Wine night on Thursday was fabulous. Verity is lovely and knowledgeable, and its fun to listen and learn fun facts about wines, wineries, and their owners. The pairing was incredible. The 2nd food pairing was a spicy meat / noodle accompaniment that made the wine taste fanatic. I was amazed that food could elevate a beverage that much. This team at Aviator are super friendly and impressive! Thank you, team Aviator! Dietary restrictions: The staff always ask about dietary restrictions and custom make meals accordingly. Wow! Love this!

There were 7 of us that went for dinner. Place had a cozy ambience, loved the exposed brick wall and service was fantastic. I really enjoyed the mushroom salad, shrimp/orzo dish, pork tacos and fries that I ordered and the rest of the group concurred with their orders as well. Had the Dream Catcher and Hugo cocktails. Both were great! Would definitely go back again soon. Parking: Parking along the street and a Green P parking lot across the street

Drinks were great, but the dishes were salty and the vodka pasta tasted like the inside of a pizza pop.

Waitresses were so friendly, restaurant was nice and food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful decor, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. The food was just ok, with the exception of the pork tacos which were awful. The tacos are 4 hard and chewy 2 inch mini tortillas with a pinch of shredded pork on top with a side of pork belly. Not worth the price. I would return for drinks because the setting is really nice, but definitely not coming back for dinner.

This is now our favourite Danforth Restaurant. Simple, elegant, clean styled. For was first class. Better then I have had in a long time.

The salmon was great, the server was very friendly, and the music was enjoyable, but the management was poor and unprofessional. My friend and I split the cauliflower gratin, which came out warm in some spots and straight-up cold in others (they clearly have this prepared in advance and pop it in the oven right before serving, which is totally fine). We told them about the slip-up, but since we had taken big first bites and it wasnt a health hazard to eat something like that cold, we just opted not to throw out edible food to avoid being wasteful. At the end of the meal, nothing was discounted or comped because we chose to just eat it and not make a bigger deal about it in the moment, which seemed a bit cold of them, for lack of a better word. The manager was very defensive and explained his rationale for not doing anything about it three times in a row (we ate it, after all, and he really couldnt verify if it was cold/didnt take our word for it/basically accused us of lying) before he finally comped the dish. It was a big scene and very disrespectful and unprofessional, and it definitely didnt have to be. There is some decent food to be had here, but we wont be going back out of principle. Just be mindful if you encounter a situation like this there, and maybe consider going somewhere a bit more serious about customer service.

We just finished the takeout meal and it was cozy, comforting and super tasty. I actually said out loud thats the best meal Ive had in a long time! and I meant it. I went here recently with my friend, and due to an issue with their fridge, the restaurant had to close. However, the owner was unable to get in touch with my friend so he stayed open 3 hours until we arrived to let us know! We felt terrible (my friend especially for not checking her messages), apologized and thought that was that. But then he insisted we still come in, his fridge was back working, and he served us dinner! So he stayed open all evening just to not disappoint two guests. Amazing service, delicious food and an unforgettable dining experience. I will be back again and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great dining experience, without the downtown prices!

A friend and I had a reservation one weeknight. Embarrassingly, I missed an email from Aviator cancelling my reservation due to a broken refrigerator. We showed up to a completely empty restaurant except for the owner, Alex and his mother waiting at the bar. Shocked and surprised...Alex kept the restaurant open just for us as he had not heard from me regarding the cancelled reservation. There are no words to express my gratitude for how kind and generous it was to keep the restaurant open. Alex was so welcoming and hospitable. He showed us around his entire restaurant, which is beautiful! My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience. The food, ambiance and service were superb and Ill definitely continue to dine here. Aviator is a gem and we are so lucky to have it in our neighbourhood.

Friends surprised me with a little afternoon tea platter. It was a delightful little treat during the covid stay at home order with bite sized sandwiches and little desserts.

I ordered Afternoon Tea X 4, one of every cookie and a bottle of Kim Crawford Rose. It was excellent, something a little different from the Covid short list of take out preferences. The meal became a conversation piece and was a highlight of my wifes birthday. Highly recommend.

Amazing spot on the Danforth! During covid, they have amazing take out picnics. Before covid, I used to come for there brunch and wine tasting/cocktail making classes. Amazing chef and staff make for a great atmosphere! Cant wait for them to reopen indoor dining

Ordered the High Tea for my MiLs birthday. Email was answered quickly as were my questions about payment and pick up. The lunch was delightful - Halloween themed - and delicious! Each boxed meal hold PLENTY of delectable treats to fill hearty eaters (read my husband ). In fact we had enough left over in each box for another meal/snack each. The lovely extra for my MiL with the ribbon and happy birthday message was so thoughtful. We will definitely try dining in once this lovely little place reopens to that option.

Had a great time just having dessert and beverages. Server was able to make me very good non-alcoholic beverages. Great atmosphere, and the server we had was amazing.

Came for a late dinner and drinks. My main (veg carbonara) and dessert (banana cream pie) were perfect. Small beer list, but local and good choices. Beautifully designed and great service. Looking forward to coming back!

Very enjoyable experience at Aviator. Between our group we tried many dishes including the vegan board with olives, caesar salad , mac n cheese, pasta, the lamb and braised ribs. Everybody loved their dishes. Particular highlights were the caesar salad, mac n cheese and fresh pasta. Love the atmosphere. Perfect little date spot. Even have a very reasonably priced wine list!

Delicious brunch I almost dont want to write this review because I want to keep this place as a little neighborhood hidden gem. But the brunch was delicious. The smoked salmon on perfectly crispy potato latkas. The Benny was on this thick croissant type bread. The chocolate croissant was delicious. My toddler and baby loved everything and even though its a nicer place, I appreciated that they could accommodate two kids under 3. To add, the service was excellent. Nothing better to have brunch with the sun streaming in through the large windows.

Went here for brunch to celebrate a few birthdays with a large party. The decor was lovey, and the service was very accommodating - we were greeted with complimentary pastries and a birthday treat. The food was delicious and a nice contemporary twist on brunch. There were options for everyone to enjoy. I would definitely visit again and recommend anyone to stop by for a nice meal.

Ive always had great experiences at Aviator but my most recent visit surpassed my expectations! During the pandemic they have been doing takeaway picnic boxes so I ordered a dozen for a park wedding shower I was hosting. The boxes were wrapped very nicely with ribbon and inside was even more of a delight! The mini sandwiches were all delicious (and plentiful) and the scones and desserts were perfect! These boxes were a great value for how high quality and generous the portions were. Everyone was very impressed at the shower - they were the perfect addition to a park tea party! Great job Aviator!

We ordered picnic Aviator lunches for a family birthday and it the whole experience was such a pleasure. The process of ordering was easy and well organized. We picked up our picnics and walked to Monarch park where we put down a blanket and unpacked our lunches. I enjoyed delicious tea sandwiches and scones and delicate deserts. My partner had food inspired by the Toronto Exhibition and raved about it. We ended the picnic with cupcakes topped with deep-fried chocolate. If I stop what Im doing and really try, I can still taste that cupcake. For me, it was otherworldly. I worry that the quality and quantity of the food means that the restaurant is not making very much of a profit because the whole experience felt like it should be worth more than $20 a picnic.

I tried their tiramisu as a part of the Holiday market theyve been doing during the pandemic. I am definitely going to be purchasing more in the future. I found it was actually perfectly balanced between the coco, espresso, alcohol (probably Grand Marnier) and mascarpone. Probably makes a great gift, or a quick and easy dessert after a meal that you dont have to make!

Great location, fresh menu that seems to fill the gaps of the area. Decor is modern with an old school feel that meets the expectation of the food. Cocktail list is retro with a modern spin, draught options are local and well balanced.

Really happy this place opened up in the neighbourhood. Food was excellent and not overpriced. We went there for dinner during their soft launch and really enjoyed the dinner. The ambiance is great and you could tell they put a lot of work in renovations to open up the space. We ll definitely be regulars at this spot.

Great atmosphere and quality dishes

The food and ambiance was mediocre. In a neighbourhood of great options this one just doesnt make the cut. The cocktail list was subpar. The beer menu is shockingly bad youre competing with The Wren, and theyre bringing a knife to a gun fight. I had mussels tonight, and it just didnt hit the right notes. They were okay, but the bread was just wrong. You need a bread thatll soak up sauce, and I was provided a dense buttery, and cold, loaf. This just doesnt do the trick.

10/10! Amazing food and great service-will definitely be going back!

Accidently deleted so apologies. I love this new option in the east end. I would characterise it as contempory Canadian with unexpected flavour and texture combinations. 2 specific examples would be the seared scallops with ham, cheese and apples, the other being the charcuterie board with pickled daikon and pickled and marinaded watermelon. The only thing that stopped a 5 star review was I prefer my octopus more charred and I wanted way more of the braised liquid reduction since it was so good. It was super flavourful and tender. The vibe is modern and cozy. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.

Weve already been there twice. The mussels are fresh and delicious. The burger is great, the chicken wings quite amazing and the noodles so yummy. Great service, great atmosphere, clean and welcoming. A real gem.

We just had brunch here and it was amazing! Such good, fresh food. The services was wonderful. The owner even brought us over some crossiants to try after we finished our meal, they were fantastic. We will definitely come here again and very kid friendly. Perfect for this neighbourhood.

Small chic space - think faux marble table tops and fabric chairs with wooden legs Decent food- excellent octopus but fried chicken could use more brining. Small plates with high prices but not advertised as tapas style sharable plates that is so popular nowaday therefore cost/portion was hard to justify. Service was patchy. One waiter asked if we needed space: for two... AND the car seat? but clearly the restaurant was expecting patrons in diapers based on the change table in the washroom. On the other hand, the friendly head chef offered for me to use the quiet space in the basement when he heard baby crying. According to Google this place is Casual. Good for groups but I agree to neither description

Love this place! Its great to stop in and have a nice dinner in the east end. The service and the food is always top notch. The vegan board has a tomato tapenade thats downright addictive! The bartender, Dylan, has a warm and welcoming energy and a skilled bartender to boot. The aesthetic is gorgeous and bright, with fun tunes playing you through your night. This has become a regular spot for me, and I love bringing my friends around to treat them on a night out. Cant wait to stop by again!

Stopped by on a weekend for a quick meal. Although they were finished with the brunch service by some minutes, they were kind enough to accommodate us with their brunch menu. Delicious foods and friendly staff. I will probably return to try their cocktails also.

Look, this place is terrible. Every dish was too sweet, the scallops were black and not on purpose, the vegan charcuterie board had the same apple chutney that came between he scallops, and the shrimp seemed doused in creamy french dressing.

We went to Aviator for a celebration dinner...and we had an amazing evening. Great ambiance, delicious champagne; shared tapas/appetizers and tasty main courses...We could not have chosen a better place for our celebration. This is the taste of Toronto...

They have a decent drink menu but the food wasnt very good. I had the burger, the meat was burnt and the cheese was rubbery. One of the people at my table had the fried chicken and it was burnt too. I cant recommend this place and I wont be going back.

Really cool breakfast place. I cant recall the last time I was at a fancy breakfast place like this. The food was really good. I had the french toast and it tasted like one big pastry. I would highly recommend.

Came here for brunch and first impressions were that the place was beautiful! E were asked to change seats to allow a bigger group to sit where we were but were very kindly rewarded with some delicious warm mini croissants on the house. One chocolate, one almond and one butter. The house smoked salmon was so good I asked if they sold it to the public. The Benny was good but if you really enjoy the traditional Benny this might not be for you as its on a thin slice of croissant. The hollandaise felt overly light too. I found it a little expensive given the serving size. If you like small plates this will work for you but I had my hungry teenage godson with me and we needed to get dessert somewhere else. So I would say its good but has room for improvement.

The mac & gratin was delicious could definitely be a meal. The burger was delicious according to the carnivores at the table. They complained amongst each other that the fries were bits and pieces. The sticky toffee topping was grainy and not great. I should have gone with the flourless chocolate cake that the waiter suggested. The atmosphere was nice. Overall a good dinner nice spot
