Lebanese Restaurant
The food was fresh & delicious, in very generous portions! They had loads of dairy-free options to choose from. We especially loved the shrimp sayadiyeh. Counter staff was also friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!
Great place for some Lebanese food, clean seating area, great atmosphere. The food has great flavour and the portion size left me stuffed, my dish was cooked perfectly (shish taouk), i suggest you try it. I also had the rice pudding, it was amazing, it had pistacios and tasted like roses. I do recommend you try that as well.
Lebanese rest. Very clean and tasty yummy food! Nice welcoming! One thing to add; lebanese soft music to feel the lebanese atmosphere and nostalgia ☺️🇱🇧🇨🇦
Finally an authentic Lebanese culinary experience in Toronto. Amazing food and vibes. Must try!
This is my second time at Daymi located on Queen street west near brock ave and the food is unreal. The quality is top tier and the food is so well seasoned. I ordered the Harak Osbao (must try), Shrimp Sayadiyeh, and a side of Falafels. It’s definitely one of my new favourite take out spots, can’t wait to try more things on the menu!
At this point, I have tried all the mains on their menu except for the chicken press sandwich. All were amazing and I would have again. My favourites are the Kafta and Batata (hamburgers with sliced potatoes cooked in tomato sauce) and the Shrimp Sayadiyeh (spiced shrimp on rice). The portion sizes are generous. We ordered through Uber Eats and I recommend you place an order early for a timed delivery.
Extremely glad that I came across Daymi! I tried multiple dishes from here and they were all absolutely delicious however the Harak Osbao gave me flashbacks to my childhood as it was so authentic and yummy. I definitely recommend checking Daymi out.
Came across this spot on my Sunday walk to brunch with friends. Decided I'd stop in on Tuesday for lunch. I got the fattoush salad and the falafel side order. You get 6 falafels for $8! Felt like a complete and healthy meal. The fattoush was great. A different version then I have had at other places. That was a nice change up to the dish. The pomegranate molasses dressing is great. I would order an extra serving of the crispy pita chips next time. The dish could use more to add more crunchy and texture to the dish. I wish the dip that came with the falafels was a little thicker, but otherwise it's a great side. I got them right out of the fryer....which is the only way they should be eaten. Nice airy spot and a cute streamlined design. The server did a good job and was friendly. I'd come back and try the shrimp dish I saw next time. P.S. I'd put a sandwich board outside to help promote the restaurant. Many people who walk by don't notice the new spot. Plus make the menu on the window bigger.
I have ordered catering, take out and dined in here - I feel like people are sleeping on this place! The quality of everything is very high and the flavours are great. Love Daymi.
This is an amazing spot, the food feels like a warm hug from your mom, and the service is incredible! My favourite part was the kafta plates, and pita in a little bag was a really nice touch !! Try this for a laid back weekend brunch!
The food is absolutely amazing. It s a feast for the eyes too, all the dishes are so well thought out. Highly recommend.
Good clean flavors. The rice was very memorable.
Batata harra ( spicy fried potatoes) and kaftan sandwich were excellent!! Highly recommend!
Wouldn t do any modifications and very rigid with menu items (asked for extra coleslaw and sauce they told me it affects inventory and management is against it, lol). Way too many middle eastern restaurants around that do accommodate to deal with that
Christoph was so kind. The food (shish taouk was delicious!!!)
very cute spot. came for lunch with a friend, had the kafta sandwich and fattet hummus so much flavour. will be back
Chef Cigdem very friendly and helpful . Thanks for hospitality
the harak osbao . SO good
finally an authentic Lebanese spot in Toronto! so so good
Taouk sandwich 11/10
Excellent middle eastern food. Highly recommend
The food is authentic with a unique twist. Tried the Fatteh and it was delicious.
Very nice restaurant with amazing host.
Delicious
food is absolutely amazing!!! the falafel is absolutely fantastic!
The most authentic hummus I have had in the city
Great quality at reasonable price. Authentic Lebanese cuisine!
Love this place and the food here is on point! Had a great experience
We tried Harak Osbao and it was so delicious and perfectly made!
I really wanted to love this place, it s beautiful and great service but maybe it s because it wasn t busy, however the falafel was probably one of the worst I ve had, all I could taste was oil. The shrimp sayadiyeh was ok but rice was kind of overcooked but flavour was great. I hope they put more attention to the falafel as that was my main purpose for going and I am very disappointed.
Best authentic Lebanese food in Toronto by far, especially the falafel exactly how they are made back home in Lebanon.
A place with Arabic and Lebanese food, with an acceptable flavor but nothing surprising. The proposal is more oriented towards an urban food style than towards something traditional or a good Lebanese stew. The prices are fair, the place is very clean, the staff is incredibly friendly.
Came here for a birthday dinner & was absolutely wowed! Probably one of the best Lebanese restaurants in Toronto by a far mile. Cute interior, lovely service and fair pricing for huge portions. Make a trip out here just to try their Harak Osbao, it s insanely good :)
Loved it!
don t get me wrong the food is great but the portions and the prices are complete robbery it would make sense if these weren t traditional arab dishes or like a different take on them but it s literally the same stuff u can get at many other restaurants with decent portions. really sweet and attentive staff, i wanted to give five stars but alas
Really tasty food with quality ingredients, portions are small and the menu is somewhat limited definitely on the expensive side. Two starters and a side dish came to $50. Food
everyone was so nice! It s so cute inside and most importantly the food was perfection. The chicken sandwich is so good. Can t wait to try more menu items next time.
Great food. Never eaten inside only take out. Love the food. The lentils are delish.
High price for a small amounts of portions. The actual taste was average and didnt match up the price.
I m glad I waiting until after I ate the food to make this review because not only was the service welcoming but the quality of the Kabsa chicken and rice was excellent and the cherry on top was a rice pudding and the orange cake. Please, if you eat here order the dessert!
Seriously best food ever!! Feels like i m back home. Amazing atmosphere very casual and wholesome.. Love the owner she is the sweetest !!
This is a great newer Arab food spot in Parkdale. While not cheap, the Shrimp Sayadiyeh is one of my favourite dishes in the city. Absolutely delicious!
I was really excited to try out this spot but I was quite disappointed. I ordered the chicken for takeout. I feel like the portion was way too small for the price charged, and I don t think quality matched the price as well. I had also ordered one of the desserts for takeout, which I received uncooked with an instruction to bake for 25 minutes . While ordering I was told by the cashier the dessert would take 25 minutes to be made and if I could wait, and then after a 30 minute wait, I received the chicken dish and an uncooked dessert. When I got home and realized this, I called to inquire about it and I was smugly asked do you not have an oven at home? . I was frankly quite shocked. after ending the call, I assume the store manager made this person call me back and offer me a free dessert, but by then I had lost all interest. I do want to say that the dessert was very delicious, but the service was quite poor.
Food was amazing, felt like a home cooked meal! Very flavourful and presentation was great. Yasmine the owner checked in with us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us a run down on the dishes we chose. Great spot for dine in or take out. Will for sure be back!
I was excited to try this place. So I ordered kafta and potato. It came with Arabic bread (aka pita). However, as a Lebanese citizen, I know that this dish comes with rice, not bread. And for 25$ + tax, I expected to have a side salad portion with the main dish. The cashier was friendly but spoke in English. Also the music was in English. I expected Arabic not English, to reflect the restaurant s identity. On the positive side, the restaurant, tables, floor and toilet were clean and the dish tasted good.
Delicious food and really lovely people here :)
Restaurant top of my street... Bars been here 13 years (Pharmacy Bar) and many many things have come and gone up there... truly every thing gotten from them has been great. I miss Bacchus ...(yes I know different style food..but..)... but this is really great food.... Shrimp and rice is fantastic. finally .....up there. Room is bright but thats coming from someone cheap who hates buying lightbulbs. Support the few restaurants in Parkdale. I wish them the best.
One of best Shrimp Sayadiyeh I had! Food was tasty and clean, good portion too. I am coming back to try other dishes.
Incredibly fresh and flavourful.
Welcome addition to the neighbourhood! Really friendly service helping me understand the menu and decide what to get. Food was also delicious. Can t wait to try more.
Very delicious Middle Eastern cuisine, congratulations
I m was so happy Daymi was everything we hoped it would be! We had a lot of the menu and while everything was good, two things stand out above the others: the falafel and the Harak Osbao. The falafel is the freshest I ve ever had. It s hot, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. It s unbelievable and someone who usually goes for meat first I ve been craving getting that again every time. The other dish we were blown away by was the Harak Osbao. It was so flavourful everyone that had some thought it was their favourite dish. I can already tell our regular order will be that, falafel, and fatoush salad. What a wonderful place and amazing staff!
The service, vibe and food is great! I cant recommend this place enough best arabic/ middle eastern food in Toronto. This has become my weekly spot. Really love having this in the neighborhood!!
Iconic
we got takeout. we spent 200 bucks for four people and were left hungry. pitiful portion sizes for the prices they re charging. delicious food, the flavours were spot on. i understand the current economy is in shambles but this feels incredibly overpriced for what you get. 23 dollars should get you more than a cup of (delicious!) rice and a small chicken leg. especially in parkdale!
I ordered a chicken sandwich, but the toum tasted like potato, and the knafeh was like mhalbiyeh with bread crumbs. Just one bitr.. And I had to throw them away. Its disappointing to say this about a Lebanese restaurant, especially as a Lebanese person.
Absolutely amazing. Possibly the best falafel I ve had in the city, can t wait to try other things!!
True and authentic middle eastern food. Great customer service, love the interior and customer service.
My review is not a reflection of their food but, the delivery with Uber. I ordered the Harak Osbao which says it comes with a pita. Served with a crispy pita on the side . The food came without the pita, so essentially I had to eat just a soup for dinner. The lentil soup itself was good but, when I raised this issue with Uber , they refused to help. As a customer, this is very frustrating and although I enjoyed the soup, the entire experience was very unpleasant.
Remind me of the taste of home I love the flavor. The Shish Tawouk plate is delicious.
Daymi takes me back home. Overall great food, great service and a great vibe. Highly recommended!
Lovely staff and excellent food! Loved their lentil dish and the chicken was perfectly cooked. TRY THEIR ORANGE CAKE -- oh my god, so tender and delicious!
Flavor is special!
As someone from this part of the world, I m always on the look out for authentic and tasty middle eastern food and this place is amazing. Tastes like my grandmother s cooking.
The most authentic and tastiest lebanese rice pudding in the GTA.
Ordered the hummus, burghul, shish tawok, and rice pudding, and everything was perfect.
The place is great and the owners takes pride in what she cooks. Very glad it s come to the area and the food is fantastic. Bravo.
Amazing food! Hearty and delicious .space is fresh and trendy!
Late post got food about a week ago! Food was delicious! Enjoyed it so much! Give the place a try you will not regret it. Definitely going back to try some of there other dishes on the menu!! Buon Apetitto!
Food is really good but a bit too expensive for what it is
The food was amazing! It tastes homemade.
Great food. Quality ingredients. Nice-sized portions. Highly recommend.
Great little Lebanese kitchen with the owner cooking all delicious foods from her childhood. The staff are great too, and of course the dishes are so yummy!
The Modern fresh Arab food was amazing! Welcome addition to Parkdale.
Tried this place for delivery based off a neighbour s recommendation as I was walking by earlier today and it was incredible! Can t wait to try for dine in.
Great Arabic food!
Incredibly tasty food and very authentic. Come here if you want to try Arabic meals that are not typically commercialized. Tastes like my mom s homemade dishes. We needed a place like this! Lovely staff and host.
FABULOUS! The food is absolutely delicious. The flavours! Kabsa Chicken cooked to perfection, fall off the bone. The Fatoush salad bursting with flavour and freshness. Best Arabic food in Toronto and beyond. Super friendly, joyful space that offers everything you could want Great service, authentic food you can feel the love in and very very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Daymi. Especially if you have never tried Arabic food-it s for sure the place you want to experience for the first time-you ll fall in love, anjad. Bravo!! So happy to have this spectacular addition to the neighbourhood.
Cute spot! food was fresh and excellent, would recommend the shrimp dish and fattoush salad
The best authentic Lebanese food ! Excellent service, very welcoming owner and staff, and vibrant decor!
