Pizzaiolo in Toronto

Time to find a new pizza place.Last 2 orders were delivered late and cold, called them to complain and appears they are too busy to care or take ownership.

Staff were more interested to conversing with each other. My slice was thrown in the oven for like 15 seconds. I miss when the original people ran it. They cared more.

Do not eat here. This place is in a medical building and wouldnt allow a service dog in the door so owner could buy food after fasting for medical test.

I was not happy with the pizza, but that s not what stood out as the poor experience, it was the customer service, or lack there of. Rude, patronizing, and not willing to help at all.

says the close at 12am, went at 10:50pm and supposedly they close at 11. came back 30 minutes later and they re still opened with the lights on, too lazy to let anyone order. horrible.

This place needs to make more vegetarian pizzas for their lunch rush. I went in at 1pm today and they are down to one vegan slice and a half cheese pizza? Who buys/eats cheese pizza????? Ill tell ya who...children...5-6yr olds!!! What does that tell you Pizzaioli?? The vegetarian pizzas SELL! So, make more!!!

They lost our order, lied 3 times about putting it in the oven at that moment, and offered no compensation. My husband spent 40 minutes in the store which was 30 minutes after it was ordered. I have worked in hospitality. Mistakes happen. But taking no accountability and repeatedly lying to the customer is NOT the way to deal with an issue.

My very first time at this location. Bathroom has no lock. They burnt my pizza crust. The lady didn t do any greetings. Quelle dommage.

Service and atmosphere was good. Pizza lacked enough tomato sauce and cheese, thus was very dry. And while I do allow their thinner crust pizza to burn a little, our slices (me and my sis) were over done and definitely burnt :( And Ive been to other Pizzailos without this issue :( Food : 2/5

Friendly staff, good pizza and fast excellent customer service. The custom made chalzone is really good. It can easily feed two people. Highly recommend it.

The positive: The pizza here was actually good, I liked it. The negatives: The order/cash register counter is disorganized, with no direction from staff or signage on where to form a line. We had 2 people just walk right by us as we waited to place or order, no cares given. When it came to our turn, we placed our order and paid... no receipt. We were taking our pizza to go, after over half an hour it seemed pretty obvious that our order had gone wrong (others that arrived later than us had came and gone long ago). My partner asked the employee that took our order how long until our pizza is ready? and we were literally IGNORED - no reply. (NOTE: Think about that for a moment.. politely asking an employee a direct question about your order and they literally ignore you). Instead, a look of nervousness as several employees had a discussion under their breath. Didnt need to be a detective to know that they clearly forgot about our order. I guess thats what happens when you cant operate a register correctly, or provide receipts. After another 10 minutes or so, we got our pizza. No apologies, no sorry for the delay, no enjoy your order. Nope, never going back.

This pizzaiolo location has really gone downhill. It took over an hour to deliver 2 pizzas to basically 2 blocks north of high park. Pizza was ok but the poor service ruined the evening for everyone.

The best pizza in the city. I love all of the options available and the pizza consistently tastes great. Also, great prices and variety. Vegetarian options: Lots of options. Parking: Street parking nearby Kid-friendliness: Tables and chairs for dining.

Pizzaiolo at Bloor and Jane is our go-to place for Friday pizza-night. The staff are always friendly, the pizza is always fresh and if you ever have to wait (they are very popular on Friday at 6pm) they are steps away from some wonderful cafes in the Bloor West village. Vegetarian options: Pizzaiolo has a robust vegetarian selection including some wonderful plant-based meat options (try the plantayolo). Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten-free crust options, dairy free pie options and allow you to customize your pizza with combinations of their crusts and toppings. Kid-friendliness: Delicious pizza, fast. Definition of kid friendly :)

This used to be my fav local pizza spot. Yesterday experience was a disaster. Took 1h and 45 mins to get 2 pizzas and they were not worth it. Seems to be new owner and they have radically changed the dough. It sucks. Won t be ordering again.

Understaffed and overwhelmed. We really enjoy pizza from here but every time we order it now its burnt. Today they had to remake our party pizza and still ended up burning it again. They are way too flustered in there and I feel bad for them as its not entirely their fault. They need to hire more help because the staff here is overwhelmed during the peak hours of the day between walk in orders, online orders and UberEats. We will be going to a different location until this issue is resolved and hope to be back soon.

I always had a wonderful experience with their pizzas as their pizzas are always fresh and delicious and moreover their staff is very nice because they deal with their customers with patience . I would recommend everyone to visit here for eating delicious and yummy pizza.

M ordering pizza regularly from late couple of years. Their consistency is really amazing and never changed.

I reached out to Pizzaiolo after I was in a car accident in front of their building. The employee was extremely nice and had said that they likely had footage of the accident but that the manager would need to review the footage and release it to me. Despite numerous phone calls from me, my sister and my insurance adjuster, the manager never returned our calls. I understand being busy but 2 months of phone calls not being returned is a bit excessive.

Great slice for still a decent buck...whole wheat meat is my go to slice ...only beef is let the slice cook...still damn good

Be careful when you order. Asked multiple times how their extra toppings charge works. Was told what I ordered would be 1 extra topping. Yeah this sauce would be free if you do that. They charged me for multiple toppings. Asked for clarification after seeing the receipt and they said Yeah but after I entered the order the amount went up. but they hadnt bothered to tell me at the time. A half and half pizza counts as 2 toppings too for some reason...

We live in the area and come in often enough because we like the pizza from pizzaiolo, and more than 3/4s of the time we leave empty handed and have to go somewhere else. Why - at dinner time - with more than 3 hours left of being open do you not have pepperoni or even Hawaiian slices available? If these are frequent common easy sellers, you should be making more! As well Ive experienced their staff open and close the oven instantly like thats enough time to heat the slice, and have on more than 3 occasions been witness to some of their daytime staff out smoking with their aprons on (food handling 101), and/or yelling profanities to someone on their phone at full volume - in the no loitering area, inconsiderate to the people who live and work around them who dont need to hear their personal business. Please be smarter at business and the staff more considerate of your surroundings.

Fast friendly service. Was pleasantly surprised to be able to buy a slice of vegan pizza (whole wheat Diana) at a chain spot. I ve heard that many locations have stopped offering this by the slice- please continue offering it always! Super delicious and healthy!

I ordered 2 specials costing $21.99 each on FridayDec 8. Online I was charged $25 for one pizza. When I called this location to get a price adjustment, the lady told me she couldnt do anything about it. Then the order took 1 hr and 5 min and the 4 free pops and 4 dips werent delivered. This was the 3rd time I ordered from this location and also the last. I have contacted head office as well.

Great place to go in and get a slice. They charge about $6 and have great meat and vegetarian options. We basically grab a few slices every Sunday at this point. Vegetarian options: Theres a pizza with zucchini on it that is amazing.

Two of their delivery drivers blocking driveway of the building their store is located, shared with numerous other businesses, and marked with a huge sign saying not to block driveway. Employee went on a verbal, profanity ridden, tirade, saying they can do what they want its their building.

Can always count on Pizzaiolo, especially this location, to serve up fresh pizza with a smile. Never had an order wrong, always fresh and piping hot with the exact toppings I requested. Even when picking up a slice for lunch its always fresh and tasty. Though most slices are gone by 1PM for the lunch rush. All in all, very satisfied with this location and would recommend over the nearby Pizza Pizza any day.

If you have an hour to wait past your delivery time then go for it - the pizzas are good but not good enough to have to chase it down poor service

Pizzaiolo is St Pius X school s pizza provider. In addition to traditional cheese/pepperoni slices, they offer students options for gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian requests. They even open early to ensure pizzas are delivered hot and ready for the school s lunch break. Reliable, friendly service. Highly recommend Pizzaiolo as your school s pizza partner.

Great pizza for takeout or delivery.

If I could give 0 Stars I would. Terrible experience. Ordered a Toni Pepperoni. Received an undercooked pizza with a handful of pepperonis on it. Nothing gourmet or special about it. That night both girlfriend and I had terrible stomach pains and indigestion. I wrote an email to the customer service people at the company and they basically did nothing but call me a liar - provided no compensation or any kind of credit. Unbelievable. With so many pizza options in the city, avoid this place and dont give them your money for a mediocre to terrible experience.

Thr pizza here is good. The crust is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside - appears to be stone baked. Pizzas we ordered were fresh and baked right. Excellent experience!

Customer service and pizza were horrible. My pizzas were completely burned, and customer service was unbelievable bad. Employee were walking around and joking without noticing to the customers. It was the first time in my whole life that I had the experience like these. Totally not recommend.

It was my first time trying Pizzaiolo and I absolutely enjoyed it. Thankfully they opened a location that is closer to me!

Ive had many different pizzas over the years and these are the best, especially at this Bloor St. location. They are never greasy and they use top quality, generous ingredients. I always ask that it be lightly cooked and they have never disappointed.

I was in there with my two year old and they would nt give me a cup of water for her. Made me buy a bottle of water for almost $3 for her to get a couple of sips. FYI we were paying customers and that s after we ordered our food and we re sitting in the restaurant. Ridiculous!!!

I ordered a pizza for delivery and received a reheated one. I called to the store and they blamed the weather and offered me a 20% discount in a next order. I say no to the discount because I am not ordering anymore from this place.

First of all I love Pizzaiolo for their walk in slices they never disappointed me or my girlfriend always crispy and delishous so wanted to get thay out of the way. Now I am reviewing the pizza yes I put that in quotes because what we received was not Pizza! It was a greasy MESS like I mean someone poured oil all over the pizza it even pooled in the corner. And it had the thinist crust I ever ate. Like so thin when we tried to pick it up it was a limp mess with greasy cheese and meat everywhere. It was like eating a bunch of hot toppings with soft mushy dough that was not even cooked and less than a millimeter. This was our worst experience we ever had and the toppings were good but Dont call it pizza wont order ever again Go in for their slices instead!

Best pizza ever!

Unfortunately this will be my first and last visit to this place. I ordered two calzones on Sunday August 30th and one of them had two pieces of wood inside. I bit into it and it punctured my gums. It looks like it came from a cheap wood pallet, one of the blue ones. Dangerous and disappointing that it got through the whole restaurant and into somebodys food.

I decided to try their delivery special, big mistake. I had to call an hour after I ordered to see when it would arrive, as it stated 40 minutes delivery time. No apology or acknowledgement that they were immensely late with the order. By the time the pizza arrived it was hard and cold. Never again.

Service was bad and really slow. I ve been going there for years and now they are under new management. I ordered two pizzas and waited outside for 45 minutes. I walked in and they had completely forgot about my order. I am completely disappointed and got a refund!

Ordered a pepperoni and chicken pizza. It barely had any chicken on it. I ordered it at 7:30pm to be picked up at 8:45pm, but apparently that means cook the pizza ASAP and leave it out in the open to get cold and stale for an hour because thats what it was when I ate it. Severely disappointed.

Ordered from this place regularly anytime we wanted to get pizza. Id ask them to pull up our phone number to see what our last order was. No problems. Then one day they decided that they werent delivering a block past St. Clair anymore (Its literally only 3km from them straight up Jane St.). Offered no suggestions for any other Pizzaiolo franchises that would deliver to this area. The guy on the phone even questioned whether or not they had ever delivered to us, like I was making it up. Thats what customer loyalty is worth to this location I guess. Ive never written a restaurant review before, but here we are.

I usually order from the roncesvalles location and really enjoy Pizzaiolo s pizza but ordered a pizza saturday from the bloor location-I just moved- I got the spinach one as per usual) and was sent a disgusting, half frozen pizza for 28$ + tax!! I should have just bought a frozen pizza at the grocery, it would have been tastier.. and less expensive. Never ordering there again. AVOID!

I tried placing an order for delivery. I live ten min away by car ride. Hell I still would tip the driver a generous tip for that short of a distance. They said it was not in their area. The person who I spoke to even admitted they loose clientele because they only deliver in a small vicinity. It wasnt his fault. Nonetheless this is ridiculous. Whats the point of delivery if you cant travel a short distance. Is head office that cheap to not hire enough drivers and pay for gas? What a joke.

Ordered a customized vegan pizza and regular pizza. The crust was just how it should be. Fluffy, light + airy. Service and delivery was great. Theyre one of the best pizza places in the area and they really cater to everyone too. You can get gluten free and dairy options and they have a wide array of toppings. Highly recommend
