Parkway restaurant is a Persian Cuisine located close to Midtown Toronto. We serve the area with any Persian meals, appetizers and sandwiches in restaurant and online.
We were excited because it was close to our home, but after trying it, we deeply regretted spending $100. I’ve never had worse Iranian food in my life. We could barely take a spoonful and had to stop— I even threw up, and my husband ended up with diarrhea. I have no idea how they managed to get a 4-star rating. Don’t be fooled into ordering from here.
Every time I go to this restaurant, the taste of the food completely changes compared to what I ordered last time. For example, I ordered sour kebab, and it tasted good. But the next time, it wasn’t good at all, and it wasn't sour at all. The baghali polo with lamb shank was mostly fat instead of meat. The owner of this restaurant doesn't care about or value the customers. They've just hired a few unprofessional people and left the restaurant in their hands. Every time I go there, there are new people working, and the taste of the food keeps changing. I've decided not to go to this restaurant anymore. How irresponsible can an owner be!
Good quality and good portion best price big meals, good staff. Recommend here, absolutely we come back again, every thing was awesome, I can’t believe it with this food, unbelievable
We had the best experience at Parkway Restaurant. The food was delicious, the sides were all flavorful, and the portions were generous. We ordered Ash Dough, Baghali Polo with Lamb Shank, and Joojeh—all were very tasty. The staff were also very friendly. Thank you!
We went there for lunch and started with the appetizer kashke bademjan. It was tasty but could have used more garlic and warm bread instead of cold. However, it was still enjoyable. The use of paper placemats was a bit unusual. I liked the food,it was delicious and warm...particularly the baghali polo (rice with fava beans) and lamb. The restaurant was a bit chilly inside, and they didn't have warm drinks like tea available. The service was not bad because they were busy preparing in the kitchen, but I still enjoyed my meal.
Parkway restaurant isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. Stepping inside, the warm atmosphere transports you to the heart of Persian culture. The staff's genuine hospitality makes you feel right at home, and their knowledge about the menu ensures a perfectly curated dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply seeking a unique evening, Parkway Iranian is a must-try.
We really loved the Persian food here. The rice was excellent, kebabs were delicious and the Pomegranate gravy was something truly unique. We had a great time and like many others we too feel like it is one of the best Persian restaurants in Toronto.
Great food, amazing customer service; the owners are fantastic and come around to ensure your satisfaction with your service and food. I've been to many outstanding Persian restaurants in Toronto, and I have to say, by far, this one offers top-quality food. They use quality meat, as the dishes are juicy and melt in your mouth. I encourage everyone to try it for themselves and experience this amazing food, as words cannot do justice to the experience
amazing staff! so friendly. i had this yesterday and i enjoyed it so much. the food is amazing, this was my first time trying Persian food and i m not disappointed. great prices with even better portions!
This restaurant has so much potential. The food is not bad for what you pay for, but unfortunately the restaurant is run by a bunch of clowns who cant get their act together. The number of times my order has been forgotten or screwed up is astonishing. Furthermore, they need to pay more attention to hygiene. You dont wear gloves to avoid touching food but use the gloves to touch money, credit cards, point of sale machines and telephones.
There are some dishonest people who don t tip the server and are very rude to the people working there. I m speaking to Ms. Maryam, who is the owner of the restaurant. Also, these people are mistreating those who are newly arrived in Canada and need work. Please be aware that I will do everything I can to make sure your reviews are negative. They dont tip the server, the restaurant owner takes the tip. Worst food..
I had the Best kabab koobide in canada here
Great taste, good quality, nice staff. Preparation time too long
Today, Oct 25, I was very disappointed ! Picked up Vaziri leg 20:15 $24.99 + taxes, the chicken was really good but the ground was mashed up, it seems they drop the skewer. I could see her fixing with her bare hands to put it in tray, no gloves. Never seen this girl before. Ty
Very good food.
I had to update my review from 5 stars to 3 stars after trying another dish. The kebabs are good, but the Ash was disappointing. The portion was small, overpriced, and the quality was poor it seemed like it was made days ago. Dear management, to avoid food waste, consider offering a discount on food from the previous day. Selling old food at the regular price is neither ethical nor good for business.
I ordered two shishlik, ghimeh and ghormeh sabzi and two deserts for around $130.00 I got diarrhea when I had shishlik and worst part was the meat used for ghormeh sabzi, I have never experienced such a strange , elastic texture of meat in my whole entire life! When I called the restaurant, and spoke with the manager, I found him very unreasonable and maybe crazy because he told me as I have tested the food he cannot refund the money!!!! I explained to him If I don t test how possibly I could find if something is wrong!!!! At the end, he mentioned in case I bring the rest of the food, I will not receive refund or same food!!!! I advise people, that s where you will pay for food, choose, places with a good customer service. I have never go back and take this as a lesson in my life. I just give two stars for cooked rice. The quality of all the foods I paid, was horrible! The manager, looks like he doesn t know where he is running his business! You CANNOT change people for such unhealthy meals and take NO RESPONSIBILITY!!!!! Wake up sir.
The dishes have Iranian taste and are delicious, Bagali Plou with lam sheng is very good, the servers are very good and the atmosphere of the restaurant is also pleasant for the family. I recommend this restaurant to everyone to enjoy.
Pleasant atmosphere and a very clean place, friendly and good staff, excellent and professional management, and most importantly, very delicious Iranian food with a good price. I suggest you try it once.
incredible Persian dishes with rich flavors and warm hospitality and a must try spot for an authentic cuisine.
Really good Kebob if you re in midtown and massive portions for the price. Very happy with my order!
Unfortunately, this restaurant has poor service, and its weak management has led to a negative reputation that we keep hearing everywhere. First and foremost, the quality of the food is far below what one would expect for the high prices. The appetizers they serve are minimal, unimpressive, and lacking in value. The last time we dined here, the kebabs were completely burnt, and the Ghormeh Sabzi stew was cold and frozen. Despite this disappointing experience, we gave them another chance and returned. We spoke with the person at the counter, but their response was shocking. They rudely and angrily asked, What s your point? What s your problem? We ordered food again, but it was even worse than before. The rice was dry and tasteless, resembling low-quality Indian rice. The koobideh kebab was overly salty with an overwhelming amount of spices, making it taste like Afghan cuisine. The barg kebab was tough and made from the worst cut of meat. As for the appetizer, they served a tiny piece of cheese, three small pieces of cold taftoon bread, and a single parsley leaf as a garnish for three people! It was embarrassing and completely unprofessional. Overall, this restaurant is getting worse by the day. Don t waste your money here. I will never return for their low-quality food and disrespectful service.
I had the worst experience with low-quality Iranian food and terrible service at this restaurant. I will never go back again.
Weak management, low-quality food, and stingy presentation of appetizers. The taste is terrible and doesn t resemble authentic Iranian cuisine at all it s more like Afghan food due to the excessive use of Indian and Afghan spices. Their homemade drinks are suspicious, with no standard labeling or approval from Health Canada. The bottle caps are not factory-sealed, and there s no guarantee of hygiene. Overall, this is a worthless and low-quality restaurant. I will never try their food again.
it was great, so clean atmosphere.
Good quality of foods.
Food, service and the atmosphere are top notch. Every time we go or order anything, the quality is always excellent. Must try
The food was great. We had the barg kebab and it was perfect. Definitely recommend!
Ordered two koobideh (4 skewers) without rice and paid about $14 next time (after two weeks) ordered the same and they said $20 and it comes with rice whether you want the rice or not.
Nice place, a little empty but otherwise the staff was very friendly and the food was good.
This place is the best, friendly staff, nice environment and good quality food.
It was amazing, evry thing so tasty
Poor customer service, I was gonna pick up my order, and head to the desk, but she ignored me and ran to welcome a family just entered then she recommended the patio to them went outside then came back and said hello!! It s ok boil in water half baking meat and chicken and then barbecue!!! Delay is ok, bad smell of kobide is ok, burnt is ok, but dont ignore your customer never!
We dined as a party of 25 - the service was good Food was well done. Thank you Food : 5/5
I had excellent experience last night in this restaurant, we are from ottawa and didnt know this place but we enjoyed the food and specially the service. It is worth it to try and support them.
Disappointing experience. The food, particularly the kabob, fell far below expectations. The Kase Kabob was especially poor it felt like it should be called kabob in kase rather than Kase Kabob, as it seemed they didn t know how to prepare it properly. To make matters worse, when we requested the receipt, they initially refused. Eventually, they provided us with handwritten receipt , but they were full of typos (for instance, they wrote baer instead of beer). This came across as unprofessional and careless. Also, we were overcharged. The price on the receipt didn t match what was listed on the menu, which felt dishonest. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing dining experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone seeking quality food or honest service.
Drove by a few times and decided to try it out. It was delicious. I highly recommend the Joojeh torshe (sour chicken) but everything we had was great. Smaller place so I ranked the atmosphere lower but I will definitely be stopping by again regardless.
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Parkway Restaurant on Eglinton Street in Toronto. From start to finish, it was a disaster. They completely messed up my order and failed to take any responsibility for it. Despite the restaurant not being busy, they took a staggering 60 minutes to prepare my food. When the food finally arrived, it was undercooked. Its clear they cant handle even the smallest volume of orders. The staff were unhelpful and dismissive, making the entire ordeal even more frustrating. I would strongly advise against dining here.
We came for the second time. We ordered kebab bowl and chicken stew, which took forty minutes, maybe more, we were really hungry. While the food was delivered by Uber. The screens were off, water was dripping from the ventilation channel on us, no one came to take the order, we had ordered and it was forgotten. No one came to ask questions all the time. In my opinion, reducing staff confusion can greatly help the quality of service.
We always order takeout from here for a local pesian restaurant. It s amazing.
We ordered food from them many times. The food is good no doubt... But- their service needs improvement. We ordered online through their website. We received a confirmation email and a receipt. When we went to pickup the food wasnt ready. They said they didnt get the order.. we had to wait for an additional 40 minutes until we got the food. No one apologize to us or though about compensation. We ordered two kind of stews, both came almost without meat. Im not sure we will order again
I had the best experience here and I recommend everyone to try. Worth every penny
Disappointing. Not recommended. Poor quality of food without authentic taste. It seemed very old and reheated. We ordered Tachin ba morgh, kabab barg with rice.
Atmosphere 0 Foods quality 0 Service 0 Loss your money 100%
Someone needs training -response to the owner : this food IS from your restaurant, if you really think is not, you can go check your cameras if you have ! And yes your staff also forgot to ask me if I m ordering to take out or dine in ! So they handed in it take out and I have to tell them after .. thats your restaurant s table right there as you can see ! Why would I get a food from somewhere else and have it at your restaurant???? The fact that you don t wanna accept this is the food quality of your restaurant makes it even worst ! This picture was taken in your restaurant On : Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 1:08 PM Ok you still dont wanna accept that but my friend you better work on the food quality so this never happen again because next time I m recording a 4K video capturing it since your cameras not working
I had food from your restaurant twice during the 3 days I was in Toronto. I really fell in love with it and the original taste of the food was preserved and without any added flavors and it was also very fresh and I will definitely come back to your restaurant every time I come back to Toronto. I highly recommend everyone to try it Vegetarian options: Kashk bademjoon, mirzagjasemi, salad shirazi kookoo sabzi
Just spent $15 on a Koobideh wrap only to have the ground beef raw from inside. Very disappointed I couldn t go back to get a refund due to rain.
Very good quality and perfectly garnished :)
Vegetarian options: Kookoo and Mirza Ghassemi Food
Awesome food Kind servers Food
Love their Familly Platter for 2, its big enough for a family of 3. The quality is great. Casual but tasty neighborhood spot
Wonderful people work here - if this was the last place I ever ate - I would leave this world satisfied.
Food quality was ok (not great) but they had unsatisfied customer service. Also the prices has been increased and they mentioned at checkout which is weird.
Just okay, nothing more!
I got Koobideh and I would say don t waste your money, very low quality food!
We went to celebrate Eid here. The chicken was uncooked. Not recommended at all.
Excellent food, good price, fair atmosphere and service. Highly recommended.
The food taste is very good.
Low quality Kobideh Kabab
We just tried their take out koobideh kebab and Fesenjoon It was so delicious They have free WiFi, no free parking Food : 5/5
Day by day the amount of food is decreasing.Today I had a delivery from Uber eat the amount of rice and fries were unbelievable.
This place is amazing. The food is juicy and flavourful. The prices have recently gone up, but its still much more affordable than other popular Persian restaurants. Give yourself extra time. They are often slammed and since they put the food over the fire at the time of order, the grills fill up quickly and need time to cook properly. Take out usually needs 10-15 mins longer than anticipated. The people (owners and family possibly?) are super nice, so please be nice if waiting for your food!! We usually get Family Platter 1 with like 4 or more extra tomatoes.
Professional manager. Best staff. This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. Awesome and delicious food. The Best choice. Be sure to try.
I ordered tahchin with lamb, and it was fantastic. I love it; it reminds me of my moms cooking. I would like to try again.
That was so yummy ,this portion was really good for 2 person easily, it s very optimal
I had ordered sultani and Shandiz for pick up and what I got was 2 burnt dry skewer of koobideh and barg kabobs Shandiz supposed to be a Cornish hen kabob but it was half regular chicken instead which was half burnt on surface and not cooked thoroughly . Very disappointed
Wait times are long but damn is it worth the wait. I reviewed this a while ago with 3 stars but with enough time, this place has become my fave spot to have food. I usually take out and mainly order either a joojeh or vaziri leg. Always delicious and lots of portions. I recently had one of their lamb shanks though, and let me tell you, I do not normally consume lamb because I do not like the taste, but the seasoning they put on their lamb is amazing. I definitely recommend for anyone to try.
Had a worst experience with ordering and picking up never again will order from here
Good food good portions ! Will come back. They have good variaty of persian food !
Unfortunately, the burger was undercooked to the point where the texture of the ground beef was plainly visible.
I ordered Persian food which name is Abgoosht from this restaurant a few days ago. The stew was so thick and greasy which is not how it s supposed to be and the taste was not so good either. This was my first experience of this place and I will not recommend it to anyone anymore.
Its a blessing to have a #persian restaurant in midtown Toronto. Food is sooooo delicious. employees are so welcoming and friendly and polite . I give them good credit . The only problem is loud music , its kind of bothering but other than that theres no problem and everything is well and organized.
We were the only people in the restaurant and we didn t get anyone ask if we needed anything not even water. Kabob koobideh was salty and too much fat Ghormeh sabzi did not taste like an authentic food. Kashk basemjan was very good. Portion was good Prices was ok
Poor service and delivery. We did not receive our orders completely and the manager was so irresponsible and rude. This was my last time ordering from this restauarant. (First Review) Response: Since I could not reply to the managers response to my first writing, I have edited it to incorporate their reply here. Our response to the managers reply is as follows: Thank you for your response and explanation regarding the issue with our order. While we appreciate your efforts to rectify the situation, our primary concerns were not fully addressed in your reply. Our main complaint were centered around the poor service we experienced, the delivery mishap, and the rude and insulting behaviour we encountered from the manager. We were disappointed by the disrespectful remarks made towards us. Regarding the delivery mishap, we understand that mistakes can happen, and we appreciate your attempts to resolve it. However, we still believe that the restaurant should take responsibility for ensuring that orders are handed over to delivery drivers correctly, rather than allowing drivers to pick up orders on their own. We hope that moving forward, there will be improvements in both service quality, customer relations, and a commitment to professionalism from all staff members. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The Worst Customer Service. I am taking my previous 5 stars back and give a BIG 0 and 3 thumbs down instead due to OFFENSIVE & EXTREMLY RUDE behaviour of the female employee with dyed hair on Wednesday April 3, 2024 at 10:18 pm when an order was placed by phone for pick up. Apparently they close at 11pm and she was pissed of recieving an order in that time. She presented rude and disrespecfull manner both on the phone and at the time of the order puckup . I am not certain if she suffers from anger management issue or not BUT Unfortunately some Persian buisiness owners do not educate their employees about dealing with the customers and public relation importance and such neglect is what, which eventually prevents a buisiness to grow. I have been a customer of Parkway Restaurant almost since after it was established but I am stopping being a customer for good. I prefer to spend my money, where politeness and respect toward customers are given value.
Delicious food, friendly staff. I ordered Barg, and it was made of fresh meat and was very tasty. The staff approach is positive. The prices are reasonable (and I hope they continue to be!). Highly recommended.
The portion of the food gone so small and it s not same as before but the taste is still good. I hope that they go back to their previous portion for their foods. Food
Yesterday, we had a great experience eating there. The staffs were very nice, the location was good. We enjoyed all the Persian foods we missed. One of the best in Toronto. The price was reasonable and the size of dish was very generous. we felt nostalgic to see all our Persian dishes that we missed on the one table, Chicken kebab was tender and tasty. Ghorme sabsi was great. Fesenjoon, OMG, it was amazing. Kashke Bademjoon was great and well designed. Koko sabsi was very yummy. Tahdig was crunchy and Big. This is why you should try this amazing restaurant. I forgot to say the place was very clean even the bathroom
We always order Jojeh leg there. The taste is amazing. I highly recommend it.
Im very impressed by food quality and great portion of all meals! This persian restaurant in midtown Toronto is awesome. They also offer sandwiches on their menu. Lamb sandwich is a must try Tahdig dish is my favourite. Highly recommend this place!
Good tasting Persian food, good quality, large portions, reasonable price, and quick delivery.
Food was delicious . Nice portion. Reasonable prices
We ordered food from Parkway Restaurant for our employee luncheon and it was excellent. The dishes were well presented and very tasty. We will be sure to do it again. Thanks to Niloofar for all her work in arranging and preparing our order
One cozy Persian restaurant where their kebabs tastes is one of the most authentic ones in Toronto. Tried several Persian restaurants and their Koobideh Kebab tastes almost like what I used to have back home. Their stews are also so delicious. One point to improve is how they present and serve the meals which could be better.
Kebabs were well cooked and really tasty and delicious. We loved Ash Reshte as well. Food
good food, reasonable price, clean place, courteous staff ... highly recommended
Best food
I bought a lamb Rib, which was supposed to be vegetables via Uber eats. They sent me rice, and a meat that was mainly fat. It was inedible. Horrendous! P.S. i see that their manager rather than accepting what they have done, is claiming that I wasnt a customer. I ordered via my friend and here is the receipt. Now lets see how you add to your disappointing service
I had the most delicious kebab. Very tasty, well cooked and tasty marinated. I ordered plater 2 which was a barg, jooje and 2koobide. I also ordered a zeytoon parvarde which was so delicious. Thank you Park Way! Keep up the amazing work
Food is ok
Regrettably, my recent Uber delivery from Parkway was a low-quality chicken, purchased on sale just before its expiry date, resulted in a severe case of food poisoning that left me unwell throughout the first night and sick the next day. It took 48 hrs to fully recover from the poison they sold me instead of food!!! Its disheartening that such subpar ingredients are sold at this restaurant, compromising the safety of the customers. Parkway s reliance on uncooked, low-grade ingredients is concerning and not worth the risk. A disappointing experience that highlights the importance of quality control and food safety in any establishment.
I picked up their Chicken Kabob on Friday, only to endure food poisoning that has left me unwell throughout this holiday season. I intend to report this incident to health authorities after the holidays. Its shocking that negligence in food preparation, most likely cross contamination (the same person at the cashier is the same person who is cooking the food on the grill) or possibly expired ingredients resulted in such a dire consequence. I strongly advise AVOIDING this establishment at all costs to safeguard your health and well-being.
Uncooked! terrible quality food! Don t eat at this place.
The worst restaurant ever. Call 2 hours before you want to order a simple rice because they are understaffed and not organized at all. Don t recommend at all! Save your time and go somewhere else!
Congratulations to management of the restaurant with this customer service I went there last evening around 6:45pm, I preferred to go there by myself instead of online cause I wanted to order for our party and wanted to asked them put the kebabs in one place and rice in one etc... I went inside, and 2 guys were working there. One of them was making 3 kebabs, and the other one was far. I couldnt see what he is doing, I waited for 15min and I was thinking maybe theyre busy with lots of orders, no one was there except an Asian guy who was eating his dinner, after all I asked is someone taking orders? In English, no answer then I asked in farsi, the guy who was making kebabs looked at me like he wanna punch in my face and the other guy waving from far, then I asked louder maybe someone else is there, nothing, so I left and ordered to other restaurant for our party... also, that guy who was making kebabs was lucky he wasnt close to ... Im not going there EVER , and I dont know if the manager or owner of this place knows about their behavior, but it no wonder the place was empty,
Great vibes and hospitality here! I had a real good Vaziri here
One of the best Iranian restaurant in Toronto. The food quality and taste is great. The portion is also big and I found it really affordable. Nice experience!
My first trial was a great experience as of a delicious Koobideh. Hopefully that will not change in my next trials.....:D !
Excellent! Will order again.
Food is good but inconsistent. One day there s onions in the koobideh wrap and the next it s replaced by just tomatoes and pickles. One day the meat is overcooked the next it s undercooked. They made an error with my order and wouldn t own up to it. I came to get my usual koobideh wrap but they made a platter instead. They made me wait to replace it while holding a baby. There was no apologies for the error but rather the skinny guy with the man bun is arguing. I tried to explain that I m a usual client and that I always get the same order but it was pointless. I wanted to pay with my credit card and twice he would just punch it in and leave when I told him something wasn t right. Big zero for his customer service I hope his boss takes notes ! On top of that, the wrap was cold and ingredients falling off. You d think they would warm up the koobideh skewer before since I waited regardless. Anyways, very disappointed by the way they handled the situation and it s too bad because I order there every week. They need to step up their game that s for sure.
Ok I dont know how to start , because as an iranian guy I want to be supportive but dont wanna put fake reviews... theyre very nice specially out waitress... we ordered lots of food but I need to explain ... our orders .. the Barg kebab was very good and delicious... the koobideh (ground beef kebab) was so dry also chicken kebab was super dry and it was tasting strange , like lemon and bad saffron so made it bitter ... we also ordered Kofteh which I thought its ok but my friend didnt like it at all ... first they served our Kofteh like 40lmin delay with of our other foods , second we wanted to order some other stuff from menu but waitress said we dont have this or that and worse than that when I asked her ,, ok when we can come you have all your foods in menu , she replied I am working here just in weekend, and I have no idea which it is the worse answer you can hear .... in total, maybe Ill check them later because they seems theyre new in this business and dont know what to do but no recommend at all ... I gave them 3 stars just because Im iranian too like them and try to he supportive
Their is okay - tasty chicken but not WOW .....they could be more creative .....Just sayin!
I wanted to like this place as it is close to where I live and as an Iranian it s convenient to have a Iranian restaurant close. The kebabs were burned and koobideh was dry, food was cold by the time it got delivered which probably wasn t their fault as I had to hire a car to deliver the food. Portion size was plenty I ordered food for a party of 7 and got like 5 dishes of kebab and rice
Extremely affordable and great quality and quantity for what you pay!
Tasted good , package is not something that can hold the heat
Amazing food and amazing taste with amazing quantity!
Great food and friendly staff, good customer service. The bread and cheese free starter was a great welcome! The Olvieh tasted just like my moms! I loved it Rice and stew were also well cooked and spiced. Definitely recommend it!
Ordered Koobideh meal and it was awesome! Juicy and flavourful. Servings are generous as well and you get the value of your money. Service was great and wait times were reasonable. I would go again and visit this place when I m in the mood for authentic Iranian cuisine.
This restaurant used to be a good when they opened for few months but not anymore, I got my order without somagh, and kobidehe no taste at all, the price keeps going up and quality goes down,
Used to be a good persian restaurant. Unfortunately quality is declining everyday. Now meat is not fresh most of the time (you might be lucky to get fresh ones) and is reheated food mostly.
I usually try Persian restaurants when I travel to Toronto , one of the best I ve tried so far . Always recommend it
Chefz doesnt know what they have and what they dont have, rude employee
Delicious Persian food on Eglinton with attentive and warm service! Highly recommend!
Today I had the most amazing Zereshkpolo and Morgh (chicken stew) of my life!!! The stew had the most authentic persian flavor! You can totally smell the Saforon from that! I had it with Tahchin which mad it grate with the stew! I am going to try the Dizi next time, which is is one of my other favorites! I totally recommend this place if you crave for Persian food!
This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Toronto I have ever been and food was so delicious. I recommend to anyone.
The best restaurant and amazing The best customer service
If you ask for vegan options they have a number of dishes that are naturally vegan Vegetarian options: Kashekeh Bademjoon (without the kashk topping) Mirza Ghasemi Albalu Polo (sour cherry rice) Baghali Polo Ash (without the kashk topping) Veggie skewers
The food is good in this place but the service is okay. A lot of misunderstanding and lack of service (missing bread, cutlery, plates)
Horrible customer service. So rude and disrespectful it s ridiculous. Called and canceled the order since they told me it takes 30 minutes in a very rude tone of voice. After a few hours received a call back from them , she was raising her voice and arguing with me that my order is ready and why am i not picking it up!! Used to love the food and customer service here , i have no idea what have changed!!
Had a wonderful dinner here last week, it was warm enough to sit on the patio which was nice. We shared a family meal, the meats and rice were wonderful, and we had enough left over for lunch the next day too.
I really really enjoyed the food. It was so delicious. I recommend it for anyone. Also, all staff were so nice and the area was very clean.
The best Iranian restaurant in Toronto. I love their Burgers. Each Burger is enough for 2 people.
So nice
What a joke of restaurant! Dine-in: I d avoid dine-in at this place at all costs. You get better customer service at a gas station than here! Super SLOW and unfriendly! Food quality: I had koobideh and my friend got chicken. The chicken was undercooked and koobideh was literally a piece of wood! Perhaps the worst koobideh I ve had!
Excellent food, grilled fresh to order. Great portion sizes. Service was great and the place is nice. Good value for money.
Yesterday I had a super perfect dinner with my supervisor and some colleagues at the Parkway restaurant, as an Iranian restaurant , I could definitely give the first rate for the taste among all the restaurants that I have tried in Toronto. The service was great and on time, people were so friendly and caring, I recommend Kasheke bademjan for the appetizer, it tastes like heaven, reminds of my grandma a cooking, mean like completely home made ones, we had Tahdig of gheyme if was surprisingly very tasty, the platters come with lots of rice and a lot for groups to be chosen and obviously budget priced. I recommend to try Joje leg barbecue it s great. Not to forgot the yogurt was mixed with mint and garlic was unbelievable, don t forget to give it a try. We spend more than 2 hours in this cozy restaurant and we had a very great time, sth which made me happy to recommend this restaurant to my supervisor was he ordered more to take home . In all I want to show my appreciation for the owner of the restaurant for the great service and cleanliness of the restaurant. Everything was super awesome
Everyone was so friendly. Food was amazing and authentic. Definitely going back soon.
We went to this restaurant on a not busy Sunday afternoon. We ordered family platter 2 and shole zard. The food is ok. Kebab koobide was a bit uncooked in the middle and was bland. I rarely add any salt to my food but I had to do it with koobide as it tasted too meaty. The most awful part was the service. We had to call someone to bring us the menu. I had some questions about the menu but the waiter was trying to escape. It was not busy at all. We were the only people in the restaurant. She never checked on us to see how s the food or if we need anything. Will never go back.
Im sorry I have to rate your restaurant two startsThe food was not delicious well I will never repeat it again.
The quality of the food do differ on various days but it s mostly good! I recommend trying their chenje / chicken leg and their dough for the drink!
Very clean and neat restaurant. Orders came with precision. Food is delicious.
Last night I recieved worst food ever, completely uncooked chicken,I mean literally raw,and the koobide was also not cooked properly and rice was cold ,that was a real disappointment,
Great food and wonderful service, Will be there again and again for sure The two ladies have amazing attitudes and great communication with customers Thanks PARKWAY RESTAURANT for making delicious Persian food
Disappointing Dizzi ever had. I might come back for other foods to try but never will try Dizzi again however the lady was courteous and friendly. Food
The food is delicious. The service is fine although some employees were rude.
Nice place, nice service, nice all. At first they served a very tasty ricotta with some pita breads. I tried the family plate 1 and came a lot of delicious rice, koobideh skewer, chicken legs and breasts skewers. I definitely will go back there! Delicious food! Thank you!
Love the Kabab Torsh, Dont miss it
Perfect
best persian food
I tried Barg and Koobideh! Barg was fine although the cheif and waitress did not know if it is lamb or beef!! In case of Koobideh, I did not like the taste and quality, it was over cooked and I did not raste the meet, I felt I am eating more flour ratger than meet. Not recommended. However, my friends like it. I just ordered once.
Food is phenomenal but when you call in the background noise makes it hard to understand those who answer the phone and they could work on their customer service once they get that to a t 5 stars for sure.
We looked like uninvited guests to the servants. It was 7 pm and everyone looked tired and unwelcoming. The food was good in portion size but medium in the taste. The prices are low, I would have given 4 stars if the atmosphere was not this much down.
Very nice place, atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is amazing recommend to everyone that enjoy Persian food Kid-friendliness: Very nice
I love this place!! Best cost benefit. Food is excellent and the service is amazing! Food
Kobideh is very dry and hard also chicken bbq is inside is bloody and barg was so thick, we couldn t eat all of them . This is not Persian kebob, definitely not coming back . We called to order by phone and I went there to pickup up the food , it takes 15 minutes to give me my food but the food was ready on counter top but they don t know . All employees needs more training for give good services . Also price is not reasonable , very expensive with this quality of food and services.
I am a regular customer and I am usually ordering online and picking up from the store. This restaurant with a few attention to people s feedback can be a great place. The website says half an hour but usually the food is ready in around 50 minutes IF the have received your order, so you have to call to confirm. If you have special requests whether on website or on the phone it will definitely be ignored (more than 90%) of the time. For example they put packs of butter on top of the hot aluminum package. By the time it gets to your house the butters have melted the packages opened and the paper bag and aluminum is soaked in butter!! Even your car carpet. Doesn t matter how many times you complain about the mess , they will do it every time. It is close to me, price is reasonable, that s why I am keep on ordering and complaining every time.
Delicious food!
The food was delicious and the service was on point! Would return and recommend !
Zaban sandwich was really good but a bit greasy! Dough was awesome! Friendly service
Excellent quality food, very generous portions and great pricing. Had a fantastic time eating here! Already been here 5 times and will be back for sure!
Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Will be back!
Some of the best Persian food in the city. Incredible service and a great patio. Thanks!
The food quality is amazing, service is even better, super friendly personal. I call them early in the morning as soon as they opened, they were able to accommodate my request in a timely manner. Food
The food is amazing. Great quality and delicious
Food tastes great . Very fresh . Big portions . Very reasonable pricing . A bit slow service but you can enjoy free tasty side dishes for free I m the mean time !!
Unwelcoming staff, smaller portions
We were in the area at 10 PM and saw this nice and quiet spot serving some delicious Persian meals. Tried their Gormeh Sabzi and chicken leg kebabs. Everything was prepared fresh. TBH one plate is enough for two people and they have lots of sides that you can try. The staff was very patient and attentive. It was our first time trying Gormeh Sabzi and we cant wait to try it again.
I had the koobideh (beef kebab with rice and salad) last night and it was delish! I was also surprised at the serving size: it can be a meal for 2 people and reasonably priced at $13.50. Their staff are also friendly and the place is clean. So glad I found Parkway Restaurant now I know where to go whenever I crave Persian food. Next time, I will try other items on their menu.
The best koobideh I ve had in a while! All freshly made/bbq-ed.
Ive never dined in the restaurant but have got take out and delivery multiple times, be it single meals of kababs and chicken kababs, or large portions of different items for parties (trays of mirza ghassemi, pots of ash reshteh for a party of 30, etc.) and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food.
Great food and friendly staff, you should try Ghormesabzi and Kabab Kobideh
Absolutely amazing food and service, Probably the best Persian restaurant in Toronto. I would give them a 7 star if it was possible. We will be back. Love from our entire family to everyone at this gorgeous restaurant.
I recently tried Koobideh at Parkway Restaurant, hoping to enjoy some Persian cuisine, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The taste of the food was far from what I expected - it was rather unpleasant. The flavors seemed off, and the overall quality left much to be desired. I had high hopes for a great Persian meal, but sadly, it fell short. I hope the restaurant can improve its culinary offerings in the future
This place used to be really good, now lack of service unfortunately they take forever to pack ready food (rice and some stuff already in pot yet takes forever), nobody speaks basic English most of the time and its makes really hard to order and their phone is broken since opening yet they insist not to change I dont know hard to hire a manager...
Very good food!
The food is incredibly delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant, the chicken, kebab, and meat is so tender
Service is terrible. The staffs are not welcoming and don t care. My family and I been to all persian restaurants in this city and I can confidently rate Parkway the worst persian spot in the city. We ordered the signature kabob dishes, Oh boy! the chicken was burnt on the outside but uncooked inside! Koobideh was also not cooked properly. They don t have proper staff and persoanl. the person at the cash who takes the order is the person who makes the food and serves it to you! Worst experience.
I ordered the salmon kabob from them on Uber eats and received a piece of fried smoked salmon. I was so confused when I opened it and noticed no kabob, but a thin HARD piece of fish. I tasted it and it was salty and smoked. I am disappointed that I chose to support such a deceptive restaurant, and will not be ordering from them in the future.
I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Parkway Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that something was off. Staff seemed disinterested and barely acknowledged our presence! It s very clear that they are under staff as everyone looks exhausted! After a very long wait, To make matters worse, the grilled Persian Kabobs were shockingly not cooked properly and raw in the middle. While I took the plate of raw chicken kabob to show to the kitchen staff, I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw a member of the kitchen staff using a microwave to reheat the stews dishes we ordered!!! Its a shame that such a place even operates with such poor standards. They certainly need a new cook and new trained staff.
They changed my online order (both food and smdeseet) without discussing it with me. I ordered food online at this vendor. At the time of pick up they informed me that they had changed my food and desert items without telling me. Until this moment, I had never ordered food from a restaurant where theyd switch your food without telling you! I understand that my item might be sold out but at the least call your customer and let them know! I told them that this is not the food I ordered and I understand that they may be sold out, so lets switch it with an item that I would prefer to have. They said they have to charge me for a new item (even though my new item was cheaper)! I asked them what am I supposed to do with the food that they are giving me because I dont really like it. To which the manager just smirked. At this point I just took the bag of food and walked away. Never have I experienced such a terrible service in Toronto.
Great food and reasonable prices
The staff at this restaurant were shockingly unresponsive and downright rude. It felt like they couldnt care less about the customers. We had to practically beg for for simple requests, they responded with a dismissive attitude. Its disheartening to see such a lack of professionalism in the service industry.
Awesome
Great food
Has the best and juiciest chicken Ive ever tasted in my life! The rice and beef were also great. One dish is enough for 2 people. I ordered the Vaziri breast. Highly recommend!
They have a very good quality persian food with a decent price and clean space.
RUDE PEOPLE !
I appreciate staff and food every thing was great. The best Persian food.
I was not at all satisfied with the tahchin, because it wasnt crispy at all, it was a doughy thing, awful
Fantastic persian food...great quality and flavor! Super friendly staff. Def. One of the better persian restaurants Ive been to! Food
Such great food so fresh and tastes great. Perfectly priced for quality food. Such nice ladies that were there helping me out for my pickup order. Will be going back soon Food : 5/5 |
We have food dated Nov 25, at Biochem Environmental. The food was very fresh delicious and made on time delivery. Rice with zirishq, and rice with safron. Kabob and chicken. Very very tasty and juicy.
The staff s loud conversations were distracting, yet they were genuinely kind. Unfortunately, kitchen smoke wafting into the dining area was bothersome. The grilled chicken was overly salty, but the koobideh kebab stood out as a delicious option on the menu.
Disappointing Experience with a Hope for Improvement As an Iranian, my family and I have a deep appreciation for Persian dishes, always seeking out the best representations in town. It was disheartening to find that the kebab I recently ordered from this establishment was completely raw. Ultimately, it transformed into gourmet cuisine for our discerning puppy the unexpected culinary delight of the day! Now, were graciously left with small portion leftover from the other nights feast, ensuring our pup enjoys a fine dining experience. Given our love for Iranian cuisine, we believe its crucial for local restaurants to excel in serving authentic Persian food. I emphatically encourage the owner of Parkway Restaurant in Midtown Toronto to scrutinize their weaknesses, particularly in MANAGEMENT of the entity, and to invest in staff performance and their food preparation. Constructive criticism is essential for growth, and we hope this feedback contributes to the enhancement of their services. We believe in the potential for improvement and expansion, and we look forward to seeing positive changes in the future as we aspire for Iranians in Toronto to showcase their utmost potential and excel in their endeavors. We hope this review serves as a cautionary note for others. Its essential to ensure the quality of the food and the responsiveness of the customer service before considering this place for your dining needs. We hope they can gain ground over a period of time, though!
If you re Iranian and nostalgic about kebabs and especially koubideh never try this restaurant and continue having nostalgia!
I ordered Gheyme, but the stew didnt have fries in it. Additionally, the tahdig didnt taste good and gave me a sore throat
Vegetarian options: Aash was very salty Food
Oh my goodness. The food here is incredible! I was in the area from over an hour out of town. I was craving Persian food, google showed me this place was close by. My god - this is the best Dizi I ve had in well over 20 years. Their doogh is flavourful, their khashkeh bademjan is sooo tasty. I can t see how anyone could have anything bad to say about anything here. It s so good I m writing this review while I am sitting here eating haha.
They never fail to surprise me, with an excellent quality. Thank you. Food
