Service and atmosphere was great! Had the fries and fish tacos. Fries were great, fish tacos were ok. Good drink deals and definitely recommend checking out their daily specials!

Sat at the bar and was greeted and served by Dave! Super friendly, attentive and always kept our drinks full! Look out for him on your next visit! :)

We needed somewhere clean, friendly and accommodating for an evening meal with two children. The kitchen was closing in minutes (9.30) but they fitted us in with no drams and the service and beer were good on all three of our visits across our time in the neighbourhood. The atmosphere and service was good. The food wasnt great. Average at best. I had the chips and guac.

Service was slow and not being check on if need refill etc. Food was good though. Bar side lady was nice though and help us ring out because the other waiters taking forever to ring us up. Food forgotten to be brought out and staff just hanging around.

Young people in the Beaches, what more could you want. An institution, love it or hate it. Theres always a crowd, and for good reason. Good food, good service, good beer, just be ready to make friends (non negotiable{were doing pickle-backs[sucks 2 suck]}). Normal pub prices

Pretty good value for money, especially on their 10 for 10 anniversary menu. The burger is really tasty as well as the shrimp tacos. Three burgers, one shrimp taco, bear and basket of fries came out as about $72 tax included.

Keeping this review short and sweet: a great patio, very unpretentious atmosphere, quick service, and fairly priced food and drinks! Everything you would want from a bar.

Standard pub fare. Great large patio and neighbourly vibes. Good variety of drinks on the menu. Only 4/5 for service because we waited a long time to even be greeted while waiting by the door. Some of our order needed to be reminded. We were checked on throughout our stay, however. And service was very kind when presented.

Decent place, had space for a big group

We were a party of 6 in for dinner and drinks on Thursday night. While the patio was lovely and the food was quite decent for a pub, the service was pretty appalling. We must have had one of the rudest and most disengaged servers ever. She rarely came to check on us. We would have to flag her to order more drinks. She made zero eye contact or conversation. And it was not busy so it s not like she was slammed. When our food arrived one order was a tray of nachos. She brought her server friend to help bring food to the table. When the server friend (also appallingly rude) asked who ordered the nachos and didn t get an immediate response bc people were in mid conversation she literally dropped the tray on the table and walked away. Both severs seems seriously annoyed to even exist on this planet let alone serve people in a hospitality setting. And here is the kicker that really turned us off .she applied a 20% auto gratuity!!! On a table of 6? ! That turned us all off enology to not return.

Meet some friends for lunch at the Stone Lion but ended up staying for a few hours, food and drinks were great and our server Stella was incredible couldn t ask for a better server! Thanks again.

I ordered the Big Beyond Burger, and hours later had the worst food poisoning I have ever experienced. I nearly went to the hospital.

When for lunch and the food, service & atmosphere was lovely. Its been a while since Ive been to the Stone Lion and was glad to see theyve kept up their high standards.

Waitres aren t so friendly and kind. We felt like disturbed.

The waiters who took care of us was very rude and not friendly. It was a place I used to come to all the time, but I dont think I will come anymore.

With 2 patios and a wide selection of drinks this is a good pub and sports bar. Food was ok too.

This spot was the perfect ending to a beach day with the family, friends, and our dog. Plenty of space on their patio if you have an American Bully or a German Shepherd. The wings are amazing, but their mac&cheese is a must. Im definitely going back!

Spent around $35 on drinks. Waiters told us to leave if we didn t order more (we stayed for 10 minutes)

We went there for a meetup. One of the girls wasn t feeling so well after a few drinks. She wanted to take her time and sit in the restaurant before leaving despite us trying to tell help her come out. The manager wanted to kick her out as soon as possible and tried to show that he is concerned for her well being when all he cared about was getting rid of any type of responsibility. He kept telling us why aren t you taking her home despite the fact we had already told him that we had tried to do so and she said she needs more time before leaving. Manager didn t seem to know how to appropriately manage the situation and was rude. When a restaurant serves a customer to the point of intoxication they are responsible to make sure the person is sober before leaving and not trying to get rid of them as soon as possible.

The food is delicious. The service is fantastic and kid friendly. The prices are good. Updated: the food is still delicious. The kids menu is still a hit. Best Cesar salad in the East End. The big smac burger and Nashville chicken sandwich are favs of ours. They always have good, clean pints. No skunky pulls. The cocktails are delicious and well priced. Honestly, take out (Ubereats) or dine in, we have nothing but good things to say. Our favourite place in the Beaches!

Absolute trash service last time we went. Told us that we couldnt sit outside because everything was closing at 11... It was 9:30 when we came in and there were a bunch of seats on the patio.

Two patios . Pub food. It s a decent place to eat with friends. I ve celebrated birthdays here, the restaurant is okay with you bringing in a cake and candles. There is also slices of cake for sale (bring candles). The restaurant doesn t always have them. I usually leave the left over candles with the staff. Parking: There is a paid parking lot within a 5 min walk to the restaurant. Also paid street parking right in front of the restaurant. I usually go a bit early to find parking. I usually get free street parking within a 2 min walk to the restaurant. Pay attention to the street signs. Toronto just added new parking signs on all the side streets in the area.

This place was perfect for our first outing with family who just moved in to the area, great atmosphere, food & service. We will be back !!!

Went here yesterday (Mar 24) after visiting a few times last summer, we LOVED going in the summer. However, I was really disappointed with the food quality and offerings this time around. We were a table of 3 for lunch and all got wraps/sandwiches. None of them came with fries, you now have to pay extra for a side and the size of the sides that came were rediculously small. I totally understand you have to pay for a plus-up, I got a side soup, which was $5, BUT it came in a bowl that was the size of a 1/4 of a cup. I had about 4 bites before my bowl was done. They really need to assess their portions and prices.

The Stone Lion is a Sports Bar/English Pub type establishment with 2 outdoor summer patios. The Lion serves pub food and more substantial meals. There is often music on the weekends to dance the night away. The Stone Lion is a great party spot for groups and sports fans in the heart of the Beach, near Woodbine Ave and Queen St. East.

We waited in line to be seated. We were ignored by all the waiters passing by for a good 10 min. The waitress we called who finally deigned to look at us was quite dry at reiterating there was no table outside when we asked if we could have one of the tables outside, that was free. Because of this incredible lack of customer service, I will not try this place again. It breaks my heart, as it looks nice and as a beach resident I was determined to like it.

Nice place with great, friendly service. Burgers and sandwiches don t come with fries and for an extra $4 the portion of fries is ludicrously small. The bowl had about 20 fries in it, and paying more than 20 cents per fry is pretty ridiculous. Probably not worth coming back.

Had some creamy Guinness and food with a friend. Go sometimes in the summer for patio beers. Good spot. Cold beers and good food. Often see lots of dogs and babies. Plays sports games.

They have one of the best salads in Toronto. Their chicken cutlets are homemade with buttermilk batter. Delicious! Great service! Fantastic patio. Love this place.

Great food burger was really fresh and delicious

This is a great place to go for a drink and pub food. Lots of televisions, usually playing the local game (hockey, basketball, etc.). Staff are always great. Food is good, something for everyone.

Try the big Mac burger version they have here. Its amazing !

Good all around spot. It s nicer than a sports bar but they have tv s and games on. The menu was well rounded. I had the chicken club. My partner had the beef stroganoff. We shared the brussle sprouts. All of the food was good and satisfying. It was well rounded price wise and actually very good portions for the moderate pricing. The staff were friendly and attentive. We would come back again! Kid-friendliness: A place you could bring your kids to eat and have a drink with your meal.

Ordered: Fish and Chips Patio was nice and well decorated! The overall atmosphere seemed great at night! The Fish and Chips tasted a bit light, both the fish and fries... The fries were a bit soggy, as if not fried fresh...

Food was subpar but drink options were great and reasonably priced. Location is great because its by the beaches. We were a large group so they applied 18% gratuity to the bill even though the service was not great. Super slow and not attentive even if the restaurant was pretty empty at the time.

Bad experience here years ago. Being a reasonable person, I thought I would try it again. You know, a second chance! Ugh. This place is awful. Lackluster staff. Boring, mediocre food only a notch up from McDonalds. Are dogs really supposed to be in a dining area? Avoid, and do not ever think that the place needs a second chance.

Stopped here for lunch on the weekend and it was pretty good. The restaurant is conveniently located on Queen Street, and it is quite close to the beach. It wasnt too crowded for a weekend and we sat on their patio, which had a lot of space. Had their fish and chips which were a good size. The servers were really nice, they moved us inside when it started to rain.

Friendly places and staff. The dishes are good without being exceptional. Avoid fairly bland cocktails, little alcohol and a ton of ice cubes.... Ice cubes are expensive!, A patio and terrace allow for outside dining. The patio is, however, quite noisy.

Well located. Okay food. But not the best service. Server didnt even fill our waters up for an hour and wouldnt check on our table, while we were wanting to order. Had to find someone else to order because it was time for last call. But then she got cranky about us not tipping enough?

Hearing so many good things about this Barbie as super excited to try it, but it wasn t the best experience. The area was so crowded, music was sick loud to even speak to people at your table. Drink service was not overly great, we didn t return because the food wasn t great at the time we went.

I was really impressed with the new gluten-free menu. I ve struggled to find restaurants, especially pub food, in the area that have more than 1-2 GF options, so I was very excited that they now have a whole GF menu with lots of great options. I had the burrito bowl and it was delicious! I wanted to give them a shout out so that it comes up in google search, as I know how hard it is to find gluten-free food in google search. The patio is also lovely with great atmosphere. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free

Nice outdoor patio thats lit well. Mixed crowd. Somewhat of a high school hangout indoors the day we went. Decent pub food. Nothing spectacular. Had nachos and chicken fingers. You go there because its open late and kitchen doesnt close early. Close enough from the beach to get a bite to eat at a reasonable price. Casual and relaxed. Vegetarian options: Speak with server. Didnt get a chance to eat or even get a glass of water let alone a drink. Got seated and then sat there for over 20 minutes without anyone even coming over to offer us a glass of water let alone take our order so we just got up and left, strange thing is that nobody even noticed that...what a joke and they had at least a dozen people working if not more.

Don t waste your time in this place, the staff needs training, they don t even know how to greet us. For 45 minutes me, my son and my husbands waited for our food , and it came cold. The waitress kept pretended that she wasn t listening when I was calling her. So I had to manually get something that I needed. 0/10 don t come here

7 of us there last Saturday, food and service was very good all around. Only down side was the covered patio acted as an amplifier for the loud conversations at other tables going on around us.

Nice place to eat. It has a retractable patio roof which is great if its raining. Total cost of 1 French Dip ($18) 1 Tropical Mule ( $12) Server charged on my credit card (2 different transactions, although I only paid one time a whopping $64.24. ) Not sure how this long haired brunette did this and only to find out after my credit card statement came in. Apparently, she did this to another couple at our table. Pay cash.

Sad experience... I used to go to the Stone Lion during the Soccer World cup to support my country. I wanted to do the same for the Rugby World cup. I asked one day before if it was displayed and the waitress confirmed. We went with my friend. We were alone on the patio to watch the game and ask to have the sound of TV. They refused with excuses and even one waitress was rude with my wife. We left at the half time... They are not customer oriented, too bad we wont go again...

The food is always delicious, especially the fish and chips! However, the service can be extremely hit and miss. The most recent times we have gone, it has been absolutely painful despite our food being really good. We waited the entire meal to get drink refills and were not checked on, which is fine but disappointing. We were finished at 7:15 and did not receive our bill until approximately 7:45. We just had to sit without acknowledgement for this time. We will probably be back because of the food and I guess just keep our fingers crossed about service. Recommend at your own risk.

Service, food and patio, all are excellent. Have tried a number of different items off the menu and am always pleasantly surprised with the freshness and tastyness of their food. Oh, and a good selection of beer on tap too!
