2 Villiers St, Toronto, ON M5A 1B1, Canada
Spacious tavern with a large waterfront patio, serving a globally inspired menu of pub fare.
Had a fantastic evening at this great pub. The bartender, owner and manager treated me like a king. I'll be back 100%
If you're around Cherry Beach and feel like a cold pint, with delicious pub food without the downtown crowd and traffic. Staff are very friendly and helpful, lots of room to relax and enjoy the nice weather.
Looking a little tired and the friday evening crowds have disappeared. Rumours have been swirling for years that it was closing down as part of the Docklands redevelopment, but I was happy to hear they have 5 years on their lease. Got lost cycling there and I've lived in the East End for over 20 years. Hopefully now they have the roads and bike paths in people will rediscover this Toronto landmark. Also as they are now located on an island courtesy of diverting the Don River to it's natural path is it still considered a channel?
I was here to celebrate a birthday party and listen to the band. Both were great and the staff friendly and helpful.
If you are bike riding along the lakeshore heading east towards Cherry Beach and feel the need to stop for a bite to eat or drink, this is a wonderful place to do it. The pub is a nice size and has a pool table and live entertainment. It has a great, warm, relaxed environment inside. The staff are always accommodating, efficient, and very friendly. I am always happy with whatever food I have tried. Good quality, nice portions. The best is sitting outside on the patio beside the canal. They provide picnic tables for your seating option. Have music playing. It's nicely kept with flowers boxes and trees surrounding the seating area.
Food is incredible, it’s regularly an amazing place to come to and their menu is so rich. The food is always well prepared and tastes that good. Friendly staff and service. They have a cheat code for Steak…$7 side of steak that’s some of the best steak I’ve ever had.
Great place to connect with friends and family and enjoy a good meal . One of the best burgers in town , it’s all about the black angus beef ! Been going there over 10 years , absolutely no bad meals ! From Shepherd’s Pie , to wings , to steaks , to salads . Staff is friendly and service is very good . The bar is good too, choices on tap , Good Guinness pour ! I recommend to all my friends and family .
Food was okay. Service was good. Location is what gives this a solid 4 stars though. Not so busy which was nice, so there was a great selection of seats available on their absolutely beautiful patio. This would be a regular go-to if they were open later and food was maybe a cut above with ingredients and sized to price. Would definitely go again.
Great place, good pub fare and nice view on the balcony on summer nights
Food quality is meh, the portions are small, and everything is way overpriced. If you want to spend an average of $20-$30 (per meal item) on a small plate of low quality pub food then this your place! However, I would honestly suggest going anywhere else. Don t waste your time or money, here.
Best pub in toronto! Can also Visit by boat. Food is outstanding!
Dining on tha patio. Gorgeous view of Toronto. Fabulous lunch for less than $20. Great service.
Great place with some of the nicest staff. Amazing selection of food and drinks. Great spot for events.
This place is in the middle of nowhere it feels like in a city. By the water with a fantastic chill atmosphere with free parking. The food is good, great menu and very reasonably priced. Will be back Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options here
Love this pub! Best burger and fries in town
Best place ever!! The food is chefs kiss. The patio it s stunning and on the water, which is such a bonus. Also the staff is so lovely and attentive. Deffs my go to place whenever I am craving a good meal.
Good food, nice people
Great patio good food .Just a little hard to get to with all the construction
Torontos best kept secret. Keating Channel is a great pub and grill. Standard pub fare, daily specials, and more. Good selection of beer, wine, etc. Outdoors on a summers day, beside the water, is the best place to be in Toronto.
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy good food and drinks. In the summer the outdoor patio is especially nice and also dog friendly.
I can stop my boat and order , I love it
Reasonably priced, good food, varied menu , big parking lot, lots of space on the pation, ambience next to the channel. Not the usual crowded Toronto patio. Over new Cherry street bridge turn left right away then to Visser street
As a contractor that cuts their grass on a beautiful hot day, we decided to go into the restaurant to have some lunch. A group of 91 of us has food, allergies and needs to eat certain foods waitress was extremely rude dismissive, and the restaurant just lost out on about $500, I do not recommend you going here frankly, it s pathetic
Best Wings ever
Terrible food. Food was either burnt or over cooked. Vegetables were raw and not cooked.appetizers came after the main course after asking for it and not what was ordered. Very outdated decor.
Patio by the docklands scenery is great. Ride or bike destination.
Hosted our xmas party on December 9th. Enjoyed the food and drinks. Emily was great serving our table
Mussels had very little broth . Chicken fingers cold. Lots of oil on top of spinach dip. would not recommend. Service mediocre. Will not be returning!!
Hard to get to with all the surrounding constructing but worth the effort! Great decor, lots of historical pictures and certainly qualifies if you like the English Pub Style. As it was originally owned by the Irish Rovers, call it the IRISH pub style. The menu is varied and a lot of English standards are on it. Fish & Chips is excellent and true to tradition, wrapped in newspaper. My friends had Roast Beef Dip and enjoyed it equally. Ashley was our server (I guess to say waitress is not politically correct anymore) and she excelled. Friendly, helpful and timely. The Guiness was poured with skill by the bartender and arrived at the table in perfect condition with just the right head on it. Highly recommend for lunch, as we were, but will be back for dinner.
Always our go to location when we crave good pub food!
Lovely patio and good food with great selection of beverages
Love their fries. Staff are excellent. It will come into its own when the Port Lands down Cherry Street are in gear.
I look forward to our family summer outings that take us along the cherry beach bike path and inevitably end with a channel side patio nachos at Keating Channel Pub. One of a kind. Feels like youve discovered something out of the way, and out of the concrete jungle of downtown. Special spot. Hope it never changes.
The Keating Channel Pub is fantastic. We were there recently for a birthday party. The staff is friendly, relaxed, and efficient. They make you feel like old friends. I need to eat gluten free and they were great about this - I had an amazing meal at very reasonable prices too with absolutely no gluten issues afterwards. I take one star off atmosphere because their decor is not sound absorbing so it can be a little loud and difficult to have quiet conversations. Dietary restrictions: Although their menu doesn t explicitly state it, they can easily accommodate gluten free diners. As a Celiac, I felt well cared for and had no issues at all.
Great location, friendly service, good food and drinks
A hidden gem, but not for long. The area is quickly changing. BTW. Great wings!
One of the best spots in town. I have been a regular at this place for years and have nothing but great things to say about it. Great atmosphere!
Awesome place . Very cozy . Great service staff . Food was excellent
Ive been going here for the last 9 years, usually once a week. The food has always been terrific. In the summer, the patio is great.
Amazing burger
Really expensive! Never used to be like this. Great location but ridiculous prices. Fries really bad. Havent had other food lately so cant comment but if the fries are any indication, the food has gone down hill.
Good food, good music, great service. It may be our new go to.
The ambiance is friendly and inviting, the staff - seconded by none. Dillion, Desiree, Dani and Freda make you feel like family. A venue able to handle any size of party and can accommodate most last minute details to perfection. I visit this place at least once a week. Can t promote it enough.
Went in the winter for lunch - Great vibe, relaxed, fun pool table, and the service was excellent!
Great Pub, Excellent food, Broccoli chedder cheese soup was superb. Hats off to the Chef, Waiters was Excellent. Thanks to all from the Corvette Club Of Ontario. Fran & Ron.
Fun place. Great service and food!
Best patio in the city for sure. Amazing food, lots of drink options and family run. Lots of space inside and out so perfect for large events. The lounge is a great place to book for sports because of the TVs, fire places, pool table and darts!!
I love this place. Large space. Bar, restaurant and games area. Friendly service. Great food. Well located.
Very good atmosphere plus the 10oz prime rib was delicious. Came with mashed potatoes vegetables and yorkshire pudding
Great food!! Live music, pool tables, lounge area, TV, large parking are for all those limo and bus drivers!!! 10min from the CN Tower, a must check out!!
This is our local. Excellent food, always good service and so great to have such a big patio on the edge of d/t. Kid friendly if well-behaved. Taking ours since she was under a year
Good, casual, place with lots of seats and parking space. Variety of food.
Food is fantastic
Stopped here after an event with my sister and our daughters for a bite. The place was semi busy despite all the construction going on around this area. There was only one person working and he managed our table plus all the others plus the bar which was quite the task which he managed very well. We had a variety of foods ( nachos, mozzarella sticks, bruschetta, beef dip sandwich with garden salad and Mac and cheese) The bruschetta was lacking a little, could use a little feta and some balsamic and the Mac and cheese was just OK. Everything else was very nice, loved the beef dip sandwich and the garden salad dressing was lovely. But! Very friendly service and well done to the gentleman who was running the place on his own. Thanks for the nice visit !
Maybe it doesnt look luxury but food is awesome, people is friendly and it has that feel of good old Toronto pub, straight in the heart of the city
Great food, drinks and atmosphere...big outdoor patio and lots of tvs inside for watching any sport.
I wanted to like this place, but just couldnt. Its what I should have expected. The menu is diverse - but ultimately too diverse to do any dish well. Mediocre food. The beers are all mass brewery. The location is in the middle of nowhere - a rather forlorn place in the barren Docklands. The atmosphere was dead - I could count the customers and staff on one hand, maybe part of a second hand. The staff were friendly - they did nothing to further detract from my experience.
Lots of space, big menu. Had the calamari (which was crispy, good tzaziki!), served by friendly staff. Ive been on the patio as well, it was great! I usually stop in after a bike ride so its a welcome reprieve.
Good food, friendly service and nice location. Looking forward to visiting again sometime when the patio is open
When you arrive it looks like its closed. The landscaping as well as the interior have been really neglected. The inside is rather dark and gloomy and quite dated. The menu has a huge selection. The food was pretty good - could have been a bit more seasoned, though. The service was good, but the place was completely empty at noon on a weekday. There is outdoor seating, but there were no umbrellas and we didnt want to sit in the sun, so we stayed inside.
fantastic service food is amazing
So this Bar has wicked Chicken Wings and friendly service.
Great spot right on the channel. Down to earth classic pub with a long bar and patio with a nice view. Large menu and food is very good. Good service and easy parking.
Had the lunch special. Battered and fried fish sandwich. Was very good.
A little hidden
The food is consistently good - and with friendly service.
Beats on the Lake party. Good times.
What a gem! Great atmosphere and service. Will be returning!
I discovered Keating Channel years ago when this promotion company used to throw parties there every long weekend with DJs on the patio. Ive spent many a day and night at Keating Channel with decent drink prices, good service, delicious food, and an absolutely amazing patio. They have an extensive menu, with daily specials, and good portions. Everything Ive tried has been delicious. I love that they have big and small tables on the patio, many with umbrellas. You can get lots of sun as well. Inside you can lounge, watch TV, play pool and eat and drink of course. A great place for events, music and dancing and not too far from downtown.
Great place to relax in downtown area . Food and drinks are amazing
This place is gem. The food was fantastic. Fresh, tasty, and on point. Whenever I go into a pub, I seem to start with fish and chips to go with a beer. The staff were pleasant and on point. It was a great experience. Its a good place to hang and kick back. I would definitely go back again.
Outdoor band. Excellent music. Good service from the staff and food was well prepared.
Nice patio great drinks menu excellent bbq
Terrible experience. We left within the first 5 minutes. Our server was rude and indignant, she needs firing immediately. The manager is a donut and they should be shut down. Toilets were absolutely filthy and the patio is dirty like a homeless persons tent.
The female server with the glasses and the leg tattoo needs to be fired immediately. Refused to serve us even after showing multiple pieces of ID. Just because you close in an hour does not mean you take the easy way out and refuse to serve customers
Located downtown Toronto lakeshore, its a good place
Beautiful patio, super friendly service and nice food - what more could you ask for! Highly recommend!
Our first time there on Saturday,July 22,2023. Great service and food. Nice place. Food : 4/5
Right on the canal, so we sat outside and had a water view. Helpful, friendly waiter, good food.
Great place with a patio on the river. Closest feeling you can get to being in cottage country in downtown Toronto!
Great place in a great location to get our of the busy down town for a bit
it was amazing! The guy serving us was wonderful and very sweet. I would eat there again definitely worth it
Good bless the Toronto bars not pushed out by gentrification. This place has a great staff, good food. Cavernous bar and nice, large patio. Casual and clean. Ive been going for years and will keep going until they get priced out.
Excellent food and service with a phenomenal view of the citys skyline. It is my very own favorite getaway spot. Its very own convenient parking lot, great food, great selection of beverages, waterfront seating - it has it all .
Was such a cute little spot for friends
This is a great quiet patio on the Keaton channel. Lots of parking. Great staff and beers. Highly recommend
Nice bar with free WiFi
Right by the Keating Channel, great services, food and inside patio dog friendly
Had a wonderful meal for lunch. My friend had the traditional burger and found it flavourful & juicy but saved his kudos for the fries, which he declared fantastic. Our server, Desiré (spelling may be different, apologies for any offence), talked me into their pasta special of sausage, chicken, pepper with pene and she did not steer me wrong - paired with cheesey garlic bread it really hit the spot. They also have an expansive patio area that was perfect for a sunny warm day.
Waitress was talking on her cell phone and waved to us to sit anywhere. When we deemed to ask if we could sit on the patio she stared at us for a moment, then said OK but I might be slow then told us to grab our own menus and she would bring us some water, then returned to her phone call. We waited on the patio for twenty minutes. When we went back in she was at the bar chatting with her coworker and playing around on a laptop. I m sorry, I forgot about you! She said as we handed our menus back and left.
Great place, we were going to a concert and they let us park in their parking lot. Super good service and great food and beer!!!!
Perfect place to watch the game.
The pool table adds an extraordinary atmosphere
Hidden gem. Food was great and the location (in the summer) Im sure is awesome being right on the channel
Nice friendly place.
The staff were very friendly. Had house white wine and some apps.
Great food and good people. Love coming here after work
Been going here for years, excellent food and Emily is the best!! Thank you
Had the K.C. burger was fresh and made in house
A hidden gem!
Quick friendly service and delicious fries, really hit the spot before a concert down the street
Food was great had crab cakes chicken pot pie chicken club and apple crisp ice cream good service and fast
I have never had anything but a wonderful experience here. I didnt know what to expect at first but its one of those places where they have lots of food options and theyre all good. The service is always friendly, warm, inviting. This is a great group of people doing something cool.
Great place to meet up for drinks and a bite. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Back patio is awesome during the warmer weather being right on the water
My kinda place. Good food, free parking, nice view, reasonably priced, in a very casual place
Nice patio
One of the kind exquisite patio seating that is a wonderful experience.
A terrific spot, hidden gem, not far off the beaten path, excellent service, the food is very good, lots of variety and good size portions.
Friendly vibe, amazing food and beautiful surrounds. A neighborhood vibe that is unpretentious. Top shelf whiskey for $9 an ounce. Best steak sandwich and steak and kidney pie ever. This is what I miss about Toronto from the past. This is what we are missing. Soak it up before google destroys it.
First time here, definitely want to come back. Our servicer couldnt have been better and its just nice to sit outside next to the water. Food was great!
Amazing experience. My friends and I found this place accidentally and it turned out to be an absolute gem. I got the rib curry and BLT and they were delicious. The staff are extremely friendly. The place is extremely clean. The patio is beautiful Very good prices too! 100% recommend this place.
Nice quiet patio!
If you are down by cherry beach and feeling hungry this is a nice relaxing place to go grab a bite..
Excellent location, tons of parking, spacious interior and deck with fast friendly service. Food is typical pub fare. A great place to drop by after some kayaking off of Cherry beach.
Ok
Great food and service!!!
Great food and even better eating outside in the fresh air!
Great location, the food was good as well. Great place to chill if you are in the east end and driving. Difficult to get to with the construction right now.
Great food great people, i love their hospitality. But, I did not like the owner of the restaurant staring at the customers like a creep. Someone please tell that big fella not to do this thing.
Absolutely Love this place. Good grub. good draft beer selections. It s a hidden gem!! We boat to this place in a cruiser with no radar arch. We can just squeeze under the bridge at high water levels. Best boating destination in Toronto Harbour !! protected docking and lots of room for boats just off the patio! Attention Boats !!!! HELLO!!!! Why are you not here !!!!!
I was there for an event and the food served was excellent. It was SO HOT inside though, OMG, everyone was sweating!
Simple pub but very good for and service is always cheerful. Really good ambiance when dining beside the channel.
Our go to spot after a paddle at Cherry Beach. Love their food - always consistent and big menu to choose from. Nachos, fish and chips, and wings are amazing. Great patio along the channel, service is prompt and everyone is overly nice. Never have had a bad experience here. Free parking is plentiful. Definitely worth a stop for a drink and some eats after a day out on the lake!
Prices are way too high. Service always slow. No food or drink specials. But the location is beautiful.
food s ight, nothing to write home about but really sweet servers
KC Burger & Fries the waitress said this was one of the best burgers & Fries & she wasnt kidding.. Thanks Keating Channel Pub.
Excellent staff and the food is great and well priced
Great food consistently.
Amazing food. Good prices and a lovely server.
Great place to go and eat nice outdoor patio at the water
Cannot give a good review for this restaurant. We were trying to get servers attention to give them an order, sit in the patio for over 10 minutes without getting their attention (It was not busy). Sea food linguine ordered was not good, noodle was overcooked and too soft. They took it back but funny thing is one of the server brought back our old dish they took by mistake, that was how I figured they recycled the sea food from the old dish and cook it with new noodle. very disturbing to find this out and would not go again.
Staff were so kind, KC burger was great and good size, there seemed to be something on the menu for everyone, and the patio overlooking the channel was so nice! Im bummed to think this place will be displaced by the new development in the area - we should petition for it to be protected!
Very nice staff A bit old, however the great staff and clean environment more than make it comfortable. The patio is large, well maintained with lots of greenery and flowers. Cant go wrong visiting this place.
Great atmosphere and a gorgeous view to boot!
Hidden gem by the water with great pub food!
Great place, great food,great staff
Lovely staff and good food.
Food was not good. Chicken fingers, mozzarela sticks and the fries were extremely oily. Might have something to do with the oil quality or Fryer settings Shoutout to their server Farida! Excellent service and she gave us great food suggestions after our bad experience with the appetizers
Just had the cider and some beers. Nice spot to grab a drink. It has a patio and by the river.
Tasty food, good variety to order from, friendly waitresses. I ordered a lemon-lime lemonade, quesadillas and a chicken pot pie.
Overall it was a good experience. Lots of construction around but the patio backing to the river makes up for it. Service was great, drinks pretty awesome, food was whats expected at a Pub.
It was an excellent experience.
Always space on the patio and plenty of parking
I had a salad here, there was way too much dressing and oil. My salad was pretty much vinegerette soup. I ate half and couldnt go on. We were seated out on the patio and there were a lot of bees buzzing around. I understand they cant do anything about outdoor bugs as thats nature, but it made the experience of dining here less desirable for me. Our server was also not very attentive. We were constantly trying to flag then down to order food/pay bill. I wont be returning.
Another gem. Dont know why I havent rated this place yet. So amazing down on the waterfront and Keating channel. Wait til all of the construction is done, this place will explode. Solid patio. Comfort food. Tvs for sports and a good bar plus lounge area. Ill come here as long as I live downtown
Decent food and drink. Great location. Friendly service.
This place is definitely underrated probably because its so far from everything. The back patio is really nice with a good view and the prices are very reasonable for Toronto.
Standard pub fair, nondescript facade, lovely patio around back. Great service!
Food was great , beer was better . Highly recommend
Great food. Excellent service. Enjoyed the fish and chips.
Nice outdoor seating area next to the river good parking spaces not far from The distillery, good food friendly and helpful staff. They were around a nice place to go drink and have a little bit of food and relax
Came here for a work event, overall I thought it was great. Very large menu for everyones different tastes, unfortunately the weather was terrible as it wouldve been great to see what its like beside the water when sunny. Otherwise, nice little place off the main area.
Tried the Blackened Haddock on turmeric creamy rice and spicy vegetables salsa - and enjoyed it. The weekend special (prime rib with mash, veggies & yorkshire pudding) looked huge and for an excellent price. Quite friendly the waitress.
Great stop for pints after work.
This place seemed like a dump from the outside but when you entered it was a rustic bar look with a beautiful overlooking the water. Parking is avail aswell as a nice smoking area. The food was to die for, my friend had the prime rib and I had the beef ribs, chicken wings fries and a house of the day beef barley soup. It was 40$ and very worth it. We devoured our plates. Check this out!
Lovely quiet armoshere, deck overlooking the channel, friendly servers, good food, good value. Whats not to love?
Decent place for a beer and a bite, not great but not terrible either Service was good though
Roast beef dinner. Oh baby
Called ahead, a week before we arrived. I was meeting with a bunch of friends, and wasnt sure if there was going to be a lot of people attending. Arrangements were easy and straight forward. The staff was very helpful and informative. When friends were arriving, Keating Channel staff was taking our orders and bringing out prearranged food that we discussed the week before. Everyone had a great time, the food and service was excellent. We all look forward to going back soon. Thanks for all your hard work, great service, and excellent food.
It is okay.
The service was amazing. The food was great. I had chicken pot pie and the pastry was to die for.
