Fantastic Sunday Dinner. Great value, the beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, large variety of roast veg, gravy and Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert were all excellent. The staff were welcoming and attentive! We will be back.

Would not recommend the eggs benedict, given that the potatoes were under salted. I was expecting more given the price. The pizzas were tasty but a bit soggy in the middle (likely due to all the cherry tomatoes being put in the center). The sourdough crust was good, but very thin. They have a huge wine and alcohol selection. Not recommended: eggs benedict

Service was friendly and fast. The portions of both the appetizer and main were generous and delicious. Of particular note was the bread and shishito peppers. Their cocktail list is charming, and the Clover Club was delicious.

Great spot with the patio open now. The pizza was great — the Roasted Eggplant and Ricotta Salata. Only disappointment is the limited meat options for pizzas. It’s either a pork option or a vegetarian one. Would like something with beef or chicken as well. Service was great. Friendly server. Went for lunch.

The rainbow trout was burnt with a strong burning smell inside the restaurant. Server Tom tried to compensate by bringing me two different orange flavoured drinks without asking what I'd like. If he had asked, I'd say how much I dislike oranges and orange garnish. Misguided customer service. But I appreciate the partial discount. Their Black Manhattan was very strong -- cocktails seem like a strong point.

They have the best Hawaiian pizza I've ever had. The crust is crisp but super easy to chew, the sauce is perfectly tangy with a tiny bit of sweetness, the pineapple still has a slight crunch, the chili adds a slight kick without overpowering the other ingredients, and the bacon.. the bacon is juicy, not too salty, there's tons of it, and the smokiness really comes through. One criticism, they use sourdough as a base but I didn't really get any sourdough flavor, perhaps the toppings were too intense and I'd be able to pick up on it with a margherita or marinara pizza, not sure. The iced latte is also one of the better ones I've had, well balanced and very light for only $4! Forget about coffee shops just go here instead. The server is cool, seems like she'd be fun to hang out with.

Charming spot! We came for brunch and enjoyed our time. All of us ordered the trout eggs Benedict which was delicious, but the yolks were a bit over cooked. Service was really nice, but slow. The interior is really beautiful and comfortable. Will definitely come back if in the Junction but likely for drinks or dinner service!

Great food, breads are a delicious homemade sourdough, my appetizer was trout carripatchio and for a main chanterelle pizza. The kitchen was making me happy. Even though theres a full bar I had the El Diablo mocktail and it hit the spot. Great service, attentive and not hovering. Décor is a great blend of tin roof and dark wood.

It is utterly disappointing to go to a restaurant where staff engage with customers as though they are inconvenienced by their very presence. One should expect to dine out and either leave feeling neutral or good about your experience, not worse. I came with my two kids and partner , we were shuffled into the back corner of the restaurant. It seems like all of the bipoc folks were seated far into the back near the kitchen. Both servers seem insulted that we had the audacity to be in their presence, which was indicated by glaring looks, not answering questions and a lack of communication. I dont expect much from servers, but hostility towards people trying to have a nice time out is unacceptable. We considered leaving right after ordering as our interaction with the server was that awkward, but we decided to just make the best of it. The food was decent, but the service was appalling and overshadowed the food. There are many restaurants in the area that have staff who care about creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. If you like being served by miserable humans, then this is the place for you

I used to love this place. I brought alot of people here to eat and drink, but one day the waitress just turned into a rude server. And this happened 3 different times. One instance in particular - we sat down for a drink. The drinks menu usually has a draft beer list, it wasnt there. We like to see if there is anything interesting to try. We asked about it and she just said well what kind of beer do you like. Taken aback my friend just reacted with Im not sure. Then she said you dont know what beer you like? We let it go but what a jerk. So now I dont take people there anymore, and I dont love it anymore.

Sooo, just left Bothams restaurant. Food was actually very good except we had to leave both our meals behind as we kept looking at two mice running free in the restaurant as we were eating. Brought it to the staffs attention and they didn t seem phased or concerned by it at all. Will never step foot in this place again, I understand there are mice everywhere but to see them playing around freely inside the restaurant as I m eating food is just different in every level. What s most concerning was the staffs reaction or lack thereof, seemed to be a very regular occurrence.

We really enjoy this place. It looks really nice on the inside. You get very good value for the food, as they serve some unique options for reasonable prices. There are a good amount of vegetarian options as well. Service is always great and staff are friendly. Thank you! Vegetarian options: I had the Porcini in a hole, which is their vegetarian version of the Toad in the hole. The serving was large and was a unique dish to find in the city. I have also tried the Brussel sprout salad which is filling and made with shaved cabbage and apricots.

Bothams is a local Junction restaurant that shares a kitchen with the Hole in the Wall (. a very cute place). The Club Sandwich is good and I typically order that. The menu is heavy for spring/summer. The sandwich is on lovely, thick and crusty bread. Has a nice spread and great pieces of chicken and bacon. I switched the fries for a kale caesar. I liked the dressing and croutons. The kale was good except they should cut off the stems. They were impossible to eat, kept on getting stuck in my throat. Very annoying. Why would you not de-stem this? I dont recommend this salad for this reason. Nice wines but pricey at $15/glass. It annoys me when the machine offers an 18% tip that is calculated on the total inc tax. Big no no. I had calculated 15% tip as that is what the service was worth and would have been about $6. 18% inc tax is $8 which is more like 20%. That is deceptive. So I dont like that.

Got the pepperoni and the eggplant pizzas as takeout. They were pretty good for the money. What I was shocked by was the lack of service at this place. One of the servers acknowledged me after a couple of minutes of waiting but 2 guys were literally waiting to be seated for at least 10 minutes and neither of the servers said a word to them even though they were walking right past them. Finally one of the guys had to ask the server where they could sit. Sad thing is this type of service is not unique to this place in Toronto.

December 22, 2023

I am sure that for lunch and pizza, this place is great. But for brunch, Id look elsewhere. We were disappointed. Only a few brunch items on the menu, no decaf coffee option, no salt and pepper (including when requested), no maple syrup, no alternative sweeteners for hot drinks. In addition the salad can barely be called that. It is a bowl of bitter greens with a few pickled onions. Staff seemed tired and distracted, and 3 times, went off to see if we have that but didnt come back to report. Even butter was hard to get, and there was no jam/marmalade to go with the amazing sourdough toast. The eggs were fine, the bacon was fine, the potatoes were fine. But the effort was weak, and it just seemed very much like breakfast items are not a priority here.

We went to try the doughnuts and they were quite good. $9 for two. We tried the Boston cream and the vanilla with strawberry jelly - the Boston cream was the real winner. Both were very airy with fluffy dough and not overly sweet. The place is darker and has a cozy atmosphere that is right up my alley. Lots of nice wood. The service ... wasnt great and the woman who served us was borderline rude. She was curt and obviously very tired. I get it, but when customer service is your job you have to check yourself.

Although the establishment was empty. Under the excuse of limited tables, they refused to accommodate a pregnant person on third trimester, after explaining that the chairs on the 2 person table are to tight and uncomfortable. Shockingly rude service. Called to ask if the restaurant was hiring (2:00 pm, which is reasonably near the end of lunch) to which the server responded Heres a hot tip. If you want a job in a restaurant, you need to bring in your resume. You wont get a job this way. Dont call during lunch. and promptly hung up on me. Ive worked in this industry for a number of years, and I would never speak to anyone that way regardless of the amount of pressure or stress I was under. I have to question your ability as a server if you cant be nice to someone for 10 seconds on the phone. You wasted more time with your hot tip than if you had politely answered the question. Also: I know that I wont get a job on the phone. Dont assume that the person youre talking to is as stupid as you are insolent. Its good to know that the servers are as rude as this place appears pretentious. I would seriously caution anyone against working or visiting here. And to the owners: it might not be a bad idea to hire servers with an ounce of professionalism or kindness.

Bothams immediately had their Chef Diego make me a brand new one and even hand delivered it to my building! I must say that they re amazing to try and authentic given that they re a junction must! I have to give Diego a personal thanks for being so kind and coming over to deliver this. I will definitely pickup in the future and not use Uber Eats. To anyone living in the junction, definitely try Botham s! I will definitely come back and I also wanted to mention the taste of sourdough in the pizza is excellent! We discovered Bothams during the lockdown since we are new to the hood. We notice the donuts and bread in the window first, and after sampling some donuts were hooked. Then we had some of their pizza - which we think is delicious. The crust is chewy and especially tasty - no crust will go uneaten. It has been inspiring to see how businesses have innovated to survive the lockdown - it must be tough. Bothams have been helping us through all this with their great food, we hope our patronage has helped them a little. We look forward to having a sit down meal here - but in the meantime well be having some more of that amazing pizza!

We love Bothams! So thankful for this local gem that has helped me avoid cooking any major holiday meals for my family of three over the last year of quarantine. Most recently we enjoyed a delicious Easter feast of sirloin, Yorkshire pudding, roasted vegetables, potatoes, gravy & bread pudding. It was a hit. I would be amiss not to mention that they have an amazing bottle shop, sourdough bread, bagels, and beautiful gourmet donuts available. Definitely worth a visit!

Soon after The Junction became our home, Botham s became a steady presence in our lives. While lockdown restrictions limit their ability to deliver on their full potential, we can say for certain that they ve made the pivot and are killing it nonetheless. The Sunday roast beef special is absolutely to-die-for. Generous servings of succulent, tender medium-rare roast beef accompanied by a killer Yorkshire pudding, insanely delicious roasted potatoes, three kinds of roasted veggies and an absolutely off-the-charts wine gravy (and always a surprise dessert) make this a steal of a deal at $60 (+HST). It s worth noting that the roasted potatoes were some of the best we ve EVER had. They had this insanely crispy texture to them that was oh so very addictive. We re considering ordering just the potatoes and eating a whole tray. This has us very curious about their Saturday fire roasted chicken dinner for $45. We ve not had it yet, but we re gonna - and we know it s gonna be great! Their wood-fired sourdough crust pizzas are some of the best we ve had in Toronto. Great sauce, high quality toppings and a perfectly fired sourdough crust keep us coming back for more. And the two for $25 special Mondays - Wednesdays always makes us feel like we ve committed theft whenever we take those home! Because we re trying to control ourselves these days we always have leftover pizza for breakfast, and it s equally delicious the next day (either at room temperature or gently warmed over). The pepperoni pizza has superb meat and cheese. Their Arugula and Cherry Tomato pizza with sundried tomatoes is amazingly fresh tasting and perfect for a Spring/Summer mid-day meal. On top of these hot dinner options they have a well stocked, creatively curated and reasonably priced market. We ve tried a number of the products and everything has been first rate. Some highlights include: pre-prepared frozen pizza that s ready to eat after 15 minutes in a 450F oven - way better than anything we ve gotten from a grocery market; superb beef broth; delicious hickory smoked BBQ sauce - we love it on chicken and ribs ; potted cheese (OMG!!) - great on a bagel; and, frozen cookie dough (OMG x 2!). Throw in a small but really well thought out bottle shop - and delicious pre-mixed cocktails (get the Negroni - trust us on this one) - and you have everything you need to help lift the lockdown blues. Oh, we just about forgot: to top it all off they make absolutely first rate, wood-fired sourdough bread, and scrumpdillyicious baked goodies like doughnuts (including doughnut holes!) and cinnamon buns. What more could you ask for?

Amazing doughnuts, pizzas, and frozen meals. What more does one need during a pandemic when were all tired of cooking? Grab some good food here, you wont regret it!

Evidently a much loved neighborhood institution with the windows full of fresh baked goods (donuts and pastries and breads) and inside converted to a bottle shop and prepared foods commissary. The inside bar space is beautiful and post pandemic would be a lovely location to while away an evening. We ate on the street patio (shaded side of street ) amid the bustle of Keele and Dundas West, and enjoyed some Collective Arts spritzes, a home made gnocchi and fish and chips. The gnocchi was flavorful and well seasoned, the fish and chips a bit of a let down, (bland, fish a bit sodden)and probably aren t the kitchen strong point. However I can visually confirm pizzas are their forté and I ll definitely go for that next time. I ll add THITWB to my address list of places to go back to while in the Junction. And you should too.

Bothams is owned by brothers Jack and Ben Wilkinson, who both live in the Junction. So it was a natural place for the hospitality industry brothers to look when they wanted to open a place of their own. They started by opening a bar The Hole in the Wall T.O., in October 2012 and it quickly became a neighbourhood favourite. When the space next door to the bar became available, they got the idea of taking over and turning it into a restaurant - and we re glad that they did! In the past, Ben and Jack worked in more upscale dining environments that had rigid rules around service. But the Wilkinsons envisioned creating the type of place that you could visit wearing jeans and a t-shirt (with the servers similarly dressed-down!) and still get an excellent meal. They opened just six weeks before Covid hit. Botham s, like many eateries, did a pandemic pivot. The storefront, baking and the donuts are a function of the lockdown and having to adjust our business plans, Ben explains. The wood-fired oven is definitely a draw of Botham s. It adds a nice touch of smoky char to their sourdough pizzas. I had the bacon pizza and it was delicious! It came topped with Mozzarella, organic Bianco Di Napoli tomatoes, bacon, pineapple, cherry tomatoes, chilis and fresh basil. The pizza had the perfect amount of cheese and sauce and a really satisfying chewiness to the crust. We had a spirited conversation about the culinary brilliance that is pineapple as a pizza topping. It s clear what side of that debate we come down on, pineapple on the pizza for the win! They also bake up loaves of sourdough bread and Montreal-style bagels in their wood-fire oven. And I am a big fan of both! Oh and the donuts, you gotta go try the donuts!

Friendly staff but food was quite average. Margherita pizza came with a ton of rapini and capers on top so was quite bitter to the taste. Very odd as these ingredients were not mentioned in the menu description and are not typical on a margherita pizza.

One of my favourite places on the west side and i am so happy they re part of the junction constantly improving food/ drink roster. Friendly staff and you must try the donuts. Best chocolate donuts I ve ever had! They only make so many so get them early. Pizzas are great. Fries was bit burnt the couple of times I was there. Will definitely go back without the kids so we can try more of their 30 beers on tap.

Had a lovely time here. Thank you! Great selection of local beers on tap. The mushy peas could do with a new name; they were tasty, but nothing like true mushy peas. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Amazing spot! This place is from the good people who brought you Hole in the Wall, so you know their street cred is on point. Similar style visually to the Hole but on a much larger scale. They have these cool little alcoves right by the front windows that are cozy as hell! At the back is an amazing open view of the kitchen and a massive pizza oven. Just like the Hole, there are plenty of great food and drink options but I need to make special mention of the pizza. The pizza is the real deal. Right there in style and quality as the big names like Libretto and Defina. Trust me, you re going to want to make this your pizza place. I absolutely will be back!

Best Pork chop in Hogtown. Toronto style service though. Poorly written wine profiles that confuses amateurs though the choice is amazing. Go for Le Torri Rosso Piceno with Pork and steaks. Limited choice of desserts, both were chocolate based. A half star should be dinged for Espresso machine not working, actually pure laziness. Iron out the service and communication and this will be a great place to dine.
