SUPER UNDERRATED! I loved my experience at AP. We had a cozy dinner with friends in the back table and got the tasting menu. Everything had so much flavor and great presentation. This is now in my top 10 restaurants in Toronto. Thank you for the great food and service
We had the 6 course Chef Tasting menu, it was lovely. Great plating, textures, and flavours. Most dishes had a nice moderate kick of spice. Nice Asian fusion! Amuse bouche - fantastic, crispy, great texture, leaving you wanting more. 1. Miso soup with somen Japanese noodles and clams - there is a nice kick of spice! Noodles and broth were flavourful. Garnishes seemed like it was more for appearance. 2. Hamachi crudo - I found the fish plain, but thankfully chef added basil and spicy Serrano pepper and criolla to make this dish more fun. 3. Mushroom dumpling - never had such a unique dish, didn’t taste like mushrooms, scrumptious, soft 4. Nigiri and maki - maki was better than the nigiri. 5. Striploin - Meant to be charcoal-seared, but this was only noticeable on 1 of the 2 pieces. Was not asked how I wanted it cooked. Plentiful arugula/greens. Dessert - tout chocolat was to die for. Nutty taste with salty caramel, mousse mixed with sorbet mixed with brownie, allowed for multiple textures that went well together. Cocktails - pretty mediocre. The yuzu walker (happy hour list) tasted like orange juice. Service - was spectacular and intentional. Loved being offered a nice drink for the elevator ride. Everyone was kind and hospitable, I truly felt like a valued guest. Their hospitality made the dinner an experience. Ambiance - views are spectacular. Dark and louder atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend coming here!
Amazing atmosphere and location. The food at AP looked and tasted great. However for the price point, it didn’t offer anything outstanding. The view and atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and worth the experience
AP Restaurant had been on my list for a long time, and finally, the day came! First impressions caught me by surprise, and I absolutely loved it. There were complimentary drinks downstairs before taking the elevator. They offered both non-alcoholic and alcoholic options. I chose the alcoholic one, and it was really yummy. The elevator design was catchy, and I couldn’t resist taking some pics there (I’m just a girl 🥹). The restaurant’s design is very elegant, and, of course, the view is stunning. The food was yummy, and I liked the presentation. We had crab rolls, eggplant (since I’m vegetarian), and kimchi rice, which we absolutely loved. I’m giving the service 4 stars because at times we had to walk over to get the servers’ attention for new cocktails or other things. As for the cocktails, they were very good—we tried four different ones and loved them all. I also think it’s so cool that they have complimentary parking. Even though I didn’t use it, it’s a great feature and made me feel welcomed. I highly recommend visiting AP Restaurant, and I’ll definitely be coming back. I can’t wait to return for happy hour and to enjoy the patio in the summertime!
We were so excited to dine at AP. The setting and view are beautiful. Food was 7/10. Please try the Surf n Turf maki and Omakase Nigiri, which was wonderful. The Prime Rib Steak was tasteless. However, the service is lacking. It took us over an 1 hour to get food and they didn’t care to their guests at all. So we quickly finished the meal and walked out of there.
Very nice place if you are visiting Toronto. The view of the city is gorgeous. We came from 8:00pm and we enjoyed the sunset and the night skyline. The Japanese food is very good and all dishes are a journey in Asia. To find the entry of the restaurant follows the Indigo books shop and take the escalator, nearby the Cinecomplex you will find the restaurant entry. One tips try to book one table South side in the patio.
We came here for our anniversary dinner. It was delightful! The view from the 51st floor I continues to be breathtaking (we’ve been before to 180 and Panorama) and the service was impeccable. Marvin was a great host. We had the tasting menu and added two more appetizers on the side. Food portions were a tad small but overall we left feeling full. We had a great time!
We dined at AP Restaurants in Yorkville after work last Friday. Upon arrival we were greeted with some delicious lemon Sake before taking the elevators up to the 51st floor. We originally booked patio seating, but because it was raining we were moved to a cute table with a view indoors - no issues whatsoever. The view up top is spectacular regardless of whether you are seated inside or outdoors. When the rain cleared up we were able to step out onto the patio to enjoy the view and snap a few pics. We opted for the 5-course tasting menu - it was scrumptious! Cocktails were on point and the service was phenomenal. Tip: the espresso martini is a must try for any espresso martini lovers out there! I wish I could remember the name of our server, he was just fabulous. He introduced and explained each course as he brought them out and he was very knowledgeable about all items on the menu, including the cocktails. A superb experience was had by all who dined at AP Restaurants.
Located on the 51st Floor of the Manulife Centre, this was my first time at the restaurant with the new name and cuisine and it did not disappoint. The only reason I gave the service a 4 was because it was fairly busy and they were probably short-handed (I m guessing). Overall, we had a great experience and Dietary restrictions: A couple people in our group had dietary restrictions and the servers were able to offer suggestions and/or different options. Parking: Parking is available underneath the Manulife Centre, which is very convenient.
Nice and classy restaurant, but way overpriced and the taste threw me off badly. We came here for Valentines prix fixe menu, and I was surprisingly disappointed by how off the seasoning is. Tuna tataki (the only good dish), oyster, and sashimi are mostly raw so nothing much to complain about (except for how small and ordinary theyre). But the beef steak is bitter and too fatty for me; gai lan is ridiculously sour; kimchi rice is another mundane dish; and the dessert is interesting but not delicious at all, a little bit smelly as well. The view is the most expensive and valuable thing here but still cannot justify the price. It might be overbooked that day but their service is still slow. For that price, I would never come back because I expect the chef to at least have a well-seasoned and balanced set of dishes to offer.
I was very impressed with APs Japanese Pan-Asian dishes! The Omikase was chefs kiss! If you want flavourful food, then this is the perfect restaurant for you! We were there for a birthday dinner celebration (a dining room was reserved for the event), and it was a great dining experience. The servers were attentive, and the food was delicious. We had a variety of dishes (family style) - Rock shrimp tempura, Park Slaw, Mushroom Mandu dumpling, Shrimp maki, Miso Cod, Kimchi fried rice, baby corn and eggplant. For dessert, we had this heavenly chocolate brownie with salted caramel, chocolate mousee, and chocolate sorbet! Overall, its 10/10 for me!
AP was the perfect venue to celebrate an anniversary with my partner. Amazing views of the city skyline, 10/10 service and delicious food all night. Our server Christian really helped to curate a meal + drinks and was great. We couldn t have asked for a better evening! Highly recommended experience overall.
Small portions, nothing special in terms of flavour. Nice ambiance and service
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and everything was absolutely amazing. The food was great, the atmosphere was nice and the service was one of the best I ve ever experienced. Our waitress along with the entire staff were incredibly attentive and checked in regularly. I highly recommend the Australian wagyu, the chefs selection sashimi and the Surf and Turf Maki. They also validated parking which was a nice touch. Highly recommend this place!
The food was good. Just good. I wouldn t say it s worth the price. However, the atmosphere and the staff were absolutely fantastic. The hospitality was excellent, and cocktails were also quite tasty :)
A great restaurant for sophisticated tastes - the tasting menu with wine pairings is absolutely top notch!
Top notch food and service (Marvin is a master of his domain). Bravo Chef Antonio Park Food
Great food, great ambience, great drinks and beautiful views
Food was delicious and looked like artwork! Views are spectacular. However, we did the 5 course experience , which wasn t an experience at all. We had to speak to the Manager (felt patronizing towards us) because our waiter never explained the experience . He didn t even know we had reserved one, didn t explain how it worked, different drink pairing options etc. we didn t learn anything about the food / drinks / reasoning for the pairing. Overall, our Waiter engaged minimally with us. If you re looking for an immersive experience, I would pass.
Would like a bigger cocktail menu but no complaints on this venue
The staff curated a great night. Thanks, Jeff (sic)
Restaurant is beautiful. Everything we had was delicious. Recommend King salmon, miso cod, and striploin. SERVICE WAS IMMPECCABLE!!! I want to say his name was Connor but my partner said it was something else. He was a light haired man with a British accent. Exceptionally versed in the menu and knew how to curate our selections. He had a story to tell with every selection. We will be back!!!!
I ll keep this simple. Request Anne as your server. Let her tell you what to eat and how to eat it. Pay your bill. Leave extremely happy and satisfied.
Beautiful restaurant. Views are incredible. It was on a Wed night, kind of empty and we were sat at a not great table, obstructed even though the place was kind of empty. The waiter was VERY attentive but we knew he was trying to drive up our bill by checking on our drinks every few minutes. The food was excellent but VERY small portions and insanely overpriced. Great place for drinks and a view.
The food was very disappointing for the price they are charging. The hamachi tasted fishy, disappointed in duck because you barely get any meat for $45. This is a place you go for Instagram stories and to impress others, NOT for people who genuinely enjoy good cuisine
AP is beyond a delight!!! I ve been privileged to go there three times now and each time I discover something new and delectable! The food is sublime - slaw, eggplant and chocolate cake will now be staples evermore! What made this last visit even more special was Connor s service! He was AMAZING!!! Beyond 5 starts - so friendly and knowledgeable and warm and he even gave us hints about watching the spectacular sunset view! He made this bday gal feel very special - I ll be back!!
Conor looked after our table and he was top notch. The espresso martinis were very well made and really tasty (the vodka version and the tequila version). We were very happy with the food and the wine. We had the oysters and the park slaw to start with and Id recommend the park slaw to everyone. For mains we had the striploin steak with the rice balls and they were really good together. We did order the rice balls with the dairy foam on the side and Conor caught that coming out not quite the way we wanted it and rectified the situation very quickly. I was very impressed with the overall experience and it re-established my faith in higher end dining. Dietary restrictions: They seemed to deal with my dairy restriction very easily and professionally and the food was super tasty.
GREAT AMAZING experience!! the bar manager Jun and Connor were amazing! The level of hospitality and knowledge these individuals have is amazing and they deserve a raise. Will definitely coming back, thank you for everything!!! :)
Amazing food, amazing service. Christian took good care of us for my fiancées birthday
Very slow service , took over two hours to receive our main course and the manager was rude about it all. The food is comparable to other fusion restaurants but at a higher price which I wouldn t say was worth it .
I wanna start off by saying phenomenal. Everything was on point. WEST was the best! he made sure we were well taken care of. Very attentive and hospitable. Will definitely come back again
I was greeted by Kaitlin and I was immediately acknowledged. Her attitude was 10/10 and this is all before I sat down! Drinks were spectacular and the food was great. Kaitlin made an effort to circle back with me to ask about my experiences and that is something you don t see in Many restaurants, even the high end ones , thank you to the entire staff and especially Kaitlin for making my experience 20/10
Loved my experience and service at AP provided by Kaitlin and June at the bar.
the meal, the drinks, the service and the ambience were on point... everything that perfect... the view is amazing! absolutely to recommend!!!
Food portion is a little small imo. But overall phenomenal experience. Misaki killed it with customer service. Her knowledge about the food and super star service brought the dining time into another level. Thank you for such dedication from food to services
Great spot, have come multiple times for the surf & turf roll. Love the complimentary Saki for the elevator ride up. I d say this is the best view in the city.
Best food and service in Toronto
Perfect experience! Marvin the excellent server, great service and impeccable food and breathtaking view!
I booked a reservation here for my wife s birthday, and it was an absolutely amazing evening. I requested that we get a table with a view of the CN tower + skyline , and it was catered to without hesitation! On my way there, I was running late and the hostess was able to accommodate us with no issues. Upon arrival, we were greeted on the lower level by a lovely lady , who offered us a complimentary glass of champagne. As soon as we got out the elevator on the 51st floor, wow! Ambience was perfect , the view of the skyline and CN tower were breathtaking during the sunset, and our waiter was amazing! We ordered the Shrimp Tempura Maki and Hokkaido Scallops to start! Shrimp Maki was good, nothing special, but it was good. The scallops on the other hand were unbelievable! My wife and I devoured that, if you re visiting AP , I would definitely recommend that as a starter! As for the mains, my wife got the Miso black cod, I got the dry aged Duck breast, and we got the kimchi fried rice to share! The Duck breast was great, it was very tender and flavourful, a solid 8/10! The Miso Cod and the Kimchi fried rice on the other hand, were out of the world. I ve never been a fan of Cod, but I would return just to order a plate of that for myself, absolute perfection. The Kimchi fried rice was the perfect blend of savoury and richness , and it complimented both of our mains perfectly. 10/10 for both those dishes! Our waiter, who was extremely impressive, then brought out our dessert, the Exotic Pavlova with a birthday chocolate piece added, which was a great personal touch! The service was impeccable, our waiter constantly made sure we were ok! Drink and starters came out really quickly , and the mains didn t take long either , and all came out together. We also went out to the patio to take some pictures, and the view is something else, truly a special experience! I will definitely be returning here, thank you AP Yorkville for having us!
Connor my birthday twin you really out did yourself. You kept amazing energy the whole time! You gave amazing suggestions and made us feel welcome even after closing. Connor deserves a raise or the biggest section in the restaurant. He really went above and beyond and I would come back just for him
Took my first time visiting Toronto friend to this restaurant at supper time, she really likes it there and we had a great time
Did the tasting menu. Added the wine pairings option. Everything was absolutely amazing. Some of the best flavours I have ever had - and I ve had a lot of flavours! Honestly an impressive and perfect experience. The experience was absolutely added to by a wonderful server (Rob) who was attentive and very well informed. Let us know about every dish and wine pairing +++. He was awesome. Everything rocked. Will go again. Oh! And the view!?!?! Unbeatable in Toronto.
My first visit to this amazing restaurant was nothing short of perfect. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and stylish. The food was exceptional, each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. However, the highlight of the evening was Rob, our server. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel incredibly welcome. His recommendations were spot-on, and his friendly demeanor added a special touch to our dining experience. I cant wait to return and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and outstanding service.
Rob was an amazing server. Food was great and the views were incredible!
Oh my what a breathtaking view this restaurant has to offer. We had a balcony seat overlooking the CN Tower and its surroundings. We had the $95 tasting menu, everything was good but the portions were small.
Parking: 2 hours free parking Food
AP has to be the freshest seafood to be had in Toronto and the quality is consistently incredible. The terrace is beautiful but ultimately its the food and the service (shoutout to Kenny) that keeps me coming back. Food
Great Restaurant with a beautiful view. Had a great experience at this place. The food was amazing and the setup was beautiful. Definitely on my list of to go places in Toronto.
Beautiful place, excelent food and service. I liked the environment, view and all the experience.
Food not worth money great views and great service
Rob our waiter was fantastic. Great attention to detail and awesome service. Rakesh was great at the bar and amazing customer service. 12/10 would recommend
Japanese cuisine revisited. Well be amazed by the plate and the view of Toronto at 51st on the terrace. The flavors, the mixtures are there. Its sublime in the kitchen, thank you. The atmosphere is nice, even if it can seem a bit jet set/trendy restaurant. We welcome you with a drink at the bottom of the elevator and we take you to your table up there. On the server side, its good too, a little quirky and all with a smile. On the price side, obviously it goes up. 80 euros per person being reasonable. Its definitely worth it.
Great food and view for a romantic time or with friends! I highly recommend
Service started off alright but our server, Wes completely missed the mark in not asking for any last calls for food. We left without dinner which was the sole reason we came. The server ignored our concerns and management had no courtesy to discuss our concerns with us. On top of that, there was shattered glass under our tables and when we bought it to our servers attention, we were completely ignored. No employee came to clean up the glass nor checked in if we wanted to change seats. Drink orders were incorrect- this experience was absolutely frustrating as it was my fiancée s and I s engagement dinner. I wouldn t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high dining experience. Service was absolutely horrible and disappointing. There s much better restaurant options in Toronto that actually care about their guests and customer satisfaction.
On August 17th 2024, I booked a reservation at the Antonio Park Restaurant for 9:30pm to celebrate my fiancée and I s engagement dinner. This was our first time at this resturant and certainly our last time. There were several issues that we came across last night and we re still left completely disappointed in spending our money and post proposal celebration at this restaurant when our service was way below okay. From the moment we sat down we had let our server, Wes know that we came here for the Wagyu Steak and would be ordering that for our main. We made a few jokes about how hungry we were and how much we looked forward to dinner tonight. Wes took away our food menu when we requested a drink menu. We thought that was odd as we requested to keep one menu on the table after we ordered a few appetizers. However, we didn t think much of it as space was limited on the table. Most of our drinks were a completely wrong order that arrived to the table. We decided to adjust our order to the new drinks to make the wait time easier for ourselves and the server. The table next to us broke their glass and their drink spilled under our table- we let Wes know in case there was any extra broken glass we could not see in the dim lightning. Wes again completely ignored our concern and throughout our seating, no employee came to assess or clean up the broken glass under our seat. We reminded Wes of our main meal order and he had told us that he would check in with the kitchen- we thought this was odd as well as we had mentioned to Wes several times from the very start that we were here for a full course meal (as should be assumed). He returned to our table and notified us that the kitchen denied our order and surely after we saw him speaking to a few other employees. We assumed he would make things right or at least apologize for not warning us of the last call for kitchen. I blame management for not trying to make things right with us, instead just bringing our bill. Would not recommend this place, there are many other restaurants where they actually care about the customers.
Went for dinner for the first time, view and atmosphere was good but poor management with no courtesy for the guests. Management definitely needs work and wouldn t recommend this place if your looking for a good experience, there are many other restaurants in Toronto where you can actually have a good time
Had a beautiful sunset dinner with a live DJ. Outdoor seating has an amazing view. Food was exceptional with excellent presentation.
Loved everything f this evening, from the service to the food. JV and Rakesh were exceptional.
Wonderful service, great happy hour and drinks!
We had a beautiful evening at Antonio Park! The food was exceptional quality, and the view is breathtaking. The service was extraordinary, so caring and warm, we felt welcomed immediately and Rob was incredible to us all night. He appeared at the perfect moments as if by magic, had so much information and added to all the magic of the night. Couldn t recommended highly enough!
We had a great time at Antonio Park, the waiters were really friendly and helpful. We were able to try the cocktails and desserts, which are really very good and well prepared Plus, the view from the roof is spectacular! Thank you for saving our evening after eating at STK which is a big tourist scam! We really recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening
ROB was amazing made our night so memorable and fun! Thank you were visiting from Kenya and felt like home! Amazing place and service Kid-friendliness: Amazing definitely we will be back
Fabulous food and fabulous server Rob
Our server Jeff and Rakesh was so nice and very welcoming! Nice food with the nice view :) definitely will visit soon!
We were extremely disappointed by the RACIST server at this place. He took away the drink menu even though we wanted to look at it longer, and he placed an order for two portions of a dish we only ordered one of. When we mentioned that one of our dishes, a maki roll, hadnt arrived while we were eating our main course, he said, Let me check, and only then did he put in the order. We had no more drinks left and didn t want to wait any longer, so we asked if he could cancel the order. He said it was already being made, which seemed unlikely. As a result, we had to wait an hour to receive our maki roll. When we checked the bill, we noticed we were charged for two portions of the main dish. When we asked about it, he said their policy doesn t allow for ordering just one portion of Wagyu. He never mentioned this when we placed the order. He also claimed that there was a LANGUAGE BARRIER and we didnt understand him properly. Are you saying that because we are not Canadian, we couldn t understand English?.... He was incredibly rude.
Absolutely the best dining experience I had in Toronto so far. I went yesterday to celebrate a friend s birthday, we sat on the patio and the view was just STUNNING. The menu caught me by surprise as there were options like kimchi fried rice and a great selection of Asian fusion. We ordered a miso black cod, striploin, hamachi, and the wagyu taco, and as someone who doesn t normally enjoy fish that much, I am still thinking about the cod today; it was absolutely delicious. The freshness and softness of the fish, paired with the zesty cilantro mayo sauce created a perfect balance. Although every dish was spectacular, I would highly recommend the miso cod and the wagyu taco! Lastly, the staff of this restaurant like many other comments has mentioned, are truly amazing and professional. The girl who served as not only introduced us to every dish, but also gave great recommendations and always made us feel super welcomed and special the entire night. Would definitely come back again!! (Also the espresso martini here is a MUST-HAVE
Beautiful restaurant with the best views of the city! Our server Stuart went above and beyond. From the amuse bouche to the dessert, the food was so delicious and intricate.
Really stunning view of the city! The sake when you arrive is a fabulous touch. Loved the King salmon dish. The spicy tuna maki, shrimp maki and scallop aburi were pretty underwhelming. I would be open to perhaps trying the tasting menu, but I wont be rushing back.
Amazing experience! Food was perfectly refined and service was extraordinary! Thanks to our server Rob for the amazing evening!
Had a wonderful experience. Rob was extremely attentive and helpful with menu decisions. Definitely recommend coming.
Vegetarian options: Delicious! Dietary restrictions: Very careful. Food : 5/5 |
Amazing food and great service by our server West. Can t wait to be back again. Favourites : Veggie maki roll , kimchi fried rice Loved the kimchi dumplings too. Melts in your mouth. Drinks: loved raichi sour Overall great veggie options
The view was wonderful, the food was excellent, and the service was friendly and helpful.
Amazing views of the city and exceptional service - shout out Kenya the best hostess! Food and drinks were delicious
We had a great evening. It started with a complementary drink from the hostess before taking the elevator to the 51st floor. The views are great as is the atmosphere. We did the Summerlicious menu which had items from the regular menu. The food and presentation were good with the miso cod being the standout. Even when the food is great it often comes down to the service. We had Rob who is a fabulous waiter and really made our night. We ll definitely return.
Food? Great! Staff? Fantastic! View? Gorgeous. And if youre lucky enough to have Kenny as your waiter, theres no doubt youll have an excellent time.
Amazing tasting menu! Amazing service with Rob who made the experience a one to remember! Highly recommending it!
Excellent service right from the start, our waiter Wes was great throughout. We had a nice indoor window seat and had the chefs tasting experience with some cocktails and sake. The Okami Oba Tempura was amazing, never had tuna that nice, the miso cod, the Wagyu and sashimi and nigiri too was wonderful, followed by the amazing desserts pavola and tout chocolat. The views are also great overlooking the city with the CN tower on one balcony and watching the sunset on the other. Didnt take any pictures of the food as just had to eat, but their Instragram is spot on with how the dishes looked and they all were fantastic.
They have an amazing happy hour deal, and they literally have the best patio & views of the city. The cocktails are the best I ve had in Toronto- exceptional! The service was also very good! Would definitely recommend & will return Food
This is our first time here and we celebrated our anniversary. Our server Sachi is amazing but our main food that we ordered took more than an hour to arrive, we no discount for the inconvinience or at least like something like dessert to compensate.
Antono Park in Toronto is a dining experience that masterfully blends innovative cuisine with a cozy yet upscale ambiance. My recent visit was nothing short of delightful, with each dish showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors and meticulous presentation. Starters: We began our meal with three exquisite starters: Park s Slaw, Hamachi, and Kimchi Gyoza. Park s Slaw: This dish was a refreshing start, offering a crisp, vibrant medley of vegetables perfectly balanced with a tangy dressing. It was a light and invigorating appetizer that awakened our palates. Hamachi: The Hamachi was a highlight with its fresh, buttery texture and delicate flavor. Accompanied by a zesty citrus sauce, it provided a perfect contrast that elevated the natural taste of the fish. Kimchi Gyoza: These gyozas were a delightful twist on a classic favorite. The crispy exterior and the spicy, tangy kimchi filling created a symphony of textures and flavors. Each bite was a wonderful explosion of umami. Mains: For the main course, we indulged in the Surf & Turf Maki and the Miso Black Cod. Surf & Turf Maki: This maki roll was an inventive fusion of land and sea. The combination of tender beef and fresh seafood was both surprising and satisfying. The roll was expertly crafted, and each bite delivered a burst of flavor with a satisfying crunch. Miso Black Cod: The Miso Black Cod was the star of the evening and my personal favorite. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The rich, savory miso glaze added depth and complexity to the dish, making it utterly irresistible. It s a testament to the chef s skill and understanding of flavor profiles. Conclusion: Antono Park offers a dining experience that is both sophisticated and approachable. The creative menu and high-quality ingredients speak volumes about the restaurants commitment to excellence. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both special occasions and casual dining. Whether you re a fan of innovative sushi or crave expertly prepared seafood, Antono Park promises a memorable culinary journey. I highly recommend it, especially for the Miso Black Cod, which left a lasting impression.
The food surprised me, with the instagram posts and the unbeatable views and atmosphere, I honestly thought the food quality would take a hit - but they proved us wrong. Fresh food (everything except our Uni which tasted maybe a touch off in our Egg on Egg dish), extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff and incredible wine program - some of the best BTG options in the city. I was very happy to have celebrated my partners birthday here, they went the extra mile to make the dessert course special for her and Im thankful to have dined here - Ill be coming back with friends soon!
The view and service were excellent, pretty much the best view of the city except the 360 Restaurant at the CN Tower. However, food & drinks were lacklustre like at 360. The server also told me they get charged 12% on the bill, so either she was playing me or the restaurant literally charges servers to work there. This just perpetuates tipping culture and I will not be returning.
We had a great time at AP, the food is amazing and our server Kenny really made our experience even better! Incredibly enthusiastic, attentive, friendly and professional! Can t wait to come back!
Ask for this waiter Rakesh. He is amazing let him choose the menu for you he made the experience here phenomenal. He knows the menu and the wine inside out definitely coming back and asking for him. If I could give more than 5 stars I would and if I could rate his service in itself it would beyond that.
Tip: go to the movie theatre level to find the elevator to the restaurant. A beautiful restaurant lifted high above the city with just as beautiful and elevated dishes. The service is perfect and the staff are so welcoming and attentive. The food is good but I had a touch higher expectations for the price. We went with a tasting menu and had a lovely meal.
Had such an amazing time! Our server, Anne, was lovely, knowledge and attentive. The wagyu tataki was incredible, the nigiri was super fresh and the miso cod did not disappoint. Great ambiance and vibe. Highly recommend!
We had a great time , thanks to Wes. The food was superb, but Wess recommendations and sense of humor made the evening truly special. His attentive service and friendliness enhanced our dining experience. If you get the chance to have Wes assist you, youre in for a great night!
Excellent food with the best view of Toronto from the 51st floor.
Normally I am quite skeptical of upscale restaurants, especially in Yorkville - however, A P definitely hit the mark. Service was outstanding, food and drinks are impeccable, and the view is stunning. Definitely worth a try for a special occasion.
Amazing food and service and view of the city...highly recommended
Unbelievable great tasting food. Amazing view. Super friendly staff. You have to go at least once in your life!
Amazing restaurant, with delicious cocktail, attentive and friendly service, great food, and breathtaking view of Toronto
Amazing views, underwhelming cocktails and service a bit corporate. Definitely a great place to go for the view. I had the Raichi Sour which was not sweet and did not taste much of any alcohol /sake. So much like a mocktail. Edamame was good but quite spicy/too salty. The Soft shell crab was very good. Wagyu Tacos were a little bit too much salty to our liking also. Service was at least to us quite corporate and at times felt a bit snobby especially we did not order any main. I would still recommend it for the drinks but not necessarily for the food.
I must say that the staff here are true professionals and are attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive. A special shout out to Chris, Stuart and Rob for making my evening even more enjoyable. I took a seat at the bar as it was too windy outside but the view was truly spectacular. Justin at the bar deserves recognition for his masterful mixology skills. The Sips in the Sky menu was a hit for me as it is great value for your money. Each cocktail is a masterpiece, perfectly balanced to complement the phenomenal dishes that are works of art. The Miso Black Cod was delicious and the tuna and salmon sushi are slices of heaven that melt in your mouth. AP is a must visit for anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience. The flawless service, high quality food and expertly crafted cocktails created an unforgettable evening for me. Thank you to all the staff, see you again soon.
We decided to explore their Happy Hour and tried all four cocktails, along with katsu, salmon rolls, and veggie tempura. Unfortunately, they were out of beef tartare, which was a disappointment. While our expectations for Happy Hour were moderate, we did not really like any of the coctails, though I cant speak for their regular cocktail menu. The food was ok, salmon roll was really good though. Service was excellent, and the view added to the ambiance. Despite the mixed experience with drinks and food, we left satisfied and might return, perhaps opting for wine next time. They advertise free parking, but there was a hiccup with validation they couldnt scan my ticket and instructed me to show the bill while exiting. The parking attendants demeanor was disappointing; they were unnecessarily rude and even yelled at me and it was pretty upsetting.
The service was great at this restaurant. The food was good but certain flavours were a bit off. They had a good selection of vegetarian options. The drinks were great. The view is beautiful as you see the Toronto Skyline. The Vibe here was amazing would go back for sure.
Our server Conner went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience! The rest of the staff were lovely as well. The food was delicious, and the views were breathtaking. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Antonio Park restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience I will never forget. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with spectacular views of the panoramic cityscape of Toronto. The intimate atmosphere combined with the incredible chef tasting menu made for a truly special evening, especially as we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday. What truly stood out during our visit was the impeccable service and attention to detail from the management and staff. We decided to invite some of our friends to join us in celebrating, and the restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate our group and make our experience even more memorable. The service was top-notch, and the drinks were perfectly crafted. I cant recommend Antonio Park enough. The evening was flawless, and its clear that the staff and management truly care about providing an exceptional dining experience. The effort that the manager put into ensuring our enjoyment was greatly appreciated and made the evening even more special. If youre looking for a restaurant that offers both incredible food, and outstanding service, this is the place to go. -Chef Jagger Gordon-
The food was amazing, very creative and the flavours were so unique. Our server Wes made it a great experience.
I went for my 21st birthday and I have to say, I was amazed! The atmosphere was beautiful; it was dim yet well lit, and the music was upbeat yet not distracting. Our sever, West, was an amazing sever who always made sure our table was clean and our needs taken care of. For my meal, I had the chefs 6 course tasting menu. The food itself come in smaller portions but was packed with flavour. The dishes themselves used many unquie ingredients, all of which enhanced the experience. Overall, I would recommend this establishment to any who have the time and money, it was definitely worth it! Also, would like to give another thank you to West, thank you for your great service and the laughs
When the best part of the restaurant is the view - something isn t right. The food is a bit overrated however, brilliant service none the less
I had the worst wagu I had in my life. I ordered medium cooked.. and my wagu was chewy. Portions small. The best part of my 6 course meal was the chocolate desert. The sushi was 6/10.
The ambiance and the food were great the only thing that I did not understand was attenuate from the host she thought she was the main character but our server Connor made my night he was very sweet and attentive
Adorable experience, always
We had a girls night with the happy hour specials and had a chance to try the Ichigo Saketini, Raichi Sour, and Uri Spritz out of their $12 cocktail menu, and Miso Black Cod Cakes, Beef Tartare, Crispy Chicken Sando, and Rock Shrimp and Veg Tempura out of their $12 snacks list. Shoutout to Misaki for her great service! We found the cocktails to be great and not too sweet. There were mixed opinions about the food. Tempura was definitely very greasy, Cod Cakes are actually one (1) small bite with very little seafood taste, the Sando was generally a fav, and the Tartare was a big no for me. I cannot eat scallions and asked for them without but it came inside the pancake, so I was a little sick after. The tartare also got warm on top of the pancake and both became mushy throughout the meal. Beautifully presented though.
Our waiter at the bar was exceptional and service all around was amazing, thank you for the lovely experience you gave my boyfriend and I. I loved the Exotic Pavlova for dessert and the Scallop Ceviche tasted so refreshing.
Great food and service!
Great service, nice view and the happy hour menu was also good!
We celebrated a birthday and the vibes were 10/10! Marvin was an incredible server and the chef accommodated our group and kept the kitchen open a little later. Such a beautiful view of the city , with an intimate atmosphere !
We had a table booked here for two weeks and were looking forward to a great evening, in a fantastic mood, with an incredible sunset after a tough week. Everything was going well until they didnt bring me my dish. At the time of ordering, I repeated three times and emphasized that the dish should not be spicy at all, as I have an allergy to spicy food, and the waiter assured me that the dish would not be spicy. But... the dish turned out to be very spicy. The waiter reacted absolutely unprofessionally, simply offering to replace the dish with plain rice. I called the manager, and the manager started assuring me that they prepared the dish with a lower level of spiciness and that if it had the original recipe, it would have been even spicier! Can you imagine a situation where you have an allergy, for example, to nuts, and they bring you a dish with 10 nuts instead of 100, and say, well, this is a different level? I am very disappointed with this experience because I thought this place would become one of my favorite spots in Canada
Food is not something extra ordinary and compare to price it is not either delicious nor enough serving size. They have a happy hour between 5 to 7 but we had to ask for it, they didn t bring for us before we asked. Service was not good, our server keep disappearing and it took them for ever to bring us our drink while we could see it was seating at the bar! We really liked the view and vibe of the place !
Not worth it. Would not attend to customers.
Recently dined at AP with my wife and we were very much impressed. From the greeting to the dessert, the experience exceeded our expectations. Our server was very attentive, polite and well spoken. The food was amazing to say the least. APs egg on egg on egg and park slaw were among the things we were looking to try and they didnt disappoint one bit. I had the pleasure of meeting the Chef de Cuisine who was a very gracious host whom we wanted to thank for an amazing experience. Highly recommend AP and his exquisite menu.
AP has atmosphere. Its modern decor, and cocktail bar vibe are complemented by an incredible view of Toronto s skyline from the 52nd floor of the Manulife building in Yorkville. My partner and I got a 2 person table which was cozy and of course, had a fantastic view. Drinks were quick to come and tasty :) We were not in a hurry so we indulged. It s a good thing we weren t on a timeline as the food order lagged. It wasn t a particularly busy night; the restaurant was at about half occupancy or less. The portions were on the smaller side while prices on were the higher side. This is expected to a certain degree for the location/view alone. The sashimi and sushi were great, though cut a little slim. I enjoyed the miso cod as well. We left feeling like a second visit was in order so that we could try a few other items on the menu, hence the four star rating. Ps. the bar has a serious sake assortment for those so inclined.
Incredible sips in the sky happy hour menu. Unbeatable price for such an atmosphere and view. The food was top notch, highly recommend the park maki and melt in your mouth beef tartare. This is definitely the most exquisite date night for an incredible price during happy hour 5-7 pm weekdays and they validate your parking! Fine dining style attentive service as well
Upscale Asian fusion spot with a nice view of the city. Memorable favorites were the miso black cod, the prime rib steak and the Hokkaido scallop ceviche. As for drinks, the Yuki Colada and the Bouquet high ball were quite nice.
FOOD: 7/10 DRINKS: 8/10 VIBE: 10/10 SERVICE: 10/10 High-end environment, stunning views of the downtown Toronto (including (N tower), beautiful dish presentations, and exceptional service. The servers were welcoming, and provided genuine, good suggestions (not to upsell you). Though the food presentation was stunning, the taste was somewhat mediocre, which you wouldnt expect from such a high-end place. Overall, I would come here for the romantic ambiance and beautiful views of the city rather than food.
Fantastic views! Food was good but not as spectacular as the views. The service and ambience was great.
My boyfriend booked a table for the Mont Bar collaboration. The reservation was at 8.45pm at the bar. We arrived early to make sure we wouldnt be late. We were waiting in the hall for 45 minutes for our table. The hosts explanation was that they were full and there were a lot of people upstairs. After a long time waiting I had to offer the possibility of being moved to a table instead of the bar so that we could go upstairs and have dinner. They agreed and when we went upstairs the apology was a few bubbles Horrible customer service for a restaurant of this level. The food and service during dinner was 10. All the dishes on the tasting menu were incredible. Our server was super attentive at all times and very kind. I dont think I will go again as an overall rating.
My favorite spot in Toronto with the best view of the city. Food is good too and the atmosphere is up scale but friendly. If you sit outside youll have a breathtaking view of downtown, along with the tower and even the lake. I truly recommend this fine place; great place to go with friends or partner. While youre having a great time and enjoying the view, you might as well want to take some of the best pictures you could take of Torontos skyline from a 52nd floor. Better to make a reservation.
I wouldn t peg this place as great value for what you pay, but the sushi was relatively good for Toronto and the service was excellent. The black miso marinated cod is worth an order as well.
We reserved the Chefs tasting. Truly wonderful experience.
Great and attentive service
The food was very good. The margarita was gross. The waitress was rude, unhelpful, and rushed our entire experience. We were celebrating our anniversary which I mentioned in the reservation but they said nothing about it. The waitress rushed us through the entire meal, she clearly was more interested in turning the table over than serving us well. She also did very little to help with suggesting what to eat and suggested we order more than we really needed. Within one minute of declining desert she brought the bill over without me requesting it. We spent less than an hour and a half there so its not like we overstayed our welcome. For the price I would definitely look elsewhere.
My experience at AP was fantastic! As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted kindly by the hostesses and took our jackets to be hung. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable as well, which was wonderful. The restaurant has a cool ambience to it, dimly lit but not too dark. The happy hour menu was great; reasonably priced and offers quite a variety in comparison to other happy hour menus at other restaurants. The portion sizes were sensible. I had two of them (shrimp temptura and beef tartare) and felt full afterwards. Of course, the main attraction at AP is the view of the city. My friend and I arrived at 6:30 pm and was able to catch the sunset in the city. At night, its equally gorgeous with all the lights. Highly recommend.
Loved the presentation of the food. Service was good atmosphere was good food was good. Recommended
The food was just ok. For 1/3 of the price you could have better maki at 100 places in this city. Beautiful presentation, but nothing groundbreaking. Dont expect new flavors.
I visited AP for drinks on a special occasion with my boyfriend and we couldn t be happier about the gorgeous ambiance created by what probably the best view of the city, plus a very warm and gentle service. Shot out to Connor, who did an amazing job as waiter. We tried a couple of very nice drinks and just one plate of sushi. I can t really weigh on how the food is like but that sushi was nice. I think the prices are reasonable considering the unique spot, but looking forward to actually trying the food. I think it s cool to support restaurants like AP considering they offer and maintain this amenity to the city that we could enjoy. Overall a very romantic experience that I d recommend!
Truly one of the best restaurants in the city. I m so surprised this restaurant does not get more hype. The food was absolutely flavourful & delicious. The service was even better. Very attentive servers. We will surely we back!
Beautiful view and great food
I didnt think I liked sushi. I do now The ambience of this place is more than worth the price. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Food
AP offers a decent dining experience with an elevated ambiance reminiscent of its predecessor, Panorama. The classy interiors and lighting set the stage for a high-end restaurant experience. While the service is attentive, theres room for improvement in pacing between courses. The menu, blending Japanese and Korean cuisine, falls short of expectations. The Park Slaw, a tasty dish, mirrors Sursur Lees signature salad too closely. The miso black cod, while perfectly cooked, lacks the complexity expected in fine dining. Tteukbokki disappoints with a high price tag for a poorly elevated Korean classic, marred by a vinegary aftertaste and overpowering mushrooms. The chicken teriyaki, though generous in portions, falls short of the high-end standard. Too simple! AP is suitable for special occasions or business meetings where the surroundings and views impress, but it may not satisfy the discerning foodie seeking the ultimate dining experience. The restaurants strengths lie in its ambiance and views rather than culinary innovation. Overall, a solid 3/5 stars for those seeking an upscale setting.
Winterlicious 2024 review: WOWOWOWOW, the fine dining and ambience is fantastic here. The view from the 51st floor at night is spectacular. Servers are very attentive and almost everything is orchestrated with a head nod and communication which I loved. They always made sure that you were noticed. For the winterlicious menu I recommend the shrimp maki, tteokbokki, and mount blanc. Bento box is also quite nice but I would consider that more of an appetizer than a main. Also note that the portions are quite small so you will likely be hungry after. For the cocktails, the yuzu crush was okay but would recommend another choice. In terms of overall atmosphere, its a perfect spot to impress a date. Also parking is validated so hold onto the ticket. Dietary restrictions: Had gluten free and vegetarian options listed on menu Parking: Park in the manulife center building. Hold onto the ticket for validating. Take the elevator to the second floor turn right and there will be another elevator that takes you directly to the restraunt. Show your ticket to them after you finish eating and they will validate for you. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, elevators and handicap automatic doors with ramps.
I don t leave many bad reviews, but as a big Google Reviews reader I felt obliged to share how disappointing dinner at AP was yesterday. I ll start with the good: the place is stunning. Beautiful view, elegant decor, but still manages to feel intimate and cozy. The night was off to a good start! On to the not-so-good: I arrived promptly at 7pm for our reservation, with the other 5 members of my party showing up by 7:10pm. We were given a walk through of the Winterlicious menu before our waitress gave us a minute to look at the drink menu. Unfortunately the minute was closer to 15 minutes. We were already set to order food as well by the time she came back, so we did both. Time went on and on in fact, it was 7:55pm by the time we got our drinks. Unfortunately the food was not only as slow to come out as the drinks it also wasn t great. As a table of 6 we tried almost every dish, and the only ones that got enthusiastic thumbs up were the slaw, the tataki & the cod. The chicken was mouth-puckeringly salty, the sushi was a super small portion, the mousse was melted, and nothing was creative or stand-out. They also forgot one of our dishes, took half our table s drink orders before dashing off, and never apologized when we made it clear we d love for food to come out a bit faster (I should also note that it wasn t busy at all, so that wasn t an excuse.) The food was so slow that we left after 10pm, and unfortunately they only validate 2 hours of parking. We were also forced into a 20% large group gratuity despite how poor the service was. I m someone who nearly always finds the good in a restaurant, but this felt like such a poor experience for a $150 meal - I wanted to save others from making the same mistake.
Decent drinks, terrible service.
I have a self-imposed rule - I do not give a five star review to a restaurant that I have only been to once. AP is an exception to my rule. It is just right in terms of food, service, and ambience. This is the Goldilocks effect and why I will be going back. Parking: Complimentary parking underneath the Manulife Centre, validated for two hours by AP.
I came here for my anniversary and the night was definitely one to remember. The food, service, ambiance, and view of the city was amazing. The vibes were great and they made us feel very comfortable. The restaurant also looks amazing. Couldn t recommend it any more, especially if you come for a special occasion. Our waitress was awesome. 5/5
I had a fantastic experience at this place! The food, particularly the Tteokbokki and soft shell crab maki, was absolutely delicious. The drinks were delightful, and the staff was exceptionally friendly from the moment we walked in. Our waiter provided excellent food recommendations, enhancing our overall enjoyment. The beautiful view, combined with great music throughout the night, added to the positive atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful dining experience!
The view from the 51 floor is incredible at night. Great photo opportunity. The wait staff is all very knowledgeable about their menu. The portions are a little on the smaller size but the quality is top notch. The Miso Black Cod was perfectly cooked and the AP Style Sashimi was super fresh and full of flavour.
I visited AP on Feb 2, 2024 to enjoy their Sips in the Sky happy hour. Though when making a reservation on Opentable, it mentioned that happy hour will be offered during the time of my visit, when we arrived, we were told that it is not available since Winterlicious is also happening. This was, however, not mentioned anywhere on the website or their social media. The general manager came over to our table to apologize and explain that there is a gap between the headquarter that manages their social media and website and her team requesting them to make an edit. She was able to offer a couple of drinks from the menu while no food item was available. We tried Ichigo Saketini and Raichi Sour. Ichigo Saketini tasted like cough syrup with its thickness and artificial strawberry flavour, but Raichi Sour was much better and enjoyable - light with a great balance between the egg white and lychee. Later, we ordered Chicken Gyoza, which was mediocre at best. On a pool of soy sauce, which was too much, there were lukewarm chicken dumplings with no special texture or flavour. They could ve bought them from a frozen aisle in some Chinatown grocery store, and I would ve believed it. Considering its price point too, I would ve at least expected them to be hot and fresh. Looking back, I realize that it was one of the Winterlicious appetizers, and it had to be premade waiting on the warming table. We were originally going to do Winterlicious or a la carte here but with mixed reviews, we made a last minute change, and based on my experience with a simple gyoza, I m glad we did. On the topic of Winterlicious, this establishment is the biggest scam for Winterlicious. If you add up values of each item from their a la carte menu, customers are paying premium for Winterlicious, which defeats the purpose and is simply not justifiable. Their appetizers are half the portion from their a la carte items, so take that into consideration if you re doing the math yourself. For future Summerlicious and Winterlicious, please do not visit. If you are, you are better off ordering from their a la carte menu. On the bright side, our server was amazing. I didn t get his name, but he was very professional, friendly, personable, and organized. The only reason why service is 4 is because of the happy hour miscommunication. The server himself was definitely a 5. Of course, atmosphere was great, which I believe is the only reason why everyone is going there with mixed reviews. Request a south facing table if possible for the CN tower view.
The service, the view, the flavours are all fantastic! The food is great but took away one star for value for money. Unless the chef has added something unique and special to a gyoza, its just a gyoza with better quality meat. And in that case, it shouldnt be $8 per gyoza. Food
A girlfriend and I dined here and we had a fantastic time! Just wanted to shout out our waiter Connor who was probably one of the best waiters I ve ever encountered. He was incredibly kind and personable. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food and portions were, considering we thought it was a vibes > food type of restaurant. The interior is beautiful and you can t beat those views of the skyline.
Had Valentine s Tasting Menu + wine pairing. We received the wrong appetisers, thinking that would be the end of it, but then we also received the wrong mains. Additionally, staff kept dropping plates, cutlery, bowls etc. The waitstaff were complaining about customers right next to us. In this kind of establishment? Given the price tag, the service was subpar and was not as professional as expected. For appetisers, the bluefin tuna tataki was a good start, tasted very soft and the overall blend of ingredients were just right. The Hokkaido scallop ceviche was also good, however the fishy scent was a bit stronger. Overall, the appetisers were really good. For sushi, we had the omakase sashimi and nigiri. The soy sauce was quite excessive and seemed to be unnecessary given the ponzu sauce in the sashimi. The amount of wasabi underneath the nigiri was overwhelming considering the amount of rice and fish, which covered the taste of the fish. The sashimi was beautiful, each one melted in your mouth especially the tuna. It was one of the best dishes of the night. Thus far, the wine pairing was good, with sparkling wine and sake accompanying our apps and sushi. However, we then received our Chardonnay and red wine, before proceeding to wait half an hour for our mains to come. The white wine went warm before the mains came. The asparagus in the rapini gomaae was old, tough and stringy, not a quality that was expected. The oyster mushroom was fantastic, frankly the best dish in the set. Miso black cod was cooked wonderfully, melting in your mouth, but unfortunately it was way too salty, overpowering the taste. The steak had some delicious crisped potatoes, but the steak itself was quite tough. Not too bad, but not exactly the highlight either. The sauce was also a good touch. For dessert, we had matcha cheesecake. The sorbet was fresh, the matcha cream was a fantastic complement, and the matcha cheesecake itself tasted amazing. However, the decision to lather it in red frosting/icing and the red syrup was personally questionable as it made the dish look artificial. Arguably it did not contribute much to the taste flavour-wise, but it made the experience awkward. Overall, the tasting started off well, setting the expectations high and ensured that the quality we were expecting was met. However, after the sushi, the whole experience deteriorated. Luckily I was with good company otherwise the experience was sour. Disappointed in saying that it was not quite worth the price tag given other options in the city, but perhaps the usual food items in the menu would be better. Stick with the appetisers and sashimi.
Took my wife for her birthday dinner. Loved the ambiance and food. Shes a vegetarian and really enjoyed the kimchi fried rice , edamame and veggie gyoza. The staff was friendly and made a surprise birthday plaque for her. Will come back soon.
Always loved this establishment - visited when it was still called Panorama and One-Eighty. Went this time for winterlicious at $75pp. Service was great, but slow. Took a while to order drinks and got our appetizers maybe 45 min - 1 hour of being there if I remember correctly (it wasn t a busy night). After that service picked up. The portions are very small so for $75+ some might not find it worth it. All the drinks and food tasted great however and there was some presentation. Would recommend the Yuzu Crush for the girlies! I was expecting a bit more for an AP resto, but unfortunately nothing else stuck out except that place on the 51st floor is nostalgic with the rooftop views. Parking: Parking validated only for 2 hours.
Overall a beautiful restaurant but I wouldn t recommend getting the set menu (Valentine s day option). Not worth the pricing and was overall a disappointing dinning experience. I will say the service was phenomenal and the view was incredible.
Ive been to his restaurant in montreal in the past and really liked it and had high expectations. The restaurant itself was beautiful and so were the views of toronto at night. The service started off a little slow as they were pretty busy. It was more scene focused than food focused. The food was good but not exceptional, and the portions were small. I was disappointed that the main entree of the tasting menu, featured only two pieces of sushi (one of them salmon LOL) with three tiny sashimi slices. This dish should have highlighted more sushi with better fish choices and more filling (maybe 5 pieces and more sashimi). Despite ordering the tasting menu we were still hungry afterwards and filled up on three additional rolls and sushi side orders. On a positive note, the dessert was excellent! The fish and ingredients were overall good quality, including the uni. The a la carte items were on the generic side(miso cod, gyoza, tuna tataki, rolls etc). Seems like it is attempting to appeal to a mass crowd, but with better ingredients. However the price point is extremely high, but as it is right downtown in Yorkville at the top of the manulife centre this is understandable. If youre looking for a place with beautiful views, kind of a cocktail bar vibe, good for a group for going out this might be a reasonable choice. If you are looking for specifically sushi I would choose another place. MSSM down the street is a better choice for similar vibe, more laid back and more sushi focused.
The wagyu steak and desserts were pretty nice but nothing else really stood out on their tasting menu. The servers kept on getting mixed up on who got what. I know its supposed to be dim and intimate, but theres a limit and most people were using their phone lights to read the menu. The view was great but Im not sure about the value.
Great experience and excellent hospitality. Thank you, Chef Kai. Every dish we received was excellent. You and the team do an amazing job.
Service was top notch, some of the best I ve received. Ambience was also great, especially if you get to sit next to the impeccable view. Food was absolutely delicious, but definitely on the expensive end. After several plates of shareable, recommend getting the kimchi fried rice, otherwise you may have to get a big Mac after you leave.
Parking: Underground parking at Manulife center that can be validated at AP Food
Sashimi is tops!! Black Cod rocks & Kimchi rice amazing !! The view you can t beat Toronto.
I cant say how happy I was to celebrate my anniversary besides the skyline of Toronto.. Connor was a great attendant, and the food was just outstanding.. do try the Gyoza and fried rice.. loved it.. Parking: Basement complimentary parking.. show the ticket in the restaurant..
8 months ago: High quality, delicious food. Friendly and helpful service by Marvin and the whole (huge) team. Gorgeous, plush atmosphere, with the citys best south-facing, unobstructed view of the CN tower and Lake Ontario. Its expensive but consistent. I cant wait to have an excuse to return soon! I have eaten at Lavanderia and Jatoba in the past as I am a frequent Montreal visitor. AP is surprisingly excellent. I really went in looking for problems because of some negative reviews but honestly 10/10. I had four ounces of a umami rich savoury sake which was plenty of alcohol. Subtotal per person is around $150++. I had 2 oz of the A5 Wagyu beef which is 9/12 rated, I believe. Its snow aged but still has a lot of texture. Chu toro and hamachi sashimi were delicious. They seem to fly in all of their fish from Japan other than the ora salmon which comes from New Zealand. I would definitely go back to get more sashimi and possibly to try the Hokkaido uni which was market priced at $55 for 2 pieces. If I had to look for a complaint, I would say: the bathroom is very small and not Instagram-worthy like the dining room and patio, and the cheap hand soap and the fake flowers are not up to the high standards. Avoid the north-facing balcony if you are looking for a stunning view. Ask for a table facing south! Dietary restrictions: Safe for shrimp allergy.
Excellent service from Ian. Delicious Wagyu tacos. Atmosphere++
Great view, but food is mediocre at best and service is inconsistent. If you can afford pricing at this level, every option is available to you. As such, unless your top 20 other restaurants are busy; I would not suggest you dine here. You can do better
Restaurant smaller than I thought it was from photos. Decor is upscale, definitely a place to bring someone to impress clients/dates. Food was fantastic, albeit portions were on the smaller side. They need a few larger filler dishes for the guys. I would come again but more for small bites and to take in the Toronto skyline. Parking is validated.
Food, service and atmosphere was great. My one complaint is the portion size of the food, it was too small.
Favorite patio and view of the city! Drinks were nice but nothing special, food was pretty good. I loved the Park Slaw and the Veggie roll!
This restaurant is located on the 51st floor, accessible by a private elevator from the 2nd floor. There is indoor seating, with 2 patios. We had nice dinner on the south patio, with great City views. We reserved the Chef s tasting menu with wine/sake pairing, and enjoyed bluefin tuna tataki, kimchi gyoza, wyagu beef tataki, hamachi crudo, Omakase sashimi & nigiri, exotic pavlova. Portions were small - we added a kimchi fried rice. Food and service was good, we had a nice evening.
Beautiful atmosphere, amazing views, great customer service. The food was delicious! Highly recommend in the summer time!
A+++++++ service!! From our server and the manager and the ceviche was my favourite! Highly recommend.
Even though our table was only four people, we were charged forced gratuity as if we were a table of six or more. Booo!!!!
The food and the night view are perfectly fine. Its a bit awkward to see my knife has a stain on it, especially when youre spending 200 dollars per person. However, the staff changed it immediately after I asked for another one, which is great. And if the server could explain the pairing with the meal, that would be wonderful.
This restaurants stellar views are breathtaking. Looking at everything from the 51st floor is very special. However, there is nothing so special about the food. The ambiance is romantic and can be a perfect date night spot.
First time visiting AP and was absolutely blown away. Our server Ian was excellent! He was so attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant! He relocated us to a less trafficked area of the restaurant, and took excellent care of us dying our time at AP. The views were amazing and the food was beyond words. Highly recommend!
The view at top of the Manulife center was spectacular, and the restaurant setup was elegant and beautiful. The service was overall very good, and the dishes are generally quite tasty, with the exception of our Waygu beer steak. I believe the medium rare preference was almost turned into close to well done.
The food was great, the cocktails were great, and so was the service. The location also gives you a great view of the city. We tried the Hibiscus granite for the dessert, it was underwhelming, icy and a little uncomfortable to consume, perhaps it was on us because we got inspired to take an adventurous option from the earlier hits on the menu.
Mediocre at best. We have been to another restaurant by AP few yrs ago and remember feeling disappointed. Was hoping this one would be better so gave it a try and was even more disappointed. The only thing that was decent was the slaw. Everything else was...well I recommend you go somewhere else for better sushi and korean food. Definitely not worth the price here.
Amazing place with an awesome view. Totally enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will be back again.
After visiting the transformed 180, now known as AP, I had reservations about whether the food would match my fond memories of the old establishment. To my delight, my expectations were not only met but exceeded. Our selection included the chicken gyoza, soft shell crab maki, and veggie maki. The chicken gyoza was flawlessly cooked, and the crispy chicken skin added a delightful twist. Both the crab maki and veggie maki were exceptionally delicious and light, with the flavors blending seamlessly. For dessert, we tried the exotic Pavlova, and while the combination of ingredients, including cilantro, initially seemed unconventional, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it tasted. The execution of the dishes here is truly exceptional. Moreover, the service was top-notch; our server was courteous, provided excellent recommendations, and gave us ample time to decide. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience.
One of the BEST restaurants in Toronto. There is no surprise. The founder is the celebrity chef Antonio Park. What should we expect but excellency
The only thing this place was worth going for is the view of DT and CN tower. For the price of the food and drinks, the quality was not worth it. We paid $400 for our dinner. You can get better food and service elsewhere. What was so disappointing was waiting almost 40 mins to have our food order taken. The place was not busy at all. Maybe 5 tables at most in the entire restaurant and we had to flagged our waiter to get our orders taken. He did apologized and blamed short staff but if the restaurant is charging high end prices then we expect better service to match what we paid for. If you cannot provide proper service to your customers then don t charge $20-40 for 8 piece maki rolls that taste like they re from the grocery store. The whole experience was awful and the kicker was getting a fully cooked $88 prime rib steak when I wanted medium well. It was over cooked, salty and tasteless. I will not recommend this place to anyone nor coming back.
Attended a special event here with a multi-course menu and Sake pairings. Everything was fabulous and the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely recommended!
Went there for my birthday! Had an absolute blast! The menu is affordable and the view is spectacular really loved the place will definitely go back again. Food
The restaurant itself has a very nice ambiance. We took my friend there for her birthday. The service at first was okay, found that the food portions were very small. I understand it is fine dining but nonetheless the portions were small morsels, in terms of taste wasn t anything to write home about. We just ordered tapas and drinks (shrimp tempura, edamame and tacos). It was the service towards the end that we didn t appreciate. It was four of us however we asked to split the bill in half making it only two transactions. After requesting that, the server scrunched his face at us, was very visibly unhappy he had to split the bill two ways and muttered inaudible words while walking away. All four of us were so shocked because the service was otherwise fine. Will not be recommending this restaurant for the rude service and overpriced, mediocre food.
Tasting menu was fun, tasty and accommodating and had a vegetarian option. Blue fin tuna was delicious. Portions were reasonable and the chocolate dessert with port wine a yummy finish. Vegetarian options: Tasting Menu easily accommodates vegetarians.
Love it here. Food is delicious. The server was great, as well. We ordered a few items to try and we were not disappointed.
Came here at the end of summer for dinner with some friends, the table we were given was very windy and sunny so we asked for another table on the other side of the restaurant where we were still on the patio but in the afternoon shade and way less windy. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered: Rock Shrimp Tempura Blue Fin Tuna Tataki Wagyu Beef Tataki Egg on Egg on Egg roll Scallops Miso Black Cod Kimchi Fried Rice Tout Chocolat Lemon Yuzu Blueberry
It was my first time at this restaurant and I d say it had its ups and downs. Definitely had higher expectations for how the experience might turn out. The restaurant has a nice location in Yorkville, on the 51st floor, with a nice outdoor patio and view of downtown. Our group came specifically to do the tasting menu but was told by our server that the kitchen couldn t do the tasting menu on Saturdays. This was not noted anywhere on their website, so there was no way for us to have known this ahead of time. Obviously a huge disappointment. Our server said they ve brought it up many times with management. So if management is reading this, a note on your website really isn t that difficult, and listening to your staff is probably a good thing to do considering the experience it s providing your customers. The food for the most part was good. The Miso Black Cod was definitely way too salty. Three of us from our group sent our cod back because of that. We were told by the staff that they did also think it was salty themselves and did not seem surprised. Apparently it s marinated in the miso and then while cooking is also brushed on top to add even more. It was to the level of salty where everyone at our table thought it was inedible. This is a $40 entrée that consists of the cod, some sauce, and some greens garnished on top. It s definitely on the pricier side, and I could see a lot of work went into the food. I just can t say that after tonight I could recommend the place in terms of value and expectations going into the dinner.
We had a nice holiday party with our team. The atmosphere was very beautiful and great, the menu was big and variety of options to choose from. The service was great as well. Connor kept checking on us to make sure everything is good. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely come back. Food
Atmosphere was really nice. Waiting staff completely destroyed any pleasure from the space, rude, slow, overall very weak. Would not recommend given the competition for Japanese cuisine in the city is levels above this spot. I have no issue with the high cost as this is expected but 900 for 5 people gets you much better food elsewhere e.g, Akira back. Don t waste your time trying this spot. Do so at your own risk. The service was horrible, can t emphasize this enough.
Excellent food and ambiance. The view too. Rajesh was great company!
