Came here with a larger party and the bartender Charlotte was extremely accommodating!!! She was the nicest person ever was very attentive with our group and made sure we were all taken care of. It was our first time here and I would definitely recommend for anyone new to the city wanting to explore new restaurants. This was my first time visiting Cactus Club and I couldn t be happier. We were celebrating my friends birthday today and had the most incredible experience . Our waitress Joey L went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Not only was her service amazing, her professionalism and recommendations were on point. The food was delicious but the service was what made this experience one for the books! If I could give 10 stars for service I would !!! We Will definitely be back !!

Second time back and Peach Bellini is still goated. So are their tofu lettuce wraps, we tried their Thai curry and it was solid as well. Can t really go wrong with anything on their menu.

Wait staff was rude. We had a reservation for happy hour but she let others go ahead of us. The cocktails were just ok. The atmosphere is nice and thats because of the downtown vibe. Overall, a disappointing experience. Not worth coming back when youre treated poorly.

I enjoy coming to this establishment despite the fact that they keep disappointing me with NO SURF AND TURF. How do you run out of surf and turf but make it the feature of the menu visuals? It makes no sense. I hate having to settle for prawns or the creole stuff. They have ran out of lobster tails the last 4 times I have visited. Who is managing the lobster inventory? I am going for dinner there tonight at 8:30pm and if there is no surf and turf it will be a PROBLEM! The pictures I included are the meals I had to settle for instead of my FAV LOBSTER! Take lobster off the menu if you re not serving it. Anyways love you guys see you tonight. Xo

Service was so bad and extremely slow. I understand we re approaching holiday season although that is no excuse for such an establishment like this to make customers wait almost an hour for drinks and food. They should have enough staff to cater to the people dining on a Saturday night in December. As a group of 8 our drinks came at random times and only 1 persons food was served until 30 minutes later, everyone else s food was served. The timing was very inconsistent and no one provided the right amount of cutlery either. I will never come back to this location again.

unfortunately I cannot remember our waitresses name but she was amazing. Very kind and attentive. The food was great as well. We ordered truffle fries, rigatoni bolognese, truffle Parmesan chicken, and chipotle chicken tacos and we all loved them. The front desk upon entry was also very welcoming. Would also like to mention how accommodating they were as we had to push our reservation by over an hour and were still seated in less than 20 mins once we finally arrived. Good experience.

I came here for a friend s birthday dinner this past Saturday. We had a reservation for 9:45 and were not seated until 10:35pm. Our hostess was constantly giving us attitude as we waited and continued to let her know that we are tight on time for the plans we had after dinner. We reminded the server that it was our friend s birthday, however we were never offered a cake or anything to celebrate. From the many birthday dinner s I have attended in Toronto, I have never seen something like that happen. At the end of the dinner, I noticed that I was charged for a portion of a drink that neither I, nor anyone else had ordered. When I mentioned it to the server, she responded with I understand your frustration, but it s only a $2 charge . Our server was not understanding of the principle of the matter, and her response was extremely disrespectful making it seem like the money was the concern when I was simply confused of why this charge was on everyone s bills. I am completely disappointed with cactus club, as were my friends who experienced the same attitude and inconvenience. I will not be eating here again and do not recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free night on their birthday.

Good afternoon work get together location as it s conveniently located in the financial district. Food is your typical pub food but the quality was nice. The lightning is kind of dim but feels warm during the winters. Gets really busy after works so would recommend making reservations

My friend treated me to a pre-birthday dinner and we had such a great experience today at Cactus Club. From the concierge to the servers, everyone was polite and attentive. Special thanks to Catherine for being gracious enough to allow myself and my friend to charge our dying phones and to Sadiq and Tiffin for their great service.

Great atmosphere! Loved cactus fries, lettuce wraps were okayish, not a lot of veggie options, had mentioned in reservation it is friends birthday but got no mention of it. Six layer chocolate cake only looked good on menu but wasnt that great.

I ve been coming to this place for years but never felt compelled to write a review until now. Although the good and atmosphere has always been great, sometimes the servers weren t the most pleasant. I recently visited with some clients, one of whom had severe allergies and couldn t eat much from the menu. Our server, Trinity, went above and beyond to find a solution and she did! Trinity is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and has such a magnetic energy. She truly made the experience exceptional. I d come back just to have her as my server again.

Our buddy recently got divorced and lost his custody battle so we went out to celebrate. Aryan helped us make it a night to remember for him. Highly recommend if youre also in the same boat looking to have one last hoorah before the child support payments start rolling in.

Modern pub/restaurant in downtown Toronto. Young atmosphere, music and matching lights. The food is very good and at a lower price than the rest of the surrounding options. The attention of the waitresses is excellent. Recommended for an outing with friends.

the vibes here go hard. came for dinner on a monday night, plenty of room and yet it was still busy. the music was just right, and the beats were great. the lighting is perfect and intimate. i only hate that they primarily have high top tables, but shockingly they were pretty comfortable. i didn t even realize that the first floor is only a taste, the top floors have even more room and comfort, it was super busy up there. the bathroom are so clean and chic as well, overall the ambiance of this place is awesome. our server, i m sorry i forget his name, was a star. he was so genuine and super quick + attentive. the drinks were excellent and the food was superb. loved the truffle fries, the sushi, and our salads were great. yum yum yum all around!!! prices are actually not as bad as i thought they would be, pretty reasonable for the business type and on par with other chains like Joey (though i m now convinced cactus is way better!!). also the crème brûlée was fire.

I just loved the food here. I ve had maybe 15 different dishes now and they ve all been tasty and perfect. So yummy. Our servers name was Tiffin (hope I spelled that right) and he went over and beyond for us. Just exceptional service for my birthday. Highly recommend if you are in Toronto! The butternut squash is amazing along with the truffle Parmesan chicken, fish tacos, crème brûlée and espresso martini! Service was excellent as well!

The ONLY restaurant my friends and I find ourselves always coming back to. The music always super super good makes me want to get up and shake my better music than the clubs here fr. My go to order is always the peppercorn fillet steak and I m never disappointed. One of my favourite restaurants if not my favourite. The patio is also my favourite seating area - always brings the vibes

It is nice place to hang out with friends after work . I tried thier fish Tacos and those were good but their pencilin drink can be avoided completely.

The rooftop dining was serene! We had a great time at Club Cactus and the key lime pie and London fog crème brule were to die for!

Thanks to Cactus, this happened I m East Asian, with an Indian and a white colleague. After ordering, the server brought over a pair of chopsticks - JUST FOR ME. I didn t order anything that must be consumed with chopsticks. Are you serious right now, Cactus? I work in the building right across, so I come here often. The service has always been slow and the attitude lukewarm, but I contribute it to the rush hour. This is backwards though.

When someone has a reservation, the only option shouldn t be the rooftop bar. It is extremely cold there when it s open, uncomfortable seating and it s crowded. The ambiance is horrible. This is the second time I ve made a reservation and had to be seated there even after making a reservation. Remove the centre piece so that additional tables and booths can be there and close the rooftop when summer is clearly over.

Went there for an important corporate client meeting and could not find a way to appropriately express our frustration towards Cactus. We booked the place for 6-9pm on a Wednesday and by 8:20pm waiters started getting impatient and rushing attendees to get drinks and stopped taking drink orders at 8:30pm. Without any warning they took away all the food at 8pm, with the excuse that food is hazardous as it has been sitting there for multiple hours . The food was served at 7pm which was also late given our 6pm arrival time. Multiple guests haven t had the chance to eat properly and left on half-full stomachs. Spending $120+ per guest while being treated like garbage was certainly not our expectation nor do we wish it to anyone who is looking to spend a night here.

We had a wonderful dining experience Thursday evening on the rooftop. The food and atmosphere were great, tables a little close together and busy but service kept up with the fast paced environment beautifully. What absolutely made our experience and further our night spectacular was our server, Sadiq, who went above and beyond in every way. As someone who has worked as a server I was extremely impressed with his attentiveness, proactiveness, professionalism, and kindness. I have truly never experienced better service and Sadiq turned our quick pit stop for dinner into a 5-star experience and a highlight of our day! Thank you once again Sadiq!

Took my wife here yesterday for her birthday on a swift decision since most places downtown are closed Monday & the restaurant we initially intended to go to was unexpectedly closing earlier. SO GLAD WE CAME HERE, food was incredible & a huge shoutout to Stephanie! She made sure we had an incredible evening. She was super friendly & positive. She kept checking up on us, mainly served us although she was not our server & had exceptional customer service skills. Me and my wife wanted so badly to tip her cash as we knew our actual tip wouldn t go towards her but she refused our offer with grace and said its her pleasure. Our actual server was a guy with dark hair & a buzzcut (don t know his name) & he was very friendly as well. We had an incredible experience. I don t even remember how much I spent because I wasn t looking at prices, but I came out for my birthday during happy hour and the food was amazing. Great vibe and excellent service

I recently visited Cactus Club and it turned out to be a fantastic spot for a night out! The ambiance was vibrant and inviting, with good music and well-thought-out lighting that created a warm yet energetic vibe. It s the kind of place that works equally well for a group hangout or a solo evening. The mixologist was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, recommending a drink that paired perfectly with their Tuna Stack an absolute hit. The spaghetti was also delicious, though I found it a touch on the salty side for my taste. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent service, a fun atmosphere, and solid food. Definitely a 9/10 and worth revisiting!

Came here for drinks on a weeknight. Sat at the rooftop bar and stayed until it closed. Never felt rushed. The drinks were very good and the atmosphere was great. Parked in the garage in the same building.

Ive been to Cactus Club many times and have always enjoyed my time. Their online service is fabulous because sometimes it is easier to reserve tables for yourself without speaking to anyone. However that seems to be the particular case in this situation. I had further questions that an automated machine could not answer and I could not get through to any staff. I was on hold for several minutes. I made sure to check online to see if they were busy and it showed they were not busy at all. I hope this problem is resolved because this is a great venue that is very accommodating, but its always good to ask for permission in advance for certain things to make things easier for everyone.

Visited this location while on vacation my plans didn t go as planned and my waiter Mustafa made me feel much better. The most polite gentleman and answered all my questions. The food was really delicious and the drinks were out of this world. Happy hour was worth the visit and the vibes were great.

I went there for dinner to celebrate a friends birthday. We were seated in the dining room (2nd floor). We ordered appetizers to share: Tuna Stack, Szchewan Lettuce Wrap with Chicken, Salmon Aburi Roll, and Avocado dip. The appetizers were delicious, Id definitely recommend these apps! For the main, I ordered the Sphaghetti Portofino, which had sauteed prawns, lemon butter sauce, roasted gem tomatoes, corn, fennel chili crumb, and garlic crostini. It satisfied my seafood craving! We were seated past 9:00 p.m., so we took advantage of the Happy Hour menu. I ordered the Sunset Soda to drink (Absolut Mandarin vodka, soda, and Bellini slush). It really enjoyed how refreshing it was. Overall, great food, ambiance and service. Id recommend Cactus Club for any occasion.

Updating my original review. I was at Cactus Club yesterday and the staff was super fast and friendly. It was very busy for a Tuesday, however, the staff was very attentive. Thanks so much! Great spot for a business lunch or dinner while downtown. The rooftop patio is the place to be. The service was a bit slow last week at lunch. The kitchen might have been understaffed but the staff was very friendly.

Our server was just the perfect balance of attentiveness and respectfully giving us space. Fabulous food, beautifully presented. It was incredibly busy, but everyone was doing their jobs seamlessly. It was noisy because of the crowd, but the acoustics were clearly well designed. We are definitely coming back.

We made a dinner reservation with some friends to celebrate my friend s birthday. The food and drinks were really good. Although my main complaint is with the service. Everything feels rushed and we felt constantly interrupted by the waitress asking if everything was good and we felt rushed to order. By the time we had the last bite, instantly asked if we wanted to split the bills. Honestly is a shame that you can t spend a good time with friends in a restaurant anymore because you have to rush to eat and get out of there so they have the table ready for the next person. What is the point of making a reservation? Honest feedback, we would probably have ordered more drinks or something else if we felt we could have stayed more as we were having a good time, feels like a common practice in restaurants these days in this city and they have the audacity to ask for minimum 18% tip for service! Not a place I would come back to feel rushed when I m spending +$100.

Our experience at Cactus Club was beyond disappointing. Despite having a reservation, we were left waiting for over an hour with no explanation or apology. What made it worse was the manager s complete lack of effort to make the situation right. We recently visited Cactus Club Downtown with high hopes, especially since we had a reservation. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. Even with our reservation, we were left waiting for nearly an hour with no updates or explanations. Once seated, the service didn t improve. We waited another 15 minutes just for someone to bring water, and the lack of urgency and attentiveness was disheartening. Despite the poor service and long wait, there was no compensation or effort to make our experience better. Given Cactus Club s reputation, we expected a much better level of service and hospitality. We re disappointed and not sure if we ll be returning anytime soon.

I wanted to share our very bad experience with cactus down town we had yesterday. We were there on saturday night oct 12. We had reservation and we got seated after 1 hour of waiting! Beside that long waiting what matter to us was the attitude of the both managers. No hospitality nothing. They were zero at costumer service. The lady(manager) told us after one hour of long waiting that do you want still to eat! She never showed up at our table or even try to do compensation to us to change our bad experience and our mode! I go to cactus club usually but because of the act of the managers that nigh we all never come back again for sure!

Food was good and service excellent! I went as a walk-in on a Wednesday at 6pm and it was extremely busy. Only available seating at that time was at the bar. I highly recommend making a reservation. Squash ravioli with prawns is a must have at Cactus! Food

Service is great! The lemon grass noodle salad, Crispy tofu bowl, crispy chicken sandwich, Chocolate peanut butter crunch, chocolate lava cake and key lime pie were so delicious. My colleagues went back twice for key lime pie and Chocolate peanut butter crunch!

Made reservations yesterday for 4:30 to catch at least half an hour of Happy Hour while my friend and I could. After waiting in quite a long line in the lobby to check-in, I was told my table was not ready yet (despite there being many vacant tables for 2 at the time) and was told to wait off to the side. By 4:40 I concluded this was an unacceptable amount of time to wait and asked the hostess for a timeline of when our table would be ready as we were here to catch the end of Happy Hour. After this comment, we were immediately sat, which begs the question of why we couldn t have been sat promptly when we arrived on-time for our reservation. The atmosphere was quite poor, specifically being sat right next to the elevator and constantly having people walking behind us; again there were many other vacant 2-person tables so it was a tad frustrating we had to be sat here. On top of it all, this celebration was for a birthday - which I noted in the reservation but the wait and hostess staff did not bring up at all. Pricing for Happy Hour items is also fairly questionable considering one prawn sushi roll is $17.95 which seems highly expensive to me. Ultimately I was saddened by my experience at Cactus Club yesterday and don t think I will be returning due to the poor service I endured while celebrating a friend s birthday.

Went last night with friends. Things were good until I was about to leave and I see two rats running next to my table and coming out of what I surmised to be the back kitchen. Totally disgusting. Had just paid the bill and told the waitress but she didn t bring the manager. I left and thought someone would contact me through here instead. Just filthy and repulsive. Zero care for standards. Got a picture.

Just finished having dinner at cactus club. We had looked at the menu online before going because some people in our group had allergies. Upon arriving at the restaurant we discovered only the rooftop patio was open and they do not offer the full menu up there. The person in our party with allergies was informed that the dish they were requesting could not be accommodated for them. This meant a member of our party sat there and watched us eat. At no point did the chef or manager come over to ask if they could do something else. The server was very helpful however she had a very large section so we didnt see her very often and had to get the attention of other people to ask for refills of our drinks. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Great restaurant for professional lunches as well as casual dinners. It has 3 levels of sitting, and all 3 have great ambience. Food is amazing, I ordered chicken tacos, which tasted delicious. The truffle fries are great as well. Service was fast as well considering the rush. Overall great experience.

I first encountered Cactus Club when I lived in Vancouver. Its a very popular restaurant chain in the West Coast, however, I feel that the Cactus Club restaurants in Toronto are a bit better and more elevated than the ones out West. This particular Cactus Club always has a great atmosphere. They also have a lovely rooftop patio which is always a great spot to dine in or have drinks. Service is great and staff are friendly. Every time I come to this location, I always get the tuna stack (super delicious!) and recently, I tried their calamari and honestly, it is chefs kiss! This is a great spot for happy hour after work, hanging out with friends or going on a date.

Zero complaints about the taste of the food and it came out quite quickly. The drinks, especially the margaritas are must! I also appreciate that despite it being busy Sean never made us feel rushed. He checked in on us just enough times that we didn t feel disturbed but also didn t feel like we were forgotten.

It was my first time visiting Cacfus Club (I know, I must have been hiding under a rock), but EVERYTHING I had was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had a cocktail that was very well made too. Since I left, I find myself thinking of the food here, lol. It was soo good. I tried the fish and chicken tacos, with the blackened chicken on mashed potatoes. Even the food others were eating was good as I heard people say this. They were busy so the food did take a little bit to come out but it was worth it and the service was great. I will definitely be going back here if Im ever in Toronto again.

I was visiting from montreal with some coworkers. We decided to go out to catcus club for happy hour dinner. Although the waitress was amazing, she did her best to provide great service even being short staffed. The hostess on the other hand was terrible. Enough to set the mood for the entire night. We mentioned we were there for happy hour which she proceeded to take all the time in the world. We asked for a booth as there was multiple open. She told us we needed to reserve - I then asked so if I call right now and reserve, we can get a both? She said of thats how you want to go about it. She was very unprofessional, and just didnt care. ( I work in customer service and would never treat customers in that way or tone of voice) Left a bad taste for everyone after dealing with her.

My friends and I visited last week and had an unpleasant experience on multiple levels: 1. We made a reservation online and tried to change the time, but the system wouldn t let us. When we tried calling the restaurant, we couldn t speak to anyone only automated messages and sending us links that don t help with the reason of our call. We ended up making a second reservation.. 2. We arrived a bit late due to a TTC delay. Despite our multiple attempts to call the restaurant and inform them, we still couldn t reach anyone. 3. When we got to the restaurant, our table had been given away (which we understood might happen). After waiting for a few minutes, we were told to go upstairs where a table would be ready. However, when we arrived upstairs, the staff member called our name but then gave our table to another group. We tried speaking with her but we were told that we needed to wait. When we addressed the issue, suddenly our table become available and got seated 4. After placing our order, we waited too long for our drinks, and even the food arrived before them. We were told the bar was busy. Later on, we ordered additional drinks and received one and not the other (even though they were both the same drink), until we had to remind the waitress that we re missing one of them. 5. The restaurant advertises happy hour on their website as every day from 2-5pm and 9pm to close, but when we got there, the menu shows that happy hour starts at 10pm on Friday/Saturday. This is false and misleading advertising. 6. When we made the second reservation, my friend had to provide a credit card. A few days later, he noticed a $30 charge because we were late to the reservation. Despite our efforts to contact them and our presence at the restaurant, we were still charged. We tried to call to speak to someone, and again, we couldn t get a hold of anyone. My friend had to travel another day back to the restaurant to speak to someone, and although we managed to get the charge refunded, it was a hassle, and the manager treated the refund as if it were a favor on their part. That being said, the only positive aspect was the ambiance and the DJ. Unfortunately, the food, service, and policies were frustrating and disappointing. There are many other places in Toronto with better experiences, and better food, and this incident has made us decide never to return to Cactus Club!

Love this place! Their drinks are amazing they have a great Happy hour and the rooftop is pretty cool! Beautiful vybes.

I like the food and atmosphere, all the staff are friendly too. The reason I took 2stars away is that there is never a person to pick up the phone call. I know you probably invest a lot in the online order and reservation booking system however, there are some situations the customers really need to speak to someone over the phone. It makes me really upset that no one answers the phone calls when I need to double check reservations and etc.

While eating, we viewed rats and mice coming from the direction of the kitchen. Its really unfortunate because the establishment is nice and the food was good but I couldnt recommend anyone to go there.

Great drinks & delicious food

We celebrated a birthday dinner at Cactus club Cafe, and Emma, our server, made the experience truly unforgettable. Her attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine enthusiasm made our night extra special. Emma is the best of the best, and we can t recommend her enough. Thank you, Emma, for making our celebration perfect!

The manager at this restaurant was so kind and met all of our needs! He was so sweet and accommodated with better seating. He also acknowledged the note we left on the reservation and covered the cost on him for our shots since it was our anniversary. Staff were very nice Food was good. This has always been my favourite restaurant and its safe to say it is now my husbands favourite restaurant too!

Service was really terrible. Was there for my 8th anniversary and the server kept forgetting all of our drinks, we had to cancel pretty much all of them because the food would arrive and drinks wouldn t, even though the drinks were ordered way ahead of time. Tables are also way too close to each other like crammed together so much that someone can t even walk between the tables, you can literally hear and engage in everyone s conversation around you. Extremely loud. That being said, food was good, which was the only good part.

Imagine, you went there with your family and friends and after waiting for a long time a server came and asked for ID card from your 26, 27 year old guys with you and accepted none of the digital documents and didnt serve them! You ordered but once again she notified that you cant order for them! after a while she rudely handed over your table and moved your glasses ticking you wont let putting the glasses near them! After following all her does and donts, In the end while you wanted just asking for a better attitude toward the customers she brought her manager and the manager came and wont let you explain at all and impudently said, ...you wont have the right to discuss regarding that! I am asking you all what is this type of customer service, called?!

I wanted to share a really disappointing experience my family and I had at Cactus recently. We were there to celebrate my cousin s start of the new university term, and the evening didn t go as expected. Even though the place wasn t busy, we waited a long time for service, which was frustrating. What made it worse was when the waiter asked my 27-year-old cousin for ID when she ordered a cocktail. She showed a copy on her phone, but the waiter s attitude was rude and uncomfortable. No one even apologized, and the whole situation really ruined our night. when we brought up the issue with the waiter, instead of apologizing, she called the manager. Unfortunately, the manager didn t even give us a chance to fully explain what happened. They immediately took the waiter s side without properly hearing us out, which just made the whole situation worse. I feel bad because I was the one who suggested here for this special occasion, and I hope this kind of thing doesn t happen to others. If you had gone through the same experience as I did, with the long wait and the rude behavior from both the waiter and the manager, how would you have handled it?

Been here twice, experience the first time was amazing but unfortunately the second time I went, even though the food was great I was disappointed by our server, she seemed disinterested in our table and unfortunately I remember this experience more than my first experience :/

The ambience of the place is really good and they have a good Music Playlist. They have good happy hour discounts on food & drinks. Highly recommend trying the Black Creole Chicken & Frozen Margarita

Food was good, but the service was average at best. This place is also loud when it s busy so be prepared to talk loud.

Ordered a vegan burger, taste wise it s 4/5. The ambience is great, except that music is a bit loud for me. But if you love loud music you d definitely enjoy this place. Great place to visit with colleagues

Would have given service a 5 if the reservation via Open Table would have worked. I was s little disappointed that my rooftop patio reservation was not seen as such. That patio is one of the big draws to Cactus. Otherwise a great experience
