351 King St E #40, Toronto, ON M5A 2W4, Canada
I find this location is very inconsistent, possibly because it's newer but I had hoped they'd have it figured out by now. The gyoza are normally a little underdone and there's never enough sauce. In fact, tonight my order arrived with no sauce! The Karaage is usually soggy too. I find the pork to be a bit too fatty and not rendered enough. I'm going to start going back to the Church St location, it's way more consistent over there.
I recently visited and ordered the spicy garlic ramen, my favorite go-to. Right from the moment I stepped in, the experience was smooth – the staff greeted me warmly and quickly found me a table. My order arrived in no time, and they perfectly accommodated the customizations I requested. The ramen was, as always, delicious, with just the right kick of spice and garlic. Overall, the service was attentive and efficient, making it a great dining experience.
The place was crowded on the first day of opening... It had a good offer as welll... The ramen chicken original and veggie spicy garlic tasted very nice.... Loved the flavours and the bamboo shoots were a nice addition. The egg was proper consistency as well....i would recommend this place and the franchise is famous as well...
Pretty good To add: it was strange to order karaage without some sort of sauce like other places normally do. The price was a little steep for 3 little pieces. The atmosphere was nice and I’m hoping it stays that way for a long time. Wait tine for food was pretty quick when we came in. Overall pretty good
I noticed the location on my journeys in the area and needing something nice and warm figured I’d stop in. I had made up my mind for the combo with the original beef ramen, Tokyo fries and just an iced tea. The restaurant was spotless, the music was playing a a pretty good level so much so you could hear it and enjoy it without losing your conversations. The service was friendly and fast. Friendly is an understatement to how polite the staff are. My food came out in what could have been no more 5-8 minutes. Fries was crispy, interesting taste with the bonito flakes and nori. The portion was much bigger than I expected so be cautious and come hungry. The ramen was cooked well. The beef was not over cooked, the broth had a nice light flavour. I really enjoyed it, honestly the only slight I would say is I found mushroom (I asked for no mushroom as a preference, not due to allergy) and it was a tiny sliver. I will be back. The service was great and it’s something nice in the neighbourhood.
I visited the soft opening of this new location today and ordered a pork original and a chicken spicy jalapeno ramen. The pork original broth was light and not too salty, and the chicken spicy jalapeno ramen had just the right amount of spiciness. The staff greeted us as we entered and exited, which was a nice touch. There aren't many ramen places around this area, so I'm glad this one opened up! We'll definitely be back again!
Pretty solid ramen at an affordable price. I came here for lunch solo on a Tuesday. The restaurant was moderately busy. Their liquor license is still pending, so beer was unavailable. I opted for the gyoza and ramen combo. Wait times were generally short and service was friendly, although once it got busier I had a hard time flagging down a server to pay. The gyoza was really crispy and nicely done. I enjoyed it quite a lot. The ramen (original pork) was solid. The broth was exceptionally porky with strong peppery notes. The noodles had a little bit of bite to them, which is my preference. It's not anything groundbreaking, nor my favourite ramen in the city, but for a quick and reliable bite it's a great spot. I'd come back here.
Nice addition to the neighborhood. The food is pretty good, not the best ramen I've had, but solid. The restaurant is brand new, well decorated, the service is good and the prices are quite affordable. We'll be back.
Ramen has three soup bases: tonkotsu, soy sauce, and miso. The spiciness is basically the tonkotsu soup base with added spiciness. The overall taste is pretty good, you can give it a try
It was so delicious that I drank it all!
Vegetarian options: Great service and plenty of tasty options for vegetarians! I recommend the spicy garlic! Food
Good ramen place in east downtown
My favorite ramen store in Toronto.
Great addition to neighborhood
Good vibe, very new and spacious interior
Very nice place. I love food here , i will recommend to all of my friends
Spicy beef ramen went crazy, beef melts in ur mouth. Whoever had aux crushed it as well (spicy for white ppl)
Good food and good ambiance
The food is tasty, the service is fast and efficient. The atmosphere is so nice. What a great location!
good food and staff!
Everything was very good
Happy to have a kinton in the neighbourhood!
Ramen was delicious
The service wasn t great, but the real problem was that the ramen had no flavor at all. After eating, I saw some reviews saying the same thing. I wouldn t recommend it if you re looking for ramen with taste.
Amazing ramen! Great veg and vegan options and well! Loved it.
Amazing place to come on a date. Most delicious Ramen in town for sure
Nice causal place but the ramen is flavourless. Vegetarian options: Boring vegetarian options Food : 2/5 |
It was very delicious! I want to come again!
Golden sesame was really good. I recommend that
Amazing ramen, tried the veggie spicy garlic and the veggie shoyu ramen - both the broths were extremely flavorful. The spicy garlic broth had a nice kick to it. Great option for a cold winter day!
I had Spicy Garlic Ramen. It was delicious and I thought the quantity was just right. Vegetarian options: They have 4 veggie Ramen options Wheelchair accessibility: Great
Amazing!! I loved the food and great service. definitely best ramen spot in the city, its a must try
Veggie spicy garlic was a bit spicy but everything was good
Chicken ramen was good, I see why it was starred
Great food! We had spicy beef and it was great
I have never been disappointed by the food or service (as shown in the picture ). I highly recommend it.
Visited for its opening, found the service really efficient (a table for two within 10m, and ramen delivered in another 10m despite how packed it was) and ramen was pretty good
Great experience at the new King Easter location. The Spicy beef ramen was great
This ramen restaurant was an absolute delight to dine at. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic ramen! I cant wait to return and try more items on their menu.
The servers were friendly and welcomed.
The best quality ramen in the city. The miso pork ramen was particularly successful. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. I definitely recommend it.
Delicious food. Fast and nice service. You should try Gyoza
Tried the veggie ramen option and it was a great first time experience. Would definitely love to go again.
The service is good The food is delicious, especially the prices are good .Vegetarian gyoza are my new favorites.
100% recommended, pork gyoza and Takoyaki delicious food, excellent service and good music.
Compared to other Kintons in the city this one was very underwhelming. Food did not taste fresh at all and service was poor with almost nobody in the restaurant.
Came on a quiet Sunday morning. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was great!
It s rly good!!
Pork spicy garlic ramen was extremely good!!!
Good place to chared with friends
$14.99 for lemonade, Tokyo fries, and simple ramen.
I had the Summer Ramencation combo. Taste is good and portions are filling, The special drink options weren t available and they substituted with housemade lemonade. Decent deal for $14.99 but know that the simple ramen does not have meat.
Original ramen was so gooooood!!! Arigato
So happy this opened up in the area. Going here all winter
My favorite Japanese ramen store in Toronto! Must try!
We had a wonderful experience at the new Kinton location on King St East. We ve been to many locations but this is by far our favorite. The Hot Karaage was fresh and delicious, wonderful ramen soup, great atmosphere. Our server Yukina was so specific and kind while taking care of us. Loved it
Nice and clean, with friendly service
Always friendly and try to make moment perfect
Spicy garlic pork always hits the spot thank you!!
Good vegetarian options! And our server Alina was great :)
Just had this super delicious ramen in a new Kinton Ramen. Nice atmosphere, friendly stuff. Thanks for the evening:)
Exceptional service
It was my first time trying ramen and it was delicious!! Thank you for the great experience!
Glad to have one on the east end to go with the Neo coffee! I always read the lowest reviews don t know what they are talking about . Everyone that said the broth is bland should run and do a Covid test. We had two different ramens this visit and both were great! Welcome to the neighborhood! We will be here again!
Great place...great food....great experience.
It s so good!!!
Glad that the highly anticipated opening has arrived, and Kinton Ramen can show the east side some love. Good vibes, chill ambiance and great Ramen, as expected. Vegetarian options: Got em Dietary restrictions: Disclose dietary restrictions and/or food allergies before ordering. Parking: Paid street parking nearby and on King East during off-peak hours. Read the signs ;) Kid-friendliness: It s fairly kid-friendly, my co-pilot actually contributed to this review. No crayons or coloring books, so consider bringing your own activity pack or deck of Uno cards as necessary.
Fastest service ever. I think i will visit here more often
Worst Kinton ramen in Toronto. Very rude. Got my order completely wrong and blamed it on me. The noodles were uncooked. Never had such a rude staff at any other restaurant before. Above all that asked me to pay the full price and expected a tip.
Terrible experience, the completely ruined a farewell dinner for my friend who was leaving to Europe, they completely messed up his order, he asked for half noddles they brought double noddles and they were undercooked, the chicken broth was greasy like it was pork in it, so he lost his appetite and we told them we were leaving. At that point, the staff acted aggressive and they forced us to pay, I told them to call the police but they continue to harass us asking for payment, it was the most horrible experience I ever have in a restaurant.
Delicious food, fast service, the white guy server speaks Japanese which is very cool. The atmosphere is like I ve walked into Japan.
Basic McDonalds of Ramen nothing special. Cheesecake potion is tiny for price
The ramen was not seasoned at all. It lacked a deep flavour that you would get with a long simmering broth. Chicken karaage was expensive at $10 for three bite-sized pieces. Did not come with any dip. Also under seasoned. Wait staff was friendly.
Very yummy food.
Amazing food and chill environment.
Food is delicious and good vibe!!!
Very good food and service
Lives up to the Kinton name! Such a gem.
Won t substitute an ingredient if you have an allergy Did not provide me garlic or soy when asked. Did not even check on my food. Highly recommend you avoid if you are a ramen lover.
The staff is friendly and polite, the food is amazing and the location is perfect. I had some chicken miso ramen and it was deliciouss. 10/10
I was disappointed in the ramen tonight. It was just salty and not too flavourful...missing umami flavour. The mouthwash in the washroom was a great touch though.
Were so glad this location finally opened! Some great Ramen with in a warm and welcoming atmosphere! This is going to become a neighbourhood staple! Kid-friendliness: Ample space and seating Wheelchair accessibility: No ramps to stairs, bathroom on main floor
Beware of this place. Do NOT recommend!!! If you are charging people $20 tax in for a small bowl of noodle, at the very least give them some food especially protein. We were there last Saturday for the soft opening. Floor was dirty. Not full as we were there between lunch and dinner. We ordered spicy pork w/garlic and original beef & were intended to have some other food (you never know about soft opening, especially we were there between lunch and dinner time...ask how I know) The server didnt want to give us water and was trying to get us to buy green tea. After that, never came back to check on us. We didnt see him and were cashed out by someone else Then when the 2 bowls of noodles came.... Spicy pork with garlic: I had TWO (2) small pieces of shaved thin porks (around 1 by 1.5 and maybe 2cm thick) in my entire bowl along with 4 bites of thin noodles & a big lump of raw garlic. With the so called broth it covered just over 1/2 of the bowl. Mind you the bowl is in a cone shape, so there are very little products there! The 2 small pieces of shaved pork - very tough, overcooked. If it wasnt that the big lump of garlic was placed on 1 piece of shaved pork, I might have only getting 1 lousy thin piece! Big lump of raw garlic - overpowering everything. I love garlic but a dish needs to have harmony, especially if you want to call your food Japanese! Thin noodles - ok texture but wish I got more than 4 bites. I am kind of glad that these noodles did not absorb the subpar borth Spicy broth - all you can taste is the heat. Lots of MSG and no depth to the soup. Absolutely no love that you can taste Original beef - a bit better. At least my friend got 3 pieces of thicker then shaved beef (still small and still overcooked) and 1 full egg (not the soft cooked kind... overcooked again). The broth - reminded us of Chambell can chicken soup....did they even make their own soup anymore?! We held back on ordering anything else. We finished the so called noodle in record time! If you ran out of ingredients, let your customers know instead of cheating them. I rather stay home and make my own instead noodle .... at least I would have more protein with the same type of MSG soup! This is NOT real Japanese. Your products are so extremely further away from the superior ones when you opened your 1st shop in TO. Its a real shame!!! Congratulations on saving your $1 of pork. Will not go back again!!!!!! Parking: Hard to find parking even on a Saturday
The best place to have ramen at!!
William was our server and he did an amazing job, he was super friendly and the plate he recommended from the menu was amazing. Pretty good job and will be back soon
Good service. Food was average.
It is great to have a new restaurant in the east end that is otherwise filled with furniture stores. And kinton Ramen is already a well-known name when it comes to ramen. With its affordable bowls of ramen to choose from and nice pleasant surrounding, I can see myself a repeat diner. I wish this location of kinton ramen a success and to stay a while.
Waiting 45+ min for Ramen doesnt make sense. Restaurant was only half full. it is essentially only 4 main dishes but cant seem to get it out in a timely manner. After 45 min of waiting my lunch hr was up, I had to cancel my order only for my server to tell me they havent even started making it. Its Ramen, I am not sure I understand why this is so difficult to get out? I wasnt the only one who had to wait such a long time. There were lots of people getting frustrated even in the pick up line. Your time and money is finite. Go spend both somewhere else.
Great spot - just need to dim the lights on the inside and outside. WAYYYY too bright. Create some atmosphere.
I have never had such a bad dining experience, waiting for a meal for a very long time, about 40 minutes, ordering only one bowl of noodles, and then the server Alina mistakenly gave my noodles to someone else, and then tried to return them to me after they had eaten. Finally, I waited for 40 minutes before the food was served. After the above experience, I asked them to give me some discount and was rejected. Before I went to other branches of this store, the experience was good, but this store was very bad
Best beef ramen and cheesecake Ive ever had!!
Was very excited to have Ramen in this neighborhood. Unfortunately the experience was, not great. Firstly, the renovation is nice and I like the design but there are horribly loud HVAC fans running constantly which really spoils that atmosphere. Secondly, we had an issue with one of our sodas tasting wrong, we told the server and he asked the owner and they said nothing they can do about it. Lol what? Every restaurant Ive ever been to has never had a problem taking a drink back when it tasted wrong much less a soda. Thirdly, the server never came back after this. They didnt check how the meal was. They didnt top up our water, and I had to physically get up and go ask them for the bill. Whats the point of going out to eat when this is the experience? To the owner, congrats you saved a dollar on soda and have lost hundreds of dollars in repeat business from myself and my partner who love dining out in our neighborhood. Stop thinking short term and do right by your customers. Unlikely to be back.
Was excited to see a kinton come up on the east end unfortunately i was extremely disappointed. The photos of the ramen bowls on the menu show eggs and all toppings but none of them are actually included. You get NO egg, you have to pay extra for one. The broth was bland and tastless and everything was overpriced, didnt even include basic toppings any other ramen place would include free of charge. They charge extra for spicy as well. A tiny bowl of fries which was not even the equal size of a small fries at mcdonalds cost 10$. the pork was overcooked, tasteless, cold and chewy. This place is a complete disservice, save your money and get quality ramen down the street at places like sansotei ramen.
Beef Spicy Thick is the best, and the hot karaage is super spicy! Ill definitely be coming back often.
Went twice to give it a second chance cause the first time was disappointing and thought it was just cause they just opened and that they were still very new so errors are going to be inevitable. Too bad that that the second time we went to it was more of the same or less experience. We had ordered our usual orders from different our usual kinton location; which was the pork spicy garlic and the ramen was very tasteless and was not up to par. We had told the server about our experience and he just more or less told us there was nothing he could do. We asked to speak to the manager and the owner came out instead. He basically told us the same thing and said we had to pay for it because we ate it (we LITERALLY had 2 bites before we put it down). He kept going on and on before agreeing to take it off. By far the worst customer service experience I ve had and will 100% not be returning. They need to work on their customer service skills because this was not it.
We had an incredible time at Kinton Ramen! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for our group of friends. We started with the Gyoza, which were crispy and packed with flavor, and the Karaage chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. Of course, the highlight was the ramen I went with the spicy garlic pork ramen, and it was hands down one of the best bowls I ve ever had. The broth was rich and full of depth. The service was also outstanding. Our server was friendly, and made sure our drinks were always refilled. We also tried the Matcha Cheesecake for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet finish to an amazing meal. Kinton Ramen is definitely going to be our go-to spot for ramen nights from now on!
Me and my boyfriend have come to this location twice and both times were disappointing. I ve been to many different locations and have always gotten the same thing but somehow this locations recipe was different? No flavour, no spice, just bland. We came here the second time because maybe it was just an off day for them, but it was the same thing. We took a bite of the ramen and told them we didn t like it and wanted it off the bill and they were hassling us. Saying it was against policy and they d give us a kinton coupon instead? We talked to 2 other workers before the owner came out and he was dead set on making us pay for a meal we didn t even touch. He finally caved and took it off the bill but that was by far the worst customer service experience I ve had to date. Will definitely not be returning to this location and will be sticking to our usual church st. location.
Amazing service and great food! Excited to come back soon! Thanks Alina :)
Food is amazing!
Kid-friendliness: Went with our young daughter and a newborn and they were very accommodating. Food
Very enjoyable dinner ! Would highly recommend to anyone. Very friendly service.
That Spicy ramen with seasoned egg!
The best ramen I ve had in Toronto. Alina was helping us for the meal and her customer service was outstanding.
Best Server in Toronto is Alina, best service.. And really amazing food Food
The best server I had in my lifetime is Alina
Best Ramen in Town!!
Best ramen, cozy spot and friendly staff! Recommend the Veggie Miso - can t get enough
I really liked the spicy beef garlic ramen. It has great flavour and was filling. Service was quick and the restaurant is not too loud.
Love Kinton, it s been a while since I ve visited. Excited to have tried their new east end location today. It was exactly what I needed. My picture says it all
I love that kinton just opened up in my area. You gotta try the chicken shoyu that s my top pick and then if you are into spicy the beef spicy garlic is amazing and it s actually quite hot so be ready to sweat! Vegetarian options: They have four types of veggie options. That all look amazing so u can pick between there original or shoyu, miso & spicy
I came in with friends not hungry after I already ate at home ended up eating my boyfriend s shoyu ramen and he had to order another one!!
Got the chicken ramen with less salt. Hit the spot and was very comforting! Yummy stuff
Super happy that Kinton finally opened an East end location! Weve been supporting Kinton since they opened back in the day and its nice seeing that they have expanded! We order the Meal for Two for $41.99 plus tax. We had the Prok Miso Ramen and Pork Spicy Garlic and they were good. The broth could be a bit richer but they were good nonetheless.
Amazing staff and delicious food. Highly recommend trying the spicy garllc beef ramen
Love this place XO
A Kinton in this area was much needed! The pork spicy garlic ramen was yummy, and our server William was attentive and kind.
The food was really good and William was a very kind and attentive server! Will definitely be back
Amazing food and staff!! Adam, the manager was very nice. Will be going back soon!
Had amazing experience on their opening event. Definetely best ramen I had so far, I will recommend the Beef Garlic Ramen to those who like spicy. The broth is very tasteful, and the ramen noodle was well cooked, the egg also well seasoned also cooked just right. I love it! Definetly will comeback for more!
