The pastries are absolutely delightful! It was such a relief to be able to choose anything from the menu without worrying about gluten content.

I was really looking forward to trying out the bistro for the first time as I m a regular customer at the other location. But I was highly disappointed. The onion rings tasted like fish and the fries were sloppy with not much care given to presentation. Portions were very small and the menu was overpriced. 20 dollars for a grilled cheese sandwich Won t be coming back here unfortunately. I give it two stars because the bread was good and the waitress swapped my fries for a salad. The staff were very friendly. Moral of the story, I think AB should stick to baked goods and coffee

Food was pretty good here, the service was the bigger problem. My starter soup took a while to come out and when it eventually did it arrived at the same time as our mains. My sandwich and fries got cold while I ate my soup. When I moved on to eating the grilled chicken sandwich I realized it had come with no bacon despite the server having asked me when ordering if I wanted the bacon which the item comes with .. which I had answered yes to. They did rectify the issue after I notified them. To go box and bill also took a long time despite the restaurant being pretty quiet. I don t think we will rush back due primarily to the service. We wanted to love it as my fiancé was recently told to follow a gluten free diet, shame.

The gf cupcakes cookies only if tasted as good as they look this place would be a 5. Breakfast and food was good. Does take some time.

The food is really good!! Most things are fried so take that into account but if you ve been missing a delicious burger and onion rings and you have gluten dietary restrictions don t skip this place. We had wings, fish and chips, and the smokehouse burger and fries and they were delicious. After we shared the tiramisu for dessert and it was incredible! We came for dinner on a super busy Saturday - we had to wait a bit longer for our food and the manager more than made up for it. Great experience and very friendly staff.

I guess they can make money ripping off people who have few choices. Disgusting pizza and disgusting onion rings. Your customers money and time are worth something, you know. Act like it, or even the desperate people who have to buy your disgusting food will go somewhere else.

A shockingly disappointing meal. The joke was on us as there was not a single person in the restaurant when we sat to eat, and still the server forgot half of our party s order. Nothing is cooked fresh on site, most things are reheated or deep fried. Our fries were still frozen on the inside when we received them. The gluten free buns were rock hard, I almost broke a tooth. The food was tasteless and the prices were nonsensical, I cannot believe they are charging what they do. The only thing I enjoyed was my iced coke. Sorry for the brutal review I m shocked at the 4.3 rating! I wish I had photos to show you but it would have been a waste of space on my phone.

I was diagnosed with Celiac a year ago and the hardest part for me is feeling inconvenient when trying to eat out. My sister and I were in Toronto for Taylor Swift and knowing we d be eating out a lot I pre-googled gluten free restaurants before we arrived and found this sweet little spot. Arriving, seeing how fulsome and delicious the menu is and having that moment of realization that I could eat anything I wanted to I felt normal for the first time in a year! It was actually my birthday too, and our server made a point to bring over a cupcake with a candle. Your business has created something special for people like me, and I can t thank you enough for the experience. Unfortunately, I don t live close, but I know I will be back next time I m in Toronto. Total commitment to gluten-free. Food was fabulous. BUT do not order tea! They have no clue how tea is made. Coffees are fine.

Im so happy Ive finally found a 100% gluten free spot in Toronto. Lovely atmosphere, very nice service, delicious tiramisu, and cant wait to try their brunch! Second time here. The burgers were incredible! The dairy free cheese was a perfect compliment to the BBQ sauce. The buns were nice and fluffy, not dry. The staff were kind and the service was quick! As someone with Celiac Disease and limited dining options at home in Michigan, I was extremely happy to dine at Almond Butterfly Bistro while visiting Toronto. My mom and I stopped in for lunch, and I was thrilled with the gluten-free fish and chips! Where I live, the only gluten-free option is tilapia, so it was a real treat to have haddock, and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, my mom, who doesn t have Celiac, ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and was disappointed. The chicken s texture was tough rather than tender, making it difficult to eat. We were also let down by the service. Despite being the only diners in the restaurant, our waitress seemed distracted and never asked how our food was. I wanted to send back my mom s sandwich, but we didn t get the chance and ended up paying the bill as is my mom ended up having a snack in the car instead. We each got a cupcake to go, but the texture was quite dry, even for gluten-free, which was disappointing. However, my mom did get a specialty fall espresso drink and said it was fantastic, so there were definitely some highlights. While I m so happy to find a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, we were a bit disappointed with the overall experience.

We have been here several times in the past. My daughter and I both being celiac, it is nice to have a place that is both completely safe and delicious. The great experiences weve had in the past is what helped inform our choice of Almond Butterfly as the place for my birthday brunch. We had a reservation, and do to unforeseen traffic we were running about 10 min late. Our fault; but we made sure to call well in advance to let them know, and we were reassured it was fine and our table would be waiting for us when we arrived. When we arrived, we were put at a table fit for two, even though there were three of us. Fine. The restaurant was busy and we arrived late, so I understand giving us the table they had ready to get us seated. My daughter is a server, we understand stuff happens. But do to where the table was (right by the front windows where its pretty but the glass creates this greenhouse effect) we asked if there were any other tables open we would be able to move to. That is when things started going downhill. We were first told no other tables were available, then ignored for 40 minutes. Only managed to order one drink (before we asked to move), then nothing. When we were finally told there was an open table, we moved and thought everything would get better. Still waited another 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. When we were, there was no apology or awareness to being ignored for the last hour. If the restaurant was still busy we would have understood more, but it had emptied out in the last hour and a half of us waiting. After the food was ordered, we waited another half an hour to get it. The wait would be fine, but my daughter raised the point the food was cold, dried out, over done and the plates hot - an indicator that they were most likely sitting under the heat lamp for a bit too long. Would have said something at the time but the server didnt come back to check in on us till the end of our meals. We were hungry, we had waited almost 2 hours to finally get our food from when we arrived, and at a certain point you have to pick your battles. Over all, just really really disappointed in a restaurant we love.

Visited this location as a perfect cap to a day date at TIFF. We had drinks and desserts everything was fresh and tasty. We both had the lavender lemonade and desserts which were vegan and delicious. Service here was fast and friendly.

I ve been to this location quite a few times over the years, however, I will no longer be returning. The service is horrible and keeps getting worse. Whenever I m seated my servers without fail always walk away when I want to place my order. Today, I watched my server walk away and chat with her coworker for nearly 15mins. I had to flag her down to take my order. The servers really need to start asking customers if they ve been at the restaurant before to gauge how much time to give them with a menu. A regular will immediately know what they want to order. After I placed my order my server once again did not return to bring me any water. She sat behind the cash register in front of my table and noticed a few minutes later I had nothing to drink. She finally brought something over. Once my food arrived, a family arrived shortly after and sat beside my table. Another server came to take their order, only to stand right beside me. Her ass was inches from my food and face, it made me so uncomfortable. The other side of the table has so much space, I don t understand why she felt like standing so close to me? Her train of thought made zero sense. I asked for my bill right after. Another server that wasn t my original brought me a machine with the final amount, she looked directly at it and placed it front of me. I noticed there was no tip option. I paid and looked at the receipt only to notice a 10$ difference. From there I realized the server pre selected a tip for me. Which really pissed me off, 10$ is a lot to tip and not earned when your service is terrible. When I brought this up, the cashier asked me what I would like to tip instead? I asked her to immediately refund my entire bill and let me select on my own with the machine. The server who originally handed me the machine apologized and said she accidentally selected the tip, which was hard to believe considering I witnessed her look at the amount when she first handed it to me. I no doubt believe she was hoping I would not notice and I feel this is a tactic they ve done with many other customers unfortunately. The combination of terrible service, poor table etiquette, and a forced tip has ensured I will never return. Its unfortunate because there are so few gluten-free and vegan-friendly options in the city.

We went to Almond Butterfly for brunch during a weekend in Toronto and it was among the best gluten free meals I have EVER had. None of my friends are celiac, and all of them thought the food (and bread!!) was fabulous. Its so rare to be able to go to a celiac-safe restaurant that doesnt make your fellow diners leave somewhat disappointed. We ordered one of the toasts with lox, french toast, and steak and eggs, with a side of onion rings (10/10). The one thing I would say is to order eggs over easy if you want over medium and etc. Our server was ADORABLE and so helpful. I would drive 3 hours to go to this restaurant.

For a neighbourhood eatery the Almond Butterfly is perfect. Great food, atmosphere, service and washroom! Everything is great, and far better coffee, by a mile, than Starbucks.

I don t usually leave reviews, but the food was really not great. The English breakfast was okay, but the pancakes were just horrible. The texture was off, and it was overall not good.

Visited here for brunch, tried the farmers breakfast and really liked it. Certain things were better gluten-free such as the toast but the pancake was a little heavy. The home fries, bacon, eggs, and tomatoes were all amazing. We also tried the gluten-free cupcake and I loved the icing, but the almond flour dough was too grainy for my taste. Everyone working there was very nice and helpful.

Finally, a place that makes gluten-free food fun and normal, and doesnt try to dress it up as a health fad. Fish and chips? Delicious and generous. Chicken fingers? Nice and crispy. More gluten-free restaurants need to follow suit. Do you find gluten-free pie slices hard to find in the city? So do I. In the fall they serve pie slices w ice cream, too if you want it. I ordered via Uber eats- the avocado was basically black and the toast was burnt and stale. Never again. Don t waste your money, order elsewhere Updated**** I sent a photo and advised Uber eats and they fully refunded me.

I order all the time in person, and on Uber eats. Placed an order at 830pm, it was accepted and said the order was ready was waiting on a driver. At 920pm I got a call the order was cancelled. Completely poor customer service, now many other restaurants are also close and my gluten free option is more limited. Very displeased.

I go to Almond Butterfly since a few years. I love this place. However, I was very disappointed today. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk. The waitress didnt tell me that it was an add on, I would I have appreciated to know. But that didnt bug me as much because replacing milk by almond milk is at an extra cost in other places. Then the waitress asked me if I wanted vanilla flavor, I said ok. It was another add on that I wasnt aware of. I personnaly didnt care about the flavor. I wouldnt agree if I knew about the cost. I felt a little bit duped. The worst though, is that I ordered a fish and chips, and substituted the fries by a salad. The waitress didnt tell me it was an add on. So it means I ordered a single piece of fish for $24 + and extra for salad. It sounded a bit expensive for me. The waiters should let the clients know when there is an extra cost when they ask for something to avoid any bad surprises...

I went out for brunch with my friend yesterday but I was pretty disappointed with the food. When the Farmers breakfast came out, I noticed that the eggs were cold and the cajun home fries were basically fried bits without the potato inside. The eggs were flavourless and the fries were way over salted. I didnt want to complain because the food took a very long time to come out. Our server was lovely though and offered us free drinks for the long wait. I just wish the food had been up to par, for the price it is. Im not sure I will be returning for brunch.

This restaurant was recently named a top 10 spot for brunch on BlogTo so went and tried it out. The food was ok to be honest. The pancake batter tasted a bit undercooked and the salmon toast was decent but didn t wow me.

Pros: - Good food, affordable coffee, and the servers are pleasant! - There are 3 bathrooms, outside seating, and plenty of seating indoors. - Lovely design, environment, and music - Chai latte was delicious! Cons: - Food took a decent while to come out despite the restaurant not being full. - The apple pancakes were filled with oil, similar to a deep-fried taste (however there are plenty of other options).

The service was good, the food was decent, and the atmosphere was nice. However, it was a bit too pricey for the portion size.

I went here two months ago and we waited so long for our food, by the time it came it was cold. However the food WAS really good. I don t know if they have new management or a new chef but the food today was terrible. Not only did it take very long again but everything looked cheap - the bread, the avocado spread. It was not as high quality and the potatoes tasted like cardboard. I hope that they can change back to the quality they had before.

We had an absolutely incredible breakfast experience at this place during our visit from the States, largely thanks to Julianne, our exceptional waitress. From the moment we walked in, Julianne greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. She was incredibly accommodating and patient with our family of 4, who all had different requests for our orders. Juliannes knowledge of the menu was impressive, and her recommendation for their sweetest in-house tea was hands down, the best sweet tea weve had outside of the South. Not only was the food delicious fresh and perfectly prepared but Juliannes genuine hospitality and positive attitude made our breakfast memorable and enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming vibe of the restaurant added to the charm. We cant thank Julianne and the staff enough for their outstanding service and for making us feel like valued guests. If youre looking for a top-notch breakfast spot with exceptional service, look no further!

Great gf food. Huge portions. We ordered stake, different types of potatoes, burger and onion rings. Everything was delicious. We couldn t eat everything because size of meals was very big, it was enough for us to take away what s left and have a good snack later in the day :) We were allowed to eat with our cat on the patio.

Honestly been here too many times and every time I leave even more disappointed than the last! Why does the food take over 50 min? For a steak we waited 40 minutes as those that ordered after us got their food and we waited. I got penne pasta and the noodles came back cold and hard stuck together, my mother s fries were charcoal black. Don t get me started on the staff it s like they are racist or something like what is going on? They are all cold and rude and ignore us every time, I shouldn t have to ask for service more than 3 times to get attention from my server. Get warm water meanwhile the tables around us got cold water. We sit outside and they forget about us for over 20 min? The restaurant was empty with only one other table yet the staff paid is no attention. when complained about food they gave excuses and said they would reimburse us. i was not going to complain but the owner should know how bad they are running the business. Also weird how the two Latinas are having experiences here yet the White ladies around me are being treated like royalty. best believe me and my clientele wont be coming here again

Mice infested! While using the washroom I spotted a mouse.. imagine the kitchen. I raised this issue and was brushed off by staff. The owner was treating the staff terribly and it was very uncomfortable. The food was mediocre with a menu that s all over the place. There are much better gluten free options in the city. I don t recommend supporting this place.

We found this on a recommendation from reddit and Atly when we searched for Gluten Free brunch spots! The whole menu is GF, also looked like there were some vegan options as well. We ordered the pancakes with berries, banana Nutella pancakes and 2 caramel iced lattes. Highly recommend the Nutella pancakes! The atmosphere was very cute, had a very delicious display case of pastries and a cute little coffee bar. Went to dinner here with a few friends. I got the chicken fingers & fries. And everyone else got pizzas, burgers etc. Overall I enjoyed the fingers, and the fries were super salty just the way I like it. Everyone else had mixed feelings on the other items, but overall I enjoyed myself, and the food.

I ve consistently gone here for almost five years now (maybe longer?) and I love it here! As a celiac it s the best place in town to get food but I would say that it s slightly on the pricier side since it s specialty, and that if you have a very sensitive gut (as a celiac) sometimes it can be a little hard to digest. Overall definitely recommend and I bring everyone I know here for any dinner I have out! I ve had relationships that begun and ended here

A solid gluten free bakery/ restaurant option! I picked up a lemon cupcake on a weekday evening, and it was fresh and soft 2 days later (I kept it in the fridge). Prices are on the higher side, but it is a specialty item due to it being uncontaminated with wheat products. They dont accept American Express. Service is good

In Toronto this weekend and went here for dinner tonight, really cool spot. Only thing I ll say is the portions are quite big imo so just a fair warning. Staff very respectful and friendly. My fiancé is celiac so having a place that is basically 100% gluten free is a dream come true for her haha. Recommend to anyone looking for a good dinner gluten free spot.

I had some gf dishes with my family. Tastes were great(better than i thought), and I didnt feel much of the rough texture that gf bread usually has. Deliciously cooked. The outdoor patio doesnt seem comfortable and quiet enough as a dining area since tables and chairs are set alongside the street, facing lots of cars, bikes, and street cars running fast with all noise. Oh my! I have been GF for about 15 years and this French toast brought a tear to me eye. Light, crispy, not to sweet - just amazing. We ate here just a short time in Toronto but we will eat here again!

This place is hopping on a weekend. My friend who has celiac can indulge here. Most everything is gluten free. You also have milk substitute available here. I have had latte, cookies, cupcakes and brunch. Everything is amazing. The onion rings are my favorite though.

Almond Butterfly really needs to improve their menu options and the standard of gluten-free food they serve. As a resident of Toronto with celiac disease, it is challenging to locate top-notch gluten-free bakeries & bistros, and Almond Butterfly is one establishment I would not recommend. A visit to Europe to observe how gluten-free cuisine is expertly crafted would be greatly beneficial for them. Really hoping they will take this as constructive criticism.

I LOVE Almond Butterfly Bistro. I am not gluten free myself by have brought a number of friends here that are gluten free and heard rave reviews. As well, the staff are SO lovely and friendly. Special shout out to Juliana, we came with a large group and she was SO nice and accommodating and made for the most amazing experience. %100000 would recommend!!

Almond Butterfly is one of my favourite brunch spots. The food is fresh and tasty, layered without being fussy. The bakes are so good, you might not even be able to tell they are gluten free, dairy free and/or vegan. The staff is so kind, making it a pleasure to eat there. I went for my birthday recently and they made sure to make it extra special.

We come from a small place with not many Gluten free options for my son who has Celiacs. It was Victoria Day and lots were closed and then we found this GEM! Everything on the menu was gluten free my son was in his glee. The meal took a little longer but that s because it was busy! We didn t mind at all but our awesome hostess came by and apologized for the meal taking so long and offer my son a free baked good and my wife and I a mimosa on the house. The food here is amazing and the service was A+++! We re from the far East and my son now calls this his favourite restaurant. Thanks for everything . Do not kid yourself. This is by far the best gluten free restaurant that I have been to. Everything on the menu was gluten free! They had delicious baked goods, meals that you wished you could order at normal restaurants and very pleasant staff. All the food that I had ordered was delicious! I had mixed feelings when the pizza arrived, because I thought this pizza is small for this prize. However, when I took the first bite I quickly had to check other reviews to make sure this place is really dedicated gluten-free. Oh boy is this pizza amazing! Another great meal at Almond Butterfly. My husband is gluten free which is why we keep coming back, but the rest of the family isn t and still loves the food. Highly recommend the French toast and the smoked salmon on toast. The banana Nutella pancake is also amazing. For lunch the chicken fingers and grilled cheese are stand out.

Visited this place recently and noticed overall evidence of bottom line cost saving quality and safety concerns on our breakfast order: _ Rotten avocado, showing highly visible black colouring all around _ Re-fried old potatoes - Very small eggs cooked over water, to save in oil/ butter (water was pouring out of the uncooked eggs) - Milk was pre-poured on coffee - Upon asking for marmalade, it was served on a side dish Other than that, the bread was fresh and good. Overall a regret.

I have searched far and wide in Toronto for the best glutenfree breakfast cookie, and this place is absolutely the BEST! Please never, ever take it off the menu. If youre gluten-sensitive like me with friends/family who love gluten, this is a great option for brunch - everything is so tasty they wont realize they arent eating gluten. Yummy!

I made reservations for Easter brunch and I was not disappointed at all. Being someone who has to deal with Celiac disease, eating out is literally playing Russian roulette. I was in Toronto visiting my daughter and spending some time with friends and in my planning for this trip, I found this place. I quickly decided to give it a try for breakfast and it was so good. Great dedicated gluten free restaurant. The whole place is gluten free, all the way down to the beer. I had the crispy chicken sandwich with russet potato fries. I love fries and these were great. Tasted like real potatoes and were nice and salty. The sandwich was nice, the bread was above average for gluten free, but still fell apart a little bit. From my understanding they have a separate bakery that is also gluten free, and the chocolate chip cookie is amazing. The lemon poppyseed muffin was nice, but a little sweet. The only comment I have was service wasn t the best. There was only one waitress and she was on her phone or distracted most of the time. Vegetarian options: Many vegan and vegetarian options and substitutions. Dietary restrictions: Very safe option for gluten intolerance.

Delicious! A great stop for a gluten free bite. The pancake was a little dry, but still good. The toast was a delicious sourdough (gluten free), the hash browns, vegan sausage, and beans were fantastic! In addition, the restaurant interior is beautiful.

This place is my go-to for a brunch date with the girls! I always have difficulty choosing what to get as everything ive had has been amazing! The Banana Nutella pancakes and the French Toast are probably my favourite though! The atmosphere is lovely & the staff are so nice! And honestly the $5 mimosas make every brunch date even more fun!

I was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and have been a little depressed with how limited I am in terms of places to eat out for a treat. We madebthe trek down to the Almond Butterfly Bistro on a reccomendation from my Celiac community and were not dissapointed. The staff were friendly and kind, the food was delicious and generously portioned and I left feeling happy. I have not felt safe esting since my diagnosis at Christmas 2023. Lovely meal!

Dined in for two just before 10am on a reso, the aesthetics were bright and cozy and there was plenty of open tables. We ordered the west palm avocado toast, traditional breakfast (with chorizo) and originally the banana pancakes with Nutella, as our server forgot to mention the pancake special (apple pancakes). The west palm was enjoyable and ingredients fresh, the traditional breakfast came with one half burnt chroizo sausage and the over medium eggs came over hard, unfortunately. But our real issue was with the service. Our server failed to inform us of the pancake special and also failed to collect dirty plates off our table (we moved them ourselves to the adjacent table). If the resto was busy we would understand, but she only had two tables to serve, and that s including ours. Had difficulty getting our servers attention as she was constantly chatting with the barista with her back to the restaurant.

I ordered delivery from here just for myself. I know the restaurant from walking by but had never been in. I ordered fish and chips with an extra piece of fish. A rare treat for me because I am gluten free. I really enjoyed my meal and had the extra piece the next day and it was just as good. I ll be trying more of the menu at some point. I do find it expensive, at least through Uber Eats it got pricey. I had a special from Uber Eats and my bill was still $50 or so. I will probably go in person next time. Update! In-person on my birthday and it was lovely. Mimosa was delicious! Dietary restrictions: Enjoyed dining in rather than delivering from Uber.

Had breakfast here and it was amazing. We ordered pancakes, and the breakfast dish. The pancakes were so nice but they were a bit dry. I also ordered a mocha, they used chocolate syrup and it didn t taste that good, if they substitute it with something else it would be much better. They had amazing cookies and cupcakes, their cookies were to die for, so fresh and huge. The atmosphere was really cute, and our server was really nice and helpful. Overall it was an amazing experience and definitely will come back again.

Cute spot but the service is awful. We walked in and we waited around 10 minutes by the cold before we asked the person at the cash if we can seat ourselves? They said no and a hostess will be with us. Then a hostess came and told us to sit at a table. Didn t come take our orders so we waited at the table. I wanted a coffee so I went to the cash to order a coffee and then my friend came up to do the same and the cashier got rude and said to her to go sit down? Because we have a server? The server came and was rude and honestly I just felt like they re understaffed. Too much waiting. Won t go back.

I came in for dinner. Excited to come from 3 1/2 hours away to find a gluten-free restaurant. We ordered onion rings they were to die for we ordered chicken fingers, and french fries, The chicken was so hard that you couldn t even pull it apart to eat it or chew it. The server apologized and took it off The bill. Dined here multiple times before and wasn t disappointed but lately not sure what is happening there, hope this can be fixed and we don t lose a wonderful gluten-free dining option. Came down again today and they were out of most of their popular foods, so we didn t dine today. Very sad. We look forward to eating there!!

The food was good, loved the bacon. For me personally I would not go out of my way to come back, however for people who need/prefer to eat gluten free, I can see making the trip out of your way for the food/baked goods. Loved the $5 mimosas on weekdays 11-5 and appreciated that there were a few juice choices. Found service to be slow, I don t know if it was an issue of being short staffed or the server allowing us to visit and just not communicating this but we had a child in our party so placed her food order while waiting for a member of our party to arrive and her fish & chips took approximately 30 mins to come out. Was nice when paying that bills were easily split and the debit/cc machine can literally be passed from person to person based on your total without being programmed each time (first time I ve seen that and very convenient).

This place is one of the only safe GF restaurants in the city. Lots of options for food and the food is really tasty. Unfortunately both times Ive been there the music is up WAY too loud. As a result all guests are shouting just to hear each other. The atmosphere would be much nicer if you guys put down the volume a bit.

Got a almond chocolate chip muffin. There was some coconut in it though which was upsetting because I really dislike coconut. But that aside the muffin itself was on the dry side. The texture could have been better for sure

Went to have lunch with some friends and had a great experience! Definitely a popular spot for brunch and I d recommend reserving a table (which you can do on their website through open table). The smoked salmon toast and West Palm are unique dishes and have such lovely delicious details. You must try their Lady Lavender mocktail! If you re not their for $5 mimosas give their mocktails a try.

We walked 40 minutes for this bistro while visiting and it was worth every step for the sandwiches , cupcakes and cookies , while eating outside a monarch butterfly landed on the rail just to make it the an olive perfect experience . We even got an Uber to deliver at our hotel the following day .

Where to start: I was there today and I thought I would die because of the air conditioning that was there to make us sick. The waitress/staff very friendly, nothing to say. I ordered pancakes and the big surprise: the fruit on the pancakes was frozen.... Its shameful for the price of the pancakes... plus the texture wasnt very well done... Ive eaten much better ones in France even though France isnt even specialized in this area. I do not recommend for brunch especially you will have to wear your Canada Goose jacket during the summer so as not to get sick because of the air conditioning which is -10 degrees

Great atmosphere. The service is good but we asked for our eggs medium and mine came hard and my partner s easy. As for the food, we had the farmer and the salmon toast. The farmer is good. A bit overpriced for what it is. The salmon toast is a bad experiment. They tried to do a twist on a bagel with cream cheese and lox mixed with a Benedict but without any of the good things of either. It ends up being bland. I d recommend they at least toast their bread or spice up their cream cheese or throw some oil on top of the eggs. The farmer had a good pancake so may try those next time. The cappuccinos weee well priced

I ordered the farmer s breakfast and cupcake from here a few days ago. Everything was super high quality, tasty and filling. The toast especially had a unique taste to it which was amazing! Will be ordering again. Update - changing my review to 2 stars because they let my Uber delivery driver wait 50 mins for my order today without cancelling. This led to a lot of frustration and work on my end to cancel the order. Wasted my whole day.

I was looking for somewhere I could eat me being gluten free and dairy free and not from toronto as my husband was transferred to Toronto western for emergency surgery. Let me tell you I was so happy to have found this amazing,beautiful and tasty little resturant. (A short walk from hospital too) There are so many options and they are beautifully prepared. The staff are friendly and helpful if your not sure what you would like. I was able to dine in and take out. They also have $5 mimosas! I will visit almond butterfly anytime Im in toronto!

I went with my Sisters and had to wait almost an hour for food to come even though people who came before us were served first. Horrible service and tight space. Nice decor though.

The best place for gluten free! The staff were great, super friendly and everything is gluten free! We had breakfast here and took baked goods to go. Orange-Mango mimosa, Grapefruit mimosa and Caesar for drinks. We had the pancake stack with berry compote and toast, eggs, Cajun hasbrowns, bacon and chorizo sausage. Everything was fantastic! We also got a loaf of bread to go it was so good! Cookies and blueberry muffin were excellent as well! Highly recommend if you are in the area ! This place is SO good. I took myself out one morning and it was bliss! The food tastes even nicer and richer than my memories of the regular wheat bread and so on. What is fabulous is that I feel I can have all of my hearts desires in this wonderful shoppe! I had the Farmers breakfast and substituted the bacon for breakfast patties. I secretly thought they were going to be gluten-free beyond meat Jamaican patties!!! But they were western beyond meat patties. And that was ok, lol, they were so delicious! Haha, at first I thought I was eating beef, which I have not eaten in decades, so it was really nice to have a wonderful meal, both gluten-free and vegan made that way ON PURPOSE. I had a great date with myself, and had the freshly squeezed lemonade that was just the right touch! The seating was comfortable. I was happy. Thank you!

I was visiting Toronto for less than 48 hours and really wanted to get something yummy gluten free I can t get at home. I found almond butterfly on FindmeGF. I ordered a sprinkle cookie, a chocolate chip cookie and a cupcake. The cup cake was dry and nothing to write home about but the cookies were amazing!!! I m sat here wishing I could have them at home! The lady who served me was also kind enough to fill my water bottle for me. Overall a fantastic experience and I will definitely return if I m ever in the city again. Big big recommend for ppl who are GF! Dietary restrictions: Excellent for those who eat gluten free!!!

Nice artsy type place, greeted well and seated promptly while I had a very limited timeframe for lunch. Usually I only desire fish and chips from a F&C shop but decided to give it a go as I didn t feel like having breakfast for lunch and I did not fancy the other overpriced (imo) offerings. The order took longer than anticipated and the bistro was not busy. I ve had F&C on hundreds of occasions on four different continents. Today in my experience, the chips were just warm and soft and greasy yet seasoned and tasty. The fish batter was of dark brown colour, greasy, very hard and super crunchy - totally overcooked. I regret to say the worst fish I have ever consumed. I would have advised the server of my displeasure but she never came back to ask How is everything? although walked past me twice - I m certain she must have heard my crunchie chews. With only minutes to spare before my afternoon appointment I just asked for the bill, paid and departed. One piece of fish with chips and a cup of tea before tip was $32.21. I don t mind paying a premium for anything if the quality is there. Today with my order it really wasn t. I will not be returning.

Despite not seeing a single Almond or Butterfly, its a great spot. Great food, great coffee. I would give it 6 stars, but 1) you arent able to do that and 2) my date decided she didnt one another date. You might think that doesnt have anything to do with the restaurant and youd be right. This is one of the prettiest little restaurants I ve ever been to! The atmosphere was so nice and the food was very good! I got the smoked salmon toast. Highly recommend. And this place is very instagramable ;)
