I think Im finally done with King Slice. Last two orders were undercooked and the toppings slid off the pie. The crust was wet and mushy. Nothing unique about the toppings, it was literally the king slice special. Thanks for keeping me fed during covid. We had a good run!

This place has gone downhill. Its been a steady decline for the last 10 years. Pizza by the slice is often burnt or just dried out and unpleasant. I keep hoping next time will be better but it never is.

WORST WORST WORST WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! I ordered two extra-large pizzas: one Arrabiata and one King Slice Special. However, I received two King Slice Specials instead. Since the cashier brought the pizzas to my car, I didn t notice the mistake until I got home. This was for a party, and not everyone is a meat eater, including myself. When I called to request delivery of the correct pizza, I was denied because of my location, (20 mins away from the store) and I had to order from elsewhere to accommodate my guests. I find it unacceptable that I was also denied a refund, as this was not what I ordered. I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE STORE WITH THE UNEATEN PIZZA AFTER 3 DAYS OF FIGHTING TO FINALLY GET MY MONEY BACK. NO APOLOGY NOTHING.

Great service and portions and the herb oil you can add for free is nice. Felt lacking in salt/taste, then realized you can add your own salt and other spices. I get why oregano and stuff is separate but salt?

We have tried the pizza in Both their Locations in Downtown Toronto . The one on King street is definitely Better . Definitely a better Crispy Pie ! To be honest Indian People are making pizza so chose Carefully ok ! King location is better ! It s crispy pie and better toppings too !

I dont like the service at this place. They dont care about the customer and they are not professional at all. When serving the food, they do it with two plates, which makes my pizza slip. I dont recommend it.

Recently enjoyed a Deluxe slice and an Arabiatta which we split to get a taste of the offerings. Very good pizza. Fresh and fairly loaded with well cooked toppings. Solid selection of drinks including Italian Mole Cola. The patio was at capacity and the interior had about another 12 people. Id say they had about 4 people making and wrangling the giant pizzas and serving the steady stream of orders. Staff was friendly and courteous. Prices pretty good too. Solid recommendation.

Customer service is the worst, the oriental woman who receives the orders is rude and petulant. It does not offer a solution to the customer. They are just looking to make money with a regular pizza. Quite dry and burned. I dont recommend this place. They deserve a rating of 2 stars. The worst pizzeria Ive ever been to. Dont throw your money in the trash in this place.

Go to literally any other pizza place. Theres a reason theres so many 1 star reviews. Many of the 4 and 5 star reviews are written by their family and friends after someone posts legitimate complaints. Please dont be fooled by those reviews. King Slice used to advertise themselves as providing larger slices for smaller slice market value. However, that is a lie, youre paying the equivalent of a small pizza with half the amount of food now. Theres other small businesses with better pizza that still provide large slices for a fraction of this price. Their quality control has gone downhill, their service has always been unpleasant and they blame their ovens or the teenagers they hire. The actual truth is theyre lazy and use high temperatures and poorly maintain their machinery. Not sure if they still own a laundry mat across the street but they also dont upkeep that place and will try to refuse refunds when their machines eat coins, despite there being security cameras. Instead of showing humility or accountability for how theyve treated long-term supportive costumers, they cant even be bothered to remember your name and every concern is aggressively responded to, they simply refuse reparations, even when theres obvious quality issues. So please, if you want to support local and enjoy yourself, visit a more deserving restaurant who respects their customers back. Reasons/incidents you should consider: 1) Incredibly entitled and rude management that aggressively dismiss complaints. Prepared to feel rushed or humiliated by their staff. 2) Unsafe and inaccessible bathrooms, this place isnt disability friendly. 3) Unsanitary practices, such was letting customers in with dogs. Poor oven maintenance, resulting in worse food quality over the years. 4) Management is impatient and manipulative, they act like theyre owed something then use their immigrant card. 5) Growing up around the neighborhood, I even went to the same school as their daughter and wanted to support their family. Weve been supportive for most of my life and they dont even know our names. Literally every neighbour and local friend I have had horrible experiences there. 6) Management will show no accountability or humility for their lack of service or care. When our laundry machines broke and their machines were eating my coins I was screamed in my pajamas at as a young girl for asking the mother to walk across the street and return my coins. She tried to force me to break bills instead so I had to tell her she needs to check her security cameras in front of customers to receive any help. 7) Recently my tiny, elderly, mother came in because her blood sugar was low and she wanted to buy a couple slices for us, she first requested to see the bottom of the slices given the quality issues, she was immediately spoken down to by some new young cashier guy. Its not an issue, cashiers stand within arms reach of all the slices, theres never a line up, and yet they still tried to refuse showing her the slices. When she told them she wont buy the slices until they show her the bottom, since they never offer refunds or reparations when anything isnt up to regular standards, she saw they were charred in several places. Obviously, she requested different slices from other old pizzas or the new one, and wanted to buy several sauces. Both the cashier boy and the older family manager started to yell at her for wasting their time so my mother, who suffers from social anxiety, felt extremely uncomfortable and quietly left. This is unacceptable behavior and crosses a line. Coming from someone who poured hundreds here, imagine all the reviews thered be if more people werent brushing off their experiences or werent scared to be attacked over valid concerns. When I was young I was too scared and nervous to fight for myself. They take advantage of shy customers thatre kind and forgiving. So many times Ive stood outside contemplating my order just to avoid inappropriate encounters. No more, I refuse to support them taking advantage of others like this.

Kingslice offers extremely large and delicious pizza slices that certainly live up to the restaurant s name. Though the pizzas are impressive, the seating inside is lackluster and leaves much to be desired. Im biased to the Queen location, this one is almost as good. Love the patio. They dont always have the slice selection they advertise but theyre all pretty good. Recommend the Deluxe and Arrabiata

Arabiatta Pizza Yummy!! I found a hack. I take these pizzas to my home, heat the slices on a dry frying pan and then eat it. The crust becomes nice and crispy. Try it!!

Really great pizza.

Used to be the go-to for a quick and delicious slice! Prices have went up which is understandable. The size of the slices havent changed. However, it seems like the quality of ingredients went down. The pepperoni was changed to a smaller size which isnt too big of a deal. But it barely had any toppings considering that its supposed to be double pepperoni. The other slices looked unappealing and the toppings looked like it was just thrown on.

Went here yrs ago the love is not there anymore though got the deluxe quite thin and the pepperoni was very little to none crust is has crunch but still hungry post eating the slices and barely warmed for $7 expect more...

Breaks my heart to write this review because this has been my go-to for ordering past for myself or at one time, even for guests, but after 30 years, I cant order from here any more. They are constantly tinkering with their ingredients and recopies, obviously to try and save every penny, the quality, home-cooking flavours and reliability have suffered. Their awesome caesar salad was changed to give you the smallest amount of dressing--you should not have to order and pay for extra dressing to taste it. Their famous spicy pasta dish, the diavolo has been watered down so much that it is now a bland Canadian version. They are inconsistent who is and is not in delivery range an from which location. Whereas a $30 delivery meal was a treat, now at $40 for less flavour and less quality is not worth it. I introduced so many people to this place over 3 decades, but one downside to their success-they dont care: wrong order, etc, and in fact if you get an owner when you call back, they will just be rude about it. tSad to lose this place from my repertoire.

Pizza is delish!!

Stopped in while walking down Bloor Street and had a deluxe slice which was big and delicious. They didnt have the pepperoni that I wanted but the deluxe might have even been better. The atmosphere is extremely casual and the business seems to operate on a wing and a prayer. It seems like some guy who went to buy lemons for them walked right into the back as though he was an employee and a conversation went on questioning the price of the lemons in full site. It was pretty funny if not a little odd.. It was hard to tell who was an employee in the restaurant as there was no way to identify them by what they wore. They offer oil and Chili Peppers as toppings and the napkins were pretty flimsy considering how messy these slices can get. I would recommend the place but never got a sense that they cared too much about selling pizza. One final note is I believe they had bottles of beer displayed but when I asked about ordering one they said they didnt have any. Just another indication of their amazingly casual approach. Maybe instead of sending a guy out for lemons, they should have sent him out for beer lol. Still not quite sure why a pizza shop needs lemons in the first place.

The pizza debate in Toronto is a touchy one but King slice doesnt get enough love in my opinion. Its been a tradition for after a game or concert everytime Im in Toronto. The Bloor location is perfect and we usually find parking right out front with no issues. The pizza is perfect with a thin crust and with that garlic oil brushed on just makes everything right. The pizza is always consistent and should be on the top of the list for slices in Toronto.

Im sorry. Ive been going here for years but lately its just been bad. Cheese barely melted, sparse toppings, hardly cooked crust... Whats going on here did they change owners? At $8+ a slice this is making pizza pizza look amazing.

They mistook our order of lasagna for salad, and so we had to wait an extra 10 minutes after arriving to pick up our order for a lasagna to be cooked... mistakes happen, though, and I really enjoy the pizza, so all must be forgiven.

Dishonest merchant. We order a delivery for a pasta and a pizza. When we received the order, the pasta was still hot but the pizza was cold like it was made hours ago. This merchant knew the pizza was cold and old and not up to standard but still served the customer, just because it was a delivery?!? Or maybe it is just the way they do business?!? Will not recommend this to anyone!

I heard good things about Kingslice from my friend and went to visit. The employee taking our order was slightly arrogant. We ordered a deluxe pizza. When we received it, it had mushrooms on it, which was not specified on the menu. The pizza was bland and unsatisfactory 3/10. The margherita pizza, on the other hand, was delicious, 9/10. We tried 3 flavors of their soda, called Brio, lime (10/10), blood orange (4/10) and orange(8/10). Highly recommend trying the lime flavored brio soda they offer. My low ratings are only because of the customer service and the deluxe pizza.

Pizza is usually burnt on the bottom. The pepperoni pizza should be extra pepperoni, it had literally six pieces (I count them). We gave them another chance, tried the salad with chicken (extra $3) and there were literally five pieces of chicken and the croutons were so hard that I thought I es going to break a tooth. Their service is bad, they always made mistakes in the order, price or they have been rude to us. The only reason I go is because is literally the only walking distance place open.

I m a big pizza fan , me and my wife went here thought the pizza would be tasty because of the reviews, I hated it . Not enough sauce, cheese , toppi no s and the crust and base is so hard absolutely wasted $19 for two slices each and a drink . Will not come here again

Best Pizza in GTA.

Two nights ago, I called in at 6:15pm to order a medium arrabbiata pizza and made sure to specify that half of the pizza can t have cheese on it, since my friend is lactose intolerant. The girl that picked up the phone got my name, and my phone number for the order, then told me to pick up after 45 minutes. I arrived past 7pm to pick up but the girl at the counter simply told me that my order is not there. She didn t explain why so I had to ask her if someone picked my order up, then she asked me if my name was rose and if my phone number is a Vancouver number?? So she s saying that she just gave my order away to another person without double checking the name and the phone number. What s the point of asking for those two things on the phone if you re not even going to confirm with customers before proceeding to payment? I ended up waiting for another 30 minutes at the store and when I went home there was cheese all over the pizza! Horrible customer service and the girl only apologized when I confronted her about the issue.

King Slice uses good quality cheese on pizza. Test so good and healthy. Service is quite busy so they have waiting time. Quite conquest space. Overall 4 out of 5.

Great authentic pizza . The taste is amazing, the dough is soft and the crust was charred but in a good way, the way that is craved. Ingredients taste really fresh and great value per slice. The staff working there were friendly and efficient. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks.

King Slice was one of the few pizza places I hadn t tried yet. I ve walked by the Bloor St location numerous times and I ve noticed that is always really busy, especially at night. Today I finally ordered an extra large margarita on DoorDash to see what King Slice was all about. The wait was slightly longer than other places, but I found it to be so worth it. It is actually top tier. The way I would describe it is homemade - it tastes very fresh and authentic. The portions are quite generous too, which is a plus for people who like to eat!

Never will I ever order from here again. Pizza was over an hour late. It arrived burnt, cold and with a delivery man with an attitude who lied about the reason he was late. I was told a manger would call to listen to my concerns but received no follow up. Looks like Blondies has a monopoly on my business moving forward.

Ive only tried their pizza. The slices are HUGE and usually the pizza is good. Its a good bang for your buck! The service is always good tho and its a good little spot to have a quick bite.

I was torn between a 4 and a 5 for this place, but had to settle with a 4. I tried a pepperoni slice and a margherita. The pepperoni had just come out of the oven. I asked for a slice of it and they put it back into the oven for me. Hot pizza is always better of course but when they put it back in, it made the crust too crunchy. I do love a crispy crust, but this was beyond crispy; it ventured into crunchy territory. The flavour of the pizza was good, although the cheese did overpower a little bit on the pepperoni slice, making the sauce fade into the background. I preferred the margherita as it had more flavour with the basil, and the cheese to crust ratio was better. The garlic oil addition was really nice. Reminded me of Fresca Pizza & Pasta. I would say that over $7 for a slice is too much normally, however these are definitely larger than average slices, so I d say you re getting decent value. I would give this place another try! Not anything I d go out of my way for though.

Had the Pepperoni and Arabiatta pizza slices, they were perfectly cooked. I really loved the Arabiatta with the jalapeno heat! Would recommend! The pizza is one of the best in Toronto as they say. Lives up to the mark. The veal parmigiana sandwich was good too, the red sauce on the veal was amazing, wish I could have ordered it with extra sauce! Maybe next time! The veal was a bit overcooked and slightly chewy. So would rather personally prefer the chicken parm. Vegetarian options: Arabiatta and Margarita and veggie pizza options.

Been going here since is opened about 40 years. Its always been my second favourite slice in the city but its gotten worse the last few years. Pepperoni slice used to be advertised as double pepperoni its not now with the new horrible small, tasteless greasy pepperoni. And the crust is paper thin and floppy now and missing flavour it used to have. King slice slice crust always fell apart fairly easily now with thin crust it can easily break in half in your hand. Can you at least offer one regular or thick crust slice? The staff has always been very nice. The regular driver is the nicest guy in the world. Still a great slice but not a 5 star anymore. I have photos of old slices compared to new. Obviously the small pepperoni is the new one

This place has really gone down hill from a few years ago. The pizza slices were burnt and not accurate to the description. We complained that the pizza margherita slice didnt have fresh basil on it. The staff said it has one piece of mushroom on it, ifs fine. Thats a pizza margherita. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone right now.

Just picked up a large margarita+king slice special pizza and it tasted disgusting. Pizza was uncooked with large tomato chunks and soggy sauce. And it wasn t even margarita pizza. No basil, added pepper . My stomach started rumbling after just one slice. I always ordered from here but after today, NEVER AGAIN!!

Pretty good pizza, if you eat it hot. The morning shift has an employee with a terrible attitude who wont tell you what kind of pizza they have available when you call. But if you show up and the pizza you want is available Its pretty damn good.

Was a reg customer for 25 years. Recommend the King to everyone. Had two pizzas this summer - one was burnt the other barely cooked. They went Real cheap on the toppings too. Just ordered two pastas tonight - Sofia and Rustica. Both looked and tasted exactly the same- bad. They used some overpowering dried spice on both. Same sauce. These two were my favourites on their pasta menu for years. Nuanced flavour, one sauce quite different from the other. Not anymore. I m done with King Slice. Whatever they changed - managers? Chefs? have ruined the business.

Dropped by for a few slices. They were huge and delicious! The crust was thin, crispy, yet a little chewy. Glad we stopped by, will definitely do it again to try their sandwiches and salads.

As a long standing customer of this delicious pizza joint, Im disappointed by the customer service I received this evening. I called in to inquire what slices were available as I was not far away. I was promptly informed that they do not sell slices over the phone and was told to walk in to order, understood. My inquiry was an inquiry not an order request for single slice. Mid sentence of asking about placing a full sized pizza order the young person on the phone hung up. I proceeded to call back to place my pizza order and the young person was rude and dismissive of my stating the experience mere seconds ago, was off putting. I understand it is a busy Friday night, however thats no way to respond to customer inquiries. This is not the first time having slightly off putting experiences at King Slice on Bloor. Food = Service = needs improvement.

Nice pizza slice gem on Bloor West near High Park. Large slices! Toppings offered strike a nice balance. The slices are generously-sized, so the custom pies must be pretty big! Will have to try one, sometime. Sandwiches were also commended to me. Highly recommended. Kid-friendliness: Families with kids were happily accommodated while we were there.
