Delicious stick to your ribs barbeque. The staff were super helpful with helping me choose gluten free options and many things on the menu were able to be made gluten free. Perfect portion sizes, I had the brisket plate and my mom had the beef stew and we both left feeling happy and full.

I had the pleasure of experiencing Breakwall last Friday before attending a show at History nearby, and wow was I amazed! We tried the smaller meat platter, and can t even begin to explain the level of satisfaction and joy not to mention the service was out of this world amazing. I will be making it a point of coming back and introducing Breakwall to more people to try the larger meat platter, and have already been telling friends and family about our amazing experience. A special thanks to our server for making the experience extra special, she really helped to make our visit that much more memorable.

Much better than your average pub food, maybe the best wings around (smokes wings!). Kid-friendliness: Its the right kind of loud in there in the evening that you dont have to worry about your own kids making noise. Also, substantial kids meals for $12 with drink and dessert.

Ive been going to breakwall for years. They have the best wings in town and the service is top notch. I love this place. The food is alway amazing and consistent. The owner is in the kitchen quite often ( from what Ive seen) and I think that speaks for itself.

Passed by on Halloween night. With the perfect patio temperatures, we were able to watch the Trick or Treat kids, and enjoy some beers! The newly introduced Happy Hour menu was perfect! Calamari was delicious. Our server was so nice! She made a good evening even better! Will return if in the area!

Awesome service and amazing food. This place is a must visit in the beaches. The food was so fresh and the portions were more than we could eat. The staff were more than happy to provide a takeaway container.

Busy neighbourhood spot on Friday evening! Visited with friends before a concert. Service was relaxed. We shared the BBQ platter, salad and wings. Was happy to see pitcher cocktails on the menu! We split rum punch and mojitos. A few too many tvs around for my taste, but would return if Im in the area and looking for a casual meal.

The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful to boot!! We were a party of five and we ordered the Big Boy Sampler and Calamari. Plenty leftover to take home. Will definitely go there again even though it s in The Beaches and I live in Etobicoke. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 outta 5 stars is because of mobility issues. There are several stairs to get into the restaurant and the washrooms are ( like in a lot of Toronto restaurants/bars ) down a steep narrow set of stairs. Parking: I didn t have an issue finding parking but it was lunchtime Sunday. Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs to get into the restaurant and the washrooms are in the basement.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the BBQ! So much more than a typical pub. The small sharing platter was much bigger than we expected. Kid-friendliness: My kids really enjoyed this place.

Yesterday was my first visit, and I have to say this place is a hidden gem. The food was incredible and very affordable, and the staff, especially the owner, were extremely friendly. Ive definitely found a new favorite spot and will be a regular customer from now on.

I had the Brisket, and it was great but... Sadly, the last two times, the ribs were undercooked. I like the meat to fall off the bone. These did not and were pink close to the bone. Was there on a Monday night with a great special, but a drink, wings are $12. It was a great deal. The place was busy but we reserved ahead of time and got right in. The wings and burger were delicious.

Please go here if you re in the area such good barbecue. You can tell they are patient when making it because nothing is dry and everything if flavourful. Friendly staff too which is always nice. A great place in a great area !!

Excellent restaurant and very good evening at Breakwall BBQ & Smokehouse. Possibility of eating outside but places are in demand. Fast, friendly and very dynamic service (thanks to Georgia). The plates are very well stocked and the meats are all excellent, especially the beef brisket and pulled pork (a pure delight). Reasonable addition considering the quality of the whole.

Unfortunately, the ribs were disappointing. Dry and tasteless. The pulled pork tasted good, as well as fries and coleslaw.

Careful walking by here with your dog. A dog tonight jumped at my ankles and my dogs face when walking by for no reason out of nowhere. Its your responsibility as a owner to realize if your dog is reactive to not have them so open to an incident happening at a high traffic sidewalk patio. I told the staff and they didn t care even though they said these are regulars. Danger to pedestrians and disgusting customer service on the phone. And their food smells sickening and over greased every time i pass by.

Me and a group of 6 friends went in for a graduation get together the staff where super kind pervided us with free drinks and where super chill to split a inten bill in half for me and my friend who shared, the food was delicious and at the end our server gave us free ice cream I would 100% recommend this to apsoultu recommend this to anyone! Vegetarian options: One of my friends who came with us is a veteran and said it was the best veggie burger he has ever had! Kid-friendliness: The group of us where all 14 and staff where super helpful with any questions!

I have tried a lot of the things on the menu and theyre all good so its hard to pick a favorite. Whether its the smoked meats platters, ribs, sandwiches, wraps or brisket . Casual, yet 5star food

Food and service is decent but not great, mainly because of the lack of value versus taste. Had the Indecisive Sampler and an order of the Smoked Wings. I would go back for the sampler again, but would not order the Wings or suggest anyone bother with this item. I paid $20 for 7 wings !! Yes, 7 small wings plus a couple of carrot sticks and celery. Simply ridiculous pricing. Really gouging the customer and leaving them with a bad experience. Not sure what they are thinking charging this much. Any other place would give you at least a pound of wings, if not more. Was not that tasty even, at least the Sampler was a bit better.

These guys know how to make food. I had the beef brisket sandwich with the cremin mushrooms, had the horse radish aioli with the pickles and greens on a crispy bread. It knocked my socks off. They threw in some baked beans for the charge of an extra 1 dollar which is weird. Those beans were banging. The mrs didnt like those beans later on in the evening but thats life. To start I had the calmari and it was crispy and fresh. I even tried some of my friends mussels and they were banging as well. The vibe is cool too. Families, dates, local drunks, gays, etc. Good vibe. This is a true beach gem. Whoever the chef is, pay him more.

Good patio vibes and good food. Unfortunately, the coconut margarita cocktail was nothing like the name at all, and got unnecessarily charged for a shot we did not even want and just expected a little coconut flavor and not more alcohol. After our bill being over $350 sadly the drink was not fixed. Just a note - no vegan options on the menu. Find parking is a task, so if you do plan to come, be prepared accordingly.

Great for some local smoked BBQ before a show at History. About 8-10min walk to the venue. We had an outdoor patio seat closer to the road, it is well camouflaged so you dont feel as though you are sitting in the street. Service is top notch and the food and drink came out fast. I had there Oysywr special, I know, not bbq. But it was delish and did not disappoint. The creamy sauce wa perfect for dipping bread in too! The washroom is located down narrow stairs so may not be accessible to those with mobility limitations. Overall great spot! They get busy, so make reservations or come early.

Nice place, a bit small, and a tight squeeze if going to the bathroom ( down in the basement). I love the food. I really recommend the indecisive sampler if you dont know what to get. Or you can get something with pull pork. Their pull pork was delicious. The servers were a bit distracted.

Had a fantastic evening at Breakwall. It was our ten year anniversary, so we called ahead for extra accommodation. Despite it being last minute, they sorted us out and made sure that we had everything we needed. We asked for a private seat outside and we had a beautiful patio table. Kudos to the staff for taking care of us on a whim. And they did. We ordered a few courses. The Mussels were delicious. The Penne pasta was to die for. The Brisket plate was possibly the best barbecue you can get in the city of Toronto... And the drinks? Yes, yes and more yes! Cheers to Breakwall!! We will be back. Thx G, G, and the rest!!!

The ribs were dry, the fries were soggy, and the worst part was the service. Basically its run by a bunch of entitled teenagers who have no idea about customer service.

We reserved a table for my brother s birthday on a Saturday night of a long weekend. I thought we would have to wait a bit for our table but it was already ready when we got there which was really nice! The side walk patio was really cozy, could barely tell we were right beside traffic. The server was really great, I think his name was Kyle. Checked up on us multiple times even through a really busy shift. We shared the platter which was enough for four people, and everything was delicious! Cooked really well with great sauces and sides. Haven t stopped recommending this place to our friends since we visited, and will definitely go again!

Highly recommend going on a Wednesday for their pasta specials. The portion size has got a bit smaller and smaller over the years but it is inflation I guess.

This place is so good that we went back a 2nd time during our stay in Toronto. Food was amazing and big portions. Incredible food and service! We did the BBQ sharing plate hulked up version. Everything was delicious. Its a good amount of food for 4 people.

He assured us that our experience was a one-off and he would speak with the manager. I will still leave the below review for those looking to book a large reservation, make sure you request indoor seating if the weather is unpredictable. Thank you to the owner of Breakwall for connecting with us and easing our frustrations about the situation. Original: I had a disappointing experience at breakwall. Despite having a reservation for indoor seating, we were refused entry inside even though they openly admitted there was seating upstairs and it was raining outside. We were told the rain would blow over and it definitely did not. The manager was unaccommodating and unhelpful even though the waitresses were trying to convince her to seat us inside, leaving us to endure the rain. This lack of consideration for their customers comfort and the disregard for our reservation was unacceptable.

Good BBQ on Queen Street in the Beaches

Great BBQ platters.

Ordered a platter for the table and a sandwich for myself. The smoked meats are so incredibly tasty, I ended up mooching off the platter! There was so much food we had lunch for the next day as well. Our server was also awesome. Quick and attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and was sympathetic when some of our party got held up in traffic. We will definitely be returning.

Yummy! Great little place, big portions, friendly service. Seems to be frequented by locals. Next to Woodbine, so just at the start of the busy Queen stretch. We had mussels for starter - they were on special - and those were absolutely delicious. I could have eaten that garlicy cream sauce on its own! For mains, we got a plate of brisket and a plate of pulled pork, both with sweet potatoes. Both portions were big (Id say there was considerably more pulled pork than the brisket), and came with some pickles and two huge pieces of heavily buttered garlic bread. We were worried the portions might be small(er), but ended up taking leftovers home. Definitely recommend when youre in a mood for a big, hearty delicious smoked meat meal! Definitely wouldnt go there for like pasta or salad.

The brisket is pretty good - youd have to go a lot farther to get a better brisket than this (though they certainly exist) - that brisket sandwich though, its really elevated. The caramelized onions, the sauce, the mushrooms... Its a really well balanced sandwich. Definitely a contender for top 10 sandwiches in the city. Its not a sandwich Id eat everyday, but Id go out of my way for it.

I give a 2.5 star rating... In 2018 until these past two years, 5 stars... ...today I cant even understand what happened, this seems to be the norm in the area and a sad decline in decent restaurants. Absolutely delicious place! Mussels in cream sauce are perfect I lived in Mediterranean countries for a long time and I know how should good mussels taste and it was huge surprise to find such a good place with an excellent service, fare prices and delicious food . Strongly recommended

Got the indecisive platter to take out. I ordered at the bar and was home in 25 minutes. It was all very dry. Like the sausage was so hard we couldnt fork it dry/hard. Ribs were sad and dry and the brisket was dry except for the fat. The pulled pork was ok, but thats hard to mess up. Based on the reviews I suspect they server the old dry stuff to take out so they dont have to deal with comments like this in person. Super sad. The servers were nice.

I didnt find that their idea of smokehouse cooking was in keeping with my experience and expectations. I had a roast beef dip sandwich. The beef offered was shredded beef, I guess. Not what I was expecting. Other guy had pulled pork entree. Just a pile of shredded pork, I guess. My point being there was no real care with regard to the preparation and presentation. A proper smoke house offering should be slab meat cooked to pull apart tenderness. Or sometimes more firm but juicy. Not stewed in a bbq sauce till basically strings. Im not suggesting that the meat wasnt smoked, but I live close by and have never had the impression that there is any smoking taking place on site. The side of fries were most certainly frozen and straight from a bag. Too bad. Little things make a difference. Two other dinners ordered chicken salads. The chicken was recognisable as chicken, but not smoked according to them. Just drop the smokehouse tag. Average fast food joint with a liquor license. Wheelchair accessibility: I doubt a person with mobility issues would dine here.

Went here to celebrate Mother s Day with my mom. Food was amazing, we were in the mood for bbq after going for a walk and happened upon Breakwall BBQ and it didn t disappoint! We got the smaller sampler and it was easily enough food for 3 people. They even gave my mom some flowers for Mother s Day

Stopped by last week just looking for a place to eat. The mussels, the calamari, the BC poutine and our server made it that much more cant wait to get back!!! Update: went back after a at least six months and the server Emily remembered us AND hooked us up with the mussels we love so much. Met Shane the owner/chef who was so welcoming. Love this place!!

The atmosphere is pleasant and the service was great. 5 of us split a hulked up big boy platter and it was delicious. A couple people in our party are not big eaters, so we werent able to finish it all. I could eat the smoked brisket everyday, its hauntingly delicious.

I must have ordered the least popular items on my Ffrst time visit. But, not impress after seeing the high reviews by others. Order the Baked Brie which was underwhelming with minimal fruits or flavour . The server was great however. Will probably not return and try a lower star restaurant next time.

Even better than TERRY BLACK S! Having just come back from touring around Texas and trying their famous bbq scene, we couldn t help but come on here and tell you our thoughts. Austin/Fort Worth/Dallas can take a few pointers from Toronto and Shane s bbq/smokehouse talents. We found even after following the masses to Terry Black s famous bbq, that none of them could compete with Breakwall. The brisket at Breakwall is second to none. Actually, everything we have ever ordered has been perfectly, melt in your mouth delicious. In addition, the bartenders and wait staff make you feel like family from the minute you walk in the door. Been here a few times now and breakwall never disappoints. Great food, smoked wings are massive and incredibly flavoured. Nachos are the best in the beaches. Drinks are great with lots of daily specials. Beef ribs are delicious, when theyre available! And service is absolutely on top of it, super attentive and friendly. Great for small or large groups. Summertime gets really busy with a nice front patio. I think they take call-in reservations as well.

This was mine and my daughters first time ever going to the Beaches and we chose to make reservations at this restaurant and we are so thrilled that we did. The food was AMAZING, for such a down to earth feel good place it was amazing to have food that was at this level. We had the sleazy bread and the baked brie for starters and wow, both were delicious but what a very unique bread that was soooo amazing and tasty but somehow never greasy or heavy! Then we both enjoyed the most amazing unique cobb salad with an amazing mango dressing and fresh avocado that we already want to return ASAP. On top of all this great food and feel good down to earth surroundings, the staff were ALL so cheerful and wonderful. On what had been very unexpected hot day for February they were swamped and all still smiling and accommodating everyone as fast as they could. Our server Teja was such a delight, she was fast, efficient, and so friendly and cheerful we didnt want to leave. Although we were stuffed we ordered 2 cheesecake to go and they were enjoyed by our entire family when we returned home. Absolutely delicious! We cant wait to bring the rest of our family to this treasure!

Deliciousness maxed!

The food was great and our server was helpful with our dinner service, but the restaurant was absolutely freezing to the point where our coats had to stay on the entire time and my feet were numb in my boots. We asked multiple times if we could move a heater over and were told no, but that it would warm up with more bodies. It did not, in fact, get any warmer. Quite disappointed after seeing all the positive reviews.

The food and the service was amazing. My only negatives are the washroom stalls are the smallest stalls Ive ever seen in my life, I could barely turn around. As well as the seating area upstairs was freezing. Most people had their Jackets on as if we were dining on a patio in winter. It was almost unbearable.

Server was amazing, she had a great attitude.

Amazing food! My favourite BBQ in the east end. Cool atmosphere, amazing menu, great drinks! Highly recommend! (Although they could use a few more side items in my opinion).

A great place for great food (the BBQ is incredible) and a good time. The only downside are the overserved youngsters who frequently vomit on the sidewalk.

One of my favourite places to grab a hearty, delicious meal in The Beaches. Haven t had a bad dish at this place, everything is so good! Brisket sandwich & platter, wings, and pulled pork are awesome. Also love their baked beans!

Indecisive sampler is a great option for when you want meat, any meat really. Juicy and delicious, nice salad on the side, good size portion. My take out lasted me for a couple of meals without adding any sides.

This is a great establishment to eat great pub fare. Excellent space for watching sports. Also, they have a deal where leafs and raptors games get a small pitcher of beer and wings for 25 dollars. That is quite the steal. I could have used a longer cook on the smoked wings but nonetheless it didnt take away from the experience. Definitely a must try.

Stumbled onto this spot while on our way to a concert. Couldnt be more happy with the BBQ options we had!

This is a great spot for BBQ food tucked in on Queen St. The pulled pork sandwich and tenderloin tacos came in generous portions with fries and were delicious!

We got the Big Boy Platter, and it was pretty damn good. The Brisket was a little dry, IMO but overall an unreal platter. They have a Horseradish Aioli that is unbelievable

The food is amazing, and the best price Ive seen in Toronto. Very friendly staff. We got there after the kitchen was closed for the main menu. Even though they did the best and served us amazingly. It was my 4th time there and ALWAYS got an amazing service/food/price. This is my first 5star review in all services and it worth it. Hope they keep always like that.
