb kefta, LIMON salad and cheese cake. Everything was so delicious! The table next to us also was giving complements to yummy dishes they ordered. We also like their patio seating just in the middle of beaches vibe. Service was excellent too. Will come back soon

The place was too busy the day we went in, so we just ordered a takeout: hummus and falafel sandwich. Hand down the best falafel I have ever had: very moist in the centre, and the vege was crisp with the right balance. The hummus was delicious. I didnt give it 5 stars because the bread was a bit sub-optimal, too dry.

Middle Eastern, but not Halal It came to utter shock that this middle eastern restaurant doesn t serve halal meat. Probably my first experience of encountering a middle eastern restaurant in Toronto not being halal.

Ill start with a disclosure, followed by a revelation: Im an Israeli Hummus fanatic and take my Hummus with a religious zeal, if you know this type of guys. We relocated from Tel Aviv to the beautiful Toronto Beach community about a year ago, and its my first visit to Limon, which is a long-time high on my must-visit list. Ill put it simply: the best Hummus and Falafel dish in the Middle East is located in The Beaches, Toronto. Well done guys! I look forward to visiting you again, soon

Food is great but service is terrible. Called in a pick up order and was told 25min. Came at just after 25min and was told 5min. 20 min later and still not ready if it s gonna be long just tell me 40 min on the call. Frustrating to stand like a mug at the front of a busy restaurant.

Amazing place

One of the more delicious meals Ive had in a long time. Wow! Service was excellent and I was impressed at how involved the owner is. I had avoided this restaurant for a while due to my allergies to sesame but I finally called to inquire to see if it was able to be accommodated. The owner answered and ensured we could work around it. When I got there he even came to talk to me at our table. I had the babaganoush with gf pita and the grilled chicken with rice and Greek salad. It was all absolutely delicious. Servings were huge, enough for 2 meals as a 53, 160lb (and hungry) active female. I cant wait to come back! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, sesame

Yummmmyyy! Super hot day today they had a watermelon n feta salad special, was perfect. The star for me was their falafel pita uff the falafel remained crispy with all the delightful veg and sauces my goodness. Nice and soft pita that didn t leak no matter how long I took to eat it. The americano was perfect as well, not bitter. Love Limon for their beet salad, whole menu is divine.

This place serves large portions. My girlfriend and I shared a large plate of Lamb Kefta kabob and rice. The meat was succulent, juicy and flavourful. We werent able to finish our shared meal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Probably the best dining experience Ive experienced in the Beaches. Look forward to returning.

Limon is always consistent, as order takeout on Uber at least once a week. Dining in is also very nice, servers are not overly pushy and they maintain a good speed, friendliness and professionalism. The schnitzel is our go to for our child and we love the whole fish and dips. The Limon salad is also very delicious.

The restaurant is as lively as its flavours. Must get Babaganoush, egg plant, fried cauliflower, lamb, and their cheesecake.

Pretty standard grilled meats and fishes...however the fried onion little side dish was quite nice. Kebabs were ok.

Went on weekend to try it and I absolutely loved it. Best shish touk in Toronto by miles but the service was a little disappointing. We were served by old white guy and we asked him for recommendations to which he replied, whatever you wanna eat. I mean, he couldn t even recommend and looked slightly annoyed. It s a service based industry and you gotta up your game. The other servers were really nice though. I d definitely recommend this place but make sure you don t get served by this guy (I think he serves on the left side of the restaurant) but go for the food and you won t be disappointed. This restaurant offers delicious Middle Eastern cuisine in very large portions! We had heard great things about this place on Queen St., and finally got to try it for ourselves. We ordered take out and got their 8 piece falafel, packaged pita, beef burger and home-cooked potatoes, and a shawarma baguette. We also got an order of their lentil soup. Everything was piping hot and scrumptious! The beef burger was delicious, tender, and cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested. The lentil soup was hearty and the baguette was stuffed full of fresh ingredients! The home-cooked potatoes were a lovely side dish, and the falafel were an overall favourite. We were surprised by their portions (since this was first time ordering from here), and I was happy to say I had plenty of leftovers to use for lunch at work the following day! I definitely recommend this place for delightful Middle Eastern food. We hope to come back soon to eat in their beautiful restaurant or in their patio-street seating in the summer! Vegetarian options: They have lots of vegetarian options on their menu! Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate vegetarian and some vegan diets.

The falafels are fresh the pitas are really big and delicious, it was very tasty and I would come back and order again.

Limon is excellent. We visited twice and had some of the best food Ive ever had. The meat is tender and impeccably done. Salad was just perfect. Portions are generous. Service was great. Had to ask for a fee things and got them right away. If you like good food, this is my go to place in The Beach! Atmosphere could use a bit of TLC. The tables are bare. A candles or a little plant would help. The young lady at front of the house does not smile, not welcoming. Staff at the back had a table spread out w a laptop and paperwork. LEDs could use softening. Still a newr 5 Star in and best value for your money! Highly recommend.

Everything on the menu looked so good, it was hard to decide! But after seeing a couple of reviews of the lamb kefta kabobs with israeli salad, i decided to try that! The salad was super refreshing and flavourful, the lamb kefta kabobs were a bit on the dry side but still really good

There s a big line for a reason. The food is really good. The serving staff moves really fast in here. We walked by and took a chance. Next time we will plan our visit. Everything we had was good. The lentil salad was the only disappointment.

I had a fantastic experience at Lemon restaurant in Toronto. We indulged in a variety of delectable starters, sides, and main courses, and I must say, everything exceeded our expectations. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The wait staff were attentive and the food was good. Not exceptional. Very good. A table of 3, 2 ordered two orders of lamb chops, the lentils, 3 Greek salads, and basmati rice. Everything was on small plates. Cutting three decent chops on an appetizer plate was a feat. No mention of cilantro in the salads on dishes... my friend cant eat cilantro. Ive never seen Greek salad with cilantro. A twist!? They were very accommodating....but not a come back for middle Eastern. Us ladies know our food (and middle Eastern!)...its Good Enough for The Beaches. Good luck!

I finally visited Limon this summer after hearing so much about the quality of the food. Now we go frequently. So far weve tried the rainbow trout, lamb pita, chicken pita (so good) and several of the appetizers. We love the food, loved the atmosphere, especially eating outdoors in the summer and seeing so many people you know walk by. Service was good, wait staff pleasant and attentive. One of the few places I will eat out at in the beaches.

Limon on queen is an outstanding family-run restaurant. The business has thrived over the past few years thanks to excellent food and service. It was founded by two brothers who started the whole business and dedicates their hearts and lives to improving the restaurant, managing and cooking. The menu was intricately designed to perfection and is inclusive to all, offering gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and a halal option for lamb chops. It s a perfect restaurant for family, and everyone I have brought always raves about the food. Absolutely no complaints!

very nice clean and supper tasty restaurant, with options for people with gluten allergies as well as having halal lamb chops and just supper delicious food and great atmosphere, very fast weight time for both dine in and take out, great place to come for brunch, dinner with friends any day of the week with no weight time to be served. amazing friendly staff, amazed by the 2 brothers ( Jonathan and Ben) for opening such a great place with Israeli foods great job Limon. We went to the LIMON restaurant because... There were no places at TIFLISI. Excellent service, very tasty food. My wife and I took falafel and kebab for two. She did not eat salty snacks, which caused the poisoning. After about an hour I wandered around the Beaches from toilet to toilet. Tough! Please advise not to eat pickles. Ill correct the rating if they apologize. In response to your answer: I have eaten pickles in other places with the same cuisine, for example in ME-VA-ME or in Suliko, but I never had such a reaction. Thank you for not ignoring my comment. But next time I ll still go to my neighbors in Tiflis, there is no such reaction to the marinade components. Raised the rating.

A great place for a family celebration, date or business lunch. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing, but without being too pretentious - everything is very modern. The food is wonderful, tasty and fully corresponds to the concept of home-style . Definitely try falafel, lamb kefta, and baklava! The service is excellent, it feels like you are visiting an old friend. Five out of five!

Food is always incredible, you can see and tell they make everything fresh and made to order. The staff are respectful and professional, it s worth every penny to come here or even order take out!
