I ordered the chicken souvlaki with onion rings...they were both delicious! The chicken was fresh and tender and the pita was fluffy and also fresh...onion rings were done to perfection! very satisfied with the potion size. The server was freindly and courtious. Would definately return to this place!

The best diner in the city, hands down. The servers are always excellent, and I have never been disappointed by the food or the price. Very accessible parking and close to the water if you feel like a stroll afterwards.

Disappointed with the quality. 1st time: was served chicken souvlaki, rice and potatoes was for sure style. 2nd time: ordered fish and chips, literally waited for 20+ minutes for it...shouldnt take this long to fry a piece of fish and fries(was not busy at the time). On top of it, the fries were burned. Server did not even offer a sorry for the wait

Refused to let me use the washroom while I waited for my Mother and Brother to arrive on Mothers Day. Today (Mothers Day) I traveled 2 plus hours by TTC to meet my 90-year-old Mother and Brother for lunch. I travel down on special occasions. Easter, Birthdays, Thanksgiving, and today Mothers Day. The restaurant is Mothers choice because it is a quick drive from her seniors residence. Today I got off the bus, went inside, looked around, and saw that they had not arrived. The last time I was there on Easter I did the exact same thing, I looked around the restaurant and then told the male host I was waiting for my family. Both times I spoke to the host just inside the entrance, where people line up to be seated. I then said I just got off the bus and needed to use the washroom before being seated. On Easter, there was zero issue. I used the washroom then went outside to wait. When my family arrived we were seated and had a good meal. TODAY when I said I was waiting for my family and attempted to use the washoom the male host put the palm of his hand an inch from my face and said NO, paying customers only. I attempted to tell him I was waiting for my family and he said NO. We do not allow homeless people to use the washrooms. My jaw dropped. I am a middle-aged Canadian woman. I am clean and presentable and in no way could I be mistaken for someone homeless. I was literally carrying a Mothers Day gift bag for my Mom. I said fine then we will go to another restaurant and he said OK. I still had to wait for my family to arrive so I stepped outside and waited. I was embarrassed and angry. I stepped back inside and asked the host if he was the owner or the manager and he said no. I asked him what gave him the right to speak to me that way. To assume I was homeless. I was angry, humiliated, and unfortunately loud. I went back outside and waited for my brother to arrive with my Mother. This idiotic male host came outside to tell me that I had embarrassed him. He said that they have a lot of homeless people just coming in to use the washroom. I looked at him and asked him if I looked homeless to him. I repeated this. He looked at me and told me it was my fault. That I should have waited to be seated first and then used the washroom. At this point, I told him his customer service skills were terrible. He just smirked at me. Not going to lie at this point I called him an AH. My poor 90-year-old Mother arrived at that point. She cannot walk properly and needs assistance ( this is why I wait outside for her) It is a struggle for her to get out and this small trip was something she was looking forward to. We had to help her back to the car which was half a block away. Then we had to drive around until we found another family restaurant. Our Mothers Day was completely ruined by the idiot. The happy mood we had looking forward to our Mothers day lunch was gone. And for what? Because a middle-aged woman needed to use the restroom while she waited for her 90-year-old Mother to arrive for lunch. We found another place to eat. It was packed and we had to wait for a table. While we waited I used the rest room with no issue at all. Zero issue.

The preparation of food is fast and the customer services is amazing. The omelets we ordered is so delicious that my baby wanted more.

Greasy spoon restaurant. If you want something quick, come here. Had their breakfast sandwich and it did hit the spot . Greasy fries and fried potatoes. Friendly staff, limited parking at the front, on the side you have to pay FYI. Nothing fancy at this place, pretty straight forward at a reasonable price.

i dont know about food but they dont allow couriers to use washroom everytime they are just repairing their washrooms.. just excuses we confirmed with the customers outside and they said yes we went to washroom. bad behaviour .

Classic Diner Experience

One of those little neighborhood diner types. Went there for lunch. We ordered Club sandwich and meat lovers omelette. Great simple menu items. Good value and exactly what you would expect and what you went for. Will definitely go again.

Been coming here since it opened (or reopened) in Mimico and have always loved the food and service. They have a ton of regulars (including me) and a chill, family vibe. Often run into friends there. Fries are great and plentiful, eggs Benny is probably the best I ve ever had, souvlaki is BOMB, brekkies is perfect and their prices are great. Try the specials, homemade pies, and salads!

I have ordered from this restaurant many times. This order was not acceptable and not up par with the price paid for the chicken souvlaki dinner. Ordered the dinner with potatoes only and they gave the exact same 4 piece of potatoes as if it came with rice. For $22!!! And I was denied any partial refund. So $4 for service fee, $5 tip and I get four potatoes and 4 pieces of chicken. The fries were greasy and soggy this time and the chicken was very dry. Each meal was $22. Pretty sad for $$60 for two ppl. And restaurants complain they re not getting enough business I ll be sure to look elsewhere instead of just staying local in the neighborhood. The last few orders haven t been as good so clearly time for a change.

When looking from the outside it looks like a run down old restaurant but when I sat down inside I was instantly greeted, service was amazing, the tables and bathrooms were very clean! I was very surprised and the food was fast and yummy! Will be returning soon :)

All the food is great. Very tasty they make the best Greek salad. Big juicy burgers . To mention the steak is so tender and juicy . Milkshakes are so delicious like old school. I would say I love everything and the homemade soup. A nice beef stew would be nice in the winter time and maybe chilli. The men always said they wish they had stew and chilli. It goes right to a man stomach. They would sale a lot. Every thing is so delicious and the blueberrie pancakes yummy give them a try, you won t be disappointed Vegetarian options: I love my meat, I know a few people who are vegetarian. They say there is no place around this area that serve vegetarian food and they go out of their way to eat. To be honest there is not many vegetarians around. I think a lot of food would spoil. That s just my opinion

My friends and I came to this restaurant for brunch and had a very pleasing dining experience. Friendly & attentive staff who came by our table to check on us several times after serving our orders. I had a big breakfast which came with sausages, toasts, bacons, home fries, big pancakes. They were all tasty and the portions were quite generous. And all these for such an affordable price! I will definitely come back here again in the future.

I m old school, I love liver and onions with some good mashed potatoes .you can t find it almost anywhere . But tonight John and George, the 2 brothers who own this spot made me the most spectacular liver and onions I ve ever eaten! So good! Unbelievably delicious! Soft, seasoned perfectly and the onions were slowly sautéed for hours, the way it should be, but who does that anymore? These guys do! The flavour was so intense, so perfect! Well, I m a believer! I found my new go-to place! If they can do this with liver and onions, I just can t wait to taste their burgers, souvlaki .well everything! This is how you do a diner properly. Everything on the menu here is delicious. Prices are great. Staff is friendly and attentive. Portions are huge. Its the perfect diner! We missed them so much when they moved out of Parkdale but the new spot is just as good. Well be back for sure.

Opened by new owners in June 2022. Renovated space, good breakfast servings for reasonable price. You can still see a slice of Lake Ontario from a booth in the window. Great diner for the neighbourhood.

I have not put 5stars because I think Sunday there were short staffed so the food took a while to come but there were really fast in taking the order. The omelette is better than many places I ve been. The downside was the Benedict egg I personally don t like when they add cream in the hollandaise sauce it does not taste the same which means that I will not be ordering bennies anymore here, but will definitely come back for the omelette.

Solid neighbourhood diner and good value.

They boast about large portions for reasonable prices and they deliver. Taste and quality are great and the staff are friendly but definitely overworked. Its a lovely little diner that revives the old Canadiana location and allows Petes Corner Grill from Parkdale to keep on going. My advice would be to expect a wait whether youre dining in or getting takeout as its pretty clear theyre understaffed at the moment. Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately theres no ramp into the restaurant and that first step is pretty high so wheelchair access isnt there

This diner has been here for over 30 years, but looks and tastes better than ever! The renovations to the interior are modern and clean. The staff is always friendly. The food has always been good, but its better now than ever before! I recommend the club sandwich or the 3 cheese mushroom omelet. The souvlaki is also delicious, as the owners of this restaurant have traditionally been Greek. The pita is soft and warm, with great flavour. The chicken is juicy and tender. Great breakfast too, as this is the new Lucky Dice, for those familiar with the area. Now we just need a new Sloppy Joes instead of the weak replacements on Lakeshore. Owners: please bring back the shredded homefries that were famous in the area.

This was my third visit here. The staff is amazing and cheerful. I had the steak dinner which was made to perfection. It melted in my mouth. I also recommend the chicken souvlaki dinner sooooo yummy. I highly recommend this establishment!

Having found Canadiana by accident on Uber months ago and then finding its the same family run business?!? MIND. BLOWN!! 5/5 GENEROUS PORTIONS with the tastiest food you will ever find!!

Ive lived in the area for 6 years and always walked by Canadiana Grill. I finally went inside as I was craving a nice breakfast with sausages. My craving was fulfilled. Food was very good and the service was spectacular. The place was clean, friendly, and Ill be going back for sure. 10/10 will be back to try their entire menu eventually!

Read such good reviews about the chicken souvlaki so ordered the same. Rice was hard and dry, chicken was not juicy and moist like said in the reviews. Also ordered the classic burger. It was decent and moderate. I would give the restaurant a mediocre rating. Not as high as the hyped reviews.

Fresh, great tasting food and very responsibly priced

This classic diner is in our neck of the woods and has been recommended especially for the breakfast items. The prices are reasonable with huge portions. I ordered liver n onions as it is not a common item to find and secondly, I love this dish. My spouse had a blueberry French toast which he enjoyed although he missed the maple syrup something to consider to be added as an upgrade. We will be returning back as we are brunch fanatics and glad to have this gem in your neighbourhood with a homey feeling Parking: There are couple of free parking spots in the plaza or you pay GreenP parking on the street

Amazing little brekkie place in this beautiful neighbourhood. Grabbed the club house and hubby the triple decker and it was so good phone did not eat first. Was so good beautifully done would not change a thing. Except to add onion to my hashbrowns. . Reasonable price. Beautiful seating with the flowers for each table. The servers was absolutely amazing and she deserves all the tips with her bright smile and attentive nature. She was hands down my best server in a minute. Enjoy the food and than take a nice walk along the lake to capture the beauty of the lakeshore. 100% best kept secret but they need all the help to stay afloat in these hard times. Pop in try it you will not be disappointed. Fun menu.
