Large Wings deal from 1-3 recommend was full till dinner. Service is prompt and friendly

The bistro is one of the few gems left in the city. I even bring my 4 year old here and they welcome him and his nonsense with open arms !

I had the Mexican ribs sauce was the same as I remember it from eons agoit was just ok, not earth-shattering. With the salad and pickles and olives and Garlic bread.

I order off Uber. Would have been a 5 but they changed the jalapeño poppers for whack pizza rolls in the pig out meal and no substitute. They dont allow you to just order jalapeño poppers you have to get fries with them. Now I just get double wings suicide and well done. Other then that food is delicious and well made. Bring original pig out back please . Update. Ive ordered over and over. None of my substitutions ex. Jalapeño poppers rather than pizza rolls ever happened. Which was whatever. Yet now, in the past 2 orders, Ive noticed they have changed the fries. From steak to normal fries. I am now all out. Too many changes to something that was so good. Only thing left is the wings. Bistro is a let down, not on my list anymore

Just discovered this little gem, which I was told was previously lower down on Avenue Road. Good bang for your buck with such attentive staff that you never have to keep looking over your shoulder. Abundance of parking.

Very comfortable pub atmosphere. Friendly and helpful service. Good selection of beers. I had a great prime rib beef burger. Parking: There are some free parking spots for small cars on the north side of the building. Also metered parking in Avenue Road.

Ive been a regular customer for decades for both eat-in and take out. Mainly ordering ribs and wings. I just tried the fried chicken, ordered on Uber. Best fried chicken Ive had in many years - and that includes all the major chicken chains and Chicas. Golden brown, very tasty and crispy, old school.

Went here for the first time in a party of five to watch the Leafs game last night. Wings and fries were fine, but the service was very strange. We had a waiter who was quick to serve us but wouldnt even wait to let us finish telling him our orders before he would speedwalk away, and we had to try multiple times to flag him down just to finish ordering our food. About 20-30min in, before we were done eating and had plans to order coffee and dessert, he came with our bills and insisted we pay. We did so but explained we still wanted to order more, and he got upset stating that they were out of cake and coffee(?) and he needed us to leave because he needed our table. Eventually a waitress came over and explained that there was a $35 minimum per person, and I guess the waiter was unimpressed and wanted us gone since we didnt meet the minimum, Im not clear on that part. When we explained that we werent informed of the minimum she was more understanding and she said we could stay and got our coffees and a dessert. Im only giving this place two stars instead of one because the waitress seemed genuinely nice. Besides that though we have no intention of returning here since the atmosphere was not welcoming at all.

The absolute worst experience in a sports bar! We were a table of 5 , ordering food and watching leafs game while there were other tables available. After 20 minutes the rude waiter brought the bill without us asking for it and said we need to leave because he needed the table??!!!?! We all wanted to order dessert but he said they don t have any of the items without even checking and sped off with attitude. Then the other waitress comes saying there is a minimum of $35 per person required! This was not indicated on the menu and nobody told us that at the beginning. Any other bar will inform you in advance if there s a cover fee for an event like pay per view, not a leafs game! They did eventually bring cold coffees and cakes after about 30 minutes. Average food, awful staff with disgusting behaviour.

I really love this place but last time I came the wings were very like crunchy and hard to bite into. Maybe they were just overdone that day but I brought my boyfriend here for the first time I was a little disappointed because I was raving about how amazing they do wings here. The fries and dipping sauce are still my absolute favourite thing ever, one time I stopped by just for fries and the bistro dill dipping sauce

Best wings in Toronto.

This place used to have the best wings and ribs in the city. The ribs were not well cooked the last two times I ordered from here. The fries was soggy as well and finally the pizza rolls didnt taste fresh at all. Sad to see the quality of the food gone down so significantly. The service however was amazing, as always. Hope they bounce back and get the quality they used to have in the place.

This place is great! The ribs taste like the sweat you get on your lower back. I also had the fries and happened to suddenly get the urge to submit a application to the gmhl. Great place will be coming back

Surprisingly The Bistro stayed open late for our Christmas party. They normally close at 11 which unfortunately for our group is a bit early. However, the wings were excellent as was the service this night and the beer was flowing.

Bistro used to be the place to go for wings in North Toronto. Officially, no more. Not only has the service declined, but the wings themselves are absolutely terrible now. Extremely dry, overcooked, old and their signature dill sauce has been watered down beyond recognition. I highly recommend looking for wings down south - and heading to Duffs or St Louis. P.S if I could give a 0 star - I would.

Every year I get my wings from bistro for Super Bowl and every year you guys exceed my expectations!! As soon as I arrived to the take out section the cashier was so friendly and my food was ready!! I have to say it, you guys have the best wings in town. Thank you very much from my family and friends!! Parking: Great parking at the back of the restaurant!!!

Not very welcoming, bad attitude. Edit: Owners response tells you all that you need to know, other comments here recently about the same thing..guess those were disregarded too. Clearly they dont accept responsibility for their mistakes, not someone you want handling food. Just look at their dinesafe reports, every report states there are reoccuring issues with cleanliness.

Unquestionably some of the best Chicken Wings in Toronto and a.great place to watch Jays/Leafs? Raptors or TFC. The Bistro is owned by Louis Nemes, the founder of St.Louis chicken wing mega-franchise ( Who now charge almost $30 for a large order of Wings), a generous and true pillar of the Uptown Toronto community. Now heres the best part, if you can get to the Bistro on Avenue Road, before Three Oclock P.M. on any day of the week, a large order of Chicken wings , cooked to perfection in over twenty different styles with almost as many sauces, can be bought for $20. Yes, twenty bucks and you can get them for take-away at that price as well. Comes with fries and the most Dillicious Ranch dipping sauce. ( Yep, same as St.Louis but a larger container serving). They have a nice selection of beers on tap, ( domestics and a few imports), and friendly bartenders and wait-staff well versed in the Best Tasting combinations of Beer & Chicken Wings. Large wings is now $26.95 , in 2023. ( Inflation sucks).

Saturday night at bistro with a group of 6 guys. service was extremely quick but I think they warmed up leftovers for us. The fries and onion rings seemed like they were fried yesterday and then warmed up in the fryer again. The dry rub wings were super dry. The sauced wings were very dry on the inside then sauced. The beer and coleslaw was delicious. I honestly think we were served leftovers. Any restaurant that does this to clients must be desperately hanging on. Sorry Bistro you lost us. Edited after owner reply. Don t be skeptical it s an honest feeling clients get. Im not big on sending food back. However You can certainly check with your kitchen but are they going to tell you yes boss we served old stuff to a table? Maybe. It was March 25 at approximately 9:30 PM a bunch of cole slaws, a Caesar salad, a bunch of fries, some wings, some coke, and a pitcher of beer. The biggest blessing to a business is when your clients tell you about an issue and you re able to fix it.

Great place for beer and wings.

They definitely have the best lemon pepper wings based on the vibrant seasoning they place on the wings and well-done cooking, so definitely check out the wings if youre interested. The food is pretty much affordable for anyone to go for a night out and it usually ranges between $10-30 depending on the specific item you want to purchase. Another good thing about the place is how they provide their own packaged dipping sauce container with the logo on the wrap and its a better approach based on the idea of sustainability and not making the plates or food messy in a sense. Would definitely recommend the place to anyone and I would definitely come back for sure.

This is my go to place if I want something in a rush. Always order thru Uber, and food delivered quick. Always love the fried chicken and fries. My son loved the dip as well. I have tried the pan fried pizza, and I must say, its really really good. My son and I love it so much!! Must try!!

We usually order wings, fries, boneless chicken nuggets and sweet potatoes. Food is delicious and flavourful. Delivery is always on time.

The staff are some of the most pleasant people Ive ever met and the service was excellent. The food was exactly what I was expecting and tasted great! Definately a great place to get wings which is their specialty. Wings come in many flavours including dry-rub. Conveniently located in the neighbourhood and accessible from anywhere you may be traveling from in Toronto.

Very good service and very good food

Overall a respectable amount of food for the price. The pig out combo: 30$ for a basket of fries, chicken fingers , poppers(2) and pizza roll(2), wings and a few sauces. Its seriously hard to beat that value these days, I am impressed. Everything was good, but I wish there was at least another popper and roll to be called a generous portion. Feeds 2 people fine. Parking: Can pickup your pickup order if you park at the gas station.

Wings were so so bad, weren t warm when they arrived, they tasted a little funky like they ve been sitting around a while and were reheated in the microwave. Barely any sauce on the wings and the fries were like cardboard. Never ordering from here again.

Hot wings, delicious soup & great service, Loved it from here to moon and back Food

We ordered soup and mains. The mains were brought out immediately after we started the soup. My wife ordered the prime rib burger - it came with no toppings. The Jewish chicken soup had a very good broth but noodles, a matzoh ball or kreplach in it would have made it better.

Gnawing wings and ribs on his stones. You can take a basket of 50 wings in 2 different flavors, but even when we asked for 3 - they happily agreed. We also took chips and salad - everything, including everything - was very tasty and worth the equal price. Cajun Dry Rub is especially recommended. Parking: Parking next to the back of the restaurant (on the right). Kid-friendliness: There are dishes more aimed at children such as chicken bites.

Me and my boyfriend dine in here quite often and they have the best wings and fries ever! I would high recommend eating here!

Wings were overdone

We went there as an alternative to Duffs wings on Bayview, which has been looking a little tired of late. The Bistro On Avenue Road has a nice clean interior and a simple menu. We went on a Tuesday and discovered there were no specials according to our server. Maybe we are used to Duffs 2 for 1 Tuesday wing specials... but at $17 for 10 wings with fries and a prepackaged ounce of ranch dip, no choice of blue cheese dip!!, ...and no celery or carrots, it was disappointing. The wings however were good, meaty and well spiced. Two identical dinners for two with domestic draught beers plus tax/tip came to $66; a little expensive for wings and beers!

I was meeting a bunch of friends here and it was my first time to this establishment. The atmosphere is nice and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. The service is pretty good and the food is really good. If youre in the area and would like to enjoy a good tasting sandwich, I would definitely recommend this place. They do have other foods as well, its just that Im rating my experience on my meal and visit.

I had food delivered through Uber and received totally burned food I called and the person who answered told me to call Uber he said they dont take care of it. I guess they dont take responsibility for sending out burned food bu its Uber fault for delivering it. This is just a cop out. Fortunately Uber is integral and refunded my money. Thank you. I will never recommend this restaurant ever they did however deliver their ignorance and arrogance let alone their mockery of my having the nerve to even call them. Too bad because it used to be a good restaurant. I used to bring my children growing up.

Best wings in the city!

Ordered a week in advance for the Super Bowl for a specific time. Showed up, waited 45 minutes outside in the freezing cold to actually get inside to pay for my order. A system should have been in place for a busy day like this, where payment was taken in advance, or they could actually schedule only a certain amount of people per time slot to have orders ready. When I politely mentioned that to the attendant, I got a rude response back as if I was somehow in the wrong for making a suggestion. Worse than any of this, the order was absolutely awful. The fries tasted like actual paper and the wings were absolutely not edible. It tasted like they were sitting out for hours. I even tried to reheat in the oven to no success. My entire $70 order went in the garbage. Shameful.

What s happened to your Caesar salad? Wings are still good, but I ve always enjoyed coming to your establishment because of your Cesar salad and wings. Last few times salad was blah at best. No CRA sar salad dressing flavour. Largely romaine with a bit of Parmesan and what looks like store bought croutons.no bacon bits at all, but I m not sure you ever had bacon. Just tastes bland. Add some dressing will have!!! Miss that Caesar salad!!

There is a new deli in town and its fantastic! The bistro on avenue is now serving deli along with their amazing wings. Strongly recommend!!

Just had an amazing lunch from Sterns Deli (which is inside Bistro). Everything was fresh, delicious, well spiced and seasoned, with huge portions. The smoked meat was cut perfectly, just the right amount of fat, bread was perfect, fries addictive. Highly recommended

Ive never had a bad meal, either at the Bistro or doing take out. The wings are delicious and the dill sauce is excellent. After the Superbowl issue - which was not pleasant, to be sure - I gave them a heads up on my next order and they were incredibly gracious to compensate.

Rediscovered an old favourite tonight. Great wings, hot just the right amount of spice. Generous thick cut fries and rings, crisp and perfect. Easy fast pickup with parking behind. Thank you!

I ordered through the uber eats app and I got chicken fingers and fries. They tasted great and the portions were bigger than expected. Definitely recommended!

Service was satisfactory even if the waitress had attitude about us making choices for our wings and beers. Pub atmosphere, fries were good, wings were dry.

This has been a family favourite since before I was even born. The staff are super friendly and the environment is amazing for any occasion! I keep going at least once a month!

Wings are ok. Beer is ok. It s the original St. Louis and better than the average St. Louis which I don t think are that great but it s a nice atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Fries and dill dip are superb as you may already know. Wings are generally small and dry.

My go to wing place in the area. The Cajun boneless wings are my go to... super yummy and full of flavours. Quite expensive but also very filling. Make sure to ask for extra dipping sauce! 100% recommend

Lots of expectations , big letdown. Not even close to St Louis wings. Wings too dry, hot sauce waaaay too salty and service mediocre at best . On the good side the Friday special was huge, lots of food , but one of the worst wings I had in the long time .

Huge letdown. Didn t expect to get the best wing, but was hoping for really good wings. Wings were too dry and not meaty enough. The fries were really good though, if you re craving for fries.

Ive only ever eaten wings here so I cant comment on any other menu items. But I can say with certainty that they are my favourite wings anywhere. I order medium and they come crispy and delicious. I suppose there are other sauces that are good, or more or less heat, but once I found what works for me Ill stick with it. As with everything else these days prices have continued to increase but its still well worth the cost. Service is good and new location is roomier and more comfortable than the place farther south.

Do NOT order food from here! My girlfriend and I order on SkipTheDishes. Chicken Parm sandwich is literally 4x2 inches (yes I measured.. it was soo small I legit measured it) Fries are McCann thick cut frozen fries... Perhaps the experience is good for drinks or something.. food is absolutely worst Ive ever purchased.

I didnt believe it until it was too late. After reading the reviews I still went ahead and ordered burgers and brisket from Skip the Dishes. I could only tell that I threw the fries out after eating a couple. The burger was probably the worst I had tasted so far and the brisket was awful. The bun was dry, the fries tastes like cardboard... Dont waste your money. I had to go and make myself some eggs after...
