A warm atmosphere serving authentic Italian cuisines, including a large selection of wines guaranteed to satisfy every taste bud.
I should have done this long ago. Trio is a not only a culinary treat, but the staff, atmosphere and owner are true gems. Fabulous food with family, and you don't need to cook! Thank you Shiva, John et al, you are wonderful!
**** TERRIBLE - MUST READ ***. Yes. It was a Skip order. However, does that mean it’s a second class citizen order? Seems to me lots of people like Skip. Do you? Then beware! You will be subject to old fashioned discrimination as if you should be at the back of the bus. It’s simple. I said - No peppers. Right? And it’s about the food. So the food matters. It’s the only job. Literally the ONLY job. And the food was slathered in peppers even though I asked for none. Ok. Fine. Mistakes happen. So I called the restaurant. Well! This is the fun part. Can’t help you. Won’t help you. Let’s see - order a coke and I’ll resend the order. Oh! Great idea. By the time the coke gets here it’ll be a $18 coke with fees and tax and delivery charge PLUS the original order cost which will make the meal close to $60. Thanks for that. Good solution. Or come by the restaurant. Really? Why do you think I ordered Skip. So I could drive there. Park. Walk in. Get food. Go back to my car. Drive home. And eat it. Again - thanks for the “solution”. Works for them. But not me. And guess who’s fault it was? There’s. But basically - bugger off. We have your money. We did it wrong. Take a hike. So I hear you ask - what’s the solution? Here it is. Have the cook make a new one. Have him drive it over. Don’t pay him for the time it takes. And I get it. Saturday night. Restaurant full. Can’t afford to send someone out. Impossible. That’s exactly the point. Guaranteed he, and the restaurant, won’t forget and make the same “don’t give a damn” mistake twice. Take responsibility. Be a person with integrity. But it’s just easier to give customers the middle finger. And grab the cash and run. This type of craven, money grubbing, customers don’t matter attitude deserves zero stars.
This is the best place to go for a nice first date or any celebration of occasion! The food is amazing and mouth-watering. 🤤 I will be going back to this place again. Everything was fresh and the presentation was spectacular.
"Rarely do I find myself so thoroughly amazed by a restaurant experience, but this place exceeded all expectations. The food was simply outstanding, each item outshining the last, making it incredibly difficult to pick a favorite. Every dish was executed flawlessly, leaving us in awe. And to top it all off, the staff were equally incredible. Our server, whose name unfortunately escapes me, was exceptionally attentive and truly enhanced the overall experience. Our waitress also took the time to share the fascinating story behind why there are three coffee beans atop the espresso martini, adding an extra layer of charm to the evening. It's these thoughtful touches that truly set this restaurant apart. Highly recommend!"
Neighbourhood gem! We heard about it through word of mouth. A very warm welcome at the door and a perfect table by the window. The wines are reasonably priced. We had a light and crispy Pinot Grigio, perfectly chilled. The charcuterie board was perfect for 3 people to share: thinly sliced salami, prosciutto and mushrooms with baby greens and a large sliced tomato. Tender scallopoine in a cognac sauce, a wood fired pizza and a pasta with roasted tomato sauce were our three tasty entrees. We finished with cannolis and Americanos. Cozy and quiet ambiance. Superb service by Lexie! We'll be back!
The food was good and reasonable, we had ossobuco and pizza. The diavola shrimp was very spicy and the salads were good but pricey- the fennel salad and beet salad were 23$ each. We were seated upstairs, it was very quiet and cozy. The benches need some fixing, one had a large tear and the other kept tilting forward. Overall had a good experience and would go back to try other items on the menu.
I had the pleasure of dining at a charming Italian restaurant midtown tonight . Despite not having planned to eat there, my friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the warm and cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The staff were also very friendly, making it a memorable experience that I would highly recommend. This place is in my list of favourites for sure😉
Trio is a great Italian restaurant on Yonge Street, just north of Lawrence. If you’re planning a visit, I would highly recommend any one of their pizzas (I’ve had most of them) and a number of their pasta dishes, my personal favorites being: Lasagna, Cannelloni and Linguine Bolognese. They do these really well. My partner ordered the Salmon which is a staple for her and I had the pizza which was eggplant, olives and scarmoza cheese. The staff is extremely personable and will always provide a good wine recommendation if you need help. It’s a perfect neighborhood eatery, known to locals and provides take out. The dining room is quite large (two floors - request seating on the first floor) and they also have a small sidewalk patio which makes for a nice experience. This is not a place that will compete with a Buca in its former glory or a Guiletta. And that’s not what they’re pretending to be. It’s a nice place for locals to get some old school Italian food. Worth a visit if you find yourself in North Toronto.
Great good and service! Nice atmosphere.
Amazing service, amazing food! Highly recommended! My grandson loves the place:) Staff are friendly and warm.
Good quality restaurant with typical Italian fare. Very popular and busy, but excellent service.
Food were amazing, service top notch . And we are so happy to have gluten free accommodation.
I went for lunch with 2 friends. It was not too busy on a Tuesday afternoon. The bread was just delicious. The service was great. My friend has some dietary restrictions and eating issues which we both easily accommodated. I had the grilled calamari which was great but a huge portion. My wish would be for them to have a proper lunch menu with half portions pasta and some sandwiches/panini. We sat outside on the edge of the resto we enjoyed the sun and the air conditioning. Enjoyed the meal
Im a tradesman had a craving for a pizza. Googled the area. Thats how i ended up here. The service was great! The waitress was very attractive and attentive. I Had the Margherita pizza. They served delicious garlic bread as a side. Water accompanied my Peroni. My first time there and already bragging about this place. Thanks for a great lunch... the Camo Hat man...cheers!! Oh and nice patio!!
If you want to have real and best pizza in Toronto, then you go to Trio Restaurant and order one! My favourite is 4 Stagioni mix!
Great neighborhood restaurant, love their seasonal specials Highly recommended Food
Trio appears to be a nice neighbourhood spot with a great patio. Its typically busy on a night with nice weather and having moved to the area recently, we decided to give it a try. The food was almost inedible. My wifes Orecchiette alla Barese was swimming in grease and the sausage was barely cooked. I ordered a mushroom agnolotti special which I can only describe as swimming in milk with a hint of garlic flavour. Its too bad because the patio is really nice but we wont be back.
I have eaten here at least 100 times .yesterday lunch was terrible couldnt eat the spaghetti and meatballs. You would think the waitress would ask if the was an issue nope asked if I wanted to pack it to take home. LAST TIME and it was my go to place
stay away! The price of wine and food is way to expensive for average italian food.
Cant say enough good things about Trio Restaurant. The sign of a good restaurant, aside from its great food , service and atmosphere is when you refer a restaurant to friends and each and everyone of them thank you for the referral. Food
I had my Christmas party here, my appetizers and drinks were amazing. Very surprised that my chicken marsala had a lukewarm sauce no salt no pepper and no seasoning at all. I struck me really weird for set an Italian place to not have any flavor to their main dish. Apart from that the experience was amazing the staff that was helping our party were amazing and we love them
Went to try a new Italian place. I was pretty disappointed overall with the food for the price point. To start - 17$ Caesar salad that had no protein in it (just romaine, Parmesan and Caesar dressing). My friend ordered the calamari and said it was not crispy and rather bland tasting. The complimentary bread served with the apps was tasty. The penne alla vodka was gross. Instead of chunks of pancetta it was more of a ground beef texture (not chunks of pancetta which I am used to). The sauce was more of a red sauce than a pink traditional alla vodka sauce. The noodles were done al dente which saved the dish. I want to say the penne alla vodka was 24$. My friend ordered the lava cake which sounded great but the chocolate wasn t melted yet when it was served. The service was quick and friendly overall, other than waiting for our cheque to arrive. It was only at the end where we had to ask for our bill twice. Thankfully my friend looked at it and noticed three drinks that we did not order were in our bill (we just drank water). The server was dumbfounded and asked, Are you sure you didn t order these? As if he hadn t been serving us for the last 2 hours. It just felt like he tried to pull a fast one on us which felt not so great. We tipped 15% (I usually tip min 20%) which in hindsight now I wish we hadn t. We would not go back.
Vegetarian options: Great special home made pasta and steak Food
My wife and I chose this restaurant to take out my Mother for dinner. There were four of us and we ordered the fried seafood appetizer, lasangia, and two different pizzas with a white wine. All the dishes were tasty and the portions are fantastic so I would recommend this restaurant for all these reasons.. Our initial server, John, was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and daily specials. However, when we paid our bill with cash, which included a tip, the second waitor returned to our table with the bill to passively suggest we should tip more than what had been offered. This really turned us off from our experience. John said he would speak to the other waitor about the incident.
Phenomenal food, service was outstanding, and portions were very good. Highly recommend
Seafood based specials were fantastic - grilled octopus, lobster ravioli, very fresh and great flavours! saw someone order the ossobucco which looked amazing. Pizza is excellent with thin crust and great chew! Very attentive service and never felt rushed. Will definitely be back!!
The best pizza in Toronto
Food was amazing. Enjoyed the burrata special, the veal and lasagna. Our server was great. Cute low key spot with a mature crowd. Definitely going back.
Best low-key spot in the North Toronto area for Italian dining
This is the best pizza I have ever had and the staff is friendly. It s worth to have a taste.
Dinner was great. Service was great. Only issue, (which we can blame on Doug Ford and Justin Trudeau (especially Trudeau). Alcohol and wine is extremely expensive! We will not order alcohol anymore in restaurants.
The server was more fond of chatting with his buddy than tend to customers. By far the worst service experience.
Felt like I walked into a restaurant in a piazza in Rome. The pizzas and pastas are better than you ve ever experienced in other places in Toronto. Very authentic. The caprese salad, calamari, beef carpaccio, main dishes (seafood etc) were all perfection. The service was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend.
We were visiting our friend at the Canadian Forces College and she highly recommended this place. I must say it is a gem the food, the friendly staff and the ambiance. It would be our go to next time we visit Toronto.
Bland food. Horrible service.
Its a great restaurant with awesome Italiano food, I am shocked I didn t know about this place. Love it overall, kind staff.
The food portions were TINY. They charge a lot for what theyre serving. The tables are small so it is very uncomfortable. The washrooms are filthy. Overall very unsatisfactory.
Tiny portions (unless you order pizza maybe). I spent $30 on pasta and left feeling hungry.. atmosphere is ok but space feels tight and crowded. Service was quick enough.
Beautiful restaurant and great food. Thanks Lexie for the wonderful service! The scaloppine where delicious Food : 5/5
Pizza is superb
It was the worst tasting pasta I have ever had. We had salad and desert. Both were not good Food
Food is very good And clean. Washroom are big and so clean
Kid-friendliness: They are open to adapting their menu options for kids Food
The worse experience. We got charged for extra drinks we didnt get. The price of the tequila shot was $20 on the menu, on they billed andbcharged us $35. They wouldnt even refund the money or apologize. We had to find out from the bill the next day. Thieves.
Nice and cozy place, Great service, and delicious food. Had the ortalana pizza and fennel salad. Both were tasty.
I actually eat a lot of pizza made here, and I always find well-organized and tasty pizzas. The best pizza resraurant attract you as well. The frequent visitors know the secret treasure in Toronto.
Amazing place.
The best italian pizza in WHOLE town!!!dont hesitate and thanks me later!!!
Good food and kind and caring waitress. Great collection of wine. But the winning card of the night was the crème brûlée.
After dining at Trio Ristorante for two busy Friday nights in June and July, I want to recognize our server Anthony, who clearly demonstrated he genuinely cares about the happiness of all customers, including those who may not be in the section of the restaurant hes serving. During my first visit in June, my family wanted to spontaneously enjoy the summer weather so we asked the hostess for patio table without reservation. However, the three of us couldnt squeeze into an available table for two. While we deliberated where to go next, Anthony walked by and offered to help find a solution for an immunocompromised elderly family member who is not personally willing to risk dining indoors. Anthony opened up the large second floor of the restaurant, which we didnt know existed, which required him to walk up and down the stairs to proactively check if were OK on a regular basis. When another group wanted to sit beside us on the second floor, Anthony naturally asked if they were OK to sit a bit further in order to keep some distance from my immunocompromised elderly family member who gets sick easily. #2. During my second visit in July, we made sure to reserve a patio table but didnt sit in Anthonys section. When it started raining, the tarp canopy above the patio sagged, but our server continued as usual. Fortunately, as Anthony glanced by on his way to serve his section, he walked over and used his hand to carefully drain the middle of the sag, while commenting the canopy would break and get everyone wet if its not drained. #3. Besides exceptional customer service by Anthony, the food on both regular menu and specials of the day were delicious and moderately priced for the higher quantity. Our family enjoyed the funghi trifolati, beet carpaccio, seafood spaghetti, halibut, filetto di spigola, petto di pollo marsala, and the special cooked every few months of sea bass al cartoccio which absorbed the flavour of vegetables and herbs. Desserts were satisfying with affogato and mango panna cotta, while tiramisu and cannoli met my expectations.
Excellent food, excellent quality, friendly and professional service, highly recommend it. Lexie our server was jovial, animated, super professional, and suggested great choices for our dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and well certainly be back. Bravo Trio Ristorante team! 6*+ The charcuterie board is a must!
Service was great, but the food was frankly disappointing. I dont mind paying a lot for food, that is why I was there, but the quality of the dishes I ordered was unfortunately very substandard compared to Sugo or Grazie, for example, places a lot more reasonably priced than Trio. 83 dollars for a pasta, a pizza and a salad is a price you need to earn, not with lackluster food. (Note also, bizarrely no pepper come out o the pepper grinder, when the guy came to our table)
We had Xmas buffet lunch. Not much selection and the food doesnt look fresh especially the salad. Hot food is okay but they dont taste great. Waitresses are friendly. Not much of Xmas feeling at all. A good place for chatting as there are not many customers. Food
Great pizzas! Dough is delicious.
Very unprofessional
Real Italian food, lovely staff, great vibe! Done miss the pizza and vodka pasta.
The service alone was enough to give Trio a full 5 stars! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our party of 6!
Nice ambience and nice service.
Ordered Capresse, lasagna and gnocchi with meat sauce via Uber eats. Each dish was tasteless! Messy presentation! The only spice detected was oregano on the Capresse salad which is not typical on Capresse. Food was bland. Very very very disappointing!
Best Italian in north Toronto
Excellent cuisine and wines! Friendly and prepared staff.
Absolutely spectacular meal! Six of us went for a Saturday night dinner and every dish was spectacular! In addition to the food, the service was fabulous. Our server, Anthony, was phenomenal. His excitement over every dish was contagious and really helped make the night out extra special. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Horrible creme brulee. $13 for a little cup is robbery. Was told if I didnt like it not to order it. Seems fair but at the same time doesnt seem to value their customers. Its the last time they will see my money. I was not expecting a party size but definitely not even close to what is advertised. For that kind of money there is more of an expection, one which the restaurant failed horribly at.
Pizza was good and nice service
We ordered 2 pizzas to be delivered. As always, pizzas are excellent! May we suggest that the pizzas boxes should be sealed? One lid was open upon delivery... Thanks!
I normally dont like giving a five-star review on a takeout. But I must say they make a very good pizza authentic napolitan pizza made by a napolitan. Wood fired thin crust very good pizza. This restaurant looks clean the staff was very friendly and very helpful would definitely like to go back and eat in and try some of their other good food
Very unfriendly. Food is good but not worth the attitude not even close. Two doors up Gambroni much friendlier And food at least as good
Had a delicious pizza and great wine for dinner here!
Another level culinary heaven
Very nice Italian restaurant in North Toronto. A top choice in a crowded market. Staff are usually very friendly and helpful.
Delicious
Hi First time for this restaurant and I am so pleased with my order Oracchiatta Baresa ! Absolutely Delicious! I called b4 ordering to make sure sausages were not spicey and was told they arent. Thank You whoever I spoke with .you were 100% right! I will definitely be ordering from Trio again. Yu have 1 happy customer !!! Thank Yu!!
Popular local Italian restaurant. Extensive menu with several chefs specials on offer the couple of times Ive visited. Downstairs has a great lively atmosphere and the upstairs is a bit more spacious and quiet.
Cozy restaurant, very tasty food, staff so friendly, highly recommended, btw there Tiramisu is worth to try it.
Wow. So glad this place is still thriving. Bravo Giovanni and Shiva
First time trying this restaurant after years living in the area. Ordered for pick-up Spaghetti Bolognese and beef carpaccio. Portions were very small and tasteless. Had to add salt, black pepper, parmesan cheese and olive oil to give the food a bit of taste. They dont even serve bread nor cheese or even ask if you would like some. Not sure if the quality of the food is so poor because of the pandemic or if the food has always been like that. Very disappointed with this experience. Hopefully the dine in experience is better.
My daughter and I booked dinner here based on the online ratings and it was everything people said it was and more. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. The food was delicious and the presentation beautiful. The wine selection was excellent and our server Erica was friendly and very knowledgeable. Were definitely going to visit again!
Amazing food. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful time had! Will definitely go back.
Great food GREAT service like always
Super Fresh pizzas! The atmosphere of the resturant is warm The only thing that I ( as a chicken lover) was not satisfied with, is the fact that they don t have any chicken- pizza option at all! ( I am fully aware that it s an italian restaurant but they do have meat options ) I loved my pizza, and the veggie pizza was nice as well.
Very good. Pleasant from start to finish.
Food and service was exceptional. The tiramisu is out of this world.
Very nice atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food.
This is our second time to Trio and both visits were great. Lots of options and everything is delicious. The owners are Italian and take pride in their food.
Came here with my boyfriend but the hostess denied our reservation. She said the OpenTable app was wrong and shouldn t have booked our reservation. So we asked her how long of a wait.. she said 55 mins. So we left, walked around to find another restaurant but no luck. 10 mins later.. We walked back to our car, that was across from the restaurant and we seen so many empty tables. I honestly feel like the hostess didn t want to seat us and was probably racist. Her approach to us wasn t welcoming at all. She didn t even try to accommodate us, given we came from so far.. and we told her this. Ruined our night!
So let me start off by saying the food is exceptional. Ceaser salad amazing. Every pasta dish was perfect the shrimp beautifully cooked. Desserts all perfect. My issue was the wait staff. Out of the whole restaurant only one wait staff a younger gentleman was the only one who was professional. Our waiter spilled wine in our water cup I had to ask for a new one. Also the wine was split on the wine glasses as it was being poured. She has no napkin waiting on her arm to pick up any of the spilled wine Cutlery also had to be asked for. When we ask what was in the fancy bread they responded with very short answers. As well the service to receive the food is extremely slow. Food amazing. Servers are very poor and slow and not friendly. Except for the one gentleman
Their food is very good. But I think with the amount of money you pay, its unacceptable for a restaurant to shirk the health and safety of its customers. The air of prententiousness in the dining room belies whats going on in the kitchen. Despite the good food, I wont be eating here again. This was in the Toronto Star and can be found on DineSafeTO: Trio Ristorante Pizzeria located at 3239 Yonge St was issued a conditional pass on Nov. 25 for the following infractions: - Fail to ensure food handler in food premise washes hands as necessary to prevent contamination of food areas - Fail to provide thermometer in refrigeration equipment - Use food equipment not of readily cleanable form - Use utensils not in good repair - Mechanical equipment not maintained to provide sufficient chemical solution rinse Two other restaurants in the neighbourhood that have also received conditional passes in the past month: A La Turk, and Dim Sum Queen. Riz also has a constant conditional pass. Meanwhile, the hole-in-the-wall pub nearby has a full pass - its not hard. These places need to take more pride in their establishments. Ive eaten with friends here at my suggestion and its embarassing to learn of the lacking intergrity at such a high-end place.
Meals are always fresh, delicious and consistent.
Great atmosphere. Food did not disappoint. Had the Ossobuco. So tender.
Their food in general is below average. I didn t like any of the dishes that I have ordered. I was so happy that they had mashroom risotto on their menu but it was disappointing when I tried it!
I don t recommend this place. I ordered pasta with mushrooms. They didn t put any mushrooms in my order. I asked them about it and they told me that they changed the menu. The waiter didn t acknowledge us that they changed menu. They served me different food but their respond was just sorry . Their apology didn t change my food tho...
Their food was just okay(pizza and risotto were good, but the risotto was overpriced). And the service was .....disappointed :-( The waitress who served our table was wonderful, she did the best!! But another waiter who brought food, drink, and bill was so inhospitable :-( Because of him, we are not sure we re going to visit again :(
Loved everything about the restaurant - the attentive service, authentic Italian food & ambience. Highly recommend.
Quaint restaurant, food was delicious. Didnt feel rushed. Only bummer was online menu is different then the one at the restaurant. That could be due to covid. Otherwise, Id come back.
Nice little restaurant friendly staff and tasty food.
Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. If you ask for something they re really accommodating too. The atmosphere is very beautiful and warm. The pros end there. I hope the other dishes are good, but my girl had the lasagna and I got the pistachio gnocci(we got takeout). Both dishes were piping hot to touch and steaming, but lukewarm inside and I have a very strong suspicion they were microwaved. The sauce was very watery for both dishes and my gnocchi felt very mushy. In addition to all that, the portion sizes are PAINFULLY small. Do not expect to feel very full after your meal, which cost roundabout $20 each. If I can get the same quality at the frozen food section of my supermarket for $8 each why do I need to come to this place?
My dinner as well as my husbands was not good. I ordered their special Sea bass which was tasteless and overcooked. My husband ordered the limone pollo and it was undercooked. I also ordered the special of the night career salad which consisted of 1 piece of burrata and some tomato slices with 6 olives. Cost $21.00!! Buyer beware of the specials. Ask for prices. To the restaurants credit they did not charge me for the sea bass.
Great food, love the burrata, the meat sauce was delicious
Great place with awesome food and service!
Amazing food. Awesome, professional staff and service. A night out here is always a great night.
Family owned rustic traditional Italian. The kind of place where the owner is on first name terms with his customers. Don t bother looking at the menu, just listen to the specials bought fresh that day at the market and you won t be disappointed. Unless of course you re after pasta or pizza, in which case you re also in for a treat, especially the pizza made from fresh dough and cooked in the wood burning pizza oven. Been coming for years and will continue to do so.
Very good
Came for 5-course Valentines day dinner, the restaurant was so overwhelmed with orders that we had to wait hours for the dishes to get served. We came at 7:30 and the main dishes were served at 10:00, giving up desserts. It wasnt only us but all tables. Ive never seen all tables complaining about the service. I know the food and service is good on regular days here, but the service on the Valentines day was so poor that everyone in the restaurant lost their appetite. If you want to offer a prix fixe menu, 3-course would be enough.
Delicious calamari for appetizer, nicely done thin pizza (~10) could feed 2. Dessert was special is the day, apple strudel with vanilla gelato was delicious! Especially the gelato! Very cozy vibe, quick service and friendly staff.
All delicious food, excellent place and attention.
Great food
My daughter and I favourite place to go. She is 7 and it s the only place where she eats all her pasta pomodoro. I love the food (authentic),the service and the little place has a very nice ambiance.
Amazing gem in the heart of Lawrence and Yonge. The garlic bread is served with amazingly soft garlic which has all the garlicky goodness and none of the strong garlic flavour. Have never tried such a thing! Ordered two pizzas, Caprese and Napoletana. Found out the anchovies in the Napoletana is something I am not a fan of. However, the Caprese was amazing! With just amazing boccocino cheese and cherry tomatoes bursting in your mouth with every bite! The tiramisu was to die for with the addition of fresh fruits which help in cutting the sweetness. Will definitely come back again to try the Risotto and the steak!
Food was very tasty. Service was friendly .Atmosphere was quaint I would recommend
Always a good meal; favourite of the neighbourhood
Squeezed us in last minute
Quite busy on a Saturday night so definitely make reservations. Server was great and knowledgeable of the daily specials. Meal came in a reasonable time and was delicious.
Last minute decision to go here last night with my family and it was a lovely experience - cute energy and a cozy vibe. The waitress was amazing. She was patient and suggested a fabulous bottle of wine, also at a very decent price point. The food was okay...Ive definitely had better Italian, but the service was great and all in all it was a nice evening. If you live mid-town and dont feel like venturing downtown, this is a great option.
Good and tasty Italian food. Friendly service. Highly recommend.
Food service and place are really good....normally you need to reserve
Trio is a fantastic place for great Italian food. I have been here often and havent found anything on the menu that I didnt like. Best choices : Penne a la Vodka, grilled Lamb chops, lasagna, beef carpaccio, and the risotto is always outstanding!
Great service, great food and very reasonably priced. Its our neighborhood go to!!
Very pleasant! The waitress was fantastic! Food has consistently been good! We really enjoyed the ambiance and the custom pizza oven makes authentic Itallian foods.
Excellent food beautifully plated.
Delightful restaurant with efficient, friendly service. We all ordered fresh pasta dishes and none of them disappointed, although portions could have been slightly more generous. The bread with oil served while we waited was super delicious. Enjoyed the simply elegant ambiance.
Excellent food.... Excellent service... Excellent experience
Good food, friendly staff, great selection of wine and nice ambiance... definitely will come back to try their woodoven baked pizzas
Good food, great service. Ill be back...
Great food; great atmosphere.
By far the best pizza in the city! The most authentic Italian and so cozy and quaint. The staff were so lovely. I can t wait to go back!
Expensive for the quality of mains. My partner and I were showing a friend around from out of town and went to the restaurant last week as a treat. We had a pretty disappointing experience. My 4 cheese pizza was average at best, and gave me quite a bad stomach ache for the next half day. My partners Gnocchi looked and tasted like little dough balls. No texture no flavour. The real disappointment was that the sauce for this Gnocchi tasted like it came from a can of Chef Boyardee. The problem seems to be their menu as its way too long and the specials took about 10 minutes to get through.
Awesome food...awesome service...great atmosphere. Will definitely revisit this place!!!
Welcoming and attentive staff. Delicious food with a good selection of wine. We had a lovely time at this authentic Italian restaurant. We would definitely recommend.
Great authentic Italian food. The lamb shanks are to die for. Theyre succulent and flavourful. Service was great and we found the atmosphere matching restaurants we had visited before in Italy - its an opportunity to socialize with your party rather than an in-and-out opportunity where youre rushed to leave... The deserts are also authentic and all made in-house.
Wonderful cozy Italian style ristorante. Excellent food and terrific wine list great friendly service.
Never fails to exceed my expectation. Great food great service.
The food was good but the service was subpar. Initial waiter was very rude with absolutely no customer service. We were a party of 8 and he expected us to be out in 1 1/2 hrs??? Luckily another waiter by the name John offered us a table upstairs and we were able to have a nice dinner. He saved the night. The initial experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, so dont think I will will recommend this place to any of my friends or family.
My friend and I wanted to enjoy a nice dinner since we haven t seen each other in a while. We heard great things about trio so thought we d try it out. We ordered our drinks and salad and the waiter switched both of these between my friend and I. Then, the bread was brought to us. It tasted great until we saw the short hair floating around in the olive oil. We voiced our concerns and the waiter dismissed them. We then saw him taking a ladle of oil from the same container and pouring it onto the plate of another table s bread. We were mortified that they didn t replace this container of oil. We voiced our concerns only to have them completely dismissed saying that the hair must have flown onto the plate. Keep in mind that during this time, we waited for over an hour for our entree to arrive. We were one of the first tables to order and all the tables around us had already received their food. After over an hour of waiting and not getting our food, we asked the waiter for our bill and said we were leaving. They did nothing to compensate and showed no remorse. Will never go there again.
Food is good, but the service is better ! Especially Pamela, the Italian waitress, she offers us a great experience every time we eat there.
Amazing! Great food fantastic ambiance, incredible service love love love
Extremely delicious food. The restaurant itself is very small so when its busy there is can be quite hard to hear when someone is speaking to you. Otherwise, the food is great and the staff are wonderful. Food is well-seasoned and tastes fresh.
Excellent home style italian with a great wine selection.
Charming restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. Prices are mid range and food is always fresh with a decent selection of wines and daily specials. The service is is professional and friendly although it can get a bit hectic when they have a full house which is often so reservations are highly recommended if you don t want to be disappointed and you may have to wait a little longer than you might like for your food but it s always worth it.
Great food
The quality of food and service is spectacular. I recommend this place to lots of people and everyone I send has high reviews of their experience. Cant wait to go back!
Exceptional food and wait staff!
Excellent rendition of menu expectations. Flavorful and wholesome dishes. Costumer service is also impeccable.
Fantastic food, Penne with Pancetta and Vodka sauce was to die for
Great food, small and authentic feel, very European. Love it!
Worst experience will definitely never return. Staff was not attentive and ignored us for 45 minutes. Pasta finally arrived over cooked, bland no taste just awful. That explains why the place was half empty. No one seemed to care either, will gladly take my money elsewhere.
Service was pathetic.
Great little Italian restaurant with pasta, pizza, salads and other great food.
Used to be a great restaurant, especially their pizza. I returned for the first time in a long time and the food was awful. The pizzas used to be made by one of the owners who was Italian and now being made by someone else and it shows.. It was so bad. They have also doubled their prices. Pizza not too long ago was $10.50 is now $18.00 dollars...pastas are $25 dollars and up...no thanks will not be going back. The food is not worth it.
Terrible! We were a party of 12. The main course arrived in a piecemeal fashion. 2 of the meals came 20 minutes after the next to last. They had been sitting for a while as the top of the meat was warm whereas the bottom was cold. The server when told, said the kitchen was busy. We also order 2 bottles of wine. When the server poured the wine into one of the glasses. a fly was discovered in the glass. The server asked the individual if they wanted another glass of wine, and, when the answer was yes, a new glass of wine was brought to the table. This replacement glass was the charged on the bill. When questioned as to why, the explanation was that a full glass was brought to the table. We will not be going back to the restaurant.
Most boring vegetarian dish ever - grilled veggies covered in olive oil.
Had a delicious dinner at Trio tonight. The servers were knowledgeable and attentive and the food was perfectly cooked. I would have licked my plate if it wouldnt appear to be rude! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Very nice restaurant. All foods made fresh on premises. Owner and staff are very nice and accommodating.
Trio is as close to perfect as it gets. Their fish is remarkable!! When my sons in town, he always wants to have a meal at Trio!! Love it!!
Awesome Menu & great simple Pizza
Good salads, pasta was decent, lamb chops overcooked, tender osso bucco but tasted like it had been boiled or pressure cooked. Good service but always in sales mode. Negative - reading dinner specials w/o prices. Red wines start at $55/bottle
great pizza and service
The staff were excellent and patient with our very loud holiday celebration dinner. The food is always great there and last night was exceptional. Thank you to the staff and chef.
