Founded by Palestinian and Israeli friends, Yaffa brings people together through food. Enjoy flavours inspired by our grandparents' kitchens from the Middle East.
I recently visited Yaffa Shawarma, and I was thoroughly impressed! The experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly, making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. The food was flavorful and authentic, with the shawarma being perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, offering great value for the price. Overall, it's a place that truly knows how to combine amazing food with outstanding customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back! Prices are bit high Highly recommended for anyone craving quality shawarma.
Amazing chicken laffa wrap: chicken was fresh and juicy (not dry- at all!) and all of the ingredients (I got them all) were also fresh! Also, really nice interior- bright, cozy and clean! Not many shawarma places are as aesthetic as this one 🥰 service was fantastic! Will come back for sure!
My go-to restaurant for a quick middle east flavor lunch, haven’t been to any other restaurants of this kind after having visited this one. The quality pf the food here is very good overall, a large variety of vegetables and sides to choose from, a lot of them have never been seen at other restaurants, I like almost all of these sides. The meat is also good, higher quality than other places. The overall price at this place is definitely higher than other places, but considering the quality of food and the choices of sides and the flavor, i will still choose this place over the others.
The chicken shawarma was very good. Chicken was tender and juicy but somewhat lacking in flavour, but that was helped by the fresh-tasting vegetables and hummus. Fries are perfect.
Stopped by while I was at work for lunch, fresh ingredients. Very flavourful toppings. Best of all is all the sauces are made In house. For desert you must go with the freshly squeezed orange juice. Definitely a must have when you’re in the area.
Honestly one of the best bangs for your bucks around. The bowls are huge, and I mean they top you up with all the fixings. The food is fresh and very very authentic after having been to Middle East myself. The hummus is great and they’re always willing to go the extra mile, the first time I came they gave me a sample of their delicious fresh squeezed OJ. We’ve know been several times and will be back often. Great for a quick and fresh meal in the Y & E hood.
I recently visited this establishment with my friends. The atmosphere was quite charming and inviting. The service was exceptional, and the customer service was outstanding. The guy who assisted us was extremely accommodating and helpful. The shawarma was exceptionally delicious, with a generous serving of meat and fillings. I highly recommend this establishment to all enthusiasts of shawarma.
FINALLY some decent shawarma at Y&E! Ari and the team were hospitable and prompt. The pita was absolutely packed; sauces were great, fresh toppings. Will for sure be back.
So given the fact there s a tax break, it s really sad to see restaurants increase their price like this one has. The tax break wasn t meant for you to increase the price sir
High prices, tasteless chicken, soggy shawarma
I have never heard of Israeli food.. I only know Palestinian food. Everything on the menu is Palestinian .. do your research people!
I ordered the chicken shawarma laffa. It was done in 5 minutes. I had all my favourite toppings. Absolutely delicious.
Aswome service from Clark and food is really good. I recommend!
Yaffa is a top-notch spot for anyone craving delicious, flavorful shawarma. The meat is tender and perfectly seasoned, with the chicken shawarma being a standout. The garlic sauce and fresh toppings add the perfect touch to every bite. What really made the experience special was the service. Faysal, the server, was friendly, attentive, and made excellent recommendations. His warmth added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it great for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Generous portions and great value make Yaffa a must-visit. Highly recommend!
Taste was okay but why was this almost 30 dollars ? For the amount of food, you can spend your money elsewhere
Very tasty shawarma! Great service and good people. Definitely worth it.
Really liked to come and sit here for a quick get away from office during my lunch! Music and food is good
Garbage
Unbelievable delicious! The deluxe version of subway, if you are a fan. The food is sooo healthy! So much vegetable! And beans! Love it!
Place was vibrant, staff were welcoming, food was great. As someone who is blessed with middle eastern eats in Scarborough, this place definitely hits the spot! I m coming back when I m in the area.
Man this place is amazing! Had the chicken shawarma rice bowl and the work was so attentive and had such a great energy! A great addition to yonge and eglinton, with fresh ingredients and a vibe!
Clark gave great service!
Perfect place
Clark, the guy who served me, rocks. Never gotten better service at a late-night falafel spot. Or a late-night anything spot for that matter.
Very high quality.
Excellent food
Great chicken pita! Will recommend! Vegetarian options: Falafel available! Food : 5/5 |
amazinggggggg 10/10!!!!!! must try great customer service and amazing food
It was my first time at the restaurant and Clark was extremely attentive and friendly explain me all my questions. The music is amazing. As the food.
Food is great, freshly squeezed OJ on the spot, and crispy shawarma. Its hard to find shawarma places that offer Laffa, which is superior over any other type of bread with shawarma.
We had a late dinner and Faysals service was amazing and the food was good!! :)
Faysal s suggestion is so good, I got the amazing dish.
Very nice .faysal
Faysal was very helpful at serving us. Not only was he very polite, but also very good at knowing the manu
Really tasty fresh food. The service is always great, Clark was very pleasant. My new favourite shawarma spot. Would definitely recommend to anyone
Lentil soup was good to the last drop!
Very good shawarma in Eglinton .. They are maintaining the quality every single time.. Been here for multiple times and tje staffs are very friendly. Falafel also tasty
Great experience, big thanks to Faysal!
Loved the Falafel with that green hot sauce! Fayskn was awesome!
Food was yummy. Place was clean. Fayskn provided good service.
They absolutely ruined both our bowls! We had paid for extras and they didn t add it. We had asked for all the 5 sauces and they only added 2. Paid for extra meat and they didn t add any. And what s strange is all of this was through their website and yet it wasn t done correctly. They have ZERO knowledge on how to make bowls. I am never going here again and I encourage people to please not go too.. you ll not get a good experience is my promise to you. And I am sure the owners will reply to this review with an apology but clearly they do not care. Their staff is absolutely terrible.
Lovely experience and tasty food, faysal was awsome.
Sandesh was amazing and recommend great food.
Great service, great food. Clark and Nidhi were very hospitable and nice. Keep up the great work.
Yum ! The chicken falafel bowl was delicious with big fries on the side. Will come again. Food
Great service from clark great taste
Really enjoyed my dine-in experience! I had falafel in a pita, and it left me very full and satisfied. It was a pretty generous serving and very well priced, falafels and all the salads offered were all fresh and plentiful. The decor of the restaurant is also very nice and homey, the place was very clean, and the Israeli music in the background not too loud and very pleasant. Service behind the counter by Clark was very friendly, attentive and efficient. I will be back!
The service and taste is really awesome. Kudos to faisal Food
Tried it for the first time, it s taste different and amazing
Faysal served us the best pita sandwich and the toppings were so good!!!
Rice bowl with grilled chicken.
Tye new pita pop is great a must try thing
Definitely a great to new addition to the Toronto food scene, bringing a fresh new spin to how Shawarma s are done in town. Don t forget to get include the fried garlic eggplant mix in yours - props to Clark on site for being a fantastic host!
Loved how fresh all the vegetables and toppings were! Excellent food - and now I have a reliable option in the neighborhood when my buddies who only have halal food are in town. Many thanks to Clark and Ridhi for the excellent service!! - Super friendly and super helpful with the recommendations
First time we try the chicken shawarma. It tastes so good and Clark is so friendly. Nice experience highly recommend!!
Fresh food with amazing taste! Excellent service by Ridhi. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.
Amazing place, super nice and fast service. Loved it.
Service too good and we ordered falafall wrap it wass to good in taste
Falafel wrap is to good everyone can try it
This is one of my favourite lunch spots!! Clark is always so friendly and makes the best most filling sandwiches every time I go in!! Would definitely suggest eating here 10/10 staff and 10/10 food !!!! Vegetarian options: Has so many amazing options for vegetarians and vegans alike
Nice place awesome workers great food!
Not a fan. Got the chicken shawarma, the pita was served cold. Chicken taste was pretty decent. Toppings weren t mixed up properly and very light on the meat. Better places to go for a pita that costs $13.50 after taxes
Very very good
Very good food quick and out
Pretty good food
This place has really good Shwarma! I tried the Chicken Shwarma Laffa and it was delicious! Food
Sandesh was amazing, food was amazing. Very pleased!
Clark was amazing! great customer service!
Cara and SJ are the best! They accomodate us well, the food is fresh!
I come here pretty much religiously since I noticed they opened! All staff are so sweet kind and generous. This is one if not the only shawarma joint that actually provides toppings to the amount of ur liking. Today I was served by Clark. Not only did he ensure tht everything was intact but offered some add ons to the side . Amazing service.
Every time I ve had a meal at Yaffa so far, it s been nothing short of fantastic. Delicious food with fresh ingredients, with an absolute lovely staff. The fresh OJ especially is a must! Highly recommended
Great food and service.
Great food! Great service
Excellent food and service!
Ukesh and roren are really good at their work very friendly approach towards the customer
Yum
delicious food and great staff
Just terrible. Shawarma meat is mostly skin. The taste is unbearable. Also very expensive.
Atmosphere and Ambiance: The restaurant has a lively vibe with club music playing, which could be a draw for some, though it might feel out of place for those looking for a more relaxed dining experience. Additionally, it was quite chilly inside, which detracted from the comfort level. Portion and Value: For the price, the portions were disappointing, especially the beef. The serving was noticeably small, leaving the feeling that they could be more generous with their main ingredient. Considering the cost, the value here is not quite up to par. Overall Impression: While the atmosphere might appeal to a specific crowd, the combination of smaller portions, high price, and uncomfortable temperature left much to be desired. There s room for improvement in delivering a better dining experience overall.
Delicious bowl .. and thanks to Clark
Fresh, convenient, fast, and tasty. It was a great post workout meal and the freshly squeezed orange juice was a treat. Shootout to Clark for heating up our laffa and for loading up our bowls!
A+++. Highly recommend!! It was our first time visiting here since we moved to the area and the restaurant owner and staff were amazingly pleasant and accommodating. We purchased two of the chicken shawarma salads and they were some of the best in the city.
Great service from Clark!
I ve had many delicious meals at Yaffa. It s fresh, clean, and tasty!
Really like their falafel pita
Bad service and cheap food quality
Had an amazing food here! Most recommended, cheers to Amir for being an amazing host!
Really good quality food with good portion size. Really liked the service of Amir, he is really helpful and friendly
The fries we got was off coloured and it was obviously gone bad other ingredients tasted old as if they were left out, there was a hair in my chicken shawarma not recommended at all
Very expensive for a simple food also the size of pita bread is very small and almost half the bread was filled with salad and 4 falafel on top which is not possible to eat easily and it will not fit inside the bread. And the taste was not good and it was burned. Food
Ive been twice and really enjoyed it both times. Thought the falafel was great, and the staff are really nice. Ill definitely be back again.
Not sure why this place has such a low rating. Shawarma has a great texture and flavour. They have laffa as an option which is rare in Toronto. Same for filling options, quite authentic, and lots of options. Will try the falafel next time.
My go to shawarma/falafel spot in the area! It s delicious!
Great service and good !
Delicious food and friendly staff! Huge portions and tastes exactly the way it should. Can t wait to come back. Food : 5/5
Very pleased with food quality. The ingredients are clearly fresh, and there is great attention to quality overall. Chicken shawarmas and falafels are delicious, and everything has a homemade feeling to it. Thank you! Food
Best shawarma+Wonderful place and people.
The best shawarma in town
Good Falafel in yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood.
Very friendly and tasty pita+freshly squeezed orange juice! Cozy interior, so awesome!
One of best shawarma i tried in Toronto with tasty chicken and variety of veggies. I ordered pita, it was so delicious. I will be back soon to try their falafel. Ronen is so friendly and humble as well.
Yummy & fresh!
Loved the food, the service, and the portion. Will come back more often!
Took pita falafel, loved it and plan to come again. The customer service was amazing - a smiling face and friendly talk.
It was my 3rd visit and I always loved all the dishes here.
Had the chicken shawarma pita - delicious, lots of veggies and great toppings. Will definitely be back.
Amazing Chicken Shawarma bowl and their authentic OJ
Good food and laffah is very delicious. Staffs are friendly.
Nice falafal, crispy and great range of salads Nice place to sit and relax and have lunch Suggesting to come a bit early Line ups are a bit more Nice options of pita and bowl with fries and pop Vegetarian options: Falafal
Tasty and fresh
I was actually super surprised at how good the food was, came in with not the highest expectations but the falafel was super fresh and flavorful, as was the bread and toppings. Simple menu but it made sense, the freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing and the staff was super friendly, they played Bob Marley the entire time
Looks like I ve found my new go-to spot in Midtown! First of all, the music in store was Bob Marley. The falafel pita was made to perfection crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with fresh vegetables and just the right portion size. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. Highly recommend!
Great place, amazing food.
best middle eastern food in the city
The laffa and lentil soul are incredible! The laffa is the perfect size and bursting with flavour. The lentil soup has amazing texture. The music and staff are awesome, too. We will definitely be going back soon!
Ukesh and all staff was so polite and food was so fresh . Will visit again .
Top quality taste. The spicy eggplant topping is killer.
Average falafels and flavorless shawarmas. I really wanted to like this place so I tried it multiple times but the food is simply not authentic middle eastern especially since the falafels seem burnt. The Sabich was better than shawarma and falafel which is why I m going with three stars.
The food was too good and faisal was so humble and polite while taking and serving order.i would like everyone to try out their shawarma once in a life to get the real taste of shawarma.
Enjoyed Amazing shawarma with fresh orange juice. The staff Faysal was amazing, will be back again
Great service !
Lentil soup is clean fresh delicious. Must try only 4 dollars. Great fast service.
Fresh, Fresh, Fresh. The pita with eggplant is my fav with rich savoury filling. And don t forget the fresh squeeze orange juice. Remember not to rich but take your time to relish the goodness
I forgot to take a photo of my chicken shawarma in a pita. Really excellent flavours and quality. I will definitely come back to try the bowls.
Vegetarian options: I tried their Vegetarian Falafel, honestly i love it.. The atmosphere is very nice. Staff is so polite and they suggested me so well specially i like the way Sandesh described the ingredients and treated us well. Food
Great place for a quick shawarma bowl. The food was excellent and place was very clean. The server Faisan was super nice and filled my bowl up to the brim. Lots of veggies and sauces customized to your preference.
Delicious!
This is my 4th time here and food s always good. I have yet to try the chicken shawarma cuz it s always sold out ahah whenever I come but the kebab doesn t disappoint. The service at around 1:30am was just a bit slow in terms of just taking my order. Other than that, no complaints
Great food!
Had my first falafel at Yaffas at yonge and Eglinton and without a doubt one of the best falafel in Toronto recommend this place to everyone.
Very good service.
The Best food ever keep it up I am fully satisfied by the service and the food
First time to try, nice food, nice people
Always the most positive service and food always taste fresh to order. Would 100 percent recommend. Make sure to ask for Clark aka SUPER MAN
The best shawarma!! Ridhi was so nice and stuffed our shawarmas so full! Highly recommend
Tasty! And helpful service
Very scrumptious food and staff is very cooperative must visit YAFA SHAWARMA
should visit this restaurant near englinton subway station its the best and Shaib brother was awesome.
Terrible experience, found hair in my food. Also, the restaurant doesn t represent middle eastern cuisine correctly. Tried both shawarma & the falafel, tasted terrible. I dont know where they get these recipes from but please if you re going to open a middle eastern cuisine restaurant, MAKE SURE to offer good quality foods that represent the Arab culture. Will not be visiting again
The service is amazing!! The staff is super friendly and conversational! Sandesh definitely deserves a raise!! Food
Best falafal in uptown.
Great ambiance, food is tasty and very outstanding customer service. Was attended to by Ridhi.
Sooo much food! Yummmm
The food is both authentic and delicious. The friendly staff are extremely welcoming and the cute orange juice machine is fun to use. Clark, help me secure one
It s great and healthy food with so many fresh options for toppings and always plentiful. I pop in regularly. It s the best-tastiest bang for my buck on my way home from work. My only suggestion is to lower the music as I can t read or chat with anyone, but I like the choice of music.
Fantastic place for falafel and shawarma. The service is amazing. Clark was super friendly and helped us with our order quickly
Great taste, vibe and service. Clark was very nice and made me a supreme falafel wrap Vegetarian options: Falafel wrap and sauces
I had a great experience at Yaffa Shawarma & Falafel! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with a clean and relaxed vibe. A special shoutout to Ridhi, who made my visit even better with her friendly and attentive service. She was truly exceptional and ensured everything was perfect. Highly recommend this spot!
This is one of the best wraps around the Eglinton area, the spices are great and the meat is fresh! My wife and I always come around when possible
the food is amazing and the guy whoade my sharwama was super sweet
the chicken shawarma pita was bussin.
Incredible portions, toppings and flavour. The laffa is huge but every bite was amazing. The green shug hot sauce is powerful but I am now addicted to it. I was hesitant to try, but now see the only bad reviews are fake and coming from antisemites and the racist anti Israel mob, who probably never ate here. Which is ironic because I was told by the server the owners are actually a mix of Israeli and Palestinian friends, and have blended these cultures into amazing food. Of course the hateful anti Israel crowd hates to see peaceful enterprise serving incredible food. Peace, kindness and amazing food will always win! I ll keep supporting, for the cause, but mostly because the food is awesome!
This place is a steps above other shawarma places in the area. Great quality food. Delicious. Nice staff and space. The owner gave me a fresh pressed orange juice today and it was also delicious!!
Service from Sajeeb was amazing!!
Best Shawarma!! Ask Clark for the best option!
Really good
Honestly, the best food in the city. 10 out of 10, would do again. :)
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very relaxing, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! We ordered the grilled chicken pita and the chicken shawarma laffa and they were delicious! Neer, the employee who helped us, was really kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
Drove from Etobicoke last night to try this place. The sharwarma has a great flavour. Definitely is a fresher sharwarma, I got all the toppings. Priced a little on the higher side. Sharwarma and pop ran me about $15. Overall it s a decent place. I would stop by again if I was in the area. Food
Best new spot in the Yonge and eglinton area I love everything about it this place. So clean so nice.
Doesn t taste very authentic, many much better places that are also cheaper
Food is great, vibes are immaculate. Best takeout on the Yonge and Eglinton intersection.
My girlfriend picked me up a laffa as a hangover cure, and I have been resurrected. She was also super complimentary of the staff that was working there (Saturday Aug 25 @ 1pm) said they were super friendly and made her feel like a regular. First time visit, but Ill definitely be coming back
Been there last Friday I ve enjoyed tithe delicious food and incredible caring service of Tomer the worker, he was incredible and very funny, he made my meal and I really appreciated him!
Ordered chicken shawarma - average taste, while meat was barely warm and cost was relatively high.
The staff need some more training. After waiting a fair amount of time for our order they gave it to a customer who came after us by accident ( there was only us and the other customer in the store). Then when they remade the order, they forgot our added haloumi cheese. They also forgot to givenus our bottle ofnwater. No offer of compensation. Place needs to step it up if I were to try it again. As for the food solid 7. Veggies and dip were fresh, the actual chicken lacked flavor. Interior was nice and clean.
If you re looking for authentic shawarma I would not choose this restaurant. We live in a beautiful city make sure you explore cuisine thats made by the people who created the dish.
I dont know why people are mass reviewing it negatively but I am so happy for having this place at the neighborhood. their Laffa is massive. I usually share it with my husband. And the shawarma bread is not so big but its filling. Plus ingredients are fresh! The freshly squeezed orange juice is also nice and not a scam like other juice places on the region. The attendants are also nice and atmosphere it clean/energetic.
If you are looking for authentic Israeli food. This is not the place! And that s too bad! although the background music is nice. Here is the problem with this place: Small meat portions The Laffa bread is not freshly made on the spot. The pita is okesh They cut the shawarma in the kitchen and bring it on a small plate to serve, the meat is getting cold while you waiting for server to finish other customers and than when it s your turn, by than you will be getting a warm sandwich at best. The shawarma it self is very fatty. Nothing worst than pulling a fatting chicken from your mouth while eating your sandwich. Any way. I m disappointed as I was really eager to find another authentic shawarma spot.
Ingredients taste great. Kitchen seemed unorganized, some orders were left out for 5-10 minutes before being made, resulting in the meat being cold. Fries were not cooked with my order resulting in the cook rushing them and the fries coming out soggy. Wish they would grill the pita or laffa before serving so that the bread and fillings arent so cold.
i m palestinian and this did not taste authentic
Really enjoyed the chicken shawarma bowl! It was delicious with fresh ingredients. Liked the music and the friendly staff. Great value as well. Vegetarian options: Several options!
I really like this place :) Im in the neighbourhood so Ive been in a few times and have found it to be consistently satisfying and tasty.
The portions are noticeably smaller compared to other shawarma places. I was very disappointed with both the food quality and the cleanliness of the restaurant.
One of the best shawarmas I have ever had! The staff were professional and quite friendly and the atmosphere was nice too. I had the chicken shawarma and I would definitely recommend it! There are many topping options to choose from Food
Came here with a friend and we both had pitas. I had falafel and she had chicken shawarma. Both pitas were delicious. The prices are really affordable and you get a lot for the price. The service was really friendly as well. Will be back!
Incredible place to eat, food and service are incredible Dont forget to ask for amba sauce to add your shawarma Its our third time that we had lunch there. Special thanks to Nir an amazing guy there! See you next time!
I wanted to like this place because I love me a good falafel sandwich but I was heavily disappointed. If you want a good fresh falafel then just go to the Lawrence strip in Scarborough. This place either burns their falafels when frying them or refries them when they need to be served which leads to them getting over-fried. In any country in the Middle East they are always fried fresh and never dealt with like this. Also the bread was not fresh and the sandwich fell apart even though I had falafel and 2 other items in it. I ordered through Ritual so maybe they treat in person orders better than ritual ones?
The laffa came to $20 with tax and it looks like it s less portion that the pita which is $7 cheaper. Not worth it. I actually feel ripped off.
The good is amazing. I ordered the chicken shawarma laffa, and it was a 2 person quantity. I asked them to give me a fully loaded one, and the guy was so generous in his serving. Yummy yummy food, our go-to-place for shawarma and falafel in our neighborhood!
You can tell which reviews are genuine based on the names and review history of the people. This place serves very good and fresh middle eastern food, don t believe the lies being spread because people aren t happy about an Israeli owned business opening up in their area. Let the food speak for itself. The owners are honest and hardworking people. Disgusting that people are trying to destroy their livelihood and drag them down because of where they come from.
I had realllyyyy bad stomachaches after eating their chicken shawarma pita wrap
Unique and great tasting falafel. The wrap was delicious. Im vegetarian, and this is a great option for those.loolong for something quick and healthy. Will be back. Vegetarian options: Falafel is great.
Good food, good price, good service
Great value for money. Probably the best Israeli shawarma in the city. Fresh pitas and laffas, squeezed orange juice.
They could offer to pay me to eat here and even thats not enough of a discount. Rude staff, terrible chicken, bad quality bread, and overpriced. Go check out an actual Palestinian restaurant and buy 2 GOOD shawarmas for the price of a bad one here.
Extremely BAD , AVOID AT ALL COSTS . Just walk an extra 5 minutes to shawarma royal or pita lite and you will have twice as much food with half the price . Paid $24 for a smaaaalllll portion . The price just doesnt match the quality, or the portion size or the atmosphere . AVOID THIS PLACE , they are extremely greedy with prices compared to portions and the quality is sub par at best .
Shawarma does not have a good taste. I wouldnt even call it shawarma.
It s my 3rd time coming here and last!! Food doesn t hit at all! Don t order falafel s it taste like garbage !! 3 burnt falafel s for $8.00 !! Only thing that s good is fresh orange..
The place is nice and the staff are friendly. The size of the shawarma wrap was adequate. Much of the chicken unfortunately tasted like charcoal and the bread ripped too easily letting the food fall out. The rest of the chicken wasnt flavorful for my taste either. I ended up not finishing it. The cost was $20.
Not as promoted, its not Halal, its an Israeli restaurant. Not Palestinian
I thought its palestinian restaurant since they write Yaffa in Arabic, but be aware its an Israeli restaurant and not Halal too
Best Knowledge in Toronto!
So far the best in the city friendly staff and love the atmosphere
Go to shawarma for lunch while at work!! Great service and all staff bring positive energy.
Not good. Go to Flaming Stove down the street or pita and hummus 2 years ago.
Paid about $13+ for a Chicken Pita. First of all the pita is much smaller than a regular pita at other shawarma places, the pita was cold, they don t grill it, second, the meat, OMG! never had such tasteless meat, can t say what the heck I was chewing, and wasn t even warm , the meat in that small pita stops half way the rest was just salad. Lastly, they only have one spread ie, humus, no garlic or hot spread, and at the end a tiny portion of I think shawarma sauce on top. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. There are several Shawarma places at Yonge/Eglinton area (Istanbul Kebal, Pita place) they are an absolute mile ahead of this place. They person who invented Shawarma sandwiches must be turning in her/his place
Good food but very expensive.
Genuine people wanting to make the experience fun. Friendly and helpful the food was also awesome. The fries are the best Ive had in a while.
Bought the chicken shawarma bowl, food has no flavour idk what type of business they re running here. This definitely isn t shawarma that s packed with flavour, it s like if a middle aged suburban mom who counts her calories wanted shawarma she d get this. Lots of customization options though. Food is still lacking. Waste of $20. They always say if you go to a shawarma place and you don t see arabs working there, then it s going to taste bad but seriously, if you like bland food this is the place for you. The chicken tasted literally like nothing I couldn t believe what I was eating, this was my face
Food is delicious and fresh. Great service, fun music, affordable price. I will definitely come back
I work at Yonge and Eg and have seen a lot of restaurants come and go, I am SO happy that Yaffa is in the hood. The food is DELICIOUS. I ve read reviews about how some people think the pitas look small, and let me reassure you- they are stuffed to the max and made with so much care (the service is exceptional!) there is no way anyone could be left hungry afterwards. I love the eggplant, the chicken shawarma is so tasty, and there is a wide variety of fresh toppings. I haven t tried the rest of the menu yet because I keep repeating my favourite orders :) Nir was working over lunch and he remembered my name the second time I came in. He really goes out of his way to provide a positive experience, you don t see that often, it s really nice and I genuinely enjoy going there and supporting them.
