Mamma's Pizza in Toronto

If I could give this place zero stars I would, I ordered a calzone from this location with extra pepperoni & pineapples. Not only was there a lack of both pepperoni & pineapple, there was also a lack of sauce, I was essentially eating bread & cheese. The customer service was terrible, I asked to speak with the manager several times but instead got told I was not allowed to. On top of everything that s happened, I also threw up multiple times, I feel extremely nauseous & have the worst stomachache, after speaking to the manager he showed no empathy towards the fact that I was throwing up but he did show empathy towards the terrible customer service & offered to make me a new one tomorrow however due to me throwing up, I was completely turned off from the place.

I ordered spaghetti it was not cooked i threw it away

I usually love their chicken wings but the ones I had last night hardly had any sauce on them. Very disappointed.

This place is a joke! The guy who seems like the manager or owner was unbelievably rude to me for no reason. On top of that, I got a slice of pepperoni pizza, and they were so stingy with the toppings it was laughable. Never coming back here again. Don t waste your money on this place they don t deserve your business.

Mammas Pizza at 807 Yonge is right by the Toronto Library. It has become my new favourite spot for deliscious and quick Italian food. So far I have had the meat lasagna, the chicken Parm and of course a pizza and everything has been so good to eat. They have a couple of very nice young men serving who are professional and helpful. Its a tiny spot but its warm and cozy so great to sit down and eat a meal you can enjoy before getting back to work. Highly recommend it to anyone who live Italian.

Really nice spot but very disappointing pizza. I got the walk-in special when I took a bite into it it felt like cardboard. I looked underneath and it was sadly burnt.

It sounds like it was really a bad experience! Thin and tough crust can make the pizza quite unappealing. Sometimes, restaurants don t pay enough attention to the dough quality or the proper baking time, which negatively affects the taste and texture.

I cant say enough good things about Mamas Pizza! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for families. I tried the classic pepperoni, and it did not disappoint the pepperoni was crispy and flavorful, and the cheese was ooey-gooey perfection. Plus, the staff is super friendly!

Pizza was good with a thin crust, however I was not a fan of what appeared to be the worker returning from his break which involved eating and being on their phone, without washing hands and immediately making the pizza with no gloves on. I understand that the oven/cooking would counter this, however a hand washing would have been better.

Floor/Yonge location very convenient for Toronto library users. Fast service, good pizza, cold drinks, reasonably priced. Only a couple of tables -- most customers are grabbing a quick bite for their pizza fix. Recommended.

Food is usually great but I have to comment on the huge price hike that hasn t been reflected within the store s signage I understand inflation has hit everyone quite hard and many businesses raise their prices at the beginning of the new year, but we re 30 days into the new year and the menu in store is not updated. Bright imagery saying Mammas Salad starting at 4.95 but I was verbally told I could only order Large salads that cost 8.95 (although the lit up menu behind the person serving me said 6.95) a nearly 30% price increase feels sneaky to the customer. Not even sure what else is gone up in price as the posted menu isn t accurate. Strange way to run a business.

Great pizza and service! Not only are the sauces delicious, but he also went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top-notch. My girlfriend and I were thrilled to be able to bring our little dog, Bentley, and enjoy a delicious pizza on-the-go. I highly recommend this pizzeria and the hard-working staff, especially the bespectacled man, for their amazing service and delicious offerings.

Mamma s Pizza on Yonge Street just north of Bloor is my go to pizzeria for a pizza that tastes like home. Growing up in Sault Ste. Marie you become accustomed to good Italian food and homemade pizza. My favourite Mamma s Pizza is a thin crust large pizza with a tasty tomato sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni. Pizza isn t the only item on their menu - they have lasagna, chicken parmesan, side pastas and salads. My friends and I have gone here for years and they never disappoint - this is the closest I get to the homemade pizza I grew up on. You can grab a slice of pizza, they usually have a few varieties ready and on display. You can eat in, pick-up for takeout and they also have delivery. Their wings are a perfect addition to pizza nigh - turn it into pizza and wings. I ve had their party size pizza and it makes the party even more delicious!

Been coming here for the last 7 years. Can t speak for other locations but this Mammas is sooooo underrated. Order your pie Well done, thank me later ;) embrace the char. The only problem is I can eat a large pizza in one sitting too easy.

Just had a slice of pizza and a can of pop during my lunch break. The guy serving the pizzas was extremely rude. I went through an error with my credit card for a sec. When i attempted to pay again he told me to BE QUICK when he didn t finish entering the amount on the post machine. I was like what s wrong. He looked so stressed and taking it out off of the customers walk in. Enough with the rude service

My first time ordering from Mammas Pizza. I ordered a large pizza and salad. I got the Pizza but not the salad. The driver was clueless over what he was delivering. When I pointed out the salad was missing, he checked the receipt and I had to wait 30 minutes for the Salad to be delievered. By that time, my pizza was cold. Overall, I did enjoy the pizza and salad.

NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!!!! Horrible customer service. (807 YONGE St.) It seems the owner Persian old guy (Almost 60 yrs old) working there hates his job!!!!!!! So rude to customers, yelling, having attitudes& etc. I hope Mamas Pizza head office HR would take care of him one day soon before he would do more damage to other customer days for no reason by being rude and mean to them.

As a New Yorker I loved the veal parmigiana and meatball parmigiana sandwiches. The pricing is excellent and I had a nice time talking with the workers. Authentic and delicious Italian food. Enjoy!!

Truthfully, just okay. Staff were friendly. Pizza is thin crust and well made but nothing special, and a bit more expensive than other similar places (about 5$ a slice + tax compared to 3-4$ slices of similar quality at other joints). Still will probably be back at some point for lunch breaks!

The Pizza there is so yum

FRAUD! I placed an order on August 11th through their website and it was confirmed. A few moments later the restaurant calls me and said they never got their food delivery and can t fulfill the order so we have to cancel. Annoying but ok. Then they charge my credit card! Now the restaurant owes me $40 but because the order was cancelled over the phone when they called me there is no record of this. They are thieves.

I was in the mood for a good veal sandwich and considering what Ive had from other places over the past six months, Mamma wins hands down. Had mine with onions, mushrooms & cheese. Everything from the bread on in was on point. Maybe with peppers next time. Unfortunately I found the pizza bland. Ordered a medium pepperoni with mushrooms & onions. Nothing seriously wrong with it. Just nothing to write home about either. Delivery was quick but...On a 37 dollar bill I handed the guy a 50 and told him to keep it. Thats a 13 dollar tip so maybe the polite thing to say would have been thanks?

I really like Mammas Pizza, the service is good and the Pizza is yummy. I dont eat pizza very often but when i do its Mammas the crust is not to thick and everything I requested is on the Pizza

I honestly don t understand why everyone is complaining about guy with glasses. Great pizza and great costumer service. My friend, my dog and I are going to that location at least 2 times a week and we never had an issue with him or pizza. All is great !!

Really amazing pizza. Not the cardboard stuff from pizza pizza. The toppings were fresh and the pizza was delivered still quite hot. I usually do walk in but their delivery service is quite solid. Ask for Mike to deliver it. He was quite courteous and fast. All in all its the best premium pizza in the downtown core.

Been ordering here for years. Food is usually good. One of the employees will shout at you if you havent memorized exactly what you want to order. The establishment unfortunately wont do anything about this individual, considering other poor ratings suggest it is the same problematic person spanning from years back. I will not be ordering here anymore.

Mamas pizza is amazing. Delicious and hits the right spot. Especially this location. I always have either veggie or gourmet veggie slice. I was away from Toronto for 6 years and now I am back and it s exactly the same. The guy with the glasses who works here (he has been working here for years) is friendly and always treats me well. My go to spot. Highly recommended.

The food was great and ordering online was quick and easy. Unfortunately the delivery person was rude, squished our food and then attempted to quietly walk away with our $18 change. Regardless we still gave an $8 tip but apparently that wasn t enough for a simple thank you.

I went for the first time to that Yonge St location and although the cashier was friendly....the 3 Calzones (panzerottos) I ordered were not very good for the high price they costed me (40.00). You get charged extra for toppings which makes no sense as other pizza franchises of other companies I have been to never charged for 3 toppings..its a shame that the Pizza Pizza across the street from this location is gone because of a condo development. Its strange how when I received my 3 boxes of calzones they had no plastic bags....I guess they assumed every customer that goes there has a car...other pizza and fast food places I have been always did...It was not worth the money and even my roommate was not pleased with the items as it tasted very bland.

When i asked the staff to put another piece of pizza in the oven, it was like i am telling him to do something extremely HARD Pizza quality not even as good as pizza pizza

I had great expectations from this store . I ordered a party size pizza. Pizza was overly baked and the crust was tight and difficult to chew. Lacked service in the store and it seemed like one person was doing everything which in turn Comprised the standard of quality and customer service . The toppings were not evenly distributed. I waited 18 months to come back and get a Mammas pizza by Farshad. It was fantastic, just as I remembered it! Farshad always goes the extra mile and perfectly makes my pizza to my specifications. It is great to be back in Toronto and to talk to Farshad on a regular basis!

I was surprised too from an old man that was working there, he was short but he seems to me a good person and polite. Pizza was good, staff were good, short guy with the glasses was an absolute nightmare. He treats his staff and the customers with such utter disrespect that I honestly do not know how he still has a job. I dont know how any of the other staff work under him verbally abusing them, and pushing one of the male staff members out of his way at one point. The bad reviews for this place are almost exclusively about him. They are all correct.

Always used to pass by the store and saw a huge lineup. one day I had a chance to taste their slice. It was the best slice that i have eaten around the city. staffs are really friendly and they suggested me more variety of options for take-out and delivery. I am really happy with their delivery.

The best thin crust pizza in town, go for the largest size when ordering because you re going to want it! Try goat cheese, anchovies and chicken as a topping combination, don t knock it till you try it!

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Lets begin at the start. Fiance was hoping for a good slice from a different chain so I suggested Mamas. After saying she had never had it we ordered. They didnt have honey garlic dipping sauce as an option so I asked in the notes if they could include it on the side. Order was placed and we eagerly awaited. Thats when 2 minutes after sending our order through a 3rd party delivery company (wont name), the restaurant called. The gentlemen in a condescending tone stated so yes, you could find the ranch dipping sauce but not the honey garlic. I replied, yes, there is no option in the menu selection. I further asked, do you contact all your customers when they make a special request?, he stated that he didnt understand the question to avoid justifying the unusual phone call. He then went on to the most offensive part of this story. He asked me if I intended to tip the driver? Mildly confused I said is this because I didnt include a tip in my online transaction? (I always tip in cash to the driver directly as I dont know if the funds make it to the deserving persons with some places). I then asked if I could speak to a manager given the rude tone and the response was I am the manager, I answered ok, may I have your name? - no you may not! I asked to have the ordered cancelled and of course the 3rd party delivery operator stated I would not be refunded my purchase. Thats a whole $41.44 tip for the store and courier for making a phone call. Congratulations gentlemen. Luckily for us, we eventually called Papa, and not only was he empathetic, but gave us a discount for our troubles. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from this location ever again. Oh and if you needed to know, the driver enjoyed a $5 tip for their troubles. Moral of the story: Do Not Order From Thieves.

I havent had pasta for ages and my go to used to be Olympic 76. Now its Mammas! Really enjoyed a homemade spaghetti and meat sauce.. delicious, amazing flavour and a fair amount of meat. Bigger garlic bread pieces with more garlic would be my only suggestion!! Great staff that seemed happy to have me! Thanks for an awesome feel good dinner.

I ordered a pizza on their online website and paid with my credit card including tip for the driver. When he arrived I went to go get my pizza at the door and he asked me for the money to pay for the pizza I was confused because I know that I already paid for the pizza using my credit card as proof on my credit card to automatic notification and when I logged in the money was removed off of the account. So I called the store directly and they try to convince me that I should pay again in cash for the pizza I said yeah I cant do that Ive already given you $30 Im not giving you an additional $30. So Im out $30 and I have no pizza as the store owner told the driver to leave with the pizza. I dont appreciate shady business. I tried calling back after speaking with my credit card company and they didnt pick up the phone at the pizza place so I guess I will call tomorrow in the next day and the next day until I feel that things have been rectified. I dont think I would lie about $30 so Im not certain as to why he decided to do that to me but not good for my first time ordering from this place. Youve just lost a customer but I guess that doesnt mean anything to you anyways but whatever!

The short guy with the attitude really has a problem, pizza is okay but the service is absolutely terrible the guy makes it seem like hes doing you a favor. Even if its a simple task like asking for a drink he gives you a dirty look and mumbles under his breath. Called to order a pizza and he said when I ask you a question you answer me

I was ordering a slice and the little guy with glasses at the cash register mumbled something under his breath and spit on my slice when I asked for a 7-Up. Told me I was an idiot and he only sells sprite. I don t know what his problem is , but I won t be going back there again.

Pizza way better tasting than the cardboard tasting pizza pizza and pizzaolo. Dips need some work or it is a great place.

Noticed a line up in front of the store while I was walking towards the subway...decided to stop by and have a bite....can t help myself from saying that, they have the best slices around the city...The employees are really friendly especially the short funny guy with specs...Had a great time.

RUDE Customer Service. I just went to this location and was treated with the utmost disrespect. It wasn t busy when I entered but waited 5 minutes to order a slice as the Eastern European guy was arguing with someone in the back room. I simply asked which pizza came out of the oven so I could order a fresh slice. Something I do at all pizza places in the GTA. He responded with nothing is fresh, the pizzas are 2-3 months old . Absolutely condescending attitude for no reason. I walked out and will never go here again. Simply put they hate their customers and they weren t even busy. This used to be a great place.

One of tge few pizza places that leave a slice in long enough so its well done. Great variety, decent prices and an awesome walk in special, medium pepperoni for 8.99 I believe. Thin crust and well done, very good place.

My personal favorite

Veggie pizza was extremely slimy and pretty overpriced. Toronto is full of good slice places, try somewhere else.

Clean. Friendly staff. Not super busy so pizza does not take long. Good deals.
