Go for this place for quick dinner before Christmas concert, even we haven’t make any reservation and the restaurant is busy, the host still try his best to fit us. Service is very good, we just have one hour but don’t feel rushed at all. Octopus is tender and the lamb shank is tasty. For sure will go again to try other dishes.

Had a nice meal with a friend. Staff were friendly and service was great . Food was fresh and tasty. Lots of options on the menu. We shared dishes and portions were ok. Would have been happier with a bit more in the dishes. Had a tamal. Was great with the onion and garnish but a bit bland otherwise. Dessert was very tasty. Worth a visit.

The food was absolutely stunning! My first time trying Peruvian food and it was amazing! We got the Anticuchos (Veal Heart) which was sooo soo good and then settled on a shared entree that had ceviche (soo fresh), paella and fried calamari and yuca. The portions were extremely generous, we will have to go back to try the Seco a la Norteña (beef short rib). Everything was delicious! Do yourself a favour, skip the alcohol and get a pitcher of the chicha Morada (not pictured).

This is their second location in Canada (first one being in Burlington) and they offer authentic taste of Peruvian cuisine. They’re right outside St. Clair subway station and easily accessible by public transportation. The staff are very nice and friendly and very helpful. The restaurant has a cozy and positive vibe, suitable for business outings, date nights or hangouts with friends. We ordered different appetizers to share; “Cuatro Causas”, “Yuca a la huancaina”, “Anticucho”, “Causa Acevichada”. This was undoubtedly the best ceviche I’ve had in my life! For entrees, we ordered “Fettuccini a la huancaina con lomo saltado”, “Pescado a lo macho”, “Seco a la norteña” and “Arroz de mariscos”. Everything was fresh and very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back to try more of their menu items.

Yesterday, we visited El Inka Toronto with a group of 16 friends, and we were thoroughly impressed by the experience. First, the service was meticulous, and every request was handled smoothly. Second, the food was delicious, showcasing a variety of Peruvian dishes that delighted both local and international guests. This was our first time dining here, but it certainly won't be the last. Your restaurant has become an ideal spot for gatherings with family and friends, offering a warm atmosphere, delicious and diverse food options, and impeccable service, even for large groups like us. Thank you for making this happen! Gracias! Our menu included: *Piqueo criollo *Peruvian surf and turf *Ceviche carretillero *Picarones

It's perfect!! The place is comfortable for hangout and enjoys the time with friends. The foods are have a good quality and delicious. This reflected exactly what i ate when i was in Peru. The ceviche, maracuya sour, lomo saltado, and tres leches are all well made. The server is polite and friendly, too. I recommend this place and I'll definitely come back. Great job!!

Delicious! The ceviche leche de tigre and the arroz con mariscos were amazing. They feature a different drink everyday and Tuesday was Pisci Sour and it was very good, I’d highly recommend it. We tried the desserts and I was not a fan but one person in my party did like the sorbet. Can’t way to be back and try more dishes!

I visited this restaurant for the second time and can confidently say it is one of Toronto's best authentic Peruvian restaurants. We tried Choritos (mussels) a la chalaca, and it was mind-blowing, especially if you enjoy "ceviche style" dishes. The "chicharron" with fried pancetta is a must-try, and the "arroz con mariscos" was excellent. We also tried the delicious Aguadito (chicken soup) and Chupe de Camarones (shrimp soup) this time. The food here is 97% similar to authentic Peruvian cuisine. The Tres leches is good for dessert, but the Suspiro a la Limeña is the best. Our server, Juan Diego, was great. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

It was my first time at El inka, and I did love the atmosphere that El inka provided. Decorations were very cute, and they had latin music playing throughout the night. Food was more on the expensive side. However, the plate portions were pretty good. The restaurant is pretty compact so some areas can be tight squeezed, and for my mommas out there, I do not recommend bringing in your strollers here as it will be hard to maneover Overall, it was a good experience, and I enjoyed my meal and my time here.

The Pisco cocktails are a perfect touch, and the atmosphere feels warm and inviting. I need El Inka to get my Peruvian food fix. In my experience this is the most close to what food in Peru is actually like that you can get in Toronto. Ceviche is absolutely amazing here, same with their causas. I also like the anticuchos and chicha morada (I wish they served more in a bigger glass!) and Thursdays they have Peruvian donuts (picarones). The vibes here are really nice, really good service and always busy. Muy rico, yo siempre voy por ceviche aqui!

Do not order pick-up from this restaurant. The staff is inefficient and uncoordinated, and they take forever to confirm your order. I went last week, I ordered green noodles with steak, but I got a big surprise because the noodles were hard and the steak without chimichurri as I saw in other photos, and they seemed to be made with pomarola pasta without the taste of milk and cheese. The leche de tigre was good and the pisco sour was just right. The rice with seafood was good, but they could improve with parmesan cheese on the noodles. The fish soup we ordered should have been offered with other recommendations. The waiter forgot my huancaina potato, I asked him for it, but it never arrived. Parking: There is parking half a block away, 4.75 for 30 minutes.

October 23, 2024

Its bad, food is blend, and not fresh. Imagine fish soup that is not fresh. both of us asked for recommendations and neither of us could finish, one of us was about to puke halfway through the meal. Do not come Update: got it out afterward anyway, its actually not edible Update2: The MacD next door tasted better.

Setting is fantastic with outdoor patio and servers are good, not great but cant complain. This time I ordered Lomo Saltado. The Lomo was good, better if you compare it to other peruvian rest in To. Unfortunaly I dont kow what type of cheap rice they used that messed up the whole dish. Also order Piqueo Criollo, presentation was great, flavours nothing out of the extraordinary. Ordered Picarones for dessert, they seem a bit undercooked.

Here for the fourth time, and it continues to meet my expectations, I have already visited almost all the restaurants in Toronto and this one is by far the best! I recommend a leche de tigre as a starter so you can get an idea of how delicious the ceviche is, the anticuchos are very delicious although a little juicier would be better, the seafood rice 10 points! The lomo saltado can be improved, the green noodles with meat are very delicious! And something I love about this place is the pisco sour, every time I go its a must order! , the chicha morada at its peak , the cause of 4 very delicious but very tiny flavors. The service is excellent, the waiters will make sure that your glass is always filled with water and they are very attentive and cordial, congratulations to the manager or owner, and also my congratulations to chef Pablo Merino for such exquisite dishes! Please keep it up !

I love peruvian food and I like El Inka, both in Burlington and Toronto. From my last visit (Tue 6pm): PROS, ceviche de pescado (a marveluos preparation). CONS, promotional pisco sauer, good price but no pisco, almost a lemonade; escabeche de pescado, the sauce was extremely too sweet that I had to separate the rest of the food; lomo saltado, french fries seemed pale like uncooked. And finally, 2 guys to assist all the tables on a busy day is inacceptable. Service was slow but their fault... They tried their best.

Pros: - delicious authentic Peruvian food - very generous portion sizes - excellent steaks for a reasonable price - superb drinks - excellent staff, incredibly welcoming and friendly - beautiful and tasteful interior with lots of authentic elements Suggestions for an even better experience: - it s amazing that you have Latin music playing, but please make it a bit more suitable for a dinner experience. Many of the soundtracks feel more appropriate for a beach party, a club, or even a gym. A playlist that s more relaxed (perhaps some instrumental Latin / Spanish guitar) would make a huge difference to the dining experience.

Ive been a customer of El Inka in Burlington for quite some time and have always loved it. However, this is my third visit to the El Inka location in Toronto, and it continues to disappoint. The quality of the food is not the same, and instead of improving, its declining. Disclaimer: this is my personal opinion, therefore subjective. TLDR: Great atmosphere, good food, would recommend. Ask for Peruvian Pisco if ordering cocktails. Context: as a Peruvian, we are very proud of our food and therefore very picky. In reviewing this restaurant, Im hoping that potential customers find useful information and that the restaurant owners see this as a way to compliment them on what they are doing right and provide feedback on areas of improvement. Ambiance: the restaurant had a great ambiance and was very well decorated. Lots of Peruvian ceramics, tastefully placed around and it felt very modern and clean. The music that was playing was Peruvian and the volume low enough. Overall great first impression. 10/10 Service: the service staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable and spoke Spanish, as expected. However, they didnt refill our glasses with water until we asked close to the end of the meal, I would suggest leaving the bottle of water at the table. The food took a little longer than expected to arrive, even though the place was not full. In short, when engaged they were great, however they were not proactive and did not really ensure we had the best posslble experience, which I would expect since there arent that many Peruvian restaurants around. 6/10 Drinks: we had the chicha morada, which was excellent. The only grief I have is the fact that they show Chilean Pisco as their first option for base spirit for cocktails, as opposed to Peruvian Pisco. For the people that are not aware, Chilean and Peruvian Pisco are both very different even though they are both made from grapes, their process and end product are very different. If this is a Peruvian restaurant, they should showcase the Peruvian product, especially because the average consumer will not be aware of this distinction, this was very disappointing. If you are ordering cocktails, I would suggest you specifically ask for Peruvian Pisco. 4/10 Food: we had a variety of dishes, ranging from entrees to main to dessert. Overall, the food was good, it wasnt great and it certainly didnt match up to the real thing. It felt that the chef was given the instructions and ingredients to prepare the food but they didnt know what it is supposed to taste like. It was missing the Peruvian Sazón Peruvian cuisine is very particular. Here is what we ordered: Yuquitas con Huancaína - excellent here, no complaints. Causa Acevichada - causa was good, ceviche was missing some salt, otherwise good. Tallarines verdes - excellent, no complaints. Lomo saltado / Huancaína con Lomo - this is a more intricate food, the beef was great, but the sauce was lacking, it didnt taste like lomo saltado made in a wok, was missing salt and vinegar, the sauce felt like a gravy and this dish doesnt really have a thick gravy, more like a soy and vinegar jus. The tomato slices were too large and the onion was undercooked. For the untrained person, this was great! But it wasnt Peruvian Lomo saltado, again, it had all the ingredients but the taste was lacking. Suspiró a la Limeña - excellent, no complaints 3 Leches - not very good, very dry, for a dessert called 3 milks, you wouldnt expect it to be dry Chupe - excellent, no complaints. Overall, I would try it again to explore the rest of the menu. So far, in June 2024, this is by far the most well rounded Peruvian restaurant in Toronto that I have tried, however, that is a very low bar, because there arent that many Peruvian restaurants in Toronto, and the few that are around are mostly bad. The dishes that did well were very good, but the ones that were lacking were not really up to the Peruvian standard, dont get me wrong, they tasted fine but were not there representing Peru. There are some improvements to be made and it has great potential. 7.5/10 Overall 7/10.

Today we were at Inka celebrating a special occasion, our experience was not very good, we expected to feel the true Peruvian seasoning and original ingredients, few dishes have flavor, jellies and fried foods, I do not recommend them, the service seemed terrible to me, little courtesy and disconnection with the client. We liked the music!

As a first-time explorer of Peruvian cuisine, my visit to El Inka in Toronto few days ago was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. They have a warm glowing light and it just makes the places stand out from the whole street. The restaurants decor is a beautiful blend of traditional Peruvian elements like ceramic sculptures and traditional art pieces placed carefully everywhere. Some modern touches, creating an inviting and comfortable environment. The staff was friendly and were well versed about the dishes. They were able to suggest some dishes based on my liking and their most popular ones. The menu is diverse and rich with authentic Peruvian dishes. I started with the Ceviche mixto, a dish Id heard much about from this restaurant , and it did not disappoint. The fish was incredibly fresh, marinated to perfection, definitely stood out from all the other ceviches I had in the past. Next, I tried the Poached Branzino, dish suggested by our waiter Aldo, and I ve never had experienced such bright flavours. The fish was tender and juicy, cooked with squid, shrimp and muscles all simmered in rich tomato broth. The balance of flavours and textures was exquisite, making it a standout dish. To finish, I indulged in the Tres Leches Cake. This dessert was a revelation: moist, rich, and topped with a light whipped cream that added just the right amount of sweetness. It was the perfect end to a remarkable meal. Service: The service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. The timing of the courses was spot on, and I never felt rushed. Overall Experience: El Inka Toronto has made a lasting impression on me. As a newcomer to Peruvian cuisine, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, the warmth of the staff, and the overall dining experience. I highly recommend El Inka to anyone looking to explore the vibrant flavors of Peru. I ll definitely be returning to try more dishes! Dietary restrictions: Their menu has descriptions of all available modifications and options. Vegan, or gluten free,

Definitely, I would recommend going to this place for delicious food. I am Peruvian and I would say that from far this is the best restaurant of Peruvian food in Ontario. The people are very welcoming, food is delicious and there are big portions. So, as a recommendation if you have doubts about going, do not have it! You will enjoy the time there. Looking forward to trying the picarones.

Its a bit pricey, but its delicious. Most of the servers are friendly and good at answering questions. There is an older server, but he is a bit blunt. The food overall uses slightly sour spices, which may be a bit for your taste. The appetizer served before the meal is salty, making it a good snack with beer. It costs about $35 per person including food and drinks, making it a rare restaurant worth the money.

Really nice place and excellent customer service. Unfortunately I was a little surprised that a Peruvian restaurant serves cassava croquettes instead of real cassava. Of the 4 causas , both the octopus and the shrimp have an excess of a sauce with a strange flavour. The chicken and the tuna causas are excellent. The traditional ceviche is good although is a small portion based on the amount of fish.

Peruvian cuisine is renowned globally for its originality and richness. Unfortunately, this restaurant fails to meet even the basic standards necessary to offer an authentic Peruvian dining experience. I tried the Chupe de Camarones, which was diluted with excessive water, likely to cut costs, depriving patrons of the true essence of this remarkable dish. The Aji de Gallina, a hallmark of Peruvian cuisine, was equally disappointing. Instead of a flavorful and well-prepared dish, I received a poorly shredded piece of chicken with rice and a bland, minimal sauce. Seek out a reputable Peruvian restaurant to truly enjoy this cuisine; El Inka falls far short and should be avoided.

I ate here with my family, we ordered a causa acevichada and the truth is it was only potato and avocado with the ceviche, nothing surprising really, we ordered a lomo saltado and the rice was hard, what I do highlight is that the meat was soft, they added some huge pieces of tomato, I also ordered some huancaina noodles with loin and nothing to do with the flavor of the huancaina, the chicha was delicious, I have really visited better restaurants in Toronto GTA and even Niagara and I have spent much less, the amount that they serve is very little

Best Peruvian restaurant in Toronto for sure! The Causa Acevichada was amazing, super fresh fish, well done ceviche and portion was great! Lomo Saltado was divine, super juicy and the sauce was the best one I ever tried in this dish! The Cordero came with beans, which was incredibly good. Im not sure how they make, but it has a natural and delicious smoked taste, that matches very well with the meat. They also have passion fruit juice, I love it and its usually hard to find! I was super happy with this! Hahahaha We also ordered for dessert Tres Leches and Flan, both were very tasty! The place is very beautiful, decoration is super cute! This was our first time coming to El Inka, and it was a fantastic experience. I loved the 4 (cuatro) causas plate, especially the pulpo al olivo (the purple sauce), which I havent found outside Peru before. We ordered a portion for two of the trío de mariscos (three fish dishes), and it was very generous. The ceviche was excellent, and the seafood in the rice was plentiful. Well definitely come again to try other plates. The lomo saltado and chicarrón de calamar looked very good as well. You might need a reservation since the place was full when we went. Vegetarian options: They had in the menu a small section that I noticed I think was a vegan ceviche

This Peruvian place opened a little while ago. Got to try it on a Sunday for lunch with a friend. Lovely decor. Friendly service. The food - Amazing! We had the Leche De Tigre - a ceviche of diced tilapia, lime juice, cilantro onions, choclo and cancha. Subtle cool taste. I liked it very much. Next we had Aji de Gallina which is a shredded chicken dish with aji amarillo sauce, Parmesan cheese, white rice, boiled egg and a black olive. The portion was small but the dish was rich and filling .. well because the aji amarillo sauce has a base of cream. We could not eat anything after that. I will go in a for a stew next time. It s fine dining so a tad expensive but so is every similar sit down place in the area.
