serve nice sushi
Found this cute little gem on my visit to Danforth Village. I had one of the best unagi dons served to me. All the components were absolutely fresh and tasty. Great hospitality was offered to me, the hostess was kind and courteous.
I would have given them 10 stars if I could. Literally the best sushi ever. High quality fish and well prepared. The service was really nice.
This place is the best hidden gem I've found! food is delicious staff is always so sweet and attentive, I eat here atleast twice a month, it's charming and quiet the foods always prepared well with care and attention this has become my favorite spot in East york! Anything on the menu that I've tried has always been top tier!
My partner and I have been here twice and each time it was great. The prices are reasonable and the sushi is wonderful. It’s a hole in the wall and small but they make up for it in good quality sushi and great service. We will be back!
This was our second time and the experience was every bit as good as the first time. The food is a standout and tastes very fresh and comes quickly. The service is top notch and attentive. They are quick to help and always smiling. Highly recommend the Vegan flex which is excellent.
Quality is not as same as before. I often ordered Atto Chirashi rice bowl since liked Atto sushi and the quality of their food since Covid time. However tonight my Chirashi rice bowl is nothing but disappointment. Quantity of rice gone up, but the quality went down; previously rice seasoned well with seaweed bits and sesame seeds with full of flavour. Not anymore. Sashimi size went down; sadly sashimi pieces are smaller. Less garnish on rice bowl than before. I did liked bits of arugula ( or other greens) enhanced the flavour of overall rice bowl. First pic is old days rice bowl vs 2nd photo is my dinner tonight. FYI, when I ordered Chirashi bowl from Atto sushi for the first time when the price was 19$. Then it went up slowly( which I understood well+ I still enjoyed their good quality of food). Now it’s 24$. I wish Atto sushi kept their quality as same as before.
Had a date night with my husband here at this quaint little place. We were promptly greeted and seated. Miho our server was very friendly and proper. We ordered the Seared 9, Kaarage chicken, Unagi Dragon, Seared Salmon California maki. All very fresh and beautifully prepared. The chef greeted and thanked us after we ate. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes and enjoy more sushi.
I liked the quality of the fish as well as the flavor of the dishes. I got seared nine sushi set (comes with soup and salad), atto's nine sushi set (comes with soup and salad), and spicy salmon dragon roll. I liked them all. Very fresh and balanced sushi. Highly recommended
I ve been to all the sushi place on the Danforth, and Atto wins best price for the portion that works for me. Service is quick and great.
We ordered an assortment of sushi, sashimi and rolls, everything was pretty bad. One piece of salmon tasted off, while the rest of the sashimi didnt taste good or fresh either. The tempura in the rolls was mushy, and all the rice was basically unseasoned and tasteless. The soy sauce didnt taste like anything, either.
when i miss Japanese sushi, i always come here. As Japanese, I think this is the best sushi restaurant in Toronto :) In terms of appetizers, that reminds me of Japanese taste.
Excellent service and very good sushi
Very good amazing food.
Delicious food. Located around the corner from me. Strikingly fresh and consistent quality. The owner is the cook who takes pride in his product. My fav is Katsu Don on brown rice. The sashimi is always delectable. Good sized portions. It is a tiny place. Immaculately clean. Pleasant restful music in background.
We have dined in person and also order for pick up. The sushi is great but the prep time is terrible. For our seated meal, it took nearly 40 mins for our sushi to arrive. There was even a couple that left about 20 mins after being seated after no one took their order. They seem to prioritize online orders, so we placed an Uber order. The estimated pick up time we got was 2 HOURS!! We couldn t even cancel it because Uber gives them 1 hour to prepare the meal. I don t know why this restaurant even accepted the order. Anyway, great sushi but order a day or two ahead.
Yummy!
This is one of my favorite places! The quality is great, sushi is fresh and they are always nice. Price is great cost benefit. It s simple but food is worth.
Smaller portions but very tasty
I have eaten here and had takeout many times! front of staff super efficient and sweet, food is always fresh and really yummy, great portions and decent prices! my go to sushi place on the danforth :) Vegetarian options: the crunch avocado and veggie tempura are my go to Kid-friendliness: they have high chairs available
Great food and service.
Thank you chef Levi, your food and flavour combination was amazing. I really appreciate your attention to spice detail. Your complimentary (ingenuitively plated, i might add...) seaweed bites, were bangin with flavour. Just thank you. All I have to say. Also the service was amazing, the japanese host was very accommodating.
Great little place! The tempura, gyoza and rolls all tasty. I do not eat raw fish so can t speak to the sushi. The server was very respectful and helpful. Lots of street parking. Limited seating.
Ordered dynamite and California sushi.. the taste was too good. Its worth for every penny. Caring service... Highly recommended..
Absolutely a hidden gem! The ingredients are fresh (and believe I know when ingredients aren t fresh ), the food is prepared right before served and is delicious. The place is filled with integrity and authenticity. A must try!
Simple menu and really good sushi! Very kind staff and owners! Will come back here again.
Very tasty, great service! Nice selection of vegetarian options. :)
Food is fantastic! Ingredients are fresh, high quality and food is cooked with love. Server was friendly, cant wait to go back.
Excellent, 5/5 stars, I have been here many times and its ALWAYS great food and service, thanks Atto Sushi!
cute server, great food.
Absolutely phenomenal sushi. Probably the best spot Ive tried in the east end. Im just upset it took me two years in the neighborhood to try it. Great service - the chef made us a tempura spicy salmon appetizer that was incredible. We had toro, maki, chirashi, and gyozo - all were delicious.
Very delicious, beautiful presentation, friendly and professional staff.
Delicious food, excellent service, affordable prices.
We had been curious about this quaint little restaurant near us, so ordered takeout. What a delightful find! The menu selection is modest, but everything we tried was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. We ordered the Kaisendon, pork katsu, Rainbow roll and California roll. The chef also gave us some rolls on the house. Friendly staff, cosy ambience and reasonable prices. I appreciate food that shows artistry and care - well definitely be back.
Atto Sushi is the best and my new neighbourhood favourite! Top-notch food, great value, and the friendliest people. We were even given a delicious complimentary appetizer and free salad for my friend whose order didnt include it. An all-round fantastic experience and highly recommended!
Love the seared sushi and chirashi bowl. A regular spot for me, its a bit more expensive than other places but well worth it! Quality is always stellar
Small place with a big personality and delicious sushi. Staff are very kind and friendly and clearly enjoy their jobs. My go-to sushi restaurant. Sushi is delicious and in good portions for a great price. My favourites are the Vegan Flex and Seared Salmon Dragon !
The food was fresh and delicious, the space was very nice and cozy and the customer experience was great. Highly recommended
I have to say I truly enjoyed my lunch here at atto sushi. The food was amazing and affordable. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful. I highly suggest dinning here as you too will enjoy yourselves Food : 5/5 |
Chicken karage comes in measly 4 pcs The salad came in that looked like scraps of tinny little lettuce, didnt bother to make it at least half the container. the sushi is 1/4 of my thumb, the fish was so tiny and the rice was so little Not sure if i had to laugh or cry for paying almost $40 for this food. Seriously, is this a joke? To add to it, the fish is not fresh, the karage is super dry. I m not sure what s the hype about this place, people making 5 star reviews were either duped into making the review and was paid off by the free sushi anwyays whatever it is - I m definitely not wasting my bucks here again. Never again.
Great sushi! Always fresh Maki is great, one of our go to spots
We ordered from the skip. The wait was long, the miso soup was a meh. but the quality of food (sashimi and sushi) was surprisingly good!!! I love the food. I ordered chirashi and it was very nicely presented. The fish was fresh and lovely. They had the best egg sushi ! Will definitely order again!!
Weve been to Atto Sushi twice and both times were exceptional experiences. This might be one of the best sushi spots in the city, unsurprisingly so, as Ive come to learn that some of the best food finds in the city are located in little unassuming cornershops. A growing rarity with pretentiousness becoming the growing trend in Toronto. Their Maki Sushi Platter is an excellent option for two, and the chef offered us free miso soup when dining in both times weve went (usually a $3 value each). The platter is varied with everything from salmon to eel and beautifully presented, each piece tasting unique from the other in the best ways possible. Small dabs of wasabi are present on some of the included pieces, adding a little kick without being too overbearing. These are quality cuts prepared with care at a fair price point for the skill involved, brought to the table in a timely manner. The ambiance has also changed quite a lot since the first time we went months ago. Seating used to be a bunch of tables and chairs hastily put against the wall with paper cutout menus. Last night, the tables were set more in a diner style with tall cushioned booths and cute candles placed at each table - a much more intimate dining experience. Service has been top notch both times weve went as well, they have a good team over there.
This sushi spot is the best sushi in East Danforth, and one of the best neighborhood sushi spots in all of Toronto. Absolutely fantastic service, the Sushi and rolls taste amazing and they always show extra love when eating in and take out. Their a la cart Sushi is incredibly fresh and worth every penny. Highly recommended 5/5 stars!!!!
Finally authentic and quality sushi in the East. Salmon sashimi is like butter. Food quality is fantastic. If you re looking for a big teriyaki bento box piled high with stuff , keep walking. If you want amazing taste and quality, highly recommended.
A hidden gem on danforth! They have incredibly fresh sushi and it s worth every penny. I ve tried their sashimi platter and their sushi is amazing! And I always get it delivered so I m happy it comes looking very clean and aesthetically placed every time. I recommend this place for people in east york/danforth and meet sushi for ppl in Scarborough to everyone.
Thank you for the warm hospitality Great, fresh sushi! Loved the flame #1 and seared nine sets.
Super tasty, fresh sushi! My favourite is karaage don! I cantt wait to visit this here again!!
The sushi is really fresh, creative, and very tasty. Highly recommended for both food and service.
Saw the reviews and was excited to try this place out but was disappointed when we found a strand of HAIR in the nigiri. They also never called to let us know when our order was ready. Portions are small especially for the nigiri, not worth the $$ to be honest. We got the maki sushi platter. Looks good in photos but in person the pieces are tiny. But yeah half way through eating we found a strand of hair in our food, was instantly disgusted and lost our entire appetite
The sushi and rolls were okay. I think my favorite of everything was the veggie rolls (vege futo) which was closer to kimbap. The miso soup was good - lots of tofu and seaweed. Croquettes were also light and crispy.
Grabbed lunch here today. It was fresh and delicious and the service was fantastic. It s a hot day and buddy gave me a glass of ice water while I waited for my takeout. I didn t ask for it. Those little nuances are gone in most restaurants these days. I ll be back.
Went for a nice lunch at a reliable neighbourhood spot @attosushitoronto What we had: 1. Chirashi 2. Unagi dragon 3. Flame #1 4. Atto s nine
Easily the best sushi Ive had in the city, incredibly fresh and no sushi at a restaurant under $$$$ tastes close to this good. Cant recommend Atto enough. Especially the 9 piece sushi set
Excellent sushi, with the Atlantic salmon being the highlight of our dinner. The sushi rolls were also delicious, reasonably priced and filling. Vegetarian options: Our vegetarian friend loved the vegetarian sushi as well as the potato croquettes.
Their salmon sushi was absolutely on point. It tasted like what I would have in Japan. Staff and chefs were so nice too. They have excellent vegetarian options as well - our vegetarian friend enjoyed the potato croquettes and vegetarian combo. I think this would be my go-to place if I lived here!
Soooooo good amazing service and amazing sushi 10/10!! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!
Went with the boys and had a great time, food was well priced and tasty and service was amazing!
Atto Sushi is a recent discovery for me. Its delicious food! So far the Katsu don and Popular Duo are favourites, though I will work my way through the menu. Staff is very sweet.
SUPER FRESH!!! If you are craving sushi, look no further. Atto sushi always exceeds my expectation! Secret- order the Levi s Sashimi with rice. You won t regret it
It s a must try place. Delicious and fresh sushi.
Best on Danforth
I ordered the Kaisendon to-go and it was amazing! Super fresh fish, and you can tell they really care about the quality (even with the salad, which Ive found most restaurants usually do a poor job of when preparing takeout). The hostess was really friendly and kind as well. Will be going back!
Its small, only a few tables, but the food is delicious.
Some of the best Sushi I ve had in the city. Every item was fresh and delicious. The tempura shrimp were also excellent. Lovely owners. So glad we ve found this new go to for sushi.
Great experience and awesome food!
Ordered the spicy duo set. The miso was half filled and cold. The salad was basic though I was not a fan of the dressing. The rolls themselves looked nice but the taste was just not there for me. Ive struggled to pin it down, so Im just going to chalk it up to my personal preferences not matching with their product. Everything seemed fresh and well prepared. TBH, starting with a cold half filled soup may have biased me some. The miso was also middling at best after being microwaved. Great service and small but nice dine in space.
I really like the restaurant! I recommend having sushi there !!
Worst food
The fish is consistently delicious and fresh. The best sushi I ve had in Toronto. We are lucky to have it in the East End. Always greeted with a smile. This place won t disappoint.
Amazing food and service
Great place with authentic sushi!
If you want a fine dining experiencing but not with the pricey costs, come here! The food and the service never discuss and you will not regret it!!!
Best
Great food! Vegetarian options: Lots available! Food : 5/5 |
We had an amazing dinner of freshest sashimi and maki. We also had the crispy tempura shrimp. The chef surprised us by making us complimentary sushi tacos which were so delicious and we appreciated the personal touch as I do not think it is on the menu (hope it is on the menu at some point ) This is our third time for dinner there and we have never been disappointed. The best sushi this side of woodbine on Danforth. I hope they will be here forever! Thank-you chef for making a wonderful dinner for us!
We love Atto Sushi! Its our familys Friday night go to. The food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are so wonderful with our kiddos. Highly recommended.
The sushi here is amazing. It feels like a really special treat every time we order from here.
Second take out order because loved everything first time. Not so impressed this time around. Order came with no chopsticks, napkins, soy sause/wasabi/ginger. I dont have those at home, so experience was not that great. And it was for birthday dinner too.
Atto sushi Mainly eats rolls and nigiri sushi. It has different rolls, sushi sets and rice bowls to choose from. If you want some snacks, you can consider platter. Their platters are rolls and rolls + sushi. The 4 of us ordered 2 Maki Sushi Platter ($55.00) this time. All are super delicious! ! ! Let s talk about the rolls first. I personally prefer nigiri sushi and maki rolls, but I think their rolls are delicious! ! There were two types of fried shrimp and salmon that day, both of which were delicious. The different ingredients blended well, and the fried shrimp was so crispy that not a single bit got wet. The sushi is excellent! ! The fish and fish are fresh and high-quality, and the rice portions are just right, and they use wasabi to mix the rice and fish. It s delicious! You can tell that the food is carefully prepared by the chef and is not a chain store. However, its sushi is on the refined side and is relatively thin. For those of us who are big eaters, it may not be enough for our teeth~ In addition, the chef who went to eat that day was Japanese! ! She also treated us to a plate of bean curd sushi. It was rich in fillings and tasted very good with the bean curd skin. It had a bit of a fushion feel. What a surprise! I usually dont like bean curd sushi, but I think its delicious! ! The shop is not big and there are not many seats, but it is very spacious and comfortable to sit in. You can feel that the chef takes his food seriously when you make a meal, so eating it well is definitely worth checking out again and again! ! Atto Sushi excels in rolls and nigiri sushi. We opted for two Maki Sushi Platters ($55.00) for our group of four a fantastic choice! The rolls, featuring shrimp tempura and salmon, were superb. The tempura was crispy, and the flavor combinations were well-balanced. The sushi was outstanding, with fresh, high-quality fish and perfectly portioned rice. The chef s attention to detail was evident, providing a unique, non-chain experience. Note that the sushi portions are smaller, catering more to a fine dining experience. We were pleasantly surprised by the Japanese chef s tofu skin sushi treat, showingcasing rich filling and delightful fusion flavors. Though the space is cozy, the comfortable ambiance and chef s dedication make it a must-visit spot. It s worth returning for the exceptional dining experience.
The sushi here is on a different level from the rest. Try it, and youll understand.
Small hole in the wall place but always great and fresh sushi
Very friendly and clean its sushi sushi sushi sushi if youre in the mood for sushi its a great place to enjoy bring the family and friends
Very fresh, delicious
Best sushi in the east end. Beautifully fresh fish and well cooked rice. 100% recommend.
such a cute restaurant and staff are very sweet ! i loved the sushi and sashimi so much; the plating and presentation was absolutely lovely ~
Absolutely delicious i could taste the quality of the ingredients and freshness in each bite truly enjoyable food simple straightforward menu with great presentation. Amazing staff too very attentive and friendly Def my favourite sushi at Danforth Order: Dynamite Roll, Hiyashi Wakame
A little something for everyone, a great experience. Me and my friends came in and got good sushi at a good price. would recommend this restaurant!
Was great, the staff are super friendly, and the food very yummy.
I have been here a number of times, I will say on average everything is great however Im not sure its always made by the chef. Sometimes, as per my visit tonight, there are off days where the rolls were falling apart and my avocado was hard, so I have to downgrade a star for consistency. Overall it is still a good sushi spot.
The prices are great. One of the vest sushi meals ive ever had. The food was fresh, exciting and flavourful. Im glad our old sushi place closed as Atto has won my heart. Friendly service with a lovely and authentic atmosphere. Low-key and very appreciated.
Definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in the east end when it comes to fish quality. Every piece of sushi that I had was unique and had a clean taste. The staff there is amazing as well, the hospitality felt like I was at someones house! Please keep in mind that this is not a quick off the counter to-go sushi shop as the quality and effort they put into their food takes time :)
Went for Sunday night dinner in this small cute and cozy neighbourhood spot. They were very busy filling Uber eats orders but accommodated us nicely to dine in next to a family with young children. We had green tea in a can for the first time, delicious. Started with steamed gyoza and then sashimi, sushi, the flame and dragon roll. It was the first time Ive had torched sushi. It was all delicious. Will definitely go again. Accommodated my allergy as well. Sushi was fresh, presentation and flavour were phenomenal. Salad and miso and edemame were wonderful bonuses. Excellent gem in our neighborhood.
Good sushi
Fresh and delicious selection of sushi when you order this Maki Sushi Platter, which comes with maki and sushi. An important thing to note is that they put wasabi in between the fish and rice already for you, which is a traditional practice.
Best maki and sashimi that I ve had in Toronto.
We order almost weekly from this place. Great fresh sashimi. You also have to try flame # 1. Very reasonably priced
Great sushi!
Great quality sushi with reasonable prices! Highly recommend.
Im obsessed
Yummy fresh sushi!!!
Fresh fish and a great variety that Levi changes up every week. They are fast with their service and the presentation is unlike ANY sushi place Ive come to love in the neighbourhood. Their salad and soup is also really delicious!
Fresh and delicious! Happy to have a good sushi joint in the neighbourhood.
Ordered from here for the first time. Great quality fish! Highly recommend ordering from here.
The food is so good l! Such a great addition to the neighborhood
My goto is the Atlantic Nine all Salmon.
A really solid choice for sushi, with only one downside. Got the spicy tuna and spicy salmon duo for lunch, and it was good. 14 bucks, and felt full afterwards with the soup and salad. I can see how many people would love this place, and if Gyoko Sushi wasnt right down the street, Id probably be satisfied with this as my local sushi spot. But for me, the flavours just cant compare to Gyoko (except I think I liked the salad dressing better here). But that should not detract from this restaurant because its honestly really really solid. Try both and decide for yourself!
Best sushi on the east side. Delicious, fresh, authentic Japanese. The maki sushi platter is amazing variety and price. So grateful for this place. Great grab and go for economical and tasty lunch!
I m from the west coast and have been struggling to find good sushi in Toronto. This place is by far the best I ve found!! You can absolutely tell each piece is made with care and with high quality fish . Sooo tasty!
I like getting the inari yam sushi. I think about it everyday
Great quality.
- Great price - Great packaging - Great presentation - Fresh good quality fish - Sushi rice is delicious Will definitely be ordering again. Edit: ordered again the next day, still delicious!
The highest-quality, most delicious sushi weve ever had. Consistently amazing after 10+ experiences. Its a bit more spendy than other sushi places in the area, but brother, its worth every penny!
Fantastic sushi and sashimi! Since Ive personally tried this place for the first time during covid, I had the food delivered. The fish tasted fresh and therefore good. Not sure if this place will do dine in as the building is small. They also have some imported Japanese beverages and some snacks too.
Good food. Only have had take out. Staff was friendly.
There was plastic in my California roll.
New place, had to check them out. Pros: they have some cool treats from Japan. They dont water down their wasabi. Service was friendly. Cons: salt. Too much of it. The miso soup tasted like it had been boiled down too much, combined with the excess salt really ruined it. And the maki was also too salty overall. I might be back, but Ill give them a little time to adjust their seasoning first.
Great fresh sushi, will go back!
Great food and even better service. You wont be disappointed if you go! Great local place for sushi.
Ordered from here many times, and the food is always super fresh and delicious! The presentation is usually nice too!
Excellent quality and flavours. New local favourite
Chef Levi is truly a pro! Loved that they put so much effort into the details, the freshest fish from Japan, the dandelion garnish, the fresh berries with the salad, the full flavour miso soup, etc. Everything tasted SO GOOD! Can t wait to go back and try their grab and go options like the onigiri and chicken don! Highly recommend, awesome owners and super excited to see Atto Sushi grow as a staple in the neighbourhood!
Went in to check it out opening day, spent $70 on a take out order. I asked if they had any opening day specials or deals and they didn t. Really pricey for the quantity that you get. Sushi was good but not worth the price. Sticking with my regular sushi spot.
Good good...^^
Best sushi on the danforth. Finally something great in the deep east.
Great sushi! Definitely recommend :)
Wow! A legit sushi place so close to home. This is the best sushi I have had in Toronto.
Very tasty sushi. Very busy and not sure they were able to handle all the orders they had. Had to wait an extra 7mins for a pickup order but quality and value was spot on. Im sure they will be more efficient.
Amazing sushi! My wife and I ordered the maki sushi platter and everything was super delicious. Great value too!
Very tasty sushi and good value!!
perfection! pleasantly surprised by the quality of sushi. Best Kanpachi I ve ever had absolutely worth to wait 1hour, even more than 1hour.
My family and I ordered takeout from here and I think we will do so again. They prepared the food quickly and it tasted great.
Delicious food and great service. Would definitely come back
Tasty sushi! Much better than many of the other places around as the fish and other ingredients tasted quite fresh. A little on the expensive side for the portions but given the fixed costs of operating any restaurant in this city is astronomical I don t blame them at all.
Super fresh, high quality and great variety. Have been here twice. Got chirashi don (pictured), rolls (both pre-order and grab and go) nigiri, sashimi, miso soup for take out during covid. The only downside is it s hard to get ahold of them via phone, and they were spontaneously closed a couple of times I tried to stop in.
Fresh and nice variety of fish. First time trying and best sushi Ive had in Toronto in a while. Will definitely try again.
