Food was great and everyone got their food together. Service was also great - they were accommodating for our big group especially with going a gift exchange, they also did split bills and needed no minimum spend. It s hard to find places that do this. Happy hour also goes till 530pm!

Za Cafe has a diverse pizza and pasta menu. All the items have appropriate portion sizes and have balanced flavors. The service was amazing, no complaints are necessary. I recommend trying the fig pizza which is not too sweet and salty. 4.5/5 stars

Great food and service. However, the melted cheese pan is very very strong. My husband loves the cheese but me not so much...not even the bread that came with it, it is soooo hard. Vegetarian options: I got the creamy chicken pasta but they were able to make it vegetarian for me.

I came in to get a hot pizza on a cold day. The bartender, whos name escapes me, was a very nice guy and pretty easy to talk to. I want to mention, their front door has a hard time closing. Im pretty sure its just from the wind, but the door stays open slightly. The bartender, servers, a customer, and myself were taking turns shutting the door. I stuck between getting the Fig, Duck, and Veal pizzas. I asked which one the bartender would recommend, and he said to do the Veal. I got my pizza and it was good. 12 inch, thin crust brick oven pizza. Pretty much like a steak house pizza. It was good. Pretty pricey but I expected that when going to get pizza downtown. Id go back to try other pizzas and to see the bartender to chat again.

I was doing uber today and i went there for an order and i waited there for 30 min And the order was for 5 dollar and the I canceled that order because of them because they already wasted my 30 mins and the staff was so rude Very bad experience

Za has some of the best pasta in Toronto, hands down. I tried their Mushroom Mufalda pasta, which got me addicted to this place! The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, and so was the Mufalda / Mufaldine pasta al dente and with a nice bite. Overall, with the Parmigiano on top, the dish was super creamy and delicious. Za is definitely one of the underrated spots in Toronto. Their pastas, pizzas and desserts are a must-try! Vegetarian options: Mushroom Mufalda, various vegetarian pizzas, Mushroom risotto and more. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan.

The pizza (although not what I ordered) was very good, but the service was almost non-existent. I ordered a truffle pizza with prosciutto on top. It took 30 minutes to come despite only one other table being seated in the place and came with no prosciutto. The waitress said she would get me a side of it. She never did bring the prosciutto and I finished 3/4 of the pizza without her ever coming back. So I had to reach out and ask for a box. The extra prosciutto cost was still on the bill which I had to ask to get taken off. Also the waitress did not know how to properly pour a draught beer and used multiple glasses to try and minimize the amount of foam. Overall, food tasted good, but the execution was abysmal.

Excellent pizza!

The food is good but I had to wait 40 minutes for my food when it wasn t exactly busy. Additionally, another couple who came in after me and ordered after me received their food before I did. The staff are quite friendly but the wait was a bit too much all things considering.

It was our first time coming to this place tonight. The waitresses were super nice and welcoming as soon as we walked in. The seating and vibe was also very nice and enjoyable. Water was served right away and we were soon offered drinks and food. Eventually when we ordered, the food came quick and was super fresh and warm. The risotto and the pizza were both incredible. Overall it was a great experience, great food, and a phenomenal time. Shoutout to our server Elise for the splendid service:)

Went here for dinner the other night. We ordered the pesto green pasta, mushroom pizza and meat lovers pizza. The mushroom pizza was delicious and a must try. The pasta was a bit bland in taste and the meat lover pizza was on the spicy side. The space is quite small and the tables are close to each other. Also, the washrooms were not the cleanest. Overall, a decent restaurant to try if you are in the area looking for a quick bite.

Food was too good. Wish we weren t going out after so that we could pack up the leftovers! Service by sumeet was great. You could taste how good quality the espresso was in the espresso martini, 10/10

I came before and had a good experience but last night wasn t so good. The pizza was greasy and the waiter was just really slow. Had to ask for the same thing multiple times.

My friends and I walked in on a fairly quiet Saturday evening and were seated within minutes. We ordered the mushroom risotto, margherita, vegetarian and tandoori chicken pizza. For pastas, we got pesto, mushroom mafalda and carbonara. The vegetarian pizza, pesto and mushroom mafalda were definitely our top 3 picks. We finished off with tiramisu which was delicious! Atmosphere was lovely and our sever Sumit was attentive and quick.

The caprese salad, the fig pizza, the tiramisu, I had this tonight and loved it. In addition, great service from Parker. This place is a must in down Toronto.

I always pass by the area but never noticed this restaurant due to all the scaffolding around. Pizza was very fresh and crisp. They definitely make the best pizzas on Bay St.

I was recommended to try this place by my son. The scaffolding made it a bit difficult to find but it did not disappoint! One of the best pizzas Ive ever had. Will be coming back for sure. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the grilled calamari and mushroom pizza. Good casual spot - my wife and I along with our 4 year old daughter. Even the little one enjoyed all the flavour Kid-friendliness: Here with a 4 year old. Great.

I had no expectations as I was just walking by and decided to pop in. The customer service was great (staff were very pleasant) the food came out very quickly (given it was not that busy) and the pizza was amazing. Looking forward to returning and trying other items on the menu.

The food was decent overall, but the Mushroom Mafalda really stood out. Every bite was packed with mushrooms, and it was delicious! The Pepperoni Pizza was just okay not particularly memorable. One disappointing aspect was when the server offered us dressing without mentioning it came with an extra charge. This felt misleading, as dressings are typically included unless stated otherwise. Clear communication about additional charges would have been appreciated.

Everything was a bit salty, but that may just be personal preference. The fried eggplant pizza was exceptional. The margharita was ok. If I lived in town Id try it again to see if maybe it was just an off night.

Went to Za on a whim while in the city and I must say the food was amazing! We had the spicy mussels, 3 different Za s and beef carpaccio! All of them we amazing but I cannot wait to go back for the beef carpaccio. It was soo delicious. Our server was prompt, polite, personable and a delight to have serve us! I would definitely recommend going to Za and will definitely be back.

I ve never been inside this establishment, but I have ordered their pizza on Uber Eats multiple times. Whoever came up with the spicy sausage pizza recipe, come here so I can kiss you on your lips. I have tried their other pizzas they re equally good. Can t wait to try their pasta. The reason why I ordered the first time is because they had 2 for 1 special. And, oh boy, do I keep ordering from their 2 for 1 late night special pretty consistently. That spicy sausage pizza is like family to me Don t forget to get a trio of their sauces to dip the crust in! I still can t believe they make everything from scratch. The spicy sausage pizza is made from scratch? Who do I kiss? When? Please, let me know. I m ready.

An unplanned gem of a find!

Discovered this restaurant when visiting Toronto. My pesto pasta was really good and service from the head waiter was excellent. Bit of a mix up on my appetizer order but it was quickly corrected. Compared to many restaurants in the area the pricing was really good.

Amazing food and excellent hospitality! After hearing many good things about this place, I decided to visit, and it was definitely worth it. The hosts provided an exceptional welcome. The servers were attentive, constantly refilling water and checking in without being intrusive. I will definitely return!

Came in for a bite to eat with a friend and was blown away by the atmosphere, pasta and service! The Lamb Ragu is a delight to behold and our server Parker was attentively sweet both to us and to the other patrons. Will definitely be coming back!

Read the good reviews and decided to give it a shot. 100% accurate - pizza was amazingly good - even better than my last trip to Italy and even the cheap house Italian wine was fantastic - we will be back! Seafood risotto was also fantastic and it kept my wife from stealing too much of my pizza!!!

The Margherita and Creamy Chicken pasta were the best! I was torn between the Carbonara and Creamy Chicken, but I wanted the sauce to be more like whipped cream than egg yolk, so I went with the Creamy Chicken...and it turned out great! If you like creamy sauces more than egg yolks, I highly recommend the Creamy Chicken pasta. FYI, I discovered that happy hour is from 2-5pm (I dont know if this includes weekends), and some of the menu items are half price during this time. I remember the Margherita and Pesto Green are two of those dishes, but I dont remember the others. This restaurant is very close to the Eaton Centre and dishes are so good, so Ill definitely be back!
