I love everything about this place! Our server Lina was excellent. From the moment you enter the venue, all staff members were friendly and professional. I came here for dinner on Saturday and the vibes were upbeat and classy. I loved the house music and the live guitarist. More importantly, the food was mesmerizing and drinks were flowing! Made to perfection! I had one of the best nights of my life here with my best friend!

We couldn t have had a better overall dinner experience! The staff were attentive and respectful during the entire evening. Our server Sai was very professional and made the dinner much more enjoyable. We never had to wait, nor did we feel rushed in anyway. The tacos we had were very flavourful and the guacamole was the best we ve ever had.

Very nice atmosphere, delicious food, elaborate drinks and impeccable service! We really enjoyed the guitarist on site who improvised melodies from the DJs music. Our server Roberts was great, he gave us excellent recommendations on the menu. We had the heirloom tomato salad (just wow!), the white fish ceviche, the tacos al pastor and the duck tacos (our most favorite). We particularly recommend to our quebecois friends who visit toronto! Too bad it was our last night in the city, we wouldve loved to go back ! Also, they wonderfully adapted the menu for celiac disease Dietary restrictions: Celiac friendly!

A very well known modern mexican restaurant in downtown Toronto. Despite it is not located in the populated streets, this is one of the must visit restaurants in this city. All wooden decorations, honoring the name, and wide open space inside fitting a large number of tables to feed multiple customers at the same time. They have a good amount of staff and servers, guaranteeing you are well attended during the whole meal. Menu is not large, but neither small, giving you more than enough options to keep you thinking for a while on what to order. They offer starters, raw seafood, salads, mains and sides. And as good mexican restaurant, they have a separate menu just for tacos. Tacos here are all excellent, homemade tortillas generously stuffed with fresh ingredients. Each plate comes with two tacos and I recommend ordering the arrachera and barbacoa. If you fancy something spicy, order Al Pastor tacos. As main, I tried the Patto, a very well cooked duck, served in two long slices with the fat, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. A delicatessen. I decided to accompany the duck with a side of truffle potatoes, which were extraordinary. They have a medium size dessert menu, with great choices where I definitely recommend ordering the salted caramel and chocolate. It won t disappoint! Another highlight of this restaurant is the cocktails menu. Obviously having as main characters the tequila and mezcal, they manage to serve excellent drinks to the table where all of them define a different story/flavor. The ambience is chill and appropriate, with the exception of the music selection which sometimes techno mixed with life guitar beats is not the best option to accompany a meal. Price here is over average. While every plate is culinary piece of quality and excellence, I am not sure if the high prices are according the menu selection. I would say here you pay the experience. Definitely recommended for a special occasion, romantic date or a group gathering

We recently celebrated a birthday here, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The food was fantastic, with the appetizers truly stealing the show next time, I d focus more on those. While the main courses were also excellent, the appetizers were favorites for all of our guests. The service was impeccable, with our server being both attentive and genuinely kind. Overall, it was a memorable evening with exceptional food and hospitality.

Ordered the old fashion with the premise of choosing your own ingredients. Was given options on scotch, but not informed of price differences. Ended up with a $50 drink. Was informed I should have known this. Please inform your staff that this is not a club and thats not acceptable. One star. Do better.

1 star for food. Nothing wow. We tried the ceviche, tacos, burgers, oysters, hummus and guac. Meh ceviche, tacos and burgers were not seasoned very well, missed the zest! We are foodies and this was just below average. 2 star for service: we stayed there for 2.5hours and we could NOT finish a sentence without being interrupted by the waiter. Not common sense at all. My guests were quite annoyed. Super bad experience. Atmosphere: 5 star beautiful place with wood decorations. I would not go back.

I was really disappointed with my visit to Casa Madera for a brunch the latte took forever to arrive and when it did it was cold and tasted like cold water, our server seemed disinterested and inattentive. The bill was way too expensive for pancakes and eggs, we got 2 salads the Israeli is very plain no taste no creativity no effort and they just have to take it out of the menu overall I was expecting a better experience

I recently dined at Casa Madera, and while the ambiance was truly excellent inviting and beautifully designed I found myself disappointed by the value of the food given the high prices. For instance, I ordered an omelette priced at an astonishing $54. While I expected something special for that amount, it just didn t deliver. Additionally, charging $7 for just two slices of bread felt ridiculous, especially when we had ordered a brunch platter that really should have included it as a complimentary item. Furthermore, I noticed a lack of options for vegetarians, which is something I hope they will address in the future. Overall, while the atmosphere was lovely, the pricing and food value left much to be desired. Im not sure if I will be returning anytime soon, as I believe there are better options out there for a brunch experience.

We were there for our one year anniversary and we left before even ordering the mains as we couldn t stand being there a minute longer. When our server came to introduce herself, her voice was weak and uninterested in whether we could hear her or not so I didn t get her name but she did manage to say happy anniversary. The food was average. We got the guacamole, pulpo, hamachi and the ceviche and everything needed more salt. We think small portions and high prices demand excellent customer service. We didn t order mains or drinks as nobody was checking in on us or attempted to entice us to order more. We ordered the hamachi and when the runner delivered it to our table, she sprayed something without saying what it was or what it was for and left. The whole experience was strange and uncomfortable. All the employees faces and behaviours were so dismissive that we decided to take our important dinner somewhere else. As people in the industry, we know that there are bad nights which is fair but we also know that we have the opportunity to make or break somebody s night. And this restaurant really broke our night. We planned to specifically go to this restaurant on our one year wedding anniversary and make a memorable night and it s a shame that we had to scramble to make our night elsewhere.

This was my first time going there for my fiancé s birthday and we loved it and would definitely come again! However, we felt that servers needed to be a bit more on top of things and know what s going on, etc. sometimes it took long to get the attention of our waiter. Birthday cake was very thoughtful but tasted store bought. It was cold, dry and way too sweet. Which we were super surprised by as it didn t at all match the food quality of everything else we ate which was a shame. Atmosphere was amazing and remainder of food was absolutely delicious.

first time trying this place out and it was absolutely lovely. the food is amazing, i particularly loved the jackfruit tacos. the drinks are tasty and so fun. we sat at the bartender which was fine and the bartender was super attentive and made sure to learn your name. the food came out super fast too. love the ambiance inside and great music. shoutout to our awesome hostess Mara!!!

On our way to another restaurant we had walked past this gorgeous spot. we decided to go here instead because of how fancy and amazing it had looked. Our server Roberts was out of this world. was able to explain everything to us amazingly considering it was our first time. Great person, Great server, overall amazing. This doesn t look like wagyu beef to me that I paid 120$ for. Server laughed when I ordered a double glass of wine. Disappeared after but was still at the restaurant. Horrendous service. Edit: pita with hummus was not cooked fully either.

There is no competition! This is the best brunch spot. I tried out several items from their menu and I wanted to savour it all. The atmosphere is everything and more!!! Our server Si had such a complimentary and respectful vibe. The performers were also outstanding! I have also came here a time before and enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel lounge area while they had a live performer and he was amazing, like nothing else and he took a song request for me. There isn t a comparable hotel. The music! The greenery and overall ambiance! I have made beautiful memories with this establishment.

Mothers/Daughters weekend in Toronto and we enjoyed an Absolutely DELICIOUS meal at Casa Madera! Our waitress, Jana, needs to be given 5 stars for her terrific assistance with our menu selections and her joyful professional service. She is excellent! We ordered Tuna Timbale, Heirloom Tomatoes, Guacamole, Carne Asada, Corn, Truffle Risotta, Turbot, and Salted Caramel Chocolate Truffle. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We did not order the Soltice cocktail but enjoyed seeing it flaming delivered to others. We did enjoy margheritas, and a bottle of wine. The ambiance stylish. Service exceptional. Music with live guitarist perfect. Truly a wonderful dining experience.

I wouldnt recommend coming here for a weeknight dinner. There was no live performances and no acknowledgement of the special occasion we marked that we were celebrating. The drinks and service were good but the food was incredibly overpriced for what we got. Nothing was wrong with it, but the price we paid for dinner was not worth it.

We had a fantastic breakfast at Sclafanis. We tried the Egg and Cheese Bagel, and it exceeded our expectations. The bagel was delightfully chewy and warm, with a generous portion of creamy cheese and a perfectly cooked egg. The friendly customer service made the visit even better; everyone was so welcoming and attentive. Enjoying our meal with a cup of locally roasted coffee was the cherry on top. Sharing full disclosure experience and reasons for the rating. The interior and venue itself is classy with a well thought through design, and makes for a good first impression. However, quite a noisy place to be honest.. you soon realize you need to shout across the table to be heard. Mind you this is not an evening night club or an evening bar. Its Sunday brunch. Most people that come are family and group of friends. We came with an older couple. Live music and entertainment is acceptable and fun but its extremely important that it is not at the expense of decent conversation. Service started disappointing and ultimately scores a failing grade. The older gentleman we came with, commented on the noise, no apologies - just an it is what it is, just talk louder remark.. which we brushed off. 2nd stumble: ordered wine, to be given the wrong bottle.. 10mins go by, on the 2nd try was offered a younger (cheaper) vintage that was available at the same price. Apparently the menu was not updated? Okay fine Ill make due. Ordered starters and mains at the same time. (Needing to raise voice to server to be heard ). Starters come first: Hummus and ceviche. Ceviche was amazing. Hummus half decent and the pita... was cold. A second order of pita was muuuch better, but that took another 10mins (hard to get a server to look our way). For the mains.. another 30mins pass without mention of when they will come. So we begin to ask, not once, not twice but 3 times. At maybe 10min intervals. Each time frustration building. Especially when you notice newcomers recieving their food earlier that you. We later learn that the timing of the orders was mismanaged.. because we had starters? Note that we had to nurse our wine at this point because ordering another felt unreasonable. Mains come: again good quality in parts, but not worth the price you are paying for. Burger was pretty good but small. Fries was unique and flavorful. Steak and eggs omellete was properly done, but surprisingly easy to replicate at home. And the classic huevos rancheros was disappointingly drenched in sour cream. At this point we made it clear to the server our complaints about service and timing, to which was forwarded to the manager. If there was a moment to mend the situation this would be it. But the manager came in the middle of us eating our mains only to ask if the food is good - to which we can only nod because, yep, there was someone passing by dancing and the music was too loud to have a decent discussion. Seems other people faired better, given some of the reviews. Unfortunately I felt compelled to be transparent here because there is still much to like about the place. Though i think its a case of misguided priorities. All that effort for some entertainment and music, at the expense of proper service? No thanks. Thats not the way to get people to come back. Fair warning.

Beyond disappointing from a food standpoint. The pastry dishes had no flavor yet are touted as a sweet dish. To pay that price and not be able to finish my food is not a good look. Also having 2/4 dishes burned was upsetting for the table. Limited menu with limited description, not worth your brunch. All presentation, no execution

Booked Casa Madera for a birthday celebration and it didn t disappoint. The service was excellent and the interior was stunning really loved the vibe. The tables were a bit small, but that s the style they re going for, I guess. LOL. It was relatively quiet when we arrived around 5pm on a Sunday, just as dinner was starting. We started with an amuse-bouche that seemed like some kind of delicious potato dish, though I can t recall exactly what it was. The Mayan hummus was good but not groundbreaking definitely better than store-bought, but nothing too special. The tacos were absolutely BOMB, perfectly balanced in terms of meat, toppings, and tortilla, with fantastic flavors. The star of the show was the Casa Tomahawk. It s a huge dish, easily enough for four people. Though pricey, the meat s phenomenal cooking and quality made it worth the expense, and it was served with some simple yet tasty tomatoes and potatoes. We ended with a strawberry ice cream tart which they decorated with a Happy Birthday message, a nice touch reflecting the special note I made in the reservation. The mocktails we tried were so good, they made me want to order more. Overall, Casa Madera delivered great vibes, food, and service. It s pricey, especially if you opt for something like the tomahawk, but well worth it for a special occasion. I m looking forward to trying their brunch next time since I ve heard good things about it.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Best restaurant experience we had while visiting Toronto! We flew in from BC during Thanksgiving long weekend and this restaurant was definitely our favorite during the trip. It wasnt crowded and vibes were immaculate. We liked how seating was spaced out. Felt super romantic, calm, and relaxing. Great way to start our day! Casa Madera had an amazing DJ and to top it off, they had live music on site! We came here for brunch and the food tasted heavenly! It was extremely healthy and flavourful. It was the perfect fuel as we had a long day ahead of us and, needed the energy! The service was unmatched and really appreciated. Staff was sweet and made you feel welcomed. We interacted with five different staff members and they were very respectful. Really great spot for a date, and taking pictures if youre an influencer. We noticed an influencer couple as we were heading outside. Right outside the restaurant has a beautiful area for pictures as well! We were in bit of a rush as we had an appointment coming up. We had to leave sooner than we wouldve liked. We loved the vibes here. Definitely will be back next time in toronto!

I had a really great time at Casa Madera! The service was on point super friendly and quick. The vibe of the place was lively and fun, perfect for a night out. As for the food, the risotto and sea bass were both standout dishes, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The portions were large and perfect for sharing. Definitely recommend if youre looking for good food and a nice atmosphere!

It sounds like the place has an enjoyable atmosphere but may not provide value for money when it comes to food. Paying over $50 for an omelette and $7 for two slices of toast seems excessive. The violin performance might also be more for show than for actual musical enjoyment, focusing more on creating an Instagram-friendly experience rather than enhancing the ambiance with live music

Nothing special about the food, too expensive for whats offered, nice atmosphere, but music VERY loud. Overall, was meh, we came to celebrate birthday, 4 people, for $225/person, wait up to 30 min for the entrees. Not even close to what was expected.

I ve been looking forward to this brunch for a couple weeks now. And I was needless to say fairly disappointed. We got the frittata, this omelette with crab (I can t remember the name, I asked our waiter to bring back menus but I guess he forgot), the ceviche, the churro French toast and the potatoes. The frittata was terrible. Absolutely void of flavour and the waiter actually told me that s how it s made after I mentioned my dissatisfaction. My mother enjoyed the ceviche and the omelette with crab was probably the best thing we ordered honestly. The French toast came burnt and the inside was raw. We also got three drinks which we were all happy with. The potatoes were also very bland, they weren t terrible but again the only flavour there was salt. The ambience is nice it s a very beautiful venue but when we got there they were blasting music I could hardly hear my other party who was right across from me. Thankfully the waiter was able to turn down the music a bit. All this to say the experience was not aligned with the price. The menu items were fairly underwhelming. Between the 3 of us we paid $315. My mother asked for the bill as one but I asked our waiter if we could have it in 3 equal bills. He said we could split it once he brought it over but then when he came proceeded to hand my mom the entire bill and had her pay. My mother isn t the kind of person to ask to split the bill especially with her children so I understand her not speaking up but I was very unhappy that he didn t even think to clarify with the table what our preference was. I definitely would not recommend this place unless you re just doing drinks maybe. I think it s probably a lot better in the evening as a night time venue. Will not be going back. (Edit, they did remove the French toast off the bill apparently and that price was it after)

I m gonna give one star just because of unexceptable customer service from front desk, Daniella was rude and her attitude was beyond!

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant during our recent visit to Toronto. Despite its luxurious ambiance, the reception (few ladies one of them named Daniella)staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful to us. Even after politely explaining that it was our friend s birthday and their behavior had ruined our evening, they refused to apologize or make amends. As tourists from Vancouver, we were shocked by the lack of basic customer service. This experience left us with a very negative impression, and we would not recommend this restaurant to others.

Our experience at this restaurant in Toronto was shockingly unpleasant. The reception staff name Daniella was not only unprofessional but also aggressively rude. We approached them politely, explaining that it was our friend s birthday and their behavior had completely ruined our evening, yet they showed no remorse or willingness to correct the situation. As visitors from Vancouver, we were appalled by the disrespectful treatment we received. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, especially at a supposedly high-end establishment. We would strongly advise against dining here.

I have been here once before and really wanted to bring my daughter back to try it out. We had a wonderful time. The service was excellent, and the food and drinks were all amazing. There was a dish that was not what we expected it to be, and it was refunded from our bill with no question. We were given a complimentary shot each for the inconvenience, which wasnt necessary but very much appreciated, and we enjoyed every minute of our evening

The music was too loud. We couldnt have a conversation. Only three people dinning and they couldnt even bring out our meals at the same time so that we ate together. When my salmon was put down in front of me I thought, did they run out of food, the next thought was where is the rest of my meal. The portion was less than the size of my palm and that was all that was on my plate, cost $51.00. The rib eye steak was the same size, cost $158.00. We expected an actual rib eye steak, not chunks of meat. The food was mediocre at best. The restaurant is very nice inside, and thats what you are paying for. You are certainly not paying for a top chef to cook a delicious meal. I would not recommend this restaurant. I dont understand how people can give it a 4 out of 5 star rating.

This is a beautiful restaurant. Food and service were exceptional. We had an absolutely lovely time. Order the Chile Pulpo. It was exquisite! The music can get a little loud, especially when the guitarist was nearby - cool touch, mixing with the DJ, but absolutely NOT necessary in a fine dining restaurant.

Brought some of my out-of-town colleagues here the other night as I knew this place would not disappoint. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food especially the mango Matcha cheesecake and the Wagyu steak! One of my colleagues found the music a little loud (but to be fair he s an old man)

Amazing atmosphere - they have space for larger groups and fantastic desserts. Very less vegetarian choices but they can make something custom for you. Beautiful decor - even the restrooms were well decorated

Kindly go here! This is an unquestionable necessity for any unique event as the spot is totally shocking. The eucalyptus in the napkins and gritty washrooms were a number one among my loved ones. We attempted the sheep, chicken and steak tacos. The steak was by a long shot awesome. Very succulent. The turbot was the absolute best fish Ive at any point had. Another should attempt dish is the bean and corn salad. The deserts were all visual magnum opuses.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was so on point, the atmosphere was very cool and the food was decent. The desserts were delicious.

What a fun brunch day at Casa Madera. My friend and I tried their hummus and pancakes. The pancakes were amazing! The cocktails were great too. The ambiance of this place is incredible. Also, what a vibe! We witnessed the casa madera celebration. There was live music and dance which added to the overall experience.

Everything was great: food, drinks, desserts, and service. There was a lady playing live electric cello - so good. The washrooms were clean and smelled good. I would recommend this place. Picture: Salted Caramel + Chocolate Truffle dessert. The only nitpick we noticed was that the metal plates on the wall around the faucets werent fixed in place both in the mens and womens washrooms. It seems like a hardware defect. As a restaurant of this level, Id look into that.

I want to start by saying the food and drinks are great, service needs a lot of work. We waited over an hour for our table, which we had reserved. Then, when I went to ask the hostess if she forgot about us, she looked away from me, started ignoring me and listening to another conversation for about 30 seconds until I had to say excuse me to get her attention back. No compensation was given , not even an offer of a drink on the house. Thats the least you can do considering. Again, the food was excellent and the drinks were great, its a shame the service wasnt up to par. Hopefully, my next experience will be better.

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment on July the 28th. Booked a reservation for two, celebrating my wifes birthday and I can say I am thoroughly impressed. The location is prime, right off of King Street but nestled in an area that is quite (surprisingly) and quaint. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two individuals who were enthusiastic and keen on their role. That is to say, they were warm, friendly and took pride in what they did which was refreshing to see. One of the kind ladies at the front reception, who had glasses and wore New Balance 574s (did not get her name) stood out the most as she was receptive, kind, engaging and professional. This kind lady also gave us complimentary champagne which was greatly appreciated. The interior setting is beautiful. Natural tones, earthy yet contemporary, so it is not overdone and does not over power your sense of a relaxing, yet sophisticated night out. Our waitress, I cannot recall her name, but she spoke Spanish very well, was also very kind, informed, attentive, and willing to assist. For appetizers we ordered cevice and guacamole, which came with a side of plantain chips which complemented both sides perfectly. That goes to say, they were both delicious, well prepared and full of flavor. My wife ordered the A La Roca, which was absolutely amazing, from setting to taste. For a side, she got the potatoes which had a nice hint of garlic, possible rosemary and a light salting. Would definitely recommend the pairing. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and came with two side compliments which were salt and au jus, which were exquisite. For myself, I ordered the sea bass, which came with two delicious sauces, a side of guacamole and tortillas. The sea bass was one of the best I have had and was cooked very well, bonus, no bones. As a side, which was optional I ordered caviar which was a good call. It adds that special kick to the sea bass and, why not? My wife and I enjoyed our night out, and could not ask for more as everyone there was attentive and ready to serve. The only improvement and I stress this lightly, I would suggest is that in the bathrooms there should be motion activated faucets and doors. Just for those (myself included) who like to keep things extra sanitary. Furthermore, paper towels as an option to dry hands opposed to the air dryers, would be a much appreciated addition to the bathroom as well. Again, this is not a reason to avoid this place, it is simply a suggestion for the establishment, which is already amazing to begin with. The staff here should continue to keep up the great work, I now know what sets them apart and I hope they do not lose that touch. Dietary restrictions: If you need gluten free items, they can accommodate without ruining the flavor profile and overall characteristic of your dish.

Came here for a birthday dinner and it was so nice. The octopus was delicious and is a must try!! We also got their ceviche blanco which was super refreshing. Could skip the risotto, and the steak and shrimp tacos. The ambiance and service were incredible. The interior is beautiful, and there were live music and dancers which was really cool.

The wine selection is pretty good. We went to a company event and had a good time. The taste of the food is delicious. It s meant to be a Mexican-Mediterranean fusion restaurant, as for the dishes we tried, as a full blown Mexican, I ll say it leans more toward the Mediterranean side more than the Mexican. The closest feeling to a home dish was the ceviche. That said, it was still a great experience. Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian options on the menu. Dietary restrictions: Dishes on the menu are varied, there are options with or without anything you might seek to remove. Parking: The hotel has paid parking lot in front or you can pay street parking around the park. The restaurant does have a valet. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and there is enough space between tables.

Sai made our experience top tier. Ambience was excellent, and so was the food and service. Great place for an elevated evening.

Considering the high price point, we had expected the entire experience to be faultless. Instead, food taste was inconsistent between dishes (ranging from poor to good), multiple items were delivered with large gaps of time in between and some items were forgotten altogether. Atmosphere was nice and this was the only consistent positive. Unfortunately, would not return.

Second time here, amazing place. Elegant, sexy & comfortable environment- I ve been to the one in LA &highly recommend both. My partner has many food restrictions (Grains & Nightshades) that were easily accommodated here. Our server, Nick was excellent- professional, helpful yet relaxed with a very warm demeanour. Only giving the food a 4 this time as the king salmon main was too salty and the duck tacos were extremely wet (like pouring out of the taco as I bit into both of them). We came back specifically for the yuca fries and the mushrooms - and they were incredible as usual and the sashimi was excellent too. The first time we were here in February, the food was 5/5. Had both a classic margarita, and a spicy one too (special request), both were top notch, nice touch on gold dusting the lime garnish. Dietary restrictions: Grains, celiac, nightshade

(Jun 2024) Was here for brunch with my bestie. We wanted to get the tomahawk steak but there s no way we would be able to finish a 44oz. So we went with salsa verde + eggs and added the skirt steak. Steak never came. The salsa and eggs were pretty bland and meh. Hummus was just okay. Also got the most popular recommended item churros french toast. It was so soggy and mushy. I really didnt like it. But every table had one, i had to try for myself . Its a pretty spot. Enjoyed the performances. Ive heard so many good things about this place. But idk if i can bring myself back to try dinner.. Update (Aug 2024): Ive reached out to Elle and have yet heard back its been two months.

decor is gorgeous. but my friends drink was set on fire, it was beautiful... but then it ended up with 2 tbsps of burnt cinnamon in it and was almost undrinkable... food was average.

Disappointing Experience Despite a Beautiful Setting We had high hopes for our dinner reservation at this restaurant, especially since we were there to celebrate a special occasion. Our reservation was for 10 PM, but unfortunately, we encountered a major highway accident on the way, causing us to be delayed. I called ahead to inform the restaurant that we might be 10-20 minutes late, and they assured us that our table would be ready. However, when we arrived at 10:20 PM, we were told we had to wait. Despite having a reservation, we werent seated until 10:55 PM, a full 35 minutes later. I repeatedly checked in with the receptionist, but we kept being told five more minutes. When we finally sat down and placed our order, we were looking forward to enjoying our meal, but our patience was tested once again. The steak, which was the most expensive item on the menu, didn t arrive until 12:10 AM more than an hour after we ordered. Throughout that time, we were repeatedly told that our food would be ready in five more minutes, which went on for over 20 minutes. By the time the food arrived, it was too late for us to fully enjoy our dinner. What made it worse was that the server never informed us that our food would take over an hour to prepare. If we had known, we might have chosen something else, as nobody wants to start eating at 12:10 AM. To top it all off, when the bill was given to us, it took another 15 minutes for someone to come and take our payment, despite the fact that there were only two tables left in the restaurant as it was closing. While the ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful and the staff were pleasant, the service was terribly slow and the timing was unacceptable. What should have been a wonderful evening turned into a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, given the poor service and lengthy wait times, this wont be a place I d consider returning to in the future.

Went with some girlfriends for a catch up and bday celebration. Each staff member treated us with great care, from the hosts to the server (nick) and bartender (Tim?) we felt very taken care of. The space was bright and lively and the music and entertainment was fun but not overwhelming. Portions were huge! Would go again. Went to the rooftop which wasn t as enjoyable, but I will keep my reviews separate so as to not take away from our initial experience. Vegetarian options: Awesome vegan ceviche!

We had a great experience from this restaurant! All of the food we ordered were delicious (oysters were crisp and fresh, the steak tender and not dry, the fish just melts in your mouth and the sauce not overpowering/super buttery or creamy) not to mention that the presentation was very pretty! The servers were attentive and efficient and checked up on us regularly. The live band would move locations to make sure all guests are able to enjoy the live music and entertainment wherever theyre seated. We had an incident were the server accident queued the wrong order, but even this experience was smooth and stress free, they didnt charge us for the wrong item. The ambiance and the atmosphere of this place was magical, and we really enjoyed it! Definitely coming back!

This is a beautiful place but.....the food was sub par and not worth the prices, we had to return mains twice. The service was slow eventhough it was not busy. Made a reservation which was ridiculous, $50 on credit card for no show or if you are 15 min late, cant cancel reservation after 24 hours prior to booking and they have the nerve to text you day of and remind you of all of this and that there is a dress code etc. The place was dead on a Thursday at 7pm, didnt even need a reso. Too many great restaurants in TO for this place to be blazzey and treat you like a peasant.

Great service, fresh, very tasty food that was all well prepared. Great atmosphere however the music in the dining area was so loud our group had difficulty hearing each other. The three types of salsas served with the sea bass were outstanding, as was the fish. The Wagu steak at $160 was very good but way overpriced. The wine list is crazy expensive, a $25 bottle from the LCBO is over $110, that s crazy. I expected a larger menu ie more choices, so be it. Overall, good food, good service but very pricey.

This place is beautiful and the food is amazing. The rustic/bohemian feel is truly unique! Came to visit Toronto and we re so glad we picked this restaurant! Sai was our server and was great, very kind and explained every meal thoroughly. 10/10 for Sai, the atmosphere and the wonderful chef who made our delicious meals!

To say this restaurant is breathtaking is an understatement. The immaculate vibes as soon as you enter transport you to another dimension. Throughout the night, they offered various forms of entertainment, including a live guitar player and a type of dancer. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us excellent recommendations. I ordered the Pog as my drink, which the server suggested, and it was an excellent choice. It was perfectly balanced, neither too tart nor too sweet, and featured a unique fire presentation. For my main course, I ordered the Mayan Hummus with Pita, accompanied by a side of Mediterranean rice. Unfortunately, the Mayan Hummus was extremely disappointing in taste; Ive had better hummus from the grocery store. However, the pitas were very fresh. The Mediterranean rice had a unique balance of flavors, though it can be a bit misleading as it contains quinoa. Other members of my party ordered tacos, guacamole, and fries, which were delicious, although the portions these days are quite small. Overall, it was a unique and fun experience. I would definitely return to try their brunch menu or to grab a quick drink. The restaurant has a great vibe in the evening.

We had an amazing experience at Casa Madera, such a great date night spot! The environment, food, and service were top notch and we definitely go back again!

Came here for a friends birthday for brunch. We tried a few items on the menu, and they all tasted amazing!! Our favourite was the Huevos Rancheros dish. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. Loved the live performances. Definitely worth coming here again!

Best restaurant in Toronto. Where to start the food is delectable and the staff are very attentive and knowledgable about the menu and wines. The atmosphere is great and there was a live musician playing when we were there. It is a very romantic restaurant, with good sized food portions and varying cuisine. I would highly recommend.

We went for brunch this past Mother s Day, it was a great experience the aesthetic was beautiful and our server (Yiseth) was great she always made sure we were taken care of. Also Jazmin at the bar was amazing by helping us with our drinks and anything else that we needed. Both of these ladies gave phenomenal service and the food was incredible every plate was delicious overall we will definitely be coming back!

Great time, but they charged my credit card for a no-show fee. I showed up on time for my reservation...called and emailed numerous times and they said theyll look into it, but no one calls back. I will never be back or recommend an establishment without integrity.

Drinks came very slow and we arrived an hour after opening So there s no excuse and The reservation was for two birthdays and didn t get any special treatment or anything not worth it I even confirmed it was in the notes before my reservation wouldn t come back.

A good menu selection with a very eclectic vibe. great service throughout the night, but a little too loud to allow for a good dinner conversion without finding yourself screaming.

They hire workers who have no idea what the service is and how to treat customers, the coffee is generally terrible, the new barista does not know at all how to prepare coffee drinks and what milk foam should be, I am very upset, change the manager who can hire people with experience or at least train to such a level that people are happy

We were recently here for a birthday celebration and we re extremely disappointed. It was loud and busy. The food was not good - appetizer served with cucumbers that had been sliced and left to dry out hours before being served is just unimaginable to me - when you factor in the price paid it makes it a one star experience. To top this off, I booked the same day and shortly thereafter received a very rude text reminding me we will be charged a minimum fee if we cancel. Bad form! Bad everything!

Charli was an amazing server for our very important evening! My girlfriend and I were celebrating an anniversary as well as my birthday, Charli made us feel very welcome. When a question was asked that she could not answer, she got in contact with the right person, who was able to direct us to a perfect answer to our outstanding wine conundrum. All the staff (server, food runner, hostess, manager, busser) were very attentive and thoughtful and we felt very well looked after. Full credit to the chef/chefs/ kitchen hands for the incredible meal we ate. It was a 10/10 and if I didn t feel like it was a secret recipe I would have asked for that recipe to be emailed to me that instant. I absolutely loved the Al pastor tacos, and the idea of plantain chips for guacamole will personally change how I eat guacamole from now on If I could write an essay long review about everything I would. I would definitely recommend this place to people who want to enjoy a really good meal with amazing service

The restaurant is beautiful but I don t recommend their brunch experience. The music was suuuuper loud thus you can t have a normal conversation without screaming. The food is really overpriced and tasteless, maybe you pay for the dancers and musicians 160 for 2 people to eat burger and eggs is so frustrating

Been here twice for dinner. Everything during my 1st visit was perfect. I still recall the servers name from over a year ago. Thank you Stephen! A great experience

A chic and beautiful spot for a great meal. Sure, the prices are a bit elevated, but you are also in a beautiful space at a luxurious hotel in downtown Toronto. They got their game-on here for drinks - whether it be a fiery cocktail or cocktail layered with flavour-infused fog. Definitely worth trying out a few No complaints about the food here as well. Octopus starter was tender and had excellent flavours; Wagyu steak tender and flavourful. Striped sea bass beautifully cooked and presented. To cap things off, a Blanco y limon dessert contained within an edible white chocolate bowl. This is a spot you bring someone to impress For more great spots to eat, check out my feed on instagram

Elle was amazing! They had a cancellation and honoured my friend the private room for my good friend and it was awesome Ahaf and Marcello were amazing. They took care of us so well! It was my first time here and seeing how they take care of guests I will definitely come again and even bring my clients to have meetings and dinners with! Elle, martin, Marcelo and Anaf have been AMAZING for our friend Aga s birthday. Not only did they upgrade us to a private room but the service was impeccable. Martin was ver accommodating and understanding with the fact that majority of our party was running late and behind for this reservation as this was downtown. We were very welcomed and had a fabulous time. i m very pleasantly surprised at how this downtown location accommodated us. i will always recommend this location and specifically ask for Marcelo to serve you with Anaf!! GM Martin is amazing and also Elle!!

Great atmosphere, though it feels like the menu pricing is part of that luxury atmosphere that the restaurant is selling you because the menu prices are ~30% above where they deserve to be, if that makes sense. Wow I cant believe Im successful enough to spend $40 on a middling burger in such a trendy place. This feels great. Thats the feeling you can purchase here. Food was ok.

Honestly I was shocked by my experience. Service by every staff member was exceptional. I had to wait for a friend and the bartender had given me another one of my drinks to help ease my patience. Food was incredible. But the service is why I m eating 5 stars.

10/10 everything from the food and drinks to the service. Our server Quran or Kuran (I m not sure how to spell it) was amazing and very helpful and friendly. It is expensive but I would recommend this place to everyone to try at least once because the food and service is definitely worth the price. They also have a violinist and dancer that walks around. This was my first time in Toronto and will definitely be on my list to visit next time I m here!

If youre looking for a place with great cocktails, this is your go-to spot! The cocktails were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, and the overall service was excellent. However, their food is nothing special; Ive had better meals elsewhere in Toronto.

Went for a birthday celebration some dishes seemed overpriced for the quality received. Impressive presentation but flavours were quite flat and I ve had better at much lower-class establishments. I recommend the Duck Breast entree which saved the meal. Cocktails were not as great as I had been told. However the service was great, and the live DJ added to the atmosphere.

Everything from the decor, to the live music, the food, the cocktails, the service etc. was just such an elaborate and fantastic experience Of course, yes, this place is pricy and I definitely wouldn t be able to make it more than a special occasion once in a while style visit but WOW is it ever worth it (we went for my birthday dinner).

Went here for my birthday dinner and the only okay thing was the Wagyu Tacos. It was mentioned on the reservation and to the server that it was my birthday, but they didn t offer us any dessert. At the end of the dinner when my friends mentioned it was my birthday, the server then said they ran out of dessert to give , which is why he didn t give us anything. The hummus was the biggest disappointment too, I ve had better at the grocery store. The complimentary Salmon Tartare was good and the presentation of the food/drinks was good as well. Would not recommend - especially at the price point.

I came down to celebrate my birthday during the weekend for a little get away from home (NYC). I found Casa Madera on Tik Tok and it was eye capturing. I m glad I came here to celebrate. I wasn t really a fan of the food but, the service was phenomenal. They gave me a complimentary gesture by writing happy birthday on my plate(it honestly made my day)because I knew they didn t have to most restaurants charge for that. Small gestures go far and are memorable so thank you Casa Madera giving me that great experience.
