Ive been coming here since the 1980s but lately their standards have noticeably dropped. You still get a bottomless cup of coffee but it was very weak on my last visit. I was also served the heel end of the loaf for toast two visits in a row. I cant recall ever being served the loaf ends anywhere!

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning at Aris. Inside has a wonderful homey feeling, and theres a little sidewalk patio for those inclined. No frills on this menu, has all the classics you love and some greek add-ons Im looking forward to trying next time. Good service, quick and kind. Coffee was a little stale, but what can you do sometimes. Looking forward to coming back

Had the Philly sandwich yesterday. It was delicious. Just finished the Greek burger. Also delicious. Onions, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, lean meat, perfection. Prices are very reasonable. There is an old school diner feel. They could have filmed part of a Tarantino movie in here. Light rock, oldies and soul music play softly in the background. The staff is friendly and the food comes quickly. This is not fine dining. It is just an excellent diner. I will be back.

Disappointing food and service for a pricey brunch, will not be coming back and I advise you dont either. Had the mega breakfast #3 with the waffle. They dont do poached eggs so I asked for sunny side up. The eggs were very overcooked and the yolks were burst, the bacon was burnt and black, the home fries were severely undercooked, and the coffee was basically just black water. They even gave me orange juice from the bottle as if it just came from the corner store.

I ve been coming here for well over 30 years. And unfortunately over the last few years it s just got down hill. I get that inflation is a thing But how are two breakfast sandwiches costing over $30? Hours of operation are horrible what restaurant closes at 2:30pm? The staff are so rude. And food is all mediocre now. Nothing special. The classics like their hot Hamburger, and Chicken Slovaki just don t hit anymore.

I typically reserve negative reviews for serious issues, especially when it comes to local small businesses. However, I cant help but express my disappointment with the fall of Aris. After being away for a few years, I recently revisited this once-beloved spot, and to my dismay, it seems to have gone downhill. The only redeeming quality is that the restaurant still retains its nostalgic charm, earning it a modest 3-star rating on atmosphere. But the food I ordered lacked any semblance of passion or creativity; it felt like it was prepared with the bare minimum effort. To add insult to injury, theyve started nickel-and-diming customers for every little thing, including a measly cup of peanut butter. Aris seems to be taking its loyal neighborhood patrons for granted, and if they continue down this path, theyll surely face the consequences. Its a shame to see a once-thriving establishment neglect its roots and its customers in such a manner.

Food is consistently great. Wish they didn t change the prices so drastically on UberEats. Poutine goes from $6.49 to $9.99! A Gyros on a pita (no sides) goes from $7.49 up to $10.99!!! I ve gone to this restaurant since I was a kid and love your food but the sneaky price change I was so surprised to see :(

Love Aris Place and so does my mom. The staff greet us and are so kind and genuine when saying hi and checking on my mom. All the Chefs and servers and staff work hard to keep the restaurant moving. I love the sandwiches and sharing fries with my mom and the little irish cream in my coffee just makes it an extra special lunch with my mom. Thanks for the memories

I went to Aris place for breakfast. It was about what I expected. The inside was a little bit dark and quite dated .The service was fast and attentive we were in and out in about 30 minutes. I had a BLT which in my opinion had slightly too much tomatoes, but some people might like it that way. I also felt that the home fries were a little bit under seasoned but nothing that some ketchup couldnt fix .They only accept cash or debit at check out which is fine for me, but watch out if you only carry around your credit card. Overall, if youre looking for fine dining, this is not the place to come, but if youre looking for an inexpensive breakfast quickly, I would give Aris a shot.

During my visit to Toronto I had breakfast with friends at Aris. KC served us 2 days and another server the 3rd. Food was solid and the service was great. KC was especially pleasant and I hope to see her the next time I visit.

I have been coming here on and off for years. This was really not the best lunch. I was over charged and didnt realize until I got home. ($20.00). I cant rationalize a mushroom cheese burger which wasnt that great being 10.50. and 7.50 for cheese cake that wasnt fresh. Even the old cheap dinners are way overpriced for what they are serving. The rest of the food was good, but Greek salad is not iceberg with 3 tomato slices. Ill wait to go back if ever.

Its a nice classic diner. Good spot for brunch. The food is average but the prices are really great. Its nice to have a spot like this in Roncy where everything is getting gentrified. The servers are nice and the overall atmosphere is charming.

I frequently order from different diners and restaurants on Uber Eats and had high hopes for Ari s when I ordered today. I was disappointed. Expensive for the portion sizes. Not good at all!

Classic greasy spoon. It is what it is and does what it does very well. I usually come in for bacon, eggs and coffee and it never disappoints. It is reliable and comfortable. It ain t gonna win a James Beard Award or be awarded a Michelin Star but that isn t what it s going for. Cheap and cheerful. Recommend.

Ok here is a honest review from someone that runs a business in the area. This is my absolute favorite place to get pancakes in the area. This place reminds me of a place I went to in the 80s in etob as a kid. The food hear is excellent for what it is. The staff is welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. Please consider trying this local small business before going to Tims or some other big chain for breakfast or lunch. Saport local small business and eat some good food while youre at it.

I ve been going to Aris since I was a kid and I love it there. The staff are SO kind, amazing service, the food is the epitome of diner food (in the best possible way), and the atmosphere makes you feel relaxed. Truly a staple of the Roncy neighbourhood. Also, their chocolate milkshakes are the best!

Food and coffee are excellent and you cant beat the prices. Used to go there almost every week. The only reason I give it 3-stars, one of the waiters is consistently so rude and aggressive that we dont go that often anymore. She drops food on the table, she kicked a chair, and she snaps at you if you take too long to order. Ive never not seen her like this. The rest of the staff are great.

Stopped by here for breakfast before going to high park with my toddler. The staff were very accommodating with the baby and did everything they can to help me have a relatively stress free meal. Food is as expected - eggs, toast, sausage and fruit exactly as I expected.

I sometimes order lunch here. No complaints on my end.. Great food.

When I first moved to Roncy almost 3 years ago , the first morning waking up there I went to Aris Place for the first time, since then Ive been pretty regular there. This place has really let the quality slip. We had stale bread Monty Cristo that was awful. A Philly Cheese Steak that was basically a roast beef sandwich made with old meat.The onion rings were ok and the chocolate milkshakes excellent. However, $50 later not worth the money and possible sickness. We wont be returning!

Had to throw our entire $50 order in the trash because it looked like a sad pile of dempster bread with processed cheese melted on top... with the classic breakfast the meat tasted soggy and gross. How do you mess up BACON?!

Aris Place never fails to impress! I ordered a large amount of food to take out for a get together I was having at home. We ordered pork & chicken souvlaki meals, and things I dont even think are on their menu (rice?), Greek salad and pita bread. The food was fantastic, guests were happy, and any left overs were happily requested by guests to take home. I requested to pick up my order early, and was accommodated within minutes (15 minutes to be exact!). I so appreciated their flexibility. The value of what you receive at this place is 5 star. You get more than you would expect considering what you pay. My family has been going to Aris for decades, and will continue to support Aris because they are awesome!

The cooks need timers when they cook. All the meats are over cooked and dry while their fries are pathetic and under done. I tried them a couple of times just to see if it was a one off. Even when you ask for your fries to be well done and crispy. Youd think 10 min deep frying fries would do the trick. Nope, they still come out soggy and very bleh. I wouldnt recommend stopping by here, not even to use the washroom. Theres much better spots in the area to enjoy.

Ive walked by Aris Place many many times but as a vegan was a bit hesitant to go in despite my love of the decour. It really has an old timey feel to it that seems like a period piece could be shot in. So when friends from out of town came by and wanted to hit up the closest breakfast spot I finally had a check it out for myself. Now I will say that this place is not the best place to find yourself if you want to eat and you are vegan but you will be able to get yourself something. The staff were friendly and it was clean and spacious. If you are looking for a greasy spoon with aesthetic value Aris fits the bill.

This place is perfect. Family owned and run. Open kitchen, fast friendly service. I went in for breakfast alone, got the eggs and corn beef and a coffee. I forgot to take a picture because it was so perfect. To be honest it s surprising how many places can mess up a simple breakfast. At Ari s you get exactly what you want from a diner. Great food, friendly service and low prices. Wish I lived closer I would go 5x a week.

One of the worst food experiences I had in recent days. I ordered the soup of the day and chicken souvlaki on a pita. The soup I was brought out was Campbells vegetable alphabet soup. I told the waitress I wanted my money returned, that I wasnt paying as its was Campbells soup. She said yes, its Campbells soup, I hadnt said it wasnt and shed have to talk to her manager as if this makes it ok... The souvlaki pita was flavourless and the tzatziki simply tasted like plain yogurt and the pita felt like it had come out of a fridge and barely heated. My partners meal was equally bland. Regrettable and will not return.

With spacious seating and a very friendly staff, I was really looking forward to a filling diner breakfast meal. Unfortunately my experience was horrible. I understand that the pandemic and other recent events has caused a severe damage to the Toronto food scene and restaurants as a whole however that does not excuse cold, badly prepared meals. Lack of seasoning being the main issue. I wish this restaurant the very best as I know its been around for many years and hope this review helps in bringing up the quality.

I love this home-style place. It is one of my fav places in Toronto and they serve breakfast all they. Staff is friendly. In COVID times they set up the tables to keep social distancing. I go there for brunch and their omelettes are good. It gets busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but it is a large place. Very decent prices.

Absolute staple of the Rouncey neighborhood. The definition of the old school greasy spoon. Recommend their eggs breakfast, the BLT and the club sandwich. I would avoid the coffee if you can.

Our server wasnt pleasant, didnt even tell us her name kept forgetting or ignoring when ever we asked for simple things like water. Food was bland no flavor. Ordered a philly cheese steak when it came it was pretty much a roast beef sandwich . Will not be returning
