Its a great place to get pizza if you are sick of the other generic fast food pizza places. It is definitely a place Ill be going back to. I also enjoy the size of slice you get at this place.

December 2023 update (2/5): The owner replied to my review, encouraging me to try them again and offering a free large pizza. He mentioned a shift in management, which is always promising. Not one to shirk at free food, I embarked this evening to acquire it. We got one large meat lovers, as well as a set of garlic bread (as he had also told us this was changed entirely). The pizza: Its okay. Nothing to write home about. The toppings are less than you would imagine for the price. I would not pay the asking price for this, but it is a far cry from the horrific experience prior. Definitely a massive improvement. The large meat lovers, weighing in at about $32 plus tax, is not great, but its at least reasonable. The cheesy garlic bread: Their website advertises it (visually) as a pizza pie garlic bread ordeal, similar to the half-moon you get at Pizza Pizza. This is not the case. It is four slices of (very nice) bread, treated tenderly and smothered in garlic and cheese. Once again, I do not think the value lines up with the price, but it was a delicious treat. $9, plus tax, for four kinda small slices of bread, is not a great deal. Miscellaneous bits: Their site says Try Out Our New 12 Artisan Garlic Bread with Cheese Extra Virgin Olive Oil Fresh Garlic, Mozzarella Cheese, Parmigiana Cheese, Topped with a sprinkle of Parsley Feeds 2 *Comes with side Maestros House Marinara Dip. This is, obviously, untrue. It is not a 12 pie of bread. It is four pieces of baguette. There also was no marinara, as well as no parsley. It is directly false advertising, which (despite being tasty) drops this review straight from 3/5 to 2/5. ORIGINAL REVIEW (was 1/5): Their deep dish pizza that is pictured on Uber Eats is nothing like the one you receive -- a massive crust with scant toppings. Genuinely terrible. Spent a long time trying to find a place to order deep dish from, ordered based off the picture, and not even *close* to a proper deep dish pizza, especially not the nice one they have an image of. Also, we ordered their cheesy garlic bread and there was next to no cheese AND it was completely burnt. All in all, youd be better off buying a frozen pizza than getting *anything* from this place. Oh and their delivery dude? Ignored the instructions and pounded on my neighbours door over and over and over again. Not a single redeeming factor to this place.

Najan hands down deserves a raise. We came in with 10 people tonight at 9pm and Najan was so helpful and very accommodating. Would recommend the service at this location!

They got one of our 4 pizzas wrong, but they were so good about fixing it 5/5 for customer service.

Just received our order of 2 medium pizzas and a pound of wings. One pizza arrived uncut (which I can deal with). Wings overcooked and dry - see photo. Not exactly gourmet.

LOVE me some Maestros pizza! I dont understand the bad reviews. Ive ordered MANY times in the last year. Always fresh, great ingredients, and generous with the toppings. IMO, way better than the big chains.

a friend keeps telling me to go, and try it. i finally did, and man, im kicking myself for not going earlier. i did a walk-in slice for $5.50 after tax. taste was great, large serving, price cant be beat. i bet if they were in a location with more foot traffic, they would be killing it. speaking of which, i noticed they are opening a location at Queen and Logan, soon. def looking forward to visiting more often. like, do yourself a favour, and go try it, atleast.

When Omar is there.... you know you get a great pizza.....but now brothers are cutting too many corners - stick to quality... money will come

Outstanding pizza lives here! Picked up 3 pies, and each of the 3 were delicious. Dont think you can go wrong with any of them - but the Hot Sweetie Pepperoni is especially delicious! Friendly people; delicious pies; a great find. Will be back for sure!

Tried the pizza and chicken wings for the first time. Place was bright and clean Staff friendly and helpful. Had Pepperoni Pizza and Ham and Pinneapple. Both were very good but star of dinner was the chicken wings . Wished we ordered more as they are very delicious. Definitely will order from here again.

Best basic pepperoni pizza in the east end grab a doppio pepperoni.. don t get cute with gourmet options. Nice thin crispy crust. Throwback pepperoni pie !

Walk - in slices available as well as full pizzas to order. Tiny little shop not much sitting area. More like a pick up and go place with standing room for like 5 ppl. Great treat if youre in the area. Has all the classic flavors and gourmet ones. The pizza had a crispy crust. Not overly greasy. Very tasty and good pull on the cheese. Pizza tastes fresh. Solid spot, suggest you try. Staff was friendly, serviced me quickly and pricing was very reasonable. About 5$ to 6$ per walk in slice Restaurant appeared clean No complaints here

Canceled my order 40 minutes after it was confirmed with no communication and wouldnt pick up the phone. Edit: I wish I could leave zero stars. After several unanswered calls, they called me back to say sorry with no explanation. I asked why it was cancelled, he said must have been a glitch. I asked if the order was going to be sent out and he said no then hung up on me.

Took over an hour to arrive and I live just a block away. It finally arrived luke-warm and without any basil or gorgonzola like it was supposed to have. I emailed them the next morning to advise but no reply and its been 2 days. All-around terrible. Update: As of Jan 6 still no response to my email inquiry. Still no response as of January 20th. Still no response as of February 23.

Ordered some pizza and drinks online. Pizzas took 20 mins past estimated delivery time (estimated time was an hour after initial order) and arrived without drinks. I called back and was told the drinks would be delivered. Never got any drinks. Last order from here :(

Is this place under new ownership? Ordered a pizza for pickup. Was told 25 minutes. Arrived to pick it up and stood there for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Pizza hadn t even been started. Never had issues before. Will not be going back.

This place used to be great, but since the renovation, its got to be some of the worst pizza Ive ever had. No exaggeration. The service is still good though

Went in for the walk in special, they tried to overcharge me until I pointed it out. Pizza was slow. Pizza wasnt great. Wont go back.

Disappointed with the service, they sent my pizza out with the delivery to a different person, made my mother an I wait 20+ mins in the cold. They did not offer a discount or anything. Pizza itself is not worth the wait, it was extremely greasy.

I went to pick up my order and the older short man at the front was very rude and has a attitude problem. Needs to improve on his customer service skills if he wants to succeed in business. The pizza was also very dry and soggy. Do not recommend this place.

Ordered extra cheese on the deep dish pizza...came with only cheese and no actual toppings. When I tried to call to get it rectified, only voicemail. The doughs not bad if it had something to go with it.

Received a coupon in a flyer - 2 medium pizzas for $20. Called in and used the coupon. Flyer explicitly said no delivery fees. Next thing you know, the guy at the door was telling my wife that they charge a delivery fee (a few bucks). Not the money, but the principle of it. I called the driver on it and he argued said that s their policy. I had to show the delivery guy the flyer with the offer that said no delivery fees . Felt shady to me and so we will not be ordering from them again. Feels like the wrong strategy for a neighbourhood place just to get a few extra bucks. And then you wonder why Uber Eats is on a tear.

Best gluten free crust I ve had and I ve tried most in the area. The dairy free cheese is nice and melty too! I ve had the regular pizza and love it but can t eat it as often as I used to. I might not miss it after having the GF/DF version. My favourite topping combo is marinated tomato, spicy soppresatta and kalamata olives (although I don t think they actually stock them because it always comes with black olives). No need to pay fees through delivery apps because they have their own drivers! That s one of the best parts. It comes HOT! What a concept. You can order online and collect points towards free food or just call them like the old days. Real people answer the phone! :)

Very nice person took my order and the delivery was on time and the person was very nice. The pizza was over $30 for a large and the crust was tasteless and limp, the tiny amount of sauce had little to no flavour. Salt, garlic and oregano would be great in a pizza sauce

I want pizzaiolo back! The quality of the toppings have just gone downhill, theres almost never any cheese on the pizza even when I pay for extra cheese, then I always put my pizza back in the oven because its never cooked enough either. I dont buy pizza from here anymore.

Strike 3. Terrible. Ordered at 7pm they did not take my address but repeated my phone number back to me. I immediately called back to provide my address. 9:36 no pizza, no phone call from them. We called they are closed now. All we wanted was a simple phone call. Rude. Never again.

Where do I start? Pizza took over two hours. Not the 45 minutes they said it would take. Late apparently because whoever took the order keyed in the wrong address. The first pizza I ordered was all wrong, it was supposed to be pineapple pepperoni and green pepper It was pineapple green olives pepperoni mushrooms and God only knows what. This was for a 95 year old lady, She couldnt eat it. So ya. Not only was her dinner way off schedule. It wasnt what she likes. (Thanks a bunch for that! Ill not hear the end of it) To be fair, I accually liked the pizza that I got for my wife and I. The girl... Not so much. Anyhow... They took ten off the order. Because ol the address screw up. Should be more seeing as how screwed up it was. Against the family wishes... Im gonna give them another chance.

We have been looking for another Pizzeria for a while now, others have fallen short, unfortunately this place has as well. The crust was great, but it lacked substance. No sauce to speak of and very salty. In regards to cleanliness, the staff need to be trained under food handling regulations. Staff were not wearing gloves, were not washing their hands before making pizzas, they had no hairnet or beard net. I am a professionally trained private chef with extremely high standards for cleanliness! I would be out of business fast if I ran my kitchen this way.

Maestro being Italian cuisine serves gelato as well. I went to pick up Gelato and they gave me almost melted gelato and the taste didnt even feel authentic. The staff was v rude. Unpleasant experience.

Ive wanted to try this place for a while, but Ive never had the chance. Since we live in the building on top today me and my kids went for a walk then decided to stop in for a treat. Unfortunately the customer service was horrible. Like really, really bad. I asked my kids to stay outside since they didnt have a mask and I entered. The young man treated me rudely as though he couldnt be bothered to serve a Black woman. My kids wanted gelato and we got it but after taking my order, rudely throwing the items on the counter and walking away after taking my money, needless to say I wont be returning. I prefer to spend my hard earned money somewhere I wont be insulted for merely existing.

Oh my goodness...SO good! Im telling everyone I know to order from here (they deliver) but thats only if they are unable to experience the pleasure of going into the restaurant, themselves. The people who run the place and make the delicious pizzas are also very lovely people. Trust me, if you eat here, your mouth will thank you!

We ordered from this place a few weeks ago. It was good pizza but they forgot to put fresh basil on both pizzas. We tried them again through Uber eats and waited almost 2 hours. Three drivers later and still no pizza the restaurant cancelled our order. Very disappointed. We tried calling them numerous times and was sent right to voicemail. Never again!!!

We placed an order through Uber Eats, and it was taking a long time to get picked up by the driver. After we had 3 different drivers try picking up the order, with no luck, we tried calling the restaurant. It immediately went to voice mail. We then tried calling the Uber driver to see what the situation was, and he said he was on hold with Uber customer service because the restaurant was not fulfilling Uber orders. Keep in mind this was over an hour and a half after we successfully placed the order on Uber. Then the restaurant abruptly canceled our order with no explanation. I don t know what the situation was, but we definitely won t be ordering from Maestro s again.

Decent pizza, not the best Ive ever had but we did just go in for a slice which was gigantic! Huge enough for two people easily, its a quarter of a pizza! If you make your own its probably way nicer, they had a lot of different topping options. We got the pepperoni but the Hawaiian looked amazing because the bacon was really fatty looking, just how I like it :)

Pizza is good but it is rushed, not cooked fully. We have spent a lot of money in this place, thinking it s a one off - not a one off ... the delivery is the worst. Delivery took 2 hours one day

Not so gourmet after all. Unfortunately too many Torontonians are too easily pleased when it comes to food. One star was for the affordable price and the second for the way it looks. That s all. It is certainly not tasty. Very much like Pizza Pizza. If you want really good tasting pizza try North of Brooklyn...they have two locations. You certainly get what you pay for.

We tried for the first time and absolutely loved the pizzas! I had a vegan (with vegan cheese option yummy) and my husband had a classic one and both were delicious. Its really hard to find a good vegan pizza so Im glad we found Omars. Its also near the lake so also a great idea to pick a pizza from there and enjoy it from the lake or woodbine park :)

Maestro Omars pizza is delicious. The crust is perfect and the sauce is tasty. My new favourite is Salvatore. Pizza from Omar is my Friday tradition.

Was really excited to find a new pizza option outside the usual. The reviews sold me on it. But when I cracked the pizza box, I was disappointed. Light on cheese and toppings. Maybe it was an off night, or maybe it s just not my style. Crust was really thick and doughy. Light on sauce. Pretty bland overall. The staff were really nice and I really wanted to like it, but overall pretty underwhelming.

We just had our first pizza from Maestro Omar and it was totally delicious. We loved how he had vegan Daiya cheese and lots of fresh toppings. He was very friendly and dedicated to making great pizzas.
