Modern Filipino Restaurant
This restaurant is a cute spot with lots of character. It serves heightened filipino cuisine that has elevated taste. I highly reccomend the calamansi cake.
The lightly breaded fried chicken is amazingly tasty—not greasy, so I can order another delicious dish. Yes, the price is a little high for the area, but the chef is nice and stops by to check on me, making it well worth it.
Wonderful spot to dine and highly recommend! All the dishes were great, but our favourites were the fried chicken, pancit canton, the ribs, and pork belly. Everything is yummy though, so just get whatever sounds good to you! For mocktails we got the tita ginger and pandan express. I would say the pandan drink is sweeter (but the flavour is great), and the tita ginger (my favourite) is a bit carbonated with a sweet-sour vibe. The staff were so nice and helpful, and service was fairly quick. Very cute diner style aesthetic. Truly a gem. Wish we discovered this place sooner!
One of the best food flavour experiences I had in my life . No wonder the restaurant received a Michelin ⭐️ . We came here for my friends birthday (party of 5) and decided to have the Chef’s 5 course Tasting so we could try a little bit of everything since it was our first time trying a Filipino cuisine. Their desserts did not disappoint either … and to be honest I NEVER finish my dessert (or rarely order one). Staff was super friendly and accommodating ie: we brought our own wine (corkage fee was $35 ) . I wish I had more pics but was too busy devouring and tasting the food . Note : the mocktails can be ordered as cocktails . My fave was the “Tita Ginger” as a cocktail For food we loved them all but my personal faves were: Tuna kinilaw, steak tartare (a must), BBs salad , and of course the dessert. If I was a deep fried lover or noodle lover the Fried Chicken and Pancit Canton would be on the list as well. It’s a cozy space with more seating outside .
The Lechon kawali here is hands down the best in Toronto—juicy, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell short. The music was way too loud, making it hard to enjoy the meal. Service was just okay, but could definitely improve. The fried chicken was decent, with a somewhat unique dipping sauce. However, the broccoli was overly salty with no real flavor. As for the G&T cocktail, it tasted more like lemonade, with the calamansi flavor stuck at the bottom. A mixed experience overall.
Cute place with Philippine dishes. Had the breakfast. Most times were good, the pancakes were amazing. I’d come back to try some of the lunch and dinner items.
Took my girlfriend here for date night and the experience was top notch from start to finish. Vibes were chill and laid back, music was very fitting for the environment, and staff were nothing but accommodating and friendly. We ordered the pink matter and the gin&tonic which were refreshing and tasted great. The adobo fried chicken and lechon were fresh, crispy, and delicious. The waiter forgot to add in the extra piece of fried chicken we ordered (since the order comes with 3 pieces) and as an apology, we got the extra piece free of charge as well as a serving of their white rice. The pancit was so flavourful and the best I’ve had in a long time. I’m usually not a fan of traditional pancit with the glass noodles so the egg noodles were a nice touch imo. The calamansi pie was phenomenal and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Would come back in a heartbeat. Another s/o to the staff for making our dining experience so memorable. Thank you and will be back to try your brunch soon!
Total date night spot for the vibes, flavors, and fun experience all around. The interior takes you to a whole other country and let’s not forget how fly all the staff looked. Plus, they were wonderful! Highly recommend the pork dish with the added rice - I could eat 2 of those alone and be satisfied for a week. We loved the tuna and chips, like summer on a plate. We went to try the spaghetti with hot dogs, apparently it’s pretty unique, but be warned it’s more sweet than savoury.
Delicious food, just the right amount, good service, great ambiance. Make sure you book a reso, it s usually too busy to just walk in. Food : 5/5
BBs is amazing!!!
Food was nice but service was very subtle. I ordered a drink and the server gave the drinks that the table next to me ordered to them and a nice introduction of the cocktails, then he just PUT the drink on my table without saying anything to me while chatting and laughing with the people next to me. It was very uncomfortable and rude.
Love this place, lunch was incredible. Well be back soon!
A 10/10 restaurant, every dish was amazing, kind and attentive service and a quaint atmosphere!! Worth the trip to parkdale! The broccolini dish was amazing, try the pancit, and do nooot miss out on the dessert! Delicouuus pie. Love it here. Made it to one of my top fave restaurants in Toronto, will be coming back. Can t wait to try everything else and the brunch!
Food was very average. It wasnt bad but for the price id go somewhere else. They told us their 3 pieces of chicken was now 2 bigger pieces. The 2 pieces were pretty small and mostly bone and breading. I would have been more satisfied had it actually tasted amazing or if the chicken quality was good but it tasted like any other fried chicken youd get at a fast food joint. Not bad but just nothing worth noting. Rice also came clumpy and cold. For a Michelin bib restaurant I was disappointed.
Very very cool vibes and the food was authentic pinoy style. Just had a random lunch for the first time with my bro and we definitely coming back
Everything we ordered was SO good and I absolutely loved the service and the vibe! Would highly recommend.
Food was delicious
One of the best vibes in the city ...Fillipino food really good and quality chill service chill people i Highly recommend. :)
One of the most delicious, fun, and memorable meals weve had in a long time. Beautiful exciting food, warm attentive service, great vibe. What an absolute gem. Dietary restrictions: They have many great gluten-free options and accommodate if necessary as well.
I have been to the previous location before they relocated and it was my go-to spot for Sunday brunch. I have loved their food all the time before when I would get to try new experiment fusion dishes from the chef! I am so happy for them to have a new location. Same food, same staff and same great quality. Authentic Filipino food, complete with the drinks to match, along with the cosy atmosphere. Truly the kuya and ates that feel like home when they serve your food. I will definitely keep going here!
everything was phenomenal! went for their dinner service and sat at the bar. staff is so down to earth and friendly. food was sooo delish. had the fried chicken, pork belly, spaghetti, and calamansi pie. considering it s a bit of a fancy place w the level of cuisine and cost, the portions are quite good! went with one other person but feel like there is great value in going with a group to try more food. can t wait to go back!
- Adobo Fried Chicken * -Pork Porridge -Pancit Canton * -Calamansi Pie -Ahi Tuna Kinilaw * -Filipino Spaghetti - Granted * -BBs Salad * - Steak * -Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake *
Killer brunch
Great service and good food
This is where I usually got my lechon fix, when I still lived in Toronto. I had them delivered every time. The skin was crispy; the meat tender, juicy, tasty.
Went for Dinner service as I live in the area and was curious to try a Michelin Bib Gourmand spot. Upon seating, we were greeted with a friendly server explaining the menu, which is very concise. We decided to order the Pancit Canton, the Fried Chicken, and the Tamarind Ribs, and a side of rice. The Pancit Canton was vegetarian with a sweet flavor throughout the dish, however I think the dish was lacking some additional protein. This was good, but nothing special for the price and portions, as I think you can find a better version of this with more food for less. 2/5 The fried chicken was next to arrive, served with two drums and two thighs, and a sweet-sour tangy sauce with a bit of spice. The pieces were very small, and were also nothing special. The chicken tasted like run of the mill fried chicken, with a soft breading on the skin, but I had hoped that there would be a flavor that stands out other than the sauce which paired well. 2/5 The tamarind Ribs were the last to arrive, which looked like it might be redeeming. The tamarind glaze was a nice touch, and it had a good flavor. Some parts of the ribs were juicy but not too fatty, while some parts werent as tender. I felt like it could benefit from more sauce on the side to offset the meatier parts. 2.5/5 Total for all three items split in two was $36. If you value a nice atmosphere and fancy looking filipino spots, then this would maybe be a 3/5. However, for food alone, portions and flavors left me and my friend craving more.
Bad service. Food took long, unhygienic and rude servers. Typical Filipino food, there are so much more better Filipino restaurants at a more affordable price.
I am not used to complaint about bad service, but I had a bad experience in this place. First, server touched my food with her enormous hoodie sleeve while setting the plates on the table, another servers smacked the water bottle on our table. Then we ask for one beer and they brought 2. We chose not to complain about those things and just accepted the beer, but the worst part was when we ordered a pie, and waited about 20 minutes, then we noticed that the table next to us got their dessert and we asked how was that possible since we ordered it first. The server responded rudely, essentially blaming us and offering no apology. She said, There s your pie in the kitchen; do you want it or not? This is not an acceptable way to treat customers, especially considering the high prices and the average quality of the food.
Went for dinner, was very disappointed. The tuna ceviche was good and flavourful. The pancit was not good. The biggest issue was that the restaurant was really cold, and the staff left the freezer door open for periods of time, making the restaurant even colder. Even though the lechon kawali was crispy and tasty, it turned cold within minutes.
BBs knows how to feed their customers! We had the 8 course dinner and everything was very delicious. The food was so flavorful and the service was fantastic.
Get off your phone and go eat here. Amazing food, great drinks, fun tunes. Cool dinner vibes too. Not much else you can ask for
Friend suggested this place because its a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient. Came here on a late Thursday night having never had Fillipino food. First impressions: its a very small menu (maybe 10 items or so) in the $20ish range. Very home-y feel with the patio lights outside. The 3 of us shared: Ahi Tuna - we loved this dish so much! So light and refreshing and would highly recommend this one! Paired with the Taro chips it was just delicious. Adobo Fried Chicken (3pcs) - very juicy, crispy skinned fried chicken, but I cant say it was Michelin kind of worthy. Pork Ribs - was a smoked sort of taste and done quite well, but probably would not say its the standout item on the menu of what we tried Maybe on the slightly pricier end given portion sizes. However, Its a fantastic place and Im glad to have tried it - Great service throughout the night and wouldnt mind returning :)
incredible experience here. googled some good filipino spots for my 1 yr anniversary with my filipina girlfriend <3 good vibes, good prices, people working having a good time. thanks so much!
Been meaning to check this place out for ages, glad I finally did! The tuna dish, similar to a crudo, was unbelievably fresh and flavorful, the beef tartare was really nice, and tamarind ribs were so good and tender. Service was very friendly and attentive, and their Playlist was immaculate.
Very good food, fried chicken and pie was really good.
Food is delicious Ordered Pancit Canton, Lechon & Tuna Kinilaw and you can t go wrong. Server was super knowledgeable and awesome. Vibes/music amazing. Can t wait to come back!
Adobo Fried Chicken - 5/10 Ginataan - 8/10 Pancit Canton - 10/10 Taro chips - 9/10 Pandan drink - 9/10 place is not so good. as per pricing, wouldve been better if prices were cheap to be in line with the place. other places in Toronto wouldve been cooler place and really good food but at a cheaper price compared to their menu.
My go to spot when I m hosting friends (both local and out of town). As a Filipino-Canadian I (and my family) can absolutely vouch for the food. If there s a line, it s worth the wait! Food
always a hit! SMASH SMASH SMASH 15/10!!!!
Delicious food, service and atmosphere
Amazing, authentic Philippino food! They have a super cute patio for the summer time, and knowledgeable staff who can really help with choices.
The hash was very dry and salty
Love the traditional filipino breakfast. The roofed patio is a lovely idea. Service wise, they are very much attentive and helpful.
BB s is a super cute spot with warm service. I really wanted to love this spot but along with a few other reviews here, I felt a bit let down for brunch. I think the taste of their dishes are fine but doesn t justify their higher price point. Silog was okay, and the rice was kind of clumpy and hard. Tortang was fine but again, the value wasn t there, especially given their Michelin Bib Gourmand status. The sauce with the fried chicken was the highlight, though the chicken pieces were very small. Unfortunately, everything also came room temperature. Maybe dinner is very different?
Warm and delicious. The food was top notch. The service was friendly and efficient.
this has to be my favourite restaurant I ve literally ever been to, the food, I could never stop talking about how good it is, the music, atmosphere, service is all incredible, I never thought I d be lucky enough to taste fried chicken this good, the rice and eggs cooked to literal perfection. Will never stop raving about this place, I ve been horrifically depressed the past few weeks and this restaurant and the lovely staff really around my day :) thank you all for everything:) many amazing gluten free and vegan options also!
Got the Tamirand pork rib soup (pretty decent but they overcooked the pork) Adobo Fried Chicken (good but 20$ for 2 small drumsticks) and BB Silog corned beef (pretty bland). Also they didn t make their own banana ketchup and just used a generic store ketchup which was very disappointing. What made me give it a 1* was the 1.5 hours we waited for food after we ordered. There are way cheaper tastier and more authentic spots for Filipino food, if you don t mind a more comfy (mom and pop) vibe. Vibes were good tho and their drinks were okay. Premium price, discount experience
A great set meal. The chef deserved a round of applause.
Paid $18 for 2 pieces of fried chicken and $20 a sliver of fish (where online it shows a full fish)
Decent tasting food, but terrible value. $18 for 2 small pieces of chicken .
Excellent food and mocktails. We did Kamayan dinner and were very impressed. Everything was absolutely delicious and so flavorful and the portion was generous. The mocktails menu was a huge hit and probably the best mocktails weve had. Staff were fantastic and great overall vibe.
Great venue for chill vibes. Service was excellent. Dessert was amazing.
I really, really wanted to like B.B.s. Maybe its just because Im not used to the Toronto dining scene but I just didnt feel like small-plates filipino food was my thing. Everything was tasty, and I honestly did enjoy the pancit, salad and brocollini. The BBQ was just o.k. The service is really excellent, and the overall vibe is great. Was the food good enough to justify the price point? I dont think so. I wasnt really blown away by anything.
Everything I ate was delicious and the staff were very nice people! Definitely coming back for more!
This place was FANTASTIC! The food was A+ so fresh and delicious (wait time was kept to a minimum). Had two beautiful servers who were so pleasant, warm and friendly. I wish I had gotten their names! Shout out to the Queen with the locs that offered amazing recommendations for mains and dessert selection. Even the people who worked there that weren t attending to us were so very warm/welcoming. Observing how the team interacted with other warmed my heart too. Genuinely so kind. For my first Filipino experience, they surpassed my expectations. Would HIGHLY recommend!
Loved the dishes and atmosphere. The ahi tuna and curry were our favourites. The portions lean small, each dish can be shared by 3 ppl-ish. Service was a bit slow but server was friendly. Really liked the interior design and neon lights, gave it a very unique, exotic atmosphere, especially at night
This place made me feel at home. When we first went there, my wife got teary eyed of how reminiscent the food was. We ordered the tasting menu and its all worth it! We even had a to go box with us going home. I cant wait to eat again there.
Wanted to like this place but the quantity and quality of what you get for what you pay is seriously lacking. We came for brunch and shared a Bb s Silog, Pork Sinigang, and Fried Adobo Chicken. Portions are really small... especially for the Silog. Sinigang is one of the worst I ve ever tasted. It is thick and only tastes of vinegar. Very disappointing. Fried chicken is very good, but again 2 small pieces for 12 bucks. Service is good. They were very busy so they never had a chance to check up on our table, but the staff is kind and friendly. Overall, this place is not worth it and it s a little disappointing especially since it s on the Bib Gourmand. Maybe their dinner menu is better?
BBs is a place where you feel like youre at home. Its a small, cozy, intimate spot that is serving some of the best Filipino food you can find in Toronto. Whether its their normal a lar carte menu, or their kamayan feast on Sundays, rest assured youre going to have an amazing, amazing, AMZING experience across the board. Shout-out to Justin and team for making it an incredible experience!
Delicious Vibes A very enjoyable experience. Both the dishes we tried are very good. Worth a visit
Great service, delightful patio, tasty but sadly small plate of food. The hash browns amounted to a scarce few toasted potato shreds sprinkled on top of the omelet. Disappointing - especially for the price.
Really cute resto in Parkdale with bomb food and the sweetest servers. Gave a 4/5 on service only because the place seems a bit understaffed and wait time is quite long. But I can t knock the servers themselves. They are all super kind. Would recommend the spaghetti, and pork sinigang. A bit pricey for the portion size but not too crazy for Toronto.
food was delicious. very nice filipino experience, staff are very friendly and informative. atmosphere is a bit.. rustic but the taste of the food is enough of a distraction. food is a bit pricey for the portion, but definitely good to eat every now and then. would recommend!
Went on mothersday morning and the staff were super nice and accommodating. Waiters checked in multiple times and all had great personalities. Food was overall good but not fantastic. The tortang talong was very fresh tasting but could barely even tell there was eggplant due to the citrus, tomatoes and sauce. Silog was super standard but nothing to write home about imo. Tried a spoon of the sinigang from my friend tho and that was actually very tasty so would recommend.
10/10 experience. The service was spot on - very attentive and knowledgable without being intrusive. Every single dish was on point. As a party of 6, we literally ordered one of everything on the menu. Our favourites were the kinilaw, pancit and calamansi pie . The space is a bit small (but cozy) inside, so definitely make a reso if you can. Well be back for brunch!
Incredible food and friendly service. Especially loved the tuna and calamansi pie
Amazing brunch spot.
The food are served in 10min, very small in size consider the price, don t expect to have classic Filipino food. No real Filipino comes here
Ate here for brunch with a couple friends for my biethday. Food was pretty good, expensive for what it is. Their plates are incredibly small for the portion size..not sure if it was just the brunch plates, but it was more of a side salad plate? Food was actually spilling over the side as I ate. I also wished they served a bit more rice with the silog option....I had a lot of corn beef left over. I was hoping that they had more of an authentic feel to the place and food/drink options. I really wanted to try their french toast but it wasnt available at the time we went, they replaced it with blueberry pancakes...which to me isnt something Id even order in the Philippines. Anyways, maybe Id go back if I get an invitation from friends, but I wouldnt book it myself again. Also just a heads up, bathrooms are upstairs so for anyone with a disability or older (like my mom who has a bad knee)....it might be difficult to use the restroom.
The pork sinigang felt a little sparse - a lot of soup and not a lot of vegetables (the pork portion is great). The pork ribs themselves felt a little chewy, when Id hoped that the meat would be more tender and fall off the bone given its in a stew.
The Kamayan was delicious and both the cocktails and service were great. Definitely recommend to come here if you havent already
Bestie and I went here on a Sunday night for their kamayan feast ($60 per person) def recommend. Our fav was the lechon kawali and the ribs. Highly recommend their drinks as well we got the pink matter and the calamasi cocktail. Most importantly the ambiance of the place tho was pleasing like from the lighting to the decorations (they even had a cute sonny angel and jolibee bee funko pop)
Best Filipino restaurant in Toronto!!! The drinks were also amazing and the staff too!!! Lechon Kawali is to die for!!
Best brunch in town and it s not even close. Forget what you thought brunch food was and get garlic rice & eggs, hot dog spaghetti or literally anything else on the menu. You won t be disappointed - and the service is friendly and quick.
The adobo fried chicken and pancit are to die for. Service can be a little faster. Looking forward to trying out their kamayan service.
YUMMY!!!!!!!!
One of the best brunch options in the neighborhood with lovely staff and tasty food. I couldnt recommend the fried chicken enough, its so juicy with great seasoning!
Good to try. Their menu is small which makes ordering easy. But I felt like it was a bit expensive. Id still go back, but not a place I could go often for brunch. We ordered a few items to try: - spaghetti: as with Filipino pasta it is pretty basic with some sweetness to it. Perfect sizing and sweetness. - fried chicken: bomb, so crispy, flavourful and piping hot. I thought the value was worth it considering the quality! Would order this again. - french toast: so lovely! Loved the combination of tropical flavours. The service is fantastic and such a vibe, BOH and FOH. The atmosphere is super cute and very instgrammable.
As a Filipino who recently moved to Toronto a couple of years ago, I was hoping to find some comforting Filipino cuisine. Unfortunately, the food didnt quite live up to my expectations. It was okay, but nothing special something I could probably whip up at home (even though Im not the best cook). Considering the price and the long wait for a table, it just wasnt worth it. The only bright spot was the friendly hostess at the reception. Once seated, however, the service took a turn for the worse. One waitress blatantly ignored my requests and tended to her friends at another table instead. It took an agonizing 30 minutes for our food to arrive, only to discover they had run out of cutlery, leading to an additional 20-minute wait. By then, our food had gone cold. I overheard others describing the waitstaff as cliquish, which is disheartening in the service industry. Its disappointing, especially since I was really rooting for them as a fellow Filipino.
Food was def delicious. Love the cosmo as well!
Longanisa was incredibly dry. Felt like eating flavoured cardboard. Garlic rice was good though.
A Filipino bib gourmand restaurant! Loved the low key old school vibes with r&b playing in the background. Server was very attentive and service was fast. Had a Pandan virgin cocktail which was nice and light. The calamansi juice and pie were hitting! As for the dinner menu items, there was a slight take on the traditional, but being of Filipino descent I prefer the traditional home cooked meals you find at Filipino parties. I went many years ago for brunch prior to Covid and I think they re better known for the brunch items. Will have to go again to remember. Parking: Parking available on Queen St W just around the corner if you park closer to the intersection.
Excellent addition to the neighborhood! Really great food, super friendly staff and great service. Highly recommend the Pancit Canton, the standout dish. I also really liked the Filipino spaghetti, but it might be too sweet for some people. Great spot for a reasonably priced, casual dinner.
Update: Food is tasty. Good vibes, gotta try food next time. Food : 5/5
I came here for the first time today with 2 friends and it was 10/10. We ordered the Pancit Canton which are basically stir fried noodles - SO good that we ordered 2, the Adobo Fried Chicken which was so tender and juicy, and of course the Filipino Spaghetti which perfect and not too sweet. We shared the 4 dishes between the 3 of us with some noodles leftover. Everything was so delicious - would highly recommend - we cant wait to come back. Super cozy place as well with street parking.
Super fun spot! Staff was super kind, knowledgeable. Hospitality was great. Food was fresh, unique, and satisfying. Will be back again soon!
Lovely spot for brunch. Great vibes. Friendly staff. Fried chicken is excellent.
Lovely sharing plates; had the ahi tuna, pancit, and pork shoulder. All were tasty, but each plate we on the smaller side for the price. Cocktails were also very good. Service was very friendly. Cute decor.
Such a comforting spot.
A little underwhelming for a Michelin guide restaurant but it was very cheap. The wings and noodles were the only good thing on the menu, the pork tasted like it was drowned in vinegar. Though, for the price it is worth checking out. Food : 3/5
Loved everything about our dinner here tonight Cute, cozy space. Super friendly service. Fantastic cocktails and food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Small plates, and food takes a long time to be served, and the pork was so hard to chew. Good noodle dish. Basically paid $$ for the ~ vibes ~
The dinner service was amazing. Loved all the cocktails, wine and all the food. Great night out, definitely going back soon.
This is now my go to brunch spot. Loved the food and service. Glad to see the non Filipino parkdale community embracing more Filipino cuisine.
Amazing food. Perfect spot to grab brunch. If youve not had Filipino food before....this is a great introduction to the flavour profile. Friendly staff. Come early if you dont want to wait in line. Got busy by 12:30/1pm with large groups of people showing up. Vegetarian options: Has one vegan dish.
Food was not great and very expensive considering the quality and portion. We tried 4 of their dishes and none of them were good.
Really great cocktails, and fantastic service. The food was super fresh and tasty. The ensalada talong was delicious, and I was pleased to try a vegetarian pancit! My only comment would be that it would be awesome if they had just one more vegetarian option on the menu, for some variety - but I will definitely be back regardless, I had a great time here!
Loved it! The food and cocktails are delicious and the environment is very quaint, quirky and fun. Definitely recommend.
We go brunch regularly, but this time suggested this place to go with friends for the first time. However, I really regret it. The atmosphere is rustic. It is a brunch restaurant and only has 3 options as brunch on the menu ( can you believe that?). The prices are high considering it is brunch. The quality of the food is a little bit better than medium. I didnt try the cocktail, though. The staff are friendly. But overally neither will go there myself again nor will suggest it.
I rarely do google reviews but Im just shocked after visiting this place. The portions are tiny and the price is very expensive. They only have 3 options for brunch!!!and the food was room temp when it got to us. I do not recommend.
Torontos best kept secret!
I haven t had much Filipino food in the city but BB s was such a cute spot with unique brunch options. We ordered a bunch of items and shared them family style. Ginataan was my favourite dish that stood out the most. I am not a fan of eggplant but the tortang talong was tolerable. The garlic rice in the BB s silog was dry and crunchy - not the texture I was expecting. The tamarind in the pork sinigang was stronger than what I m use to. Adobo fried chicken was good with the habanero pineapple sauce. Everything in the Marivic s toast complimented each other well as a dessert to end off the visit. It was hard to get someone s attention so we were waiting around a bit to order and for some other items. Loved the music they were playing.
Had dinner here. Fantastic filipino food with service to match. The great evening atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience.
Ive been here a handful of times and this place never misses, its become my fav spot in the city. 10/10 food, atmosphere, service and music too. Love the fact that the menu switches up often too, overall great intimate spot.
Best Filipino brunch in the city! Amazing team. Friendly and welcoming
A small, cozy restaurant with great food and friendly service. Came on a Friday afternoon for brunch and got seated right away. The silog breakfast is amazing. We chose both the longonisa and hashed corned beef options. Eggs are served sunny side up but I m sure if you wanted to you could ask for scrambled. We also had the Filipino spaghetti with the traditional sweet sauce and hot dog. Nice Miami vice art deco style decor as well. I d definitely come back.
Welcome!!!
I came here tonight to celebrate a friends birthday and the drinks were amazing! I got the bartenders choice and it was really good, the bartender was also very funny and nice. I will be coming back, the kitchen smelled amazing!
The food and cocktails at BBs are amazing! Our server kk was so friendly, made great recommendations and made us a tasty bartender special!
Disappointing. They were already full so we had to wait, which is totally fine. We were told that the wait would be 20mins so chilled at the coffee shop across the street. They said they d call us when a table is ready. We waited about a hour and saw that people arrived after us were going in. Went back, it was true that people got seated before us. Never called or texted us. Very disappointing service. Food was unimpressive. A sausage, 2 eggs and some rice is $20. A sour soup with little bit of pork was $19. I m really not convinced that this restaurant has a high rating on google. The rating probably will go down.
Adobo fried chicken is FIRE
A very delicious and cute brunch place. I also like the friendly and bright atmosphere. It s a pity that the price is a bit expensive, but !
ive tried all kinds of authentic sinigang back home in the Philippines but BBs Sinigang is BOOOMBB Must try!!!
Love this cute and colourful Filipino brunch spot. They take your traditional Filipino breakfast silogs and elevate the flavours but staying true to the roots. Whenever I am missing homecooked meals, I come here to eat! Must try the adobo fried chicken!
LOVED IT. Lovely staff and delicious food, casual homey atmosphere. Brunch was the bomb.
Amazing food and really great experience eating here! Also Kailee was amazing, she made sure we were well taken care of and answered all our questions. Will definitely be going back because of her!
I ve been wanting to try this spot for a while, it s amazing to me that there isn t more Filipino food on offer in a big city like Toronto. We had the Silog, friend chicken and squash curry. The Silog and chicken were both decent offerings but the star was really the curry; so much depth of flavour and very different from what you might think of as curry. Definitely give these a go if you visit
I love this place very much. Food is amazing the atmosphere is fantastic the staff are great, always play really wonderful music which adds to the good atmosphere. The spaghetti is my favorite Im in love with it Im obsessed with it.
Was really excited to come here. The drinks and service were exceptional. The food was not great. Might try dinner here.
Service took so long even when giving the bill. Tried adobo fried chicken and I can t taste Adobo. Won t recommend.
IM SO HAPPY WE FINALLY CAME HERE! Been wanting to come here! It s hidden on a street in Parkdale. The food was delicious, fresh and flavourful! Price was great! The outdoor patio and dining area is so cool! And mostly, the staff are all so friendly and sweet! So great to have finally tried Filipino brunch! 100% recommend!
One of the absolute best spots in town
The staff was really nice, they were having a really slow day hence why our order came in very late! But their adobo fried chicken is really amazing, it was really juicy and crispy at the same time! Tyler was kind enough to give us a toast on the house as we wanted to order garlic fried rice but they were out of it!! The food is a little on the pricier side compared to other Filipino places such as republika, but overall great ambiance and good food and great service!
Fun spot for Filipino eats, with indoor and outdoor seating! Great vibes and the staff is super friendly. Personally really enjoyed the BBs Silog and the Filipino Spaghetti, but the group overall also liked the Adobo Fried Chicken. Good shandy too! A solid recommend if youre in the neighborhood.
I ve been 4 times now and I m consistently impressed! The specials are always bomb, everyone working here is lovely, and it s just so darn cute. I would recommend, and in fact the people I have already suggested BBs to have loved it!
A perfect evening at BB s shared with my dear friends to celebrate a surprise birthday for our unsuspecting friend who didn t know we would be celebrating his belated birthday . The service at BB s was outstanding from the get go: making our dinner reservation via text was seamless, on the night of the dinner reservation we were warmly greeted by staff and offered our choice of a table inside the restaurant or outside on the patio (** we were the first reso of the evening ). My friends and I ordered the entire dinner menu (excellent menu for sharing) and had an absolute blast. Food was phenomenal and the drinks were so tasty. My friends and I walked away with our bellies full and happy. Thank you Team BB s for your incredible hospitality! We will be back very soon!
Theyve definitely redeemed themselves here, the first time I didnt even make it to getting food. But coming back they had an absolutely sumptuous eggplant omelette. The rice had flavor but I think the oil was cooked on too high. Bar staff serving were very energetic, joyful and helpful but some care more than others I think here. All in all I was fairly happy the second time around with this cute little place
Get the pancit canton!!!! Overall the food and drinks were really good. My pink drink was heaven on the first sip. Service is fast, warm and friendly. When we were eating outside tho at 6PM, we were swarmed by bees but not sure how you can really help that. Luckily they let us move inside. Just be warned. Would come back again 100% to try everything.
Went here for a friends birthday, we were a large group so we ended up ordering the entire menu!it was well worth it! Excellent Food & Service! Congrats on being the newest addition to the Michelin Guide!
Love this cute little place, it s been a long time since I ve been able to find really good Filipino food in Toronto and this place does not disappoint. The garlic rice is perfect and so yummy and oh the sour vinegar is amazing. We had the breakfast with the milkfish which had delightfully crispy skin and the French toast which was all just so yummy. Will definitely come back to check out the dinner options. If you want to try some yummy Filipino food you should definitely check this place out.
Food was good but portions a bit small
Food was tasty. Playlist was on point. Friendly staff.
The fried chicken was delicious but didn t taste like adobo, and the portions were disappointingly small. I was surprised there was only one slice of French toast per order. Calamansi and guava mimosas are interesting and different though! There are better Filipino restaurants around Toronto and just slightly further west on Queen Street.
Swung by after a long drive after and can say, I m really glad I did. Being Filipino, I ve been trying to find a new go-to Filipino spot since Lamesa closed its doors, and I m confident I found it! BB definitely steers more towards modern/fusion Filipino cuisine which is a welcome experience, it s always fun to see how we can push the boundary of our cuisine. The Adobo Fried Chicken is a MUST, as well as the calamansi pie. I really wanted to try the sinigang but I was way too full to attempt it. However, I ll bring the whole cousin crew over for brunch, I m sure it will be an amazing time!
We tried both the steak & chicken. The portion sizes seemed closer to fine dining, but tasted amazing. We were especially really impressed with the adobo fried chicken! Sidenote - congratulations to the staff for making the Michelin list in Toronto
Music Food Service Drinks All around great time
The spot for Filipino cuisine in Toronto. Calamansi pie is divine. Brunch menu is comfort food, the rice, fried egg, and fish. Love their own spin of the French Toast. I think the best food is in the dinner menu.
My first Michelin recognized restaurant and first time trying Filipino food other than Chicken Adobo (or is it Adobo Chicken?¿). The food 10/10, music 10/10, service 11/10! You can really tell everyone on their team puts their best effort in trying to make the dining experience memorable. . It s recommended to eat family style to match the vibe of their new location. I was sceptical at first regarding the portions, but all these dishes had us super satisfied by the end of our meal. The drinks are very creative, delicious and generous. The Kinilaw was fuego and my favourite, a burst of flavours forreal. I recommend the Pancit Canton, so good.
I was really excited to try out this Michellin approved Filipino restaurant but was overall quite disappointed with the food. I got the BBs silog which came with two eggs, a very very small cup of rice and longanisa. The eggs and rice were flavourless. The longanise was the best part of the meal - super savoury with good bits of fat and meat, very high-quality. However the total came to $20 to what amounted to a very small amount of food. The place also ran out of two popular menu items which can be attributed to fast rising demand, but still, you should expect more from a Michellin star restaurant. Service and atmosphere was nice, kinda seemed like a instagramy place - so if thats your vibe, you might dig it. If you want to feel full and satisfied, Id recommend going elsewhere. 6.3/10 Follow me on tiktok for my review @aravindjeyapalan and my IG @aravinderaj
Food is delicious, but the size is small and the menu is limited in the evening. It took about 40 min to get out food.
Kk, Ellie, Jamie, Nicki and the crew were absolutely amazing we had a great time. BRING THE PANDAN EXPRESS BACK!!!
bring the pandan express back!!!!!! I mean they re on the michelin guide, so do you need my opinion. but also ellie, kk, jamie and nikki are the best. if you want to have a good night with laughs and good drinks and food, come for dinner. brunch is nice but dinner is a vibe. get a sine back, trust me.
What a nice surprise! Definitely a highlight in the food category of our one month stay in toronto. Short but diverse menu packed with flavor. Super friendly team. Would love to go back and try the rest of the menu!
Small place, great vibes. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable on menu items. Gotta have the fried Chicken and Panda express cocktail!
KK is the best. Had us cracking up all night!
BBs diner is definitely worth of being on the Michelin guide list. Everything was delicious from the cocktails to the food. I wish they offered bigger sizes. The star of the menu was the ahi tuna ceviche which was amazing that it was purchased twice. Amazing experience
Located in the lovely Parkdale neighborhood, BBs Diner serves classic Filipino (mostly breakfast) fare with an elevated twist. Menu items are fairly priced, and serving size is good for one. Service was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Flavors are unexpected, but the overall dining experience was remarkable. The ambiance is comforting and homey, reminiscent of your Lolas home where family gatherings are held. House playlist was and features the best of PH music. Went on a busy Sunday brunch and regretted nothing. Good vibes Will come back and bring friends for dinner next time. Ordered: Sinigang (on the salty side, not as sour as we are used to), Adobo Fried Chicken (yum, didnt exactly taste like Adobo but the chicken and sauce were delish), Silogs (yum but wished they had Tapa), Mimosas, Tito Ceazar (like a Bloody Mary), and a San Miguel Pale Pilsen omg weve been searching for this!!
Tried the silogs, torta, adobo chicken and sinigang with family yesterday. Honestly the food fell short of expectation.
Unfortunately the reviews here in general are accurate. The food is good! The people are nice. But I would not come back and did not enjoy my experience because: - incredibly slow. We ve been sitting here for 80 minutes and had 2/5 dishes brought out - we waited a long time to order and we were ready and waiting, just no one around to catch their eye - portions are small. Labelling it a diner is, misleading The price is within realm of typical Toronto nice spots but there was one waitress for the whole patio and with the open kitchen, I see two cooks/chefs total. I don t know the inner workings. Based on today, I suggest hiring some more people. Lots of great Toronto spots where I don t starve as I pay $18 per cocktail.
Charming little spot with a lot of character and tasty food! The place has a small menu but everything we tried was pretty good including fried chicken, pancit caton and pork coppa steak. You can tell how much attention was given to each dish. The vibe is diner excellence with neon lights, bar seating and outdoor booths. Really makes everything come together. Definitely recommend if you re looking to try filipino food, enjoy some nice cocktails and just have a good time!
My wife and I came to this place partially out of curiosity to try a new filipino restaurant, and partially because they were featured on the Michelin Guide as a Bib Gourmand winner. I have been to hundreds of restaurants across the GTA including several other places that have a Bib Gourmand, and I have to admit that although the food was fairly good here, I felt like it was a fair bit of a let down. Typically youd expect something on the Michelin guide to be an exemplary experience in its category, however I feel like both the taste and the value of the food were not only inferior to to its competition on the guide, but actually below similar restaurants that dont have any Michelin recognition. Although the food isnt expensive per se, the portion sizes are quite small overall, and even with three dishes that we purchased, the two of us were just about three quarters of the way to being full (and the bill came out to about $70). On top of that, although the flavors were decent, we felt as though there are many other asian restaurants in the GTA with far superior taste despite their lack of recognition. As such, were not really sure who this restaurant is meant to appeal to: its not an affordable value based meal but the actual food isnt even comparable to its direct and indirect competitors. Its possible that we went on an off night, but we cant really recommend this place to anyone, especially when there are so many good food options available in the Parkdale area.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You can tell they care about their customers experience and the food they make. The service was a bit slow and I was disappointed that the sinigang wasn t sour at all (which separates it from other filipino soups). However, I would highly recommend the fried chicken.
Still currently here as I m posting this but I feel like a stuffed and content duck rn so I think I m ok to write a pretty legit review. I got stood up for a date that I was supposed to have here and to be honest, I m glad I paid the deposit earlier to make my reservation. Aside from it keeping me accountable, I think it s smart for restaurants to do that, considering how easy it is for people to be no shows. This was the perfect place for me to have my last minute-date-turned-solo-girly-date. Every staff member I encountered was so warm and friendly. The drink specials were so unique and the cosmo I ended up having was sooo tasty. Aside from the impeccable service, the other stars of the show were the adobo fried chicken and the Filipino spaghetti. Both dishes were so incredibly well done and overall my experience was enough to elevate my mood and leave me in happy spirits. They really take care of details here and I think this is a beautiful space where you can get a laid back ambiance but upscale experience (a combo that is hard to execute effortlessly, something BB s truly does). I can t wait to be back with my friends!!
Great filipino spot for brunch. All the food was great!!
Overall good experience! 3 stars doesn t mean that I didn t enjoy the food and vibe. It s just that I may have had too much expectation since theyve advertised that they ve been added to the Michelin guide. I guess I was just expecting more and I just didn t get that. But again, that is not to say the food didn t taste good. They were great! I ordered Filipino Spaghetti, Adobo fried chicken, Pork Coppa Steak and Calamansi Pie. Oh and it was a bummer that they don t serve garlic rice in the evening :/
That s why it meets the Michelin standard; its what youd expect from Filipino food prepared by a French and Italian chef to their highest standards. Its unquestionably high-quality French cuisine, but with Filipino-inspired dishes and ingredients.
Comfort Filipino food in a small retro space. Servers were really friendly and food was traditional with a modern twist. The adobo fried chicken was well made and my personal favourite Recommended dishes
Living away from my parents, this place is a great place to get Filipino food. I ve tried almost everything on the breakfast/lunch menu and couldn t tell you which one is my favourite. Everything has tasted so good and would recommend coming here.
Food was great but customer service was quite bad, waited for my food for too long.
We ordered one of everything on the menu, loved the spaghetti, the canton noodles, and the adobo chicken. Food was good, I thought the dishes were small though.
Love this place! All the food is amazing, the Filipino spaghetti is pure nostalgia Love the staff. Best service in the city hands down. Food
Kaykay was great. She was such so sweet. Made the experience so much better. Music was definitely on point! Highly recommend this place.
Aesthetic brunch spot but I ll be honest the food was lack luster and on the pricier side. Disappointed that the sinigang was not sour or hot, it was warm. The corned beef hash was dry. The adobo fried chicken was just friend chicken, nothing adobo about it and also dry.
First time today at BB s and won t be the last time. We went for brunch and everything was so delicious! Kailee and Ren were super sweet and welcoming. Both made sure that we were taken care of and made the whole dining experience a one of a kind. Will come back to try their dinner menu!
First time trying filipino food and I loved it. I will be recommending this place for sure, amazing atmosphere all around!
best vibes. great music, great food, great service. pancit canton was so bomb. ordered a second one for the table and ordered a THIRD to go. chef Manny was ready to close the kitchen down and allowed me to order the third pancit and came to our table to bring it to us. he and everyone were so friendly and nice.
The rice was dry to the point some grains were hard, and the service was very slow. Flavours are good though but definitely have better options for diners around, especially for the price.
Thank you for the great Birthday experience. Even when there was menu items unavailable they go above and beyond to provide alternatives options.
Went for dinner on a Friday night. The kitchen was having a slow night but the servers were friendly and communicative. Great space and music. Food was delicious, if not always appealingly plated. Highly recommend the pink cocktail.
Very cute and snuggly place for good food and drinks! I really enjoyed the spaghetti and the pork steak they taste just right if you like food that has tropical island touch on it (lol basically nice balance of sweet and sour and spicy)
This new Filipino restaurant truly impressed me with its commitment to embracing classic Filipino taste with an elevated presentation. The kinilaw was fresh and vibrant, the fried chicken adobo was a delightful fusion of crispiness and rich flavors, the pork steak was tender with a perfect balance of savory and sweet, and the sinigang had that comforting sour note just right. A very good experience overall, and a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Filipino cuisine in a refined setting.
Amazing spot for dinner, drinks and a great night out! The servers are warm and cheerful, drinks were delicious and the food was outstanding! So much flavour in every bite!
Just had the most amazing experience at BB s! My partner and i have been looking forward to trying out this spot for brunch for a while, and decided her birthday would be the perfect opportunity to treat ourselves. The food was phenomenal to say the least, the silog with the house made longanisa was super filling and each bite had me craving more! The French toast was decadent without being overwhelming, and i would highly recommend both dishes. Be sure to wash it down with a delicious Cesar or mimosa! The vibe in the space made the incredible meal even better. The beautiful space and the great music selection created a wonderful setting which just put a smile on our face and it seemed like all the other guest were having a great time which is always a good sign! Last but not least is the above and beyond service we received from Ramone and the rest of the team! He is a superstar and made this one of the best brunches we have ever experienced, incredible hospitality. He was joking around with us like we ve been friends for years, helped sing happy birthday for my partner when he brought out a beautiful slice of Calamansi pie, and I m not even lying when i say he swept me off my feet and carried me out of the restaurant to I will always love you . A truly beautiful brunch, thank you BB s for the amazing experience, and thank you Ramone for giving me my Whitney Houston moment! We will be back very soon
Wonderful spot to get filipino breakfast. The food is true to its roots, is unpretentious, and delivers in flavour!!! Would come back 10/10
My partner and I worked with BB s on a private function for 20+ ppl. Our guests had the best night over curated dishes, drinks and music. The staff that helped us plan were attentive and accommodating with our requests. Of course the food was amazing thanks to the experienced chefs! Will definitely come back another time for a planned event or casual night.
Staff are amazing! Food consistently amazing; went there 5x already.
Great brunch, great vibe- we loved it here!
Good food, happy tummy. Hope they have more new items in the menu.
Great food! awesome vibe. 100% recomend this restaurant!
Everything ordered was delicious (especially the fried chicken) and waitstaff was great! Excited to go back
Food was not fresh, the rice was clearly from the previous day and dry. Service was basic, so I cant say that Ill be eager to come back.
Great cabbage.
Great vibes, great cocktails! Will definitely come back :)
Incredible spot for Filipino food, best in town. Please make the calamansi pie more often! Food : 5/5
Absolutely wonderful spot. Both brunch and their cocktail snacks menus are incredible, very welcoming vibes.
Highly recommend their dinner service. Great and succinct wine selection. Lovely plates to share.
We only stopped in for cocktails, but they were all on point! Thanks Jeremy
