Pizzapide restored
Great experience. Arif's cooking skills are perfect, and the taste of the food is excellent.
I regret to say that my experience at this restaurant was far from what I had anticipated. AS SOMEONE VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN, I called ahead to inquire about the sourcing of the chicken and beef, and I was met with a helpful response. However, when I arrived in person and politely asked about the origin of the salami, I WAS TAKEN ABACK by the staff member's reaction. Initially, she mentioned Saputo, then corrected herself to Solomaz, which was perfectly acceptable. However, when I sought a bit more clarity on the matter, the TONE SHIFTED DRAMATICALLY. The staff member became visibly upset, raised her voice, and began to chastise me for asking. I was simply inquiring out of curiosity—not questioning the halal authenticity of the food—yet her response felt unnecessarily HARSH and, FRANKLY, UNWARRANTED. It's important to understand that the halal food industry has grown significantly in recent years, and with that growth has come an INCREASE IN FRAUDULENT CLAIMS. Given this, it's only natural for some customers to ask more detailed questions about the sourcing of products. In this context, I believe a more courteous and patient response would have been more appropriate. After all, TRANSPARENCY is key for businesses, especially in an industry as important as halal, where trust is paramount. Sadly, the interaction left me FEELING UNWELCOME and UNCOMFORTABLE. I ended up LEAVING AFTER JUST ONE BITE, as the mood was irrevocably soured. I’ve always believed that a guest should be treated with the utmost respect, and this experience was quite the opposite. In my opinion, when a customer asks for specifics—especially about something as important as halal certification—it should be seen as an opportunity to build trust, not to create conflict. A more measured and gracious approach would have certainly been more in line with the hospitality one expects in any reputable establishment. If you take the time to read through previous reviews, you'll notice a recurring theme regarding an issue with customer interactions, which seems to stem from a lack of professionalism and patience. I hope that this feedback is taken constructively, as I genuinely believe this could be a lovely place with a more thoughtful approach to customer service. Food was excellent.
It was wonderful. I got the Roast Lamb and mozzarella which was number 10. Next time I'll try pepperoni or sausage. Lamb was good. Garlic Dip or Hotsauce is extra 75 cents. Hot sauce is strong. Personally, I didn't like it. However, that was made up with the Garlic dip which was amazing.
I tried Turkish Pide (Veggie Pide i.e. item 16 on their menu) for the first time and must say the Pide was truly amazing. Note that there are two veg options in Pide. The other option is item 17 (Spinach and cheese Pide). Must try.
Have driven by this place a few times when we finally had a chance to stop and try it! It was suggested we try either the #10 (lamb and cheese) or the #11 (Turkish sausage and cheese) and the person working kindly offered to do half and half! The dough was delicious and the lamb was very flavourful. We loved the parsley, onion and hot peppers to eat it with. Really enjoyed it!
It was a unique experience taking out pizza from this place. Unique because of multiple reasons: 1. Shape of pizza: it's a boat shaped pizza because it is actually a Pide, that is a Turkish flatbread/pizza 2. Accompanying sides: it has raw onion, chili and lemon in sides than usual oregano, chili flakes and EVOO 3. Taste: nowhere Italian but tastes amazing In a nutshell, do try it if you feel like up to an adventure. One pide is sufficient for only one person and hence I found it double price of what a pizza is at. I tried Spinach and Feta Cheese Pide as it was the best seller among two vegetarian options. Loved the taste. Humble dining area, the place has tables and you can sit and dine in. Pizza was ready in 10-15 mins. You can call ahead if you want to do a takeout and not wait
Great Turkish pizza. Less bread and more toppings and cheese. Way Better than the standard NY pizza. Food is delicious. Try number 18 Pide which is their assorted toppings in a boat shaped pizza with folded sides. All toppings are delicious! The baklava is also pretty good.
UPDATE: Their pizza is really bad. Tomato paste is dominant. You can not taste any other ingredients! I do recommend their pide while their pizza is the worst. Maybe Turkish people like pizza with a lot of tomato paste, but I really don't. ORIGINAL: The exterior doesn't tell you how delicious the food will be. Just go in and try one of the Pides. We tried number 11, 18, and 20 from menu. All of them were great. One better than others. This is definitely one of the spots that I will visit frequently in future. The price is affordable and the food is extremely yummy.
Pide is delicious, so is garlic dipping sauce.
Delicious Pide, great flavor, love the sides of onions, Parsley, pickles chilis...my favourite is N10, with lamb.
excellent service, friendly staff and a great taste, we definitely recommend it.
Tried and true place. Best Turkish pizza. Hot and fresh - you won t regret coming here! :)
Excellent food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Best pide in Toronto
Wow fresh yummmmmm
This place is a staple in the neighborhood and in my life! Excellent delicious pide.
Love those Pides
Everything here is delicious, I don t do food reviews but please please go here keep this place running for years to come I just wish there were locations closer to when I live
The pita is really nice
Local mom and pop serving delicious pides. Order well before closing since they do closing depending on mood/ orders coming in or not
Little over priced. Still the best.
Honestly phenomenal
Good for the price but nothing amazing
Great pizza with amazing service. Price is very reasonable and the pizza is great. Only complaint is that the wait time is a bit long. The people there are great
Consistently amazing! I always get the sujuk pide and nothing can beat this place.
Cold place
There were four of us who ate at this place today, unfortunately, we all got bad stomach ache and nausea.
Must try Pizza Pide. Extremely delicious. The adds on the side (sauce, fresh parsley, onions and hot pickles) elevate the taste. Huge variety to choose from and some options for vegetarian. Parking: Plenty of parking at Gerard square across the street.
Great service and very nice staff, pide was good 4 stars because lamb was of low quality.
Amazing pizza!!!
The best pide in town!
Mediocre pizza and rude staff
Really good food, fresh and nice. All the staff are helpful and polite!!!
This place is really good with the people in it.
Absolutely amazing pizza
Mouth watering pizza. I don t like pizza to much, my daughter wanted pizza but this place hands down is the best. Nothing like keep up the good work fellas. Plus they are very kind. They treat everyone with respect. I literally seen a homeless person come in the store and they treated her like a regular human being. People like that a rare! Genuine kind souls that work there
Authentic fresh from the oven Pide galore!!!!
It was delicious. Service was nice.
Tried my first pide yesterday and SO glad I did. Super friendly service and really delicious alternative to regular pizza. Also seems healthier too!
Good place to try this type of pizza. I would recommend the one with all the different types of meets. It is a little small so you may be better off eating in your car. Staff was really nice but our order took close to an hour. They weren t too busy that day also
Great stuff. Served hot and fresh. Everything is halal so you dont have to worry about what youre eating. Staff is really friendly and kind. Liked everything about it!
Ate here in 2006, legendary place.
This place is absolutely one of the best pizzas in toronto hands down! Its must try especially for the prices as well!
The workers were super friendly and helpful! The Pides were delicious. Made them fresh in 10 minutes right in front of us.
Amazing turkish pides. Love the onions and little peppers that it comes with. Call ahead to save time. Food
The best pizza place in Riverdale. Tip them well, so the prices stay affordable. Plenty of leftovers from last night!
Great food, friendly service.
always delicious
Great neighbourhood gem! Wonderful Turkish flavours with excellent crust. Parsley, pickled peppers and raw onions were a great accompaniment. My only regret is that I didn t try this place sooner.
the prices of the food are fake, the real price is not shown!!!!!!@
This place has the best pride Ive ever had (even better than pides Ive had in Turkey). Been going there and sending people there for more than 10 years. And the staff are always extremely nice: the original owner and the current staff.
I got poisoned after eating the food. Would never recommend, customers beware!!!
11 years ago, 11 years ago we came and ate at this place when we were visiting Niagara Falls. They made such a good impression then we tried to find them today, when we were in Buffalo on a business trip, yes, after driving 2.5 hours, they are still there and they are still as good. Kudos to the owner. Best etli ekmek I ve ever had, mind you hubby is from Konya(birth place of this pide) Etli ekmek is a thin crusted, no sauce/no cheese type of pizza, what does it have instead? A delicious paste mix of meat, onion, peppers,, so yummy !!!! Highly recommended
We came to Toronto just to eat here and now we are going back to Buffalo,NY. It is how good the food here is. It reminds me the pides I eat in Turkey. Highly recommended.
Delicious food, ask for the hot and garlic sauce
Delicious Turkish pizza and always fresh.
I had never had Turkish Pizza Pide before. It is super fresh and delicious. They even made a Vegan one for me without any hesitation. Such nice and friendly owners and staff. So happy I have experienced the Turkish Pizza Pide. Vegetarian options: Just ask and they will customize one for you. Dietary restrictions: They made a Vegan version that was delicious! Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!
For an authentic Turkish pide, this is a must to visit. They also serve pizza as well. And if you are looking for some of those hard to find Turkish carrot juice, they have it in the fridge as well! Friendly staff and many local customers. Food
Delicious, especially with the raw onions and garlic sauce.
Very very delicious and friendly staff
It wasnt the Pizza Pizza I thought I was going to get. I was wanting a Hawaiian style pizza. With the dietary restrictions placed on the children of Abraham, anything pork isnt allowed... and Im not fond of pepperoni! I dont change easily so I asked her to recommend something without pepperoni... I ended up settling on a cheese on a flaky dough and it was going to take about 15 minutes to prepare... an ice cream bar was selected to keep myself and my dog entertained while we waited. Their freezer is set too cold and it was too hard to eat... even my dog found it too hard. The cheesy pastry combination didnt disappoint but next to a Hawaiian... Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible, 3 tall steps and no landing, no handrails...
Having recently visited Turkey I was craving some good sujok pide, and this spot gave me exactly what I was looking for. Fresh baked pide, amazing taste, and some nice small talk. If youre looking for pide, look no further!
Great food and great ladies making the pies here
Amazing pide and pizza. Ive been coming here since high school.
Yummy yummy find!
The best pizza in the city!
Good food Parking: Parking is not enough. Make sure to park in the plaza. The plaza in the front of the restaurant. Thank you everyone. Food : 5/5 |
good food but they need to keep that place clean. tables are dirty
AMAZING PIDE
I can say taste of Lahmacun and pide 0 nothing else,we spent almost $100 but no taste even dough of Lahmacun and pide like didn t prove anything before one man Mustafa he was doing perfectly, some lady did not bad today we ate some not tender nothing, ladies you need to improve your baking and how to make Lahmacun there s no olive oil to put on Lahmacun,we was so hungry and we ate it,00000
The Pide were served hot and they were delicious. Very courteous staff.
Very kind and generous owners, good place to stop by and have delicious Turkish pide.
Perfect crust, made with love and it shows. Highly recommend! Also, for takeout, it s alway packed with care and holds well (if you manage to have any leftovers).
No slices available for lunch on a Monday. Ordered a personal pizza. A slice anywhere else contains more pizza then the entire personal one. Wont be back. Huge disappointment.
This Turkish pizza is different from the traditional pizza ( shape, thin butter dough) I liked it. The place is small, clean, and has lots of pizza options! Parking: The free parking lot close to the supermarket
Excellent and affordable
Best Pizza ever, they are a family restaurant and very polite just a breath of fresh air there
1st time trying Turkish pizza and I m sold!!! Such a tasty version of a traditional pie! Can t wait to try all flavours! Food : 5/5
I love the Lahmacu and other Turkish flat breads here. They always come out just perfect! I been going here for years, used to get the food and sit across the street in the little park to eat, last week I went there and found out now they have sitting inside
Sooooo Delicious!!! If you have not been here you want to try it out. I know the interior design might not be the most appealing, all I can say is that food is not representative of the decor. Their pides (Turkish pizza) are so delicious and with really good quality ingredients. Its a must try
Not the best pide in town
Lovely warm Turkish pizza place, just when I needed warming up.
Irresistible pides. I love the Turkish sausage and cheese.
I supported this place all through covid in 2020 right through to present. 1 to 3 times per month. Tonight, after a 3 week illness my appetite finally came back. I dropped in to order a pie at 9:40 only to be told they had decided to close early. How many of us have the option of just deciding well knock off work early? I will never spend a dime of my hard earned money in this place again
Love Turkish sausage and sp nach-feta pide
Loved the taste of pides.
Great food, great staff, excellent flavors, all in all a great experience
Total disappointment. I ordered from here on uber eats. They charged $16.99 for small. With uber fees it came to $20. The size of the pizza is no way worth $20. I think i got ripped off big time. Honestly its like a small pizza on nun bread. Never again. Please dont rip people off like this. Thank you.
Turkish Pizza was good. Nice variety.
I had number 10 lamb and mozzarella. It was very tasty.
This place makes the best turkish pizza in toronto, I always come here and get the assortment pizza with everything and it always taste amazing with the side onions and chilis. Highly recommend to all my friends and family
Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. The food was good, but it would be better if the menu had greater diversity of choices like traditional pizza places.
PIDE as good or better than I had in Istanbul and Antalya. Really good, authentic, quality Pide. Super friendly, shiny staff :). I will come back again very soon!
Really yummy and feels healthy - I love #20 - spinach and beef. And the fresh onion, tomatoes and parsley that comes in the box allows you to craft each bite to your liking.
Awesome pide with fresh ingredients baked well! Friendly and smiling staff make the meal double enjoyable. Will definitely recommend it and will come back to try other items on the menu. Order: #6 and spinach feta
Amazing taste
First time trying this place yesterday even though Ive lived in the area for 17 years! Very clean establishment and the food is fresh and delicious. The meal was so damn perfect! Also, you wont break the bank here and youre walking with good quality food!
My wife and I have been ordering from Pizza Pide for the last four years and they have never once disappointed. We got some last night for our move and it was my brother s first time having pide. He was swooning. Always delicious, even cold the next day!
I have been in Turkey more than 10 times, what they are serving is total different. I would not recommend.
I ordered two pides via Ubereats and they were delicious thank you
It was amazing
Turkish pizza done right
Very delicious pides and warm service.
I had the spinach and feta pide which was so good, I really enjoyed the crispy and cheesy flavour inside and lahmacun was so delicious, I loved that it came with veggies and I had sauces, I really recommend pizza pide if youre near by or looking for something super tasty
Amazing food
Good
Really nice, quality pizzas. Great place for a date or to hang out with some friends and get some Zzas! They have a $0.50 fee for using credit so don t be like me and get your pizza and drink at separate times!
One of best foods In Toronto. Amazing Turkish pizza (pide). Fresh and tasty 10/10
Very rude staffs
Best Turkish pizza in the city Order the # 10 or #11 .
Fresh and tasty
It was more the service and snarky apology about the additional charges on my total . When all didn t add up she said the sauces were extra when clearly every pide on the menu and before pandemic were included in prices this was my first time back and and menu clearly shows garlic sauce and hot sauce as part of the price . If it s not part of it it the it should should clearly state it or at least tell the consumer . It also looks like they changed management . Used to be my favorite place but now kinda meh unimpressed rather spend money elsewhere. .
Pizzas with an unbeatable flavor, the price is very acceptable
avoid this place
Fast, friendly, fresh. Great Turkish pizza.
Great pizza
Really good pides for a good price! The pides themselves are like the size of a small personal pizza which is great for one person, and they offer large pizzas. I highly recommend if you want to try something different.
So tasty! Everyone is also very nice here!
Overall experience was ok. I love Turkish food. It was the first time I ever tried pizza pide. I ordered Lamb pizza pide. It was good!
Awesome Pide. Delicious and full of cheeese, i ate the whole thing before taking a photo. That s how hungry I was and how good it was - Turkey Sujuk Update: keep coming to this place, a bit pricey, but it s Pide in Toronto, Awesome service (straight forward gals) crispy golden dough housing what makes Türkiye an East-Meets-West cuisine. I hope they introduce a combo of 2/3 pide.
Nice tasty food I loved the turkish sausage pide
Their quality never falters. I ve been coming here for years and it s excellent every time.
Ive enjoyed pide from this establishment since the mid 2000s, when it first opened. I only wish I lived closer, so I can indulge more often.
More than five stars
I ate my food before I could take some pictures but trust me, this is a great place to get a unique pizza experience. Most of the pizzas are boat shaped. They are cut in wide strips, served on a wood board and with fresh tomatoes, sweet white onion, fresh parsley and small hot pickled peppers. I ordered the pepperoni and another with ground beef and cheese. Both were very tasty with quality ingredients. This isnt Pizza Pizzas pepperoni pizza (I still like Pizza Pizza), the pepperoni is thicker sliced and tastier. Youll wait a bit longer for the fresh pizza but its worth the wait, plus they have some great unique sodas to sip on while you wait. Give them a try youll be happy you did.
The Pide was delicious Dietary restrictions: Halal Food : 5/5 |
Excellent food and friendly people :)
The BEST Turkish pizza ! Don t come here for regular pizza. This spot is for Turkish pizza. It s always extremely delicious especially with the veggies on the side. The assorted pide is the best. Been coming here for over a decade and will continue for life. Customer service is always very friendly as well. Very hard wood benches but shouldn t be a problem if you re in good health. Great for takeout too.
Excellent customer service:) very friendly. Food is delicious. Thank you guys
Best Turkish pizza in town. They have the loveliest people working there, real family place.
Delicious
Interesting takeout lunch experience here.. Ive heard of pide places popping up around the city, though this one was recommended by a friend. We ordered the mix and match one, that provided a sample of 6 different types. They kind of all blended together (literally, based on how it was cut) so the flavors mixed around a bit. I got the idea of the differences, and all were tasty. We shared one, which was enough for a light meal or snack. If you are really hungry, youll want your own. Direct, but helpful staff. The wait might be a bit long for some - we were the only ones there but it was about 20 minutes. Thats the price you pay for freshness. Tasted great, and would return here again.
The food is excellent and the service impeccable. But I sure wish they would update the prices in the online menu.
Steal
The #16 veg and feta Pide is amazing. I generally ask for three in the same box. It is a fast, cheap and delicious dinner option.
This place is unreal
Delicious. Cheesy flavor explosion. The dough is tasty too. Go for the food more than the service though.
Fair price for the pizza and the Turkish pides are very good.
Pide is a wholly different experience from pizza .. Lets start with the pizza actually That was really very good The extra large is really big and not only is the ground beef really well seasoned but their sausage is something special. I would definitely recommend the pide as well.. Its definitely smaller than the pizza, but it packs a lot of flavor The bread is so fresh and warm and they crack an egg into a couple of them which cooks from the heat of the bread and its just amazing Dont miss out on the sausage!
I was trying to order there but I did not see drink menu on skip the dishes. So I called them and asked. The said me that use uber eats. They have to close skip the dishes account or improve their business.
The previous owner Mustafa (?) was away friendly than these recent ones whom in my opinion possibly they never met Asian people in their life. As usual we ordered our favorite pides and pizza by phone and was told to pickup in 45 minutes. After 45 minutes waiting in the car my wife walked in, and the order wasn t even ready! Instead of saying sorry, for which we could accept, the lady repeatedly telling my wife that she just order minutes ago not 45 minutes ago. Obviously she forgot the order because she was busy since it s dinner time she missed it, but she insisted that it s not her mistake! What a joke!!
Ive been going to Pizza Pide well before Google or even Google reviews have been around. Look how prevalent Google reviews is now. And justifiably so, as Ive been a reviewer on other sites but they were not as user friendly as Google reviews. But, this review is not about Google its about Pizza Pide. Basically, the reason I keep going to Pizza Pide for decades is because I love it. Love everything about it. The taste of all of their pides, the location, the service, the cost. All in that specific desending order. Fantastic. I even moved out of the city, but I still keep coming back, always will.
The pies taste so good many varieties and choices of flavour
Brahhhh !!!!! This that wowzers the Turkish Pide is Legendary . Lose your mindddd type ting
Love it!
These pizzas are just the best!!
Unprofessional crew . So impolite , U are disgrace to Turkish people
Good pizza
The absolute best pide in Toronto. Their pide is better than pizza. Generous on the sides. The lemon is more impactful than youd expect. Been coming here for years, never a bad order.
We are not Pide experts, but we love the Pides here. They are well baked, full of cheese and tasty. A simple place, takes time to get the food ready, yet worth it. If you live in the eastern-hoods of Toronto, this is surely the best place for Pides.
Best pide in the town
Lady not nice at all. And she keeps waiting for long time before I order , never will come back here
Tasty and fresh Pizza.
Super rude lady at the counter and for no apparent reason. It is truly a shame, at the end I regretted ordering just because of the poor service. I think she cant be Turkish. Ive known Turkish all my life and they are nowhere near this in terms of kindness.
This place is a riverdale gem! The #10 is fantastic, my go to comfort food !
Always INCREDIBLY delicious!
