Peruvian-inspired dining, small plates & entrees for sharing. We take classic Peruvian dishes and elevate them to a signature of textures and flavours that bring out the foodie in all of us. Our menu includes signature Peruvian cocktails like our Peruvian Pisco Sour, organic wine selection and local beer.
I visited here for the first time, and everything was fantastic! The food was delicious, especially the beef short ribs and octopus, but honestly, every dish was incredible. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful with choosing the right dishes. Highly recommended to try Peruvian food!
It was my first experience at Nuna Kitchen and bar. What an experience! The food was fabulous, the shrimp that I had was fresh and plump. The atmosphere was cozy, the decor with things from Peru was just eye catching. The Christmas decorations made this place feel so festive. The service is great, friendly staff, very attentive constantly checked in which was great. I highly recommend you trying this fine dining. I recommend you get dessert after dinner you will be in for a real treat!
I recently dined at Nuna Kitchen & Bar, and it was a solid experience! The cozy atmosphere was inviting, and the stylish decor set the right tone for a relaxed evening. The portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were vibrant, showcasing the chef's creativity. I particularly enjoyed the diverse menu options. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. However, the steak was a bit undercooked for my preference, which was letdown. While it did not ruin the meal, I was expecting a bit more. There is street parking available and accessible by TTC. Overall, Nuna Kitchen & Bar is a good spot for a casual night out. I would recommend it for a pleasant dining experience!
🇵🇪Peruvian Fusion Cuisine in Toronto Nuna is a Peruvian restaurant serving Italian and Japanese-inspired dishes. As my first time trying Peruvian food, I find their dishes perfect for those with Asian taste buds like me! 🍷 😋Here’s what we tried: East Coast Oysters Tuna Tartare💖 Can’t go wrong when tuna is fresh Beef Short Rib💖 Tender and flavourful Seafood Pasta💖 Creamy pasta with fresh, huge shrimps Lyche Rose Spicy Serenade Lemon Pie💖 🍔 Yelp Elite 2️⃣ 📍 Google lv 8️⃣ local guide 👯♀️ Pm for collab
My recent visit to Nuna on a date night was nothing short of spectacular. We sampled a variety of dishes: the chicken and octopus causas, ceviche, beef anticuchos, shrimp al ajillo, and oysters. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing beautifully crafted Peruvian cuisine with a modern twist. The textures and seasonings were spot-on, making it hard to pick a favorite. The ambiance added to the experience, making it perfect for a romantic night out. Nuna has easily earned a spot in my top 3 restaurants in Toronto. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in vibrant flavors and a memorable dining experience.
Great spot for some unique food! Never had Peruvian food before but will definitely come back and have it again after my experience. Overall: 4.2/5 Food: Croquettes 3.5/5 - a lot of my friends liked this, but I thought it was ok. If there were more seasoning and maybe sauce inside the croquette I think I would’ve liked it more! Shrimp risotto: 4.2/5 - really liked this unique dish! It was a perfect balance of creaminess, with the shrimp flavour, it was just so great. I’d get it again… wish it was a bit bigger though! Atmosphere: 4.2/5 - we are on the patio and it was such a nice private ambiance. There was Spanish music and Afrobeats playing, 2 of my favourite genres. Service: 5/5 - very friendly and kind waitress that we had who always made sure we had water and checked in often.
I came here for my birthday in April and I must say I can’t wait to go back. The food and drinks were amazing. Our group ordered different dishes from the menu, so we tried a little bit of everything and each plate was great. My stand outs: The ceviche: so fresh, and flavourful, it was perfect. 😍 the shrimp risotto with ají amarillo, the octopus anticuchero, the pulpo al olivo, the yuca croquetas, tiradito etc. The lucuma tres leches was out of this world. I’m Peruvian and I was so happy to find this place. Our group was extremely satisfied. I highly recommend. :)
3.5/5 Cute small restaurant. Unfortunately they didn’t have AC running so it was humid and hot. Small but compact menu. Every dish sounds appetizing. Octopus appetizer had tasty sauce. Acidity and the flavour balance was good. Ceviche was great. Nice texture and flavour. Shrimp was done way too salty so we had to let the kitchen know. They remade it. It was good then. The main $80 steak was disappointing. Peruvian steak is supposed to be really good but it was over cooked, not crusty. Potatoes and tomatoes that came with the dish were better. Seafood pasta’s flavour was good but super dry. Their cocktails were interesting and good. Overall food was good but service wasn’t great. There was only 1 server to cover the entire restaurant. People were lining up but waiting inside the restaurant so it overcrowded the place. Since they didn’t have AC on, the front door was the only ventilation means but people were blocking it. Not a great experience. They can improve on this.
Food was delicious! Nuna was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. Ordered the bbq pork and shrimp risotto. Good portions, well seasoned and presented. Also added a slice of Lucuma cake which beautifully accented the meal. Can t wait to order from here again
I ordered through uber and enjoyed one of the best meals of my life.
This restaurant serving a fusion of Peruvian flavours with world cuisine. Think Pisco Sours, Ceviches and Causas! This cozy restaurant is one of the best hole in the wall places on Queen. The ambience and hospitality is so welcoming and the menu has something for everyone including great vegetarian options. We went with our servers recommendation: Pisco Sour Espresso Niska Brussels Sprouts Yuca Croquettes Chicken Causa Pan Seared Salmon Gnocchi Tofu Aeropuerto Chocolate Lucuma Cake We were delighted by the organic fusion of authentic Peruvian flavours in each dish including the dessert and the exceptional service. They are also open till late on the weekends so this should be your next date night spot for sure! Vegetarian options: Mushroom subsititons, Brussels Sprouts , tofu aeropuerto
Came here for a date night. The restaurant is very cozy, like the atmosphere. We ordered the Nuna Ceviche as an appetizer. It is very delicious, the fish is very fresh and not fishy at all. The crispy corn is slightly hard but we manage to eat it. All the large plates seem to be not that large, only enough for one person I d say. We ordered Arroz con pato, which is a confit duck leg. The skin is very crispy while the meat isn t too dry. The risotto is also very flavourful. For the beef short rib, it s as expected, very tender. The roasted carrots are such a great addition to the dish. The portion is still on a smaller side. We also ordered a chocolate cake as a dessert. Overall, we enjoyed the dinner. Cocktails are great, will recommend and revisit for some drinks and late-night snacks. For the price point, I d expect a better portion of food and more attentive service.
We were a group of seven and had a lovely evening at Nuna yesterday. The Lima and Inti cocktails were uniquely crafted and absolutely delightful. For food, we couldn t get enough of the shrimp al ajillo and the pork aeropuerto both dishes were packed with incredible flavors. To top it all off, the tres leches dessert was an absolute dream, easily one of the best we ve ever had. Our server, Brenda, was exceptional attentive, friendly, and made the experience all the more special. The ambiance was super cozy, making it the perfect spot for an intimate and enjoyable evening. We ll definitely be back again! Highly recommend Nuna for a memorable dining experience.
It is a small but cozy place, the meal, appetizers, and desserts have good quality. However, appetizers coulybe better. I liked the steak and chocolate cake. Food
Este lugar tiene la mejor comida de Toronto! Qué delicia! This place has such a nice vibe, it may be small but their food is amazing. My husband and I love this place. And their servers are always superfriendly! We love this place
Simply the best Peruvian food Ive had in Toronto. The seafood risotto was amazing, the appetizers are tasty and the desserts are great, specially the 3 leches with lucuma. Also, the staff is kind and nice. Important: the chef is Peruvian!
The dining room was freezing cold, plates were cold. Food was tasteless.wairess was pleasant.
Laura was such a lovely server for our party of 9 and the food was amazing! Thank you!
Stopped by Nuna for a 9pm reservation on a Saturday, requested a corner/private table and they DELIVERED. Service was amazing...our server Brenda was very attentive, helpful and recommended delicious appetizers. Cocktails were unique and had photos of the drinks on the menu, so you know what to expect, which I love! Appetizers: Yuca Croquettes were SOO GOOD (cheesy/hot/crispy on the outside), and the flavors of the shrimp al ajillo dish were impeccable. A hint of spice, and very flavorful. Would of been even better if they provided more toasted sourdough to finish off the sauce!! Mains: I had seafood pasta as my main and my honey got the Steak a la Parrilla with homemade potatoes (7oz). The seafood pasta was delicious and quite spicy (in the best way). If youre not big on spice, ask them to go light with the chili flakes. The chupe sauce was on point, and exactly what I expected it to taste like (looks like a rose sauce but tastes like a seafood medley cream sauce, DELICIOUS). The only downfall was that our food arrived cold. It s my fault for not saying anything but I hate to be the customer to complain about the temperature of my food! Would of made a major difference if the food came out piping hot! My partner enjoyed the steak a la parrilla dish, but his meal was also cold unfortunately. Overall I rate Nuna 9/10...and would love to go back and try their other dishes! Thank you Nuna for a fabulous night!! xx Chants
I ll be dreaming about the causa, but literally everything we had was good. Can t recommend this place enough, GO!
Chill spot - affordable (spent $60 per person). Food was good - would recommend
Loved it! Had Ceviche with risotto and a delicious rose lychee non alch drink. All if it was delicious. The service was super kind and wonderful. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing culinary experience and I will be back
Have been quite a few times and decided to order from UberEats with the buy one get one promotion. Ordered the pork chaufa and bbq pork, but was extremely disappointed. Looks like the portions were downsized significantly, so BOGO promo feels misleading.
Amazing food! The portions are so good for sharing and price is so reasonable. I like that they explain the food and ingredients. The service is excepcional! I would recommed the place for date night and group of friends. Will be back !
-Nuna Ceviche -Shrimp Risotto * -BBQ Pork * -Pan Seared Salmon & Pesto Gnocchi -Lucuma Tres Leches Cake *
The food is so good, the attention and atmosphere there is really really great. I m recommend 100% this restaurant
Compliment for the chef , the food was very tasty. The only service was a little disapointet..We waited a long time twice for the drinks to be served.
They had incredible food and service and then there was a paint demonstration where everyone got to keep their own painting they made that day! Plus a ton of prizes and a live DJ! Never would have thought I would get this quality if experience
The ceviche was incredible!
We made an early dinner reservation and were the first people at the restaurant. It was very hot and humid inside, I dont think they turned the AC on until after we arrived. However, the menu was great and our meal was delicious. Unfortunately, they didnt have the tres leches dessert ready yet either, it would have been another wait after we finished our dinner. The place is super cute, staff is friendly and the food was great. Feedback would be to be prepared for guests for opening time.
Def one of the best restaurant I ve been to in a long time.
20/10 experience. From start to finish - everything was phenomenal. The cocktails were interesting and unique- we tried 4 different ones. The oysters and minionette - fresh and delicious- so good that we ordered them twice. We needed another round. Appetizers and mains were amazing. We finished the shrimp risotto and instantly ordered one to go because we loved it to much. THANK YOU.
Four kinds of Pisco sours 4/4
highly recommend very good food, prompt service Food
Atmosphere was good and service was nice. However, some of the dishes were wayyy too salty for all of us, especially the shrimps. We got the octopus & corn balls as the appetizer and both were really good. However, the main dishes shrimp risotto and seafood pasta were very salty. The flavour was good but the salt was very overpowering, it s disappointing. We had high expectation and felt like if the food were not as salty they would ve been perfect.
Went here for a birthday party. We were out on the back patio, which was a nice surprise tucked away in the back. Got the bbq pork, and the shrimp appetizer. Both were amazing. The best part was the tres leches cake at the end! Simply delicious!
Food was amazing and sooo reasonably priced. It is so rare nowadays when I feel like the bill is wrong because it was less than I expected. The spicy margarita is fire and the steak/oysters perfection combo!!
We were warmly greeted and passed through the stifling main dining room to a very pleasant back patio. Service was pleasant but included several periods where we waited too long for dishes or the bill. We enjoyed the refreshing Nuna Spritz and the dramatically presented Old Toronto from the signature cocktails list. The calamari (a menu supplement) was outstanding. Perfectly breaded and fried and served with a surprisingly effective dill dip. The beef anticuchos were very tasty, as were the potatoes and accompanying chilis. However, they arrived at room temperature, which was disappointing. The pan seared salmon was dry and uninspired, although the accompanying pesto gnocchi, confit tomatoes and asparagus were delicious. With attention to a few details, Nuna Kitchen & Bar could easily earn 5 stars. Were very likely to visit again.
Delicious !
THIS is how you do a vegan version of a meat large plate. Their BBQ tofu was perfectly braised and so flavourful! Loved every bite. Mango mocktail was yum and not too sweet. Cute vibe, would return. Vegetarian options: BBQ Tofu
Amazing patio with a nice and cozy ambiance. The fresh oysters were delightful, but the corn fritter wasn t to my taste. The tres leches was the second best I ve ever had! However, the waitress s comment about our dessert timing made us uncomfortable. The cocktail was just okay.
What an amazing experience! Service was incredible, such a friendly waitress. The food was unreal! Everything we had was amazing, I cannot recommend this place enough!
Such amazing hosts for our large party of 25! They went above and beyond with customized menus and a beautiful patio space. Our guests were all so impressed with this dishes, especially the steak, octopus and tiradito. Jazmin, the owner was very responsive and great to work with.
This is not peruvian food, avocado in the tiradito?? what the and portions are extremely small if you consider the high prices. Update August 2024: The owner has the nerve to tell ME to research about Peruvian cuisine when I am Peruvian, this is ridiculous. They don t even know how to answer a customer s complaint.
I started to love Peruvian food from dinning here
Visited Nuna for a second time and it did not disappoint the food was just as delicious and flavourful as I had remembered it to be! We didn t catch our servers name but they were so energetic and lovely and they gave us the best drink recommendations. Came here for the shrimp risotto again (highly recommend) but the octopus anticuchero was the star of the show Already looking forward to my next visit. P.S. They have the cutest patio space I also highly recommend booking outdoor if you can!
Alolo, this one was the best restaurant that i went in Toronto. I really love it. The environment was perfect, the lights, the music. I went with other two friends and I ate as appetizer Gambas al Ajillo, amazing the taste was very good. My first dish was Gnoquis with salmon and pesto sauce, I love those food separately, but i hadnt ever tried all together. I feel fireworks in my mouth. And the vedette was the dessert, Suspiro Limeño. Maybe the best dessert that i ate in all my life. I love it. In addition, waiters attention was unique, all the time helping us. Bria was our waiter. She took our experience to the next level. Y además tenían vinos de mi país! Argentina. Eso estuvo genial. Sin dudas regresaría. Me fascino.
Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp and octopus. Great service and cute secluded patio on Queen W.
The waitress was so sweet! The food was just pure amazing! I would highly recommend the octopus
Lovely waitress with great reccos and very attentive. The back patio is a nice oasis. The ceviche and shrimp were perfectly seasoned. The steak was also a hit with everyone! The pisco cocktails were like a trip back to Peru. Would definitely go back.
Summerlicious menu was fantastic! Shrimp were scrumptious, steak was delectable, drinks were bangin!
Summerlicious was absolutely delicious! Big portions, great price and awesome service. Our server was a sweetheart and we had a great experience. I want to come back again before Summerlicious is over. Thank you!
Our first visit to Nuna. Tried their Toronto Summerlicious tasting menue. Portions were generous for a Summerlicios. The place was cozy and service excellent. Everything was incredibly delicious. Pisco Sour with Chicha Morada was a hit. Desserts Lucuma Tres Leches and Peruvian Flan were heavenly. Well be back for sure!!
Hidden gem with a very nice patio, excellent food
Delicious food! We love peruvian and this was so well prepared and full of flavor!
Good Peruvian food and delicious cocktails. The patio is very nice and the staff are friendly, they engage well with the diners. Ordered the Tiradito which unfortunately was not sliced well. The sashimi grouper was in weird, big chunks that can t be described as sashimi. Each slice was different from the next and the fish wasn t properly sliced at all. Same thing happened with the ceviche. The meal turned around with the grilled shrimp and octopus anticuchero. Those were the best dishes, so delicious and paired super well with the sauces. Definitely recommend trying those two! I would come back to try more dishes and more cocktails.
Follow @bredgyeats for yummy food pictures! A beautifully cooked, tender octopus thats finished off with an intense sear to impart a delicious, smoky char. The cauliflower puree is smooth, creamy and provides a refreshing tang that compliments the strong umami flavour of the octopus. The slight crunch and acidity provided by the chalaquita salsa is equally refreshing.
Went to Nuna for girls night with my friends and it was the best Peruvian restaurant I ve ever been to. By far. PHENOMENAL! Laura is such a nice server and so friendly, she explained every dish during every course, and speaking spanish was definitely a plus! Will definitely be back and bring all my friends!
Authentic Peruvian with excellent service and drinks!
Sensational! Freakin wow. The ceviche and tres leches are MUST HAVES
We had a reservation at the bar to watch the peru vs chile game for 7:45 and we specifically asked in our reservation for seats with a view of the tv. They didn t keep our reservation and only sat us at 8:15. The seats they sat us did not have a good view of the screen and instead we could only look at the back of people s heads. We decided to go next door so we could actually watch the game and enjoy ourselves. It s a shame too because the food looked good. First and last experience here.
I made a reservation for my husbands bday. i had heard this being a great place, yet I could not experience or identify myself with those who raved about this place. We were acknowledged 15m after arrrival, I was not privided with a menu rather i had to request one. 30 minutes sitting at the table and not one approached us. We decided to walk out. I personally wouldnoty give this place a second chance because o a lack of variety and, most importantly, no customer service.
The restaurant was busy, and we understand that! Good food, service a little slow but a lot of fun!
Chic place for a drink or bite. They have lots of different specials throughout the week as well as a happy hour ($2 off cocktails). I enjoyed the wedge salad (recommend) but unfortunately my steak was over done (order medium rare), but besides that it was an enjoyable experience and I ll give it another shot.
Best restaurant in the city. Maybe all of Canada, definitely deserves a Michelin star.
Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Food is good but very basic Peruvian.
Absolutely amazing food and experience. We went here to celebrate my wife s birthday with my family, out host Shawnna was so friendly and helpful. Made our little celebration x10 better!
I have recently been so disappointed with the food I eat on Uber eats. I tried this place for the first time because it had fine dining prices and I was looking forward to a good meal. I have also walked past this restaurant a bunch of times but never gave it a try. I ordered this on Uber eats and paid nearly 60$ for their olive octopus and tuna tartare. The way this was packaged was a disaster. The crostini arrived soaked and soggy in the olive sauce that was in a container that melts and is not leakproof. The tartare arrived the same way. Very disappointing when you are paying premium prices on Uber eats. I would consider changing your packaging for delivery meals. Just to add, I live right around the corner. This was a 5 minute delivery.
I had ceviche at Nuna Bar yesterday, and it was the best Ive had in Toronto so far. The flavors were spot on and the ingredients were super fresh. The place has a cozy vibe, and the music made it a great spot to hang out with friends. Definitely worth a visit if youre in the area!
The food is delicious, the service is really good, it s really quaint and sweet. Must try!
Love this little hidden gem in Parkdale. With an amazing back patio, and super fresh and authentic food, I keep coming back and have enjoyed it more every time.
Great food, customer service and vibes. It was my first time trying Peruvian food and I was so impressed by everything I tried. I unfortunately do not have a photo of the ceviche but it was by far my favourite thing on the menu. Everything else was just as delicious!
We got the shrimp bites, wedge salad, octopus al olivo, and corn fritters. The shrimp bites were awful and a really bad way to start off our meal. I was actually getting nervous that the rest of our dishes were going to be the same calibre. The shrimp was overcooked and under seasoned. The vermicelli noodles added zero flavour and unnecessary crunch given the shrimp is already breaded. It was just a bad dish and they should honestly take it off the menu. The rest of the food however is a 5/5. We got the wedge salad next which was dressed perfectly and had great crunch. The octopus al olivo was perfect. The octopus was thinly cut yet still perfectly cooked. The sauce was so good that we asked for extra crostinis so we could finish it. The corn fritters had a lovely texture, slight crunch but dense inside and pairs nicely with the slightly sour yogurt and sweet chutney. I would definitely come again. I would ve also given them a 5 if it weren t for the shrimp bites. I would recommend to anyone to give this place a try!
Great place to eat. The food was phenomenal and the service was amazing shout out to Shawnna for being awesome. Will definitely be coming back! Food
Went here for dinner, the food was delicious and good sized portions. The drinks was great to go along with the great service
Great food and friendly service.
Food and drinks were delicious!
10/10 Nuna Ceviche was perfect, the octopus appetizer was also delicious, very heavy on olives. And the shrimp risotto was very flavorful and was perfect with the cold appetizers. Don t recommend the tres leches cake. Way too sweet.
The dessert (some milk soaked cake) was absolutely amazing. Everything else was ok.
Went here for a birthday and had an amazing experience! We had the duck, ceviche, tuna tartar, grilled octopus, and the shrimp pasta. Each dish had amazing flavours and were really fresh. The food was top notch with great service. I will definitely be going back.
came for the $1 oyster special! great food and nice staff
we came here on Friday evening, the food was delicious! Also Shawna was our server and she absolutely made our night! Can t wait to return for the amazing food & service :)
Yummy food and delicious drinks . Really enjoyed the grapefruit fields and the chicha. Would highly recommend
We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. There were six of us and we all enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was cozy and inviting. We tried different dishes and they were all well-prepared and flavorful. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
Been here twice now and impressed each time. The food is delicious, atmosphere is cozy, and if you ask the owners here to explain more about the cuisine and culture, you will appreciate it even more! Full video on IG.
This place is amazing! On Wednesday, they have $1 oysters and happy hour every day from 5pm- 7pm. The pisco sour was incredible and the tres Leches too!
Excellent restaurant with very good food and service. I have eaten in many Peruvian restaurants and can say the ceviche here is well done. Highly recommended especially if you are looking for a chill atmosphere. Special mention to the croquettes!
Cozy neighborhood spot for some great food. Some favorites were the pork belly puree, the duck risotto and the ceviche. The staff was quite nice too. Would recommend ideally for groups of 2-4.
Went for winterlicious menu. I had the beef appetizer which was my favorite. The steak main was also really good and my friend had the seafood pasta which was yummy. The tres leches dessert was good, and the caramel mango one was okay but a bit too sweet. Our server was really good and overall I really enjoyed this place.
We had the Civeche, the Tiraducio, the corn fritters and the duck with risotto. The civiche was one of the best Ive had ever. The rest was mediocre and frankly overpriced. Staff are friendly, vibe is nice. Would not return, but had a great evening.
A friend and I went here for Winterlicious dinner ($55/person). Great atmosphere and food, and super friendly staff. What we ordered: (see photos) + Beef Anticucho + Shrimp Bites + Seafood Pasta + Steak a la Parrilla + Mango Suspiro Limeno + Lucuma Tres Leches My only suggestion with the food is for the steak a la parrilla. I ordered the steak medium-rare. I would have liked the steak to be seared more on the outside. Otherwise, it was great! As for the dessert, my friend did say that the mango suspiro limeno was quite sweet. It tasted more condensed milk than mango. Overall, great place to go for dinner.
I found Nuna during winterlicious last year and it has remained one of my favourite restaurants. I think Ive gone 20 times by now, the staff are so friendly and the food is always amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND the duck, salmon, corn fritters, ceviche, croquettes, and the lucuma tres leches cake!!
Food was amazing. Service and cocktails could be better but we had a good time. I recommend the tres leches dessert.
I had such a great steak from the winterlicious menu. Its been great and juicy. Perks to the chef because Ive had bites that only exploded with flavors, making it a great experience for the cause. Shawna was our server, and she didnt disappoint either! All I could say is that Im looking for the date I am coming back for more!
The food is delicious and portion sizes are great! Doesnt seem like an authentic peruvisn restaurant but doesnt matter when the food is so good. The Peruvian cocktails are also worth having.
We did the winterlicious lunch menu, and I have to say everything we tried was delicious, interesting (nothing too predictable), and nicely plated. The portions were also quite generous, especially for a lunch! The drinks are also great, with a several nonalcoholic options that are a step above the usual forgettable fare. Between the four of us we tried the corn fritters, wedge salad, and the croquettes to start, for mains-the pork belly and seafood pasta, and for dessert the tres leches cake and the traditional Lima dessert, and every single one of these dishes was well-crafted and tasty. The pork belly with fried rice was probably the standout, for me: belly made to perfection, crisp and caramelized on the outside and juicy tender inside, and the fried rice a nice balance of flavours, with plenty of crunchy and fresh bits for interest. The très leches dessert was absolutely divine, too! It was a great introduction to the restaurant, lm looking forward to coming back and sampling the full menu.
I would have to say this place is definitely worth the visit. I ordered the steak during the winterlicious event and I found it good. I didn t like that it was served in a bow like plate and that it had a vinegar like sauce. The steak was soft but should ve made it less vinegar. The meat on its own was delicious. The service was fantastic though and atmosphere was great.
The seafood pasta live in my dreams now! So good! The atmosphere is great and the service was very kind. A lady from Peru received our orders and had a little chat with us about her hometown. So special! I hope to come back very soon :)
This was my first time at Nuna and it didnt disappoint. Food was delicious and the drinks were great too. Nice to see pisco cocktails besides pisco sour in the menu. Great atmosphere and service. Im definitely going back.
Went to Nuna for the first time and had such a great time. The food was amazing!! Had the ceviche and risotto and it was delicious! Shaunna provided the service and she was absolutely fantastic - so warm and welcoming and just brought a smile to our face definitely recommend this place.
Went with a party of 10 to celebrate my birthday and had such a good time. The food was AMAZING, everyone can t stop talking about how good everything was. And the pisco sour is a must! The staff was also so accommodating and kind. I can t wait to go back.
Winterlicious 2024. I came here for lunch and I quite enjoyed my experience. It s on the pricier end, but the food was tasty and flavourful and the portions were generous. I got the Yuca Croquettes for the appetizer and I really liked them! The huancaina sauce was great it was mildly spicy and added a bit of a kick. The Pork Belly Chaufa was amazing too. The fried rice was packed with flavour and the pork belly was so good! It had just the right amount of fattiness. I also tried my friend s Seafood Pasta, which was nice and creamy! The Mango Suspiro Limeno was much too sweet for me, and bordered on tasting like pure syrup. I realize that it s *supposed* to be quite sweet, but I thought it was overwhelming. I personally don t have a huge sweet tooth either, so this ended up being my least favourite dish. I tried my friend s Lucuma Tres Leches though, which I really enjoyed and would consider ordering next time. Im terms of drinks, I went on a Sunday and they had $8 mimosas. I got the passionfruit flavour and my friends got the mango, and they were decent. Nothing to write home about, but not bad. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience and I left feeling quite full! I would definitely come back again.
Brilliant food, good cocktails, attentive service. Nuna was super busy during winterlicious but that didn t create any issue in how we were served during Dinner. Some of my personal favourites are shrimp bites, beef anticucho, seafood pasta, tres leches. Highly recommend dining here, may be go in a bigger group to try more dishes
Weve been to a number of great restaurants lately, but this was something else! Every bite was perfection. We had fritters, croquettes, anticuchos, wedge salad, octopus and olives, pork, salmon and duck. Cocktails were excellent, sevice outstanding. We finished with amazing lemon pie.
Amazing place! Exceeded expectations. Great service and dish presentation. Not to mention it was super delicious. Awesome spot!
Had the pleasure of sitting out in the patio, which was so charming! The food was fantastic. We were blown away by our entrees and the dessert. Our server was great and helped us pick great items off the menu. Will make sure to come back next time I m in Toronto!
Great dinner spot! We had a birthday celebration last night and loved our service from Shawnna, she made our night so special. Thank you! Highly recommend the croquettes, chicken wings, shrimp risotto and the lima!
Dropped by for dinner on Saturday. Ceviche was mostly fish, not much octopus and didnt seem too fresh. Shrimp pasta, octopus, pork belly and ribeye were all pretty good Service was great, will definitely come back again 7.5/10
A small restaurant located in Parkdale serving Peruvian food. I was really in the mood for ceviche, so I was looking for a restaurant and ended up finding Nuna. Recommend making a reservation, especially on a weekend since space is limited. The server was good at describing and recommending plates, so we ended up ordering the following to share: Nuna Ceviche Yuca Croquettes Beef Anticuchos Pork Belly The ceviche was delicious, but the beef anticuchos were amazing. I don t know how they make their potatoes in that dish, but it definitely memorable. The drinks were also good.. ended up trying the espresso niska and their signature drink, pisco sour. We ended up waiting longer than usual for the larger plate, the pork belly. It just seemed like it had been forgotten, which it was. All the other plates came out at a good time, but the server came to check on up asking if we wanted dessert but we mentioned we hadn t gotten our large plate yet. Every dish that we tried was really good. I would definitely return to try other items.
I had a reservation for two at this restaurant on a weekend evening. We got drinks as well as apps to share. The servers owners and the bartender were all very kind. We enjoyed our holiday drink as well as the deep fried cheese stuffed cassava croquettes. I liked that it wasnt too salty. Prices are not cheap but are reasonable for a mid-range establishment. Washrooms are on the ground floor, which is nice. The restaurant was well decorated for the holiday season and felt very cozy. I recommend if you would like to try Peruvian food and if youre in the Dundas West area.
We were dining yesterday. Im a picky eater in general but Everything we ordered was very good. I think we going to be your regular. Oysters were good size, drink with orange peel was well made. Sea food pasta was also delicious. Waitress Adrianna was very polite. Thank you
I think this place is a solid 4. The food was good but nothing spectacular; same with the drinks. Our server was great though, very friendly and energetic. The place was pretty empty in a Friday night but it could have been due to the snow storm that day. Overall, I don t regret coming here but I probably won t come back just because there was nothing that wowed me.
We got the pork and octopus for our entrees, both were pretty good! The pork was a little sweet for my taste but overall a nice experience! Worth visiting for sure :)
The food was absolutely fantastic! The ceviche was really good, and the shrimp sliders were also really great. I also tried the octopus de olivo which was also terrific. Overall everything I tried was fantastic. The service was also incredibly kind and friendly. The restaurant is pretty small, so its probably a good idea to book a reservation. You can do it pretty easily on their website, but its definitely worth trying! First time having Peruvian food and it was great!
Been here twice now and both times the food and service were great! I definitely recommend trying octopus and ceviche here.
The BBQ pork was 90% fat, the dish itself was well prepared and it was delicious but the meat portion wasnt comparable to other Peruvian restaurants. But the dish itself wasnt what I expected. The ceviche was authentic. The yuca croquettes were good but needed a little more sauce. The beef anticuhos had a nice flavour but I found the meat chewy and almost blue. The seafood pasta was really good. The tuna tartare was really good. The fish was perfect and tender. Better than most places I have had it at.
Nuna exceeded my expectations! The staff is incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Nuna ceviche is a must-try; its undoubtedly the best Peruvian ceviche in Toronto. The shrimp risotto is a flavorful delight, and the Lucuma Tree Leches dessert is the perfect sweet finish. A fantastic dining experience. Highly recommended!
Great value for Toronto. So many places charge $30+ for risotto and we got a really fantastic one for $25. Beyond that, compared to a lot of places on Queen west, the prices were lower and the food was better.
Came here for mothers day dinner. Amazing food! Amazing staff! Chef came out multiple times to check on us and explain the flavours. Our server was incredible and engaging! This place is a must try!
Fantastic this tiny peruvian restaurant is already in my heart ! Nice dishes , the ceviche is superB and the octopus omg !!! Everyone should try ! And the drink s another level !! I taster so far the best old fashioned in Toronto !
Incredible food, great service and such a nice experience. Can t wait to come back
I had high expectations of this restaurant due to its active social media PR. The ambience was alright although a little too dark for me. We also ended up with high chair tables which was not my preference, especially for a reservation made weeks in advance. For drinks we had the Grapefruit fields which was really nice. The old toronto came with a dramatic smokey presentation and was also good although in a smaller cup. we also had a mango based drink which was okay. For food, the shrimp sliders were the stars of the show. The tuna tartare was also good as well as the pork loins. We had expectations of the lomo saltado because we like steak and were also convinced to order it as it was the most authentic Peruvian dish of all the mains. The steak was too chewy otherwise it was okay. The brownie dessert was also too chewy. Overall it was alright
Fantastic experience at Nuna. Friendly staff and had such great recommendations. We tried the Nuna ceviche, octopus and gnocchi. We absolutely loved the gnocchi, really great flavour and texture. Definitely interested in coming back to try more.
3.8/5 Having heard about the popularity of Nuna Peruvian Restaurant, I was intrigued to give it a try. To my surprise, when I visited on a Sunday, the place was completely empty. However, I later learned that the previous day had been incredibly busy, resulting in them running out of the one dish I was eager to try - the renowned ceviche, Perus national dish. The restaurant boasts a lovely patio, providing a pleasant outdoor dining experience. The waitress attending to our table was friendly and attentive, ensuring a positive initial impression. The food arrived at a decent pace, indicating efficient kitchen operations. We sampled a variety of dishes, including yuca fries, oysters, tuna tartare, and octopus with cauliflower puree. Overall, the food at Nuna Peruvian Restaurant was solid, though not particularly mind-blowing. The tuna tartare stood out with its delightful smoky spice, complemented by the creamy texture of avocados and perfectly toasted crostini. The flavors harmonized beautifully, showcasing a well-executed dish. The oysters were fresh and accompanied by a refreshing mignonette sauce. To our surprise, we received an extra oyster by accident, a small but pleasant bonus that enhanced the dining experience. The octopus dish featured tender pieces of octopus paired with a fresh salsa and a creamy cauliflower puree. The char on the whole cauliflower added an extra layer of depth and flavor, elevating the dish to a satisfying level. Unfortunately, the yuca fries did not live up to expectations. They lacked flavor and were unevenly cut, resulting in inconsistent cooking. Some pieces were undercooked, which affected their overall appeal and diminished the dining experience. Considering all aspects of the meal, I would rate Nuna Peruvian Restaurant at 3.8 out of 5. While the dishes showcased potential, particularly the well-balanced tuna tartare and flavorful octopus, some areas fell short. It is worth noting that during my visit, I observed only one cook in the kitchen, despite the restaurant being relatively empty. This may have contributed to the lack of consistency. However, I would consider returning if a craving for Peruvian cuisine arises, as Nuna Peruvian Restaurant has the potential to excel with further improvements.
Very good restaurant. Excellent service
Had a lovely birthday dinner here - the shrimp risotto, yuca fries, and shrimp sliders were delicious!
One of the loveliest dining experiences! Friendly staff, awesome vibe with live band on Saturdays, great cocktail (highly recommend old toronto - whiskey base), and of course the tuna tartare. Rate it a five out of five without a doubt, would definitely come back to try more.
I cannot begin to explain how good this place is overall. Starting from food to service and the ambience. Top notch! 5 stars would be an under rating. Lovely hosts! Please do try the shrimp rissotto. My personal fave.
Everything we ate and drank was very tasty, service was great, and there was live music!
Do yourself a favor and dont order the BBQ ribs. The portion doesnt match the price. Theres nothing I hate the most leaving hungry from a restaurant where you paid for EXPENSIVE food.
Amazing! Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend
Great service and food
Delicious food and the service was excellent. Peruvian taste really good!
slow service, kinda short of staff, the decoration is nice and chic but it s very hot inside and definitely needs AC. A lot of bugs flying around. The server is very sweet and nice though. *nanu ceviche* (waited almost half an hour for a very simple app) not very impressed with the plating. It looks like 3 different sides and it does taste like 3 different sides. The texture does not go well together. As that chuck of sweet potato is just there hanging out, sweet and mushy. It doesn t go well with the ceviche. And what are the corn kernels doing there on the side? It s too hard to bite into. I have no problem with the ingredients used here, but there are so many ways to elevate traditional ingredients with different techniques and this dish did not serve what is supposed to be served. Might as well change it into something like fried fish skins or chop it into smaller pieces and mix it with the ceviche.. and the onions are not sliced very evenly, using a mandolin would help. except for 3 kinds of texture that doesn t go together the seasoning is also very imbalanced, the flavor is very monotonous, lime juice overpowering everything and hint of heat brought by the chili is not very consistent. maybe try pickle the onions with the chili. *duck risotto* Again, the plating is a big problem. It has the juice from the duck flowing around the black plate with bits of the sauces in there. Doesn t look very appetizing, and the consistency is too runny and the choice of rice is not very wise because it tastes too loose and it s more like a chowder rather than risotto. And the usage of pickles of onions is getting repetitive now. if you want to add more textures might as well just deep fried it. the duck is the dish s only redeeming quality, it s soft and tender but a little bit under seasoned and they also didn t brown the skin so it tastes a bit boring and not crispy at all. The risotto is also too sour, and have very simple ingredients like peas and carrots which tasted soggy. Changing the name would help because the the Peruvian way of cooking duck and rice is very different from DUCK CONFIT and RISOTTO I expect. *peruvian flan* I don t know if Peruvian flan is different from other flan flans, but the texture is very firm and dense instead of silky and smooth. The caramel sauce is not bad but does not have any wow factor. In general, it s very overpriced and the execution and design behind the menu is not worth $55
I came here to try out the Summerlicious Dinner menu, and I was pleasantly delighted. It was my first try having peruvian food and id bet outside out of Peru and the homecooked food of the peruvian tias in toronto, this is an amazing first for me!! I had the nuna ceviche and its criminal that a cold dish contains so much flavour (spicy, sweet, salty, sour) and texture 10/10. I also had the bbq pork which was a great balance of soft, chewy, and rich flavours! the peruvian flan was a silky smooth end to an excellent meal. I opted to eat outside in their back patio and i found it to be extremely cute and offered a secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle of queen street! service was a bit slow because there was only one server present but she was so friendly, helpful, and extremely gracious too.
A nice place with very tasty food! This time I ate delicious rice with duck and shrimp risotto I would recommend ordering that accompanied by pisco sour, a Peruvian drink. In theory, everything is very tasty
I love!! Nuna is a great place to enjoy Peruvian fusion cuisine. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming. I highly recommend to go to Nuna Kirchen and Bar restaurants! The food always is great, tasty, and delicious.
One of my favorite spots in Toronto! Delicious food and high quality drinks. The shrimp sliders and gnocchi our one of my favorites. Totally must try!
Came here for the summerlicious menu and I m really glad we got to try a variety of dishes because of it! Everything was good but honestly there was something missing. Flavours could ve been amped up a bit more. Ceviche was good, variety of flavours and textures. Oysters were delicious but were tiny and lacked in quantity. The salmon gnocchi was great! Gnocchi was fluffy and delicious, salmon was cooked to silky perfection, but the pesto sauce was not striking in flavour whatsoever. As for the desserts, they were definitely the stars of the show! Loved the flan, the caramel was rich and sweet. Overall good experience!
Had their summerlicious menu and it was fantastic. Started off with the ceviche which was very refreshing with all sorts of texture and flavors. Main course was duck risotto. They use a duck leg. The skin could be a bit crisper and the duck less fatty. The risotto was also a bit undercooked and salty. But overall good flavors. For dessert I had the tres leches cake which was fantastic! Very creamy, milky and right amount of sweetness. For drinks, I ordered the grapefruit field cocktail. Good balance of sweetness and alcohol bitterness.
An unassuming but delicious Peruvian restaurant on Queen! The space is small and the experience is casual, but the food is great! Also very well priced.
Came here for summerlicious dinner. First impression, the place is smaller than expected and the kitchen was open, so the whole place is a bit warm and smells like the kitchen. We had a reservation and managed to get a seat by the window, and they were able to fulfill my request for a birthday surprise so it was very pleasant on that end! The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the menus too. We got their ceviche for appetizer. It was very refreshing and the octopus was so tender! Definitely a great starters. For mains, we ordered the salmon pesto gnocchi and octopus. The octopus was soo good, I d prefer this one over the salmon. It s so creamy and tender. The salmon kind of overpowers the pesto flavour, but the dish itself was still good overall. For dessert, we got their flan and it was such a great finish to our dining experience. We also got cocktail on the side. A bit disappointed with the lovers affair as I expected negroni but it had too much syrup in it. The Carnaval was great tho! Fizzly, sweet, and refreshing. Overall will probably come back to try their other dishes :)
I found new favourite Peruvian restaurant! My friends and I came here for summerlicious and it was delicious! We dined in the patio. It was nice outside so no complaints. Just watch out for the wasp if it s still there but it didn t ruin our experience. Service was a little slow but it s probably because the food was made fresh. I did notice that we were the first ones there but got our food much after everyone else. Did we order that much later? I m not sure.. The food was delicious though! Appetizers Corn Fritters: a little doughy chew texture with some slight sweetness. I like this for a quick bite Oysters: it was much smaller than I thought. I believe they are malpeque. Nuna Ceviche: this was my fav if you like seafood. It was refreshing! Mains Duck Risotto: not my most favourite dish but I do like the duck. the skin of the duck was crispy and it s was a bigger piece than I thought. The Risotto was too filling and they gave a lot. It was a bit bland dish overall. I personally don t like risotto so this is my bias opinion. Pork Belly: wow this was so tender and just melts in your mouth. It was well roasted. Very flavourful. Octopus Anticuchero: We had the option to try this as well! It was so good. The octopus was tender - how do you get octopus this tender? Desserts We tried all the desserts and they were all good! My favourite was the Tres Leches Cake. It was not too sweet. Drinks: we tried all of the Pisco Cocktails and it was all good. The Pisco doesn t taste very strong in the drinks. The espresso Niska was good too if you like espresso martinis!
Simmerlious dishes are fabulous but have to say, they are all quite small. (Normal portion are all really small too! And quite pricey) We also ordered with a main of Octopus Anticuchero. Cocktail: Pisco Sour - VERY small quantity Summerlious contains 3 course, appetizers, main and dessert 1. Appetizer: Nuna Ceviche - 4 2. Main: BBQ Pork - 5 3. Dessert: Lucuma Tres Leches Cake - 5 + Extra main on the side: - Octopus Anticuchero - 5 - Cocktail: Pisco Sour - 3 BUT, Service was really bad, we waited for almost an hour to get our appetizer
Being born and raise in latin America, and then finding this hidden treasure is amazing! The food is authentic, the flavours reminds me of my roots, definitely is a great experience coming always here, will totally recommend it!
Food was definitely delicious. The service though was crazy slow. More than 2h for a 3 course dinner with only 1 round of drinks. Definitely do not visit with someone you dont like . Food : 5/5
Really great food & drinks!! However the service was incredibly slow & it was so hot dining inside
Oh my god, we went with 4 people for summerlicious and there is NO way we will not be back. The food was so beyond good, I almost want to come back again tomorrow to catch the last day. We got the $41 lunch, and got to try everything save the seasonal salad. The shrimp sliders were a HUGE hit, so delicious, excellently cooked and seasoned, even the bun was amazing. We also had the croquettes which were cheesy and so yummy. The serving sizes for most things were quite small but enough for a full course! For entrees we had the salmon gnocchi (we were surprised to see its a full filet of fish atop the pasta), the pork belly and chaufa (GET IT, you will not be disappointed), and the shrimp risotto (the smallest entree, but ultra creamy with four large shrimps). Everything was amazing. Dessert we had the tres leches, flan and lemon pie, all of which were not too sweet, balanced and a perfect end. I cant express how wonderful of a meal it was. The only downside was how hot the patio was, theres very little breeze but thats beyond their control! The service was impeccable! Jazmin was amazing, so sweet, friendly and checked in at the perfect times. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu, the drinks, and the history of Peruvian food. Im so beyond impressed. Nuna is a new fave for sure.
We tried Nuna for the first time tonight for Summerlicious. Its a new Peruvian restaurant in Parkdale and has been open for around a year, so we were excited to try it. The Summerlicious dinner was 3 courses for $55. I chose oysters, duck with risotto and lucama tres leches cake for dessert. My friend chose ceviche, BBQ pork belly and flan with cider. I had the Carnaval cocktail which was insanely good! Its pisco with raspberry syrup, strawberry and ginger and was really refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. We sat on the back patio and would highly recommend it for the evening because there was a bit of a wasp issue at the back of the patio but once it got darker and cooler, they seemed to disappear. The patio is really cozy decorated with string lights and music coming from the neighbouring bar. The oysters were fresh and delicious but I wish there were more than 2. The ceviche was phenomenal with big chunks of grouper and some squid, a piece of sweet potato and Peruvian corn and onion. The grouper was delicious- meaty and lightly cured from the citrus but very fresh and tastey. The citrus juice was so good and luckily it was served with a spoon to enjoy it all! I ordered the duck and it came on a bed of cilantro risotto sitting on a creamy cheesey huancaina sauce , it was really tastey but my friends BBQ pork belly was our favourite. The bbq pork belly was so tender and melted in your mouth, perfectly crusted and with the best sweet and tangy bbq sauce. It was served on a sweet potato puree with bok choy and daikon radish- we coudlnt get enough! The lucama tres leches cake was super moist sitting in an evaporated milk concoction with shaved chocolate- super, super rich. The flan was equally delicious, a smaller portion but denser than a typical flan with a super flavourful strong caramel sauce. The servers were very friendly although we did have a couple lengthier waits to get their attention for a water refill and finally to get our bill, but otherwise a perfect evening and we will absolutely be back. A great addition to the neighbourhood and an awesome little secret gem to impress on your next date. Dietary restrictions: There are options for vegetarian and gluten-free.
Absolutely loved the food here, the seafood tasted so fresh. Highly recommend the ceviche and oysters. Went for summerlicious so unsure if the lemon tart is available but it was so good. Had the tres leches as well and was moist and delicious. Food
Came here to try their summerlicious lunch menu! Croquettes were good but I wish they had a non vegetarian option. I feel like if there was some type of meat inside it would taste so good! Shrimp Risotto was absolutely amazing! Super creamy and flavour combination was perfect! Ended off with the Peruvian flan which I really loved! Overall I d come back here again, and can t wait to try more of their food!
It was a pleasant experience. The food was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try a bit of Peruvian food, perfect fusion. Thank you for the great service!
Visited during summerlicious and had a great time. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious.
Went for summerlicious, food was so-so. Had the pork, which was dry and lacked gravy. The flan was quite good and their cocktails were also yum. They seemed under staffed and overwhelmed.
Tried the Summerlicious menu! Got the Corn balls, Ceviche, Duck risotto, Pork Belly, Lemon pie, Crème Leches and Flan for dessert. Food was so delicious, great staff, and vibes. Recommend making reservations!
Everything we tried was amazing! Will come back
Food was EXCELLENT and fairly portioned (although on the smaller side - but this was expected). Apps were kind of cold, we could tell they d been pre-made but we re still very yummy. The risotto and the fish were to die for. I don t know what they did to the tomato s that came with the salmon, but it melted in your mouth and was overall very flavourful. Highly recommend! Service was also excellent :)
Food was great and the service was also very good. Definitely get the croquettes and the octopus and Tres Leches for dessert
Peruvian food may not be someones first choice, but Nuna will change your mind about that. The food, the atmosphere, and the service is absolutely A1, and I think anyone can find something to love about it. The ceviche is unbelievable with large chunks of shrimp, the octopus, and the short rib gnocchi is delicious. Dont forget to pair the food with the drinks they have on the menu and youre in for an incredible time.
Menu changed a lot .. lomo Saltado first of all had no rice and the potatoes just weren t it. For $80 you get a skinny piece of steak and potatoes. I don t think it s worth it for the price at all
Who in their right mind would pay $80 for lomo saltado. Look at the pics, its the same size as anywhere else that has it for $30
Best lomo, thank you Nuna
Nuna is absolutely fantastic. My husband and I planned our wedding rehearsal dinner at Nuna for the evening before our wedding. Jazmin was absolutely incredible to work with and created a perfect occasion for us. Our guests were absolutely raving about how incredible the food was and how spectacular the ambience was. It was completely and absolutely perfect. We cant wait to come back and remember the special night every time we enjoy Nunas amazing food, cocktails, and wonderful staff. Thank you Jazmin and team so such a wonderful evening! Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie and vegan options available. Dietary restrictions: We had an extremely challenging group with a huge number of dietary restrictions. Nuna worked really hard to accommodate everyone and made sure everyone had a delicious meal! Kid-friendliness: Nuna make special kid-friendly meals for my young nephews. They are super picky eaters!
Awesome food. Great vibe and environment. I like overall food starters were really good. Love to come back again
Almost ordered the entire menu while here. Amongst 6 of us, we had the oysters, croquetes, corn fritters, tiradito and nuna ceviche. Definitely enjoyed the Tiradito and Nuna Ceviche and would order that several times as it was super refreshing. For the mains we ordered the Octopus which in my opinion is their best dish and a must order. The shrimp risotto and pan seared salmon were great too but the highlights here were the grouper fish dishes and the Octopus. Live DJ is great, but I do wish more people would visit this spot. Needs more of a lively atmosphere!
Wonderful experience at this Peruvian restaurant. We ordered the pan seared salmon and grilled octopus which were cooked to perfection. Also ordered the oysters as the appetizer and they were so delicious and fresh. Kudos to the bartender...cocktails were wonderful....the Toronto cocktail is a must try!
Cozy cute location.. Great smoked cocktails. Octopus was delicious. Hostess was super nice. Food
Such a lovely place!
This place is amazing, a gem to visit while in downtown Toronto. Their food is spectacular, and desserts are off the charts. Would recommend the octopus, marinated with authentic peruvian spices and grilled to perfection. I would also recommend the shrimp risotto with a peruvian touch, the peruvian yellow pepper gives to it an amazing flavor, a must to try, and to end it with the cherry on top, try the lucuma 3 leches... it will blow your taste buds.... the Service is fantastic.... as a constructive criticism.... I was looking forward to listening to some peruvian music, I think it would add a very special touch, other than that.. please keep up the good work!!
The food have excellent taste, like I was in Peru .
The food is nice but the server didn t even tell me they will charge for birthday cake fees $25 at the beginning when I bring the cake to him. It s so unprofessional. He should tell me earlier Instead of charge us at the bills after. I feel so upset and feeling be cheated! I would like an refund for the cake fees from the restaurant! This experience makes me emotional damage!
Everyone must try Peruvian ceviche and Pisco sours from Nuna, representing South Americas best food well!
Very quite for a friday night, ceviche was ok. There was no dj mayb because its only for summer. Service was fast considering we were the only one there at 930pm.
Best spot for Peruvian dishes, love the ambience and music, octopus it s amazing!
Delicious food - if youre thinking of coming here, do it! You wont regret it. Staff super friendly and restaurant is small but can accommodate a large party and itll almost be like having the whole place for your party! The drinks are great too! Highly recommend the octopus and the shrimp risotto
One of my Fav..an excellent Peruvian gem...cozy atmosphere, absolutely amazing dishes with great quality and taste. Highly recommended!
The food alone is worth coming for. Our server was amazing, the vibe is really cool and earthy, and it wasnt crazy busy which is a win. I dont get why people are giving this place a 1 star because of 1 negative thing out of the many positive things. That really hurts this place for NO REASON. Try to understand these guys clearly work hard, care about the food they produce and bringing their culture to Toronto. Its not living giving 1 star to McDonalds who are big enough not to care, a 1 star really affects small business like this who are ACTUALLY work hard to make your experience a good one. Would definitely come back again, no question about it.
Always enjoy Nuna.. - excellent Peruvian cuisine - fantastic customer appreciation - excellent service - always feel welcome The owners try very hard to make your visit a memorable occasion. Lastly parking is nearby. A must try!
My first time having Peruvian food and it was an overall pretty good experience! We ordered the octopus and the pasta. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the pasta was so creamy and rich, it was heavy deliciousness. My only complaint was we had dined in pretty early and it was fairly empty, maybe around 5:30 or 6pm. Despite that, the food took a really long time to arrive. Some other tables received their food before us actually. Im not sure if they forgot about us because we were sitting in the dining room instead of the back patio at the time. Other that that, the food made up for it and the ambiance was lovely!
Highly recommend! Excellent seafood options. Very friendly and welcoming service
This is a nice and quaint restaurant. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The shrimp risotto and the octopus were equally good! Flavours are intense. We recommend trying the flan for dessert. Our server Ethan completed the night. He went above and beyond to make sure we will have a good celebration. T was a night to remember!
We were a group of 12 and visited Nuna Kitchen & Bar yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance was perfect, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Our culinary journey began with the most amazing ceviche! The freshness of the seafood and the zesty citrus flavors transported our taste buds straight to the coasts of Peru. It was a perfect way to kick off our meal. We also indulged in the shrimp sliders, which were a delightful surprise. The combination of succulent shrimp and the perfectly seasoned sliders left us craving for more. And lets not forget about the drinks! The Pisco Sour and the Nespresso Niska were a hit with our group! For the main course we had the salmon which was cooked to perfection and equally impressive was the pasta with shrimp. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ve asked for separate bills and she s got it right the first time without any mistakes. Nuna exceeded our expectations in every way. If youre looking for an authentic Peruvian dining experience with exceptional food and service, this is the place to be. We cant wait to return!
Everything was amazing. Food is excellent served with thoughtful server who explains all the dishes, ask if any allergies and have recommended amount of food too.. and great playlist!
Food was amazing and the serive was great! Very recommend!
Delicious food, great atmosphere and awesome service ! Loved the drinks. Had such a great night and can t wait to go again.
We celebrate our friend birthday on Saturday, we enjoyed every moment. The food was delicious ,very nice presentation. The service was excellent . Highly recommended. Food : 5/5 |
The food is crazy good I really like The ceviche is unbelievable I love the service the girl from Peru she was very service and friendly The wine is delicious , nice place and great server s , the dishes are server very well and enough. Takes long time but it s understandable because it s DELICIOUS
Very authentic Peruvian food. Took me down my memory lane. Would 10/10 recommend. Get the tiradito, or ceviche. Food
I highly recommend the octopus ceviche! Jasmine and her husband have created an amazing Peruvian vibe. There s a fantastic atmosphere with authentic seafood dishes and fresh margaritas! Also the travelzoo voucher is definitely a must try for a tasting !
Ive had a fantastic experience at Nuna Kitchen & Bar. The food was super delicious. We had Shrimp Risotto, Seafood Pasta, Shrimp Slider, Yuca Croquettes, Corn Fritters, plus Mojito and Fresh From Hell cocktails. Ill definitely go back to this place. Check out their happy hour menu. Also, the person who took our order was such a sweetheart, super friendly and lovely.
I wanted to order ceviche but there was no fish, cockails was okay, recommended : arroz con pato
Amazing food! It was my first time trying Peruvian food but the entrees blew me away The pesto gnocchi was the perfect balance without being too strong. The octopus wasnt too chewy and the cauliflower in the creamy sauce was delicious. The shrimp risotto was also not too heavy on the cream but with balanced flavours. We came on a Wednesday for $1 oysters and they tasted fresh! Lemon cake was slightly too sugary though Definitely a hidden gem and I have to visit again!
This restaurant does everything right. The food is really outstanding. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant!
