Awaken your tastebuds and enjoy quality time with friends at Copperhorn Meet House, a fine dining steakhouse with a menu you’ll crave. Located inside Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto.
What an amazing atmosphere my hubby & I came a cross today. Of course talking about Copperhorn, we received a warm welcomed by the restaurant staff. Excellent service. Staff were friendly. Just to mentioned, it was a busy restaurant. I enjoyed the porterhouse steak and risotto. If you guys drop by to the Great Canadian Casino, I highly recommend for you guys visit the Copperhorn restaurant. 😌
What a fantastic meal! There of us truly enjoyed our dinner. The server, Rahul, was very charming and patient. He made the experience unforgettable!
The serving staff is not up to par for an expensive restaurant. We arrived for a pre-show dinner at 5:45pm thinking we would be finished up and headed to the show by 7:30 at the latest. However, the service was so poor that we had to ask to pay our bill before the main courses even arrived, which was probably not wise. Constant mistakes were made with our order, servers dropping food all over the floor and spilling water on our table, waiting way too long for drinks, we had food delivered to us that was for a different table, the server never asked what temperature we wanted our steak, and when we asked about our main courses taking so long, the “supervisor” blamed the fact that the porterhouse steak I ordered was taking longer to cook. Funny because when we finally got the porterhouse, it was basically raw. Good thing for them is, we had already paid our bill before eating the mains. Oh and on top of that there is an undisclosed 2% fee when you want to pay with Visa or Mastercard? What, Why!? This place has potential if they get it together. If they want to be considered a world class casino facility that hosts world class acts on their stage they have to figure out the world class dining part, ‘cause this was not it.
Went to a concert and attended the Copperhorn. There are a number of low star reviews but we decided to give it a shot So glad we did It was a party of 3 and we had a great meal and good service and they got us out in time for the show Thank you
Food and service were better than any steakhouse I have been to recently. The food came out quickly and was presented well. Our server, Yufi was pleasant and kind. The restaurant itself is in the back of a casino with no separate entrance; this was the only downfall. Most of the patrons appeared to be here for the casino which affected the ambiance. There was no music and even though the space is clean and spacious, for me it was missing that element of warmness.
Remote location but with good food. Went there in a group of few people and service was very fast. Thank you Mia. Had Beef Carpaccio with Parmesan and Horseradish Foam for appetizer and steak for main course. The food was very good. The restaurant is located inside casino so if you want to spend some extra money on gambling it's for you. Big advantage is the huge underground parking which is free.
Ratings aren’t incredible here but I honestly really enjoyed my dinner. Started with a hearty pour glass of wine which was nice, complimentary bread with baked garlic was delish. Onion soup was very oniony (which I liked) and was a perfect starter. For mains, Husband and I split the porterhouse and a couple sides. It was a really nice amount of food! Definitely was too full for dessert. Service was attentive and the food came out very quickly. Steak was cooked perfectly for us (med rare) and could’ve used more seasoning but I had some peppercorn sauce on the side that spiced things up a bit. The whipped potatoes were fantastic. Fries and broccoli were great too. We’d come back for sure! And honestly $160 bill (incl tax) for two soups, a large glass of wine and a soda, 24oz porterhouse and 3 sides… I was happily impressed.
The food at Copperhorn is really good, and the service is also outstanding. Their menu changes all the time so that you don't get bored. I cannot wait to go back to try the other new items. Recommend that you park at the parking garage near the hotel, as it's the closest entrance to the restaurant.
We had rahul as a server and he was amazing. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. The service was spectacular and everything was perfect
I was hesitant to write this but it had to be addressed. We visited Copperhorn hoping to have a productive business meeting over dinner, but unfortunately, our experience was hindered by our server, Jay. While he was friendly and talkative, his constant interruptions and speeches about just random stuff made it difficult for us to focus on our conversation and finalize our business deal. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that Jay insisted on asking for our first names so he could address us personally throughout the evening. While some guests may appreciate this level of familiarity, it felt inappropriate and unprofessional given the context of our meeting. To make matters worse, Jay brought up his views on tipping culture during our meal. Discussing personal opinions about tipping while serving guests is highly unprofessional and detracted further from the dining experience. We understand the importance of good service, but in this case, Jay s approach was overly intrusive and distracted from our purpose. We hope this feedback helps the team improve awareness of guest needs, particularly for those dining with specific intentions in mind.
Amazing service and the food was out of this world! Highly recommend for a classy, high-end meal and atmosphere. A hidden gem! Vegetarian options: So many veg options
The ambience of the restaurant was so calming. The servers were kind & polite. The food was perfectly prepared. I highly recommend the beef carpaccio. Overall I had a great experience. I will be visiting this place again.
Great Food! Must visit...The Bartender Denver was fabulous with his service.
Food was amazing specially potterhouse, perfectly cooked and balanced with flavours. And loved the ambiance too. Rahul was amazing with his exceptional nature which made me feel like home.
Absolutely worst steak don t waste your money. I ordered the strip loin last night and shared with my friend. We both felt the steak didn t taste right but thought we were being overly picky. We are both in agonizing stomach pain today and close to vomiting. It was awful I cannot warn you enough not to go.
The food was cold and over all I really dont understand how can you serve a chicken wrapped with bones inside. The waiter said it was normal.
Our server Enrique (Sept 21) was excellent. He was Extremely professional, fast, and efficient. Prime Rib was delicious.
Really enjoyed the Caesar salad, the NY steak and the service from our waiter Valentyn. Top class !!
The food quality was well below the price point. Staff were friendly. Save your money and go to a proper steakhouse.
Great dinner Excellent service and steak!! Food
Garbage. Better off going anywhere but here. This place is marketed as a mid to upper level restaurant, but is sub par. Service is terrible, mistakes are constantly made and no consideration to the customer. Original staff have left save 3 or 4 servers, and it s understandable. It must be daunting to constantly fail and apologize to customers. I wish I could give negative stars.
2% fee added to the bill for paying Visa or MC which is laughable for a steakhouse in Toronto. Service fee also automatically added without disclosure of the fee % or the purpose of the fee until asked (18% tip added). Just feels cunning all around.
Food was good but not as good as I expected. But service saved the day. Denver is fast, efficient and considerate. Made my week worth it!!!
Denver provided incredible service. Friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The prime rib is outstanding and so is the carrot cake. Denver if youre reading this, thank you so much for making my dining experience a stellar one!
Awesome adult getaway at this resort. We did a concert ..stayed at the hotel (which was upgraded to racetrack view)..won at the casino and loved our experience at the COPPER HORN restaurant. DENVER our waiter hit all marks for outstanding service last night. Compliments goes out to their entire team! I live by one moto ..I gota work ..I gota play ..if I cant have both .get out of my way! Thanks for a fun night Denver! Marco & Maria
My boyfriend and I ordered medium steak but his steak was rare my was overcooked and We paid $220 for that awful dinner experience, not the servers fault for sure, but poor management.
The food was good but service missed the mark. Drinks not refilled in a timely manner and mixed up order at the table (steaks ordered to different wellness). The waiter also spilled a drink at the table and all the food did come out at once. The mushrooms ordered with our steak dinners arrived 5 minutes after the meal. Prices here reflect a premium service but that is not the case. Also we kept getting notification about missing our reservation while we where dining in the restaurant.
The food here is horrible. I ordered a steak that taste like how a barn smells, and a lobster tail which was $50 and came out looking raw sand didn t taste good either. I would not recommend at all.
Pleasantly surprised with the food, cesar salad was amazing and the bread provided with the warm garlic clove was a unique touch!! Decor was a bit plain and could be improved, staff were great.
What a ripoff for the price onion soup was terrible 75 dollar bone in rib-eye probably 1/2 inch thick just like a pan fried steak total rubbish quality but cooked well don t waste your money Food
High price for low quality food! Service was ok
The food was great. The people there are super nice. I like the decorations of the restaurant, very cosy. I definitely come back to this restaurant agian.
We dined there last evening for 2nd and last time. We order a virgin Mohito, they couldnt make a 2nd one, no more limes, We order a Caeser, no spice watery. French Onion Soup over salted and luke warm. Prime Rib done ok. Asked for Horseradish, got old, creamy Horseradish. Asked for Sour Cream for the whipped potatoes, got a dish of Mayonaise. Dont waster your money here. WONT GE BACK!!!!! NASTY!!!!
Copper Meet somewhere else Came to the casino and hoped for a good food experience for dinner. The food was brought to the table all wrong, cooked wrong, cold, and extremely slow. DO NOT GO FOR DINNER
We were there twice and no complaints. The service was good and food was amazing. We are going again on coming friday for dinner. Food : 5/5
Good food and good service. The restaurant also accepts the comps from the casino.
The mushroom soup was exquisite! Very very delicious. Servers are extremely friendly and attentive.
If you do not mind sharing your dinner with the odor of a hundred smokers Then this is the place. They built the restaurant on smokers and washroom alley! whod thought!. The meal started with my Caesar salad. There is NO pepper on the table and so I asked for a pepper mill. (waited) The waiter has no idea of how to operate a pepper mill. I told him to loosen up the nut so that I would not get FINE pepper. He would not try it!. I already actually thought since he tried to be honest with me about appetizers and had a sense of humor that we could get along great. Salad was OK Not great. My wife and my sons potato came out next. after a bit of time - My steak comes out next - then their prime rib cuts came out - minutes after the potatoes. ????????? you could tell that the meat had been sitting under the heat lamps since a lot of blood had come out of the meat and was starting to gain a new colour. I had asked for my Porter House steak to be Chicago pink with the exterior as black as Toby! I will try to send the pictures that show a very uneven cook. It looked as if it had been seared in a pan and then - I do not even know how they finished it - they told me it was all done on a grill with apple wood flavoring. Both sides were different with a mix of light brown and a little darker. It appears that Toby left the building. I ate a few pieces of the filet side to find grizzle on the side that was unchewable and a little farther in - you could chew it but I spit it out due to such an expensive piece of meet not prepared proper or finished proper at least in my eyes. They did not finish it with garlic butter but they did actually cut the meet into pieces after they may have let it rest? but to put it under the heat lamp!!!!????? Their chef know mothing about meat and heat lamps and to let an expensive piece of steak drain its blood onto my plate was very unprofessional. The broccolini was was either steamed or boiled to an al donte state. WOW! they got that right - They just did not season it- No garlic butter or lemon butter or cheese - just a little water from the cooking cycle. Another piece of stupidity. I asked the waiter for the age of the meat and explained how long the meat was aged before cutting. He had NO idea. I then asked for the manage. She knew what I meant but had NO answer. Even Montanas has on their wall for their cheaper steaks that their meet is aged for 28 days. Here I am at what is supposed to be a fine dining steak house and they have NO clue! No pride in their meat? I then explained how I knew that the meat was not hung for very long since the meat showed signs of being tenderized by a machine. When I tried pulling strands of meat it came of like almost hamburger. I should be able to get full strands of meat if it was aged since it is the enzymes that break the meat down and create the flavour that was not in this meat. As for the prime rib the problems were that the centre of the meat was so dense that my wife and my son left their whole centre. The perimeter meat was great! I can attest to that since it is really the meat that I ate. This whole problem could have been averted since I had run into Ted (General manager) outside of the location about an hour before. He asked was I going to eat at his location and I said No since I had heard many bad things about it. He assured ne that it was just not true. I talked to my family and changed our minds about the Mandarin who has Fantastic service and reasonable prices and pretty decent prime rib and cuts of steak ( not fantastic but surely a ton better that the quality that I received at this STEAK HOUSE where it should be assumed the quality etc would be far superior. I have to live with the fact that I convinced my family to waste what should have been a great night since it was our New Years dinner to have what was so less of a meal! That has bugged me to no end since that day. There was more detailed but I was cut off due to character limit. Best recommendation just do not waste your time.
My partner and I were craving a nice steak dinner after playing some slots at the casino. We reviewed the menu and decided to give this place a try even though it was expensive. The hostess saw us and instead of coming straight to us, she went over to talk to some other staff while looking at us. It was almost like she was reluctant to greet us. Then, she came over and explained that they were short-staffed and it would take 5 or 6 minutes for the server to come talk to us once we were seated. It seemed strange that she would tell us this (I don t think front of house staff should ever tell people that they should expect bad service?), but counter to my instincts we decided to get seated anyway. She sat us down at a table right beside what appeared to be a defunct buffet service area, with very bright lighting. Since the restaurant was almost empty, we asked if we could be seated somewhere else but she said that we couldn t. I looked around at the empty restaurant, which had no ambience at all (ie. no art on the walls, bare tables). We made the decision to leave before even getting anything to drink or eat. I just didn t get the feeling that we would be having a good experience. Note: we ended up going to Montana s BBQ (5 minutes away) and had a tasty steak dinner and great service, for probably half the price.
Awful management, super rude manager. ZERO hospitality.
This was the worst dining experience we ve ever had. Manger was absolutely unprofessional I ordered a Prime Rib steak at a Rare Came out so well done that it could be cut with a fork The manager questioned to why and offer us a glass of wine to comp it. We don t drink as we had water and a Pepsi. Finally agreed to take the steak back, didn t replace. Still charged me for the uneaten steak. Do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Opening weekend you would expect them to be prepared and ready to put best foot forward, they were not. Restaurant was at best at 40% capacity and we were told it would be atleast 30 mins before we were allowed to place an order. When I question how that could be considering the low capacity the manager at the front proceeded to mansplain things stating you clearly have no idea how a back of house works . With over a decade of restaurant s experience under my belt I can not stress how unprofessional that comment was. After that we decided to leave, but then another manager tracked us down and told us if we went back he would get us a table and we would be able to place an order within 10 mins of being seated, so we gave them another try. Overall the only bright spots were the second manager, our friendly server and the food was decent enough (note we only ordered apps and sides as we didn t trust that real food wasn t going to take an eternity).
Copperhorn meet house at woodbine casino is one of a kind after eating at 5 stars restaurants this location beats back most top restaurants food is fantastic created by its own chefs the supervisor is amazingly helpful and their server Sam is wonderful friendly kind and talks to you as a friend you have know all your life. I highly recommend this location to everyone I know its my go to place from now on I feel like family. Thanks to the Staff.
Service was top-notch, food was delicious, and I appreciated the craft beer offerings. Our server was very friendly, and one of the managers even dropped by the table just to say hello and introduce himself. Welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall a great experience and well definitely be going back!
Took over an hour for my food even though the restaurant was empty when we ordered. My medium porterhouse steak came out close to well done and fairly dry, and the lobster had next to no meat in it. We kept being told our food is almost ready sorry for the wait, but no one really did anything about it other than saying sorry. Spent close to 300$ and will never be back here to eat. The server was good though, don t blame her for the kitchens timing and food quality/prices or for the managers lack of action to rectify poor food quality or poor service due to the food taking so long. After walking out a manager approached us and said how was it? I was honest and explained why I d never come back and he said why didn t you say something earlier. Basically stated that I already paid so can t really do anything, even though I paid cash and a refund or a voucher/credit wouldn t be hard for him to do. He made it seem like it s too late to do anything and like it s my fault there couldn t be a fair solution for dissatisfied customers.
It was so convenient having a nice restaurant in a casino. We took our friend for her birthday dinner. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our server was Ceramica and she was excellent. Food was very good. I was impressed!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Copperhead Restaurant, newly opened at Woodbine Casino! Very impressed with delicious prime rib, New York steak and Cesar salad! Our server Ceramica was very accommodating, friendly and professional. She made our visit special and enjoyable. What a great night. I would highly recommend it!!! Wheelchair accessibility: On ground floor with easy access to restaurant and washroom located near by.
this a terrible steakhouse. 6 people 6 steaks. none were done as requested. some were even cold. the steaks are tasteless and dry never mind 60$ a steak wouldn t eat there again for free. Food : 1/5
2 times I went to woodbine race track and went to gamble with some friends, always empty seats all night but the front staff says no tables Pretty sad to leave a bad review before even dinning there Why they have reservations at a casino on a Saturday night is just bonkers to me Turn me away twice see yah not getting my money I will just go to chop or the keg on Albion
They charge a 2% credit card fee! No where, anywhere does it say that they charge this fee. SHAMEFUL!! THE CASINO MAKES ENOUGH MONEY THAT THEY SHOULDNT NEED TO CHARGE A 2% CREDIT CARD FEE!!!! UNACCEPTABLE! The restaurant felt cafeteria style almost. Ordered shrimp cocktail, came with cocktail sauce an guacamole? Who decided this was a good idea? I wont ever go back and I wouldnt recommend to anyone. Unless you have comps.
Copperhorn is undoubtedly a cut above the rest in Casino Woodbine. The attention to detail, top-notch service, and exceptional food made this dining experience truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, the pacing of the meal here was impeccable. The staff demonstrated a keen sense of timing, allowing enough time between courses for a relaxed and unhurried dining experience. The overall timing of the meal struck the perfect balance between efficiency and unhurried enjoyment. It s evident that this restaurant diner understands the importance of pacing in a fine dining setting, contributing to a seamless and delightful culinary journey. Highly recommended!
Overall it was decent, definitely not the best steakhouse in the city, but the steak was good. The food just took too long to come out. The best part was that our server Sam was quite the chatterbox and entertained us the whole time. Would come again.
First time here. They have lots to work on still as far as running the restaurant smoothly. Lots of glitches and errors but I believe that is due to them still being new and ironing out the kinks. Oysters were not shucked properly, waited probably 25 minutes for our dessert to arrive and when our molten lava cake arrived it was cold and literally tasted like chocolate cake there was no chocolate inside . Again, I believe they will fix these issues once things start picking up but if they don t they re in trouble. Mia was great .
The new restaurant at casino woodbine... Ops they changed their name Great Canadian Casino Toronto... The food was amazing and OMG the price no sticker shock!!!!! For the 5 star quality steak house food atomsphere the price was amazing. Ive been three tines since it opened and even use casino comp dollarsto pay the entire bill. Some friendly tips; the staff are new and some still learning.. So be kind.. Tips are not included in comp dollars so bring some cash to tip. The restaurant has limited hours and days which sometimes is inconvient... Wednesday to Sundays after 4pm. hope to see you there! Its my new spot!
Taste was just okay, however presentation was 10/10 visually nice but just too bland for me. Staff and manager were very friendly. They are fairly new so still working out the kinks. Overall the experience was good in terms of atmosphere and vibe however the food just needs more flavour.
Excellent food presentation and taste. Outstanding service from our server Vlady. This place is an absolute must.
The execution on the food was well done. The menu was adequate with lots of different options. I had oysters, steak and broccolini, cheese cake, and a few different types of red wine. Don t expect a premium high end steakhouse as that s not what this is, but it gets the job done for being able to provide a decent dining experience. The areas of improvement mostly needed actually come from service staff and the wine list. They are fairly new so I will give them them some slack. The servers are still very green, so they lack confidence and some knowledge which would be expected at a higher end restaurant. I imagine that gets better with time. They were very polite and attentive which is good, and it was clear they were trying. The wine list needs work. Definitely needs a Somm to provide some consulting. The decor and ambience itself is actually quite nice. I recommend people give this a shot. As the rest of the property s construction gets completed, and more traffic comes through the property, it would be nice to see this place take it up a notch and get into the top tier of fine dining. It has the potential.
The food was way over priced with small portions, menu was small, food came out extremely late for steak, the only reason why I gave it 1 star is because the staff was nice. I would not go back or recommend anyone to go there. I am not picky when I eat, Im just trying to help others from wasting their time and money. Spent 44 bucks on a prime rib that came with a baked potato I could get at a Wendys, that $44 just came with the steak and potatoe, I had to spend an extra $6 on mushrooms, no salads or bread. The other 4 people at the table didnt have a better story
Steaks at what purports to be an upscale steakhouse should be properly cooked. But alas they were not. 4 steaks, only one was serviceable & that was the replacement for the overcooked one. Sides were good though. 3* only because the service was excellent.
My Husband and I attended this restaurant over the course of the weekend. We were lucky to have a great server by the name of Tiffany who thoroughly went through the menu with us and provided us with her recommendations. We started off with our drinks and some appetizers. The drinks were absolutely amazing. Tiffany recommended a signature drink and I was amazed at how fruity, sweet and delicious it was. Steaks were made to perfection and we were amazed by how juicy and well seasoned the steak was. We will definitely attend this restaurant for one of our date nights again.
Fine dining prices without the fine dining ambiance or quality. Soup was delivered without spoons - had to ask 5 different people before anyone brought one. Steaks were not seasoned at all, had no char and were very disappointing. Ambiance was non-existent; lights were brighter than a school cafeteria. Don t waste your money.
Tiffany the bartender was a bright light of this new establishment. The food was great, the ambiance could be slightly improved (a little bright), but Tiffany was one of my favourite servers of all time.
Great food overall!
The host who greeted me was lovely. Tiffany was my server/bartender and she was a ROCKSTAR, her recommendations of the menu was comforting and turned out to be amazing options. My cocktails she made were delicious. The onion soup was my favourite. I d go back just because of my bartender/server Tiffany because she was so dang pleasant. Will return!
Imagine your server calling you out in front of your friends about your low tip... That was Tiffany to me tonight. I will admit I tipped $1 and heres why. I had to remind her about the warm water I asked for, asked for lemon twice as well (never got it), my friends plates were taken away soon after they finished but mine sat in front of me for at least 30 minutes. We also waited 40+ minutes by the time she asked if we wanted our bill. Also assumed that we would be paying on one bill which wouldnt make sense based on what the 3 of us ordered. It was not a busy night mind you. The worst part was after I paid, Tiffany said Were you not happy with your service tonight? I said Pardon me? She repeated her question and said since you only tipped me a dollar so .. and you have to manually key it in... I calmly proceeded to tell Tiffany why I was not happy with my service that night. WHO DOES THAT??? I cannot believe she was so bold to criticize me about the tip I gave (that shes lucky she even got) and did not apologize. Instead she justified herself. Thank you to the supervisor for taking time to speak with me after I complained. I will not be returning here and will be following up with the manager. We went to celebrate a friends birthday and that is not how we wanted to have our night end. Tiffany owes me an apology
Good Food, quality steaks
Our waiter Harsh gave us the best service we have had in a long time. Will for sure recommend to friends n family.
Went here Tuesday evening. Our server was Tiffany. She was awesome!!! Cant give her enough praise for how well she took care of us. We will look for Tiffany the next time we come.
Awesome restaurant good food thanks to our server Harsh Great customer service
My husband and I had dinner at Copperhorn Meet House inside Woodbine Casino last night. I am vegan but my husband is not. There were no vegan options on the menu. However, after speaking with the host (amazing guy, but unfortunately, I did not get his name, my apologies), he assured me that the chef would be able to prepare something for me, so we decided to give it a try. Our server, Valentine was friendly, kind, and efficient. He already knew what I would be ordering, which showed me that the staff are a team, united to make their guests happy. Albeit I am vegan, I am not overly picky, so I said, Im vegan, let the chef do his thing. Chef Binh made me one of the best meals I have had eating out. I should add, my husband is a chef himself. Chef Binh converted the oxtail gnocchi to make it vegan for me. He prepared the gnocchi in a delicious broth with mushrooms, carrots, asparagus and gremolata. It was incredible! This dish should be on the menu! My husband had the oxtail gnocchi, as intended and he too was incredibly happy with his meal. When we were paying, the charismatic bartender Tiffany asked how we enjoyed our meals and I gushed over our delicious experience. She then called Chef Binh to meet us. We expressed our gratitude and the two chefs bonded over appreciation for the culinary arts. I dont usually post reviews, but I had to. What a great experience! Thank you all at Copperhorn!
Not a bad place for Prime Rib. Nice staff and good ambiance for a local Casino.
Food was burnt and upon request they denied that food is not burnt like I ll sue your restaurant
Lily is very unprofessional, unqualified and worst customer service they have provided, burnt food on table and calling security for unprofessional behaviour, bring your restaurant to china.
First off the whole evening we were swatting g away fruit flies from our table very disgusting. The 24 Oz porter house steak was not 24 Oz, the 9oz glass of wine was more like 5oz, there service was insanely slow. Would definitely not eat here again due to flies akd service....the steak was very good though but for sure not worth 75 bucks
Food and service were great. Wasnt too busy which was nice as it didnt take long to get served our food. Price was actually pretty decent for a nice sit down dinner. The only bad part was the surprise at the end when we were told that paying the bill with a credit card would incur a 2% surcharge. Had to pay with cash or debit so just be aware of that. Ill come again if the opportunity arises.
